Hearing from veterans about how their service experience affected their walk with God, and the correlation between serving a nation and serving as a soldier of the cross, with the armor of God as a guiding principle.

YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE:

First and final. For the right and to build the nation's fight, and the army goes rolling along. Proud of all we have done, fighting till the battle's won, and the army goes rolling along. Let it fly, hide, hey, the army's on its way.

Now all the game is on its own. Wherever we go, you'll always know that the army goes holding along. I can't hide it, I can't hide it, it's no more. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what.

Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. Yes, it is Veterans Day, and wow, thank you for your service every single. Uh doctor Carson and I were talking about just a minute ago that You know, so many servicemen we talk about, they say, Well, I really wasn't, you know, I was in the motorcade or I was in this, but man.

Every single one of them sign a line, right? You sign the line. You are a veteran. I think we're going to have to switch mics or we lost you.

Something happened. Uh-oh. There you are. Say it one more time. You know, when you sign that dotted line.

It doesn't matter where you fit. You are a veteran because everybody is important from the guy who's got the gun at the very front line to the guy who's at the very back, making sure they have the right logistics, all those things. Every one of you are so valuable, and we are so thankful for you today on this Veterans Day. We absolutely are as You know, you never know when your unit would be called or whatever the situation may be, but also it's like the church, right? That it's a whole body.

Yes. And some get to be the feet and some needs, you know, get to be the heart.

However, that all works. Here's the question we would have, because this is a live show and we love it. In case you noticed, Doc and I love it when you call, and we're hoping that we'll get some veterans to call in today and tell us how did your service experience affect your walk with God? Simple. How, you know, when you're in the service and, you know, at the point of faith that you were, how did that affect you?

Your faith. 866, the number to call in and share, 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. If you were in the service, We would love to know. you know, is is um I had a chance this last Sunday We had a veteran service at our church, a Kildi Church in Ramsur, and We had five. Veterans that were getting Quilts of Valor.

Really cool. I don't know if you've heard of Quilts of Valor, but you need to have. I mean, they do an amazing job, and they honored five of our veterans in our church on Sunday. And it was so cool to You know, watch those. You know, Folks be honored the way that they were honored.

It was fascinating. All five of them, in one way or another, served in Vietnam. Wow. From the Navy to the Army. Um Yeah.

It was just, I was like, wow. And, you know, one gentleman I talked to today, he was talking about, you know, Robbie, it was. Everything was God. He said, You're counting on him. You know, you were thinking about him because.

You know, one day I looked up and I was 11 miles from, instead, 11 miles to DMV, you know, and I'm like, what in the world is DMZ? Excuse me. Similar experience. No, I'm just kidding. But nonetheless, he said it was just like, oh man, can you even imagine, right?

Vietnam and all those things. And so we would love to hear from you. 866. Three four eight seven eight eight four eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four because you know, it's an amazing thing, really, that There are who knows how many servers been right this very minute. that are stationed all over the world.

That you know, or standing on the line if if we need 'em, right? Standing that post. and willing to sacrifice their lives so that we can enjoy doing what we're doing right now. And when you think about through the years, It has been the soldier. And today we pause as a nation.

I love this. On the 11th day of the 11th month. Uh the 11th hour is because that's when World War I came to an end and uh we decided we're going to take time at that very moment to always honor those who have gone before and served. And so again, to you veterans, we say thank you. And we'd love to hear your story of how God impacted your life while you were serving.

Because there's a correlation. When you look at the service of a soldier, uh to a nation We're called as Christians to be soldiers of the cross. And Paul called Timothy to be a good soldier. He would use the analogy of the armor of God. To, as a soldier, has armor on, to do their, to be defensive as well as to be able to be offensive, to carry out the duties.

Paul used soldiers to describe how we live out the Christian life.

So we'd love to hear your story. Yeah, because You know Like taking up your cross has to do with being willing to sign a line, to give up your life. Right. daily, whatever that may look like in your particular situation. Um You know, that it it it's an amazing thing when you when you think that we are sitting here today On many of our relatives, right?

I know a lot of folks, there were mothers that. Let their sons go, you know, wives that went.

So, you know, if there's someone of you that had an experience, maybe as your child was in the service, we would love to hear from you as well. Again, the number to call, we would love to hear from you. 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. I like what You know, William Wallace said in that famous battle scene, you know, as he was talking about freedom, right? And he was like, what will you do with that freedom?

