Well, Rocket can. The Miami Dolphins have been the talk of the league. They are 3-0, and they have a good matchup to kick off Week 4.

Coming up tomorrow night, up against the Cincinnati Bengals. Let's head out to the hotline right now and welcome a man that hosts a radio show in Miami on 790. The Ticket also talks of Michigan as well because I've been loving the Wolverines this past season. He attended there, and that is our pal Leroy Hoard. His dumb producer, Hot Take Hickey.

And I also love Leroy Hoard because he called Ryan a dumb producer. How you been, my friend? What's happening?

What's going on? I gotta eat some crow here. I was very skeptical about the Dolphins.

They're making the playoffs this year. Why? But why were you skeptical? Like, I love the way we take situations and pull out of them what we want, okay?

And I'll give you a perfect example. What do you think of Josh Allen after year two? Yeah, you didn't think he was going to be a superstar.

There's no doubt about that. Right, but, you know, it's funny because we live in a day and age in sports where development, God forbid a player should develop because he's only a prospect, right? And that's what these guys are. And so, you know, we look at these situations and say, after a year or two, oh, he's a bust. But here's what's happened in football, that I think teams are being prejudiced. Teams are being pressured to find out if their quarterback is good sooner than they've ever had to because of the contract, right? So they're forced into situations where, you know, you drafted a prospect and he may need some develop.

And if you don't have the tools around him to develop, then, yeah, he's not going to be able to perform. And two came into the league hurt, okay? Down here in Miami, we didn't even think he was going to play this rookie year. And all of a sudden he started playing. The next year he got a little bit better, a little bit stronger. The coach didn't like him. For reasons I can't explain, the only problem I ever had with Brian Flores was this. You are given talent and it's your job to get the most out of that talent.

End of story. The fact that you said a quarterback can't make it after that amount of time without actually putting forth the effort to get the best out of him, I think that's a poor job of coaching. So now to get the guy who the second Mike McDaniel took over, he prays to him, put him in the best possible position to succeed.

They got weapons around him, right? And now he's succeeding. And would you believe people have the audacity to say the reason why he's succeeding is because of all the talent he has around him. So he can't win.

You're exactly right. The throw that he made on third and 22. I know you got to have talent. There's no doubt about it. Everyone has to have talent in the NFL.

Not one person could win, but playing hurt, it's like what else can you say at this point? Like I'm not ready to tell you he's going to be a top five quarterback. He's going to be an all time great quarterback, but he'll be on the team next year. There's no doubt about it. And this team should be in the playoffs. Let me get on you for a second. So your conclusion for the first three weeks and how to play who basically lead the league in most quarterback stats right now is he'll be on the team next year.

That's all you got. Yeah, he's going to be on the team and I'm going to feel a whole lot better about him because they're going to the playoffs. It's not me knocking the guy. But when we talk about top five quarterbacks in the league, the guy's off to a wonderful start, but I'm not ready to go put him there in that category yet. Let's start this way. Let's say the things that we saw out of him, which got him a top five pick made him a top five pick. He's starting to show things we're starting to see. Yes, absolutely. Hundred percent. Where that ends up, we don't know.

But as far as being able to throw the ball downfield, as far as being accurate, as far as being able to move the pocket and make throws on the run, check, check, check. That's what we saw in Alabama. That's what we got. Good job. Let's keep it moving.

Leroy Hoard here with us. I will say this. I didn't know what Mike McDaniel was.

I'm not one of those talk show hosts that try to tell you I know everything. But you're exactly right. The support McDaniel has given to a it seems like and I know it's their three and oh, and it's early. But this dude right now, it just seems like he has such a good pulse of that locker room and he hits every right button when connecting with his players.

I just think that his relationship and how he does things kind of rejuvenated guys. You know, when you've been getting yelled at for two or three years and then you have a guy that comes in and he could be just as much of a hard ass as all the other guys. But the way he delivers that message may be refreshing to the team and makes them feel more accountable that the coaches are yelling at him, but he's coming in a way that puts the onus on them to succeed. And I've had coaches like that. And you almost feel worse when the coach doesn't yell because you think, oh, man, I got I got I got to work at this. I don't want to let anybody down. And I think everybody feels that way.

