That's us. That's right. Our love is American. Right. Todd Stern.
Oh well. Hello, everybody. Welcome. This is the Todd Stern's radio show. Hour one of the program.
Great to have you with us as we begin our broadcast day. And we have a we have a fun show for you today, folks. No doubt about that. We're going to be talking about politics. We have a lot of ground to cover.
Also, we're excited to have Luke Smallbone joining us. He is part of the Grammy award-winning pop duo King and Country. Is it Fortean country?
So Luke's, or rather, Luke Smallbone is going to be with us in just a little while. The topic, by the way, they've got a brand new movie coming out called Drummer Boy. Also, Aaron Burns is going to be here. He is the director of the new movie about the life and times of Jimmy Stewart, and so that movie called Jimmy Movie that's coming out as well.
So a lot of fun. And Chad Conley is going to be here, and our good friend Kyle. Campbell, taking a look at politics out on the left coast.
So, a lot of ground to cover, and of course, we're going to be taking your calls nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Dylan, you know what I forgot to do yesterday. What was that? We forgot to tell people it was the big birthday.
Yeah, you did.
Someone called in. One person called in. Did they? I was so out of it. I had, you know, I had driven through the night.
Here's how bad it was. I, I should have stopped midway from, you know, North Georgia to Memphis, but I said I'm going to persevere. I'm going to just, just suck it up and get home. And I was about 20 miles. From home, when I I thought I can't drive anymore, I'm gonna have to get a hotel twenty miles from home.
Yeah, you you do that, Todd, and I don't know why. You should ask us for help. I know I should.
Well, you never answer the text messages unless it's like daylight hours. It's a good point, but I also feel like it was like two or three a.m. when you were here.
So, so any so I did. I got it about two o'clock in the morning, and so yesterday was sort of a blur. People said, "How did you spend your birthday?" I literally went home and went to bed. Yeah, that was it, and it was the greatest birthday present I've gotten. Yeah, in decades.
Yeah, not to mention you guys surprised me. It was nice. We had the uh, my favorite. Pie is pecan pie, and you guys gave me a pecan pie. It's all yours because none of us like bacon pie.
It was delicious. Good. We also Dr. Pepper. You know, loaded up the fridge.
Had the Dr. Pepper. It was wonderful.
So I've got to.
So first of all, fifty-nine years old. May I just say something? And this is to anybody, anybody who is you know fifty-nine, because a lot of people, when you hear the the numbers fifty-nine, you think, wow, that's That's getting up there, but I got to tell you, I don't feel like I'm 59. I, you know, I feel like as you know that I've gotten you know 12 hours of sleep. I feel like you know I'm in my 30s maybe or 20s.
I just don't feel like I'm supposed to feel, and I'm not really sure if we're supposed to feel a certain age or not. But I keep thinking back to grandparents. And did the grandparents, when they were in their like late fifties, early sixties, did they feel the same way, or did they feel like they were, you know, grandparents? It's a good point. I don't know.
We should ask a grandparent. Yeah. Maybe we should. I'm asking our our listeners, yes, because I'm not sure if you're supposed to act or you know be a certain way. But I still feel very young.
I will say this: I was offered a senior discount. at a At a restaurant in California, and I took that. I took that discount. I was not offended at all. They said, "Sir, you know, we have because I went in early.
It was like the early bird special, and you know." So, and I, I, I was just driving, and I've been driving. I thought, you know, what I'd want to grab a quick bite, and it just happened to be in that time when all the senior citizens were lining up for their, you know, supper, which is normally what four thirty. People, you know, they eat early. Because you got to, you know, they go to bed early, and so they said, "Would you like the?" I said, "Absolutely, give me that discount." But I think you actually have to be like sixty-five in in real life to get the the senior discount. Oh, so you cheated the discount?
No, they asked if I would like it. Unsure I'd like it doesn't mean I'm qualified. But again, they don't ask for any ID in California, so that's on them. There you go.
Well, good on you.
So you got so now you have a lot of young people that are cheating the system. As a matter of fact, that's what I would do if I was a young person. I would ask for the discount. And and you, how dare you question me, you aged person? You.
It's a great idea.
So anyway, had a great birthday celebration, and just want to say thank you again to all of our friends and. In Gainesville, Georgia, we had such a great time. And Dylan, you Miss Susie from Jefferson, Georgia. Miss Susie and her friend Miss Martha they drove over. They made the long drive over from Jefferson, Georgia, and they were one of the first people in line.
And they asked about you. We had several people ask about you. That's very kind. Yeah, Miss Susie. By the way, I'm just passing along this message.
You know what's coming. I'm passing along a message. Miss Susie pointed out that you and Mrs. Producer have. Been married long enough now that you should be.
You should start having children. Thank you, Miss Susie. She's just looking out for you. Yeah, I appreciate. It's not the first person that tells me that, but I appreciate you, Miss Susie.
So one of the other, and Gwen from Athens, no Gina from Athens. I came. A lot of these folks. Oh, little big mouth came by, and it was great to great to see everybody. He introduced himself as little big mouth.
No, no, no. He did not come by. He left a package. He'll had a happy birthday gift thing with some nice shirts, pro Trump shirts, and people were just as kind as I'll get out. But you know how I have a tendency to overshare on the program every now and again.
No, Todd Farnes, and you know how I've been telling people I'm trying to eat healthy. What they miss is, and that's true. I am trying to eat healthy, but there's there's this specific word in there that is very important to this conversation. It's the word "trying," which means that not all the time.
So everything I'm about to share is really on me, and we're gonna get bear with. We're gonna get to politics in a minute, but I've got to get this. I've got to get this off my chest.
So we went to my favorite restaurant in Gainesville, Georgia, the Long Street Cafe. And they literally wanted to roll out the red carpet, and we're like, "No, no, no, no, we're not that pretentious." You just point the way to the buffet because it really is one of the best southern restaurants in the nation.
So I'm going through the line, and I'm looking at the all of the just piles of golden fried chicken, and piles of golden fried chicken tenders, and then there was the the incredible meatloaf. I mean, just as far as the eye could see, there were things that would clog your arteries. And again, I've been talking about on the radio show about trying to eat healthy, and as I'm walking through, just my mouth is watering, and I'm like, I'm about to eat a great meal, and the the owner of the restaurant comes by and says, No, no, Todd, you come with us. We have got a special thing prepared just for you, and I thought, Oh my gosh. They have steaks, the whole nine.
I was so excited. I was so excited. They lead me to the table, and then they come with the big plate, and I could tell there was a lot of stuff piled on that plate, Dylan. And then they put that plate down in front of me. There was plain white rice, and on top of the plain white rice was a piece of poached salmon, and next to the salmon was something called a green bean.
And there must have been I don't know two gallons of green beans on that plate, and I'm thinking, am I being punked here? And then I realized they think I'm eating healthy. Yeah, you did that one to yourself. I'm eating healthy. Yeah, that's tough.
They wanted me to live, and you know it's so I'm trying to. Man, I did it to myself. Yeah, that's what happens when you tell people you're trying to eat better. And I was afraid to ask for some chicken because I thought it might come out poached or something too. Yeah, I want that sucker deep fried.
I'm like, got any gravy for the for the sandwich? Just pour some gravy on top. How about a biscuit sandwich? Yeah, no. I mean, I would view your trip out there to to Gainesville, Georgia, as as a vacation.
So it doesn't count if you eat bad. It doesn't count.
So I will say this as we were as as I was and again by the way it was great food so they do health food really well I just didn't know you could get that kind of stuff at at a country you know eating establishment so I had to had to stop by Burger King on the way back home you didn't get the salmon from Burger King no I didn't get the fish sandwich I'm like give me a Whopper please. Super size that bad boy! All that to say, thank you again to everyone in Gainesville. We had such a wonderful time, and and we're going to be doing some of these events next year at our other affiliates around the nation. But it has been a great season of getting out and meeting all of you great folks, and and really having those conversations and sharing a lot of laughs.
And you know, people are always surprised because I said a lot of the national radio hosts they don't like to do this. You know, they don't like to get to the Smaller towns and communities, and I love it. I absolutely love. If we could do the show on the road every day, I would be out there doing that because there is just really something about being able to, you know, shake the hands of the people that listen to your show and got a lot of hugs, Dylan. I am just going to tell you, there was a lot of hugging going on there at the Long Street Cafe.
Well, you're like family, so yeah, like a family reunion. It it is, it is. All right, so our telephone number, by the way, five nine two six. If you're at the event, we'd love to hear from you. Five nine two six.
Our telephone number. We're going to be playing some audio here from. Speaker Mike Johnson.
Now, the speaker was on Fox and Friends earlier today, and he is feeling really bullish right now about the chances of the Republicans. As a matter as a matter of fact, he says that the the majority in the House is safe. And he believes that the polling data out there is going to be historically wrong. Take a listen. Major issue, but you're on the ground and you're trying to keep hold of a slim majority in the House.