That, you know, someday lying in your beds, will you trade this every day from this to the last to go back at just one chance to tell our enemies, right? You can take away our lives, but you can't take away our freedom. Yeah, take away our freedom. And that beautiful statement is really when I think about the beauty of people signing into the service for a country is they're willing to give up their lives rather than lose their freedom. And um We were talking about maybe doing this show at the D-Day Memorial.

And that's up in Bedford and they have three symbols. to signify what they were about. And they got a pelican. and they have a a dog, and they have a lion. And uh that that lion We think about that lion, that bravery, valor.

We think about the dog, the fidelity. Marines simper fi, always faithful. But then there was a pelican. And the reason they went with the pelican is because a pelican is willing to sacrifice its own life for their young. And that's what a lot of our soldiers through the years have done.

And it's not just the sacrifice of full life. We have veterans right now that are still dealing with Um Uh all kind of trauma. because of things they experienced and, um, Numerous soldiers I've worked with I have had to you know when they come to church, they have certain locations they set because they have to know where the door is. They got to have a clear view. They don't want anyone ever behind them.

Because of being in those battles. And so again, those of you that have served, we are so grateful for you. Yeah, absolutely. And, you know, there's all the mental, but then there's tons and tons and tons of physical, right? You see.

you know, guys with one leg, or you see, you know, people that Lost all sorts of limbs, and you know, then you have the whole family that's there supporting them, and so it's it's it's a beautiful thing when you think about it that In so many different ways, they're supported. By so many, and for in the fortunate ones to have families like that. But I know there are certainly veterans that find themselves You know, in in in the difficult way.

So it's our job out there to See that, pray for them, obviously thank them for their service. And so when we come back, we would love to hear from you. Hopefully, we got them all lined up. 866-348-7884-866-34 TRUTH. How did your service experience affect your walk with God?

You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Mm-hmm, yeah. Make this away from voice, make us away. It's Veterans Day today on Truth Talk Live, and we're certainly Thankful for all veteran service in honoring them today on True Talk Live with a question for them. We'd love to hear from any veteran.

How did your service experience affect your Walk with God. We would love for you to call us and tell us. 866-348-7884. 866348-7884. You can call now.

We got plenty of lines open, believe me. But we do have Wade. Is. In Winston-Salem?

So Wade, you're on Truth Talk Live. All right, thank you. How you doing, Wade? I'm doing great. How are you doing today?

I'm doing great. Curious about your service, first off. You were in the United States Army? I was in the United States Army. I was three years in the reserves and.

20 years on active service. Wow. Twenty years. That is awesome. I know you like that song that we were playing just before we went back live again.

Of that song about the Navy. I missed it completely. Oh, well, good. Because I was thinking, if he's listening to that, he's like, why should I have called in to hear something about the Navy?

Now, we do love you guys from the Navy, but right now we've got Wade, who's from the Army.

Well, we start off with the Army. Yes, that's right. It always starts with the Army, doesn't it? Yeah.

So. Wade, when it comes to those years of service, how did that impact your relationship with the Lord.

Well, it's Interesting because when you come into the Army, you have or any of the services. you're very focused, you you're taught and you're trained. To be very focused on what your commander wants, what your squad leader or your platoon leader wants. And so you really become focused on pleasing man who the person who's in front of you. And um and I was very motivated.

I wanted to do well. And so I I focused a lot on pleasing my bosses and things. And then When I was struggling with that early in my career, I remember. I went to a church service and they were. Yeah.

Preacher was preached, and this was in the You know, mid-90s, he was preaching on instructions for a Christian household. from Galosians three. And when they got down to that part where it says slaves obey your earthly master. And then, um I went on down. And I was by no means a slave.

I chose to join the Army. And it was truly my honor to have served. But when he talked about work willingly at whatever you do. There you're working for the Lord rather than people, it really struck. Accord with me and my service.

And I started thinking. To myself. Is this You know He's telling me how I need to. perform my duties and not be focused on What my boss wanted, although I wanted to do the right thing. But once I started working.

toward the Lord, it all started falling into place and became easy. you know, to serve and and to to be in the military. I was working trying to quietly go about my job. as I would for the Lord, and that really made things easy for me. And then um And then As I was deploying to go to Iraq early early in my career You were um I went in two thousand three for Iraqi Freedom And you're so consumed with anxiety, the unknown.

