Cal, have you been amazed by Jesus? I have seen God do an amazing work, and my son, he called home and said, Dad, I'm giving my life to Christ.

A couple months later, he got out, and he's jumped in with both feet and has never looked back. Praise God. Yes, and he's not the same person. God has changed everything about him. He has restored everything about him. God has just done an amazing work in his life.

That's the Holy Spirit. That's the amazing grace of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Welcome to Truth Talk Live.

All right, let's talk. You've been amazed by Jesus. When's the last time you were amazed by his amazing grace? Why do we call it amazing grace? When I look at Mark 5, verse 42, a great miracle happened.

Jesus Christ raised a little girl from the dead. It says they were overcome with great amazement. Two foundational questions that will drive today's conversation with our amazing listeners.

It will be this. First, when have you been overcome with great amazement at Jesus, who he is, what he's done in your life? Number two, who has seen his mighty work in your life and been overcome with great amazement? Two big questions on one big day on Truth Talk Live.

I am Stu Epperson, back from the Religious Broadcasters Convention. What a time we had in Nashville. Thank you all for listening. Didn't have a lot of call-ins. Had a lot of great listeners. Had a lot of great guests who were just amazing.

I mean, it was just a great week, and we just talked to all kinds of folks. And we're back. It's Wednesday in the Word Edition of Truth Talk Live, and it's good to have Mr. Jumper in the hot seat today. Steve, put that right on your chin so we can hear you. He's got a good radio voice, too.

Steve Jumper from Memphis, Tennessee. Right on your chin. Now look, we're in the Word this morning. We're talking about amazing grace.

You said a few things. This was at Wednesday in the Word. We do this every week. We get together at all the darios. You say, which dario? Every dario, 8 a.m. Men get together and get in the Word.

There's a couple of the darios where women have a group, and it's just a remarkable time. And this morning, we were in Mark chapter 5, verses 35 through 43. And we would love to hear your testimony of how you have been amazed by grace, how you have been overcome with great amazement, or how others have seen God's work, and you're like, what happened to that guy? How could Steve Jumper go from being a straight-up business guy, willing and dealing, making the coin, to being a missionary, going door to door, canvassing the border, leading people to Jesus?

Jumper, what happened to you? I've been overcome with amazement, and what God's done in your life. We're going to go out to our friends in Granbury, Texas, and we'll be there April 19th through the 25th, 2024. A group of 28 missionaries are descending on 10 churches locally, and we will go out to share the gospel in partnership with them.

That's what we do at International Commission. We share the gospel in partnership with the local church. But my journey started in the Philippines in 2013, and it was amazing for me to see the gospel shared in Southeast Asia four years ago.

People that had never heard the name of Jesus, people that didn't know what a Bible was, they had no hope. But when you shared that gospel, when that Holy Spirit landed on them, it was amazing to see the weight that just came off their shoulders and their face, and they were a totally changed person when they received Christ. Wow. And I want to ask you about that. First, I've got to shout out Trevis and Trevon, Joey, George, Xavier, and Serace, who I was just on the call with. I was on an unannounced basketball court somewhere in North Carolina with a couple hours ago, and I promised them a shout out.

They're listening right now to The Truth Network. Isn't that cool? So welcome, gentlemen. Great balling with you. Sorry for the buckets I put up and the ankles I broke. Steve Jumper, there I was at Mayberry, 50 Miller Street in Winston-Salem, looking at a hot cup of their bean and bacon soup, looking across the table at a guy who just had all kinds of problems. You were going through all kinds of stuff. You were asked how you were doing. You were ready to throw up all over me.

And not that you shouldn't have problems. And we were praying with you, and it suddenly occurred to me, this cat needs to go on a missions trip. He needs to meet Chetwood. Chetwood was a wealthy guy doing great and running companies and stuff, and God took him to the mission field. It changed his whole life. So, Chetwood, somehow God got you all together. You went to the Philippines, and suddenly your big problems got real little because you saw a big world that had bigger problems. That is, know Jesus.