And I know you've been talking optimistically. What, what specifically makes you optimistic that you're going to buck all these pollsters who say that the House is in Democratic hands already? Look, Brian, I'm very excited. I've been traveling nonstop. I'm campaigning just this month.
More than 40 districts across 22 states. I'll be campaigning in five states today. I'm here in Cincinnati, Ohio, with Eric Conroy, an Air Force veteran who's going to flip a blue seat to red. Then we'll go to Minnesota, Wisconsin. I'll be in Arizona, New Mexico, all today.
We're with extraordinary candidates, superior candidates over the Democrats. We have a better record to run on, and the American people know what is happening here. Republicans have delivered on our promises in 2024. We brought down costs. We we cut their taxes in the largest tax cut in U.S.
history. We Made their streets safer. We returned to American dominance. The Democrats voted against all of that, and people are looking at record over rhetoric. I am absolutely convinced.
Huge crowds all over the country, from New York to California, from Alaska with Nick Begich running for the House up there, all the way to South Florida. We we have gigantic crowds, big excitement. It feels just like 2024 to me, and I'm telling you, the polls are going to be historically wrong in this midterm election. Are are you feeling that as well, ladies and gentlemen, or do you believe that the speaker is is off base here? Because the polls have really been all over the place.
They circle back around over the past a week or two to be in favor of the Republicans.
Now they're starting to swing the other way. How do you feel about all of this? Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six is our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. We'll be right back.
Remember back in 2020 when the media narrative was absolute. When anybody suggesting early alternatives was instantly silenced and deplatformed. The late Doctor Zev Zelenko was right at the epicenter of it all when he created ZStack and the Zelenko Protocol. He took a men's heat for sharing his protocol, specifically designed to boost your immune system. Even President Trump himself cited him in a press briefing regarding what.
Would become known as the Zelenko Protocol, which led to Trump himself adopting it.
Now, I just saw the video on X and saw it for myself. Amazing! Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter.
Now, over five years later, history has completely vindicated him.
Now we all know how critical a strong immune system is, and if you've ever felt helpless watching the headlines, hear this: you are not powerless. There is something you can do about it. Oh, oh, All right, President Trump in South Carolina and the Republicans here are in a world of hurt. There is a lot of concern that Darlene Graham, who is just simply not all that popular, could be facing a full-scale rebellion within the Republican ranks.
And President Trump is going to be holding a rally today in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A lot of folks are. Boots on the ground out there as they get ready to to see President Trump. Here's a young man who is a student at Winthrop University on the golf. I think the entire golf team turned out to support President Trump.
Take a listen. Why do you think this race is so close? I think it's so close. I think people are a little bit fed up with the economy, a little bit, but I think still at the same point. Like Trump and his team are doing the right things to get get food in people's houses.
And I think my vote stands with them all the way. If President Trump resumes this air war against Iran, would you guys support that? I support most everything he does. I'm GOP all the way, so that's my stance on it. Yeah, I love that, and it's good to see young people out there at these rallies.
We need Gen Zers to get out and vote on Election Day. By the way, you folks in Tennessee today—the last day of early voting—so be sure to get out. The numbers are just off the charts.
Well. Over a million people. Same thing in Georgia, by the way. You guys are really getting out the vote. This guy wants to deputize American citizens.
Cut forty-five. What brings you out here to support Trump today? I love Trump. I love the Republican Party. I love America.
All right.
Well, give a message to President Donald Trump. Keep up the good work. Drain the deep state government. Buried the deep Democrat traitors to this country. Deport all the illegal immigrants.
And if you need to deportize the American citizens, we will do it for the ICE agents. There you go.
Oscar the Grouch, ready to go today. Love it. Love it. Love the attitude. We'll see you, sir.
Thank you, Trump. God bless you, sir. Yeah, folks, I'm telling you that is that is a genuine that is that is authenticity. These people are fired. Up and they love our president.
My question is: Is that going to be enough to move the needle on election day? And that that really is the big question. CNN, for example, I want to play this audio. CNN now admitting. According to a New York Times poll, that the Democratic Party has just gone too far to the left.
About thirty-three.
Some data about how the Democratic Party is perceived. This this comes from the New York Times and Sienna. Put that on the screen. Forty-nine percent. This is of overall voters.
Forty-nine percent say the Democratic Party is too far left. Half of Americans think the party is too far left. Within the party, sixty-three percent say you know the porridge is not too hot, not too cold. It's just right. Sixty-three percent say.
We're not too far either way. I'm telling you, I think Speaker Mike Johnson is onto something here. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's go to Nevada, Lucky, listening to us on the Great Radio Affiliate K E L Y. Hi, Lucky.
What's on your mind today?
Well, I'm seventy five years old, and I never read a book. That said, that when you got seventy five or when you got sixty five, you had to do certain things. But I had a grandmother who, when she turned sixty five, she sat down and she started saying, "Go get me some water. Go get me this, and go get me that." And we all got it for her, and she stopped using her body.
So she got old really fast. What do you mean she stopped using her body?
Well, she didn't get up to get things. Oh, I'm 65. Of course.
So go get this for me, and you should do this for me. And she stopped doing things for herself.
Well, when I got 65, I didn't say I was 65. Go do this, go do that. I kept doing the things I was doing, you know. And I've had a hip replacement, so I don't dance as well as I used to. But I still like to dance.
And I still like everything in life that I liked before. And my body will tell me when I can't do certain things. I joined a senior center because I was over sixty-five, and at my senior center here in Eli, we—they're all youthful people at our age. They like to play bingo, yeah. But we get up and jump and say, "Yeah!" That thing, though, and and move around, and we have um, we do exercise classes.
So you're so you're young at heart, Lucky, is what you're saying. Young at heart, young at mind.
So good for you, Lucky. Good for you, and I love to hear that she's energized. She's out there exercising. Be careful for the twerking. You might throw that hip out again.
So you don't want to, you know, you don't want to do that. All right, hang tight, everybody. Got to take a quick break. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show.

Great to have you with us today. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, that's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Want to play some audio here again? Folks are just really frustrated around the nation about what is happening with.
With the Democrats in charge, not only of their of their state politics but also their local politics, this is a California resident, and she is fired up over the Compton City Council. Take a listen to Cut Forty Four. Hell, people are drowning in this city. You have seniors who couldn't make who are not going to be able to move. But you're not trying to take care of them because you have no balls.
You cowards. You punks. You ain't. You. This is ridiculous.
It's ridiculous. We have to come up here and fight for stuff that we have. Vanessa. We're paying. Nah, don't say nothing to me because as long as we are paying taxes in this city, you better do our damn work for us.
Yeah, look, a lot of people are really frustrated out there, and we've been we've been telling you this for quite some time. For example, it's not just you know the it's not just the regular things that are happening out there, the day to day life, but also the illegal aliens and the fact that that Democrats in charge have simply turned a blind eye to what's been happening out there with the attacks on law-abiding American citizens. I want you to listen to Alexis Nungary. She is the mother of Jocelyn, who was murdered by an illegal alien, and President Trump invited her to deliver a message at one of his rallies. Cut thirty-five.
Hello, everybody, and good afternoon. I would like to take this opportunity to thank President Trump for keeping my daughter Jocelyn Ungary's name alive, keeping and sharing her story, and proving that her death was not just a number. She was important, and she was special. Currently, I am very limited as to what I can speak about until justice is served, while my daughter's case is still open. I am forever grateful, though, to everyone who has taken the time to listen to my words throughout this journey over these past two years.
Those around the country have heard my daughter's name. They've seen her beautiful face, and they've had their hearts broken alongside with mine and my family. Everyone has seen their daughter, their sister, their granddaughter, their niece. Even their younger versions of themselves. In Jocelyn, she was a twelve-year-old girl who had her entire life ahead of her, with dreams beyond her wildest imaginations.
But it was cut devastatingly short because of the border policies we had due to the last previous administration. That administration failed Jocelyn. It is important for us to recognize. How dire it is for us to protect ourselves, our families, and our children. As much as I wish, as much as I wish, I can bring Jocelyn back.
What I can do is I can share her story. I can speak up for the voices who were ripped away, like Jocelyn's, and save future lives. No parent should ever have to go through. The grief that I'm going through, and learn how to live life differently without your child. Everyone who has voted on behalf of the tragedy my daughter has suffered, I thank y'all tremendously.
If you haven't voted yet, go out and vote. It's extremely important, and it really does make a difference when you go out and vote. And most importantly, above all, I would like to thank. Our Lord Almighty Jesus Christ for giving me the strength to stand up here and speak to y'all, to share her story and share her name. Long live Jocelyn Lasell Nungere.
She was a 12-year-old courageous girl, my daughter. She's changing the world just a little bit at a time. Thank y'all so much. Yeah, that's. I mean, this is the reality of it, you know.
