On this uh seventh day of January twenty Twenty. Six. How about that? And uh tonight. When I first met him, he was a young man on a mission.
In search of a hero And then it happened. Style. And now I'm no longer on a mission. Right. All righty.
Alrighty. That's it well. When I first met her, She called me and asked me, What's wrong with you? You're coughing on the radio, and uh I've got some medicine for you. No, she is known as America, as America's all natural herbal medicine marm.
none other than Miss Wendy Wilson. Hey, Wendy. Oh, good evening, Pastor. Good evening. How are you?
I'm good. How are you doing?
Well, we're we're doing okay. I'm not doing as good as I want to do, but I'm working towards that. What do you how's that? What do you think about that? Yeah.
Well, I mean, you know, as long as you're making improvement on a daily basis, I'm happy with that. You know, did you hear Donald Trump when he gave that speech a couple of days ago? Uh when he The speech was to the retreat for the Republican Congress. members in Congress and I don't think I did.
Well it was really good because he talked about a lot of his personal stuff. And what he one of the things he said, you know, is that um His wife. Really gets upset with him When he does. The trump dance. Oh, yeah, I did see that.
I did see that. She says it wasn't presidential. You've got right, you've got all these. These people out there trying to Yeah. imitate him now.
I mean the Communists are all trying to imitate. They're all coming up Uh Maduro had his own dance. That um That mayor out there in Minneapolis, if was it Jacob Frey?
Now he's got he's a communist. He's got his his little dance. Uh Even Tampa Tim had his dance. Uh, so they're all trying to come up and and imitate the oh. Uh what do you call it, um moron Mendummy.
There in New York. He's got to dance. And they're trying to imitate Trump. But Trump's dance has been much more successful than the others. Trump gets more.
You hear a lot of people cheer when he dances, don't they? Why do you think his wife don't like his dance so much? I'm not sure. Did she did he ever explain that? He said what you he says that Is that's that's um Not sophisticated enough, he's that he's not presidential.
So it made me think. And it made me think, What if I go up there Uh In my house. And I'd tell my wife. And I just do a I don't say anything. I just do my own little dance.
What do you think'll happen? I wouldn't know what would happen there. Yeah, but I'll bet you're curious, aren't you? Mm-hmm. Anyhow.
She m she may want to know what you're doing. I think she's gonna say That's not very sophisticated for a pastor. Possibly. You go. That's what they do.
And um anyhow, we gotta get into our message 'cause it's a it's very sophisticated. Did you know that? All right. With all what's been going on, you know, with I mean, just we're living in pretty exciting times every day. Um More and more is happening.
And we're seeing again The distinction between the Communist and the Antichrist Communist Party. Out there the Democrats, the unholy alliance between radical Islam and Communists, Uh we're seeing that and I and I was just reading how Uh there are a number of people are older people are confused of Why some so many of these young people is Gen Zers? wanted wanted to move towards communism and they're they're saying They must not know anything about communism. All communism does is end up in death. It's killed.
hundreds and hundreds of millions of people. That's what that's what communism is. And of course that's what the leftists hear Um in in this country they're all about death, whether it's abortion, whether it's euthanasia. uh, whatever, they're all about death. And so Here, we're going to pick it up because in There's a couple of passages in Scripture that really describes communism.
And what we're what we have been seeing, and it's it's very important that Uh you know, the days we're living in The Word of God is so relevant. You've heard people say how. the constitutions of living breathing Manuscript is not. Document is not. The Bible is.
The Bible is an actual living, breathing. because there's things contained right here in his King James Bible That's been there. all along. But God has not yet. uh revealed it to us and This has been happening to the centuries where He reveals things to us as the time is is right.
And Here A couple of those p uh passages of Scripture describes communism. One is Proverbs chapter one. And we we already read verses one through nineteen. But then here Uh when you're wondering why people are doing really stupid things. I mean Um, and not just the young people.
Uh here Uh You have Out there in Minnesota. And uh You and we're in Florida Where the Venezuelans, those people from Venezuela that had got out of Venezuela, where they were celebrating, I mean, just. celebrating for mad you know, the Maduro was taken down. Um, you've got ha you had these well, these were rent. Rent a mob.
These are people that. They get paid. You can you know, you can buy a mob any time you want if you want to riot or protest. Did you know that? Um yeah, I've I've heard that.
