This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth is. I can't hide it. A daily program powered by the Truth Network.
This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. What are your goals for 2026?
Or what are your new year's resolutions for 2026? And especially when it comes to the spiritual realm, and I've got a Bible verse for you. This is Michael's wick, but I've got a Bible verse in Philippians 3, and it's verse 12. It says, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which I also am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to apprehended, but this one thing I do.
Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark. for the prize of a high calling. Of God in Christ Jesus. And I tell you what, if you're going to do anything great for the Lord in 2026, if you want to be used as the Lord's vessel, you've got to have some goals. And so, yes, you know, a lot of people think, well, I want to lose weight, or I want to get in shape, or I want to eat healthy.
And they may say, well, that's not necessarily a spiritual thing. Or is it? You know, the Bible says in the book of Proverbs, it says that when you eat meat or when you drink or anything that you do, he says, don't become a drunkard or a glutton. It says, because when you do that, it says you will end up in poverty. And so I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to end up in poverty.
So this year, if you're drinking too much in excess or you say, I've got an extra 60 pounds that I want to lose, yes, that's a good goal to have. But it's also a good spiritual goal as well. Because when you obey your parents, and I've got my eight-year-old son, Michael Jr. here, but when you obey your parents, You're serving the Lord. It's not just you're doing the right thing for your parents' sake.
You're actually doing right unto the Lord, as it says in the book of Ephesians.
So we want your calls: 866-34TRUTH, 866-348-7884. And I believe we've got a Mike Shreve. Out of Tennessee. Yes, I'm glad to be on the call with you again today. Yes, sir.
And you were telling me you've got Mike Shreve Ministries. Is that right, Mike? Shreve Ministries is the name of the umbrella organization, so to speak. Uh but we have several other things underneath that that we're very occupied doing, uh including a publishing company called Deeper Revelation Books. Deeper revelation books.
And I actually first saw you on Sid Roth at Supernatural. And I've seen you all over the internet.
So I know you're definitely doing the work of an evangelist. And you've got some big things that you're already doing, Mike. But one of the things that I've always heard is this: the best always want to get better.
So, in other words, if you're really not doing anything right now for the Lord, there's a good chance you don't want to do anything or you don't care to do anything. But those who are doing great things for the Lord, like you have for the past how many years? I have been ministering for 54 years, coming up on 55. And you're how old right now? I am 74 years old.
74 years old?
Well, you know, a lot of people in your position could say, hey, I've done some great things over the last 50-some years. I've really done a lot for the Lord. I can just kind of sit around right now and relax and rest on my laurels. But are you saying you've got some goals for 2026, Mike? I am more passionate right now than I've ever been about having global impact.
And we have tools now that Paul did not have. Paul said, forgetting those things that are behind. You quoted that scripture, and that means not only forgetting the bad things, the hurtful things, the harmful things, but forgetting the accomplishments of the past and not just indulging in a sense of satisfaction over what you already have done. but dismissing all of that, seeing the need worldwide and going after it. And right now, we've got the tool of the Internet and of course, radio, which you're using right now.
And we've got the tool of creating websites and outreaches that can reach around the globe. And I have a couple, one's called the Truelight.net. It's an outreach to people of a Far Eastern religious background or they're committed and involved in yoga and Eastern religions, Buddhism, Hinduism. And we've had over five million people come to that website. But that's not enough.
There's millions of others out there that are still locked into spiritual darkness in those areas. And then we just opened up a new website The Catholic project is what our outreach is called, and it's to CatholicswithLove.org. And we started out real small because we didn't advertise a lot, but now we're seeing fifty to a hundred people visiting that website every single day, and many of them Spanish speaking because the whole website is in Spanish. But see, I've got a vision. Spanish and English is not enough.
There's hundreds of other languages. That we need to be reaching out to language groups that we need to be reaching out to. And so, yeah, the vision is burning, brother. The vision is burning. And one of the things that I hear you telling me, Mike, is you said, Yeah, you've done a lot of good things in the past.
But I remember what Larry Bird, the great basketball player, said, They asked him, They said, Do you know what your statistics are for this season? And he said, No, I don't. He said, Whenever I'm looking at what I've done in the past, I'm not focused on the next game. And so, yes, you're saying that you are keeping up. God has been doing a lot of big things in and through you.
