Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right What's Left on this 19th day of February 2023.
And indeed, this is the voice of the Christian Resistance. And tonight, the title of our message is pride, anxiety and worldly care. And we're going to take a look at a lot of people. There's a lot of anxiousness and I've been hearing from people. People are calling me from all over the country wanting to know what's happening here in Ohio because of what is taking place there with the derailment of the train. And so, and there's kind of a mindset. There's a lot of people think all of Ohio is about ready to go down the drain. It's not quite that bad, but again, it's not good there in East Palestine. So, anyhow, but there's a lot, a lot of anxiety amongst the people out there.
I'm talking to them all the time. You know, here with the train derailment, they're afraid of the air is bad, the water is bad, the animals are dying. But then, at the same time, last year, 100,000 people, young people died of drug overdose. That's right, folks.
100,000 people, young people in this country. You've got what's happening on the border, and we're going to look at that, but there's some very good news in all of this, and that's where we're going to start tonight. In John chapter 16, verse 29, His disciples said unto Him, lo now, speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. Now we are sure that thou knowest all things, and it is not that any man should ask thee, but by this we believe that thou comest forth from God. Now, here, when they said this, they understood that Jesus was by no means any ordinary man. He was telling them things like when He told Peter, Peter, go on down, cast a line into the sea, and you'll catch a fish, and in that fish's mouth, Peter, you'll find a tithe for you and me in the temple, a temple tithe. Now, what are the odds of Peter going down there and catching the exact fish, and what are the odds of that fish having the coins in it, and what were the odds of the Lord Jesus knowing exactly what Peter was going to ask Him? See, so when Jesus went to the well in the Samaritan, when we came to the well, and they got into a conversation, and Jesus told her, you've been sleeping with five different men, and she ran immediately and said, here's a man here that knows everything I've ever done, okay?
The Lord Jesus, when He told when He told the disciples on the week before He entered into Jerusalem, He told them to go there at a certain place, and you'll find a colt tithe, and when someone says something to them, tell them who you are, and they'll show you where to go, okay? All these things the Lord Jesus knew, that things that a normal man could not know. Now, they understood that He knew the past, and He knows the future, but they didn't realize that, in fact, He literally was the past and literally is the future. And so here, as He says, now behold, and Jesus answered and says, do you now believe? So He's asking them, do you now believe?
Well, how big was their faith at this time? Well, He said, behold, the hour cometh, yes, is now come that you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave Me alone, yet I am not alone because the Father is with Me. And so now He's telling them what is going to happen. Remember how Peter and the others says, we will never leave you, we will never betray you, and the Lord Jesus told Peter, Peter, before the cock crows thrice, you'll deny Me twice.
I will never do such a thing. Yeah, you will, Peter. And so the Lord knew exactly He, not only, like I said, knew the future, He was the future.
He was the future. And so then, now here's the good news. He says, these things I have spoken unto you, that you might, that in Me you might have peace.
In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Well, He's telling this because He's about to be arrested. And of course, when He was arrested, He was referred to by the devil's crowd as a law-breaker, a law-breaker. He did not, He was not obedient to, didn't obey the law. The Sanhedrin made false accusations. And I remember when I was arrested, out preaching in front of those bloody abortion mills on several occasions, I was out there saving babies. And I considered it an honor, I considered it an honor to be found worthy to be arrested for the Lord's sake. Yet, there were, there were prissy preachers.
I actually had one who had on the radio said that as long as abortion was legal, you would never catch him out protesting abortion. In other words, what he was saying is he's going to obey man rather than God. And of course, what they do is they take Romans 13 and they twist and they spin it, okay. But the Lord Jesus made it clear here, the good news was, hey, you know what? I'm, I'm the beginning and I'm the end. And guess what? It's gonna, it's gonna end well. You're going to have tribulation in this life, but then I'm going to make it okay.
Now here, I had a friend used to work with me. He was an Orthodox Jewish man, Bob, and Bob had this way of talking. He used to say, so what's to worry?
This too will pass. You know, whenever, uh, whenever we had problems and things would come up and things didn't look good, he, he would always have come up with it, you know, don't worry about it. Okay. And so we need to think about that because in fact, I was telling a fellow today, he disagreed with me. He didn't quite understand how, uh, when I said there's no profit in worrying, there's no profit. And he says, yes, there is profit if you're in business. Okay. But no, that's, there's a difference between worrying and about being concerned.
