I am the heel that you love to hate, O'Shea Jackson Jr., aka Petty Guerrero. And as my t-shirt would tell you, You see it. You see what time it is. Hey, yo. It's me, it's me, it's the T double O, the J I double G Two Jigo, TJ Jefferson.
What's up, man? We're cruising down that WrestleMania road, and there's been a couple potholes, a couple bumps, a couple surprises, but The destinations are staying the same, and we're all speeds. Oh, I already know. You see this right here? That's some water, a jug of water.
That's right, man. Gotta be hydrated. I'm going to Vegas. That's right. I got to make sure I'm right, dude.
You know what I say? Don't let dehydration ruin your vacation. Subject. Quoting, quoting. But yeah, we got...
By the way, I get a toothpick in for I see you. I know you. I mean, you know, you keep it clean as well. I feel you. But we definitely have a lot of major things happening.
It looks like our card is finally solidifying. Punk. Punk kind of got that roaming, bro. Yeah, he kind of got that roaming.
Well, let's just be honest. On that microphone, there are a few peers. Prefer Chicago made.
So, yeah, and you know, Roman, you're my boy. But I need you to get the composition out, bro. I need you to write some raps, all right? Because, man, he uh he got you, and it um, you know, there's some things that Roman can obviously play with. Fans, once they once you put something out there, fans immediately try to debunk everything a wrestler says, and yada, yada, yada, guys.
Let them do their thing, it's all right, they don't hear us screaming at the TV. I've learned that from years of watching the Lakers, so just like, let's just chill, see where it's going. But it's definitely time for a major rebuttal from the OTC because Punk came out on fire when I seen him take the um Did this thing the mic? I was like, all right, yeah. And didn't go to gorilla.
Left through the crowd. I probably couldn't go back. Left through the crowd. He was like, I don't really need a pet on the back. I'm going to go to the car.
Or I'm going to have to hear about this. Right, right, right. I'm going to get written up. And uh yeah, man. Yeah, I mean look.
Uh Sometimes when you get I guess dealt with that severely. Might be time to just let it go and not, you know, talk about something else. Like after No Vaseline came out, right? 100 miles and running, they tried, but. You'd already gotten pretty much destroyed by the greatest, and I'll say this to this day: the greatest diss song of all time.
I'm not just saying it because you're sitting here, I'm saying it. I mean, The source one said it. I'm sure Rolling Stone said it. Vibe Magazine, Bleacher Reports. The Bleacher Reports were so shaded.
They all said it. But yeah, man, at that point, where he's bringing up. The dog food line, though, dog. Come on, man. No, this is from this past Monday night, Raw, as we sit here and we respond.
To what we saw. We were responding, folks. All right. You got what I mean? And I'm thinking, wow, how do you.
Dog food thing, that was a bad Bad, bad time in the company, according to most fans online. Yeah, 2019, I believe it was. A lot of I I watched a video that somebody put together of some of the um Hits? Why'd you whisper hints? And I went, wow, okay.
Yeah. Yeah, this was a little bit of a rough time. But the dog food thing was bad. And to bring that back up in the weird old man line, and just like before Cody Rhodes, that was the last time we had saw Chief Luz. You know, this is before obviously he became the head of the table, the tribe of chief, and he was still the big dog, yada, yada, but.
I got to put it out there because that's my boy. Baron Corbin got that dub, bro. Yeah. Baron Corbin got that dub on Roman and the other dog food thing. And that's as a Roman fan.
Forever a scar. Forever a scar. But it does say something when you lick back, though, but still. When the. Which is another thing why I ended up appreciating John Cena.
Because at times where the company's at its lowest and you still out there giving it everything you can, it says something to be able to be out there and Do what you're you know I don't want to say told, but like working with the cars you're dealt with. We're going to Vegas, and it is important to be that guy. for a company Sometimes you get pedigree in your hair. Yeah, that was when it was happening, it was odd. Yeah.
Humiliation ritual. We know how these go. But yeah, Punk got busy on the mic. And you know. When he started that promo And he left the ring and hopped on the table.
I put on Twitter, I said the hill turn has started. This man is about to, and I put the fire emoji in a mic, about the flame people. Good luck. A motivated CM Punk on a stick is, like I said, there ain't a whole lot of dudes in the history of wrestling. If you're going to make your top 10 guys on the mic, he almost has to be in your top 10, whether you like him or not.
If you're going to be honest, yeah, be honest. Um So I wrote, yeah, that, and then he hopped off the table. Yeah. The crazy thing, bro, was the crowd wasn't. They weren't pro CM punk for the first five or so minutes.
You were hearing some booze, you were hearing Roman chance. It wasn't like that. That response that CM Punk gets, and that's why I was like, okay. And he, very few people read the crowd as well as him. And I thought, as his promo was going, he did kind of lean heelish.
He talked about how much money he had. That's a heel move, right? You know, babyfaces don't necessarily say, got a lot of money, so I'm okay with something. All signs were pointing to if that's how this crowd was gonna go, that's what he was gonna go. And then, like I said, then he jumped off the table.
Yeah. and went to the barricade. And then all of a sudden, Yeah. It flipped. What a flip.
It flipped. And also when you mentioned, you know.
Some prices. Prices. You know, McAfee started catching strays. I wouldn't even say caught strays because strays is staying there just minding your business. That was direct, like visceral.
Okay. And, you know, he. Punk, when he's in his bag, he's in his bag. And I, you know, I hit him. I was like, you know.
That's what I'm talking about. That was, you know, and on Twitter immediately I was like, that's beautiful from CM Punk. Um but he said that wasn't CM Punk.
So that was Black Phil.
Now I said, all right, now Black Shea loved it. But what he meant by that, he showed a picture on his Instagram, he showed a black goat. And like he just, I'm ready to go dark when they want me to, you know, like at any time it can pop off. Because I will say, out of all these battles back and forth and digs here and there. He still hasn't gotten them to boo Roman.
And I think it's a it's a weird spot because The crowd misses Roman. They want to see Roman. And it's like the tribal chief isn't necessarily a heel character anymore. They love Roman. And so it is going to be interesting to see.
When Paul was bringing up How he went through the indie route and yada yada yada, he wasn't chosen, and you know, the Nepal baby line, by the way. Nepal Baby's up by a billion. Always, baby. But yeah, so when he started to bring that up, it kind of felt like, you know, I'm real wrestling, you know, like the real route that a lot of people have to take. And I took the stairs, you took the elevator, type situation.
Oh wait, take the elevator. But what It feels like what's what's really I'm starting to see from Randy and McAfee. McAfee. Uh Telling Cody, we're going to save the business from you. And then punk with Roman, the parallel with that of him telling, you know, I did things the right way.
Him basically saying, I'm going to save the business from you. Cody and Roman out of nowhere aren't the business. They were born in the business.
So I really need to see some heavy responses from all this jibber jabber. I'm not here for the jibber jabber. All right, Mr. T. Yeah, man.
I ain't got time for no jibber jabber. But since we got to punk on Monday, and I'm sure we'll talk about that later, we got to start with Cody on Friday. The whole.
Now look. I'm kind of glad we had a few days in between what happened on Friday and our part of the day because maybe I would have thought differently. Maybe my response would have been different. But we've had a few days of like marinade on this.
Now. You got Randy, you got Cody. Pat McAfee comes out. He's the man on the other end of the phone. It seems like, and this is not a McVeigh disc.
I love Pat. I'm a fan of Pat. And it's weird that people make it seem like he has no connection at all to wrestling. McAfee started off in NXT as an announcer. He's had matches.
So it's not like he's not gotten up there and been in the ring. Obviously, not on a full-time basis. But he's also not a stranger to the game the way a lot of people are trying to. Project him as. He's had some skin in this wrestling biz for a few years now.
I mean, the man did a moonsault off the top of a steel cage. Like, that earns you some grace in my eyeball, right? Street credit. You know what I mean? Yeah.
So. But that being said, I can also sit here and say, was it a little underwhelming? Him revealing himself to be the man on the phone based upon the names that were being thrown out, the different scenarios. It didn't seem like so. It was a little bit like, oh, okay.
So. If you're against that right off the bat, then you're just hating it. Yeah. He made some great points. In the ring.
Talk to him. But the way a lot of people say online, because you know, I like to just, you know, as much as it annoys me the way people always complain, you do sometimes do get. Little tidbits.
Okay. So, yeah, I get it.
