Thank you. This is What's Right, What's Left with Pastor Ernie Sanders. Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left on this eighteenth day of December, 2024.
And boy, I'm going to tell you this year is moving on very, very quickly. And this is pledge week, pledge week, pledge week. And the numbers are right out of the chute. 888-281-1110. That's 888-281-1110.
Or 888-677-9673. Back in the phone booth, I have pastors mighty men back there. Well, they're mighty, mighty old men. We have, that's right, we have Eric and Lee back there and they're manning their posts. Then we have the fella in the glass cage, our producer. They call him stimulating style.
Do they now? Yeah. You always wonder what will be next.
Sometimes I surprise myself on that. And then here live in the studio, you heard the cackle. That's the famous cackle.
You have the studio marm. Little Lisa. Good evening, everyone. And sitting here with me, who's been my co-host for a while.
He's the stellar elder, Randolph Barkley. Good evening, good evening. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
Amen. And she's way out there. She's pretty, she's cute, she's witty. And she is my favorite medicine marm.
None other than Miss Wendy Wilson. Oh, good evening, pastor. Good to be with you. How are you, young lady? I'm well. I hope you are.
Yeah. I don't look it, but I'm well. Anyhow, we have a lot to get to, but you know how we got to get started tonight? I just preached a message, a funeral today, to an old friend of mine, Jim Berger. Jim Berger was a pro-life activist. He was a Christian patriot, and well, he fought the good fight.
He ran a good race, and then he graduated and went home to be with the Lord. So our most sincere condolences today to his wife, Virginia. I had a long talk with her, and they'd been married 54 years.
Wow. I got her by just a couple. We're going on our 57th year.
But she was telling me how it's kind of like she lost half of herself. And Virginia, our prayers are with you. I know exactly how you feel. So many of my friends remember all of my pastors that we had here just a couple years ago, a few years ago. I had eight associate pastors, and I have one now. And they've all gone home to be with the Lord, and they've all left their wives there. But the good thing about this is we know where they're at.
They're in a much better place, and they've run a good race. They finished their course, and now they're receiving their crowns out. And so anyhow, again, our best and most sincere condolences for the family and friends.
It was a really good service too, Wendy, because people came up and gave some really, well, I would say really heart-to-heart eulogies, you know, talking about their relationship with you. So he was honored. Alrighty. I have a question, though. I have a question.
Sure. So for the wicked, when they die, obviously they're not going to the pearly gates. What do you suppose the Bible says they experience? They get judged right away? Oh, yeah.
Yep. Again, all men wants to die, and then the judgment right there. So you end up absent from the body. You're either in heaven or hell. Okay, so let's say they're wicked, or they've done wickedness, and they don't appreciate the Lord. So after they're judged, where are they going? To hell. And where's hell? Hell is not a physical place, although everyone talks about hell being down, and I understand that because of the fire. But hell is a state of being of torment, you see.
In fact, see, that state of being is like, you know, being dead is a state of being. Hell and death are going to be thrown into a physical place called the lake of fire, which is physical with fire and brimstone, okay, at the end of the Millennial Kingdom. So before the Millennial Kingdom, where are these wicked people going? They're going to be put into a place of their bodies that go back to the ground. They will be in a place of torment, okay, or I should say a state of torment. Most people think that, well, this state of torment can be found, you know, down below the ground, and maybe very well could be, but the place hell itself is a state of being, a state of being, okay?
And like, I'm in that state of being old. Okay, so they're in this status, if you will, of torment until they're finally judged for the lake of fire? To the white throne judgment. Then at the white throne judgment, they get cast into the lake of fire. Okay, so the Bible describes, you know, the just going, dying and going and getting judged, I guess immediately too, and they can get their crowns. So what is that judgment called? Well, you'll find that in Revelation chapter 4, okay, that's called the Bema Seat, the Bema Seat judgment. Now the judgment is not with what punishment you'll get, but what rewards you'll receive or what rewards you've lost.
It's a Bema Seat judgment for the saints. Now at this Bema Seat judgment, if you in your lifetime have, you know, toed the line, tried to do the right thing, and people have been not very nice to you, does God use that, you know, wicked and good servant as a rule of thumb? And then the wicked servant that did unrighteously to you, does God take any rewards they have and give them to you?
