This is the Truth Network. Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye. It is my job this February 2. Six more. Four weeks of winter.

A girl! Six rooms. Mix a winner.

Well that's what the woodchuck said Mumbled something about his shadow And then crawled back in his shed There's a man These days, the nights are long, it's like I'm living in Dreams. But sometimes I don't know what is real. What is makes believe? Let's talk. Get hotter.

I can hold it in the morning. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind.

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.

So yesterday was Groundhog Day. You may not know that, but it was. And the one day when the little guy comes out to look for his shadow and decides whether we're headed back underground or whether spring. is on its way. Like Oh my goodness.

You know, that in itself, especially considering there's two different groundhogs and they had apparently two different experiences. We're going to get to all that as we have the world's leading groundhog expert with us. Dr. Date, the word cars, you might imagine he knows all about these things. But honestly, for a lot of us, right, like Bill Murray, it just.

It feels like That same day, we're living it over and over, and over the same struggles, same prayers, same places. Where nothing seems to change.

So today, again, this is a live show. We want to hear from you. Do you have a favorite verse? About seasons, about timing, about faith or breaking cycles, right? Like Bill Murray, like, how did he get out of a groundhog day?

A scripture God used you to help you move out of a long winter into something like raised to walk in newness of life after a long winter. What might that verse be for you? We would love to hear it: 866-348-7884-866-34 Truth. You don't have to quote it perfectly, you know, just share the passage, the idea. And, you know, Doc is like the world's leading expert.

We'll help you look it up and we'll have fun talking about it. But just think about the people that you could encourage. With your verse, 866-348-7884.

So, Song of Solomon, chapter 2. Right. There's this amazing verse. It talks about catching the little foxes that spoil the vines. And we don't know if those foxes were groundhogs, just saying.

But the thing of it is, they delay things.

Well, as I was growing up, groundhogology growing up on a farm. One of the things you have to know is how to take care of the Granhawks. And so It wasn't for my grandmother that she said, catch the little foxes. It was, Dwayne, you gotta get out there and kill the Grethawks. Not just catch them, kill them.

And we won't go into all the details, but I'm an expert.

So not unlike Bill Murray and Kaddyshack, you were killing varmints, right? But nonetheless, so the idea then with Grand Hog's Day. I always went back to Song of Solomon 215, just a great verse about catching foxes, because just like that Granthog is going to destroy things, foxes would Take those vines and cause problems, and all of a sudden, that which was destined for fruitfulness. is going to fail. And we have to protect that which is, let's call it valuable, really priceless.

And you know what's the most important thing of all is their testimony. And so catching those things that will keep us from losing our testimony. But now on Groundhogs. I again Weird things in my life. I'm a a Christmas baby.

My my mom Is a Thanksgiving baby. My dad is a mother. day baby. My grandfather was Granth Hog's Day baby. He was born February the 2nd, 1906, would have been 120 yesterday.

So every Grand Oaks Day was a big celebration. And so I got to know Grad Hog's Day. Yeah, and so if you're not aware, you know, just as a news item. Not that we put a great deal of stock in this, but especially since we have conflicting reports, that poxetani. Poxetani Phil apparently.

Did not. No, he did see a shadow. He went out there and it was a sunny day, and that would mean for the people of Pennsylvania that they're considering another six weeks. But the great news is, and we pass this on to a lot of people, is that in Ohio, there's another and they have their own groundhog. Buckeye Chuck.

Buckeye Chuck and he He did not. And it's always gray in Ohio. It's always scarlet and gray. That's so depending on how you want to look at it, it may be. But it You know I've always been intrigued by that verse in the Song of Solomon.

And it's so connected to the idea of spring. You may be aware that in the Song of Solomon, chapter 2. 2 verse 10, it says, Rise up, my love, for behold, the winter is past, right? Spring is coming. And then you have the catch for us, the little foxes.

It's fascinating to me that these things are connected and also connected to that movie in that You know W We live our lives And it does seem like, right?

Sometimes we're like the hamster, another rodent. caught on the treadmill. And we're just going round and round and round, and we're not making any progress at all. And sometimes, you know, teaching leadership, you got to get off of that. Right.

So there's verses that changed your life. You know, that's what we're hoping you'll share. That, wow, this verse convicted me of something that, oh my goodness, made an impact, right? And, you know, Lake Kabak. You know, the righteous shall live by faith.