How about that? Yeah, and one of the things, after going on four different trips with Jeff and Jody Chetwood, I told them they had worked for International Commission for more than 20 years, and I said I would never go to work for International Commission. Because, see, as missionaries, we raise our own support and our own funding, and I'd never done that before. You don't want to go out begging for money, all your rich friends. You want to, you know, you kind of pull your own bootstraps up, right? Go work for the man and get the fair wage for a fair day's work, right? Right, and so I tell God I'm never going to go to work for this organization, and guess what I'm doing now?

I'm working for the organization. And it's neat how that has taken a turn for the kingdom and how God's used you in a mighty way and encouraged so many of us at church and in our Wednesday the Word group and in so many circles. We're going to dive into Mark chapter 5, verses 35 through 43. Nick, do we have time to read the scripture before we go into a break? We've got two minutes. That means we have time to read.

Jumper's got a good radio voice. Folks, this will be maybe the most important thing you hear on this show today, because it's going to be God's Word. Steve, read Mark 5, 35 through 43. Speak right into that mic, and then we're going to talk about these things when we come back for a break and how you've been amazed by Jesus.

Go ahead. While he was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid, only believe. And he permitted no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. Then he came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue and saw tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. When he came in, he said to them, Why make this commotion and weep?

The child is not dead, but sleeping. And they ridiculed him. But when he had put them all outside, he took the father and the mother of the child and those who were with him and entered where the child was lying. Then he took the child by the hand and said to her, Talitha, cummi, which is translated, Little girl, I say to you, arise. Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.

But he commanded them strictly that no one should know it and said that something should be given her to eat. Wow. Jesus overcomes death right here. We're going to get into this amazement. How have you been amazed by Jesus? Who's been amazed at your life? We can't let him read any more scripture, Nick, because the boss will bring him in to take my job.

What a voice this Memphian has. Steve Jumper will hear about his journey, called from being in the business world to being a missionary to the unreached world. 86634 Truth. How has Jesus amazed you? More Truth Talk Live on this Wednesday in the Word edition, right here, right now.

We'll take your calls. We'll jump deep in the Word. Why they laughed at Jesus when we come back, right here.

You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. We call it amazing grace, but sometimes we sing it like we are amazingly tired, and we're just kind of mouthing the words. How has his grace amazed you? How is the person of Jesus Christ—it says in 42 of Mark chapter 5—that they were overcome with great amazement? Who has been overcome with great amazement at the work of God's amazing grace in your life?

I want to hear a testimony of how you were just amazed by Jesus. I mean, I had a moment last night, Steve Jumper, who's with me. I'm Stu Everson.

This is Truth Talk Live. Steve is along the right. He's one of our Wednesday in the Word leaders. He's a stateside missionary, also goes abroad a lot with Global—what's it called? International Commission. International Commission. They go global with the gospel.

They're direct. It's a powerful mission statement for that organization. If you could narrow it down to a quick mission statement.

Ten seconds. What would you say that you do? Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in partnership with the local church.

I love it. And he's been to the border. He's seen some rough stuff. He's been rejected, about cussed out, that one fellow, and you just stayed there with him, and the Holy Spirit broke him down, and God saved him. I mean, just the stories you've told, Steve.

Yes. So I want to just get into this a little bit about how the Lord has amazed you. I was listening to a Don Francisco song. If anyone's ever heard the High Praise album, Don Francisco is the guy that, I guess along with Dolly Parton, popularized the movie. He may have written it. He's alive. I'm forgiven.

Heaven's gates are open wide. We hear Dolly Parton sing it at Easter every year, but he's one of the original guys that kind of put all that together back a long time ago. He's sang a lot of other things.

Acoustic guitar. Great guy. Great musician.

I listen to his stuff, and I got this High Praise, all praise music. I listened to a song that I hadn't heard in 30 years last night, and I just had a moment. I just was amazed by Jesus. The presence and the freshness of the Lord just hit me, and all my problems.

I went to this religious broadcasters. I came back, got a little bit sick from just rundown and all that, and just all that stuff just got small in the presence of Jehovah. It was just a moment, and this morning we talked about that a little bit at Wednesday the Word Jumper.