It's also crazy, too. You look at the Eagles, a three and oh, you look at the Dolphins who are three and oh, the amount of similarities that both those teams have because I know how he rose to win a Super Bowl. People ready to fire him in Philadelphia.

Chris Greer, a lot of people were losing patience. They not only said, OK, we have a franchise quarterback, we have our guy, but they made moves in the last off season or two to go put Jalen Hurts into a position to succeed because you know that how many times we see quarterbacks get drafted to bad spots, bad situations. And they're never really given a chance.

Right. I mean, look at Josh Rosen. I don't know what kind of quarterback he could be, but did he ever really get a shot to play quarterback to develop? Well, how about my guy, Mac Jones?

Like, hey, that's the team I root for. I know Bill Belichick is one of the greatest, if not the greatest coach of all time. But you're dealing with Patricia, Joe Judge.

You have no number one weapon like that's a mess. You're not setting your your quarterback up to succeed in New England. Here's the thing.

They think they got the next time break. That they can just plug him in and he'll make the pieces work and no one's Tom Brady. Let's just be real on that. That's a mistake.

There's only there's only one of those guys. So, you know, I think you have to do things a little bit different. You have to start surrounding, you know, your investment with talent. And if anything, Zach, it gives you a better chance to evaluate what type of player Matt Jones could be. It's hard to evaluate when you get inside every other play or nobody's creating any separation. You want a young quarterback because look, let's think about this. When the quarterback comes from college to the pros, one of the biggest differences is your receivers are NFL players, too, and they're open all the time. When you get to the NFL, you have to anticipate you have to throw them open. You have to be able to look a look a safety off to create a little more space for your receiver. So it's a little bit different.

And you see, too, is picking up on that. He's throwing the ball and putting it in right spots and guys are covered. So it's an adjustment that they have to make. If you don't ever have anybody who creates separation, then it becomes a difficult job to enter into the league and be able to do the things that are expected of Leroy Hoard here with us. So how good could this Dolphins team be? It's one thing to be 3-0 to the first three weeks, but at the end of the regular season, how do you view them? We're just going to ignore who they beat, right? So you talk about, oh, they're 3-0, and we hear people talking about all the different ways that the other teams blew it.

But guess what? They beat New England, Baltimore, and the Bills. Yeah, you have to give the Dolphins credit.

You're full of excuses at this point and just BS if you're not giving them credit. I don't want to hear about the Heat. I don't want to hear about the Ravens choking. You could talk about that stuff, but you have to say, first and foremost, Miami won those games against two really great teams and one team that has an unbelievable coach, as you know.

Right. Now, I would say this about the future of the Dolphins. Here's the one thing that I think when you look at all the other teams who are leading this league that the Dolphins don't have, and that's a consistent run game. And when you look at all these other guys, either with their quarterback, either with running backs, they all have a very formidable run game, and it's a threat during any point of the game. And as the season goes on, you're going to have to rely on that a little bit more. And so I want to see them get to the point where they can rely on that run game, where they can create some type of offense to kind of get the run game going. I see them trying a lot of different things, and I think eventually they'll get there.

But for right now, they're winning games and just continue to be successful doing what you do. There's the truth, and then there's what a team says. With this whole Tua situation with the injury, was that a concussion that now they're just calling a back?

Like, what happened there? Well, here's the deal. The doctors that check to pass, right? Yeah, they have nothing to do with either team. They're independent doctors. So anything that the team would tell you if they're saying that's not a concussion, it came from those independent doctors, not from the Dolphins checking them out. So there's some legitimacy to that, that it was a back and not a concussion. If it were the team doctors, then maybe I'd raise an eyebrow, you know, but it wasn't. When you go into the concussion protocol, it is independent doctors independent of either team. Great point. Leroy Hoard here with us for tomorrow's game.

What do you look for? What do you think decides this game and who you're rolling with? Well, I think here's what I think. I think the dolphins will win for this reason. I don't know what the hell Cincinnati did in the offseason, but they ain't getting nobody to help Joe Burrow stay upright.

He's getting pummeled back there. And that's what the Dolphins do. They put pressure on you. They get after your quarterback.

Now, I will say this. If by some chance he finds a way to get some time, it could be a long day for the Dolphins because they have three receivers that could flat out get it done. And so from that standpoint, they also do a pretty decent job with Joe mixing up running the football. So I'd be interested to see if Cincinnati doesn't open the game trying to establish the run and then use more play action versus having Joe Burrow just drop back as far as the Dolphins.

