of the Christian residence. Stay tuned. radio broadcast what's right what's left is coming up right now Uhm I guess I w I can talk. I don't know what's what's going on. It's a Are we are we on the air now, do you think?
You don't know if we're on here.
Okay.
Alright, folks, it's it's again. I expected this to happen Friday night. Friday night, I really expected. 'Cause that's when they usually strike. But, uh Now here it is.
They they waited and got me on Sunday. But anyhow, Uh just in case we're we're actually on here. I believe we are. The title of the message was Repent or Perish is not just a slogan. And so Uh And Pastor, just to give you a fair warning, I don't think I'll be able to co-host right now because we're still working on a lot of things.
Okay, very good. Um Repent or perish is not just a slogan. Yeah. Here the uh impetus for this sermon Oh, it was Is Because of all the All of what's happened in this last days, the rise in So many heresies, such as repentance is no longer necessary or required. on this universal salvation Uh this uh No need to tithe now is another when they're coming out that uh these are some of what the cults are bringing out.
And of course late uh You know, and these heresies are all over the internet. And then, of course, now you know you've got people. What just really makes me scratch my head Because they're talking about here in the face of the trumpets, which is is starts on September twenty second from uh sundown to September twenty fourth sundown Uh they're saying on the twenty third Of Rashi Shana, the rapture of the church is going to take place. No And there are even p reports of people selling their property selling their property and and take what are they gonna do with the money? What what?
What is the What would be the The reason to do that. I mean, it just doesn't make any sense. If the raptures ta gonna take place, well Anyhow Oh. The word repent, actually, the definition of that means to turn away from. sin and change your behavior.
Now there is a threat of the world today that It's so much worse than fentanyl, and in fact what's worse than even that new Drug that's even worse than fentanyl out there, it's killing so many people. As President Trump said. Uh We've had In America last year three hundred thousand died. It's a problem. illegal drugs and another two hundred thousand died from Well Legal drugs.
And so This is all just a you know, a part of The ongoing depopulation, New World Order Depopulation program. But anyhow This new threat Uh kills. not only the body, but the soul, for all of eternity. And I've given this Ultimate Maximus Threat A name. In fact, I've given several names.
Stupid? uh clueless, mockers, etcetera. Why? Such names because those that have embraced This behavior We're giving warning time and time and time again. and chose to ignore Those that were trying to spare them from a an eternity of such horrors as the Utmost sin I'm utmost in suffering and and pain.
And we're going to start tonight in Luke chapter sixteen. Starting with verse 23. And Anyhow here So we read. and in hell he lifted up his eyes, and being in torment, and seeth Abraham afar off, And Lazarus at his bosom.
Now, here's an interesting thing because we know that this is an actual. Event, an actual event, because in no other, none other of the parables at all. Were personal names mentioned? Just this is the only one. And here So he's telling you the Lord Jesus is saying Here.
Uh how Lazarus is mentioned, Abraham is mentioned, Moses is mentioned, all their personal names.
Now, you say, What about the rich man? Why isn't he named?
Well, the answer to that. Would be found in Proverbs chapter 10. 10. In fact, And then Verse 7 in Proverbs 10 and 7. Let me jump over there real quick.
Uh We'll read. The reason for that. And that is this.
Now the memory of the just is blest. But the name of the wicked shall rot, In other words, th they're gone, the names of the wicked will be re forgotten. removed and forgotten. And so He starts out. And he lifted up and in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torment.
and seeth Abraham afar off With Lazarus and his bosom.
Now, it's an interesting thing because here. He's talking about in Hades, uh It's a was a compartment that's Said to be in the pit of the earth's center. where the spirits of Unsaved debtor confirmed.
Now there's two there's two c compartments there. Are confined are condemned anyhow confined until the day of judgment. kinda bear with me. I'm still having some sight problems that I'm I'm dealing with. They were not free, of course, and and when Chris was a very good idea.
Christ freed the spirits of the faithful. Yeah. But those were still there.