It's like all of a sudden, oh, wait a minute, I'm trusting in myself. It's so convicting, right? That wow, I'm concerned about making a name for myself, or there's things like that, you know, like the stories in my own life when I realized, oh my goodness. And I'll tell you, a big game changer for me. in leadership was when I was running Crown Honda Volvo in Chapel Hill.

Um One day I came across the verse where Jesus was talking about the greatest among you will be the servant of you all. And all of a sudden I realized, wait a minute, running this and that particular organization had over a hundred employees. And all of a sudden it became obvious to me through the scripture that man What I'm supposed to be doing is serving all the people that work with me, right? Rather than them serving me or me being the big boss or whatever, I'm supposed to figure out how to get them what they need to be all that they can be. And it just completely, radically changed the way that I treated my employees and I thought about the relationship.

Like, man, how can I help you? you know, sell more cars. How can I help you do your you know Mechanicing better.

Well, what can I do for the parts department? All those things just radically changed on one verse that all of a sudden, oh, duh. Right. Well, what might that verse be for you? 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH.

Doc, you got one?

Well, um Thinking about the foxes that spoil. Um you know Friends. Uh You got to be so careful who your friends are. And um Psalms one verse one. was a game changer for me.

Um Blessed is man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scorner.

Well, as that verse was unpacked in my life, I began to realize my own. Wicked Dissent. I had listened. to friends Who said, hey, let's go do this. It's no big deal.

Don't worry about what your parents are going to say, don't worry about what the school's going to say. Then I started just hanging a rail.

Now I'm participating. I'm not just going one time to try. I'm really living this to the point where I became the one who was the scorner who was telling other people to sin. And when that verse got revealed to me, That I had to be careful of who I let hang around me. It made all the difference.

Yeah, there's an elevator store in this coming, I can bet on it. 866, how about. You are. How about your turnaround, right? Where spring is coming, where you saw some fruit.

866-348-7884 or 866-34TRUTH. We'll be right back with a whole lot more groundhogging. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Mm, but for now I got six more weeks of winner. Six more beef chicken stew He got licensed.

I make through, I'll be lucky if I begin. Yesterday was Groundhog Day. It was real every year, February the 2nd. If you're just joining us, we're talking about Groundhog Day faith. And when God says spring is here, but we keep living like it's winter.

So the Song of Songs says, right, raise up, my love. And then he wants us to catch little foxes.

So somebody listening right now needs that verse that God gave you to step forward, right? Call us with your scripture that helped you break out of the cycle and move into God's timing. 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884.

Something that helped you not have that Bill Murray Groundhog Day experience. Like it just something radically changed, and all of a sudden, man, and you could feel God's pleasure. Like when I was talking about that. When I was managing those people, I went from this strange feeling of being the boss to like, man, I could feel God's pleasure when I could really jump in there and help somebody. I love that story.

Good to great, we'll talk about the level five leader. And you're not out there for yourself, you're out there for them. And you know, we got the Super Bowl coming up. All these years, you look back on the greatest of coaches. They were not trying to make a name for themselves.

They were trying to get the best players in the right place so they could excel at what they do the very best. It's about others. which is a great idea for Philippians 4, 2.3. Which is today, by the way. We're not supposed to be about selfish ambition and we're not supposed to be conceited, pushing others down and pushing ourselves up, but esteem others better.

That's a good verse for a breakthrough. Um 'cause when you're all wrapped up in yourself, Robbie, You're a very small package. I resemble that remark. But nonetheless, when we left our hero dock. We're waiting on your story, by the way.

We would love to hear it. I mean, you know how I love your stories, especially your testimonies and your verses. 866-348-7884. The number to call in, 866-348-7884. Man, I love to hear your story, so please call.

But when we left our hero, Doc, I feel an elevator coming because he was hanging out with the wrong crowd. He was on the bad side of Psalm 1. And I'm thinking things are fixed to turn around. Unlike Samson with his foxes, things weren't catching on fire.

Well When it comes to friends. Proverbs 13, 20, if you hang around the wise, you'll be wise, but a companion of fools will be destroyed. And so I'm always looking for visuals to give illustrations. And I came across one standing on an elevator one day. There's a whole bunch bunch of buttons there.