I don't know if he does that. You know, the Bible doesn't talk about taking their rewards and giving them to you, but it does talk about your rewards for what you've suffered for the cause of Christ. In other words, whatever, if people have been wicked to you or mean to you for you being, for the cause of Christ, for you being godly and obedient to the Lord, then just like, for example, these judges, that wicked Merrick Garland, wicked, wicked Merrick Garland and Joe Biden, going after these pro-lifers, putting these pro-lifers in prison, they're going to regret that.
I mean, they're really going to regret that big time. There's a special hot place in hell for people like those that run Planned Parenthood and so on and so forth. Okay. I know there's been parables where the, you know, the wicked servant, the Lord takes their talents and gives them to the good servant kind of thing. Well, yeah, he gives you that where God does that. He takes away from those wicked, the rewards they could have had, okay? Right. The rewards they could have had and gives it to, of course, the rewards of people that we have are, they're earned by being obedient to the Lord. Right.
Those are the crowns, so. Well, that'd be a blessed day, won't it? Well, yeah, yeah.
You know, it actually, it happens all the time. We see all the saints there today are there in heaven. They're waiting for the time when the Lord brings them back, and they get their glorified bodies. Right. You find that, you know, so that's what they're waiting for. And you'll be out of business, Wendy. Oh, that's okay.
I'm good for that. Well, guess what? I'll be out of business too, okay? Uh-huh. And so, yep, won't need any radio in heaven, will we?
No, no. The Lord is our broadcaster at that point. Amen. This is Pledge Week, and I do want to say that I want to take my hat off to you. I happen to know you had a tough year, like we had a very, very tough year, thanks to Bidenomics.
Right. It was one of the toughest we've had, and yet here, just your tithes that have come in, your pledges, I should say, too, are, well, right now, you're the first pledge on the board for tonight, $1,486. Those were the combination of two pledges you made. And so, you didn't, even though times were tough, now that was a biblical principle, too, Wendy. Did you know that the widow, they gave all that she had.
Right. You know, when you give, you know, out of your abundance, it's when you give out of your need, okay, that really counts. Yeah, I've kind of figured that out over the last 20 years, that, you know, God deals with it, and you don't have to worry about it. I know it, and let me tell you, God, you can always count on him. God keeps very, very, very good records. And I'm sure he does. And he will always, always, he's the only one in this entire existence that we can always count on to honor commitments made to him. He will always honor them. He'll never forget.
Right. And with that, we're going to pick it up. My co-host took off, I think, when he gets back, we're going to pick it up with our scripture here today. But meanwhile, I've got to tell folks here, the lines are open, and I'd like to have some matches for Wendy, $1,486. Can I have a match?
Can the very first caller call in Match Wendy at 888-281-1110 or 888-677-9673? We're going to start tonight in Matthew chapter 2. Let's go by verse by verse. So here, Randolph, would you like to, let's take it verse by verse.
So go ahead and start with verse 1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem. Well, I've been to Bethlehem, and in that days, in this days that he was talking about, it wasn't a very large city at all. It was very small.
Didn't have many people there at all. It was called the City of Bread. And some very famous people came from there, though. King David and Rachel, the mother of Benjamin. And so here, he goes on to say, read verse 2. Saying, where is he that is born king of the Jews?
For we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him. Now these are three magi, or they were called the three kings. We don't really know for sure if there were three of them. The only reason that we say three kings is because there was three gifts that they brought. And you'll get a picture, and like you see, you have the pictures of the nativity scene, and you've got these three kings there. Jesus is in the crib. That's an artist's perception, and unfortunately the artist probably wasn't very biblically literate.
Because that's not a very good perception at all. First of all, when kings travel, do they travel alone or do they have an entourage? Absolutely, they have an entourage. There could have been a hundred people with them. They always have guards, first of all, and then servants.
And so you've got a picture of this here, and they've come. And when Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all of Jerusalem with him. Now, he was a Herodian. Herod was a half-breed Jew, and that man was evil. Don't you say half-breed? Was he like half-Jew, half-Roman?
Could have been Greek, could have been Roman. They weren't considered to be all Jews. And so he was appointed king of the Jews by Caesar. And here, and when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
Now think about this for a minute, right? Here's Herod, and he's demanding, he wants to know, because he knows that Scripture will tell you. He knows that Christ is coming. He's the Messiah. And yet, he's going to try to kill the Messiah. How smart is that? He doesn't have a real understanding of who God is.