But you said, even though you're 74 years old, it's not over yet, and you're excited about what God is about to do. And one of the things that I like that you said, Mike, is you said, we have tools at our dispensal these days that the Apostle Paul would have loved to have had. We have tools at our dispensal that Peter, Paul, all of the other folks as well in that day would have loved to have had. And I actually saw something online, Mike, and it was a guy who died in the year 2025 and he went to heaven and he met the Apostle Paul and he said, oh my gosh, are you the Apostle Paul? You're amazing.
Wow, this is awesome. And the Apostle Paul said, yes, it's me. He said, what was it like to live with Jesus? And what was it like to do all these things? And the Apostle Paul said it was great.
It was really good. We had great times. We were sharing the gospel. And he said, hold on just a second. The Apostle Paul said back to him, did you die in the year 2025?
And the guy said, Yes, why? He said, Oh my gosh. He said, What was it like to be able to pull out your phone and share a gospel message on your phone and immediately be able to share that message with dozens, hundreds, thousands, millions of people all across the globe? He said, What was that like? And the guy who died in 2025 says, I don't know, I just looked at videos of cats online.
So here's the point. We have tools at our dispensal. We have the opportunity to be able to share the good news of Jesus Christ, not only in person. And by the way, that's awesome. We need to be doing that.
But we also have the ability with our phones, with the internet, with social media, to be able to share that same message all over the world. And Mike, I hear that's what you're doing. Is that right? Absolutely. And in fact, just two weeks ago, I had a person who was a Swami.
A yoga teacher for thirty years involved in Eastern religions. And she gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. And so there's a harvest going on. And we need to Commit ourselves to the harvest, and feeling inadequate or incapable is not sufficient. That should be not a deterrent.
But an incentive to do whatever is necessary to train yourself. To educate yourself, to deepen your knowledge of a certain subject, or enhance your ability in a certain area so that you can reach Muslims, so that you can reach Hindus, so that you can talk to that person behind the counter at a gas station that embraces a completely different religion than you do. I've witnessed to many Hindus in many gas stations that told me I was the first person to ever talk to them about Jesus, and they'd been in the United States for 10 years or five years, and that's pitiful. with the kind of Christian population that we have, I think people need to ask God in the coming year to fan the flame of desire to win the lost. within their heart.
Absolutely. A a tepid church doesn't carry about care about the law. Absolutely. And we'll be right back after this message. 86634 Truth.
866-348-7884. And we've got Mike, and we've also got my son, Michaels Wick Jr. Unplanned. What are your new year's resolutions for 2026? What do you want to accomplish for the Lord in 2026?
What are some goals that you have? We want to know 866-34TRUTH-866-348-7884. And I've got my son Michael Jr. here with me. I've got Mike Shreve on the phone.
And I know Mike Shreve is excited because my son is only eight years old. But I tell you what, my son Michael Jr., I'm very proud of him. He is out there going and sharing the gospel with me, handing out Bibles in the streets with me. He's not afraid. Let me ask you, Michael, how hard is it for you to do that?
Not hard at all. Not hard at all. And so when you go out with me, because you're eight years old, right? Yes. Yep.
You go out with me. What do you do? I hand out life books. You hand out life books, which contains the Bible in it. You've been saying, Merry Christmas, Jesus loves you.
And I'm here to tell you today: if my son Michael Jr., who's eight years old, can do this, you can do it too. In Matthew 28, at the end, right before Jesus was going to leave, he said, Go and do everything that I have taught you. Everything that I have taught you. Here it is, Matthew 28, 18. It says, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. And Michael, get into the microphone. But you said this year, how many chapters were you going to read of the Bible each day?
One a day. One a day. And you said you were going to spend some time in prayer. How much time in prayer were you going to spend each day with the Lord? Three minutes.
Three minutes each day. Hey, you know what? And I'm going to tell you something. To some people, that may not sound like a lot, but I would rather him say, I'm going to read one chapter and spend three minutes in prayer each day and start there and be able to hit that. And then later on, as he goes each day and he does that, I'm sure that time in the Bible and in prayer will also raise.
What do you think, Mike Shreve? I think you've got an awesome son. Amen. I'm really touched by his fervency, and you can tell he's real. He's sincere about it.
And that is fantastic. He is, and I was just reading it not only in that, in Matthew 28, but in Mark chapter 16 as well, Mike. And in Mark 16, it says, And Jesus said unto them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe.