And when you have the Democrats out there, and they're defending the illegals, and just about every single Democrat running for office wants to put the plight of the illegal alien ahead of everybody else in America, especially law-abiding Americans born on American soil. But you don't hear the Democrats talking about the the the impact that these illegals are having. We're talking about we're talking about very dangerous people that have been removed from the country. Very dangerous people who are out there committing crimes against law-abiding American citizens, and the Democrats are saying, "Well, you know what? That's not our problem." They have decided to stand with the illegals.
That is on the ballot, ladies and gentlemen, on Tuesday when you go and cast your vote. And my recommendation to you is to be very, very careful. Many of you are wanting to make some sort of a political statement against the Republican establishment, and I get that. But this is not the election to do that. It just simply is not.
We have far too much riding on what's going to happen on Tuesday. All right, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Remember back in twenty twenty when the media narrative was absolute, when anybody suggesting early alternatives was silenced and deplatformed.

Well, I want to go right away to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. We told you earlier about this incredible movie about. The life of Jimmy Stewart. The name of the movie called "Jimmy: The Untold True Story of America's Beloved Actor." And we're just honored to have Aaron Burns joining us. He is the director and producer of the film.
Aaron, welcome back to the show. Thank you, Todd. Pleasure to be here.
So this is going to be exciting. I mean, we're just really a few days away from the movie opening in theaters nationwide, and I'm wondering what people because I think a lot of folks truly they know Jimmy Stewart, but you guys really do a deep dive into his life. Was there one thing in particular that really stands out in Jimmy Stewart's life? Yeah, so if if you've ever seen the movie, it's a wonderful life, then you remember the actor Jimmy Stewart from it. But what I had no idea is that Jimmy's real life is much more interesting than any story he ever told.
And he won an Oscar as a young man in Hollywood in 1941, and then immediately chose. To leave that behind and enlist in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and he spent the next three years flying combat missions above Germany. It was a wonderful patriot and and wonderful husband, wonderful father that came back home from his wartime service, broken by PTSD. And then made the movie "It's Wonderful Life," which was the beginning of healing from all of that.
So that's the story that this unfolds. And I had no idea, and I've been very inspired by his courage and his service and his faithfulness. You know, it goes back to a time in in Hollywood when there there was a great sense of patriotism, God and country, and it was not unusual to see movie stars putting down their their you know starring roles. A movie to go and join the war effort. Yeah, it's it's fascinating, and number number of other guys did.
Frank Capra, the director of It's a Wonderful Life, he enlisted as well. He served in the. The media division, and he made a series called "Why We Fight," which documented the the war crimes of the Germans and inspired Americans to enlist. But Jimmy actually refused to make the promotional films that they wanted him to do. He said, "I don't want to be a pretend soldier.
I've been an actor. I don't want to be a pretend soldier." I want to go serve for real, and so he was actually on the front lines, leading thousands of troops and thousands of planes in combat over the skies of Germany. Which just fascinating and and very inspiring, heroic what he did. You know, I had I did I thought I knew a lot about Jimmy Stewart, but I had no idea that he was an actual Air Force general. I mean he he was in there for for the long haul.
Yeah. So when he came home, he re-enlisted in the Air Force Reserves and served for another twenty some years. He retired as a general and flew his last combat mission over Vietnam.
So just an amazing example, I think, for for our country today. He looked at the the brokenness of the world around him. The forties is a time much like ours, where there's a lot of stress, a lot of anxiety, a lot of wars, all of these things. And rather than complaining and finger pointing and fear mongering, he said, "Put me in. I want to serve, and I want to make a difference." the The movie is called Jimmy.
It's about the life of the great actor Jimmy Stewart and really great American patriot Jimmy Stewart. KJ Apa stars as Jimmy Stewart. Those of you who watched the Riverdale TV series will know that name. I have to. I have to imagine, Aaron.
It's it's going to be exciting to introduce Jimmy Stewart to a much younger. Audience of Americans. Yes, and I I love. I was talking to Kelly. Jimmy's daughter is an executive producer on the film.
Has been on the whole journey with us, helping us find the right actor to play Jimmy, helping write the the giving notes and feedback on the screenplay, coming to set with us, and an early conversation with Kelly. She asked, "Does you know? Does anybody remember who my dad is anymore?" And I said, "Well, yes, of course. Millions and millions of Americans know and love your dad, and of course, millions more." Love its wonderful life, but for the new generation of of the young people who are growing up now, my kid, I've got I've got five kids, and I am so excited that this new generation gets to engage with Jimmy. And I think as as we see a new generation of of people growing up to love and serve and live like Jimmy did, I think all Americans, no matter what.
Flavor or color or political background—anything, America will be a better country if more of us live the way that Jimmy did. Aaron Burns joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. The movie coming out on November the sixth. Aaron, what was it like for you personally working on on this project?
Well, Jimmy's one of my heroes, and I'll say I I'm not a veteran. I I didn't have the privilege of doing that, but. Exploring what he did and what he went through made me much more grateful for the veterans who served our country. And was one day of filming was particularly meaningful. We the U.S.
Army Air Force's band, the U.S. Air Force band, I should say, came over to set and put our 1940s uniforms on and played "I'll Be Home for Christmas" for us. And we were filming a Christmas party like they would have had on base in the 19 Forties and being there with those active duty soldiers and and hearing that song, I'll be home for Christmas if only in my dreams. Just reflecting on the sacrifice and the beauty of of what these men and women have done and are doing for us was deeply moving for me. And I hope any veterans who who watch this movie feel seen and feel a thank you.
And we actually had a pretty fun program. There's a group called VetTix. VetTix.org. That we've received millions of dollars in donations to vet ticks. That any active duty or veterans or first responders can go and get a free ticket to see the movie.
So I, I've personally grown in my patriotism, my gratitude, my love for our country through telling Jimmy's stories, and we hope that that'll inspire a new generation as well. All right.
Well, we've got to leave it there. Aaron Burns, director of the new movie about Jimmy Stewart. You can get more information JimmyTheMovie dot com. That's Jimmy. TheMovie dot com.
Aaron, thank you, thank you, Todd, and we'll be right back. All right! Wow, you know what? I'm I'm I think everybody is going to want to escape politics after Tuesday, right? And what better way to do that than going to see this incredible movie that tells the story of Jimmy Stewart's life, Dylan?
I know you have you seen It's a Wonderful Life, Dylan? You know the it usually comes out at the Christmas time. Yes, I have seen that. I it's it's a wonderful movie. That was the very first movie Jimmy Stewart did after coming back from the war.
But a lot of people may not realize this. He actually was a cheerleader in college. Oh yeah, not one of the. Cowboys, not today's cheerleaders, you know, with the gyrating hips. But he was, you know, just strong ones that lift up.
Yeah, yeah. With the the megaphones, nice. No power throws, you know, just megaphone bullhorn, and he also played the accordion. That's a cool instrument to play. I'm sorry.
That's that's just cool. I don't know anyone that still plays the accordion. Oh yes, you do, and that is going to be a trivia question. I'm going to give away a copy of the Golden Age: How Trump Saved America because there is a a regular guest on this radio program, and I'll just tell you this is the clue. He plays the accordion.
That's not the clue. The clue is he's. The Todd Sterns Radio Show's official, unofficial chaplain. And if you know who that is, can you believe that that person plays the accordion? No, I can't.
That's fascinating. I just have to see it in person.
Next time he comes on, he'll have to play it. Absolutely.
Well, he's coming to promote a book, and so we're going to get. But before we promote the book, he's going to have to play something. We'll have to throw it in the side. Just feel like, by the way, we've been talking about this.
So if you know who that is, give us a call. We've got this is a huge deal because this is a great book. It's selling like hotcakes. The Golden Age. But if you can tell us the the Todd Stern Show guest, the official unofficial chaplain of the Todd Sterns Radio Show, who plays the accordion, give us a call nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. We are monitoring President Trump's big speech in Rock Hill, South Carolina today. One of two rallies the president is doing, folks. I just I don't see how I don't see how the president can do this. I mean, he is on the road around the clock.
It is just really remarkable the president's stamina. But I did see an interesting story. You know, a lot of people are saying, "Oh, you know, the Trump he's got Trump, he's got dementia, he's got major medical problems." The the latest rumor is that the president is going to resign after the midterm elections and may, in fact, you know, just turn everything over to JD Vance. I I don't think that's going to happen. Our president is not a quitter.
He is somebody who actually fights a good fight and. He's. I think he's going to finish out his term in office. I really do, and I think he's going to go on and enjoy the rest of his life playing golf at Mar-a-Lago and and having a good time with his family and his grandkids. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six is our telephone number.
That's nine zero one. The phones are lighting up here. Poor Helen is is is very busy right now, so we may have to get to your calls right after. If you're on hold, don't go anywhere. We're going to.