You push that button, it'll take you up. You push a button, it'll take you down. And so I get on the elevator and I'll say people, Hey, folks, that that that that Console right there has all those buttons on it. I think it might teach us something. You know, your friends are like buttons on an elevator, they can take you up or they can take you down.

And unfortunately, you know. I think you've been on an elevator when I've done that. I know you have. I have been. That's how I knew the elevator story was coming.

There was no doubt about it. But earlier today, when we were discussing this idea, you were making reference to one of the worst pieces of advice ever given in the Bible. Yeah. And the consequences of it are. Mind blowing.

Yeah. horrendous. We tread carefully here for our listeners, but one of the worst stories ever in the Bible is 2 Samuel 13. And there's a guy by the name of Ammon. He's the son of David.

He has a brother named Absalom. He has a sister, half-sister named Tamar. And Ammon has some wicked thoughts about his sister. and has a friend named Jonaday. Jonada.

This friend Can tell something's wrong with Ammon. That's a good friend. Hey, what's wrong? What's going on? Ammon tells him what he's thinking.

At that moment Jonadab should have, well, quite frankly, slapped him, punched him in the face, and said, Boy, you are just stupid But no Jonah Dab goes and tells Ammon how to do something This could be detrimental, horrible in the life of Tamar, And um He's gonna rape her. He set A trap. Johnny Dabb's advice was to set a trap. And Ammon was able to have his way with his half sister, And then Absalom became so mad. One, because his dad didn't do anything.

Secondly, he couldn't believe his brother had done this to his sister. Then Abson kills Ammon. And I read that story so many times I said, what happened to Jonadab? He gave bad advice and then he went home. And that's why, folks, you got to be so careful of who your friends are.

You got to be so careful of who sows that seed of it's okay when it's not okay. That's the fox that has to be caught. Yeah, and uh but you know, as a good friend, I I wouldn't adva advise punching people Went a little off the road.

Sometimes you've got to get their attention. Truth and love, by all means. I had some friends that punched me and I punched them, but maybe that was before Christ. But, you know, okay. Yeah, I get it.

I get it. I really would have been some decisions I made in my life. I wish a good friend had punched me. You know, that would have been. In love.

In love. Speak the love. Punch the love. But I don't know. Biblically, there's some issues there.

But anyway, we got Mike is in Dayton, Ohio.

So Mike, you're up there with Buckeye Chuck. And so I understand that you guys are not going to have the winter they're going to have in Pennsylvania. We found that. Praise the Lord. You know what I mean?

Oh my god. Because right now it's been pretty bad, hasn't it? Oh my gosh, I I'm tired of I feel like I'm on a snowblower all my life, but you know, my hands are out in front of me and I just want to push it, you know. Oh yeah. Um Uh I I want to share uh I want to share a dream that I had last night.

I thought it was, you know, given from God, and it If you people don't think dreams are given from God, I'm sorry, but I. Pray that God gives me good dreams and He gave me a good one last night. Um The dream was about it was a real r it was a real life thing that my dad would take us on to a park On a path, and we would Go on a hike, and we would come across these bridges, and me and my brother. Would stand on the bridge and wait for my sister to cross it. And as my sister crossed it, we would jump up and down.

and um make it shake and she got scared and And uh, you know, she would run across the run across the bridge. Later on on the hike, uh My dad before uh my sister went across the bridge, my dad whispered something to her. And we're standing on a bridge and I'm we're both looking at each other, me and my brother, and my sister comes up to on the bridge and she starts jumping up and down. And me and my brother start re rerun away. It's like, oh my gosh, uh You know, she she scared us.

And um I think God gave me that story or that vision again from what happened in my childhood is because. In life, we come across these bridges. And um And God's the one that makes the bridge. strong enough for us to cross. But we're the ones that have to trust the bridge so we don't get scared to go across it.

And it's sometimes life is like you're worried about tomorrow or you're worried about the next step in life, but I don't think you really need to worry about it too much. because God's the one that made the bridge and you can stand on it.

Well, we have got some discussion to do. When we come back, we need your story about when you got a verse or something that helped you went from. Spring, I mean from winter to spring. 866-348-7884. We'll be right back.