And then, you know, I remember in the Bible where they talked about do not be anxious. And you could just give that to the Lord and and that made all the difference. And then Um I received uh A card from you know, my mother's Um Uh Sunday school class. You know, she was living in Virginia and her Sunday school class sent me a card. And on that card was the Um ninety first psalm.

Wow. And then when they were talking about that, no angel no arrow can strike me and that you have wings of angels protecting you. Mm-hmm. Yeah and they were Telling me that they were praying for me so much. And um I really became a true believer in.

intercessory prayer. Because I was so miserable in the desert, and I was.

So unhappy. And they were praying for me. And we were there outside of Baghdad and Than all of a sudden, this opportunity came And I was moved. up to Tikrit and northern Iraq. And um The People that I worked with were such strong Christians.

And then, um They And I really was able to find my niche and Just continue to work. for the Lord and I found that I was much more effective in that environment and I just Learn not to fight, not to allow God to take care of these things for me. And that really shaped my career. Wow. That's wonderful.

Man, that's a beautiful story. Wade, I thank you so much for your call today, and thank you for your service. That's amazing. And another. a thing that was so amazing was when you know, I'd come home and I had some struggles.

as many do. I had um I was invited to this men's um worship service and I went. I wasn't sure what was the purpose But The gentleman That was speaking. I didn't know who was going to be there. They just said I would get something out of it.

I went. And it turned out that he had been a commanding general in the army. and he spoke on resilience. resiliency and and how You know, you have to build. a structure before you go.

into a stressful environment, but he really um first the resiliency, the ability to bounce back is found that found in God. And I I really That helped me so much once I came home. And so my walk with Christ Christ, although it tends to Be much closer from time to time. It has always once I open myself up and quit And allowed God to speak to me. He has.

been faithful. That's beautiful. Was that General Boykin? It was not. Oh, different general.

It was not. It was. I'm trying to. Remember his name. Right now here at um Then The deputy commander of forces in Europe, and he had commanded the Second Infantry Division.

Wow. Well, thank you again, Wade, for your call. That's absolutely amazing. I'm so grateful for your service. We would love to hear from you.

The number to call is 866-348-7884-866-34 TRUTH. We got Gaither in Moxville, North Carolina coming up next. Hang on, this ought to be good. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. From the falls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea, first to fight for right and freedom and to keep our honor clean.

We are proud to claim the title of United States country. It is Veterans Day today on Truth Talk Live. We honor all the veterans and certainly we thank them for their service. We would love to know, if you were in the service, how did your service experience affect your walk with God? If you have that story, we would love to hear from you.

The number to call in and share is 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. We got Gaither is in Moxville, North Carolina. Gaither. You're on Truth Talk Live, my friend.

Well, how are you doing, Robbie? I'm excited to hear what you're going to share, Gaither. I really am. I've known you a lot of years. And um Yeah.

And God had something for you while you were in the service, didn't he? Oh yeah. At the time, I probably didn't realize exactly what all was going on, but you know, now when I look back and I could see where He sort of orchestrated things everywhere I was at. And I guess to start out with, I I was trained at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and The um had a platoon sergeant in there was from North Carolina So he He kind of took me under this wing and watched out for me, told me what to do and what not to do and all this stuff.

So And then You know. I got orders to go to Uh Well, maybe back up. We were told that we were training as a unit. and going to Vietnam.

So First orders I got was to go somewhere in Kansas. in Kansas to uh Who's kind of holding pin for sending you to Vietnam? Yeah, but Then like a day or two later I got orders to go to Germany.

So When I got to Germany, I was there two or three days and Uh maybe longer and and I was on KP. And This guy came into the Where I was peeling potatoes, and he said, Somebody from North Carolina here. I said, He had asked me, He said, Come on. I need to talk to you. I said, Well, I'm peeling potatoes.

He said, No, that guy right there is peeling potatoes. You come with me.

So me and him sit out there and talked for A long time and He finally said, Have you eaten breakfast? I said, No, I haven't eaten any breakfast. He said, Well, Come on, let me let's fix us some breakfast.