Get to you right after the top of the hour news again nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. In the meantime, I would encourage you to get a copy of the Golden Age. It makes an absolutely beautiful Christmas present, and the cover is just really a work of art in and of itself. But you can get a copy at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, your favorite bookstore, and I promise you, your loved one is going to love it. All right, hang tight, everybody.
Got to take a quick break. This is the Todd Stern's Radio. Show. From Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Star. Shut up, that's right.
I love this American rock.
Well, hello everybody! Welcome to hour two of the big show. Great to have you with us. I am your host, Todd Starnes, and we have a jam-packed hour coming up. Chad Conley from Faith Wins is going to join us.
Chad has been traveling all over the country, mobilizing churches and pastors to get out the vote. By the way, early voting still underway across many states, so be sure to engage in your. Right, as an American citizen, and quite frankly, as a Christian, a responsibility to vote, and be sure to vote your values, ladies and gentlemen. Real quick, before we go to our guest, we had a trivia question on the table in the last hour. Let's go to Paul in Georgia.
Paul, hope you're doing well today. All right, Paul is not there. Let's go to Wendell in Georgia. Hi, Wendell, how are you? Good afternoon, Randall, and Buford, Georgia.
W D U N. Long time no talk, there, Todd. And happy belated birthday. My answer today is Dr. Robert Jeffries.
Yeah, that's right. Congratulations. What am I even doing here? I didn't even need to ask the question. Yes, Randall.
Congratulations. You are correct. And the question was like Jimmy Stewart, and we're promoting the movie about Jimmy Stewart's life. Jimmy Stewart was a cheerleader in college and actually played the accordion, as did the official chaplain of the Todd Stern's radio show, Doctor Robert Jeffress.
So, congratulations. Congratulations, Randall! And you are the winner of a brand new of a copy of my brand new book called The Golden Age. And we'll get all your info, and we'll be sure to get that off to you.
So well done. Hang tight, if you are on the phones, we're going to get to all of you. I see Miss Foy and Charles from North Carolina. Don't go anywhere, guys. There is an exciting new film coming out called Drummer Boy from our friends at For King and Country.
Luke's Smallbone joins us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. One half of the four-time Grammy award-winning pop duo for King and Country, Luke. First of all, great to see you. And I'm just wondering, to any anybody in the Smallbone family, play the accordion? I don't know about the accordion, but in Indian country, there's an Indian drone instrument that is a harmonium that takes the same kind of ideas, but you play it a little bit like a keyboard, a piano, but it sounds a little bit like the accordion.
So we can play a little bit of that, but not the not the quintessential accordion like you're talking about.
Well, the next time you guys are at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, you you got to do something. Maybe do like a you know how they do for the Grammys. You know they bring in like. I don't know. Some old timer with like a a young artist.
You guys could do something like that. I don't know a mashup or something. Maybe we will have to do that. But good to see you, old friend. It's been too long there.
It's odd. It's good to see you again, man.
Well, it's great to see you. I just turned fifty nine yesterday, so let's avoid using the word old, Luke, if we can. It's hey, hey. I just turned forty. Hey, so you said yesterday the twentieth.
My birthday is on the twenty second, and I just turned forty.
So we're we're almost in the same decade. Except we're about to leave one. We are we are getting old. All right.
Um. I want to talk about this movie. This is exciting, and it's of course the drummer boy is a great Christmas tradition, great beloved song. What was it that inspired you to take this to the big screen? Yeah, well, the Drummer Boy is about two brothers that end up on the opposite side of the Revolutionary War.
It's really merging the three things that Fakian Country that we love: we love music, we love film, and we love Christmas. All right, and so all of those are wrapped up into one. It comes out November the sixth, and if you were to rewind in 2020, when my brother and I were in a band called Fakian Country, we were starting out and we had booked the Christmas tour because we were broke and we had to figure out. Way to eat, all right? And so we booked a Christmas tour.
We didn't have a Christmas album. We had no right doing Christmas songs. And we went into a little church, and we came up with this version of the Little Drummer Boy. And fast forward about six years, it had become one of the biggest songs of our our career. And our brother Ben, who you're familiar with, Todd, came to us and said, "Hey, what if we would create a you know a story around this concept of the Little Drummer Boy?
Because in the Revolutionary War, it was drummer boys." They were actually quite young. Who were the ones that would march into battle with their drums, sending you know that tactics of charge, of retreat, all sorts of things that came through the little drummers. And we just thought that that was a fascinating concept.
So here we are, eight years later after the original concept, and comes out the sixth of November. I'm I'm wondering as you guys were putting together the the story, how did the music and the live performances influence sort of the you know the look the I guess the vibe of the film. Yeah, well, it's a it's a musical, but you know, it's not one of those musicals where it's like the more recent lame is where they sing the whole time. All right, so there's only the films about two hours long. There's about 30 minutes of songs.
It's obviously it impacts everything. You know, for for us to have actors like Charles Esten from Out of Banks or Ian Glen from Game of Thrones or Melora Hardin from The Office who played Jan Levinson Gold. The funny part was is an artist. To write all these songs and then kind of hand these songs over to other actors and say, "Hey, go do a wonderful job," you know, bringing these songs and making them authentic and true to to your characters. But that was also kind of the the fun part of it.
You know, we were we just had on the last hour, we had on the director and producer of the film about Jimmy Stewart that's coming out to what I think November the sixth. Um, and and and you wonder, you know, Jimmy Stewart and it's a wonderful life, becoming one of those. Iconic, you know, holiday traditions, and I am wondering if you guys are sensing that with Drummer Boy. Do you think this could become one of those beloved Christmas time traditions?
Well, that's always the hope, right? You know, and I think one of the things that I've realized is a few hundred years ago is that the art that moved culture was stained glass windows and paintings. And today, the art that moves culture is movies and music, and those are the things that we as a country feel like we are meant to to be a part of. But when it comes to the hope of it being a Christmas sub tradition, I mean, who's ever going to answer that? No, right?
That's always the hope, and we're doing something actually. Actually, very, very special here, Todd, and that is if you actually go to angel. dot com forward slash drummer boy and you go get tickets for the sixth, seventh, and eighth of November. All right, we're going to do a BOGO. Will you buy one and you get one for free?
So whether or not you're a family of four, you could go see drummer boy at the cost of actually just two tickets. Or if you want to go, we are calling it the first Christmas gift of of the year. You could give that that ticket to a friend.
So. Angel dot com forward slash drummer boy and then in the promo code just use the word gift and you've got some free tickets coming your way. Oh, that's fantastic! And I know a lot of us and myself included are members of of Angel dot com. Great, great website, and they're doing great work.
You know, I'm I'm working on a on a book project surrounding the Revolutionary War, and in my research, I was really surprised that most of our founding fathers, even though they wore the powdered wigs, were pretty young. Folks, I mean, most everybody was under the age of thirty. Any things that that you guys learned that maybe you didn't know as you guys were researching and preparing to to do the film? Yeah, I think one of the things that was what we explored is is obviously now you know that war went for a lot longer than we remember, right? Than we actually really realized.
And at the start of the war, like the Patriots had most of the country, but there was a large demographic of people that were indifferent, and then there actually were loyalists, and there were certain towns that were loyal to the crown, and the other ones that loyal to the Patriots. And I think that was obviously this is what this story explores. It explores two brothers. Ending up on the opposite sides of the battlefields, both believing that they're right. But one of the powerful themes in this film is the theme of forgiveness.
You know, one of the things I've realized is it's impossible to have freedom without forgiveness. It's not lost on me. I'm not going to talk politics, like you know, Todd, but America's allies, for the most part, we've all been at war with. You know, the Japanese, the British, the Germans, the French. We've literally fought all of them, but.
Yeah, for the most part, within reason, go with me here. Those are the people that we call when we're in trouble, right? And or, or when we call, when we need, you know, help, they're our allies. These people.
So, the power of forgiveness—it's not lost on me. Also, that this film comes out just the weekend after the election, and there's going to be people in your family that voted one way or another. But the power of forgiveness is is extremely powerful, especially coming into this Christmas season. Yeah, that may be true. I'm still not a big fan of the French, though.
I I don't know. That is. Rub me the wrong way. We're just kidding. We're just kidding a little bit.
Luke Smallbone joining us, and it's an incredible new film called Drummer Boy, and it takes you back to the fight for American independence. You know, not lost in all of this is the fact that we are celebrating America's two hundred fiftieth anniversary, our big birthday. And you know, I'm I'm wondering, you know, as someone who came here, your family came here. Australia. Yeah, what's that experience been like for you living in America?
Yeah, man.