In my name, they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick. And they shall recover. And so, you know, our whole goal of sharing the gospel is not just to see cool things happen and see people get healed. But what I also said is Jesus told us that these signs will follow us, in other words, that these signs, people look at these signs, man.
I was hurting, my back was in excruciating pain, and you prayed for me in Jesus' name, and my back is feeling better. This thing must be real. And what Jesus said, Jesus even told this to the Pharisees: He said, if you don't believe me for the words that I speak, he said, believe me for the works that I do. And so, what I'm saying is this, Mike. If Jesus needed these signs in his ministry, how much more do we need them as well?
And I know you've seen these for a while, right, Mike? Oh, yes, praying for the sick and expecting God to heal. has been a part of my ministry from the very beginning. And we've seen amazing things, marvelous things happen on the streets and open-air crusades and church revivals. God still heals.
And you're right. The scripture says God confirms the word with signs following. It's not about Individuals, ministers of the gospel, receiving attention to themselves. By ministering healing, it's about the confirmation of the word of God, irrefutable proof. that the gospel is true when God follows it up with a healing with a deliverance.
I've seen it over and over and over again. It does. And when ye say that, I'm reminded of James chapter 1. It says, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations, knowing this, that the trying of your faith Worketh patience. And Mike, I don't know about you, but there's been times in my life where things were going really well and God was doing big things and I was excited and it was awesome.
I loved it. But I can tell you too, Mike, there's been other times in my life where the enemy was really coming at me and I faced some tough times. And what I realized, looking back over all of that, that's where I received my greatest growth is when the Lord was improving me, when the Lord was increasing me, but a lot of times he had to humble me first. Have you seen that? Oh, yeah.
Let's go share a quick word from Psalm twenty-three concerning that. And this really fits in with your emphasis on vision. Because I ask God to lead me whenever I have a devotional in the morning. As to what to read, and a number of years ago, I felt impressed I should read Psalm 23. But this thought hit my mind, I could never get anything new out of Psalm twenty-three.
But I read it anyway, and I got one of the greatest revelations God's ever given me. Uh, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. But then All of a sudden, something changes. You get to the line, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.
And man, it hit me. that the he becomes thou. The God afar off becomes the God who is near at hand. It shifted persons, and I'd never seen that before. And it happened in the valley of the shadow of death.
And that's when God spoke to me and said, That's where I meet you. That's where I come to you. When you feel like you're dying mentally and emotionally and spiritually, and you feel like you're washed up and. and your life is in a mess. That's where God shows up.
And the next thing you know, he's preparing the table before you in the presence of your enemies. And so I agree. When you're going through tough times, that's attractive to God. God gets attracted. to it and it empowers you to help others.
And maybe that's what vision is all about. In 2026, let's have a vision not for personal growth. But a vision to help others grow and help others become what they need to be in Christ. Amen. I remember Zig Ziglar.
I first started selling insurance and I listened to this guy named Zig Ziglar and I said, oh man, this guy's a little cheesy. But there was one thing that he said that I really took to my heart. And he said, you can get anything that you want in life. He said, if you help enough other people get what they want in life. And somebody told me one time when I first started selling, and I said, I'm not selling anything.
This is not going well, whatever. And my boss told me, he said, Mike, he said, you're never nervous. When your mind's on service, and so as long as we're focused on ourselves, what can I get out of this? What, you know, what am I gonna get when I do this? What am I gonna get?
Me, me, me, me, me. You're looking at the wrong person. We look to serve Jesus number one, and then we serve others second, and then finally ourselves third. But was also looking at James 1 and verse 5. It says, If any of you lacks wisdom, it says, Let him ask of God that gives to all men liberally and upbraids not, and it shall be given unto him.
But let him ask in faith nothing wavering, for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea. driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable. In all his ways.
And so sometimes I think we think, oh, we're not standing in faith, it's not a big deal. No, it says it's a really big deal. It says it's a really big deal. We've got to have faith. And so we've got a Frank out of Burlington, North Carolina.
You got to comment on the topic, Frank? Yes, I do. How are you doing, Mike? First, I wanted to comment about Michael Jr.'s goals. Which were excellent because we don't have to sit there and say, Oh, I'm going to read for two hours and crave for three.
Well, you set yourself goals that are too high to achieve, you're going to set yourself up for failure.