Now Abraham. was afar off Now the two components were impossibly Um separated from Where impossibly, impassably, I should say, the word impassably. from each other. But they were within the range of mutual sight and sound. They also revealed that.
The disembodied spirit, sir.
Somehow, still recognizable and capable of communication, even though. Such a phenomenon are presently beyond our limited understanding.
Well, that's not the case today, that is no longer there. And so it as we see here And he cried and said, Father Abraham, Have mercy on me. said Lesworth. Then he made dip the tip of his finger. in water and cool my tongue, for I am Um Tormented.
these flames.
Now Here Uh when Abraham or when Lazarus begged for crumbs from the rich man's table, he begged for crumbs, he was totally ignored. And now He's begging uh Azerth to come and and just give him just a little bit of a temporal relief. But Abraham said, Son.
Now, by the way, You know, Abraham himself was a rich man, but What Abraham did with his wealth was totally different than this rich man.
Now, The very fact that this rich man was aware of Abraham, aware of Moses and all this, knew that He knew what the Word of God had taught on this, and And yet he failed uh to provide he failed to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, even though he was capable of doing that. And he looked the other way while the rich man suffered. But Abraham said, Son, Remember That thou in my lifetime Yeah. That one they live too. Receiveth thy good things.
And likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted. And thou art Twelve minutes. And Here, when it says remember the Amanation here informs us that memories will persist in hell and so also With eternal regrets and resentments. Um but see in heaven it'll be the opposite because all of the unpleasant thoughts and memories will be removed from you. They've every tear will be wiped away.
And beside all of this between us And there and you there is a great gulf fixed so that They which would pass from hence to you. cannot, neither can they, pass to us. that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thou, therefore, Father, that thou wouldst send him to My Father's House. For I have Five brethren that he may testify unto them Unless they also.
come into this place of torment, Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father, Abraham, But If one went unto them From the dead they would repent. And he said unto him, If they Hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they hear the Be persuaded, though one Rose from the dead, and of course, he was talking about the Lord Jesus Christ. as he rose from the dead and he preached the gospel and Here the nation of Israel, his own people. that he was sent to save.
They didn't hear him. The They rejected him, they ignored him. I wanna go to uh acts chapter seventeen. In Acts chapter 17. Verses twenty seven through thirty four And they That seek the Lord if haply They might feel after him and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.
For in him We live. And move? And have one have our being Uh It's certain also of you your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring now. an interesting thing because there are actually some poets that are mentioned there Uh in the scripture. And Those would be Huh.
Well I'm thinking though. Ep amen Epomendus was one Aratus the other and R3. And so he goes on in verse 29, he says, Insomuch as that we are The offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is likened to gold and silver Or stone graven art or man's devices now.
Now, this is the first of the three of the Godhead that, you know. That are mentioned here. The other two one is in Romans 1. twenty, I believe, and the others in Colossians. Two, nine and a Uh They end up s the saying the same thing And but the description is a little different in all three of them, the the terminology, but the message is the same.
He goes on to say. And the times of this ignorance. God winked at But now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.
Now What is he talking about?
Well, you know, prior to the Lord Jesus Christ coming. and preaching you had preachers that preach repentance preach repentance, you know. Uh Noah preached for a hundred and twenty years. When John the Baptist came. and preaching repentance.
But the very first time Jesus preached, he preached on repentance with Here They now that the Christ has come And he has brought the message of salvation. He's brought this message.
Now there's they have no excuse. No excuse, because now they've been clearly told, and this is what He's saying, Now that you've heard the word that the Lord Himself has come, and preach the gospel unto you. He said, Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world In righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained whereof he hath given assurance unto all men in that He hath raised him from the dead. And and here again Oh, well, he's talking about Raising him from the dead. Uh death has always been man's greatest uh Well Well, the enemy that's always had victory over men.
It's death. And so here And only the creators we're talking about only the creator of life himself, the judge who imposed the sentence of death. Because of sin can conquer death in the Here The founders and the leaders of All the Other religions and philosophies eventually die, but Jesus Christ is alive. His tomb is empty, He's ascended in his uh Resurrection body to the Father in heaven. And his bodily resurrection can be shown to be The best Proved fact of biblical history And it is a certain assurance that He is the Creator and Judge of all.