Okay. Uh, you have to give it to the Lord. Once you give it to the Lord, see, it's a matter of trust. And this is what John didn't understand when you give it.
I didn't have time to explain it to him because there was too many things going on. But, uh, when you, when you give it to the Lord, you trust the Lord for God is completely, totally capable of handling any and all of your problems. See, and so this is when it comes to worrying has never done any good.
It will never do you any good. And it can always do you a lot of harm, uh, worry and can literally make you sick. And so today, you know, we, we have things to be concerned about and I'm going to go over to Romans chapter one and the Romans chapter one, uh, read verses 28 through 32. We read this. And even as he did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things, which were not convenient, meaning proper.
Now, boy, I'm going to tell you, this has an application in, in, in the world today, and especially in America, like it's never had before. And here he goes on to say, being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents without understanding covenant breakers and without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful, who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death and not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. So here now, the point he's making is one, they hated God, they, they were, they hated God, they were inventors of evil things, evil things like AI, for example, today, artificial intelligence is, it's going to be used and it's being used against the church. Well, I'm going to tell you, and very, very, very, very evil things, the COVID jab, the COVID jab killed so many people, made others sick and wounded others, crippled others.
The, the climate hoax, the climate hoax, folks, this is a scam and is another scam put out by the very, very elite wealthy, another way of, of stealing your money from you. This, this whole trans thing, this trans hope, turning boys into girls and girls, girls and girls into boys and, um, boys and girls and other things, folks, again, these are evil things. These are things here that when the Bible says, uh, inventors of evil, of evil things, okay.
Uh, fentanyl, we, we mentioned earlier about a hundred, a thousand young people died last year, a hundred thousand died last year of fentanyl and other drugs in this country. It's a wicked evil thing. Organ harvesting, unbelievable, especially when it's done amongst the babies.
Wicked to the core. Human trafficking, adrenochrome, adrenochrome, the chemical they take out of children's blood when children are scared and frightened. And for the very, very wealthy, for the very wealthy, this, this is evil, it's evil. And, you know, you have a lot of those in the elite democratic party.
The party heads, the really wealthy ones, the globalist, how they boast about getting their drug home. In election fraud, we have election fraud, like it's unbelievable. Uh, it's, um, you know, if somebody tells me, well, they don't, they, they didn't believe that, where's the proof.
I don't believe in election. They've lost all credibility with me. Bret bear lost all credibility with me. Uh, when, when I heard him say on that night, 20, 20, where's the evidence when the evidence was everywhere, when we had stacks and stacks and stacks and piles of when on January 6th, 2021, you had 70 something congressmen standing there before Mike Pence with all kinds of evidence. And he wouldn't look at it, would not look at it.
Would not look at it. Okay. And so Neil Kabuto, Mike Pence, of course, Chrissy Wallace, they lost all credibility with me. I haven't paid no attention to what they have to say. Now, when they came out and said that there was no election fraud, that was a lie. And it was a lie told by liars.
And so, and things like wicked things like this, these so-called Grammy awards, uh, unbelievable. He goes on when he says without natural or without understanding covenant breakers without natural affection, folks, natural affection is the affection and love of a mother has for her baby would never kill it, but protected today. You got so many of these women that are heartless and they're cruel and they're evil. You actually have some that get pregnant on purpose and carry a baby to term to sell it to places like the prince university of Pittsburgh to take in and to take these little babies and cut them in pieces and sell their body parts. It's evil. It's evil. It's very, very wicked and very, very evil. Very, very evil. And so here, uh, we combine that with LGBTQ sodomy, NAMBLA, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, NOW, DNC, the ACLU, and the corrupted very, very corrupted DOJ, the department of defense now has been American people.
They have gone totally rogue and committed treason against the American people, along with the FBI and the CIA. And of course the NEA is out totally to destroy your children. So these are the times that we're living in right now, but there's good news in all of this folks. And, and, uh, as we go through, we'll see that God is on the throne. Now I have often, often, often said that we have nothing to be proud of, but a lot to be thankful for every good feature or every attribute that we enjoy is not by our own merit, but by God's grace. And none of us, none of us could have picked the, who our parents would be could have picked when we were going to be born, whether we would be born to wealth or other poverty, whether we would be born male or female. Yes, believe it or not, there's still only two genders.