If Tua is healthy enough, and I think it's still a question of if he's healthy, then just do what you've been doing. They've done an amazing job offensively of creating space for Tyree Hill and Jalen Waddell. And when you see those guys that wide open, I mean, everybody knows where they're going with it. How do you guys end up that open?

It has to be from the scheme that the offense is one exploiting certain areas of the field. And this isn't a bring us heavy lab. Is my BFF your co-host Brendan Tobin like losing his mind? Is he just delirious with the Dolphins full of excitement? I know he loves me. I'm his face. He is.

He loves me. I'm his favorite national radio host. You know what he's been doing for the last week?

Because we got this week off cash and receipts with the Jets. I'll tell you that he is on Twitter. He's going back to the beginning of the year, Twitter, last year, Twitter. I dig that.

Two years ago, Twitter. He is cashing those receipts as we speak. By the way, I saw you guys were at Heat Media Day since I love following you on Twitter. Jimmy Butler going to give you some hair.

I will. I don't need his hair. I just need to know where he bought it. He says that's real.

You think that's real? He's always had pretty long hair. Yeah, he has a great flow. But but I mean, like, I don't know what type of product that you could leave during the end of the season and come back two months later and your hair is down to your butt. That's good.

Like, I like to know what products he's getting because maybe I can just get a little dust up on top. Well, not that I give you guys programming advice, but if I'm Brendan Tobin, maybe instead of all the songs, maybe you should just start growing out the Jimmy Butler hair. And you know, he would be down. Hey, that ship has failed, man. I tried.

I tried to let it grow out. And the top of my head is like the old cowboy stadium. Wrap it up with Leroy horn. Hey, I've been watching a lot of Michigan football. My two best friends went there. I've been to a bunch of games. I love JJ McCarthy.

Corum is phenomenal. The defense better than what I've thought should be good test this weekend against Iowa because they really haven't played anybody Michigan. But where's your confidence at with the Wolverines? It's confident. I'm confident against Iowa because Iowa can't score.

Yeah. But I like the way that they run the ball as of late. They've really done with Corum, they've done a hell of a job establishing the run. And believe it or not, the running game is a quarterback's best friend. And people don't realize that that when you run the ball well, and the defense has to bring more people in the box to stop the run, it gives the quarterback room to throw the ball. But if you put yourself in passing situations, if you have a quarterback that you have questions about, that doesn't help. So I like the way they're establishing the run. And I will say this, that the challenge is a little greater against Iowa at a place they always struggle.

So let's not discredit that. I don't know what it is they always struggle playing offense. You know who you're starting to sound like?

You're starting to sound like Hickey. Because Hickey's already telling me about Penn State having to go to Iowa and whenever they go there. Like, they can't, I know they have a good defense, I know it's a tough place to play, but you said it, they have no offense. You should be able to outscore them.

Put up 21, you win the game. Hey, you want to hear something crazy? Yeah. Kerper Renz was my offensive line coach with Bill Belichick and Cunha. Ah, so that's why you have a lot of respect for him. Assuming you liked him. Dude, I tell you what, of all the coaches I've ever had, he's probably one of the best dudes as far as, he doesn't really yell, he'll have a conversation with you, just real straight forward.

And I would believe that that's probably one of the reasons why he's had that job so long is that he's really good at communicating and kind of working through things. So, they'll figure it out, but I just don't think at this point in time, that the way they're playing offensively, that they have a chance against anybody who puts up, can put up 20, 30 points. Because they're just not there yet. Last thing I'll ask you, what's your order by the way at the Cheesecake Factory? Because I hear next time I'm coming down to Florida, that's where we're breaking bread. First of all, I'm taking to Prime 112, brother. We don't go to Cheesecake Factory.

Oh, thank you. I was going to say maybe Carbone or Joe's, but if we go to Prime 112, I'm in. I take my special guess. It depends if Joe Stone Crab, if they got the good crab, we'll go there and crack some crab, or we'll go to Prime 112, we don't go to Cheesecake Factory. Because then, keep in mind, we can basically do a radio show because the way they seat you, you sit next to the five people ordering next to you.