Lord of Ord and the King of Kings. And when they heard of this resurrection of the dead, some mocked. And others said, We well we will hear this we will hear this again of this matter.
So Paul departed from among them, Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed among them which were Uh Dionysus And The Ariel Pagate. and a woman named Uh Demers and others with them. And so here No. For those of us that that have studied scripture, and I mean Uh you know really Understand and take Take the Word of God. I mean, this is the most powerful thing in existence.
The entire universe was spoken into by God's word. And for those of us that Understand you know, have an understanding of the Absolute perfect Um accuracy of of the pure inerrant truth of Pre-existent. I'm near I'm the oppotent creation. The creator. For those of us that know what lies ahead For those that Uh well.
Today, there are those out there that are mocking God. They're mocking God by. Were these uh False. These heresies saying that that all sins have been forgiven and that Uh past that that everybody's going to heaven I'm gonna tell you. God is not mocked.
Uh his word. And he mentions many times about those that are twisting and spinning and and and taking his word out of context. And um Here We are To approach God was fear and trembling. As believers, not in fear of him doing us harm, but in fear that. See, God has expectations of us, and we have obligations to Him.
And the fear and trembling comes in the sense that. We will not meet God's expectations, and that's why we have to strive to do that. And here today as the Lord Jesus said in his very first time he he in his public ministry Either repent or perish. In fact, I want to go over to Matthew chapter 4. And I'm going in the wrong direction here.
It's been one of those days, folks. And in Matthew chapter four, before I go there. I normally don't do this on Sunday night, but I have an announcement because Uh it's it's taking place tomorrow. I won't have another chance to do it, but uh The Jougen County A tea party We'll be uh meeting And that's tomorrow night, September eighth, from six thirty PM to eight thirty. The Metzenbaum Center.
At eighty two hundred Cedar Road in Chesterland, Now this meeting will be about the Constitution and the rule of law. We've heard so much about national injunctions. Boy, have we. Lawfare, what they're doing with the Communist Party, and that's who we're dealing with. With all of this lawfare and what they're doing trying to stop President Trump.
And so, all this law for our president tripped moreover on our Constitution. The Ohioans' rights are at risk. What does this mean?
Well, our Ohio Constitution is a mess due to big money. Buying a voice in marijuana casinos on and on, what can we do?
Well, Matthew Hibbebrand. Attorney and Lake County uh mediator In the common law, Ohio Constitution, and how to best protect our rights. is our scheduled speaker. And so we are very pleased to have Matthew Hibern as our lead speaker. Uh and Matthew will be helping us to understand our Constitution And the US and both the Ohio Constitution better.
Matthew Hiverbrand, Esquire, is a mediator for Lake County. juvenile court where he has also been appointed a magistrate to preside over juvenile delinquencies and traffic. He serves As a trustee for Lakeland Community College and has served as an Assistant Prosecutor for Astabula County. He has litigated three cases before the Ohio Supreme Court. mister Hibibrand co-authored in Amica's brief to the United States Supreme Court in The similar case of Dobbs v.
Jackson, a women's health organization which overturned Roe v. Wade. And so This tomorrow. Again, And that's gonna be uh at six thirty PM at the Metzenbaum Center, The Ed Metzenbaum Center is located at 8200 Cedar Road in Chesterland, Ohio. And so I want to go now to Acts chapter 4.
And um No, I'm sorry, I'm in Matthew chapter four, starting with verse uh seventeen.
Well actually Uh Well, actually let me start in verse fourteen. that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Elias Isaiah is the prophet saying, The land of Zebulon and the land of Nephthalim. by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan and Galilee of the Gentiles. The people which set in darkness saw great lights, and to them which set in the region and shadow of death when light had sprung up. From that time on, Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent.