Stay tuned. Truth talk lying. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Six more weeks of winter Six more weeks of winter Uh Six more weeks of middle, six more.

So it was Groundhog Day yesterday, and welcome back. You know, we're thinking about. You know, winner is A season that God gave us, amazing season when you think about it, that Um the ground gets cold. That the germs might go away and that things might rejuvenate. You know, we don't realize how valuable this snow on the ground right now is to the system.

And God thinks we need it, but yet. Spring is coming and You know, there is fruit, and there is that verse that talks about catch for us the little foxes, because you know, the situation just simply is spring is coming, but. The little foxes can delay the fruit if we don't mind. Our situation. And again, the Bible's there to convict us, help us to get more fruit.

When we left our hero Mike, he'd had this dream. interestingly, and he he was talking about how that led to him Right. Having more Faith that and and less worry. Right? And so as you were describing that, Mike.

I couldn't help but think of Romans Which talks about You know That it that it's faith to faith. And and I got to tell you a cool story, Mike. Just a couple hours ago, I was recording a show finishing well with Hans Scheil. And he has been reading through the Bible for the last few years and somewhat of a new believer, especially a new disciple, as he's really been trying to study the scripture. And he said, Robbie, I can't tell you.

He said, Mm this trip Through Genesis has been so much more, he said, it's so much more exciting than my last hip through Genesis. He says, Every time I get through it, it just gets better and better and better. He said, Because I'm not fighting these things of, you know, this can't be real anymore. He said, I now completely believe God did it in seven days, so I now have the ability to look at the story rather than fight off this other idea. And so he was going from faith to faith.

Right, and when I was thinking about your dream, as I was also thinking about Hans's story earlier, right, that You know, based on your faith and the people you witnessed to and all those things, um. You know, I hate to think think think that we sometimes You know, like the prophet Elijah, we get set back and we get to worrying. Right? It's great. Um Yeah, um Yeah, I think uh you know the The illustration maybe or or why why God gave it to me as well is um is that You know, the devil wants to jump up and down on your bridge.

And he doesn't want you to go that direction that God wants you to go. And he wants to scare you away from what God wants for you to do next, you know, the next season. You know, um, you know, you don't want to just live life like a groundhog day. It's just like yesterday. That's horrible.

With God, He wants to move you on to new and new and new adventures and new strengths. He wants to move you on to, He wants to. uh redeem you. I mean, he wants to change you. And by doing that, by allowing God to change you.

you're able to um you know Get closer to him, and by getting closer to him, you get yourself changed again. That's right. It's beautiful. The 2 Corinthians 5:7 is coming to mind for me. We are to walk by faith.

not by sight. And you you I I've got to be able to see everything clearly. Before I make the next move, that's not going to be the journey. You read Hebrews 11, you don't find Abraham. uh being able to tell his family where they were going.

Because he went out not knowing where he was going. Every time someone said to him, Are we even close? Are we there yet? He said I don't know.

Well, when would you know? I don't know, because I don't know. I don't know where we're going. I just know I'm supposed to be going. That's wonderful.

That's wonderful. Well, you got a story, maybe you got a situation. That you want to get past. Maybe you need a verse. Doc's got a bunch.

Believe me, he knows it's amazing what he has as far as all the dates coming up. You call us 866-348-7884. We would love to hear your testimony. 866-348-7884. So there in Ohio, how much snow did you get over the weekend, Mike?

Over the storm apocalypse. Yeah, it was like I would say 23, 20, maybe two foot of snow. We got. And um it was pretty You know, it was pretty good. You know, you know what I read about it?

This was an amazing storm, and I somewhat did a sermon on it that. On Sunday Wizard. I did watch that. Oh, good.

Well, thank you. They called it a cyclone bomb. Which is a little different than the just normal nor'eastern, which it was. But it was really a fascinating thing from a weather standpoint. If you looked, there was nothing on the radar.

It like f you know hours before the storm hit. And so you couldn't see the storm coming the way that you normally would. But if you were looking at the wind and I began to look at the wind, there were three low pressure centers that were down below South Carolina. And the wind Was almost swallowing itself when you watched it down there, like it would swirl and then kind of go into this almost enveloping itself. It was the most beautiful thing you've ever seen from a standpoint of just looking at it.