Um And It costs a lot and they g like to get a lot of the older people uh, because they're they're not likely to have as much problem out of them. You know, they so they like to get a lot of retired people. And so they sent a bunch of A old a white uh people in their trying to tell these uh all of these uh people from Venezuela That um They shouldn't be they they shouldn't be celebrating. Uh and uh well, that didn't go over too good. And here Now you had the very same thing in Minnesota.
where you have all these people out there that are attacking The ice agents And you had to say rent 'em up a bunch of They went right at a bunch of old white pe people that are Not very smart, okay.
Now, you know, you can understand this, you know, you've heard this the S the saying's the young and the dumb, but There's another same There's no fool like an old fool, okay? And We're gonna pick it up where we lived off because now we're dealing with Wisdom versus the lack of wisdom. And in Proverbs 1 starting with verse 20. We're gonna pick it up there. Wisdom crieth without she uttereth her voice in the streets.
Now here Wisdom Uh has been referred to Today there are those that falsely teach that that wisdom is the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is female. And this this is not not what the Bible teaches by any any means, okay? Uh Actually here Uh In a while. what they're referring to. is um Well, actually in this Wisdom is is uh frequently throughout throughout the Proverbs here.
Um Yeah.
Well, you might say per personified. as a wise and a virtuous Wise and virtuous kinswoman a kinswoman And um Here And actually Uh What do you think wisdom actually is? I mean, it's referred to here in this in the Proverbs. Uh Is uh they're talking about like a identified like a wise woman. Uh motherly type.
But what do you what do you think wisdom really is? Mm. Also a good question. I mean, I I always thought it was curious that they referred to her to her as a she. Um Well, a lot of times you do that.
That's that's on a lot of things, is you know When I was in the military all our planes they they referred to they all had women's names, even the biggest battle a lot of the Biggest battleship, yeah. Um they referred and and especially Especially uh, hurricanes and storms they like to refer to as women. Right. male names for hurricanes lately, you know. Um I don't know, maybe their their crossover names could be a girl or a boy.
You know?
Well, c uh you mean like a trans storm?
Now, like, you know, interchangeable names like Dale could be a male or uh female. Uh so Um, Marion, same thing. Uh so it just depends. You won't find too many women named Wilbur, I'll bet. Hmm no.
Uh Mr. Ed.
Alright, we gotta go to this next verse. It says She crieth in the chief place of the concourse in the opening of the gates. in the city she uttereth her words saying, How long, you simple ones Will you love simplicity and scorner's delight? in their scorning and fools hate knowledge.
So We should ask style style Today, if I s w if I'm asking you, who do you think that verse would really apply to today? Um Um, the majority of people today. Yeah, but uh do you think the application would be very good for those that are out there in the streets Uh, people trying to run over ICE agents. Um Rioting out there. Defending everything Always taking the wrong side of every issue.
always taking the wrong side. The The corrupt side. Do you think that might be referring to them? Yeah, I think it applies to them. I think it applies to a lot of people.
People. Warping their morals or warping faith to fit their morals rather than sticking to faith itself. All right, so now Tampon Tem and his lieutenant governor. urging people to put their bodies to put your bodies, you know, throw your bodies in into this battle. You don't see him doing that though, do you?
No. No, but now they've they're looking for simple ones. They're looking for people that are not real smart, okay. Um these are the ones to do that. No.
A lot of your Your random the older rental mobbers, they're not going to do that. They don't they don't have the energy and they don't want to go to jail. But a lot of your younger ones that that are out there doing that today So he says, How long you simple ones?
Well, you love simplicity and scorners delight in their scorning. and fools hate knowledge. Note Here When we're comparing these things. Uh when you start out you c you compare wisdom Uh And what wisdom really is Um Is the knowledge of God. That's what wisdom is: the knowledge of God, through the Spirit of God.
But here And when it's referred to Um Here is a godly kinswoman. What do you think the ungodly are referred to? The like those women on the view. I didn't think that w they're referred to, Wendy.
Well, I would call him simple minded, but Here in chapter two It's referred to as where Wisdom, the knowledge of God, is referred to as a as a virtuous kinswoman. Uh here the wicked, the opposition. If you go to chapter two and verse sixteen. To deliver thee from the strange woman and that word there means foreign. Also it's used for as a foreign woman.