Well, so when I was growing up, my dad used to always say, "You know, America is the land of opportunity." And and you know, so when you're young, you just you just run with it, right? And it wasn't until I got into, and you'll be familiar with this, it wasn't until I got into that later high school years and college age when I had all these friends that were like, you know, we need to go to this country, fill in it, you know, fill in the blank, a country in Europe, and because they've got it right. And I remember I was actually privileged enough to to have traveled a lot quite young, and I remember going over, you know, having these conversations with some of my friends, and and I would say, have you been there? And they'll be like, "Well, no, I haven't been there, but I've read all about their ideals." And I was like, "Guys, you got to understand what America has is extremely special. If you live in the confines of the rules that are, for the most part, pretty fair, you can do whatever you want inside that box.
It doesn't work like that in other countries. And I've visited, you know, many.
So for me, being an immigrant, I was naturalized, you know, however many years ago. I think it was twenty twelve. I just voted this morning. Ironically enough, it's a privilege. To be able to say that I'm an American, and part of the reason why we made this film is because it's the 250th year anniversary of America.
This is one of the last films of the year that will actually celebrate that very that very thing before, obviously, the calendar year changes. And so we're hoping that everyone will come out and celebrate America and also musical songs and all the you know things that we love about going to a movie. Yeah, and of course the movie releasing also on November 6, so you can do a double feature. Right, you can catch both. Right, you can, and have a great time at the movies, Luke.
I'm excited to watch the movie. Congratulations, and please tell your family I said hello. It's been a while. It's been a while. Appreciate you, man.
Thank you for taking the time to chat with me, Luke Smallbone. Everybody and the film Drummer Boy. And if you'd like to take advantage of that ticket opportunity, angel dot com slash drummer boy, and be sure to use the promo code gift, and you'll be able to get those tickets. That's going to be, you know what, Dylan? We we ought to do like a group event and go catch go catch the movies.
I would love that. We got to go back to the movies, Todd. We got to do it. Yeah. I'm.
I'm. I'll go with you guys this time. Yes, Todd's going outside. I'm just kidding. You go outside a lot.
Not that much, actually. Real quick here, let's go to the phone lines and say hello to our dear friend Foy in Georgia, listening to us on W D U N. Hi, Foy. What's going on? Hi, Todd.
I have had a cold or whatever. I've been to the doctor now yesterday for three hours, but I'm getting better today. Speaking to you makes me feel better. I had a red letter letter day marked for you on the 27th to see you at Long Street Cafe, and I I didn't want to bring whatever this was to you, so I didn't get to come. But I hope you had a great day in Gainesville, Georgia, on the 27th.
Did you? Foy, I was waiting outside and looking. I was forlorn because I'm wondering where's Miss Foy. Miss Foy, really? No, I.
We missed you though. I I asked somebody. I said, "Is Miss Foy here?" And no, we didn't see you. And I knew something big must have happened. Either that, or you know, there was I don't know.
The Price Is Right was on, or I don't know what was going. Ten days, but I'm doing better today. And I call. I really probably should wait to call you on good open line Friday because I did know that Dr. Robert Jeffress.
In fact, after he spoke at a in Marietta one day, I followed him out of the church, not out of the church into another room of the church because my aunt had worked at that church, First Baptist Dallas, for forty years, and. I haven't lost you, have I, Todd? No, I am listening intently. Absolutely.
This phone has been acting up. That's why I ask you that. Anyway, I followed him and he was talking on the phone. The door was open in the room he was in, and I waited till he hung up the phone. And I stepped in the door and I said, "Doctor Jeffries, my aunt is Millie Kahn." Oh, he just had a fit over that.
He said, "Oh my, come right in," and she was wonderful. Said I was in her twelve-year-old group. She was the junior director out there for about forty years, and he said I was in her twelve-year-old group, and he said she brought me to Jesus. Said every every summer we would go out to camp out from Dallas, and and said she would always give us the rebel yell. She was from South Carolina, and so they enjoyed that, and I certainly enjoyed getting to meet Dr.
Jeffress, and I do listen to him on the on the. Be ever so often, and as I said, I I should have called you maybe tomorrow, but. I enjoyed hearing about Jimmy Stewart movie. That's that's been one of my favorites for years. I never got to go to the movie because we were we were little orphans, so to speak.
My father had died when I was a year and a half, and so mother said we can save money by not going to movies.
So I didn't go to the movie till I was probably about fifteen or sixteen. You never guess what movie I went to first? It wasn't Jimmy Stewart. Do you want me to take a guess? Yeah, it's not.
I was going to say Animal House, but that's not. That doesn't sound like you. I'm going to say Gone with the Wind. No, no, Elvis. Elvis.
Is that right? Yeah, the one you know, Love Me Tender. Oh yes. Sat there and I sat there in that dark movie theater, first time I'd ever been to one. I just cried through that movie so much.
Oh my goodness.
Well, and anyway. I love the Jimmy Stewart movie, though that's one of my favorites, particularly like you said around Christmas time. And I'll I'll put this drummer boy on my list to look that up too. I do go to the movie occasionally now when there's a good one out. I like to go and see those.
Then you know. And yes, ma'am, I do.
Well, you were missed, and Miss Floyd, do you have a copy of the book yet? The Golden Age. Not yet, but I want to get it. The Golden Age is on my list to get.
Well, you don't you worry about it. We're going to send you. I'm going to send you a signed copy, and Miss, we'll make sure to get your address and everything. I I know you would have been there, but you're you were right to look after your health. By the way, somebody said there's a great Greek restaurant in Gainesville, Georgia, and you should order the lemon soup if you're under the weather.
I actually picked up that advice during the the book signing the other day.
So you might want to check that out, Miss Foy. I may check that out. I saw it's brand new up close to the hospital, and it's called the Greek Tavern. The Greek Tavern, yes, what they would have, you know, other than I don't imbibe in those other. Things you know, but I would certainly like a good soup.
So no tzatziki sauce. Yeah, you don't want the gyro or the tzatziki. No, but let me tell you something. They say it might even cure cancer. I don't know.
I'm just kidding. But it's it'll it'll fix whatever's ailing you, Miss Foy. Look, next time we're gonna have to have coffee together. I'd love to, and I do hope you have a good fifty-nine year. It was a good one for me.
I'm eighty-six now. You're just a spring chicken. Fifty-nine was a good year, just turning into the the six decades before long. And you enjoy every day of it, Todd. I love you.
All right, take care, Miss Foy. We'll be right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stern's radio show. It's just, you know, again, our radio program.
We're we're just like a big front porch, and we invite folks from all over the country to come and sit down and have a a great little conversation. We're going to take a quick break here. We've got Charles in North Carolina. Also, we're going to be talking to Chan Conley from. Faith wins.
He'll be here in just a moment, and we want to hear from you as well. How are things going in your neighbors and your neighborhoods, your communities? Voting turnout. What? What's your gut telling you, ladies and gentlemen?
Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back. Let's go right to the phone lines.
Charles in North Carolina has been holding on for a while. Another great radio affiliate of ours, W S I C. Charles, what's on your mind today?
Well, first, I belated happy birthday to you. Thank you. Happy fifty ninth. But Todd, I got to tell you, you know, been following politics a long time, and I'll have to say this is one election cycle that I can't I can't really get a read on how it's going to go. You know, I mean, I just know that Wednesday morning, one side is going to wake up and they're going to be really happy, and the other side is going to be really angry, and I don't know which side that's going to be.
And the reason I can't get a read, I just I can't believe that President Trump is having to come to Rock Hill, South Carolina, a reliably red state where Darlene Graham, you know, is in neck and neck with her opponent, or you know, he's going to Mississippi, or he's going to Kansas. He's going to areas where we should be mopping, you know, mopping the floor. And then you got states like Minnesota. In Michigan, with that Elsayed, you know, running against Mike Rogers, and I think there's opportunities for pickups there. And I'm not sure about the House, but I just think what it's going to come down to are I know the Democrats are enthused, you know, come to go out and vote, but I just hope that Republicans love their country as much as the Democrats hate it, you know, and and turn out to vote, but.
There's a lot of issues that are weighing Republican voters down because I hear my friends talking about it every day, and I just I'm not sure if it's going to be enough to to get them out to vote because I've already talked to several people. They just you know they're not going to vote. They're they're going to sit it out. They're just so pissed off about the Iran War. They're pissed off about the lack of accountability with the deep state.
You know the lack of a mass. Mass deportations, just a lot of things.
So I don't know what's what's your opinion.
Well, look, I'm still fairly optimistic about all of this, and I agree with Speaker Johnson. I think the polling data has is going to be historically inaccurate as they have been in the past. But but I also I just can't imagine. And you're right, we're watching huge numbers of people turning out to vote. I can't imagine those folks are turning out to vote for communism.
And typically, when you look at An election cycle, people are not going to cast a vote against; they're going to cast a vote for somebody, and that's why I think the Republicans. And and again, I may be completely off base here because there are no, in a lot of these states, there's no polling data. There's no way to really track if it's Republicans or Democrats coming out. But I will say this: in in Tennessee, for example, the there has the highest voter turnout of the entire. Entire state has actually been in Memphis, which is historically an overwhelmingly Democrat city.