So, setting up reasonable goals that you know you can do easily-that's the best way to get started. Then you'll find yourself saying to yourself, Well, I've got more time than this, and you can always add on. But when you set yourself a high goal right from the start, you're going to cry for more. That's it. Thanks for the call, Frank.
All right, we are back on Truth Talk Live. This is Michael Zwick. We are in the second half of our show. We've got Mike Shreve on the phone, and we've got a Todd from South Carolina who wants to make a comment on the topic. Are you there, Todd?
I am here, Mike. I am here, Mike. How are you, brother? I'm doing great, brother. What part of South Carolina are you out of?
Charleston, you know me, Mike. This is Todd Jordan. No, no, no, I know you. I just forget where you lived, man. I know you said you were working today at you were getting off at four, but well, let me ask you this, brother.
What are your New Year's resolutions for the Lord for twenty twenty six?
Well, I'm actually going to make declarations and decrees for the Lord this year. We're going to decree and declare we're going to have our children home. You know that part of that story. And all parties involved at that will be restored to that as well. We're going to decree and declare that our financial would continue to go and be more blessed so that we can bless others.
That's the most important part of having blessings and financial aspects is to be able to turn and give to others. That's more important than have it for your pocket. And also my own personal goals are to stay in the Word, stay close to the Lord as I can, and to bask in His presence as much as possible.
Well, I tell you what, buddy, that's some pretty good goals. And it sounds like you know exactly what you want. You know, it's I think it was Zig Ziglar who said if your goal is nothing, you'll hit it every time. And so it's good to have goals for ourselves and stuff that we want to do, but especially when it's going to impact the The kingdom of God. And I know Mike Shreve has been part of the healing ministry.
And did you have a near-death experience years ago? Is that right? Me, yeah, yeah, so I'm Joe, go ahead. No, were you referring to me or referring to your other? I was referring to Todd on that one.
Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, I did, yeah.
So I had a stroke of 1055 days ago. I could not walk, I could not talk. I had a small vision of Jesus Christ's face. And yeah, man, so uh yeah.
So I can walk, I can talk I definitely can talk. You hear me on the phone. And uh this is just a small little uh small bit of dexterity and uh lacking in my right hand, but it's slowly, slowly progressing back. The four, four, four. Healing, and I trust and believe the Lord will bring that manifestation of healing in his time.
Yeah, and you've you've actually gone through your own personal deliverance, is that right? And it had a pretty extreme deliverance.
Okay. Absolutely, man. Absolutely. So a lot.
So That's a s that's a conversation for a different time.
Well, it's good that you've got your goals set. And I know you said you had Anna with you as well.
So I want to wish her. She's actually not with me. I'm still waiting for her to pick me up.
So I had to go in. I don't want to miss the hour that you got on the radios. I wanted to give a call to you and just touch base and. I got you, brother.
Well, we'll keep you in prayer and stick to those goals, brother, because I believe 2026 is going to be a big year for you. Not only you, not only Mike, not only myself, not only Michael Jr., but I believe this is going to be a big year where the people listening right now who are not on, who are not on the phone right now, who are not on the radio, it's going to be a big year for them as well.
So thank you for the call, Todd. And Mike, what do you think about that?
Well, I do think it's going to be a tremendous year. We are building up to. a confrontation In a good way. between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. The World Economic Forum has set twenty thirty as a year of accomplishing their goals globally which will include some communistic ideas.
But I believe God's going to outwit The strategies of the enemy. And I believe a harvest is about. To unfold before us of unprecedented proportion, and we need to. Avail ourselves of it. Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no vision, The people perish.
And I've always preached that that's a two edged sword. It's not just talking externally, but internally. If I have no vision, there are people I could have potentially reached and impacted and helped to bring change to. That Will remain the same, untouched, unchanged, unaffected by the gospel. But not only did they perish, If I have no vision, there's a part of me that perishes.
That part of me with potential, that part of me with Christ-like passion. For the lost those parts of me die when I fail to cultivate vision. Because if we do that, if we cultivate vision, it's automatically going to make us Do what Jesus said to do, which is to occupy until he comes. He, while he was here, said, I am the light of the world. But then he stepped out of that.
position and went back to heaven. And he said, now you're the light of the world.
So we have to occupy that position of bringing light to a generation that's surrounded by many. dark influences. And we can make a difference, and we can make a big difference. But it's good to have a general vision. It's better to have a specific vision, to have specific areas that you intend to improve or to enhance or to initiate in order to accomplish specific goals.