Um Even from the stranger which that flattereth with her words which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. For her house inclineth unto death, And her pass unto unto the dead And so That That reminds me, these are wicked women. He tells you in Jeremiah Uh Chapter two, verse thirty four. that their skirts are filled with the blood of the innocent, that their skirts should fill with the blood of the innocent.
So it reminds me of these these women. Like, for example, right now in Hillary, Hilary has been on everything out there you can imagine. Um Talking about of Trump being a traitor committing treason having illegal acts. She's she's been she's on every website out there now. Um, and gee, boy, I'm gonna tell you, you talk about Treachery A woman that has done what she has done the way she's attacking trumpets.
Unbelievable. that I can see that That um h old Hillary is worried. She's worried because Cromer says. that if she doesn't show up again they refuse to come When they were uh told it would you know, to come for a hearing, Now she's gonna be subpoenaed. and he s he says if she does not come her and Slick are both gonna be arrested.
And so I think Hillary is kind of in a panic right now. Uh if you heard the way she was talking. You can see she's in a panic. One. both attorneys.
They know they know, you know, what happens to you if you don't show up if you've been subpoenaed. Yeah.
And they're not above the law, but you know what? Um, if if they're gonna not show up and they elect Oh, I'll I'll be arrested instead. If that's their course. I want to buy a ticket. I want to see that.
Yeah, you and me both. Yeah.
Anyhow. He goes on to say. How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Fools hate knowledge.
Turn you at my reproof Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, and I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called and ye refused, I have stretched out my hand, and no man regardeth. Uh here Whatever. And for fifty one years we've been trying to get th those out there to repent. On the left, okay.
They hate us. We don't hate them because That we feel sorry for him. Uh, they make us angry. We feel sorry for 'em because we know what their end is gonna be. And but for all these years we've been trying to get them to repent, lest they should burn.
He says, but you have You have set at naught all my counsel, and have and would have none of my reproof. That's the the the preaching that we have been preaching to them I also will laugh at your calamity I will mock when your fear cometh. When your fear cometh as a desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me But I will not answer they shall seek me early. But they shall not find me.
And see, this is what is happening actually now, and this is the future. of those out there on the left. For they hated knowledge, and did not choose to fear the Lord. They would have none of my counsel, and despise my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be filled with their own devices.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearketh unto me shall dwell safely and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
So, to sum that up, though, out there, all of you out there on the left that listen. And I know that that there's some of you listening because I don't w I wouldn't be getting the nasty letters if they weren't. But Anyhow If you're listening to this You better pay attention. If you died today, here's the thing. If you died today, and a lot of people are going to die even before this radio program's over with.
Well, you die in your sin. It's it's over. There's no turning back. Uh for all of eternity you're gonna be in torment. That is reality.
That's reality. And that's why we keep trying to tell you. You really don't want to go there, right? Uh I'm gonna sw uh change up here a little bit. Today I got a phone call.
All right. As I was driving in my car. And here It was from Uh Kevin Isselman. The cabin was wonderful. My associate pastor says Somebody's making a lot of noise.
Who's doing that? I'm sorry, I dropped the phone.
Sorry. All right. We'll give you one more chance. No. Here We have a Kevin called me today and you and you you won't believe this, Wendy.
Um Kevin was one of one of my society pastors for many, many years. We he went up to death row with me for like forty five years. Uh and um Well, uh well, he wasn't with me all of that time. He had moved away and then he moved back. But he was one of our faithful pastors in this His uh health went bad.
went south and And um Here He called me today. He was in the emergency room. There Um what is it, that that uh hospital, it's a tri Tri-tip, I believe it is. Uh And He had fallen in his apartment and And apparently uh, became unconscious And He laid there for five days. Uh Without any food or water.
And what happened? I g apparently Now when he was telling me these things He he was at that time They had him all wired up with intervenus and they were giving him Medication so Uh he was a a tad bit drow drowsy. But he was telling me how He laid there for five days without um anything uh coming you know Coming in and going in and out of consciousness with them. Until one of the from the VA, from the veterans wa one of the, I believe, caseworkers came out to I wondered what a They hadn't heard from him or I guess he didn't show up where he was supposed to.
So they came to check on him and they found him. And that's where they called the the ambulance and brought him in right away. But anyhow I said all that to say He is not in good shape at all. He's in very bad shape right now and This is why As you know here, we really believe in prayer. We really believe in prayer.