Perspective, right? Yeah, and I think I'm going to use a big word here. I think as God sanctifies us, as we're going through the sanctification process, we should be looking forward to heaven. I know I'm working on that.

I think you are too. The closer I get to heaven and have those moments with the Lord, the more precious they are, the more tender they are, the more loving they are. We've got a loving God. Yeah, so encountering his presence afresh. How and when, and when's the last time you were just amazed by the presence of Jesus? Overcome with great amazement. And who's been overcome with great amazement?

The miracle in your life walking around. It's fascinating in this passage of Mark chapter 5. Jesus Christ calms the storm at the end of Mark chapter 4. And really, the greater storm was his presence, because after the storm was calmed, they were exceedingly afraid. It was peaceful, tranquil, sunny, because the sea was just still as all get-out, but they were exceedingly afraid.

Why? Because they recognized that the God inside the boat was far more intense and awesome than the storm outside the boat. And it says they were in awe. So he calms that storm. Well, then there's a storm of demons that comes in the first part of Mark 5.

We covered that on this program on Wednesday in the Word edition of Truth Talk Live a few weeks ago. Then there was this disease of this dear lady who'd been plagued with a 12-year disease. And so here, she just demonstrates and calms the storm of the demons, the storm of the disease, and now we've got death, looking right at him. And while he was still speaking, verse 35, what was he speaking about? Well, that's the verse, the context.

Read the question on Context Jumper real quick out loud. The first one, what divine delay had just happened? Yeah, anyone had a divine delay? You were on your way somewhere, you get stuck, you help someone in traffic, and all of a sudden there's a miracle, right? Well, that's what happened with Jesus. He's on his way to Jairus' house to heal his sick daughter, and a woman touched—the only time that someone ever touched Jesus to be healed. Every other time, he touched the leper. He touched the blind man's eyes, the deaf man's ears. This case, he was touched by the woman. Great story.

Covered it last week in Wednesday at Word Edition. A little bit. I don't know, we were at NRB last week. I'm not sure we got into that. This is just a great story. This woman, she was unclean, shouldn't be touching a Jewish rabbi. The Levitical rites of the Old Testament forbade that, but she did. She was healed. And he says, daughter, for the first time he ever called someone daughter in the whole Bible. And that's what he was speaking. Well, in the middle of that, the people came from the ruler of Jairus' house and said, your daughter is dead.

Why trouble a teacher any further? So there's implications to you that they believe Jesus could heal. They knew he was a healer. They knew he was coming to heal.

But they're stopping and saying, you don't need to come anymore. She's dead. As though he can't raise the dead. That's next level.

That's 2.0. And Jesus Christ, maybe he can heal, maybe some of that's, you know, sleight of hand, or maybe some of that's who knows what. And to raise someone for the dead, Jumper, that's next level.

I'm telling you. And Jairus had to know that. Jairus had to be shocked.

My daughters did. What am I going to do? And he had to immediately been grieving. Maybe he was upset this lady interrupted. This lady, you know, she delayed, you know, like you're mad at that stoplight for delaying you getting somewhere you need to be on time. Or you're mad at a flight. You're stuck in an airport for a couple hours.

You know, one of my best friends called me in tears. He was stuck in an airport, missed a flight. Everyone that got on that flight perished. It was a flight that went down in Africa. He was bound to that flight and couldn't get on. And he was upset he was trapped in an airport for three hours, only to find out that he would have been dead if he had gotten on that flight.

So that was a delay. And he also got to share Christ with a whole bunch of people there, too. Now if God had wanted him taken to heaven, he would have gone to heaven at the time. But who did Jesus talk to? Verse 36. Jesus heard the word that these guys gave. Don't trouble Jesus anymore.

You know, the daughter's dead. He said to the ruler of the synagogue, Don't be afraid. Fear not. Everyone say those words wherever you are.

Wherever you're listening to Truth Talk Live right now, say those words. Fear not. Nick, can you say those words? Fear not.

I saw him. He mouthed those words. Fear not.

It's over 365 times in the Bible. It's a beautiful statement. Because the next two words are the reason we have no fear. Only believe. Where faith exists, fear cannot exist.