So, so you know, take that for what it's worth. But, but again, I just have a hard time believing that people are going to really punish President Trump for the war in Iran. I don't think they're going to do that. Yeah, and and I, I mean, I hope they don't. You know, and the Democrats.
I mean, you know, what you're running on this this platform of socialism and getting rid of free enterprise, the the radical Islam. You know that they're they're they're that they're not running away from. You know, the men and women sports. Just you know the the tranny thing. I mean, I mean, it's crazy.
It doesn't make any sense in in any normal election cycle. People would just look at that and just laugh, but you know people are also hurting financially unless you got a four hundred one k or something like that. But you know people go to the grocery store just in these gas prices and everything, and that which is the result. You know, a large part of the warden around, yeah, but. I don't know.
I mean, like me. I mean, Todd. Everybody I've talked to, I'm trying to get them to get to the polls to take somebody with them. You know, to take out their telephone, text their friends, text their neighbors. Because if you've heard the old expression, Todd, people that vote their way into socialism eventually have to shoot their way out of it.
Because if these Democrats gain power, you and I both know that they are never ever going to give it up. Charles, yeah, and we're going to have to leave it there, my friend. But I think you're you're right about that. And again, that's another reason that I think the Republicans are going to do well. But again, maybe off base here.
I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Say hello to our good friend Chad Conley, who is the founder of Faith Wins. Chad, you heard Charles from North Carolina, and he seemed to be flabbergasted that Trump was having to campaign in Rock Hill, South Carolina, today. What do you make of that? And there is, there does seem to be a lot of concern that the Republicans could be in trouble there.
Hey, Todd, great to be with you again. I'm in Pennsylvania today.
Okay, all right, guys. We're gonna hold Chad, hold tight. We're we're popping and pinging all over the place.
So let's get Chad figured out again, guys, and let's just test that audio signal, and we'll try to get Chad back with us. But to uh to the point that Charles was making here is that the president is campaigning in areas that you would think he would not need to campaign in. Chief among them being South Carolina. Tomorrow he's going to be in Daytona Beach, Florida, and then Saturday he's going to be in Kansas, and on Sunday in Dubuque, Iowa.
So that's that's what we're looking at right now, as far as the president's the president's rallies.
So what is that? What does that tell us?
Well, I think the president is basically trying to, and we'll try to get Chad by telephone if we can't work out the TV the video connection. I think the president is trying to gin up the base. That's ultimately what I think is going on here. All right, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. We're going to take a quick break.
We'll be right back. All right, I think we've been able to re-establish contact with Chad Conley. And Chad, going back to South Carolina, we had a caller, Charles from from North Carolina, saying that he's just really flabbergasted that Trump would have to come to South Carolina to campaign. how How bad are things looking right now for the Republicans there in the Palmetto State?
Well, I think it's a lot of overblown. I think Darlene's going to be okay because we got a plus seventeen R vote. But look, I don't disagree with Charles. It looks kind of tough, right? But Trump's been everywhere.
In fairness, I've been in all those states. He's been everywhere—blue states, red states. I wish he'd have to spend time in South Carolina. But losing Lindsey's a tough draw, and just showing that up's not a bad thing. But our governor candidate's going to win big.
We'll pull that one over. But he's been. All over the place. Trump's a machine, and he turns out people like never before. But I get it.
But hey, look, the Democrats are sending Obama to Atlanta and Detroit, so they're not very confident either. Chad, you've been traveling all over the country, and I'm wondering what are you what are you sensing right now? What are you hearing? And does it look like the Republicans, as the speakers said earlier today, speakers predicting a big win on election day? What say you?
Well, I was on a faith leaders call with him yesterday, Todd, and he talked about under sampling of Republicans. What is it now? Two prominent polls have been proven fraudulent, but fifteen in total.
So I think there's some validity to that. Look, I sense an undercurrent. I've been in five states this week. I was in five states last week. 22 states with pastors.
We've actually had three congressional candidates who showed up: Mike Kelly in Butler, Pennsylvania, yesterday; Scott Perry down in near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, this morning. With about 50 pastors, and just now we're in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with Ryan McKenzie.
So we've had congressmen come out wanting to talk to our pastors, and of course we invite both sides. I believe there's an undercurrent of awareness: the socialism, the communism, the Islamist stuff up in Michigan. Todd, those things are playing in the people's minds, and I think people understand this is not an election between Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi, where the choice is just a preference. This is an election between Diet Coke and Drano. You may not like Diet Coke perfectly, but Drano will kill you.
Well, no doubt about that. Yeah, that's never, never a good thing to to quench your thirst with, Chad. When you we're looking at Texas, how do you think things are playing in Texas? Talofrico, Ken Paxton, who comes out the winner there? Passion is going to win that one.
It may not be as as big as we like it to be, but he's going to win that one. We'll hold Texas. We'll hold South Carolina. I think people need to keep an eye on Michigan. I believe that's going to be a flip for us.
I think most folks on our side have written off North Carolina. Keep an eye on New Hampshire. I was with John Sanunu with pastors. He is working all over the state. He's done multiple pastor meetings.
Also, watch Tafoya. In Minnesota, I don't think that one's outside the realm of possibility. Iowa and Ohio are also the ones to keep an eye on. Ohio, every every race has its dynamics, but we know what's going on there. That may be a drag on the ticket.
But watch Ohio and Iowa for early returns. Republicans hold on to those, mean that we could end up as many as fifty-four. It's just a weird. It's just a weird election cycle, Chad. I mean, you know, again, most of the midterm races are always localized anyway.
But it's just really hard to get a peg on on what people are thinking and feeling.
Well, we used to be able to rely on the polls. Todd, you're exactly right. It's a weird, weird cycle. Charles made a mention of it. We never thought we'd be fighting people who will openly campaign as socialist, even talking about the great things of communism.
My goodness sakes, we didn't think that people be that dumbed down. But here we are. This is why I travel with David Barton, is teaching the truth about American history because our folks don't know it. I do think that there comes a time in every history. Maybe two hundred fifty years is appropriate, where people have to stand up and take a stand and fight for the truth.
And we've got to go back and educate people because this shouldn't be a close election. The Democrats have embraced things that I've never, man, frankly, I never thought we'd have a discussion about who's in what bathroom, or let's bring back socialism, which is just warmed up communism. No, I never thought we'd have this. It's it is localized. It is a very special, weird cycle, but I believe this isn't a.
Awakening. I see people everywhere. We were in Atlanta earlier this week and had forty pastors. Thirty-seven had never been in my meeting or had heard of David Barton, and I challenged them. There were probably eight or ten thousand votes in that room.
I said, "You cannot sit this out. You cannot let your church sit sit this out. You tell your people Diet Coke, Drano. You tell that story. Make the comparison.
I know that your side may not be perfect. Our side may not be perfect, but the other side's out to kill the country, man." Well, it's true, and I am just curious. How are those pastors responding? Do you do you see any movement there? Because so many pastors are just afraid to talk about anything when it comes to politics or or going out and voting.
You know, this is why, and I know I appreciate your appreciation for our pattern. This is why I challenge pastors that we've spent years winning over. Bring pastors who've never met me, who've never heard this approach, because I tell them it's not about a party or a person. It's about policies and principles that line up with the biblical worldview. There were thirty-seven in that meeting.
I don't know how many were there yesterday. We've had hundreds of pastors in these meetings. I think since August in the hundred and something meetings, we've had four thousand. New pastors in our meetings.
So when a pastor buddy brings a pastor, it empowers them. It doesn't make them feel alone. And they say, "Okay, there are other pastors doing this. I can do this." Then when I expose them to David Barton and his teaching on God's role in American history, that's a winning combination. We see the needle moving.
Win or lose, we're doing the right approach to preserve us a nation. We just got to realize we're in a fight, brother. We are in a fight, and we cannot. Fit it out. No, no doubt about it.
We've got Chad Conley on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Chad, founder and president of Faith Wins, a really terrific organization that I think is moving the the needle. You know, again, we we look at this record turned out. I'm very excited to see that, but I am concerned that that the Republicans and and I think the Chad, I think that people are right. They're right to be angry at the Republican Party, but this is not the election cycle to punish the Republicans.
You know, Todd, I did Steve Bannon's war room the other day, and I I said this. Look, I left the party as a chairman and working for the for RNC to start faith wins because I was frustrated that I didn't see a lot of authentic pro family Christian outreach going on, and I'd rather do it from a C three standpoint to educate people. Yes, you're right. People have the right to be upset. I don't see a lot of effort.
Steve Bannon said, "Do we spend time, money by the committees of the campaigns or the?" RNC to do an authentic faith outreach and evangelical outreach. They know this is the base, and frankly, I don't see it. But no, you're exactly right. Don't punish the party. This isn't about the party.
This is about the country.