Okay. And, and so all of these things is by God's grace, whether we're intelligent, whether we're strong and handsome, all of these things is by God's grace and not by our own merit. And here, uh, I want to go over to, for example, to first Corinthians or second Corinthians, I mean, second Corinthians chapter, uh, chapter nine, verse eight, just one verse. And God is able to make all grace abound towards you that you are always having all sufficiency in all things and may abound in every good work. You notice something, he said abound twice. God promises an abundance of all grace to those who learn the grace of giving and exercise it cheerfully is what he's referring there to. Um, here, again, we see the frequent use of the superlatives in this verse, all grace, always all sufficient, all things, every good work and with the bound occurring twice. And so here again, uh, give God the glory, give God all of the glory and all of our, for all of our blessings. And we should always replace the word proud, proud of with blessed by.
Instead of saying, I'm proud of, we always really need to say blessed by you say, well, why is that? Well, let's go and find out why we're going to go over to Proverbs chapter 16. And in Proverbs chapter 16, I think I'm going to have to take a wet my whistle. This is my third time preaching this today.
And I don't want to run out of voice. In Proverbs 16 verse five, we read this, everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord, though hand joined in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Well, he's making a point there. Okay. Uh, pride was the primeval sin of Satan himself.
Okay. Hand in hand means people that have joined together in their pride. They've joined together. Uh, and we see things that we're going to take a look at that because, uh, some of the things that it just, we, we don't understand what's wrong with it, but listen, uh, if God says it, then we've got to believe it. And here now in verse 18, he said, pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall better. Is it to be a humble spirit with a lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud?
Well, the very first sin that was committed to Satan's pride in his pride, he rebelled against God. Satan said, look, look at me. Look how powerful I am. Look how smart I am.
Look how beautiful I am. I will be like God. I'm going to be like God.
Okay. I'm going to be like the creator. No, Satan was the creation.
He wasn't the creator, but he wanted to elevate himself. He he had this pride thing. And today as we take a look, we see it everywhere in the mainstream media pushes the word pride and all of the biblically, uh, illiterate, which are oblivious to what God has said. For example, Whoopi Goldberg said she was proud of her abortion. Now there is a, a group out there that is called abortion pride, abortion pride folks. This is evil.
This is evil. Also, there are some things like, well, today we have, um, well, we have black pride. We have American pride. You say, what's wrong with American pride. What's wrong with these things?
Well, God says they're wrong. Okay. You have corporate pride. You have woke corporation pride. You have ethnic pride. There's a group out there called ethnic. You have gay pride, which we know that sodomy that we know that's a horrible sin, but then you have a gray pride. That means there's people my age with, uh, with, with hair like mine.
And you say, well, what's wrong with them? You got to sit down and do it. That's all you need to know.
That's all you need to know. Uh, you can say gay blessed or blessed. You know, you, you could change that to blessed by gay or gray blessed by gray.
Okay. Or blessed by, well, in fact, you've got the proud boys out there and, uh, you say, well, wait a minute. Aren't they, they Patriots? Well, maybe they are Patriots and as good, but God says he hates a prideful face.
He hates, he hates a prideful heart, prideful spirit folks. You know, there's a lot of things that, that people, uh, don't agree with in the Bible. And then I've actually heard people say, well, you know, I, I agree with all the Bible except for this part. No, you got, you got to agree with it all.
And you got to believe that God is right or none. And I got to tell you, uh, this is why they have all over 200 perversions of the Bible. Well, I'll just go find me a version that says what I want to, what I want to believe. Really.
That's stupid. You see, because it doesn't matter what you believe. It's what God says. Okay. That in the end, um, that is all that's going to matter because what God says is what's going to come about. You can believe whatever you want, but I can tell you right now.
Okay. Got everything in God's word, the Bible, by the way, this King James Bible is the most authoritative, the most authoritative, uh, source of information. And it's the highest, uh, in authority book or article, whatever that exists today is the highest authority right here, the word of God.