They're two incompatible concepts. And so Jesus says it to Jairus. He's basically saying to Jairus, you know, you came to me in faith. You fell down on my feet in faith. You asked me to come heal your daughter in faith. Suddenly you get this news she's dead. Where's your faith going? You know, don't fear.

Believe. And here the Lord of the universe is there. It's interesting that in Christ's presence, the people brought this bad news about his daughter, and they didn't believe God in the presence of God, right? And Jesus is saying, Jairus, don't make the mistake of these messengers who are trying to stymie your faith, right? So here you have Jesus.

He permitted no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John. So here you have the inner circle, you know, showing up. He came in the house of the ruler of the synagogue. He saw all the tumult, people weeping and wailing. They had this huge contingent of people. They pay these people.

I mean, the Mishnah says that even a poor person can afford someone to play the flute, right? And someone to sing a dirge, you know, to mourn. This was a big deal. And this is a little girl who died. So they knew she was dead, and they were singing, and they were carrying on. And this was part of, you have to budget for this, you know, part of the funeral procession. Yeah, Jesus is about to put them on the unemployment line again.

That's right. He's about to break up a funeral. And so he came in. He said, why are you making this commotion?

And the child's not dead but sleeping, which is obviously a euphemism for being dead, but also a little bit of a prophetic word that he's going to change the state of this little girl. And they ridiculed him. Why would they ridicule Jesus, Jumper? Isn't that something? And it wasn't the first time. It wasn't the first time.

And it wasn't going to be the last time. But it's interesting how they went from mourning, mourning, moaning, wailing, singing, and being sad and traumatized, to being laughing and poking fun and mocking Christ. He'd be mocked on the cross.

He'd be mocked all throughout his ministry. And here's a case of it right here. But the Lord of Life is showing up, and the mighty work he's about to do is going to blow all of them away and blow all of us away. We want to hear how you have been amazed by Jesus and his work in your life. And you can share that testimony after this break at 866-34-TRUTH when we come back with Truth Talk Live on this Wednesday in the Word edition. Hang on. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com Well, we're on right now. I'm Stu Everson.

This is Truth Talk Live. Josh, legendary sportscaster, Josh Cameron, our sister station. I mean, he didn't even wince, did he?

He didn't even take time to look at the notes. Josh, you said what? I said, when was the last time you were amazed by Jesus? What did you say? Speak into the mic.

Sunday! Okay. This is a guy that'll text me sermons, and this is a guy that was so fired up at his church, he invited me to go. Now, I'm a member of my church, but once in a while I'll sneak away and visit one of our Christian Radio Partners churches, and he's like, you've got to come and sit with me and see this and hear the Word. And I was amazed. It's God's Word.

When we stop being in awe of God, that's a real problem. You know, Steve Jumper's with me. This is Stu Everson. This is our Wednesday in the Word edition of Truth Talk Live. You know, we're parked in Mark 5, 35 through 43 right now, and I'm going to tell you something, friends.

I'm going to tell you something. You know, Philip Yancy wrote a book, What's So Amazing About Grace? We say these words amazing. Think about how we often use the word awesome, right? Oh, man, that hot dog.

That Dario hot dog. It's awesome, you know? I've got the little blue water right here in my hand. Awesome.

Mighty musket. Vintastic. We describe things that we love, that are delicious. You know, you're wearing your favorite sports team, right? Oh, they have an awesome game. I'll tell you something's good, too. Stu's Memphis Barbecue. It's awesome.

It is good, and I love it, and I love those ribs. But at the end of the day, there's only really one awesome thing, and it's really a person. You know, it's Jesus. And the common thread in these miracles, from when he calmed the storm, Steve, until he threw out those demons, the 6,000 demons, threw the legion into the hogs and, you know, drowned them, to when he healed this woman, until this miracle we're talking about today, you know, Jairus is this 12-year-old girl. I mean, imagine losing your 12-year-old daughter, and imagine having to give the word to Jairus. And imagine his reaction. He may have fallen down just in a puddle of tears.