Yeah, that's true. I need some room. I love it. Maybe we'll invite Brendan Tobin. You could be the peacemaker between the two of us. I tell you what, if you want to keep him quiet, eat a meal with him.

My man does work at a meal, let me tell you. Well, that sounds good to me. If you eat food, I somewhat like it, even though he ended up being right about the dolphins, so I can't even give a crap for that anymore. Anyway, good to talk to you as always, Leroy Hoard.

Thanks so much. Always, Zach. There he is, Leroy Hoard, joining us on the Zach Gelb show on CBS Sports Radio.

Hickey, before the season, what were your expectations one more time about the Dolphins?

8-9, 9-8, pretty good but not a playoff team. Which, I think we had this conversation last week or this was on Monday. I'm a little bit surprised, and I think I said this earlier in the week, that those were your thoughts because you were like the leader of Tua's a good quarterback. Tua is the guy, and you were jumping on board with this 2-0, were you just saying that so they wouldn't come after you? And then when push comes to shove, you had to make a prediction, you didn't put your money where your mouth is. No, I like 2-0 a lot. My question is more about the offensive line.

Can they block because they're not very good. The run game, which was one of the worst in the NFL last year, and the defense, I don't know how it was going to be with Brian Flores leaving. So it wasn't even skepticism with Tua. I always thought he would play well enough to where he would be the quarterback next year. It was just I didn't trust the pieces around him to be good enough in a tough AFC to get him to the playoffs.

So, little quick exercise. I will go through the schedule. I've not gone through the rest of the schedule right now before I make this statement.

But sometimes you say things and you look at the schedule and you go, ah, like, geez, it's not a tough schedule or it is a tough schedule and that alters the way you think. Right now, winner of the AFC East, you would say would be whom? The Bills.

I would still say it's Buffalo as well. Will the Miami Dolphins make the playoffs this year after their 3-0 start? I will say yes.

I will say yes as well. So we have both, after three games, quickly have jumped ships from no playoffs to playoffs for the Miami Dolphins. Now, they are 3-0. They have beat Baltimore, they have beat Buffalo, and they beat New England.

They'll obviously play New England and Buffalo one more time. This week at Cincinnati, short week, you think that's a win or a loss? Especially with Tua being hurt, I will say a loss. I think it's a loss, too, this week. So that would drop them to 3-1.

But Leroy is right. If that line continues to play the way they've had through the first three games, that defense is going to get after. So we both have them at 3-1. Then they go to the Jets. I'm going to say we both think they beat the Jets.

That would make them 4-1. Then they play the Vikings. I don't think the Vikings have the defense to slow down Tyreek Hill or Jalen Waddle. There's not many that could slow down Tyreek Hill or Jalen Waddle. This Vikings defense, yeah, they did a good job up against the Packers.

The Packers don't have any elite weapons in terms of wide receivers. I would think that's a win for the Miami Dolphins. And that game is at Hard Rock Stadium. So you wonder how the Vikings are going to deal with the Heat.

I would agree. So then we have them at 5-1. Pittsburgh, going win or loss? I'll go loss.

You will. Defense shows up. Kenny Pickett will be the starter, too. So you have them at 5-2 through the first seven weeks of the season.

Yes. I'm going to give them a win there. So I have them at 6-1. Then they play the Lions, week 8.

Where do you go on that one? Win for the Dolphins. So you have them at 6-2 and I'll give them a win as well. I have them starting the year 7-1 now. They play the Bears in week 9. That's a win.

Wow. This is not bad so far. So you then have them at 7-2 and I give them a win that's 8-1. Cleveland, week 10. No Deshaun Watson. In Miami, right?

Yes. I'll go win. So you will then have them at 8-2. You know how you gave the Steelers a win? This will be my I'll give them a win. Cleveland, the Jacoby Brissett revenge game.

You know, maybe an off night here or there. So we then have them at the same record through the first 10 games of the season, 8-2. Going to the bye. Coming out of the bye. And this is just good timing coming out of the bye because he's still on the suspension, right? Yeah, that's week 12. Deshaun Watson.

Oh, excuse me. Deshaun's in Cleveland. Duh. I had my moment there where I put Deshaun back on the Texans. So week 12 Texans. That's a win as well. Win? So we have them at 9-2. At San Francisco, week 13. Loss. Yeah, I'll give them a loss too. 9-3. At the Chargers, week 14.