But oh my goodness, you know, what it did, especially unfortunately for a lot of folks on the Outer Banks area of North Carolina and those in the east, where you know, I understand that at one point, you know, they got five inches of snow in like 20 minutes. That's unreal. And 70 mile an hour winds. It was a storm. And then it was followed here, Mike, by I think the coldest day that's ever been recorded in that day in North Carolina was nine degrees.

Well, it was six degrees at my house this yesterday. Or was it six? I'm sorry. It may have been three. I forget what the exact number was.

But yes, ma I think it was three degrees at some at some place. And in North Carolina, Mike, that's pretty cold. But well, how cold was it up there?

Well, it got down to seven below. Minus seven. Minus seven at one point for three days in a row. If I'm not mistaken, it was like three minus three most of the time. And um so yeah, it was it was horrible, you know.

Um Yeah, um it I wore so mark so many clothes and so much stuff. To go to work, it was, I felt like that guy on Christmas story, you know, the kids as you walked. I saw a lot of those. A lot of people were sending those pictures like, man, people looked like they were hunting wabbits.

Well, Psalms 147, 17, you need a good verse on the cold. It says, Who can stand before his cold? I tell you, when God lets it get cold, yeah. It gets rough. Who can stand before him?

That's beautiful. Thank you, Mike, for your call.

Well, hold on. Yeah, okay. Yeah. I got Dr. Carson's book in the mail finally.

And oh my gosh, it was beautiful. It's a beautiful book. If you haven't got it, I think it's on his website. Go on his website and buy it. Yeah.

Oh, I'm not just promoting it. I'm loving it. And you're welcome. And my wife. She started reading it with me, and we're reading it together.

And it is beautiful. Day to day, we're reading it together. And I like it how it has, you can write little notes on the side and stuff. It just is wonderful. It's a beautiful book, well written.

We need to catch up for all the dates, but we're going to do two a day, and we're going to catch back up to the first of the year.

So we can't wait. It's really a great book. If you haven't got it, I would get one. I'm telling you, it's a blessing. It's a devotional, right, Doc?

It's a devotional. Yeah. Date the word daily devotional. And we have a devotion on every day, like today, BN 2.3, Philippians 2.3. And we talk about putting others first.

And Mike, thank you so much for that. If you're interested in listeners, go to www.date the word.com and it has a place right there. You can make a purchase and we will send the book to you. And I'm going to even bet if you just put date the word.com in there, you'll get there. Yeah, date the word.com.

Yes. It was really simple. I got it really fast. I mean, it was really cool. That's awesome, Mike.

God bless you. Thank you, my friend. Thank you. You have a great week. 866.

We need your stories. Man, I was hoping for something that, man, it radically changed.

Something that was, you know, seemed like you were living Groundhog Day over and over and over. And all of a sudden, here came this verse here. God did something that, man, is like, whoa, if I just understood this idea before. 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. Yeah, I very seldom a whole movie.

I'll catch pieces here and there. And if my wife's listening right now, she'll go, yes, he tries to watch five movies or shows, football, all at the same time. But last night, I decided, let's watch this Grand Hog. Movie Grand Hog Day. I've never watched the whole thing, but I have watched that part where He's walking, talking to a guy, something about selling insurance, and then he goes to walk away and he steps in a hole of.

Ice water. And I mean, that first time he steps in, it's just unreal. You could feel the pain. The next day, he does the same thing. The next day, same thing.

The next day, same thing. And then He realizes Hey, wait wait a minute. Don't do that. And as I've taught through the years, how to get victory over temptation. One of the things about getting victory over temptation is you got to quit going in the same location where the hole is.

Well, we got Glenn is in Dayton, Ohio. Glenn, you're on Truth Talk Live. Yeah, hi. I just wanted to share a a story about You know, earlier somebody mentioned something about a dream And I had a dream experience I I had uh come to Christ And um I'd ask God to give me a dream. And he gave me this cream.

I was 54 years old and I was in a first grade classroom. And the teacher told me that I need to go down to kindergarten. This is about three months after coming to Christ. And I go into this kindergarten classroom and The teacher asked me if I had my two assignments, and I said no, and she gives me this scornful look. And Um, I wake up, and so I knew this was a dream from God, and I was missing two assignments.

So in this one experience, I I'm here. Hang on, Glenn. We got to go to a break. And boy, we want to know about you too. We got to find out what these assignments are so we come back.