Then it's more achievable instead of just having a general idea that you want to. Do more for God.
Well, specifically, get down to business and decide what you're going to accomplish. Amen. And and Isaiah chapter six. And in verse 5, he says, Woe is me, for I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. For mine eyes have seen the king, the Lord of hosts.
Then flew in one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. And he laid it upon my mouth and said, Lo! This hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also, I heard the voice of the Lord say, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I, Lord.
Send me. And that's what we all need to do. See, I think sometimes, Mike, sometimes we get caught up on all the mistakes that we've made or all the times where we've messed stuff up and we feel like the Lord can't use us. But Isaiah, right there in that passage, said, Lord, I'm a man of unclean lips. And the Lord didn't come back to him and say, No, you're not.
You're fine. He touched his lips with coal and he was forgiven. And then the Lord said to him right after that, he says, Whom shall I send? And Isaiah says, Here I am, Lord, send me. And we ask a lot of people that.
I ask a lot of people to come out with me and pass out Bibles. And there's a lot of adults who are more capable than my eight-year-old son, Michael Jr., but they say no. And so I'm proud of my son because he's answering the call. You know, I would rather do something badly and figure it out than not do something at all. See, we see people like Ray Comfort.
I just did an interview with him, and I said, how did you learn, Ray? And he said, by failing again and again and again. And he said, and finally I figured it out.
So we think these people are just naturally gifted and they just kind of float around and it's so easy for them. But Ray Comfort also said to me, Mike, he said, a lot of times when I go out there to share the gospel, he said, I'm scared to death. But see, courage It's not the absence of fear, Mike, but it's the willingness to charge on in spite of that fear. What do you think? I like that.
I like that. Absolutely. And uh I've always said this to Michael and uh Sounds like we're just bouncing off of each other with the same name. We've got Mike, Mike, and Mike in the studio.
So there you go. Yeah. I've always said that if you want to see what your calling is, look back and look forward. Look back at what God has delivered you from, because quite often That was a lesson learned in life that will empower you to help someone else. Because if God ever delivers you from a certain pit, or a certain type of darkness.
It qualifies you to reach someone else that's caught in the same trap. And so it's not always head knowledge, it's experiential knowledge that equips you and imparts power to bring change in other people's lives. And of course, that's true with me personally. 54 years ago, I was caught up in Eastern religions. I was a teacher of yoga at four universities.
I was running the yoga ashram. I was steeped in Hinduism. But then God miraculously brought me into the kingdom through a number of Of happenings that had to be divinely orchestrated. But now I have an ability to reach people of that mindset. That maybe others don't experience in as much.
Finesse or perfection of being able to voice things a certain way, word things a certain way, because I've come out of that mindset, I've come out of that worldview. And so I'm equipped to reach somebody else Who's caught in the same web?
Well, I said all that to say this. Everybody listening to this radio broadcast. Has got some kind of testimony, and your testimony is that the means of of imparting to others hope. That's what God did for you, He can do for them.
So find people. Make a a supreme effort to find people that are bound by the same things you used to be bound by. If it's alcohol, that was never my problem, but if somebody listening was an alcoholic, then go out of your way to find alcoholics. And share with them the hope that Jesus has given you of being delivered from that sin because whatever you come out of is an empowerment. to reach somebody else in the same pit.
And so I pray that you take that with you into 2026. and let it be a motivation. Let it be a motivation to reach the people that you are specifically equipped to reach. Amen. And the Bible says in Hebrews 10, 24, it says, And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.
And so, what that tells me is that when you're going out there and you want to hand out Bibles or you want to share the gospel, it's good that you want to do it by yourself, but I would encourage you to. to find like-minded believers. Excuse me. Who will actually go out there and do it with you? Because the Bible says that iron sharpens iron.
And sorry, Mike, I'm losing my voice. Go ahead.
Well, I agree with you because back in the seventies and the eighties, I used to run a youth group. that built up to about three hundred young people that would travel with me during the summers. We had a big gospel tent that went from one city to the next. There in North Carolina, we did it in Gastonia. We did it in a couple of other locations.
And those young people would canvass the streets every day and be in church together every night. And it was fabulous because they wanted. to be true disciples. And a true disciple Is not only someone who's been trained by the Lord Jesus Christ, but someone who assists. in spreading his teachings.