His Word can't return voice. Well, again, but listen, I'm going to tell you, remember when they had the Wall Street protest? They were carrying placard signs that were saying, when Christ returns, we'll kill him again. So that mind is still here. And the Democratic Communist Party, it's full of the leadership.
That's the mindset. Yeah, the anti-Christ spirit. You just had Nancy Pelosi. Here's how justice works. You know, the Bible tells you, you don't take the Lord's table, you don't take communion with unprofessed sin. So she was denied by her bishop to take communion because there was sin. She was denied because of being pro-death and that. And remember how when Donald Trump gave his State of the Union address, she stepped up behind him, tore up his address, just tore it up there, rebellion.
Now the Bible says that that rebellion is the same as witchcraft, the same as witchcraft. And so that rebellious old woman, she went out and she was bragging to people that she was taking communion and she didn't care who the bishop or anybody else says. She said she wouldn't even care what God says, right? I mean, this is Nancy, a real rebellious old lady. She says that and then what happens right away?
She falls and breaks her hip, boom, right away. Okay, what does the Bible say? It says that when you do that, okay, you take communion with unconfessed sin, you'll end up either sick or dead.
That's right, that's right. And so here, and when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, in Bethlehem of Judea, it is written by the prophet, Micah 5, 2 in fact, right? And when thou, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah, for out of thee shall come a governor that shall rule my people Israel.
Then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men and inquired of them diligently, what time the star appeared, and he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child, and when you have found him, bring me word again that I may come and worship him also. I mean, I could see Joe Biden doing something like that. I really could because he is so pro-abortion, so much in favor of killing babies. He sent Mary Garland and Chris Ray out against all the pro-lifers out there.
And I have friends right now that are spending years in prison because of Joe Biden. And so here, when they had heard the king, they departed, and lo, the star which they saw in the east went before them till it came and stood over where the young child was. Here's where we get into artists' perception of things, you know. First of all, when you have, for example, the Lord's Table, you see most now, in our church, we have an actual portrait of reality, and it would show you what it would really look like, okay.
Most of these portraits that you have, Wendy, have the Lord's Table. You have all sitting there, you have the men with long hair, and you have women sitting at the table with the men, okay. I've got to pause for a minute and say, okay, T pledges 25, L pledges 25, B and G pledges 400.
Thank you, T, L, and B and G, thank you very much. Okay, all right, where's the music? Where's the applause? You didn't hear it coming through? No, it wasn't coming through.
I heard it on my side. Oh, did you? Yeah. You want some more?
Yeah. Okay, there you go, that's better. Pastor, in this passage of Scripture, what strikes me and what stands out is that you had two groups of people that were seeking out to worship Christ, but one was a true form and one was a false form, and that false form was, of course, Herod, and it reminds me of the scripture that says this people with their lips, they do honor me or praise me, but their heart is far from me. And here you have also the wise men who their motive it was to truly come and to worship him and to from there, the treasures that they had to give unto the Lord. And so it just, again, reminds me that everybody that says that they're worshipping God or wants to worship God, that's not always true. Well, today especially, look, remember, Jesus said many are called, but few are chosen.
Many will come, but few will enter. Today you have the world, the National Council of Churches out there. These are apostate of you.
You have, first of all, remember Christ made us in his image. What they're trying to do is trying to make God over in their image. They have God as being pro-abortion. They have God as being pro-homosexual. They even have their own bibles.
That's St. John's Church there in New York. You had upon a cross, you go in there, you had Christa, a naked woman, upon the cross instead of Christ. The feminists have their own bibles, which are completely perverting the Word of God. The Sodomites have their own perversions of Scripture, which pervert the Word of God. You can go ahead and say something.
I see style in there, man. I was adjusting my mic, but I guess I'll say I know it's not even so much, while these people in these apostate churches do exist with these perversions and the alterations of the Bible that you have plenty of that exists that add to the Bible and do just as bad. Oh, absolutely. Look, one thing we know that God is on the throne.
He's in complete control. As the saying goes, things aren't falling apart. They're falling right into place.