He's just devastated. This is a little girl 12 years old. That's the bar mitzvah age. That's like the age of coming out. She's, at some point, closer to being a bride, closer to bearing children. You know, transitioning into being an adult. And he and his wife have groomed her and raised her and seen her go to Little League and all that stuff, right?

I didn't think about this this morning, Stu, at Wednesday in the Word, but I was a single dad for more than 10 years, and my daughter was 12 years old at one time when I was raising her. And she's right there. Yeah, you're thinking, man, this young lady, you know, is at this point, and you find out she's dead, and it says at the end of the whole thing, which we're getting into kind of like right now into the teeth of this whole story and this incident, it says they were overcome with great amazement. And so, at the end of the day, you can call anything awesome.

You can call anything your ride, your car, your, you know, wherever you live and whatnot. But at the end of the day, Jesus Christ takes your breath away. And every one of these people at the end of these episodes, these miracles, were in awe of him. Whether they were exceedingly afraid, whether they were just awestruck, whether they were quiet, whether they marveled, it says they marveled that this guy who was possessed by demons is now possessed by the God of the universe and going out and spreading the gospel to all the people that he used to terrorize. You know, it says, the Scripture says, and they were overcome with great amazement. It's interesting to talk about maybe the fact that who was overcome with amazement. Certainly the parents were overcome and the inner disciples were overcome because they were actually in the room.

But the crowd, the crowd was overcome with amazement. But they did, they actually know what Jesus had done. That's what we have to get down to is in our faith and our belief, you know, that Jesus died for us, man. He died on the cross for us and he took that place that we should be up there. And that is where you get overcome with that amazing grace that we just can't hardly understand.

When you stare the law in the mirror, when you stare your destination as hell, when you are bound, when you are given that guilty verdict by the judge of the universe to be cast into hell, and when you realize that that beautiful Savior took, bore your stripes on his back on the cross, took your sin, took your shame, took your blame, took your guilt and said, it is done and died in your place, there's something awesome about that, which is the greatest miracle. So we get into this, they laughed at Jesus, he put them outside and he got rid of them. And he took the father, mother, child, those who were with him, Peter, James, and John, we learned that earlier on, and entered where the child was lying, he took the child by the hand. What a beautiful picture of the gentleness of Jesus. He took this child by the hand. You know, just think about all the examples, illustrations, of God leading his people by his hand, his mighty hand, of Jesus when he used his hand to touch, to lead.

He takes Peter's hand when Peter's slipping, he takes his eyes off Jesus, Jesus reaches his hand and pulls them out, right, of that water. And that hand, Stu, that hand, Stu, that that nail would be driven through. The nail scarred hand.

I love it. So when you have that, by the way, in sign language, you do your middle finger to the middle of your hand, and that's the sign of Jesus. You know, like that, like that.

I think it's that. One of the fingers to the middle of the hand. And that's because you say Jesus that way because he had nail pierced hand. For us, only scars in heaven are the ones that he took for you and me, like that song. So his hands, gently taken hurt by the hand, which he violated the Old Testament ordinances in touching a rabbi dead to go near a dead body, and no one goes near a dead body to touch it. And he says, Little girl, I say to you, arise. Which could have been what the little Hebrew mom said to the little Hebrew girls to wake them up in the morning.

A very gentle word, like wakey-wakey, little girl, like one pastor put it. And it says immediately, Mark's favorite word, immediately, this is a book of action, the girl arose and walked. She was 12 years old age. She lived the same length of time that the woman was afflicted with this disastrous, deadly blood disease that no one could cure that bankrupted her, and she came to Jesus and he healed her.

Well, she was in that disease 12 years. This girl was alive for 12 years, and she arose and walked. There's a sign of life, and they were overcome with great amazement.

So, Steve Jumper, this story, what a powerful miracle. And I want to ask you, this girl was definitely changed. She was overcome with great amazement. Imagine opening your eyes after dying to see, look in the eyes of Jesus, and his hand and your hand, and your walking, and then he commanded, you know, he had them give her something to eat, verse 43, to show, again, another sign of life, and the tender care of Christ.