And, and so here, as he said here again, the better it be, better is it to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide to spoil with the proud. Now I want to go over to first Timothy chapter three and in first Timothy chapter three, maybe, maybe that's second Timothy. Is that first Timothy or second Timothy? First Timothy chapter three, uh, verses six and seven.
Well, you know what, to make sense, I better start with verse one. Now this is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a Bishop, he desired the good thing. Well, a Bishop is simply a word for pastor.
Okay. Uh, and the Greek is called the piscopoque or where you get a piscopalia, uh, or an elder or a pastor or an overseer, uh, or a parson. Uh, all of these are the shepherd.
They're all at the same office. And so today man has taken, and first of all, he came up with this idea of denominations, which is not something that God accepts at all. In fact, I think I'm going to, Lord's willing, preach a message on all of the things that man demands God accept. And that's what's happening out there. And, uh, folks, it doesn't work that way. It doesn't. And here, this is a true saying, if a man desire, the office of a Bishop, he desired the good thing.
You notice something there. It doesn't say if a person, or it doesn't say if a man or woman is specifically that a man, why is that? Because women are told specifically, they're not to be pastors. They're not to have authority in the church over the man. A Bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife. Well, folks, uh, in those days, husbands could only be male. Well, guess what? They are today too.
The world out here just, uh, well, they're just in la la land and they don't realize that they're living illusion. A real husband, because God gave us the definition, has to be a man. It has to be a male.
It has to be. And a wife has to be a woman. Now, they can believe whatever they want. Little Buddha Jay out there, uh, running around, thinks that he's the wife of, uh, his husband. Little Buddha Jay is a, is a fool.
He's an absolute fool, folks. Again, God has, God has given us the divine institution of marriage. And with that, he gave us the definition. One man, a male, female woman.
Okay. And so he goes on to say, vigilant, uh, husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality and up to teach. Uh, here, when he tells you all of these things, he's got to have the, uh, they have to teach hospitality. He's got to be ready and willing to take people who, who need a place to stay or accept in, or those that come to visit, uh, one that ruleth well his own house, having his children's objection with all gravity. Now, what is one of the major, uh, uh, jobs of a pastor? And that is to do marriage and family counseling. That's one of the major duties of a pastor. And believe me, it's much, much easier if you are married and have your own family to be able to relate to others.
Okay. Uh, where if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? Well, the church of God is, is, is kind of under, uh, made kind of, uh, in the lightness of the family.
You have the leadership, you have the pastors and the leaders. Now, not a novice. Let's be lifted up with pride. He fall in the condemnation of the devil. Let me read that again.
Not a novice. Let's be lifted up with pride. Here we go. Pride, pride, pride.
Here we go. He fall in the condemnation of the devil. And so here, uh, what is he talking about? Pride is, is the identified as the worst sin here of all as, uh, it was the very, very sin which caused Lucifer to fall and become Satan. And of course the devil and Isaiah 14 verses 12 to 15, he said, I will be as God. Satan had made himself. He had become all full of pride. Look at me, how great, how intelligent, how strong, how powerful I am. Yet he didn't realize he was the creator.
He was the pot, not the potter. And so he decided he got full of pride and he sinned and rebelled against God. That was the first sin. And so here, uh, pride of course is essentially identical with the arrogance of rejecting God's word. And so he goes on to say, there are five times in the New Testament when believers are warned about a snare.
Okay. When he refers to in verse seven, moreover, he must have a good report of them, which are without lest he fall into a reproach and the snare of the devil. And so here again, we see the pride according to God is a horrible sin. And yet there are people say, well, I'm proud to be an American. Well, I can understand that, but I think we ought to take a lesson from the word of God and God knows what he's doing here, folks. And, and just say, we're blessed to be an American. There you go.
It works better that way. Now I want to go over because because there's a lot of, a lot of, uh, anxiety and worldly care nowadays in our country a lot. And so I want to go over to Philippians chapter four and Philippians chapter four. Now tonight, like I always am on Sunday nights, folks, and you know, uh, how it's been a long, long day. Cause I, I might start my day actually at two o'clock in the morning on Sunday morning. And so by this time I've been up for a while and working. And so now here we go to, so I'm, so I get a little bit tired and a little bit slow, like I slow down and never reminds me. I need to wet my whistle again.