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
So Again, the very first time that the Lord uh began to preach, he preached on Repentance. all of the apostate and all the cults know Or now the Preaching again. That repentance is not necessary for salvation. The so-called word of faith movement has been preaching that for years. And now you've got all these other um Cults, I call them, you know, springing up all over the place.
Just like scripture said it would happen in the last days, they're coming out of the woodwork now. Who who knows what's coming next? I want to go over now to Uh Here would be Luke chapter 13. And And And I'm gonna have to take a wet my whistle here. Kenny can't be my co-host tonight because he's working trying to fix the problem.
But what if What if Kidding really was the problem. You know, folks out there Like Donald Trump had his deep state. You're trying to get me in trouble. Yeah. I could still hear you.
I mean I may have I may have my own deep state, okay? You know, Kenny could be Like a I am deep undercover. All right. You and Jemmy the geek? And uh The two of you.
Who knows? But anyhow Yeah, it seems like you guys are always around when when everything goes down, huh? What are you talking about? This is like the first time for me. All right.
Let's go over to To Luke chapter 13. Starting with verse one.
Now these were and now they were present at the season Some that told him of the Galileans whose blood pilot had mingled with her sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose you that those Galileans who were sinners above all the Galileans? because they suffered such things? I tell you nay, but except you repent, So all likewise perish. Or those Eighteen upon whom the Tower of Salome Phil.
and slew them. Think you that they were sinners above all, Um Men that dwelt there in Jerusalem I tell you nay, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish.
So Here Uh Repentance folks again. is absolutely required for salvation. Um there is absolutely no hope At all, for those that have heard the word of God. and refused to repent and call upon the name of the Lord. I don't know.
again, you know, once they've done that, once they've they've heard, there comes a time When It's over. Those that understand Read the book of Hebrews. It's a And yet It's becoming more and more prevalent and These are all signs in time signs, but they're all signs of the The uh time where We when when we read and 2 Timothy chapter 3, where it talks about the last day days, okay.
So it's all signs of the imminent return of the Lord. It's getting closer and closer. People say, well,. You've been saying that for years and years, Will. That's true.
But folks Believe me, when I was a kid growing up, I I would never have thought, I would never have believed back in the fifties that our society would be doing what it's doing today. that the sin would be so great as it is in America, folks. I mean, America is just filled with sin, child sex, trafficking, abortion, sodomy. you name it, it's, you know, it's got nothing on Sodom and Gomorrah here today. And so Again Repentance is more necessary today than it's ever been.
I want to go over to first or the second Corinthians. In 2 Corinthians chapter 7. We read this starting with verse 8 through 11. For though I made you sorry, with a letter I do not repent, though I did repent for I perceived that The same epistle hath made you sorry Mm-hmm. but for a reason.
In other words, Paul had written to him and he had had given them a warn it and he was telling em look you have uh much, much sin amongst you And that you've been priding yourself on um How how good a Christian you are, but you're not. And there's there's a lot for you to repent of.
Okay.
Well, that letter really upset them really upset them. And He said he's sorry that uh that it'll the letter upset them so much, but Uh he's not sorry that he hasn't that uh for the effect of the letter, because it it brought m them to repentance. He goes on to say Now I rejoice not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrow to repentance for you were made sorry after a godly manner, that you might receive damage and by using nothing. For godly sour worketh repentance to salvation. Not to be repented of But the sorrow of the world worketh death, Uh He's talking about there's a difference because Sorrow of the world is not sorrow into repentance, but instead it's the sorrow of the And in sorrow.
Of the consequences, the sorrows of their sin. Remember what the Bible says that the The wages of sin is death, and those that die unrepentant uh have eternal death. They're Um eternal damnation. And so He goes on to say. For behold This self saved thing.
that you sorrow After a godly sort. What carefulness is wrought in you, Yea What clearing of yourselves Yea. What indignation Yea. What fear ye? What vehement desire What zeal what revenge In all things you have have proved yourself to be clear in this matter.
And so here he's making a a point Well that and all those I mean, th these these were their sins. He's mentioning their sins that they had. Uh and so here now He brought him His letter His chastisement brought them to repentance. That was the whole point. And so I wanna go now.