And we also need your story: 866-348-7884. Your verse that took you from winter to spring. We'd love to hear it. Call us. We'll be right back.

Truth talk line. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Uh Mm-hmm. Mm mm, but for now I got six more beats of winner. Six more beefs of chicken stew.

Ain't got a license stomach too. I've been lucky if I make it through. And Ground Dog Day was yesterday and You know, as we're thinking about spring, what in your life has helped you make that transition, you know, to a new life? A verse would be wonderful, or a story, 866. Uh testimony 866-3487884-866-348 7884, and we left our hero Glenn.

Yes. He had recently come to Christ, and then God had some assignments for you, Glenn. Yes, yes, he did.

So, as I said, I was, God gave me a dream. I was in a first-grade class. The teacher told me that I was in kindergarten, which is God's sense of humor. He was telling me, You don't really know nothing, Junior. Get down there to kindergarten.

And so I get into kindergarten class, and the teacher asked me if I have two assignments, and my two assignments, and I said no. my first day. And she looks at me scornfully. And I wake up. And so I knew this dream was from God, and I knew I was missing two assignments.

and I didn't know what they were.

So fast forward, Two weeks from this dream. And I'm at my dentist getting my teeth cleaned with a hygienist that I'd never met before because this was a new dentist. And as I close my eyes, as she's cleaning my teeth, God reveals those two things from. Right. there was assignments I was missing.

One of them was to pray with people And the other one was to be baptized. And I opened my eyes and I said, Oh my gosh. And she goes, What? I said, God just gave me an epiphany. And she looked at me like I had two heads.

She goes, What? And I said, God just answered two questions I had, and I w went on and I witnessed to her. And I told her at the end of the witness, I said, God loves you, and I know God loves you because God loved me when I didn't love myself. And she completely broke down. Tears, turned her chair away from me, said, I'm sorry.

I said, No, you're fine. I'm feeling God this whole time. And she asked if she can give me a hug.

So I I take off my blue bib. I go around her, she gives me a hug, and what I found out, she had recently lost her brother, and I think she was feeling some doubt about God.

So there's more. I mean, so um so I can't I don't know what happened in that room exactly, but I go I can't wait to get out to my car to thank God for what happened in that room. And as I'm praying to God about this experience, I realized that that hygienist was the kindergarten teacher in my dream. She had this kind of curly, crazy. Hair and these real pretty blue eyes.

So, in that one experience, I learned. That uh You know, I needed to get baptized and I needed to pray with God. He wanted me to pray with people. And I think that's a message for all of us. But I also learned that God was outside of time.

So that just gave me because He knew where I was going to be in two weeks. I didn't know where I was going to be. I was just there, you know. And He, He. Revealed those things to me while I was in her presence because she needed to hear.

Something, right?

So I got the total. The question I'm sure is on everybody's mind, Glenn. I know it's on mine. Is did you pray with her? You know what?

I did. I prayed with her. uh right after and it was awkward. I'll bet. I'll bet.

Because you are a brand new believer at that point in time, and it is awkward. But nonetheless, I'm proud of you, right? You're obedient to. what you felt God was leading you to do, which is and were you baptized? I was baptized, yes.

And I was baptized a few months later. And um You know That's very important. You know, God put it in a dream and compelled me to be baptized. And Just to God know me experienced God being outside of time, which that wasn't the first time. And probably won't be the last time.

It's just a great comfort to me and kind of leads you from, you know, like you said, from the winter to the spring, knowing that, you know, who's waiting for you around the corner? God's waiting for you around the corner. We don't know where we're going, but God knows where we're going, right? And He's going to be there waiting for us. Yeah.

What a precious memory. You know? And like you said, from faith to faith. you know, clearly it's it's it's very scriptural, right? And I was there somebody discipling you at the same point in time, Glenn, to help you know you needed to get baptized as well?

Or was that just something God brought to your heart? That was well, you know, I thought I had cancer and a few months before and um I didn't have cancer, but my symptoms said I had cancer, and that got me to a point of just reading the Bible to find out if God was real, if God could love a sinner like me. And on this verse, Romans 8:31, therefore, what can we say of these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? God flooded me with His Spirit, and it felt like true love.