And why do we really believe in prayer? Uh because God God tells us He will answer our prayers. He will answer our prayers. If If you believe And that's why And I believe, I I really believe, and I've had a lot of my prayers answered. And this is but I know that there's power in prayer, and that's why I'm I'm wanting to get all the folks out there listening to me as many as possible to pray for Kevin 'cause he's not in good shape.
He's in very poor, very poor shape. And so I'm going to say a prayer for him if you would pray along with me. I certainly would appreciate it. Heavenly Father, Lord God, I just want to hold our brother Kevin up. Kevin Kevin's had a A tough life in many ways, Lord.
um, being a um, converted from Judaism to Christianity. He's a A born again. No, Bible believing Christian Jew And and that had caused problems in for many ways and He's had a he's had it tough in many ways, but he's always kept the faith and Uh he was been a was a real real blessing to me working with me in the ministry. He was like a right hand man and I know He loves the Lord with all his heart. I know He loves you with all of His heart, Lord, and so right now I just want to hold him up.
And ask Father God, Lord, that uh again you would intervene on his behalf and you would you would touch And Every in every area where he needs a healing You would provide that healing. Father God, and Lord, that you would take away the pain And Father God, that you would bless him. with multiple blessings in every area where he could receive that blessing. And Lord, that you might even be able to restore him. I know he comes to church when he can.
But, Lord, even 'tis to such health as it He can come back and and be Working here again with us in the ministry, we sure could use him. This we're asking in Jesus' precious name. Amen. Absolutely. We'll be back right after this.
Alright. Mm-hmm. so certain about this fate of mine. I'm hanging in there. Doing fine.
King Jesus is a friend of mine. I'm blessed by you. Saving babies. Teaching centers and Hell's for losers, heaven's for winners. Let's work.
This is not where it begins. I am blessed by you. I'm coming home someday. Oh. Heaven's my way.
I'm blessed by you. Where the saints are Day and little children play, I'm blessed by you where the saints of old walk on streets of gold. I know that I will see that heavenly prize. It's no surprise how happy I'll be gonna see my family again. Gonna be with long-lost friends, maybe sooner.
I don't know when. I'm blessed by you. Gave me treasures, preaching sinners. Hell's for a loser, heaven's for winners for this word. Listen, I'll repeat you.
I'm blessed by you. I'm coming home someday. Heaven's my way. I'm blessed by you. Where the saints all stay and little children play, I'm blessed by you.
Where the saints of all walk the streets of old. I know that I will see my mansion on high to glorify. Where his glory shine, there I'll apply on those golden shores. I'll be satisfied. Oh, some bright day gonna fly away.
It's there I'll stay. I'll be there with you, cause your words are learning. I'm blessed by you. Amen. I am blessed by you too.
And uh right now we have Miss Wendy Wilson. I've been blessed by Wendy. In fact, I'm holding her catalogue. and in it is a cup and on the in the cover are cayenne peppers and they look just like the ones that come out of my garden I had I couldn't believe how many cayenne peppers I I had this year. And um boy, I just love those things.
But anyhow, with that Miss Wendy. you always have something to you always leave us. more educated than you found us.
So I'm glad to hear that. Yeah.
Yeah, uh Well, I thought we'd we'd look at hospitals today, you know, because hospitals just like restaurants, you know, get a rating.
So, you know, if you if you go into a restaurant, you're looking for their rating, you know, for the health department rating? Ever see that? Uh yeah. Yeah.
So hospitals, you know, are usually inspected every two years and they get a rating, okay? Um so I thought we'd look at that. A lot of people don't know their hospital has a rating. And Over the years I've kinda Pulled a lot of reports on U. S.
hospitals that periodically are inspected and rated. on their overall performance.
So hospitals, you know, get a grade similar to how restaurants. Get a health department rating. Patients that are planning to enter the hospital should ask for the rating.
Now in April in twenty twenty, John Hopkins received a very disappointing rating And Peter doctor Peter Probanos did a study He's with the Adult Critical Care Unit at John Hopkins in Baltimore. and it showed that the hospitals are not doing enough to keep patients healthy and safe.
Now he suggested that people should investigate the hospital's infectious rating, infectious disease rating. Because he said if a hospital does not keep track to offer a rating or if the rating is over one in one thousand, he says go somewhere else. He also feels that patients should expect their hospital to offer minimal risk, if any, because the disease patients acquire while they're there. is preventable.