I have that as a loss. I'll go loss too. So 9-4. Buffalo. In Buffalo, week 5. Loss. So 9-5. Week 16. Green Bay. I will give them a loss there. That puts them at 9-6. Where's that game? That is in Miami. I'll go win.

Okay. So that would then, what would you then have your record at? 10-5 then? 10-5.

And I have them at 9-6. Week 17 at New England. Win. Win.

And then the Jets win. So I have them as 11 wins. That's in the playoffs and you had what? 12 wins? 12. playoff team. 11-6, 12-5.

Very fair. I think we're both fair on our win-loss and yeah. Worst case, 11-6, you're a playoff team.

And maybe, right? They could beat San Francisco. They could beat the Chargers. They could beat the Bills.

They already have done so. They could beat the Packers. I think we're trying to be reasonable here and not just give them every game and you think Buffalo would split, right? That Chargers game is going to be massive. Because that's personal for Tua.

Because how many times does he have to hear, oh, you'd rather have Justin Herbert, you'd rather have Justin Herbert if you were the Dolphins? We'll see. Maybe Joey Bosa's back by that game. If not, still a big tough, you know, a tough loss of the Chargers. That's going to be a fascinating game. Chargers are starting to get that Ravens type of injury bug, it feels.

Not in as many, not in the frequency of the injury, but remember J.C. Jackson was hurt to start the year. Now Rashawn Slater's done for the year. Joey Bosa's going on an IR. Expect it to return at some point.

We just don't know when. I hope that's not a team. Keenen Allen missed last week. Austin Eckler, they haven't really been utilizing him the right way. That's a team that at one and two, I know it's early, and I'm not writing them off, I still think they'll make the playoffs. But I wonder how much the injuries are going to impact them. Also the quarterback Justin Herbert with the ribs injury and he's playing through that.

That's a team that you'll wonder if maybe they get the Raven kind of injury bug. But with that being said, any time that comes up, I go back to when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. The Eagles lost their quarterback, the Eagles lost their Hall of Fame left tackle, the Eagles lost one of their better special teams players. And they were also without their starting linebacker. And the Patriots that year were also, that team that was in the Super Bowl, were dealing with a ton of injuries too. Julian Edelman did not play in that season. Remember he tore his leg up in the preseason. So you go through a team like the Chargers and you may say, oh yeah injuries could derail their season. I'm going to use that as an excuse.

You got to have that next man up mentality. So I have them at 11 wins the Dolphins, you have them at 12. That's a heck of a year. And we said it going in the year. You need to make the playoffs. If you don't make the playoffs, it's a failure of a year.

And I heard what Kurt Warner said when he joined us. You want to see a little bit more consistency from this team and that's totally fair. But you look at the way that schedule is. That should be a team that bare minimum.

I know it picks up the last four weeks of the season. Bare minimum 10 wins. You should have 10-11 wins, you would think.

The Eagles and the Dolphins, they're similarities in the way these teams were built. Good defenses. You draft two earlier. Hertz was in the second round, but both of them were question marks. You then go get the wide receiver, Waddle and Smith.

Then you go get another great wide receiver in Brown and also Tyreek Hill. Coaches that were questionable when they hired. And now both off the 3-0 starts, not only that, we talk about that Dolphins schedule. The Eagles schedule? If the Eagles don't win 11 or 12 games, it's actually now like a bad season. Jaguars, Cardinals, Cowboys, bi-week Steelers, Texans, Commanders, Colts, Packers, Tennessee, New York, Bears, Dallas, Saints, and then the New York Giants again.

The only game where you're like, wow, it's not that there aren't going to be some tough games. The only game that's like, yo, we got a legit, legit opponent is Green Bay in Week 12. Eagles and Dolphins. Eagles will win the division. Dolphins, I'll still say, will be a wild card team. They won't win the AFC, so I'm still rolling with Buffalo. But that Dolphins team, it would be a disaster. All those receipts that they're taking to Miami right now would have to be returned.