Somebody said right message, maybe wrong messenger.
Okay, I can accept that. Um But The thing to me is, because everyone's flipping out about this. You saw Punk's response. Later in the show, you saw Cody's. There's always Something, right?
We know that, right? It's got to be something. It's never, hey, look over here.
Meanwhile, this is coming.
So I'm going to say to everybody else who, and we can talk about this in a bit, but for everyone who's flipping out, has a problem with this, you're more than welcome to your opinion. But just from my decades of watching wrestling and you as well, I think we both believe there's a little bit more to this. And if we're wrong, we're wrong, but that's how I look at it. We'll see. Time will tell.
Time will tell. That's just my initial thought. Right. Was like, okay, you're flipping out about this, but I got a feeling this ain't going to be the end game. Yeah.
And we'll see. But you know what, right now? We got a special guest. Yeah, we got an old friend in the house. Go ahead and do what you do.

He is our homie, the young OG. If you don't know where he is, Probably look up. Because this man is on top of the world. Ladies and gentlemen, Javon Evans. Yes, sir.
Please welcome to the show. There he is. What's up, man? How are you living? What's up, John?
I'm good, man. I'm good. How y'all? Man, we're good right now. We're good, though.
Making some big moves out here. Trying to. You know, trying to. That's what I was about to say. You ain't trying.
You're past the trying part, my g. You are, the moves are being made as we speak. Yeah, yeah, you know, well, you know some may say So I'm gonna say, I'm just trying to get a little bouncy, you know what I mean? Listen, man, 21 years old. with a intercut with a with a championship match.
Yeah. Ladder At WrestleMania, come on. Yes, Ern. 21 years old. Your boy never damn, my boy.
Half as old as WrestleMania itself. Right. We're on 42. He's 21. And I'm not even good at math, and I picked up on that.
That's good, bro. Hey, that's that L tuna. That's that L tuna coming in. Javon, we love having new guests. We love bringing people in.
But there's nothing like seeing your homie, people who've been here before. Family. Yeah, exactly. And that's how we feel about. yourself Trick in Oba.
Y'all have, y'all were here during y'all NXT days. Y'all have come back during your main roster days. You know, you guys are a part of. The NCW family, and to see you guys' success that you guys have had being in the main roster has been crazy. Every situation, you know, the Royal Rumble, you know, screaming, our boys.
Like, it is a great feeling to be a part of you guys with the rockets on your backs.
Now, and yeah, if people are wondering, is that the reason? Yeah, that's also the reason. All right, we're not short.
So, yeah, no, I wanna know, first of all, what does it mean to you to. Your first year on the main roster, you're headed to mania. You're headed to mania and We'll get into this, but low-key, you're in a match that could be a show stealer.
So, you know, head into Mania and. You guys' first year on the main roster. That that you know the Three-headed monster that you guys are, what does that mean to you?
Okay. Honestly, it's very um It's very nerve-wracking, but it's such a blessing. You know what I mean? Literally a year ago. I was basically opening for Mania Week, you know?
Right. Or a Mania Weekend. And now. Um in WrestleMania.
So it's it's it's it's crazy, bro. It just shows that like hard work does pay off. And honestly, bro, I know I'm just going to start. You know what I mean? Like, honestly, I feel like we haven't even started yet, bro.
We just barely scratching the surface. You feel me?
So, like, bro, I'm so blessed, bro. I'm so honored. And I can't wait to see what happens, especially. And WrestleMania, bro. I'm excited.
Yeah, because I know your elimination chamber when you when you walked in Grab stew, you said, I'm nervous. I'm nervous.
So I need to know what, you know, just the. The idea of when you started wrestling, the the The role that you've taken. And for it to in in two weeks, Be well, not even a full one, but like to know that you're headed to Mania in a match that could be a show stealer. For a title. What does that feel for you?
Ow. Bro, I'm uh I'm still nervous. They don't feel like. It means you alive. It means you alive.
That's all. For real. You know what I mean? Like, I see the fire. I'm like, I'm excited.
But then I'm like, yo, like, this is probably the most amount of people that I've already, not already, but I've wrestled in front of. You know what I mean? And I don't know, bro. It's just so nerve-wracking because mania is the baby show of the year. You know, so it's only so much that you can do for real.
You know, like, I don't want to go too crazy because I want to have, you know, I don't want to. Try to I gotta say it like... Overbuild or like overlap, you know what I mean? Like every year try to go crazier because eventually I won't be able to go crazy anymore. You know, I'll be old.
You feel me?
So, but nah, bro, I'm excited and bro. This means so much, bro. Even being able to wrestle in Mania. You know what I mean? Or Atmania like, not not even like...
Not even it being a part of the title. You know, the title is great. Like, I can become the youngest IC champion in AW history. You know what I mean? But, like, just being able to say, like, I am competing at WrestleMania.
It is insane, bro. And don't forget, the GOAT got added to the match. Yeah. That's great. Oh, geez.
So, at some point, Javon, man, do us a favor, right?
So after you get announced. After you make your way to the ring, brother, and do yourself a favor if you get a chance. Just stand there for a second and look to the top, look around, take it all in. I've heard that from so many people, just because you're never going to get this chance again, right? Like Ray Claire said, you can never be first, but you can always be next.
This is your first time, G.
So just make sure that you sit there and you get a chance just for your own, you know, for your own mentals, for your own self. Take it in, dog, because what you're doing and what you've done, what you're going to do. is unheard of, right? We had one nine-year-old Nicholas. Yeah.
Was that WrestleMania when he still ain't seen him? That was WrestleMania, right?
Okay. But that was kind of a gimmick, right? But this is legit, brother. You are the youngest man to do what you're getting to do, dog.
So just make sure, even if it's just for five seconds. and understand That's what you're doing is special and ain't nobody else done what you've done. And be proud of yourself, my brother. Please. I appreciate you, bro.
And honestly, dog, like, I feel like... That's gonna happen either way. I'm just gonna be like... Yeah. Yeah, you know, Stu, Stu, Jamon, come on.
Come on, come on, OG. My bad, OG. My bad. Stu's the man. Stu's the man.
Yeah. We talked about him. You know, we had Cenon a few weeks ago, and we talked about. You know, how we got to know Stu along with the rest of the world because John would always talk to him. And it seems like you've.
taking that baton. From so on. Was that something that was planned on, or was that just something you came out and you saw him and you were hyped and you just grabbed him and started, you know, talking to him? Yeah, no, honestly, it was just something that I started doing, you know what I mean? Like, of course, you know, OG Cena, like, he would always do it.
But honestly, I just Forgot what to say, you know what I mean? Like, you guys come out making sound effects, you know what I mean? But now I'm like, all right, well. I'm not nervous tonight, so what do I say now? What's up, Stu?
What's y'all doing?
Something I just started doing, but I feel like, honestly, like, that's just so real. You know, like, I feel like that brings the realness. Into wrestling, you know? Because everybody, people don't really acknowledge like the camera for real, but bro, I'm just a normal person. You feel me?
I'm just I know a person that's somewhat good at professional wrestling. You feel me?
So anytime that I can bring in like realism. That's a word, right? Yeah. You know, I'm still young, so I'm trying to do it. My vocabulary is still building.
Realistic. But anytime I can bring that into wrestling, bro, I try to for sure. No doubt. Absolutely. You also, you know, this mania is coming up, but you've had some big matches since the last time that we saw you.
Yeah. Talk to us about your feeling. go into that rumble. Royal Rumble in Riyadh, you know, just far away from home. Oh, come on now.
Yeah, so like talk to us about what it means what it meant for you to be selected for that, what goes through your mind once you get your find out where your spot is. Let us mere mortals know what goes on during that. Bro, so um Bro, I it was crazy, you know, because the rumble is. Such an iconic match. You know what I mean?
So for me to be able to be a part of it was just... Insane in general, you know, and then going to Saudi Arabia was just another level of insanity, you know. And then becoming the MVP, you know, the partner is just another part of insanity. You feel me?
So, but it was, it was, it was, uh, It was just crazy and and I just remember like Going out there, and of course, like before the time is going down, doing the countdown, I'm just sitting there, and I'm like, okay.
Alright, I'm next. Who's out there? Oh, but Damien? All right, all right, you know what? Easy.
Come on, easy. We good. We good. We good. And I went out there, boom, my music hit.
And I go out, and it was like. It's like You hear a reaction? Mm-hmm. But It's not like a it's not like an NXT reaction, right? Yeah, you know what I mean.