Things are happening exactly the way God's Word and the Bible said they would. I'm going to have to stop right here and pick it up right here tomorrow because we're up against the heartbreak. Oh, I've got to get the number out very quick. 888-281-1110, 888-677-9673. I'm looking for people to match Wendy's, 1,486. Or match me, listen, I pledged 1,000 twice this week, so match that.
Or you pledged 500 yesterday. So anyhow, folks, this is what we have tonight and two other nights this week to raise enough money to stay on the station you're on without and bring it to you. Listen, we've got some exciting things coming up this year, and we have to be ready for them.
We'll be right back. Shepherds watch our Jesus Christ, the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing, His taste to bring Him naught, the Babe, the Son of Mary. So bring Him incense, gold and gold, Come rich and poor to owe Him. The King of kings salvation brings, Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
This, this is Christ, the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing, His taste to bring Him naught, the Babe, the Son of Mary. All righty, we are back, and we have with us Miss Wendy Wilson before we get into your topic tonight, Wendy, which is cholesterol. Before we do that, I got a question for you. A very smart lady like yourself told me that Mullen could probably help in lung conditions.
What do you know about Mullen? Well, I mean, Mullen, I like to use her glands personally. Lung conditions, I like to use time. Time seems to have this natural germicide that usually can kick a lot of lung infections.
Hmm, all righty. Well, I'm not talking about, I'm talking about something like, well, situations where your lung capacity has been cut down. Okay, diminished? Yeah, so then I, for that reason, then I may switch to Lobelia. It helps dilate the bronchial for easier breathing. Hmm, would you do me a favor?
Well, I like Lobelia in the fact that if you have fluid retention or edema, there's a natural element of Lobelia that helps reduce those fluids you shouldn't have. All right, could you text me that, you know, after the program tonight before you go to bed, could you text me that, and then if I don't have it, I want to order it right away. Well, we have it in a single herb formula called relaxation formula, so if you have like a pandemic kit or an ammonia kit, you would have it. Yeah, I do. In fact, I got it. Okay, so just look for relaxation formula. That's the one you want.
It's a Lobelia liquid. All right, it's already in there. Okay.
Yep. All right, I thought that was for relaxation. Well, a lot of people use it. Lobelia is kind of amazing because it has 16 alkaloids, and the body will tap into the alkaloid it needs. So if you have like muscle tension, it works like an antispasmodic, and a lot of people like it because it helps them relax and go to sleep. It has a natural element, an alkaloid that will work like a diuretic if you have too much fluid you shouldn't have. It'll work like a decongestant if you have mucus in the system, so it works like that.
It has a natural emetic built into it, so if you tip too much, it's almost impossible to overdose on this because it'll work like syrup or Ipecac, and you would just simply vomit, throw up. So it's quite an amazing plant if you use it properly. Well, that's what I want to do.
I want to use it properly. Well, we try to educate people how to do that. You know what, you've educated me on two. We had those shingles kits. I had those on standby, not for me, but for two ladies that I know. With that, you have to use it as soon as you get the shingles. You can't wait until you've had them for a week or so. But what happens is the last two, we used them, and I'm out of those.
I gave them to the two ladies. As soon as they got shingles, and it works. It works very good. Yeah, one of the formulas in that kit helps put, this is scientifically proven by the way, a barberry bark will suppress the zoster virus and put it into a dormant state, because if you come into contact with chickenpox as a kid, this virus will park itself on your ganglion nerve sheath, and then later when you're older, it'll erupt as shingles.
So the barberry kind of keeps it from erupting, so I like it. Well, if you can remember, send me that kit too, and I'll... Hey, shingles, okay. Yeah, and I'll go, but text me what you just talked about on the melon and the other stuff, because I want to go and check out and make sure I have it, because I know I have the kits. Yeah, make sure you have some, yeah. All right, I better let you get going with your cholesterol, huh? Well, okay, because we've come into some new research or additional research, and science is finding out the cholesterol medications often increase the risk of cancer, pastor. What kind of medications would you have for cholesterol? Are those what they call, what do you call those things, statins? That would be your prescription line, yeah, the statin line, uh-huh.
Okay, is there any... Yeah, we don't use statins. I mean, I think a really good description of what happens metabolically to anybody that takes cholesterol or cardiomed is described in a book written by a chemist who used to work for the drug companies. His name is Shane Ellison, and he wrote this book, Over the Counter Natural Cures. So he's left the pharmaceutical industry. Now he teaches people how to improve wellness with natural means, and I interviewed him on my show, Herb Talk, a while back when his book came out.