They have to be given back if they don't make the playoffs this year. Take a break. When we do come on back on the Zach Gelb show on CBS Sports Radio, it is Take 5 Wednesday. As the dust settles from last week's games, it's time to look at which teams are rising and which are falling. Zach ranks his top five NFL and college football teams on this week's edition of Take 5, only on the Zach Gelb Show. All right, let's get to it. Top five college teams, top five NFL teams from what we've seen so far in the 2022 college and NFL seasons. I start off in college. I had the same five teams as last week.

The order, though, has just slightly changed. I thought about Kentucky. I thought about Tennessee.

I thought about Clemson after the performance of DJ Angolaile up against Wake Forest. But I know they just survived against Oregon State. It was the first time they actually had to have a close game this year.

To be able to win a game when you don't play your best and win a close game showed me something, and that's what good teams do. I still love the upside in the Pac-12. It's either going to be USC or Utah that are going to be coming out of the Pac-12. But I look at USC.

I just think the upside is there with Caleb Williams, with Addison at wide receiver. And you know, Lincoln Riley is a phenomenal head coach. I've dropped Michigan down one spot. For the last few weeks, I had Michigan in front of Ohio State. Ohio State blew out Wisconsin, Michigan. Finally, I don't even want to say played a good team because Maryland's not like this good team. But they stepped up the competition. Not that the game was ever in doubt.

Blake Corum is an absolute stud. But the game is a little bit closer for my liking, and Ohio State had a blowout even with Jackson Smith and Jigba not playing. So I flip-flopped Michigan and Ohio State. I put Michigan in at four, Ohio State three. I have kept Alabama in at number two. And then at number one, this team is the best team in college football. Stetson Bennett is playing out of his mind and picking up where he left off from the final few games of the year last year. Defense lost what, like eight or nine starters?

And still, they're dominant defensively. Georgia in at number one. So five USC, four Michigan, three Ohio State, two Alabama, and number one, I put the Bulldogs of Georgia.

Speak now, forever hold your peace out, Dick Hickey. Well, you mentioned the three teams I was going to bring up. Clemson, Tennessee, Kentucky.

So maybe just one quick reason each could not crack your top five this week is all three have impressive resumes up to this point. And I've been a big fan of what Tennessee has done. That was a heck of a win for them this past weekend.

And it was a rollercoaster ride of emotions as they beat Florida. And Hendon Hooker is playing great football right now. Anthony, you look at Kentucky, they beat Anthony Richardson in Florida as well.

And I like Will Levis. He looks like he could be a top ten pick in the draft. And who was the other team? You said Clemson? Clemson, yes, sir. Clemson, I just got to see more from DJ. Like, DJ balled out and that was great, but can he do that consistently?

Like, his numbers are already better this year than they were last year. But can the defense and offense get on the same page? For me, ultimately, I just think the offense at USC has a higher ceiling. And I need to see from a team like Clemson, do it again this week against NC State. And for Tennessee and Kentucky, it's just tough for me to put three teams from the SEC in. And I just trust more, not even entirely the offensive package, but I do think there's a little bit more sizzle with that connection of Williams to Addison.

So that's pretty much the difference there. Splitting hairs. If you would have told me any of those teams in at number five, I could not have debated it. I tried to move someone and I just could not move past USC. Alrighty, NFL.

This one is tough. Because I think Tampa's going to the Super Bowl out of the NFC. They're not in my top five right now.

Too many injuries on offense. Yeah, the Eagles and Dolphins is like, they are good, but how do you let, like, previous thoughts impact that? But the goal of this exercise, Ryan, is to do it in the moment right now, correct, Demundo? Yes, sir.

OK, that's how I'm going to operate this. Number five, Kansas City. Put the Chiefs in at five.

Huge game this weekend. I know they're coming off a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. I know that the Colts won the game, but Kansas City basically gave them every opportunity to go win that game.

I'm not going to freak out over one loss. They had two really strong efforts the first two weeks of the season up against the Cardinals and then coming back against the Chargers. They had Patrick Mahomes. They're in at number five.

Number four, they bounce back. This team should be 3-0, but they're not. Ravens, Lamar Jackson. Looks like the MVP right now of the NFL through the first three weeks of the season. Lamar up against the Pats. Four passing touchdowns.

Ran for 100-something yards and had a rushing touchdown, so five total touchdowns. Their defense is a little bit concerning. I know they've been dealing with some injuries, but defense can be a concern. I have the Ravens in at four. Buffalo, they were right there against the Dolphins. It was back and forth.