So, like, once I hear that, like, there's some people that know who I am, but there's a lot more people that don't know or like not familiar with my work, then it's like, oh, like, now I have something to prove. Yeah, you know what I mean? Yeah, so I just remember, like, all right, cool, like, I'm gonna go out here, I'm gonna do what I gotta do. Anytime somebody tries to eliminate me, I'm gonna make it seem like they gonna, they, they about to eliminate me, but just to mess up, you know, mess with their head, you know what I mean? Right, right, right, right, right.
And bro, like, like, in and just being able to.
So I can do and then Bro, like being in there and like hearing like Brock Lesnar's theme song, you know what I mean? Like Ray Newton's theme song, being in the ring with Roman, you know what I mean? Like it was crazy. It was just so wild, bro. I don't know, I mean, I keep saying it, bro, but I'm just so blessed to have all these opportunities and being put in these positions, bro.
It is crazy. But, bro, that was literally my whole mindset when it came to the Rumble. It is a blessing, but you've clearly done the work, right? For sure, for sure. I appreciate it.
That's part of it too. No, that that RKO spot. Was that a redo of the NXT? I can't fully remember that match, man. But I know there was something that you wanted to get a little cleaner.
Was that that redo?
So, it kind of was, but I didn't really think of it that way. You know what I mean? Like,. Like yeah, we we messed up the first time. Yeah But now like what are Bro, simpler is better.
You know what I mean? Like, I went for something crazier first time, didn't try it, you know, didn't press it, none of that. And. It turned out how it turned out, you know? I just try to go with something that I know I can do no matter what move I get caught into.
You know what I mean? And I just remember jumping. I was just in the air and I saw the vision. I was like, all right. Oh, same thing with the Samoa drop.
Oh man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure, for sure, for sure. It was pretty wild. I was expecting sometimes, bro.
I'd be getting too high in the air. You listen said no one ever. Bro, hold on, man.
Sometimes I jump too high.
Sometimes I jump too high.
I'm like, all right, all right. Come on. Hey, come on, calm down. Dude, it'd be sometimes where I'm like. What is, cause there's some times where you might go, your distance is a little more than your height.
And so, like, I'll be like. He knows they're not about to catch you. And what goes through your mind of like, oops, yeah, they might not have me on this one? For sure. No, no.
So sometimes, honestly. My mindset is, and maybe this sounds crazy, and maybe I'm just saying this because I'm young right now. But like sometimes I try to overshoot you know what i mean only because From a fan? perspective you know i mean like if i hit something a hundred percent clean Now it looks like we dancing. Right.
You feel me?
Yeah. Which I don't want wrestling to look like that. Like, I want true emotion. You know what I mean? So it's kind of like: if you get me mad, or if I'm too excited.
And I jump in the air. There's some sometimes if I'm in a real fight. And I film myself. Too much, you know what I mean? I'll swing just something crazy.
I'm not gonna hit that right hand every time. Right, right. True.
So sometimes like when I do a dive, if I'm too serious, you know what I mean? If I'm too locked in, I'll overshoot, but I still get them and I'll almost hurt myself. At the end of the day, I know I'm going to be okay. You know what I mean? Even though I'm crazy.
I'm going to be sore, but I know I'm going to be okay. I promise. I promise, bro. I've been wrestling for eight years, okay? I know how to land.
I'm okay. Boy to be twinned, man. Because Lord knows, man. If I see something and I'm like, I'm about to hurt myself. Bro, I'm out for two to three weeks, bro.
Just the thought of it. Yeah, I'm cool, man. No. No, man. I pulled my back stretching this morning.
So the run man like Now that you made it up to the main roster, can you give us like a few things that now you've learned? Since you've been up top now, that you didn't know or weren't aware of. And now you're like, oh, this is how this works. And it could be anything, man, whether it's in the ring or out of the ring, just something that kind of opens your eyes. But sure, so for me, the main thing that I've learned, especially going into main roster, is that because we travel so much, you don't wrestle in front of the same wrestling crowds.
You know what I mean? And I felt like I was aware of that. Uh, especially just like going into the indies, you know what I mean? Like, not every crowd is gonna like everything that you do, you know what I mean? Like, uh uh Minnesota is not gonna like the same thing that New York like.
you know what i mean word word so but you know and i kind of i kind of learned a little bit of that Uh on the any scene. You hear me? But I wasn't really like truly aware because you know of course like on the indies like Some people may not like what you do or may not be a fan of it, but you can kind of like easily like transition them into becoming a fan rather than in front of a big wrestling crowd, you know, or a bigger wrestling crowd. It's just so different. You know what I mean?
Like, you can try. Yeah. But if somebody. It's sitting beside somebody, they're just like staring, you know what you're doing. You don't want to be the only fan of something that that person's doing.
You feel me?
Yeah. So the main thing that I have learned is that each wrestling crowd likes different things. And I love that I'm learning that right now because by the time I'm older, I'm already know. what New York likes or what California likes or what North Carolina likes, you know what I mean?
So it's a big learning experience. I'm glad that I'm learning all of that currently. Yeah, stuff that plays in like LA or Dallas. Might not go over in Philly and Chicago because those are exactly two rough crowds.
So, yeah, that's smart. I mean, it's kind of the same. The same thing when I would go on tour with my father, you know, different cities might get a different set list. Like, and you know, and the the starter of the show in LA is gonna be different than the starter of the show in New York. He always likes to start the show in New York with uh.
The naysayer you love to hate, get some real rally. And so that's different to think of in a wrestling perspective. That, you know, some crowds aren't going to like certain things that the other ones would. That I think a lot of people don't put into consideration when they're watching. You know, just like, oh, well, they're in.
Whatever the hell. Me personally, I love a little small town now. I forget where we were, but it's a club called Belly Up in Colorado. They was rocking for your boy when I was like 19 on stage with my dad. Man, shout out to y'all, where y'all are.
But um what I was hesitant to bring this up.
Okay. Uh-oh. But I got to, man. All right, well. Uh oh.
Javon, you know we you boys. The last time you was on, you gave us a gift.
Okay, you gave us a gift of one of our show's most viral moments. Yeah, you know, um, do we have an conversation? All right, yes, please. Uh, this is when um. We brought up a popular console, Sega Genesis, known around the world.
And here's your response to that. My older brother Daryl, this is how he introduced me to wrestling, period. We, uh, Are you ready for my old moment? Yes, sir. All right, so yeah, we played WWF Raw on Sega Genesis.
And he would always pick Shawn Michaels. I'm like, you like, you don't want to be nobody else? Like, who is this dude? He always picked Shawn Michaels. I got a question, and this is really gonna show my age.
Y'all probably already know. Yeah. What's second Genesis?
Okay. I don't know what that is. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Javon Evans, bro. Hey, hold on, wait, wait, wait, hold on. Wait, Sega Genesis, bro.
This is gonna get clipped. Come on. Yeah, I still feel from that. It still hurts to this day. You know, sometimes in life, we.
Hold on, wait, wait, let me. I like to be, I like to look nice when people lie to me. You know, you know. I was just. Confused.
No, I wasn't. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But you know, now.
Now that we've had our experience with that, you feel me? I feel like we can all grow from that moment. Right, right, right. Beautifully said. Beautifully said.
You see, that's media training right there. You see that, boy? I totally expected someone to gift him a Sega Genesis at this point. Let me take him somewhere. Let him see the world.
Has anybody in the locker room given you some heat for that? Yeah. No, no, not yet. Not yet. I think because that like The locker room just expects me to say something like that.
You know what I mean? Like, of course, Javon doesn't know that. They haven't clowned me for it yet. You feel me?
But since we're reminding the wrestling world and everybody right now, I for sure will probably be hearing about that at Mania. Yeah, what's kind of awesome, I guess, for Shay and I is, you know. This got brought up a few times with other wrestlers. I remember in particular we're talking to, I think it was Joe Hendry. Joe Hendry.
And Joe goes, so.
Somehow this got brought up and Joe goes, so you know, we and the guys in the back. Of one show, we were talking about Javon not knowing Sega Jesus. And I said, Hold, hold, hold up, hold up, Joe Henry. I said, I don't mean to interrupt you, but. You mean people at Like your coworkers know about our show And he was like, Yeah, of course.
We all talk about it. And so it was at that moment that you and I were like, Wow, okay. Like, the boys and the girls in the back are talking about it. We're on the right path. Yeah, we're on the right path.