Well, the party's as imperfect as you and I are. The party's always going to be imperfect. But keep in mind, it's only doing what the people who are part of it say to do. We got to go put more Christian voices in those places. That's what we spend all our time doing.
It's not about votes. It's not about Just being involved now. This is an ongoing effort to put the voices of God's people, the foundational aspects of America, and biblical principles back into those places that they're sorely missing from. But don't punish the party. Go vote for the people that most line up with the biblical worldview, and then we'll take care of the rest of it later.
These rallies are—are they moving the needle at all? You know, I've been to a bunch of Trump rallies. He brings out a voter, Todd, that frankly nobody ever has. I remember going to the early ones and looking around, and in the South Carolina rallies in 2015, going these these aren't the typical Republican voters. He's bringing out a person who has not worked, not been voting.
They're zero out of fours. They're not three out of fours or four out of four voting time. And they don't happen in a vacuum. There are thousands of people coming out in these rallies. We're going to find out because let's face it.
My frustration with the party is it looks like they have relied an awful lot on President Trump's ability to bring these people out. I don't see a lot of Foundational door knocking. I see groups like five hundred one C threes and C fours door knocking for specific people. I don't see a lot of the party stuff. I know in South Carolina, our party's doing it, but a lot of the state parties, I don't see a lot of that happening.
So they're relying an awful lot on President Trump's ability to go out and sell his message. Clearly, he's very good at it. He brings a bunch of people out. The question is: Is it going to be enough to drive people out? I respect the guy.
Owning the midterms, Todd. He's out there saying, "I may not be on the ballot, but I'm on the ballot because my policies are on the ballot." I can't name another president who's ever done that. And Newt Gingrich said, "If he pulls this off and defies what a 90-year history, he'll be right up there, past with Washington and Lincoln and Trump as three of the greatest presidents ever." I I have no doubt about that, Chad. No doubt at all. I'm still getting over the shock of you cheating on me with Steve Bannon.
But that, but that is, but that aside. Look, I I'm optimistic, and only because and and look, I'm also a realist, and my optimism. I just can't believe the American people are going to choose communism over freedom. I I my brain can't go that far. Um, I I may be way off base, but I'd rather I'd rather go.
Into the elections, getting people fired up as opposed to demoralizing, you know, the voters. Like many in the in the talk radio world are doing, and I've got sixty seconds for you to give me a reply there and final thoughts.
Well, you and I have talked about so much of this privately that you know now it's time to talk about. Listen, I don't think people are going to sell out to communism, socialism, and people operate out of fear or faith, right? They're operating out of the the stick or the carrot. And I'm like you; I'd rather do the optimistic, sunny side. I believe there's an undercurrent.
I'm looking in these pastors' eyes. I am challenging them. I'm watching their pastor buddies challenge them. I'm like you. I believe the American people are going to respond to this, and I believe that every time we're faced with something like This and it's appropriate in the turn of fiftieth year.
I believe they're going to respond, and we're going to preserve this nation. The country's really at stake, and so sometimes it takes a little bit of the stick and the carrot to get people out there to say we've got to do something about this. We cannot sit this out and treat it like a typical midterm election just because it's historically against whoever's in the White House. This is a time to go express your feelings and express it by your vote and talk to everybody. You know, brother.
All right, Chad Conley, faith wins. Chad, we're going to check in with. You between now and election day on Tuesday. Appreciate it. Yes, sir.
Love you, brother. All right, there you go, ladies and gentlemen. And by the way, this segment brought to you by Newsmax. People are switching by the millions, going to Newsmax on cable or streaming channel Newsmax Two, and downloading our free Newsmax app on smartphones and TVs. Reuters says Newsmax, one of the top news brands in the nation.
So find out why Newsmax is the fastest growing news channel in America. Make the switch today and join our news. Revolution. All right, hang tight, everybody. Hour three of the big show coming up next.
From Memphis, Tennessee, on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us. That's right. I love this American ride. Todd's.
All right, hello everybody. Welcome. You know, I've been thinking about this, Dylan. I, I think we need to deputize the entire radio show listening audience. In advance of the the midterm elections, so they can be our official poll watchers, and they can provide us with reports across the fruited plain as to what is happening in in in the country.
So maybe we need to come up with some sort of an oath that you know I do solemnly swear. That I will faithfully, you know, uphold the values of the the integrity of the Todd Stern's radio show audience as we report the news in our communities. That's pretty good. That also is incentivizing them to also vote too. It's true.
You know, if we would have thought about this, I don't know, ahead of you know the commercial break, we could have like had some sort of an official badge made. Yeah, yeah. Too bad we just came up with it just now. Yeah, it's too bad. We are going to be a libertarian free zone.
Yes, that's what we're going to be. By the way, we get I get so much hate mail. The liberals hate that. How dare you call me a libtard? I'm gonna lose my mind.
Oh, sorry about that, libtard.
So you're pretty good at triggering them. I know, I know. Yes, exactly. We had a guy.
So the guy when we were in Houston at our big book signing a couple of weeks ago, we actually had a guy show up, and he brought his daughter who was a liberal, and he didn't tell her where she was going. Right, so he has to. I guess she drives him around to various and sundry places, and she showed up, and she was right smack in the in the middle of the largest gun store in America, and surrounded by conservatives. Wow, I wonder what happened. Yeah, I convert.
Yeah, I think she may have been triggered. I mean, that was that was information overload. Had to be. I no doubt about it. No doubt about it.
So anyway, we do want to hear from you though, and you are the eyes and the ears of the of the show.
So you're out there. You're giving us reports on what's happening in your communities. How how's early voting going? What are you sensing? And that is why Tom is on the phone.
He's calling. And from Houston, Patriot Talk nine twenty, our great affiliate there, Tom. What I understand you've been out and about. Tell us what's going on. Yes, sir, Todd.
I just voted, and you voted with me. I took my phone in, had my earpiece in, because here in Harris County we have one hundred and six selections on our ballot. Wait, how many? One zero six. Good Lord!
And I understand it's the longest ballot in the country, but I sat there and I did my due diligence. There was only three people I didn't vote for because there was no Republican opponent, and it was it was in and out, very easy. I understand. There's there's a whole and my regular location that I went to. They changed it, so that's a good reason to early vote because you know that you you're used to going or grandma's used to going to you know the the Methodist Church Annex building, and boom, they changed it and nobody can find the new spot on election day.
But it was it was a good experience, and I'm glad I carried y'all with me for support. But you, you made a big mistake right there just a second ago. You said a libtard that was educated—that's an oxymoron, isn't it, Tom? You see, this is why this radio show is so successful because of the brilliant minds of our listeners. Yes, I—that was in fact an oxymoron, Tom.
Yes, sir. Well, I think that you need to go to grammar jail. For a period of three and a half weeks, with nothing but pressed bologna sandwiches.
Well, you know, look, I'm I'm from Memphis, Tennessee. We barbecue our bologna here, Tom.
So that's actually not a punishment, but they're cold with mayonnaise. That's how it comes.
Okay, that's a punishment. Yeah, that's wrapped in Saran wrap. They've made them three days ago. Wow, wow, Tom, you you you really thought through all of this. I just been in jail before.
Oh well, Beth.
Well, there you go.
Okay. All right, Tom. God, God bless you, my friend, and thank you for the thank you for the intel, Tom from Texas.
So that's what they eat in jail, apparently.
So cold baloney sandwiches with mayonnaise. That's not too bad. I mean, it could be worse. What color is the baloney? I mean, if it's green or something, you know.
Three day thing kind of caught me off. What's the one? There's one like Italian. Italian deli meat that's got like green stuff in it. You know what I'm talking about?
Have you? I don't think I've had it. It looks. Yeah, I just. I'd be afraid to eat that too.
Anything green that's not like. Yeah, vegetable is kind of freaking me out. By the way, early voting is wrapping up. Everybody, and today's the last day in Tennessee, but Kentucky, October thirty first. That's when your guys when you guys wrap up as well.
So be sure to make sure you get out and vote early. Otherwise, I predict you are going to be in some long lines on election day. That's what that's what I think is going is going to happen. I want to play some audio here. I want to set this story up.
I I think there is, and I think this may be one of the reasons why there's a lot of just mystery about about the midterm elections, and just there's there's a weird mood and vibe in the country right now. And I remember years ago, and many of our old timers might remember this story. There was a there was a movie, and it was about a broadcaster. And there was, there's a line in the movie. It was from.
It's called Network, and it came out in 1976. And it was really a a dark comedy about about broadcast TV and the the power of broadcasting to sway people, and and ultimately the impact that that TV and news can have on on the culture at large. And there was there was a moment in the in the film when the the news anchor who's lost his mind. He gets in front of the camera and he's sweating profusely. I think it was like a rainstorm or something.
Comes in and he's drenched, and he tells the audience, "I want you to open up your windows wherever you are." And this was happening in New York City. And I want you to, I want you to scream as loud as you can. I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore. And he went on and on and on, and then soon people all over New York City started opening up their windows and their doors, and they just started shouting, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore." And I think that's where we are as a country right now, and especially. Especially men of a certain age, and I would say men who are in their late twenties into their forties.