And so from that point, on I've read the Bible every single day. That's that would be uh january eighth, Uh my true birthday. Um Twenty 22. And so it was just four years ago, right? Like you just had your four-year-old birthday.

Yeah, exactly. And I got a dream about, I mean, I found out about that during it. I asked God because I didn't know if it was the seventh or eighth, and God gave me a dream about that. And um To to let me know that it was the eighth. And so has God brought a somebody to disciple you since then, or you found a church and that kind of thing?

I'm in a church. It's a very small church. I basically just read the word. Every day. I don't really have a mentor, so to speak.

You know.

Well, let's pray right now. Let's do that. Let's just pray, Doc, that the Lord will send somebody to help disciple Glenn and come alongside him. Lord, I thank you so much for Glenn. I thank you for his wonderful testimony today and for the way you've worked in his life.

It's absolutely spectacular, actually. And we just pray that you would bring somebody to come alongside him, Lord.

Somebody that would. That would have the background and the scripture and the training that he needs to make his next steps, like that school teacher, you know, somebody that would come alongside him and that would really impact his life. Again, I thank you that you've put so many people like Dr. Carson like that in my life. And, Lord, I just pray that you would bring people.

Into his life that would really help disciple him. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Thank you. I appreciate that.

I love your show and I thank you for the kind words and a kind prayer.

Well, Glenn, you know, I give verses for every date, and we use those for birth dates, but for spiritual birthdays, Wow, you've got four great verses. Daniel 1-8, where Daniel's going to purpose in his heart, but Joshua 1-8, I just couldn't help but think of Joshua 1-8 for you. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. And you're in the Word every day.

That's the Holy Spirit will be teaching you, my friend, first John 2:27. And then Acts 1:8, but you will receive power to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, Samaria, to the uttermost parts of the world. And who knows how far God will take your testimony now?

So, was it? I just had some date confusion. Did you say that it was 1-8? That was your birthday? Yeah, that's when he got my spiritual birthday, my actual birthday.

Is 8:15, which if you look at read Romans 8:15, oh my gosh, that's the verse I would have given you. You've been adopted. That's one of my favorite verses. When I got saved, Romans 8:15, I circled, highlighted. I'm now from an alien to being adopted into the family of God.

That's beautiful. Absolutely. Spectacular, Glenn. I got to tell you, you know, it never ceases to amaze me how God has some amazing listeners to Truth Talk Live. And you guys call in and share stuff that I'll be thinking about all week, Glenn.

God bless you, man. We've got assignments. I appreciate it. I love it. I love sharing my testimony and my story.

And, you know, our job now is, you know, God wants us where we are while we're there. But our job now is to know Christ and make Christ known, right?

So that's why I try to do that. Trying to what he's preaching, Robbie. Yes. I'm four years old. That's the assignment.

Know him and make him known. Absolutely. God bless you, my friend. You have an amazing week as well.

Alright. 866-348-7884. We got a minute or two. We'll fit you in. As always, I am blessed out of my socks by the truth talk listeners out there.

And so, Doc, again, it was fascinating. We came up this idea of Song of Solomon and Groundhog Day. You know, it's amazing. God, right? He prayed.

Well, as we were doing the taping a while back for. the date the word moment, um that two fifteen, you and I Just stopped here and talked about, again, how important it is to guard your testimony. And uh you've got to be proactive. You've got to be able to protect that which is precious. How do you do that?

Well, you got to be proactive, intentional, and guard your steps, guard your mind. Proverbs 4 talks about so many times, guard your heart. But guarding the heart is guarding the eyes, guarding the ears, guarding your mind. And you know, one of my favorite things about the Pilgrim's Progress, I don't know if you remember, how Christian kept his testimony in his bosom. Right.

And and and the one time when he was going up the hill of difficulty and he lost it. Right? And he went back to get it. It's a fascinating study of how important it is from my perspective to not only guard your testimony, but to write it down. Yes.

If you can write it down, and obviously, what an amazing thing they maybe even share. Uh with your family a written Testimony.

So they went, I wonder what that, how great-great-grandpa came to faith and where it is, it's written as you did it. We're hoping with the date that we're daily devotional, people will use that journaling part. My date with Word. There you go. I love it.

I love it. Well, thank you all for listening. You have an amazing Tuesday. We'll talk to you soon.