He cares, if he cares about feeding the birds of the air, he cares about feeding you, right? Matthew chapter 6, verse 31 and 32. So, how have you been overcome with amazement at Jesus? Anyone want to share? I'd love to hear a testimony.

Jumper's got a couple himself. How has he overcome you with his amazing grace? What's your story? What's your testimony?

Or maybe you've seen someone. Today we had a couple people share the accounts of people overcome by God's grace, and just changed by Jesus. There's no explanation of this person's life, except for only Jesus. There's been an intersection with the divine, an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. And for that little girl, and for her mom, and for her dad, really for Peter, James, and John, and everyone in that household, Steve Jumper, nothing would ever be the same after this divine work. He broke all the rules. Yeah, he broke all the rules, and he shows that he has power over death. So, who wants to call and share a divine encounter?

We've got a line open at 866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-7884. How have you simply been amazed by Jesus? How has Jesus amazed you? It can be something from how you were saved, it can be something recently, something he's done in your life. I can think of several, just in the last week, just in traveling, little prayers that he answered. Just little things that sometimes you think are even too trivial.

Nothing's too trivial for God. He cares about where you're going to park. He cares about what you're going to wear. He cares about who you need to connect with. He cares about getting you from point A to point B. He cares about, I got mad at my uncle and another guy, not didn't get mad, but they were my ride to the airport, or from the airport to where we were staying in a hotel.

And for some reason, our texts didn't connect to each other, and I didn't think they even got there yet, and I sat in the airport for a while. Well, God gave me a beautiful witnessing opportunity with an Uber driver who was searching for God. And got to tell them about the Christian radio station in that area, and got to give them my dad's favorite gospel track, which I have a bunch of. That's one thing I inherited. It's all his gospel tracks.

Some of his clothes, all his gospel tracks. And Jumper, my anger turned into answer to prayer, and it wasn't anger, but a little frustration. Like, oh man, this would have been so much easier.

They're going to the same hotel I'm going to, and we don't have to split a fee, and they rented a car. But God wanted me in that car to talk to that Uber driver about Jesus, about his son. And I could have been, and they were looking for, I mean, they were like right there.

It's like the way their heart was, they were right there in need to be talking to someone who knew Jesus. And so that's how he works. I was amazed by that. I'm like, God, you just knew.

You know, here I am angry, here I am upset, but you just knew. And Jumper, you can think of things in your life, can't you, where that's been the case? Yeah, so on the mission field, we have divine interruptions all the time.

I was thinking about, you're talking about traveling across the country. I'm amazed at God's creation. If you simply look around you, we're so blessed to live in the United States of America, and how organized our country is, and how beautiful it is, and the most beautiful thing I can think of recently was a trip to the Grand Canyon, and just God's mighty hand on his creation. But from the standpoint of overcoming and God's grace, there's an instance of divorce in my life, and my wife Charlotte, she experienced divorce, and God just brought us together, and there's a lot of redemption and reconciliation there. Yeah, where people said you were done, you're chopped liver, God's used you in a fruitful way to spread the word.

We'll come back with more Truth Talk Live after this. And your calls, how have you been amazed by Jesus? We want to hear your testimonies to lift him up today at 866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-7884. More coming up.

Don't touch that dial. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. How have you been amazed by Jesus Christ? How amazing is His grace? How amazing is Him? Is He Jesus? And how have others been amazed by the work of Christ in you?

And it's appropriate that my buddy Steve Jumper's in here today, because I've been amazed by him. I never thought, if I just said, I'm judging this guy by who he was when we first met, he was a struggling brother. He was going through stuff. He was beat up by life, custody stuff. I mean, we're not going to get into that on here, but it was like an ongoing thing, and at some point I'm like, wow, how can the Lord deliver him so that he's not defined by all this bad stuff, but he's not the victim, but a victor in Christ. And somehow God got us together with another brother. Somehow you find yourself on the mission field in front of a bunch of kids who'd never heard about Jesus, and all kinds of folks are getting saved, and your life now is in a whole different trajectory, Steve Jumper.

You're talking about a refining fire? That's what it was, too. And you saw it.