Game just didn't go their way. I still think the world of Buffalo and Josh Allen, I have them in at number three. Number two, I go with the Dolphins, and they've had some big-time wins. You start off the year a rookie coach, Mike McDaniel, beating Belichick, Harbaugh, and McDermott.

That gets your attention. But my number one team, the Eagles. The Eagles could have one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL.

I paused there for a second because you still really trust that Buffalo roster, but I don't see the flaws in the Eagles' roster. Miles Sanders, a solid running back. Jalen Hurston playing really good. They have one of the best offensive lines in football.

You have a great one-two punch. You have a lot of good one-two punches at wide receiver. But I love Devante Smith and then also A.J.

Brown. And defensively, they just sacked Carson Wentz nine times. You got Brandon Graham. You got Hassan Reddick. In the secondary, let's not forget about Fletcher Cox up front. But in the secondary, you got Darius Slay. You got James Bradberry.

Don't call me Blackberry. All right, Maurice? You got some serious talent on that defensive side of the ball, and Sirianni's done a good job. So my top five teams in the NFL, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Dolphins, and the Eagles. Chiefs, five Ravens, four Bills, three. Dolphins, two. Eagles, one. Hot take, Hickey. Speak now or forever.

Hold your peace. No love for the scrappy Jaguars. Blew the doors off the Chargers.

Two and one in the year. First place in the AFC South. Played the Colts. They beat the Colts.

I know. But they always beat the Colts. Death taxes, beating the Colts in Jacksonville. I give them credit, but I can't call them a top five team right now. Let's see what they do up against Philly this week.

All right, and I got one more for you. How about the Packers? Nice win on the road over Tampa Bay. Two and one in the year. Nice little bounce back after a rough week one loss.

Here's why I didn't put them in. I left that game more impressed with Tampa than Green Bay. Now, Green Bay has a good defense, but the reason I say that is Tampa was without Mike Evans, Julio Jones, and Chris Godwin. I know that the Packers have been dealing with injuries.

They don't have really any superstars at the wide receiver position. Brady and that offense played as bad as they could for really the entire game. And they still almost tied up that game at the end. I think Green Bay, everybody picked to go to Super Bowl at the NFC before the year. Green Bay is going to be a double digit win team. They're going to easily win that NFC North. They lost the Vikings early on. I just keep them outside, though, because I walked away from that game with Tampa saying, yeah, I'm kind of impressed with the effort, not like, oh, wow, Green Bay won the game. Green Bay needs to run the football more.

I know it's against Tampa. They have a great run defense. They need to run the football more with Darren Jones and A.J. Dylan to make up for what they don't have at wide receiver and take some of the load off Rogers' plate.

Let me ask you this. If you were doing this exercise, Hickey, for college football, would your order be Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and USC? Can I see if I can predict you well?

Sure. I think you would keep Georgia 1. I think you would move Ohio State up to 2, Alabama 3, Michigan 4, and I think you'd put Tennessee in at 5.

That's how I think you would operate it. I would probably do right now those top three in order, like you just mentioned. Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama. Okay.

I would probably put. Oh, you hate Michigan. Loser. Clemson 4, Tennessee 5, resume.

It's all about the resume. Oh, you hate Michigan. Who's Michigan beat?

You mentioned the only team that was actually a power five. Notre Dame and Wisconsin. Notre Dame stinks. They're ranked number five.

Say what you want, but they're a competent team. They play better teams at Michigan. And Wisconsin are both better than Maryland. The other three cupcakes Michigan played before that. Let's not act like Wisconsin is a sporting program right now. Two ranked wins.

Clemson is a nice one on the road over Wake Forest. And then your top five in the NFL, Michigan hater? I would have got to keep the Eagles off number one because Brandon Graham played for the Wolverines. Dolphins number one. Eagles two. I like the resume for the Dolphins.

Ravens and Bills. Impressive. Three.

I would have kept the Bills. Four. Chiefs five. Ravens. Ravens. Gotcha. Okay. So no Packers. No Packers. That's fine. This is that Gelb show on CBS Sports Radio. Well, come on back.

Is Deion Sanders going to be coaching in the power five next season? Roddy Jones, great ACC network analyst. Good to join us. Download the free Odyssey app today.