Tonight I've got lime water, nice, cold, refreshing lime water. And so now we're in Philippians chapter four, starting with verse four and verses four through nine, rejoice in the Lord. Always again, I say, rejoice, let your moderation be known into all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known into God and the peace of God, which passes all understanding should keep your hearts and your minds to Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, what sort of things are true? Well, think about that true. Well, how many things are true today? And I can tell you hardly anything that comes out of Washington, DC out of the mainstream media is true. Well, whatsoever things are honest. Well, here we go again. Uh, there is so much, so much dishonesty in government. So, so very much in government today. Whatsoever things are just, well, there you go. Remember January 6th, 2021, you still have Christian Patriots. Uh, remember little miss Babbitt who was murdered, murdered by a dirty cop.
When it, when it comes to justice, you've got the FBI being weaponized and the IRS and the CIA against Christians, just because we're Christians. Whatsoever things are pure whatsoever. Things are lovely whatsoever.
Things are good report. If there'd be any virtue and if there'd be any praise, think on these things, those things, which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me do. And the God of peace shall be with you. Now Paul was making two things. He, he knew that he was, he was walking, he was running a good race. He didn't have any doubts on, he was on what he was doing and how he lived because he was schooled three years personally in the Arabian desert by the Lord himself.
And so to say, listen, remember what I said, listen, and do as I said, and do as I do. Believe it or not, this was written from, uh, the prisons are Paul was in. This is one of the prison epistles. And here, here, the amazing thing was in the church in Philippi, when he said, rejoice in the Lord of hallways. Again, I say the Phillip, the Philippian church was, uh, they were in deep, deep poverty. Uh, and, and they were under a lot of, if you start over in verse one, you see that they were a persecuted church.
Okay. And yet they, in their deep affliction, when they were in deep affliction, they exhibited great, great joy and looking for, as he said, the Lord is at hand. They were very joyful looking, expecting, and they had it expected the Lord was going to take back, come back anytime. They were sure, okay, of the imminent return of the Lord.
And that was where their joy was. And here, that here, uh, when he says, the peace of God is knowing the peace of God is knowing that God is always in complete control. So whatever evil that the world can do to us, folks, God can undo and make you right. Paul is saying what you have heard him and say and do, do the very, very same. And so here, he's telling you, look, we know how this whole thing ends. Just trust in the Lord. He's on the throne. He's in complete control. He's going to undo whatever evil this world can do to us.
Okay. And so if we go over to first John chapter five and the first John chapter five, we read verses one through 13. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ. Now, you know, the Christ here, a lot of people will say, yeah, I believe Jesus is a son of God.
No, Jesus is the sons of God. If you're a saved, born again believer, you're a son of God, but the Lord Jesus is the son of God, meaning the only begotten God, the father and everyone that has forgotten of him. By this, we know that we love the children of God who we love God and keep his commandments for this is the love of God that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous.
In other words, we're happy to obey the Lord. For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God. Now, it simply means that you are saved. And if you're saved, you have overcome the world. If you're saved, you've already overcome the world.
In other words, in the end, okay, you're going to be the winner and the world is going to be the loser. And so here, he goes on to say in verse six through eight, this is he that came by water, by blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and the blood, and is the spirit that beareth witness because the spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the father, the word and the Holy Ghost. And these are three.
Now, these are three. Now, this is called the Johannian coma or controversy, if you will. Now, what it said about, it's been called, obviously it carries here, this verse carries the clearest and most explicit statement of the doctrine of the Trinity to be found in the Bible. And so the, but it's very controversial.
Why? Well, because there are those so-called Bible scholars who say that that was added to the original text. Well, folks, I hate to tell you. Well, and the reason they say that is that it's found only in manuscripts of the Latin Bible and in four Greek manuscripts, and I'm talking about the old manuscripts, the early manuscripts. Now, here back at that time, there were two Origen and Arius, two theologians, if you will. Both of them were anti-Trinity. They didn't believe in Trinity and they didn't believe in the inerrancy of the Word of God. And many of these Bible scholars have accused these two of putting that verse into, adding that verse into the scriptures. Folks, that's the last thing they would do. They were very anti-Trinity. If anything, they would have taken it out. If anything, they would have removed it from the manuscripts.