You know, for sure, for sure. Trying to get y'all names out there. You know what I mean? Mainstream.
So crazy. But I will let you know that AJ Styles knows that you don't know what the second genes is. I'm sorry, man. It was such an interesting time. Look it up for O'Shea, y'all.
Oh, my God. Thanks for joining us. Javon and I will continue this.
Now, speaking of a legend like AJ Styles, but another man who's a legend in his own right. Kofi Kingston, We have been seeing you have a lot of interaction with Kofi. And I know when I first saw it come across the screen, it was a moment of. Man, I didn't know I needed this. You know, I didn't know that I needed this.
This moment, right here. I kind of want this. Yeah, like you know, and we all, you know, especially our people know what Kofi means. Yes, black. Yeah, that's what we mean.
But, yeah, what Kofi means to us. And, you know, just the moment that he had with Kofi Mania. Is that the last WrestleMania that was one night? It might have been.
Sorry, that's actually a good question. Yeah, but my other personality be trying to take the microphone. My bad. I'll check that for real. Yeah, so what is it like to be able to, you know, like, what have you guys had, obviously, what you can talk about.
But being able to interact with Kofi. to know that the company Seize that moment and is like, we got to put them together. Like, what does that feel for you? Working with Kofi Kingston, put it in your own words. Bro, it's is is is wild and and uh it's it's just a um Let me see.
I'll probably say it's Unexpected right now. No, like I. wasn't expecting to be working with Uh To me, a legend, you know what I mean? Like, a future Hall of Famer for sure. You know what I mean?
Um. But I I think it's it's great that, you know the the E see something in that, you know?
Now Of course, you know, he's trying to recruit me. Which is like cool, you know, but I just know how he is. You know, I know how he is. I know how. Xavier is, you feel me?
They got mad at Big E because Big E got hurt and couldn't wrestle. Right. He literally couldn't wrestle.
So, why? You're mad at him, and now y'all, you know what I mean? I'm saying they had some valid points. The gaslighting is crazy. Come on, bro.
What are we doing? No, no, no. But, like, you know, it's. Mm-hmm. Like right now, especially on TV, like right now, you know, I'm just like, I don't want to be in somebody else's footsteps.
You feel me?
Like, Uh I want Javon to have his own You know, trail his own path. You feel me?
Like, yes, I'll take notes. You feel me?
Like, I'll get some mentors, but like, I don't want to follow in somebody else's legacy. That's like the same thing with the Rumble. Everybody was expecting me to do something crazy, like a crazy save at the Rumble, which is cool. But it's like Kofi has already made that something so legendary. That me continuing it, no disrespect to Kofi, much love, but like me continuing it.
Um, only makes his legacy better. Right. You feel me?
And I feel like I want to have my own thing, you feel my own craft. Like, if there is something that the young OG can do that nobody else has done, you know, and build on that, then I'm willing to do that, then try to continue somebody else's legacy. Yeah, i i it's it's kind of the same thing with with an actor when it comes to not wanting to be typecast in that same role that you've seen. You know, you're gonna have to if you want me, you're gonna have to think of some different avenues. I can still give it to you if you if you need it, but like don't just have it in your head.
Oh, all we gotta do is. This and have him do that now. You're that guy now.
So, kudos to you as a fan. It is. Crazy to see, you know, you and you and Kofi working together. In my fantasy booking, I need you, Kofi, and Montez Ford in a triple crude for some reason. I just need you to go crazy.
I ain't mad at that at all. You know, you know, shout out to Tez. Oh yeah, you already know. You already know. You already know.
We're at that age, man. We're at that age. Hey, Javon, man, I know. CJ got there before me. I mean, I am, I'm old, man.
That's for sure. But I'm still doing this. Yeah. Come on now, OG. I'm still doing this thing.
And you know what? It beats the alternative. It beats the alternative. Absolutely, man.
So, Javon, I know you've been into the wrestling game for a minute, but with this being WrestleMania, this being, you know, to people who have never watched, you know, we're going to be on the SPN2 the day before WrestleMania. The dose? The deuce. Come on now. And we're going to let, and you know, there's going to be people there, right?
That we're going to be introducing this whole concept, this whole thing that is WrestleMania to them. It's going to be like many of us when we had our first time. There's going to be hundreds of thousands of people that 42 is going to be their first WrestleMania experience.
So, what was your first WrestleMania experience? Like, what's the. Oh, TJ, this is such a good question. What's like, you know, the first WrestleMania that you can remember? Because I'll give you mine.
And I was going to use this for the show, but I'll give you this. Back. Don't remember how old it was, but it was the first WrestleMania. I lived two hours from Pittsburgh. In those days, Javon, they had something called closed circuit.
which wasn't pay-per-view it was you'd go to an arena They'd set up screens and you would pay money like you were watching it live. Except you'd watch it on a screen like a movie that was closed circuit. And they had this at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, where the Pittsburgh Penguins played hockey. And apparently what happened on that day is about. Less than half an hour before the end of the show.
Screen went black. they lost the connection. What I guess WWE did with whoever else decided that two weeks later, I think it was two weeks later. they would air it on our local ABC station, our local ABC channel on Sunday afternoon.
So I can remember coming home from church. In the living room, and now WrestleMania, the very first one starting. And, you know, there's Muhammad Ali and Liberace and Cindy Lauper. Then you got Mr. T in the main event, you know, and all that.
And I'm just a kid. Like, I I was fortunate because I never would have got to see this. I couldn't have had, you know, we wouldn't have been able to afford to go that.
So, to be able to sit in the living room with my whole family, my grandpa, who as O'Shea knows, is the one who is the reason for me even sitting here because he gave me my love for wrestling. To be able to watch that first WrestleMania on regular TV was just like. Yeah, uh You know, to this day, I'm still kind of amazed by it.
So, you know, after I gave my long rambling answer, man, do you remember that? Yeah, man, that was that was a fire answer. Yeah, that was great. He's a professor. No, it's cool, yeah.

Uh so the first mania that I got to watch uh Brulee?
The whole thing, avoid it. Uh um was Mania 20 Eight w w uh first was that first scene on rock? That was the First time. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I heard it was once in a lifetime. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And it happened twice. And it happened the next year.
So, yeah, so yeah, that was my first mania. I remember like. Of course, like the ones before, I had school the next day, so my mom went in. Like, she'll let me watch, like, two or three matches and then, you know, go to sleep. Yeah, man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you make her feel bad about that now? Uh. I try to, but then, you know, you know how moms are.
Well, look at you now. Look at you now. Yeah. You know, look at you now. Because I had that with my mom, you know, on my, on my report cards, I'd always get like, use this time wisely, needs improvement.
Every parent-teacher conference from first grade to 12th.
Well, TJ's smart, he's funny, but he talks too much. And I would always get from my mom, like, you're never going to get it. You always want to be the class clown. You always want to talk. Where's that going to get you?
And then, like, I became like comedy producer for a show called Yo Mama. And, you know, and now I get to talk for a living. And I said to her the other day, I'm like, is there something you want to say to me? Oh, my God. But then, you know, my mom has a 13 and no street fighting record, so I don't want to push that too far.
Oh, yeah. But I just, yeah. We're going on that, mama. I just want to let her know sometimes you doubted me. That's real.
That's no, bro. Bro, I would, I would try to. Tries to avoid parent-teacher conferences and because I already told us he wasn't all good after that. Yeah, I already knew. I already knew, nah.
That was my first mania. I just remember like. Uh being with my with my pops. And um he was like, hey, like. I'm gonna go take you to watch WrestleMania.
And then we went to like this sports bar. And uh I just remember like Being like around the bar Of course like everybody was there and and You know, John Cena was my guy. Yeah. You know what I mean? So.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know, oh, I think that was the same night. It was uh uh Taker and Triple H and Sean. Oh my God. In the cage?
Yeah, end of an era, right? That was a hell of a cell, right? Yep. Bro. Bro.
That was no. No, bro, Undertaker's entrance. That was my low-key, like probably top three entrances. In my opinion. Because he like he was like walking come to find out these were actually like extras But I thought so when he was walking and he had like the the final shot The hand I thought it was the crowd.
Yeah, I thought it was a crowd I was trying to reach for But they was trying to make it seem like like a graveyard which is fire But just like I will always remember that entrance that was my favorite entrance like Probably ever. I'm not even going to cap to you. Whoever brought that into the board meeting? You put them All of the month. Yes.