The Second Timothy. Chapter two And I'm gonna t take a quick With my whistle again here. I got a new type of tea tonight. And in Second Timothy chapter two. Verses twenty-four through twenty-six.
And the servant of the Lord. Must not Drive But be gentle unto the all men, apt to teach and patient.
So, what he's talking about here, the word strive actually means to be quarrelsome, to be quarrelsome, or argument of. uh seeking to change the mind of of uh and your opponents by arguing with them Now there's there's a time for debate. And there's a a right way and a wrong way to do that.
Well Here What what you have we had a fellow that used to work help us in the ministry. And he started out good. And he would actually come out to the streets and with us when we would go out and uh save babies. I'd be out there preaching and and and that's one of the things I would be I preached repentance, you know. I preach heaven sweet and hell hot.
uh when when those women come in who are being told, well, It's legal, it's all right. And and the apostate preachers were actually telling these women that uh That uh Don't worry about killing your baby. Uh God'll forgive you, just ask him, right? And Anyhow Here I would tell him, here's what God has said about that. God has said that that's a transgression of His dominion when you destroy His image.
And that you deserve to die. If you kill your baby, you deserve to die. And that you deserve to burn in hell unless you repent of that sin and turn away. And see Preachers had had the courage to preach this message hot and heavy the way they should. Listen.
I we turned away a lot of these women that came down, have no problem t s thinking, well, I'm just going to get rid of this problem. If I get pregnant again, I'll do it again. And I actually had one tell me that she's already had six abortions, six killed six babies. And she said, I'm here for my seventh. I said, if you know you're killing your child, why in the world are you doing it?
She says 'cause it's my right. That woman That young girl At that time she's not she's a young girl now, she's still alive. And she was on a fast path to hell. fast path to hell without repentance. And so here now We read.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle and tall men. Be patient. and meekness instructing those that oppose themselves, if God peradventure, will give them repentance to the acknowledgment of the truth. That they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him. in his will.
Well, here We've had situation this guy was telling you about the Keman. He would he he did what you call body count um He had body count. Evangelism Where He would go and I mean uh of course the Mission number one is evangelizing, is bringing the gospel, and that's true. But what happens when uh There's times and you used to have to use common sense to do that. And there's there's other times when when people are not in not in the right mood at the right time to hear this.
And uh this guy would just continue to badger them and badger them until some some would Very quickly, say the sinner's prayer with the looks of hate on their face, just to get rid of him, just to pacify him. That's not the way you do it. I've seen those folks that have Uh they've been in a In the supermarket. They bet in in the line there. with with a a bunch of carts behind them, people waiting And they decide to They're gonna witness to Uh, the cashier.
Well This That's why gospel tracts are such a great thing, you know. There's a time and a place. You can always hand them a gospel tract with your number and say, Call me later, okay? Uh because what happens is if you try to pressure them The cashier will be looking around. She knows that, uh That if T if if the line keeps growing, she's liable to get fired if she's not doing her job.
And I've seen the very same thing happen in a restaurant. There's a time and a place to do it, but you you have to use common sense in in the right way. And here, He's telling them, don't try to badger people, don't try to to force her to argue with him Uh And that's, you know Yeah you have to you know, tell them witness and then Again, that's why gospel tracks are so great. Uh they've so many people have gotten saved because of those. And and then he says And that they may Recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by him.
at his will, well What does that repentance repentance is what will recover them and pull them out of the snare of the devil. That's what he's referring to there. And so Again, you you uh Hair. You've got this crazy, crazy mindset out there. I mean, this is pure lunacy.
uh teaching that repentance is not necessary for salvation. I'd I'd hate to be uh these people Um on that day, that judgment day, Yeah. No, and then And these so many professing Christians They fall into that category. Matthew chapter 7. These are the ones that are going down the wide road, not the narrow.
These are the people that Jesus will say. and that they depart from me, you worker of iniquity. I never knew you. I never knew you. And then I want to go over to Hebrews chapter 13.