You were witness to it. And it was a journey, starting really in 2011 with a couple business mission trips to Russia, but then as we've talked about, a trip in 2013 with International Commission to the Philippines. And International Commission was just going overseas for 48 years. They just did their mission work and gospel, spreading the gospel internationally. And so all of a sudden, a little thing like COVID came along, and the leadership said, hey, maybe it's time to go to North America.

Maybe the United States is, the harvest is plentiful in the United States. And of course, over the last 50 years, our culture has changed drastically, and never before have we had the need for the gospel in the United States of America. With our churches, amongst our churches, our churches have drifted, and it's time that people get out of the pews and go tell about their faith, and not be afraid to tell about their faith. The church is in like a little corner, and as long as you do this, everybody's happy, and we can't go there anymore.

It's time to make a move and take back ground that we've lost. And I'm at a loss for words. I'm overcome with amazement, because the Steve Jumper I knew going back a few years back, not too many years back, was not about any of this. You would have come on a show. You would have come on a show and said, Hey man, listen, how can I get these people who've done me wrong, and this is horrible, and I'm not supposed to be a Christian, this has happened to me. And now you're mobilizing thousands of people across the radio, the internet, across Facebook, and all these places we're broadcasting, to go share the gospel. You're involved with this wonderful ministry. You've been all over the world so far. It's just so encouraging.

Tell us how you've been amazed by Jesus. We've got a couple minutes left. 866-34-TRUTH. We're going to go to a call.

866-348-7884. What a blessing. And let's see what Dave says in Sydney, Ohio. Dave, you're on Truth Talk Live.

Welcome. Hi. How are you doing today?

Hey, fantastic. How have you been amazed by Jesus? I have seen God do an amazing work in my son, Noah. He had a six-year severe drug addiction to methamphetamines, and he was incarcerated for a short time. And when he was incarcerated, he called home and said, Dad, I'm giving my life to Christ. So he did, and a couple months later he got out, and he's jumped in with both feet and has never looked back.

He's been clean for over a year and a half now. Praise God. That's the Holy Spirit. That's the amazing grace of Jesus. Amen. Amen.

And that's neat. That's a daddy who was praying for his boy, just like Jairus was praying for his daughter. I mean, look at the care of this man. This guy's a ruler. The rulers of the synagogue weren't big friends of Jesus. He comes in and starts healing unclean lepers in there, starts casting out demons. I mean, I can't imagine demons at church, right?

And these guys are like, get them out of here, man. We've never had this kind of life and this kind of thing. Here Jairus, risking all kinds of social cred and everything, walks in, walks up to Jesus, falls on his face, and just like you have no doubt, how many times have you fallen on your face, on your knees, with your family praying for your son, Dave? Asking God to do something. Yeah.

Knowing if God doesn't intervene, then nothing's going to happen. Yes, and he's not the same person. God has changed everything about him. He has restored everything about him. He just received a promotion at work.

Before this, he couldn't even hold a job. God has just done an amazing work in his life. Praise the Lord. A new creation, Stu. A new creation.

517. Yes, sir. Amen. Well, thanks for sharing that, Dave. Thanks for blessing a whole lot of other people. And we're going to keep praying with others as they have kids that have gone astray, prodigals, that they will come home and that God will restore that which the locusts have eaten, as we read the prophet Joel, in that there will be salvation that comes to that person, just like our brother Dave just shared with his son. What a blessing.

Let's go to Mike, another caller from Ohio, 86634 Truth. How have you been amazed by Jesus? How have you been overcome, to quote right out of scripture, they were overcome with great amazement. How have you been overcome with great amazement?

Go ahead, Mike. Yeah, there are so many things, and I thought I'd share with just a day-to-day. About five or six years ago, I was new to Ohio area, and I was learning how to do carpentry work here. And anyways, to make a long story short, I had to set some cabinets.

And back then, there wasn't Google or Internet or any of that. And I did never set cabinets before. And the guy says, well, if you can do curved staircases, you can set cabinets. And I says, well, I've never set cabinets before. And anyways, he leaves, and I sit on a bucket, and I pray to God, I say, God, I don't know how to do this. He's expecting me to do this. I was already honest with him.