For sure. Oh my God, the visual. For sure. All right, but you know what? Yeah, visual was crazy.
Um but yeah, and then and then uh uh you know having seen a rock like I I wasn't really Familiar with the rock, you know, like I knew he was some legend, you feel me?
Well, that makes sense because I know he was gone for a few years.
So, by the time, bro, the brother don't know what the second Genesis was. All right, I get it, I understand. Yeah, you feel me? Because, like, the rock was my guy. I remember thinking.
I'm not gonna watch this. They're about to make Cena beat my boy. Boy, I even listen. If you thought I went crazy at 39, if you thought I went crazy at 39, I was going to rock at the title again in this day and age. Oh, my damn Berger.
What's going crazy, man? Crazy. Yeah. I remember. See me going.
going for the views elbow and I was like Oh, yeah. Yeah. Beginning of the end. I'm going to watch the rock bottle. One, two, three.
Beginning of the end. That was for the belt. Right, right, right, right. That's later on. But to get that win over Cena was huge because still shocking.
My little brother is the president of C Nation.
Okay, we've discussed this a lot. And. For John to beat rock at the ma main event of m Mania Do you know what I would have had to hear? Do you know what I've been drilled into my head by Sharif?
So I needed that dub. You know, big brothers need the dub. Yeah, his brother is such a Cena fan. He's never come to one of our tapings here, but when John Cena came and sat in the studios, oh, my man Sharif was in the building now. Age one.
Ain't seen him since. Nope. Hey. Can't get him tested.
So so John Cena was your dude then growing up? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was like my main guy. Of course, like... He had like the colorful short, you know, shirts and all, but like, I felt like everybody, and I this is probably um.
Different or like a different reason why people like Cena, but like everybody was wrestling in wrestling gear. And he just came out in Georgia. And a shirt. And I was like. This is tough.
This is Ma. Yeah. Hmm. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You make me upset because I definitely wanted to ask Cena when we had him.
There was a time in WWE where everybody had to follow this dress code, where everybody got on button-downs and business attire and all this. Except you. How did you get past that? What's the conversation? Not you, John.
Listen, guys, that's insane. And it made him stand out, which. Honestly, is probably why you got to do it, but it makes you stand out. Yeah, the Jortz. I only seen Stone Cold look cool in them.
So, like, yeah, that's that's big business, man. Nice. It's a franchise doing big business. I love this. For real, for real.
But yeah, no, Ceno was my God for sure. And of course, you know, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk, like those, those two were my favorite as well, you know, because Jeff Hardy was just himself. And then CM Punk was like the only person. At the time, I was talking crazy to talking crazy to anybody. You know what I mean?
And nobody was doing that. Everybody kind of just sounded like wrestlers talking, you know? And CM Punk was just like, This is how I feel. I'm going to say it on the mic, and you're not going to do nothing about it. And I was like, dang.
You want to talk about a feud. Right. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy, they were that was different.
So I'm assuming at this point you've had a chance to chop it up with all three of them, right? Mm-hmm. What have those conversations been like? Have any of the three of them, Hardy, Punk, or seen it, drop some knowledge on you that resonated? Of course.
Of course, like I broke I hit up. Of course I see, you know Punk all the time. You feel me?
So I talk to him all the time. And of course, you know, Cena and Jeff are always busy. But every time I get a chance to text them or just reach out or see them in person, I'm for sure picking their brain. Most def. Is there something that stands out that You've incorporated as soon as you heard one of them say this, and you went, oh, bet.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I was talking to Cena. Uh before The the day of his last show.
Okay. And he was getting a haircut and basically he was just telling me that You basically have to slow down for bigger arenas So they can react to what you're doing. You know, like NXT, oh, and y'all probably already heard this before, but. NXT and main roster are of course two different speeds. Yeah.
Yeah. Right, right. So uh when I came into raw like I knew I knew that I was going to slow down, but I didn't know when exactly. You feel me?
So, Cena was. basically putting me on, you know, to to To when to slow down, how to do it, you know what I mean, and kind of just be like, hey, like, You got people in the Raptors that's trying to catch up to what you're doing. You know what I mean? So like the the people in the raptors are are trying to basically they're looking at a Titan Tron depending on what you're doing. You know what I mean?
If you're going a hundred miles per hour, then the crowd can't react. can digest what they're looking at. Exactly, exactly.
So, like, now I'm trying, I'm starting to like slow down, but I'm also trying to like figure out. Exactly what parts, but and that also just comes with time and listening to the crowd for sure, you know? Because if the crowd is going crazy, then you can slow down, but you don't want to slow down for too long because then you're going to lose the crowd. Right. You feel me?
Keeping it at the right temperature, right temperature. Exactly, exactly the right temperature, bro.
So that's what that's like the the main thing that uh popped up. You know what I mean? And I feel like I'll always that's that's what's helping me right now. Jimmy. I feel that.
You know, I used I and I've said this on this podcast m at least four or five times. That in my opinion, Eddie Guerrero may have been the greatest house show wrestler that I'd ever seen because, as a kid, always sitting up at the very top. Of the arena, it always seemed like he was playing to us up top. And so, what John says is making sense to me, and I hope that does resonate with you because. Eddie, everything he did, it was like being a theater actor where you have to emote and become a little bit larger.
It's hard to explain unless you go back and watch some Eddie Guerrero house show stuff, but. The stuff that he did made us all feel like we were two feet away from him. For sure. That's some interesting and I'd say some good advice that the Never Seen 17 gave you. Oh yeah, yeah, he be putting me on.
He be putting me on. Nah, bro, I feel like I just learned like.
So much, especially from the guys, you know, you know, the boys in the back, bro. Like, like, they just always put me on. You feel me?
But I'm always asking, too. You know, I'm always asking, hey, like, watch my match. Like, let me know what you think. You feel me?
Like, that's a point where I was asking Gunther to watch my match. You feel me?
And uh He would he would be straight up bounds with me and then give me a chop.
So it's kind of like you feel me he's he's still a douchebag, bro. What you doing, bro? I'm like, hey, hey, you know, hey, can you watch my match? He's like, yo, and walk off. I'm like, and then he watched my match, though.
You know, we get that a lot. You know, the fact that you're able to, and I think it's a testament that they must really like him, to share, share knowledge with him. And it's smart on you to take advantage. You know, we have Kurt Warner calling to the Rich Eisen show a lot during football. Obviously, Super Bowl winner, Hall of Fame quarterback.
Go right. And Rams, sure, Cardinals, Giants. And Rich would ask him because Kurt is really a savant when it comes to being a quarterback. He truly is. And Rich would be like, Does anyone call you and ask you for advice?
And he's like, No, not really. And I'm like, if I'm a young quarterback in this league. Yeah, and I'm seeing this guy who obviously has this plethora of knowledge, and I have access to talk to him. I'm gonna get to the point where I'm gonna make him change his number because you're gonna get sick of hearing from me.
So, the fact that you at your age, because let's be honest, dog. It's not a knock on young people, but I've been your age. You've never been mine, so I can share this with you. What you know at 21, you may think this is it, but it's like there's so much more as you get older, so much more knowledge. Comes in the fact that you're already on this game, the fact that you're already smart enough to know, look around this locker room, there are legends here, though.
And I can pick something from each. Think about that night at I believe it was a house show in. Kevin Owens asked Stone Cold to come out and hit him with a stunner, and Stone Cold's reply was. Nobody's ever asked me that. No, that was punk.
Oh, that was punk. That was CM Punk. That was our very first episode we did. In San Diego, he goes, Steve, just always sitting in the back. He goes, and no one's talking to Steve Austin.
He goes, I just went up to him. Was like, you have to shoot your shot when you are around these people. Steve Everett Austin, yeah, arguably the biggest star in the business, and the man sitting there and you know. You don't want to go. Got to do it.
Yeah, so you, dog, you are so past. That's crazy that Kevin Owens is so ahead of it, man. It's ridiculous. Kevin Owens had to shoot a shot asking for the stunner, though. That I mean, like, come on now.
You can't just be using stuff. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, you gotta hundreds of guys. But yeah, you have to, while it's there, why not? I mean, you're only here for so long on this planet, man.
You're trying to leave your mark. Here you are seeing people that have left theirs. Come on, man. Come on, man. You know, I feel like, you know, working on this show that we do, you know, the Rich Eisen show, I get to every day watch Rich Eisen.