Hebrews chapter thirteen, this is a very, very interesting passage of scripture because now. If you listen very looked very carefully and listened very carefully, And I want to start here in verse 1 seven.
Now in this verse seven He is speaking of the Old Testament prophets, the Old Testament prophets, okay. Uh and he says Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you The word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. And so Here But when we go now, this is verse 7. When we get to verse 17, it shifts, and he's speaking to. Today's prophets.
Now, we have prophets today. I'm a prophet today, but I'm a fourth teller, not a four teller. You see, the uh prophets of the Old Testament, they were foretellers. Today we have fourth tellers And our prophecy is every time I'm preaching a Bible and reading from the Word of God, this is prophecy, okay? And he says, Jesus the same yesterday Today of forever.
Now, Listen to what he's saying because he's making a statement there, okay? Uh Jesus yesterday.
Well Yesterday he created from the very beginning you know, if you go back to the Gospel of John chapter one, Or check um Yeah, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made were made by him. There was nothing made. And then that takes you over to Genesis chapter 1. That was yesterday.
Jesus Christ was The Lord the God Creator, the creating God. And then he he says And today, what what is he doing today? Um Here He's upholding, he's sustaining. Everything is being sustained by him today. the entire universe The entire universe is held together We're all held together.
Um Some years ago, especially back in the 80s, I used to have nuclear physicists on on the program all the time and And they were saying that there's only one ha d uh Actual Definitive answer And why Uh The system works the way it does Because according to their knowledge What is you have the atoms and the molecules, the neutrons, the protons, and all these things. There's a An unseen Silent force holding these things together, keeping them from just. and going out and exploding out into the universe. What is What is that that unseen Force That is a control. of our nu nuclear Yeah.
Mecular Well being. What holds us together? What sustains us? You know. And they said the answer to that is here in God's Word, the Bible.
The only credible answer to that is right here, what we're reading. And then here He says And today and forever.
Well, Here No, the Lord is going to make. Tomorrow. He'll make all things new again. And he's gonna He he will Again, continue to make things new. We're going to have a new heaven and a new earth.
So when he says Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and tomorrow There's a whole lot in that verse. Um Be not carried about with with diverse and strange doctrines Folks, boy, that is exactly What is happening today with all that's why I'm preaching his message here. No. I'm running out of time, so I'm just going to jump ahead. Uh To to the last verse, seventeen.
Obey them that have the rule over you. and submit yourselves For they watch for your souls, and they that must give an account. that they may do it with joy. and not with grief. Mm-hmm.
That isn't unprofitable for you.
Well Here now he's talking about today Prophets of today. Here. And Uh Well I I'm gonna tell you An actual real preacher's first of all, you got to. You gotta Find out who is legitimate and who's not, because there's a whole, like the Apostle Paul said. The wolves will come, okay.
And there are Many, many more apostate and false teachers out there today than there are true teachers. And so How do you do that?
Well, it's God's Word, the Bible. You read it, you study it, you'll be able to recognize those that are preaching. The Word of God, those that are preaching the truth. than those that are not And again, like I said it in Uh Jesus said That The wide road. Most of many, many will take the wide road.
but few will take the narrow road, okay? Many are called, but few are chosen many will come, but but few will enter. Again, he's telling you the vast, vast majority of people out there today that have a profession of faith. Do not have a possession of salvation. You have these people professing to be Christians The only time they ever pick up a Bible is when they get to church on Sunday, if if they go to church on Sunday, that's it.
They don't even pick up the Bible the rest of the week. The greatest source of wisdom, knowledge folks out there. And they'd spend very, very little time Uh in the ministry. Very little time in feeding the hungry, very little time in. clothing the naked You know so Again Now, you might say, well, I said this sinner's prayer and I got saved.
But no evidence there. We're out of time for tonight. And um I dunno what Kenny did and Jimmy to mess me up, but to morrow night it better be better.
So, until not to morrow, good night. God bless. And always, always ready. Keep. Fighting the fight.