I said, never set him. And God said, well, open that box over there. And I said, open that box over there?

What's that going to do with me? And so I went over there and opened up the box, and inside the box there was a book about two inches thick saying how to set cabinets. I sat on that bucket, and I cried, and I said, thank God. And he showed everything in how to set cabinets was in that book. Making a long story short, the guy came back, and he says, oh, I thought you said you never had to set cabinets before. Look at this job. This is the best cabinet job I've ever seen in my life. And God came through for me.

How about that? And there's so many of those stories that I could say something like that, you know. And if you're in relationship with God, and you're listening to God, and you're aware of God's presence, he will help you every day. And he's so amazing. He's a friend. He's not an enemy.

People want to make him an enemy, and he's not. He wants to be your friend. He wants to be loved by you.

And he wants to show you love. Mike, what do you say to someone out there that's just down and out? They're looking up. They're like this lady with the disease.

They've been everywhere. They've exhausted every medical thing. They feel beaten up. They feel abused.

They just feel like no one cares. What do you say to them? I said, trust God. He'll be there for you. Just lay it out there. Just say, okay, God, I'm yours.

I mean, what else do you got to lose? You know what I mean? What in the world do you have in the world that's going to help you or help you get day to day on any of this crazy world we live in? God's going to give you peace, give you hope, give you joy. He'll give you everything.

Just read the Bible, and that's what it says. You know what I mean? He'll love you. You know what I mean? I love that.

What about that, Jumper? What do you say to Mike? Yeah, Mike, one of the things my wife and I say to each other all the time is peace and joy. Peace and joy. So that's a wonderful thing, and I would also say that so many people think that God is mad at them or angry at them, and he's not.

He loves us and cares for us, and just like in our story today, he takes us by the hand and just guides us and leads us if we'll let him, if we'll trust him, like you said. Yeah, he does that every day to me. I mean, there's so many times that, you know, don't go out in the street there. Don't go out in the street and go, why?

Why? And all of a sudden, the car zooms by, and I'm like, oh, thank you, God, for not letting me go out in the street there. You know what I mean? It's like, if you're in relationship with God, God will be there for you. And that's the thing. It's almost like you can sing Amazing Grace, but are you living Amazing Grace?

So that when the song, the tune, comes out of your mouth, it's real. There's something that's overwhelmed me to the point where, there were a couple moments of this Religious Broadcasters Commission last week, during the preaching, during the music. I couldn't talk. I couldn't say anything. My dad passed in July.

This is the first Religious Broadcasters. Without him, I'm wearing his blazer. I'm around all these people who had not even seen me, hadn't been to the funeral.

A couple people didn't know he'd passed. And so some of them are hugging me for the first time, and Erica Metaxas is in the middle of doing his national show. He gets offset, walks around the security, walks around all the buffers and all the curtains, and gives me a hug. Like a tight hug. Like a lingering hug. And says, man, I haven't had a chance to tell you. I haven't seen you since your dad passed.

I love you, and I'm so glad he's in heaven with my dad, who passed a little bit after. That kind of wrecked my next five meetings. But also, it put me in awe of Jesus, who said, Lord, you wanted me to receive comfort.

And you can't give away something you haven't received. And so God gives you grace. God gives Mike grace. Mike just spilled a bunch of grace out over this national radio show, as did Sidney and our last caller callers, Dave and everyone else. And Stu, isn't God giving us grace with the fact that my dad passed away in September, and you and I have consoled each other, mourned with each other, grieved with each other, and man, we have felt the love of God and the love of Jesus Christ. Just the fact that we can talk about our dads. And they're together in heaven, and they're having a good time.

Hallelujah. Mike, thank you for sharing that, man. My dad passed away four years ago, as well, Stu. And you never get over it.

You just never do. But he was my mentor before, as well. And you just got to—again, he trusted God, and Stu, you need to trust God. Hallelujah. Amen. Thank you.

That's a good word. Mike, thank you for everything you've shared. Steve Jumper, thanks for being in, for being what you're doing with missions. Yeah, man. Stu, thank you for having me, brother.