And he hates it when I say this, but he's he left already, so he can't stop me. I get to watch a master at work every day, bro. I get to watch this man who's been doing this for 30, almost 30 years. You know, he's legendary. He and Stuart Scott were legendary.
And you got a Stuart Scott sweatshirt on.
So I get to watch, and it's like if I don't get better at this job. After I've got to watch this dude interview people, dog, who sometimes Javon. He might not know anything about the person coming on. Outside of what card he gets, and then he will flip this interview, and you would have thought that these two had hung out for five hours a night before. You know, it's like, so that's only you with the actors you get to work with.
You know, if you're not picking brains, if you're You got one of the most successful ones who, you know. Yeah. you share a name with.
So if you don't nitpick a little, if you don't pick a little, Not doing due diligence. The fact that you get to do this, man, like I said, bro. Just keep that up, yeah. And I will say the people that, you know, in other avenues of entertainment. Whether that be, you know, acting.
uh athletes as well When you are in a business and you stay a fan of the business, You still watch, you still get excited, you still like that, that joy is still in it.
So, is there any match on these cards that you're excited to see? That's literally what happened. Yep. For sure, for sure. Um Of course, Brock and Oba.
Oh my god. Come on, come on. The super. No, it's not excited to see that. Um I'm trying to think.
You know, Punk and Roman. Like, bro. I feel like that that build was Oh, it is.
So It is it's different. You know what I mean? Because of course like Of course, they they talking crazy to each other. Yeah. You just you just told me that like You gonna bury me beside my pops.
Oh yeah. Full light. We not fighting after that. I'm gonna bury you first. You feel me?
Right, right, right. You know what I mean? Yeah, it's a new level. Yeah, yeah.
So, but that build is crazy. Just like. Like from a from a from a real person standpoint, not even from a fan, bro. Just like looking like if I got a stranger. from from the street and just show them the promos that punk and Roman been doing Now I feel like honestly I feel like he'd be like They're about to fight?
Like, they gotta fight at this point. You know what I mean? So, I'm excited for that. Um AJ and Becky. Come on, come on, man.
Yeah, I feel like I'm ready to see. Uh AJ, get back in the zone for real. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, really lock back in. Of course, like Levin, Stephanie.
Bro, I was about to say, you want to see two people that look like they fight? Those two look like they look like they really, really, really hate each other. Yeah, no, they need to talk. Yeah, yeah, they need to solve them. They need that.
They need that. They need to solve the hands. Uh but yeah, those are imaginative course. You know, of course the the The IC title, bro. You have a front row seat, beyond front row seat.
Beyond front row seat, my boy.
So you brought that up, right? Let's talk about the five men that you're going to have to compete with. In this championship match. Give me a little bit about each of the five. Hold on, I'm also sorry, bro.
I'm sorry before we get to that bro Randy and Cody, bro. Oh, okay. Bro, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but. I like I feel like I feel like Randy is is is too locked in.
You know, like I um I hit him. Yeah. I was like, dang, Unk, you good? After he went crazy, I hit him like, dang, Unc, you good? And then he was just like, yes, that's it.
Oh, okay. Okay. Say less. I'll just talk to you after Mania, bro. We're good.
You feel me?
You start to see that vein. Yeah. All he said was yes, you feel me, with a period beside it, hey. He's tripping again. Hey, that's hey, that's all you, my boy.
I just thought you had made it right, but. But yeah, that was the other match. I was excited. Any thoughts about how that has taken the Twist with Pat McAfee. Do you have any thoughts on maybe what Pat said about the business?
Is that something that you go, hmm, he's got a point? Are you like, you know what? My name is Paul, and that's between y'all. My name is Bennett. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um. I feel like there's just certain things that people. Uh That are not Familiar or don't come from the wrestling business, don't understand, you know, and you know, they tend to. They tend to express that. You feel me, in a certain way.
Um But I feel like bro wrestling like wrestling isn't This isn't like a regular like sport, you know what I mean? Like, we take this. Very, very serious because, bro, our bodies, our lives on the line. Like, there's legacy behind all this, bro. Like, literally, some people, like, honestly.
feed their families because of this. You feel me?
You know, so so I feel like There there are things that Uh some people Do say or have an opinion on, and they tend to express that. in a certain way or just you know and you know Publicly, you feel me? Um But bro, it's bro Why can't we just, you know... Have fun, bro. Bro, why can't we just like have fun, make money?
Hungry, man. Like, bro, yes, hungry, bro. It's, bro, it's a selfish business out here, bro. You feel me?
Like, you gotta do what you gotta do, bro. But also, you can't be talking crazy and expect nobody else to talk crazy back. Right. Exactly, people that. Exactly.
You can't be. You cannot. Not expect receipts. You know, especially from the OGs that's been doing it for a long time, you know, that's been through a lot. to get to where they're at and now you're dissing them on them.
You know what I mean? And and You know, hey, it's... Hey, punk punk. Punk was talking. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's what he could do. That's what he had to say. And uh,. But it's the Rose of WrestleMania, so we good either way. Exactly, exactly, man.
Publicity. That's what it is. And they are setting it up to be a, this is just a level, it's a level of. Personal that you gotta find in matches when it gets to mania, dude. You're always a little bit.
Yeah, like you know, it's one thing to go out there and put on a good show. But if you can give me that little extra. Wait, is that? That look a little if you can give me that Come on now. Yeah, man, that's when you could really steal the show.
And Cody. And Randy, obviously, with the history, it feels a little like there's some things in there that you're like, all right, this is kind of a Padawan Jedi Master kind of like, you know, type situation where Cody needs to prevail. But I mean, Randy is. Randy. And he's feeling.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. He's listening to the voices. You got Stephanie McMahon coming out and being like, listen, you need to lock in. It's crazy that people think Cody's got to be locked in for the last four years. My man's been locked in.
Like, He's not new to this anymore. He went out and he proved on his own certain things, right?
So, I don't know. It's always the fan thing, right? I want to get back to that ladder match question with you, but it's the fan thing, like. And I hate to say this, Javon, and it's probably going to happen at some point to you because. These fans are so fickle.
Fickle. And once they build you, it's just like life. You know, there's a song where first they love you, then they hate you, then they love you again. Yeah. Right?
It's almost like people just want to build you up. We built Cody. Cody went out, did all this stuff, made wrestling overall better for all fans, if you want to be honest with it, right? Like, if you're not one of these weirdos who are on the internet and you just love wrestling. made things better.
But then what happens? It gets to a certain point. People kind of turn on you because he's winning too much. They help you be successful. You're the reason I'm here.
I don't get to this, what, fourth? Main event, unless all you out there are Every time on the screen. But now I'm here, and now you want to turn on me. Wrestling fans, man, I'm one of them, but sometimes we are the worst. Yeah, like it might be somebody in the crowd, hit the wall with Cody, and be like, this dude sucks.
You know?
So just, you know, I feel like. I you know I kind of look at you like maybe a Ricky the Dragon steamboat, whereas steamboat. Maybe the ultimate baby face. I don't know how familiar you are with him. You probably are.
Yeah, the dragon, the ultimate baby face, in my opinion. I don't think he ever went hill. For some reason, I don't see a heel Javon Evans because I don't necessarily see the fans turning on him. The way they tend to do people, but you know, if they do, I have no doubt that the young OG will be able to flip that switch because he's a good professional and he'll be making calls to certain people and be like, Is there something I need to do? Stealing at the game right here, I could tell.
Come on, gotta be, gotta be, gotta be. There's a there's actually a lot of people that, um. That don't really see a hill Java. You know, like I was talking to before Randy started going crazy. I was talking to him about it.
He was like, yeah, bro, you're you're just such a... Uh good baby face. I'm kinda Kinda, you know. You know, excited to see what happens when you're healed, like. You know, because Bro, the crowd, as of right now, they like me a lot.
They love you. You feel me?
Um. So, but You know? People If you do your research, you know, sometimes the wind blows a different direction. That's all. Sometimes Javon's twin brother named Jay Malachi.
Jay Malachi, yeah. It comes out. He he can he can tweet. You know what I mean? You know, sometimes he just be doing too much and he gets too aggressive and he gets...
Gets too mad, you feel me? But I'll talk to him about it, and he's taking a break from wrestling right now.
So the world is luckier for me. Do you still keep in touch? Do you still keep in touch with Kid Black America?