And maybe they did. And so here, he goes on to say, And these three that bear witness in the earth, the spirit and the water and the blood, these are three that agree in one. Now, here's the thing. Here in this, when it says that by water and blood. Now, first of all, when Jesus was baptized, when he went down to the Jordan and John the Baptist said, you should be baptized to me. And Jesus said, no, even though let it be. In other words, Jesus said, you know, for this time, go ahead and baptize me. Now, that was his testament in his baptism of immersion.
That was the Lord's testament there. And then when it said, when that was taking place, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit lighted upon the Lord Jesus as a dove. He came in a form of a dove.
And what happened? Then you could hear the Father from heaven, audibly acknowledging the Lord Jesus as his son. He said, this is my son.
Who am I? I'm well pleased. And then last but not least, when he shed his blood on the cross, his resurrection was a triumph over death. When he arose on that third day, he goes on to say, if we receive then the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God, which hath testified of his son. He that believeth on the son of God hath the witness in himself. He that believeth not God hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the record that God gave his son. And this is the record that God hath given to eternal life, and this life is in the son. How that he had the son had life, and he that hath not the son of God hath not life. And he that hath not the son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you, that believe in the name of the son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, that you may know that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the son of God. There are many, many people out there today in pastures who say, well, I ll know once I die. I ll know then, but I can t know until then.
Yes, you can. You can know, because if you ve done what the Lord says, if you ve confessed your sins to the Lord, prayed to the Father like Jesus said, confessed your sins to him, and then called upon the name of the Lord, asked Jesus to be the Lord of your life, all of your life, without any reservations, you will be indwelt with the Holy Spirit. God always, always, always acknowledges and when He keeps His promise, He honors, He always honors when people put their trust in Him. These things have I written unto you, that believe in the name of the son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the son of God. And so here now, I want to go over to John chapter 4. And in John chapter 4, we read this, verses 1 through 6. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits with the air of God, because many false prophets are going out into the world. Well, there were many, but nothing like as many as there are today.
I mean, today, oh, they're, it's, they're loaded with them. Hereby, we know that the Spirit of God, and every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Now, you have to understand that, first of all, Christ is not the Lord's last name. Jesus, okay, and Emmanuel means God with us, okay. And also, one of the other definitions in the Greek is, is the son of the highest. Jesus is the son of the highest. Christ means He's the Savior.
He's the deliverer. That means, it refers to His deity. And so when, when they're, when they deny the deity of Christ, when they say He's the Son of God, but not God the Son, then they are not of the Lord's. He says, Hereby, we know the Spirit of God to everyone that the Spirit confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, wherefore you have heard that it should come even as now already is in the world.
But boy, you're not kidding. Do we have that today in the world? And as this time comes closer and closer, we see more and more activity. We see the Church of Satan blatantly flaunting their, their wickedness, their evil out there.
By the way, the Church of Satan has become the official, unofficial religion of the Democratic Party today. It says, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than the He that is in the world. They are of the world, therefore, therefore speak of the world. And the world heareth them, for we are of God. He that knoweth God heareth us, but he that is not of God heareth not us. I hereby know that we are the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
And so here, Christ is the anointed one, is another name for the Christ, the anointed one. Those that say that He is, is the Son of God, but not God the Son, these are false prophets. And those that deny His deity, like the Mormons, like Jehovah's Witnesses, like some of the Seventh-day Advent, anyone or everyone that denies that Jesus is God the Son, the Creator, they're teaching heretical teachings. And it says right here, And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is coming to flesh is not of God. And so He goes on to say, They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God, and we, he that knoweth God heareth us. He that is not of God heareth us, heareth not us. I hereby know that we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. And so here, you see, again, we mentioned Jehovah's Witness, Seventh-day Advent, it's much of the apostate church. Much of the apostate church today don't believe the Bible.
They don't believe the Word of God. And so, excuse me, Christ dwelleth in us through the Holy Spirit. God is omnipotent and all-powerful. Satan is the God of this world, but He is a creation, therefore, the Lord God, King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. And Satan, Lord of Lords, Satan had professed that he would be as the Most High.