A true disciple is going to do everything possible to spread the revelation of who Jesus is and what he came to do. And we need to utilize the tools, like I mentioned a while ago. We've got the Internet, we've got Facebook. Back for the last segment. Of this topic.
What are your New Year's resolutions? Or what do you want the Lord to do in and through you? And Frank, I know the last time you had called in. We kind of got cut off by the end of the break, but are you there, Frank? Are you there?
Well, I guess not.
So we've got Mike there. Are you still there, Mike? Yeah, I'm still here. Oh, there you are, Frank. Go ahead.
Yeah. I just wanted to add uh that Probably a good a good suggestion and probably one of my resolutions too is to make a schedule. To make sure that I don't forget to pray for everybody whose name I add to my prayer list. Because there's a lot of people with special needs of all kinds, whether it be jobs, healing, all kinds of things they're asking for. And so I'll put them on a prayer list.
But if I'm just going to put them on the list and not pray for them, what good is that?
So I think a good thing to do is to make a schedule to pray. And this way, You know that you have an appointment with God. And you're going to get together and speak with God and ask him, make his requests known to him from other people, because we're told to pray for one another. That's that's where I wanted that. That's good.
Well, thank you for calling back. And I think it is very important that we need to be specific in our goals because, you know, when I first started selling insurance, they told us, they said, be careful of weasel words. I said, what are weasel words? They said, weasel words are words that you use where you can weasel your way out of something.
So, in other words, you've got a goal of sharing the gospel with so many people. You've got a goal of reading the Bible so much each day or praying for a certain number of people or each day or writing it down or scheduling it. But what you can do to get out of that is you can use a word like, I might. Or I'll try to do something like that. Because when you use those words, when some when I asked somebody to do something and they said I'll try or I'll see or I might, I know they're not going to do it.
Have you seen that too, Mike Shreve? Yeah, well, attitude makes all the difference, brother. Attitude makes all the difference, and sometimes we destroy our own fruitfulness or potential fruitfulness. by self-degrading, self-limiting words. I I tell people, uh They need to learn the concept of WYSIWYG.
WYSIWYG. And of course, they'll say, well, what is that? I say, it's an acronym, WYSIWIG. What you say is what you get. And if you say I'm going to I'm going to fix a schedule and stick with it this year.
A prayer time, a Bible study time. I'm going to. Try to win one soul every week. Then, what you say is what you get. It's an important rule to go by.
That's very good. And one of my favorite little poems or poetry or whatever you want to call it is Attitude by Chuck Swindall. And it says: The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every single day regarding the attitude that we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing that we can do is to play on the one string that we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are Are in charge of our attitudes.
And I've got my son right here, but I was reminded of a story that I heard years ago. They were trying to figure out the impact on kids and on their attitude. And they had one kid who was really positive. And they had another kid who was really negative, Mike. And so they said, we're going to take each one of you into a room and we're going to do a test.
So the first test, they put the kid in the room and they said, okay. You've got all the toys. You've got all the candy, everything that you could play with, anything that could be fun in your life. We're going to give it to you. And they gave that to the negative kid and then they left the room.
And the second kid was a really positive kid and they put him in a room full of manure.
So about 10 or 15 minutes later, guys, what happened is, is they went to go see the kid who was really negative in the room full of toys and pony, everything that a kid could want. And he was just sitting there with his hands crossed and his arms crossed. And they said, what's wrong with you? They said, we put you in this room. Room, there's all this wonderful candy in here.
Why didn't you eat the candy? He said, I might hurt my teeth. They said, There's all these games, there's these bikes, there's these things that you could play with. Why didn't you play with them? He said, I might fall down and hurt myself.
And so, after a couple of minutes of this, they said, Well, We've had about enough of this as we could have. And so they left that room and they went into the other room where the kid who was really positive was, but the room was full of manure. And they walk in the room and the kid was just slinging the manure everywhere. And they said, what are you doing? You're in a room full of manure.
And the little positive kid said this. He said with all of this manure in there, There's got to be a pony in here somewhere. There's got to be a pony in here somewhere. And I'm telling you something right now. You may have some tough, no, you probably will have some tough times happen in 2026.
If you make your mind up and you make a decision that you're going to start to pray to heal the sick, you're going to start to do deliverance, you're going to share the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord, you better believe that the enemy is going to try to throw everything at you. that he can throw. But the Bible says that a righteous man falls down, but seven times he rises again. And so, how are you going to respond when you have those tough times? Are you going to have a positive attitude?