So actually you guys still cool? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, no. But yeah, he grew up. And of course, you know, he's still kind of. In the wrestling game, I think he's doing more Luchador stuff.
You know what I mean? Uh he still wears a mask. Oh actually no, so he took his mask off Uh which is pretty crazy. Um but then somehow when he took the mask off, apparently he looks exactly like Jay Malaka. But I don't know why because I only know of black people.
They try to say we all look alike, which is wild, man. It's wild. That is so racist. Like, how do we do it? Hey, come on, bro.
Hey, what do you say? I'm not going to lie. I was dying over here. He was like, wrestling fans are such a, they're fickle. And then the shit was fickle, fickle.
That's our chemistry, bro. Kind of thought of Alan being Bro, hold on, teachers talking. I'm just like, dying over here, bro. That's how we do it. We try to, you know, that's what we try to do.
Try to get you guys to laugh and have. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, man. We're trying to do our best. Hey, when I come out, I ain't going to lie.
I might. Figgle. Yeah. Oh, please do. Please do, bro.
I'm going to be crying. Oh. Or you save that for the hill turn. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, bro.
I got, you know, I get a little, you know. My wires ain't all the way there. Yeah, you know, I know. It's all good, bro. Hey.
Good, man. I love it. Listen, at the house, whenever something stops at two, I'm in there like this. Yeah. Yeah, I can't help it, bro.
It's just a wrestling fan in me. That's real. That's so real. Your question about. Oh, yeah.
Which is funny. I went back and looked, right? You're 21. I said, what was 21 years ago at Mania? It was WrestleMania 21 from here.
My first Mania. In Hollywood. And the very first Money in the Bank ladder match. Nice. So now, 21 years later, you get to do, it's not Money in the Bank, there's still a title involved.
You The champion penta, JD McDonough. Dragon Lee. Yep. Rusev. Oh, yeah.
And the great legend Ray Mysterio Booyaka Boyaka. Come on now. What's going on, baby? What do each of these men bring to the table, and what do you have to do to get through them to make sure you climb the ladder to success, escalator style, as Biggie once said, and smash that belt and become the champion? Honestly.
I feel like Of course they bring They all bring different like skill sets, different moves, all that. Which like that's the common, common cool answer. But I feel like for me they bring different years of experience. To the table. You know what I mean?
That's true. And like, not even, not even, like, ladder match experience, but just in general, you feel me? Like Is it's um Yeah, I I feel like I do have to watch my back At some point in the match, you know, because, like, of course, me dragging pencils, like, real cool right now, but. When that bell rings, we're all opponents. Yeah.
You feel me?
And we got a title online.
So like It like it's cool right now and like even when when um When when Ray came out and he announced it, I was excited. Of course I am 'cause I'm about to face Rey Mysterio. But now If we, you know, and I can't, I can't hide my facial expressions.
So. In my hand, I'm like, okay, that's great. But now you're my opponent Yeah. Vemi, so Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So so now is it's it's I I I feel like I I Of course I have something to prove, like it's my first mania, you know. But also, this is a very like serious, fun, but serious match for me. You know, and and and uh I'm here to make history, dog. It is, because I gotta admit, like when Ray came out, everyone else was like kind of happy and glad handling each other. And I looked at you, you didn't necessarily have a smile on your face right off the bat, it kind of looked like you were like.
Huh, there's another person standing in my way, right?
Okay, go, Ray. But, like, it wasn't like you were all happy and like, oh, we got Rey Mysterio. You were like, nah, man, this is another dude. I'm gonna have to step over to do this.
So, yeah, I like that. I did particularly notice. That you kind of got a little serious look for a minute on you. For sure, that's that's somebody else that I have to like you said, if I step over, that's somebody else I gotta worry about trying to, you know, get in get in get in the way of one of my goals. Yeah, man, when your opponents go from four to five right in front of you, you know, it's like, oh, okay.
No, that's a whole adding another superstar to any match. It's a whole nother mindset, you know, and Rey Mysterio. He's no matter what match he's in, he's always got to be a dark horse. You know, he's got to be somebody you watch. JD McDonough, like.
You telling me Dom not in his ear? Hey, you gotta go get that. That dead beat. And also. Dumb.
Sorry, this is my boy.
Okay, a hater. And he might not, you know, he might not like that there's an intercontinental championship match going down. There's a lot of things that you got to watch, that you got to pay attention to if you're in a position like Javon Evans. And Rey Mysterio just adds another, you know, another kindling to that fire. No doubt.
Yep, so do.
Now as you're you know older Black friends. All I'm gonna say is. Be careful. Please, please, man. Like, you are such the kid.
Ah, God, we might. I can't say what I want to say. Are we talking real life device here or real? Both, bro.
Okay. I just wanted him like, I know my man's excited, but I'm a fan, just like this is my brother right here. Please be careful, man. All right. Be there for that raw aftermath here, please.
Yeah, yeah, what's up? I'm going to go even deeper than that since we are like uncles talking to the youngins. Even well, I'll say uncle. Yeah, yeah, okay. Because I see where you are now, and I see where you're going, man.
And it's just like, don't let nobody stop. Your ascension, bro. I know there's going to be outside forces, you know, and you know, this is none of my business. You might be like, TJ, shut up, but like, use that Uber. We see what happened in the Tiger Woods.
And I'm being very serious. You know, I don't know if you drink just every little thing because. We're just going to say you ain't going to get the same amount of chances as some people do if something Fs up, right? And this is just old brother advice. Yeah.
Just, you know, just keeping it real with you, man. Like, you know, where you're at. You know the position you're in. And you know that there probably are people out there who probably might not want you to succeed because of who you are, man.
So just all of that, dog. The world is just so open for you. This wrestling world is so open for you. Just. You know, I remember talking to John Jones once.
And I was like The biggest thing I've learned because I have friends here in town, like you do, who are actors, who are celebrities and famous, it's all about your crew. Like, watch who you keep around with. You know, because they're a reflection of you. I knew when in Hollywood, when I was getting in the clubs, when I was skipping lines, it had 150 people in it. I knew it was because of who my boys were.
Right. And so I was smart enough to conduct myself in a way to know that, like, I kind of represent them. Because I want my boys getting a call, like, yeah, your man TJ was up here cutting up, and we know that you're ready. You know, so just like, you know, this is just advice that I would give a young actor, athlete, musician, you know, watch your crew. Make sure you know the people around you are around you for the right reasons, and make sure that they're always elevating you and not trying to hold you down.
Jealousy is an M effort. Right, for sure. There's going to be a lot of jealous cats out there. And if you leave your drink somewhere, get another one. Get a new one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I mean, I know this might not be the thing we typically talk about on this wrestling pod, but like when I see a young brother like yourself, these are just lessons that I've learned from being in Hollywood here for 25, 26 years. These are lessons that he's learned from day one in his life.
So, you know, if we could pass some of that on, man, to make sure that you're able to, you know. Kind of avoid some of these pitfalls and things that I've seen take cats down. And I feel it would be neglectful for us not to. And I'm sure you probably have people in your area telling you these same things. You don't do this without them.
Yeah, you know, but if not, you've got us telling you these things, though. You already know. I'm an open book, bro.
So, so whatever, whatever you. Whatever you see, bro, you already know you can hit me, bro. Like, oh, she texted me the other day, bro. Like, you feel me? Like.
But I was doing something so I couldn't answer back, bro. But yeah, bro, like, whenever, bro, whenever y'all see something, bro, like, like, bro, y'all can hit me. Put me on, bro. Put me on the game, bro. I'm just trying to learn, trying to be the best, bruh.
So. Even outside of the ring, bruh, just like you said, but just. Real life situation stuff. You feel me?
But I'm down, bro. Because you know, the Mo Money Mo problem stuff is starting to come up. Whatever you're making now, G, is this going to be the brokest you're going to be for the next probably 12, 13, 15 years. Yeah, I'm feeling that right ahead.
So, yeah. For sure, for sure. And that's just some life advice for us at No Contest. No contest, Russell. See, we're a family show when we might be on different platforms.
We are on Disney Plus now.
So we have to, you know, Mickey, we cool Mickey, man. But also, also, also, you know, don't like, nobody else take that advice. That advice was for me. Nobody, nobody else. You feel me?
Don't be like, oh, I heard something from O'Shea and T. No, that was for me. Yes, man. You know what I mean? Y'all just listening.
You did? You know what I ain't? You eavesdropping in our car. What y'all doing? They wasn't talking to you, man.