A great book in very basic, easy-to-understand terms. He'll tell you, if you're taking this drug, this is what's happening to you. And he and I agreed that if you're taking a lot of these cardiovascular-type medications over a 10- or 15-year period, what happens to you, it moves you into a congestive heart failure, is what it does. Well, alrighty. 888-281-1110 or 888-677-9673.
The lines are open, folks. We really need to hear from you so that you can continue to hear from us. Right. Absolutely. Always good to support you, Pastor. Well, I really appreciate that you've come the way you have.
I know you had a tough year, and we did, too. Everybody felt Bidenomics, didn't we? Yeah, the Bidenomics is what it's about. People have less money to work with.
That's how it goes. They keep telling us, no. Joe Biden says, we just don't understand. The economy is really good, okay? Well, I mean, this is why Trump was elected. I mean, they're not in reality at all.
No. I mean, you're absolutely right. And that's because of that, too. There's some good news on that front that here, Kroger's has no longer gone wild. They've reversed their position.
They no longer sell the kill pill. And so we praise the good Lord for that. You're right. The left is, well, the left, the Bible says they're fools, okay? They're fools. Yeah, I mean, if you look at some of these big industries, Target and some other ones, when they went woke, you know, they lost revenue. Target is being sued by its shareholders for huge amounts of money, and that board of directors, they had to have been just absolutely lunatics to do what they did, okay?
Well, they are, because, I mean, I would sometimes shop at Target, but when they did, I think it was, what, 2010? I could be wrong on the year, but when they went and allowed, you know, men to be in women's dressing rooms and in the bathroom and stuff, I quit shopping there. Yeah, we picketed. We had protested against one because they were doing that. In fact, they had some of these Democrats got caught going in there with their phones and taking pictures of the little girls in their bathroom. Yeah, it's just really, you know, I mean, you gotta vote with your wallet sometimes, you know?
Yeah. I mean, you just wonder, you know, how can people be this way? How can people be this way?
You know, it's, you wonder how, you know, Timmy wanted to put, you know, did they put tampon machines in boys' bathrooms? Where's their head on this thing, okay? It's what the Bible said, you know, they would be delusional, and that's exactly what you have. They don't have a sense of right or wrong, up or down, you know, they're totally lost people, you know, and it's sad when people like that get in positions of power because they totally destroy a nation.
Well, you're right, you just described Isaiah chapter 5, where it talks about those that put good for evil and evil for good and boys for mercy. That's exactly what happens, you know, and it's frustrating for, you know, people that know the difference and, you know, it's very frustrating, but I guess we should talk about this study. Yeah, we do. Very quickly, I gotta say, Betty in Michigan pledges 100. Thank you, Betty. 888-281-1110 or 888-677-9673.
Go ahead, Wendy. Okay, so this was a study in April 2008, it's the Natural Library Medicine Center for Biotechnology, and this is how old this information is that science and medicine has known about. They did a study on statin drugs, and they found that it increases the risk of cancer. This is a quote from the study, in conclusion, there's ample evidence, ample, pastor, ample evidence that statins promote cancer in certain segments of the population, end of quote. So the research actually found that statins should not be taken by people who have, and here's the list, people who have a family history of cancer, have vascular risk factors, or are older seniors. How many seniors are on statin drugs, pastor?
From what I understand, a whole lot on them. Yeah, so also this was from the study that said, indeed, analysis of large randomized statin trials demonstrate a highly significant inverse association between achieved low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and cancer. So they're finding that when they mess with the cholesterol levels, it's going to increase your risk of swinging too far one way and getting cancer. So apparently, your statin drugs elevate the liver enzyme, which indicates drug toxicity and is negatively impacting your liver, and then the statin drugs seem to create a specific type of cancer affecting these areas.
The colorectal area, pancreas, skin, breast, endometrial or ovarian, as well as liver, bladder, and blood. Now, there was a Japan study, pastor, in 2024, and Japan released their study. It was a long-term study of cholesterol medication, and the increases of these medications increase the risk of cancer. So this was a large study of over 67,000 participants from the Japan Public Health Center. It's also based as a prospective study, that's what they called it. And patients in the study were followed every five years, and within 10 years, cancer was present.
