Lydia, a businesswoman from Thyatira, was the first person to trust Jesus Christ on the continent of Europe. The Apostle Paul met her by the river in Philippi, where she was praying with other Jewish ladies. Paul shared the message of Jesus Christ with Lydia, and she responded by giving her life to Jesus, leading her husband, children, and servants to Christ, and inviting Paul and his team to stay in her home.