So he fixed us some practice. We went out there and sat down and eat. Yeah.

I think I pulled KP one more time, but that's about all. Yeah.

You know, and later on I found out he was He was good friends with the First Sergeant. And uh Where's Habis? Like I said, he was from Western Salem, so me and him had a lot We can comment uh to talk about and But uh You know, you can't do that. Looking looking back, you could tell That the Lord was just watching out for me by sending me to Germany and not having to go to in combat and So Uh I remember him telling me. I had about three months left and the first sergeant sent for me.

I was on book. I think my second tour of guard duty. And I had about three months left over there, and he said. Yeah.

Marshall, get upstairs and go to sleep. Should you're leaving in the morning, go to Burchess Gardens. I said, Well, Sarge, what am I going to do down there? He said, Well, you just do anything you want to. You got a whole whole week.

room and board and and food paid for.

So I went down there and First day I I was I went in that they had a snack bar and cafeteria there in in the hotel and seen this cute little blond headed girl sitting down there and I said, Ben, I need to talk to her. And so she I talked to her. She said Her mom and daddy was in the Air Force and Yeah. They were down there for the week and So she asked me, said, Well, what are you going to do tomorrow? I said, Well, I Get out and walk around and and see what's going on around here and see what I can see.

And she said, Well, why don't you uh Why don't you come with us? We got a car we're going to be riding around. looking at everything so I actually spent the whole week with that family. In It was nice to be around somebody that that wasn't in the military, that for that whole week, that whole family got to know them pretty good. And so I bet that was.

Well, there's another angle to this story that has to do with your grandmother. Oh, yeah. And the whole time that you were out there, right, she was praying? Yeah.

everything right there.

Well, actually my mom and and my grandma And my aunt. uh were the three people that I got letters from. And I still got those letters. And Uh They all they all had to mention that they were praying for me. They'd have a little note down at the bottom.

you know I'm praying for you and So You know, when when I got I got home, Uh Safely, of course. I uh It was about, I don't know, a week or so after I got home. Uh I was Okay. riding around over in Winston. On a Saturday night at what they call the triangle over there.

in a there was a call a restaurant called the Triangle and So Oh. And I've seen this pretty little redhead in him. in a blue a nineteen sixty seven She bailed. And of course she's Redhead in a blue car sounds pretty good. Awesome.

Passionate. I said, could I date you? And she said, Do you go to church? I said, Well, I used to go to the Methodist church, but I said, I've. Uh I hadn't been to church since I came home.

She said, Well, if you date me, you're going to have to go to church. I said, Well, how about I just come and go to church with you? She said, well, that'll be fine.

So I came started going to church with her. Was that actually Courtney Courtney Baptist? Courtney Baptist. Or is it Babus turns? Sure enough.

Mm-hmm. So And I I tell everybody I ran from her for a year and I finally had to give up and ask her to marry me and she married me. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

There's another example of where Yeah. I guess it was like maybe a couple of months after I dated her. You know. I just knew that this was the one the Lord wanted me to marry, you know.

So I don't know, it was probably about maybe six months We had died in Uh I asked her to marry me and she said Just started laughing. She said, Are you kidding me? I said, No, I'm not kidding. I'm serious. She said, No, I'm not ready to get married.

I said, Well, okay. And we kept dating and then And she finally did say okay But Uh Yeah. you know, it it's um And that started my my career at at Courtney Baptist Church. I guess I was Maybe I can't remember exactly how long it was, maybe three or four months. The one to the church.

I was sitting on the pew one morning. And I realized That uh I wasn't saved. Yeah.

Mm-hmm. Years back, my grandmother had told me Uh Test me. Don't you want Jesus to live in your heart? And I said, Well, of course I do. And so that really stuck in my head, you know?

And so See. And I don't know what the preacher was preaching about. All I know is Yeah. Good. The moment I realized that I was not saved.

I couldn't sit on that bench no longer. Mm. I had to get up there and Untail the breacher. And so That was It's kind of a a When you think about it, it's kind of strange that And a lot of people say, well, I was saved at 10 years old or 12 years old. And I pushed 10 or 12.

You know, when my grandmother asked me about. you know, if I wanted Jesus to live in my heart and But I never did feel like I was saved at that point.

So Well, it's a beautiful thing as I think about it.