So the definition of long-term in medicine is usually a year or more, so this was 10 years. So the study documented that over 8,000 participants, over 5,000 were men and over 3,000 were women, were documented as cancer incident cases. So just under 13% of the patients developed cancer while on their anti-cholesterol medications. Now, 13% is high in study statistics, and, you know, if an herb did that, pastor, it would be jerked off the market in a skinny minute.
Well, let me ask you this, though, okay. What herbs, what natural herbs can we use that will do the same thing or better than the statins for anti-cholesterol? Well, the interesting thing is medicine has broken out cholesterol and bad and good cholesterol. Well, the body uses cholesterol. And can you tell me what organ of the body uses the most cholesterol, pastor?
No, I couldn't do that. I think it's the brain. Yes, you are so correct. It is the brain uses the most cholesterol, so a lot of people on cholesterol drugs have memory issues. They have short-term memory issues. Also, can you tell me, prior to 1970, what was the normal cholesterol blood level according to medicine?
No, but I bet you Randall can go ahead. I can't tell you, but I know that the stats that they have right now, they are off, they're way off. Yes, so prior to the drugs hitting the market in the 1970s, the normal cholesterol level was 300, so they lowered to 200 when the drugs came out. Now, if you go to the Mediterranean area, they do cultural studies every two years, and the people in the Mediterranean area don't have cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or cancer. And it's all about how they eat.
Of course, they eat a lot of fish, but they do eat pork and beef and chicken. But it's all about how they're eating, and they use a lot of olive oil. That's pretty much the primary oil that they have. And olive oil would be considered by science as a fatty oil, and these people drink it by the glass, and they don't have a problem with cholesterol. I've heard so much on olive oil that you have to be very careful that there's only certain kinds that are really good for you, and the others are not.
Yeah, you're right. The problem is a lot of these imported oils, let's say from Italy for instance, they kind of cheat a little bit and cut the oil with other oils. So you have to be really discerning about olive oil. One of the really fabulous companies in California that makes really great oils is called Apollo. They make a great olive oil. They import olives from all over the world, and olives, depending on the region that they're grown, will have a different zester flavor to them. Some will be more mild, some will be zesty, and some will be spicy, and they have all these different varieties of olive oils. What they do is they cold press these oils in a vacuum, because when you expose oil to oxygen, it starts a rancidity process. So you get oil that is so flavorful.
I mean, I couldn't believe it. You can get a sample kit from them, and I was in heaven. So this is Apollo olive oil.
We don't get any money from them at all, but they just make a really fabulous oil if you want to look them up online, Apollo. Already. Yeah, but the United States, 92 million people faster in the US are on the statin drugs, these cholesterol drugs, which could mean about 12 million Americans are positioned to get cancer after a decade on drug, after 10 years on this drug. Now, there's some previous reports.
This is August 2024. The Australian people showed anti-cholesterol drugs increase the risk of osteoporosis by 33%. So that's how bad these drugs are, and they also affect your muscles. So a lot of people, when they're on these statin drugs, these cholesterol drugs, they find that they have aches and pains and their muscles hurt and that kind of thing.
Here's a quote from the University of Vienna medical unit called the Complexity Science Hub. They said, this is the first study to prove a connection between a high dose of statins and osteoporosis. The results of our study confirm that those of the previous analysis of the Australian population in 2019, this also demonstrates that the animal study previously showing that there's a cause and effect relationship. So they've known, science has known for a long time during their animal studies that these statin drugs could put you at risk of bone loss. They also go on to say, based on this data that we analyzed, people taking high doses of statins are four to six times more likely to develop osteoporosis and the results were consistent with previous data from a 2019 analysis. So it wasn't just one study and also wellness resources said this, these statin drugs can lead to a number of side effects in muscles, including muscle fiber breakdown. However, the mechanisms of the muscle injury on the statins are poorly understood. Now that was one thing that Shane Ellison pointed out when we had a talk about these drugs. He says people that take these statin drugs, he says they feel, if you ask them, they feel like they're falling apart.
They just don't feel well. He says on a metabolic level, he says what's happening is it's breaking down your cells. So on a metabolic level, that's basically what's happening. Your cells are falling apart.