Man, Javon, bro. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. Excuse me, partner. Do you have anything? I mean, look, man, we've taken up enough of this brother's land.
I'm sure he's got some type of training to go do. Got to get his mind right because in a few days. He got to stretch. In a few days, he's going to have the biggest match of his career, man, under the big lights. And, you know, like, like I'm going to tell people on the SPN that aren't familiar.
This is, you know, you know, the NFL, right? They got the Super Bowl. You know, baseball, they got the World Series. You know, NBA, they got the NBA Finals, hockey, the NBA final. See, that's singular.
Yeah. Finals, final. A lot of people don't know that. I work on glasses. I'm a TV sports personality.
I got to know this stuff. But for many people, this is WrestleMania. If you don't know, this is. The WWE Super Bowl World Series, NBA Final, World Cup, all those granddaddy.
So, yeah, man, I'm excited for you, G. Yeah, man. Can't wait to see you walk down that ramp. Uh, Fickle would love to would love to uh be in attendance, Mickey Mouse. But uh, yes, we gotta get our tickets somewhere.
Yeah, we would love to see you go down that ramp, man. They're trying to watch this on closed circuit, yeah, bro, exactly.
Now, now it's gonna be available on ESPN. You see that plug, TJ? Come on, you see. Come on, Dave. Come on, that's why we like to call ourselves ESP.
NCW BAM now. Holla at your boy. Javon Evans, bro. Y'all. Always got a key.
I ain't gonna count. You like, man. That's what we do. That's what we do. Always welcome here, man.
You are our dog. We love to see all of your success. We will be there. And yeah, I'll probably be online going at. People on Twitter.
That's his thing. Yeah, I love that. I've been watching you. I ain't saying nothing. I was going to talk to you in Parson.
We go hard. Hey, Shay, we good, bro. Just make sure, man. All right. I started getting back in my old ways, man.
But thank you for your time, bro. You're welcome here. Ladies and gentlemen, Javon Evans. The next intercontinental champion of the world. Appreciate y'all, bro.
Much love, bro. Man, Javon, dude. Future's bright, right? Exactly, man. Exactly.
And he. him knowing Not to just be, you know, following somebody else, somebody else's path. It's a smart move. You know, it's, it's something that I, I. When I started my acting career There was a part of me that was like, are they just going to give me roles that, like, oh, cubes, I'm a little too old for this one, so let's just give it a hip.
Like, you know, I didn't want that. And. I made it a a Purpose to have that every film that I did is different from the last, just so they couldn't put me in a box. But it's also, you gotta set. where you're going to make your money at, you know?
And I uh That dude is on a great path at this age doing what he's doing. What you brought up about how to talk to those legends, it's great advice that I hope he heeds to. Yeah, I mean, you know, I say that quickly because I remember Chris Berman came on the show, The Eyes and Show. And I remember when I first started on the show, I was literally trying to figure out my voice. And when I say my voice, I was like, Do I want to get on the mic and be like, Hi, this is TJ here, and you're watching, you know, NCW wrestling on the rich eyes, or do I just want to be myself?
And Berman said something that stuck with me. Of course, he's a legend in the game. He was like, Always be yourself. He goes, Because people will recognize if you're not being real. Yeah, they'll see it.
And I was like, Yeah. And, you know, friend of the show always, but we We also got some other friends of the show. You know, Stephanie Vacare, friend of the show. Liv Morgan, friend of the show. Roxanne still got the record for spots as a friend.
Female guest on here. And boy, oh boy, has there been a clash of heads? Yeah, I mean, you've been saying, and we've been saying that, like, This feud feels personal. Yeah. Everything they do feels like they're really going for it.
And uh What happened Monday, man? Yeah. Like, have you ever heard a, I don't know, a watermelon drop from a roof and hear how that sound? No, no, no. I haven't either, but I would have to assume it sounds like a thud.
Yeah, yeah.
And that's pretty much replicates. Duplicates just like the sound I heard on Monday when Liv and Roxanne are in the clubhouse having a little talk about. Liv's like, yo, I know. Finn brought you in. Yeah.
We had to let him Go. Yeah, yeah, right. In the Judgment Day way. And it's just when Roxanne. Interesting enough was kind of giving her side or how she felt.
Hurricane the care came rolling through. Yeah. And when I'm. When I tell you that Stephanie hit live so hard from her blind side from the back. The sound that Stephanie and Roxanne's head made, I literally had to pause Netflix.
Yeah. And rewind it because I was like, oh my goodness. Yeah, was that skull on skull I heard? It sounded awful. Take a look at Liv, man.
Take a look at the lump on her head, man. I'm glad that Raquel and JD and Dom are okay with it. Yeah. It seems like Liv has something on her mind. Yeah, that's what they call a hematoma.
Yeah. I mean. Seem to be thinking about a lot. You want to get that up? Yeah.
We're gonna have to start calling her the head detective. And then you got poor Roxy. Oh my god, not Wyance, mom. If you watch this show, you know how much we love Roxanne. And I, this is one time I think I can speak for the both of us.
We love Roxanne. Yeah. So I instantly, when she went down, I was really concerned because as I said, it looked like. Liv's head hit her in maybe under her eye or something.
Something And in the way she Flew, went down, and then live gets her. Tossed through a TV, too, yeah. And it didn't look like she was prepared, you know. The hands weren't all the way up, she had to go through a bunch of stars at the time, you know. And then I was like, Don't let this team, because the TV starts wobbling, yeah.
And I was like, If this TV falls, please, Stephanie, you got to catch this thing. Yeah, right, we got to cut because obviously it was pre-taped, I think.
So, but yeah, so it was um. Man, that we hope for a speedy recovery. We knew things were personal between Lil and Stephanie. But man, this just took another, took it up a notch. You're ruining the money maker.
For as much as everyone, as we said at the beginning, people are complaining about this, that, and the third about buildups. There's two buildups that haven't failed. One is this one and two is Oba and Brock. You can't tell me that you're not into these two matches the way. And then Stephanie's wrong for this.
But it's so right at the same time. I mean, look at this doll with a deflated head. You know, I saw this on Twitter and I had to respond with the Ryan Gosling kind of laughing gift because that, I mean, that is. What does she even type to look that up? Smack, you know, but of course, of course, you know, Liv ain't gonna let that slide.
She had it, she had a response, I think, the next day where you wish you're gonna have to kill me. And she used the word that we had to, oh, this blurred out. Yeah, we had to blur that out, but it's Spanish is the word, and it's not nice. But you can see now the swelling's gone down a little bit, now it's just bruised. Yeah, but yeah, apparently, her and her and Roxanne were in concussion protocol.
Just hope the best for them. Hope they're able to hope everything's fine, and especially because Liv's got a big match coming up. Hopefully, she gets cleared and ready to go. Because, like I said, I'm heavily invested. I'm heavily invested anytime one of our NCW.
ESPNCW, friends and family are on a card and I I think I just did a quick count. I think there might be 11 people that we've interviewed who are in action one of the two days.
So it's pretty cool to see. Is that for real? It might be even more. I think it's 11. But yeah, man.
So that's definitely one of the ones that I'm most looking forward to seeing. A quick shout out to two others that we've had on the show that got some new gold. I love gold. You love some new gold. You know, it's like we like to call, and this is not pause worthy, the NCW rub.
Yeah. Okay. We've had Lola Weiss. as a guest. Two weeks ago we had Tony D'Angelo as guest.
And what happened this past weekend at Stand and Deliver St. Louis? Lola Weiss, Tony DiAngelo both walked out of there as the new NXT world champion.
So I want to congratulate two friends of the show. Congratulations, Tony D. Tony D, first Grand Slam. First Grand Slam.
Now you got people online arguing and they keep bringing up Triple Crown. And I said, I think a lot of you people need to Google the difference between Triple Crown and Grand Slam. You won't. But you need to. The Heritage Cup counts, folks.
All right. So, Tony D, as we pointed out last two weeks ago to him, first ever Grand Slam champion. And Lola Weiss, who's holding two belts right now. You know, congratulations.
So, basically, what I'm saying is, come on, no contest wrestling, and good things happen to your career. Just ask Lola and Tony. 100%. 100%. He's not wrong.
He's not wrong. So, folks, where's the lie? Where's the line, dude? I don't see the lie. I don't see.
We gotta get to Vegas, man. Yeah. It's 100% now. Yeah. Have to make it happen.