Not only that, but listen to this. God, Jehovah, the Trinity, God is actually Satan's God too. Even though Satan hates God, he will be humbled and made to worship God. And so here, in all of his church also, I want to go over to 1st Corinthians chapter 15. And in 1st Corinthians chapter 15, verses 51 through 58. Well, here, we read, Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
Here, the mystery is not revealed in previous ages. It assures us that Christ's second coming will be initiated by simultaneous resurrection and the glorification of the dead in Christ and the glorification of the bodies of those still living at the time. Here, where he says, And all will be raised. Now, there's no basis for the so-called partial rapture that people talk about.
The mystery had been unveiled previously to the Thessalonian believers. And so here, now, he goes on to say, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump... Now, see, this is where people get confused. I had a guy call me one day, he said, It's the last trumpet. I said, No, no, no, it's the last trump of the first trumpet. This is the first trumpet that will sound when the church gets raptured.
The trump is the sound that a trumpet makes. And when he says, At the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and shall be changed. For this the corruptible must put on incorruption, and the mortal must put on immortality. Well, I'm going to tell you, what a concept that, you know, when you think about that, just think about that. Folks, immortality, immortality.
It's very, very hard to even, you know, wrap your brain around that. Especially as you get older. People my age, we have seen so many of our friends and so many of our family members that have gone home to be with the Lord, that have left this world. And we realized just how temporal we are. Our lifespan is like the Bible says, it's like a vapor that appears for an instant and then it's gone. And just then, you know, thinking about this and then trying to wrap your brain around immortality, living forever and ever and ever. And it says here, So when the corruptible shall have put on incorruption and the mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall we, which shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, death is swallowed up in victory.
Now that is really interesting. Now, where is that written? Isaiah 25 verse 8, also in Hosea 13, 14. Here we have it in verse 15, Death and the grave are the same Greek word here in these two.
And that is, I believe it's Thanatos, Thanatos in the Greek. It means, as it says here, Death, where is thy sting, O grave, where is thy victory? And so here, he goes on to say, The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is in the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord, no matter how great the temptation to compromise, don't do it, folks. We're in the final stretch.
We're in the home stretch now. And when that happens, that's when your temptation is greater and greater to do something to take away the crowns you've laid up in glory. No matter how demanding and difficult, may the work to which God has called you do, do not quit. There will be a day of resting and reward, but that's not yet. In fact, he tells you that day of resting over in Hebrews chapter 4, verses 9 and 11, also in Hebrews chapter 6, I think verse 10.
But here now, just think about that. So when the corruptful shall have put on incorruption, and the mortal shall have put on immortality, it's coming, that'll happen to us. And I want to close tonight in Romans chapter 8. And this is one of the most powerful passages of Scripture here in Romans chapter 8.
We start in verse 31. What shall we then say to these things of God before us who can be against us? He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all.
How shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth?
It is Christ that died, yet rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God. Also make intercession for us. Do you realize we have the Lord Jesus himself?
We had the potentate, the most powerful entity in existence, making intercession for us, folks. Now listen to this, because in 35 through 37, he gives 17 things. He lists 17 things here. Now remember, the number 10 means completion, and number 7 is perfection.
So here, these numbers remain perfect perfection. He gives you 17 things here. For as it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Now in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor death, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Okay, and so here, this is perhaps the most marvelous passage in the scripture, because what does it do? Well, it assures us of permanence of our salvation.
That's right, 17 things which are listed, folks, that cannot cause us to be separated from God and lose our salvation. I'm just hoping that if you're out there listening to me tonight, that you have that salvation, that you have called upon the name of the Lord and done exactly what the Lord Jesus said. You prayed to the Father, you asked for forgiveness of sins, and then you asked the Lord Jesus to be the Lord of your life, all of your life, without reservations. This is not a hard thing to do. Once you've done that, God will always, always honor that.
He always will. And what happens, you will become a new creature, a born-again believer, an heir of the kingdom, and then you will be indwelt with the Holy Spirit, and you will become again a brand new creature. From this point on, everything you do from the very moment you're saved starts to count. Up until this time, all your good works went for naught. All your good works, they're gone, they're used up on earth, and they're recognized by men. But now, once you're saved, your good works in the name of the Lord places up crowns and glory for you to spend eternally with. And so, we're out of time for tonight. So, as we say every night at this time when we get to here, and a boy am I tired, good night, God bless, and always hope.