Now, number one. You and Anne have been married now for Fifty six years.

So, and that, you know, I hope it's always encouraged me the story that.

Now pray for your grandkids. Mm. And keep praying for them. And keep praying for them. And keep praying for them.

Because they're. You know, it's just the favor. of of God um Really, through your life and through what you and Ann have had with your family and all that. It's all part of the story. But but no doubt.

You know, you served our country, Gaither, and I'm so grateful for that. I'm so grateful for. your friendship over the years and and for you calling in today. It means the world to me.

Well, it It really uh I guess I'm a good example of how The Lord just uh orchestrate your life if you'll let him. If you'll let him, that's good. Yeah, so Uh-huh. That's And he's still doing it. Oh yeah.

That's right. I got to meet you. As a result of all that, we became. Good friends for more than thirty years now, so that's amazing. Yep.

I love you, my friend, and thanks again for calling in. You're quite welcome. God bless you, and we'll see you on Thursday. All right. How about you?

866-348-7884-866-348. 7884. If you were in the service, how did your service experience affect your Walk with God. We would love to hear it as you just heard. You know, it may not seem all that spectacular, but it leads to spectacular things.

Right. And I be in the way the Lord led me. and you want a commander in general that's leading you. Oh, I love it. I love it.

866-348-7884. We got another one lined up. Can hardly wait for your call. 866-34 TRU. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Off we go into the wild blue yonder, fly behind into the sun. Here they come, zoom into me our thunder, and a boys give it a gun. Down we die, standing a fame from under, off we won, another road. We live in favor of a gallant fame. Nothing will stop the new assets.

It is Veterans Day today on Truth Talk Live. We are honoring veterans.

So much fun. To hear these stories. I hope you've got one for us. We would love to hear it. 866-348-6433-333.

7884. We are so thankful for all of your service. We certainly want to honor you as we've got up next. My friend Mike. is in Dayton, Ohio.

And I figured you were in the Marine Corps. I thought you'd call right after they played the Marine theme, but you know, nonetheless, it all works out. Yeah, I was so intrigued with the other callers and it was so awesome to hear their testimonies. Matter of fact, they're not their testimonies, but their God story. Yeah, the God's story.

I love that. I want to say that again. Their God's story, how God was with them. Throughout their service in the Marines or in the Army or the Navy. you know, God was with me in my in my in my service as well.

Um He led me to people like uh you know, uh a sergeant who was doing the navigators um If that wasn't if I yeah, the yeah, he was he was all really involved with the navigators and The learning the Bible and those things stuck in your head, you know. I mean, and uh. And the things they taught was just awesome. It just grounds you very well. And when you're in the service, you either My opinion is either you're for God or you're not with God.

Because everybody, yeah, it's liberty. Let's go out and party. You know what I mean?

So, you know.

So, you know.

Uh No, I went to uh g the sergeant's house and And we went to prayer groups and we went to um sur you know, the st uh Bible study and um Really helped me to ground and, you know, very, very grounded in God. And I'm so thankful that God, and I had my mother praying for me, I know that.

So I wouldn't go the to the wrong things. You know what I mean?

And uh And I and I met my wife because, you know, I met my wife because I was church hopping. I I would church hop back and forth trying to find a girl to go date. And uh I've met my wife. That's an interesting strategy, I would say. The right place to find a wife is in church.

So if that church doesn't have the right one, go to another one. Right, I didn't find one I liked, so I went to another one. And um There was this one we were in a in a it was a young adults cl uh class, and uh my wife was up in the front row and I was in the back row because I was new. And uh she said I kept staring at her and I oh boy, I did I not stare at her. And so and uh and I said, Man, I kept looking around the people saying, Man, I like that girl up front.

Oh my, I got to get to know her. And then, believe it or not, she came back because she realized I was staring at her. And then. She come back and says, we're going to go to a bowling alley. Do you want to come and come bowling with us?

And I said, Yeah, that would be fun. And uh so she bowled you over. You could say that. Yeah, she bowled me over, yeah. And you and you like are a master bowler.

So, man, it was like it was your sweet spot, right. It was my sweet spot. You were able to really show off. I was. And you didn't strike out, I guess.

No, I did not strike out. You didn't end up in the gun. You were Tammy. I think we got Robbie over roll, Nick. Yeah, we do.