Now the CDC also states one in 25 patients will get a hospital acquired infection. and doctor Province also recommends that patients and family members should question everything until they receive an adequate and truthful answer. Let me let me just jump in for one sec. Uh, the the fellow I we prayed about, Kevin, w who I just prayed for, Uh, there was a hospital very close to where he's at. I mean, and uh but they wouldn't take him in because They're not taking anybody in because they have they're totally filled up with with flu patients, people with they have the flu.
So they're not taking in any new patients there. Um, I thought that I haven't heard of that in a while.
Well, yeah, hospitals, you know. Can do that. I mean, I'm here near Hickory, the Blue Ridge Mountain area, and My neighbor is a nurse. She's she's an administrative RN, but um she told me, I think, a couple of years ago when we were still in the COVID area, she said that that hospital was totally full. This is a big hospital too.
Well Well, if you think big city hospitals, Pastor, f would fare better in care and cleanliness, Well, I tell you, think again.
Now, this was a report january twenty eleven. This is the Journal of the American Medical Association. They reported that the high cost hospitals do not protect patients from hospital infections such as sepsis any better than a small county hospital. And that's really important to know.
So the average cost of treating hospital acquired infections is just under twenty thousand dollars.
So, um Yeah. And then, you know, it it it extends your stay. You know, if you get one of these infections.
Now, this is a quote from the Journal of the American Medical Association. They said, increased hospital spending at high cost hospitals does not appear to be associated with better short term survival rates. Also, they added twenty two hospitals, seven percent. had both significantly lower than expected costs and mortality rates. while one hundred and five hospitals had higher than expected costs and rates.
So Yeah, so just don't assume It's a new hospital, it's high tech, it's going to be safer for you to be in there. There's another study, this is 2015, University of Warwick going to the UK. They reported that if you need to be admitted into a hospital, don't do it on the weekend. Do you know why? No, why?
Well, we're gonna get to it. Yeah.
University of Warwick said patients are more likely to die in the hospital on the weekend. The research found that the They highlighted risks of death after admission to hospitals on the weekend. the they call this weakened effect. in the healthcare industry. It's a feature of several developed countries.
So it's not just UK. Yes, yes. Every developed country that has hospitals has this weekend effect issue. Um Let's see, this is uh Dr. Richard Lifford.
And Dr. Yenfu Chen, University of Warwick, they said hospital weekend death risk is common in several developed countries, not just in England. Yeah.
in my opinion, to be economic.
So business administrators run hospitals. And they're always looking after the bottom line. and keeping the board members happy as well.
So hospitals struggle to determine How much of this death uh weekend effect is really due to service failures compared to physician error or reaction to drug therapy. But weekends typically bring the following, okay? They usually have a skeleton crew. on staff compared to the weekdays. The senior health professionals have weekends off or they may be on call.
Also tests and lab work takes longer. Diagnosis from these tests will take longer. Treatment overall takes longer. and rotating shifts with long hours adds to sleep deprivation. of your medical staff.
So when I worked in intensive care, they had For the nurses and the doctors to select, you can have Eight hours? of shifts, rotating shifts, or you can have twelve hours. rotating shifts. And the nurses A majority of them took the twelve hour because they would work three days in a row on twelve hour shifts. And that gave them two consecutive days off.
it's really hard in the hospital um industry to get two days off in a row.
So they would do it Um So like let for instance, uh they could take Thursday and Friday And maybe they had Saturday off so they could go somewhere, they can travel.
So it's kind of restricting unless you're taking vacation. Um, usually the medical staff, you know, they they don't get too many days off in a row.
Now according to the Warwick University Medical School, They said this amounts to about a Okay, so your weekend effect they're talking about. This amounts to about 160 additional deaths in the hospital, a potentially. scandalous number of deaths. According to Richard Lifford, and Doctor Chen. They say the health care system that doesn't address your concerns is a risky one.
And also clearly the lighter hours of the weekend proved to be the most hazardous and deadliest. Late afternoon to evening. Kept this tend to be the riskiest times. for driving during the week, so you may get in an accident and have to go to the hospital. Medical science and hospital authorities also should focus on.
finding the cause behind your weekend effect according to Doctor Lifford and Chin, so that they really don't know. They can't put their finger on it. But doctor Chen says we found the risk of dying within thirty days was higher for emergency admissions on the weekend.