Unbelievable. You kind of need cells, pastor. There's probably hundreds of people listening to us tonight that are listening and saying that's exactly how I feel. All of those symptoms and I'm taking this and yet they know that so many people, they trust in their doctors and a lot of times the doctors mean well but aren't doing well. Well, I mean, there's so much research out there and there's so many hours in the day.
A lot of these healthcare professionals mean well but they're not getting all the information to get the big picture. Wellness resources also reported the new science is showing that as soon as an atrogen-1 gene is activated by the statin drugs, it starts destroying your muscle. So this means, they said that even mild aches and pains while you're taking a statin drug is a sign that muscles are being destroyed.
Hey, Wendy, quick question. I had a situation and the doctors wanted me to take those statin drugs but I did some research and I was like, no way. And one of the things that I had found out was as we were talking about the cholesterol, how it's almost like a barrier for the brain that when they reduce that cholesterol that this is one of the things that leads to Alzheimer's. Do you have anything in your research that? Yeah, they're finding that out too.
There's some sort of unassociated, they call it an unassociated link and I get a lot of emails and calls about stuff like that. People saying their parents are showing signs of Alzheimer's. First thing I ask them is, what's their drug regimen? You should research them to see if they don't have a drug-induced Alzheimer's.
And a lot of times they'll come back a couple of weeks later saying, yeah, one of the drugs that my mom was on and the doctor took them off and the Alzheimer's symptoms went away. Alrighty, I got to break in here and tell you what I want to say. Betty in Ohio pledges $750. Thank you, $750. And Marilyn in California pledges $100. And Andrea in Ohio pledges $50. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Alright, that's great. That olive oil, just so Randall knows what he can get me for Christmas here, that's Apollo? So your olive oils, the reason they're so popular through a lot of literature and even your Bible is because olive oil resists breaking down under high temperature. So if you're cooking with it, that's the oil I would use. But like we were pointing out earlier, your body uses natural cholesterol, actually manufactures cholesterol, and it's necessary for your metabolic function.
So if you're removing it, it can cause a lot of malfunction in different areas. Here's some of the benefits of natural cholesterol your body is making. It maintains your cell membranes and the structures of those membranes, and it helps cells to maintain normal body temperature.
Also, it helps make hormones critical for your metabolic function, such as testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen. Also, the liver uses cholesterol to make bile for your digestion of all the fats you're eating. And cholesterol insulates your nerve endings, which is real important if you have peripheral neuropathy out there. Also, the body uses cholesterol to make natural vitamin D from your sunlight when you're outside. So cholesterol is kind of necessary. Your brain is the largest organ that uses the most cholesterol, so we kind of need that.
But if you want some empowering protection, here's some information. Dr. Daniel Steenberg, University of California School of Medicine, he advises his patients to eat more foods with antioxidants to help lower naturally any of the bad cholesterol they have, the LDL, by about 70%, which would pretty much eliminate the need for a prescription, wouldn't it, Pastor? Yeah, Dr. James Anderson, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, advises his patients to eat cooked, dried beans daily to lower the LDL bad cholesterol by 20%. He said all kinds of beans seem to work, and they boost the healthy HDL cholesterol. Now, over 25 studies on oats also have lowering cholesterol by 16% reduction of the bad LDL cholesterol. And one really great herb used for balancing your cholesterol is garlic. Over 20 studies have showed that eating three cloves of the garlic a day reduces the bad LDL cholesterol by 15 to 30%.
Whoa. And also eating nuts also seemed to be helpful, also especially almonds. Dr. Jean Spiller advises patients to eat 3.5 ounces of almonds per day over a 30-day period to reduce their LDL or bad cholesterol by 22 points.
And avocados help drop LDL bad cholesterol by 10% according to an Australian cardiologist, Wesley, at the Wesley Medical School Center in Queensland. So you have some natural solutions for these issues. Yeah, but I'm running out of time, and I've got to tell you, folks, thepowerherbs.com, thepowerherbs.com, her number is 866-229-3663, 866-229-3663. You've got to get Wendy's catalog, because she's going to dump me again here and take off. She's not going to stay past me.
But I have to give her, and you really got to get this catalog. I use all her herbs, and they work. They really do work. And so they're good.
Yeah, we have a whole cardio section so people can see, also on our website, that they're looking for things that help them with the cardio area. There are herbs. God made herbs for that.