Yeah, the bowling jokes just keep flying, but nonetheless. But m And you know, the the Marine Corps really, really, really I'm seriously, it really helped me with the there are some strong Christians in the service and back then anyways. And they really helped me to get close to God. And I'm thankful. I wish I remember their names, but I don't.

But God, God's story, they led me to them. You know what I mean?

My God, God. I get to meet these people, and God said, Meet this person, and I met this person, and they. And they said, hey, come to this and come to that. And I did. And I was so thankful for that.

Um, I wouldn't be the person who I am if it wasn't for those people, I really wouldn't. And I'm trying to be like them now. You know what I mean?

I'm saying to other Christians and young men and young, you know, let's go to the men's group and let's go to this. Let's go to boot camp. Exactly. I'm trying, sir. I know, I know.

I know. I'm hoping because I really want to see you. Nonetheless, you can't help but see God. Um In that situation. In other words, when you.

Um Offer up. Right? Right? Because you feel duty calls. And and God comes in and He honors that with Providing you with an opportunity to grow in him.

I mean, it's absolutely gorgeous, right, Doc? Yeah, it is. It is. I like, you know, back to Wade talking about that desire to please. your commanding officer.

It's it's a natural thing. And then Paul writes to Timothy and he says those very things. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And we need to be more single-minded as Christians. Not seeking to please men, but please our true commander-in-chief.

and uh do those things that are pleasing to him. That's a great lesson from a soldier. I I totally agree. And it's interesting how how how you guys Yeah. you know, both, you know, talked about that.

You know, I I don't want to not mention this. Sunday service, I was talking to one of our veterans who. had served in Vietnam and I could tell he said And it was really it was hard to hear, but we need to hear it. He he said, you know, we came back from Vietnam you know, we had no idea that people would be mad at us. Yeah.

And he said They You know, they Treated us horrible. We got off the train. They didn't want to have anything to do with us. You know, it's hard to get a job. It's unbelievable.

Right? Yeah.

I can't help but think that man, Um I really I loved what I've seen this V Veterans Day. From You know, this Group out there honoring veterans with the quilts, the quilts of honor. And so many different churches are putting on events tonight to feed veterans and those kind of things. Whatever is being done out there. You know, it's a it's a really good thing because, you know, honor.

Uh yeah. is what God loves to do. Mm-hmm. I was at Dario's earlier today, and any veteran can come in there. I asked him, How has How's this gone today?

And they've said you would not believe how many veterans have stopped by. And it's been such a privilege for Johnny. It'd be worth the drive, Mike. Just drive down to Dario. It would be.

But go ahead, Mike. I'm sorry. Yeah, no worries. Um You know, we were saved by grace, but We have victory in Jesus. You know, we have victory in Jesus because he died for us, and we have that hope.

and be having that hope means the world no matter what situation we're in. in the military, going to war, want to die for our country. God loved us so much that we know where our eternal life is, is in Christ. It's in going to heaven. We know if we die.

We're going to go to heaven. And we were willing to give up our lives for that. He did the very thing. And then just so awesome to have that Confidence in Christ and have that confidence every day. And that we don't serve men, we don't serve anybody, but we serve Christ, we serve God.

And because we love him. And he loves us. And he shows us that in our daily lives. And he shows us us in our prayer life, and he shows us in our study with the Bible. And a relationship with other Christians, you know?

So in your case, Right, you're dead. served as well, right? Yeah, my dad, my grandfather, my brother, my sister, my cousin. I mean, we have a whole military family. And And we were willing to, you know, because we loved the freedom that we had.

And what God done for us, you know? And we want that year for our grandfather. Mike, what year did you enlist? I was in enlist in eighty four or eighty yeah, eighty four. And when did your dad enlist?

Oh, uh, probably s I would assume sixties in the sixties or fifties, yeah, or late fifties. Yeah, and my grandfather served World War II. Wow, and it sounds like from the music we gotta go. But go ahead, Doc. You had an idea.

Just wanted to say thank you to the multiple generations, and there's so many veterans like that. And we just say thank you, thank you, thank you to our veterans today. Yes, we do. We want to honor you here, and we thank you again, Mike, for your call and we thank you for your service. And we'll look forward to what God brings next week.

Next tomorrow, actually. Tomorrow. It's Wednesday.