You know, one of the things that I see is this. Is that if people who wake up in the morning, there was one guy who woke up in the morning and he said, Oh God, another day. But there was a second guy who woke up in the morning, and he said, Thank God for another day. Let me ask you this. Which one are you?
Which one are you? We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord who loves us. And I know, Mike, that you've had to fall down a few times, but you've risen up again. Is that right, Mike? Well, we all stumble through life, but we learn from our mistakes.
I've always told people the past. Is a wonderful teacher, but a horrible prison warden. You can't live in the past, but you can learn from it. And I I would just urge everyone To just take the substance of what you've communicated on this program today. and use it for fuel in your tank to get to a location you need to get to spiritually in twenty twenty six.
because you've given us a lot of fuel. in order to be empowered for the coming year. And I also urge people: if you've got Catholic loved ones, Catholic friends, send them to my website, 2catholicswithlove.org. Or if you have new age friends or people involved in yoga in your family, send them to thetruelight.net. And together, maybe we can just help bring them into the kingdom in 2026.
That's right. And you have a YouTube channel as well, Mike. Is that right? Yes, uh youtube.com slash Mike Shreeve Ministries. That's Mike and then S H R E V E.
Mike Tree Ministries. Yeah, you know, I was reminded that there was a little boy one day, and he was going to be a great gymnast, and he was practicing and practicing and practicing. And so, one of the things, one of the days, he finally had his first event. And right before the event, he went up to the coach and he said, Coach, he said, I'm sorry, but I can't do it. I'm too scared.
I'm too nervous. I'm just going to have to leave. And I'm not going to do my routine today. You know what the coach said to him, Mike? Yeah.
He said, throw your heart over the bar and your body will follow. Let me ask you something right now. Yeah, yeah. Let me ask you something right now if you're listening. I know it's going to be scary sometimes to walk up to that person and tell them that Jesus loves them.
It may be a little scary, and it's scary for me. I'm sure it's a little scary for Mike if it's scary for Ray Comfort. But every time you walk up to somebody, hand them a Bible, every time you offer to praise for somebody, and there's a little bit of fear or trepidation in your voice. But I want you to say this to yourself. I'm going to throw my heart over the bar and my body will follow.
You see, we've got a lot of great teaching on healing. We've got a lot of great teaching on evangelism. But I tell you one thing, eventually, one day, what we're going to have to do is this. We're going to have to stop talking about it and we're going to actually have to go out there and start doing it. And I was watching a guy named Bill Weiss.
He wrote the book 23 Minutes in Hell. Do you remember him, Mike? Yes, I know him. You know him personally, but he told me that. Not closely, but I know of him.
You know of him, yeah. And one of the things that he said, he was talking about this. He said, when you share the gospel, when you do evangelism, he said that miracles show up. We don't always know how it's going to happen or exactly what we're going to say in every situation, but when we have the faith. To get up and to go out and to do the work of an evangelist, we'll see how the Holy Spirit shows up and God will do the rest.
All that He's asking us for is our obedience. All that He's asking us for is to put our yes on the table for Jesus. You know, in the Old Testament, I believe it's in Jeremiah, Mike, it talks about a watchman being on the wall. Do you know what I'm talking about? Right.
And it says that the watchman on the wall, he says, if he warns the people of what's to come, if he knows what's to come, and he warns the people that it's coming, and if they don't listen to him, He said, The watchman is off the hook, but the people are going to be on the hook because they didn't listen to the watchman. It says, But if the watchman knows about what's coming and he doesn't share that with other people. Their blood is going to be on their hands, but his blood is also going to be required as well because he did not share the truth of what he knew.
Well, how does that apply to me? If you know the good news of Jesus Christ, if you know that Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven. And you don't want to share that with other people. That's extremely selfish of you, number one. But number two, the Lord's going to hold you accountable.
And you wrote a book as well, right? Is that right, Mike? Well, I've written 18.
Well, there was one that I was reading about how you were looking at all the different religions.
Well, that's called In Search of the True Light. I compare over 20 religions. But if people are interested in it, there's a free book on my website, thetruelight.net, called The Highest Adventure Encountering God. It's there in 14 different languages. And it's absolutely free.
And it talks about how I was converted and how they can find the Lord Jesus as well. Awesome. Thank you for the call, Mike.