Okay, so the global stats on this, Pastor. on this weekend effect thing? showed the mortality risk rose by the following. It went up by eight percent. in eleven hospitals in England.
thirteen percent higher in five of the U. S. hospitals, twenty percent higher in six Dutch hospitals. and those that were admitted on a Saturday were twelve percent more likely to die within seven days. All patients admitted at the on the weekend for elective surgery.
were more likely to die within thirty days across the board than those admitted on other days of the week. Isn't this crazy? Yeah, well, you know, I know that I know that in Europe, especially in England, That um There's uh you know, the the death rate is m is much higher than it is here Um, and that the socialized health care that they're getting there And I and I know that, um, that was But that's amazing.
So in other words If I've got to go to the hospital. Yeah, this weekend affect us here in the United States and, you know, developed countries that have hospitals. It's it's common.
So now these people that are raiding these hospitals. Overall, it is Is there an organization that's like a national organization that that does the rating of hospitals? Um, there's a couple. Um, so I think the AMA oversees one. Um, I can't think of the name of the other one.
But yeah, th usually they rate hospitals every two years. they'll go and do a little inspection. One of the reports The uh the the the the report findings were on average, it was really sh shocking to those that were doing The inspection that your hospital staff ignore the cleanliness rules. These are all posted everywhere around sinks. and ORs and stuff, they're supposed to wash their hands a lot and sanitize and sanitize and they're just not doing it.
And, you know, it's it's it's I think one guy said we could reduce infectious disease uh that you get when you come to the hospital to nothing if they would just wash their hands.
So we just assume they're doing it. But they're not.
Now most of these studies really can't seem to find a correlating factor. Which means, you know, Further study may not be done. Uh all you need to do is look at the duty roster. and see the least experienced staff is working the weekend in your hospital though there are were some shift rotations, shift rotations of staff working twelve hour shifts, like I mentioned. Um So sleep deprivation is a real factor for your hospital staff.
Now doctor Chen said no one single factor they could find was to be responsible for the weak end effect Now, uh, you talk Utah Southern Medical Center. Uh, they did a study in twenty sixteen. And they found that one in five patients are discharged with Unstable vital signs.
Now this was really concerning. According to the study, medical insurance companies over the last thirty years have shortened the hospital stays and they're sending the patients home early. According to Dr. Nugent, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Clinical Science, This was an article in the Journal of General Internal Medicine. He said it is estimated twenty percent of patients discharged early with unstable vitals will die within thirty days.
Because they're not getting paid, so off you go. Um It's astonishing to me, but this is your healthcare system.
So I I tell people, you know, have a plan. If you have to seek medical attention, go about it in a careful way. Check to see what your hospital rating is. You can do that online.
Some ratings will be in a letter form like A, B, C, whatever, or maybe they'll be indicated in a symbol like a star, three, four stars.
So I would also bet if you got to have surgery, bet your anesthesiologist. Um if surgery is going to be required. Um Of course, you know Uh you know, if your hospital stays unexpected, it wasn't planned. At least you'll have an advance notice which hospital in your area has a better rating and you can request to be taken there.
Now the anesthesiologist thing So when you have anesthesia and surgery at a hospital, you'll get a bill from the hospital and it'll say anesthesia on there. And this is going to be confusing to patients. They also get a bill from the Anesthesia Group And they think, well, this is double billing, but no, the hospital bill that has anesthesia on there. means the gases you're um that they use to put you to sleep Whereas the anesthesiologist group is the bill for the the doctor's time. seeing your anesthesiologist.
So there's two bills. Um you should insist uh as as I would. to have the anesthesiologist actually administer the gases because They have these nurses, they call them cRNAs. And they use them to administer the gas.
So let's say the hospital I used to work at had 12 surgery bays. on the second floor. And They would have one or two Medical doctor, anesthesiologist on this floor monitoring, walking back and forth. you know, peeking poking their head in. and then the nurses were running the blood gases.
They were there for an emergency. And um so I'm thinking, well, if you're getting a bill for a doctor's time to be running the blood gases your anesthesia, then he should be sitting at your behind your head doing it.
So when you vet your anesthesiologist, you tell them, well, you'll be administering the blood gases. I do not want a nurse doing that.
Okay.
So you have that right to do that because you're the one paying. You're the customer. And it doesn't really matter because your insurance is going to get the same bill whoever's running those gases. And Um Just know, there's planning to be done. I would have a notarized medical directive.
Uh on your phone? And you give a copy to whoever in your family you want to be looking after you. If you're unconscious and you can't make decisions, This medical directive is a legal document. And whoever you assign to administer that document to your medical staff. will be taken seriously and the hospital has to obey your wishes.
Okay, so that's important. You may have to go to an attorney to get one of those, but those are really helpful.
So And you should know that hospital ratings will take Kind of a dive on the weekend admissions.
So if you get a hospital that has an A rating or four stars. you know, just know on the weekend because of how they run hospitals, you know, financially is the weekends will be riskier for you.
Well, you know, I I had my my cataract surgery just, you know, recently on both eyes.
Okay.
And I gotta I gotta say that They couldn't have been any better there because uh the the anesthesiologist was a doctor. and he talked to me the entire time when they started Uh and I mean he he was talking to Timmy the entire time, and then When I woke up he was he was standing right there again uh And like you said, I'm going to be I'm going to be with you the entire time here. Usually usually you're not asleep for cataract surgery.
Well Uh, is I wasn't actually asleep, but I was kinda like in La Laohan, okay.
Okay.
I don't know, but I was They were talking to me, and I could hear them, and I could answer them, but uh. It was it was like You were there, but you were really not all the way constant, you know what you know what I mean?
Well, y yeah, th so they're gonna give you something so you won't be moving around. You know, you can't be moving your head. and stuff while they're trying to do eye surgery. Yeah, exactly. But they but they can't knock you out, you know, with local anesthetics, um, because you have to have your eye open for the surgery.
So Um Yeah, so they usually give it's usually value. It gives people a calming effect. you know, and it calms them down, especially if they're anxious about the procedure. Um So that's probably what you had. Uh, was it a pill that you had to swallow?
No, no. It was, um Like a Like a guess. Oh, okay, so they di they they they gave you some blood gases that kind of almost like laughing gas. Did you feel cold? Uh You know That's that that's exactly what they said you I was gonna feel cold and they gave me a an extra blanket to put on, So that might have been it, you know.
Yeah, yeah. They uh laughing guests can do that. They can it can make you more relaxed. Like you just don't care. But you know, uh but you're not really um, you know, your reflexes and your and your cognitive isn't sharp, yeah.
All right. Well anyway, I just I just thought I'd give people a heads up. I mean We need hospitals, okay? Not Saying, don't go to them. You got sometimes you're with trauma situations, you have to go there.
But, you know, just be selective um where you're going and on the when what hopefully you won't have to go on a weekend. Absolutely. But, you know, you're right about the uh how they shorten the stay. You know, when I was a younger I was always breaking bones and I'd go into the So I'd go in the hospital and they'd they'd keep you in there for a long time. Uh nowadays in there when I broke my shoulder.
This last time. I thought I'd be in there for, you know, because that was a major, you know, Yeah. But I was only in there for about uh about three or four days. Yeah.
Yeah, I I know when I had my first baby in, um, eighty four, Um m you know, you you could stay in m the maternity ward, you know, four to five days. with your baby. And then By the ti ten years later, by the time I had my last child, y y y uh you you were only there two days, and you had to go home. And if you're in England They don't let you stay at all. You're just there to have the baby and they wrap you up and send you out the door.
Wow. You know, it's an interesting thing because I've had a number in them here that at Jog County Right to Life. We had a I've had a lot of uh over the years A women call Uh one in one in two. To have someone like a wet nurse coming to their house, looking for someone that'll come to their house and Deliver the baby? And the majority of the women That call were nurses that were nurses.
and they didn't want to have their babies in the hospital. Yeah, no kidding. I mean, you know, if you have your baby in the hospital, you know, they're well, I think Robert Kennedy has stopped that, you know, hepatitis shot, so they got rid of that. That's a good thing. Um, 'cause, you know, the first day the baby's born they were given the kids hepatitis vaccines.
Oh. Yeah, I mean, uh you'd only have to worry about that if the kid was playing with needles and being a newborn, I don't think that would be a problem. He's not going to be playing with needles. But um One of the things that really was astonishing to me is these millennials especially single women who get pregnant. They seem to try to time the delivery of their kid.
Um they take a trip over to uh Europe, one of the Euro you know, European Union countries. And um yeah, they'll they'll get a plane ticket. and they'll they'll stay at a modest place And, um, they're just You know, hoping and praying that their their baby comes while they're there because they can go to the hospital there. have the baby and there's no bill. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hmm. Yeah.