Who have really suffered as a result of the Barack Hussein Obama administration and the policies of the administration? The idea that many of them got saddled with all sorts of insane, ridiculous debt because they went to college because Obama told them if you don't go to college, you're not going to be successful. You can't get your American dream. And so a lot of these guys went to college and now they're broke. Many of them are living at home still.
Many of them are having to work extra jobs just to make ends meet, and then along comes the Republican presidents, and I got to tell you, you know, Trump has really not not done a lot to stop the influx of H one B visa holders.
So now you have a bunch of people from other countries, and predominantly India, that are being brought in, and these predominantly white guys are losing their jobs. They're being pushed aside for cheap foreign labor, and it is happening everywhere in America. It's happening here in the Memphis area with FedEx. FedEx used to be the good guys, but let me tell you something: they're not the good guys anymore. They're getting rid of a lot of very good and decent Americans, and they're being replaced by Indians.
And it's not right. And a lot of people are angry about it. You know, a lot of people are really angry at how men, especially, have been put upon. And then you've got this younger generation coming out here, and you know, with the social media and the TikTok and all that kind of stuff, and the the Instagram and the videos, and they're wanting to. You know, there's no such thing as privacy anymore.
There's no such thing as common sense, and. People are sick of it. They're just sick of it.
So there was a guy, and he was filmed. I think it was at a Walmart. And Dylan, all of you, you've seen this video that that we're about to we're about to talk about. And the guy's works for Red Baron Pizza. I guess he's a delivery guy, so he delivers the pizzas to the grocery stores and the supermarkets and the whatnot.
And that is a hard job. I mean, in a lot of those, my understanding is those those guys who drive the trucks. It's usually five a.m. till eight or nine o'clock at night. Yep.
And you got to work until you get everything delivered, and those those shelves are stocked. I mean, you worked in the grocery. You worked at a grocery store and went in high school in college. It's a tough, tough job. Yeah, I mean we we saw those guys come in all the time.
I mean they they would they would be there first and they they would be there last because they have several stores that they have to visit. I mean, you have all day. You have to go through store store. It's it's a busy job. It's a busy job, and it's sometimes it's a thankless job.
Yeah, but it's a good job. And the reality is, these guys are not being recognized nationally. I don't think anybody, you know, people probably aren't going to know their names, not know where they, you know, what they do. And you can have that conversation of that debate. They're regular Joes, you know, regular guys, and they make America work.
Thanks to those guys, you can go in and you can get a Red Baron pizza. I mean, it's a very practical thing.
So anyway, there was a. A red Baron guy, and he was trying to do his job. That's all he was trying to do: stock the stock the the the shelves there in the frozen food section. And some punk, some young punk, these pranksters—you know, the ones with the YouTube channels and Instagram and TikTok—these little sons of...
Sorry, you just—you know—I'll explain their problem in a minute, but and why they do this. But they decided that they're going to prank this guy and they're going to film him and really harass this guy. And the way they did it, and I just need to set this up so you understand what's going on. They, I don't know if they pretended to steal his money, but they basically, you know, that deal where you, you know, you can put your phone and you know, it'll put money in your account. You got to be careful about all those apps and everything on your phones.
So that's what they did. And the guy finally, he snapped. And I don't even think it snapped. I think he's just like I think this guy is speaking for a lot of people in America right now. We're just fed up with all the bullshit.
Well, I can't say that word. They're fed up. People are just fed up. I want you to take a listen to this. At five in the morning and do ten more stores.
So this is not a joke to me.
Okay. Hey, excuse me. Yeah. Know what time it is, boss? Yeah.
Eleven thirty-five. What are you doing? Dude, thank you, bro. I I just took ten dollars. You don't ask me right now, okay?
Huh? I buy. I need it, but I need I need it real quick. I am not even using this app right now. Apple Pay.
Dude, you hear me? I just need to buy some real quick, though. You think this is funny, don't you? You recording me right now? You think you should recording me right now?
No, no, no. I'm a Ray Bans. I'm gonna report you right now. Bye, boss. Thank you for the twenty dollars, man.
Appreciate it. Are you for real, bro? It is not that deep. I will destroy. It is not that.
I mean, if you really want to go outside, I don't know what's going on. But I don't need this for that. It's not that deep, man. This is a joke. You're just a little punk ass.
Oh, this is a joke. This is a joke. No, it's not a joke to me.
Okay, I don't have time for this crap in my life. My life is hard enough as it is.
Okay, I don't need this crap. I got kids at home that went to bed without me right now. I was supposed to be at home an hour ago, and I'm still out here working. And I got to get up at five in the morning and do ten more stores.
So this is not a joke to me.
Okay. And now I'm probably gonna get kicked out of the store because of you. Not funny.
Okay, I'm sorry, man. No, you're not sorry. No, no, you got a smug look on your face. I'm sorry, bro. I'm sorry.
I'm just like I don't need this in my life. No, I, I get you. No, you don't. You're probably making money off this. No, I can't even pay my mortgage, and I got four kids at home.
Okay. So not funny. I got you. I'm gonna leave. I'm gonna leave.
You yes. You better not be out there when I do leave. Leave. Go now. You have a good night.
I um. I watched this video, and then I watched it again, and I watched it a third time, and I found myself becoming more and more enraged as I'm watching this because I realized. That you could hear the emotion in this guy's voice. He's doing everything humanly possible as a father and as a dad to take care of his kids. He's working a job.
He's exhausted. And you've got these punk ass kids, and you know what? I think a lot of people resonate with what this guy was going through. I don't think he really snapped. I think he just had enough.
He's done. And we see this all over the country where these. These the these teenagers are going out there with their bazillion dollar smartphones, and they're trying to get all this content for their social media websites and whatever. And they don't care, sticking cameras in front of people's faces. And I'm just going to tell you what the problem is.
And I'm not going to. I'm not advocating for violence, but somebody needs to beat. Honest to goodness, those kids needed a beat down.
Somebody should have shoved that smartphone right up that kid's behind, and then put him on the toilet so he could poop it out. That's exactly what should have happened. But then the guy would have gone to jail. But we've got a lack of parenting in this country, and these kids are out there. And by the way, this is a white kid, predominantly white kid problem.
I don't know if you've seen the videos. These pranksters out there. Oh yeah, they're the worst people ever. Yeah, their parents their their parents should be ashamed. But these people, but but they're predominantly white kids.
It's one thing to have like a funny prank, but like this is just dumb. Like you're just you're just pissing off people that are going through hard times at that point. And it's not even a hard time; that's his life. Yeah, you know, people and and look, here's the deal. And this is so when you've got folks like that that are you know they're not getting ginormous pay raises, and you got the president of the United States.
No offense, President Trump, but you're out there you know boasting about you know oh well you people can't afford the five thousand dollar hamburger at Mar-a-Lago. Yeah, that's not helping move the needle, Mr. President. I we get what you're saying, but most people can't afford a hamburger down at McDonald's right now because of the insane prices. And a lot of people are frustrated.
They don't know how they're going to pay their bills. They and they're busting their asses out there working jobs like this, and they're just—they're not asking for a handout. They're just trying to live their lives. And I'm telling you, I think this is one of the reasons why nobody can really figure out what's going to happen on election day. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Do you relate to this guy? We'll be right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
I love this kid from Texas, nineteen years old. Talking about Ken Paxton and James Talafrico. Cut number forty-one, please. Or what's your name? My name is Elijah.
Okay, and Elijah, what's what's your big issue? My big issue is school choice. I want to have the ability as a future father to know what my kids are learning in school, know what values are being instilled into them, see if they're being indoctrinated or not, and if they are, I want to have the freedom to put them in a place where they're truly prospering. Elijah, how old are you? I'm 19.
Okay, future father. But he's—you know what? He's a planner. Yeah, good for him. Uh, good for him.
All right, we're getting into the Alaska controversy of the big Senate race there, and man, the Democrats are playing dirty. Oh. All right, this story out of the New York Times is just—it's hilarious. This has got to be a movie. This is the plot for a movie.
First, I want to bring into the conversation our good friend and the Todd Stern Show chief, political strategist Josh Jones, back with us. Josh, we're going to be—we're going to be coming your way multiple times over the next few days as we come to the election.
So, first, I hope you're doing well, and I hope you put some Red Bull on your fruit. Loops today. I'm doing good, and yeah, happy to jump on over the next couple of days as we lead up to the election. We're definitely in that final sprint at the moment.
So, so the story out of Alaska and the New York Times has the the expose is that the Democrat nominee for the Senate, Mary Peltola, spent months recruiting candidates that had the exact same name as the current Senator Dan Sullivan. Who is the Republican? Of course, they do ranked choice voting there.
So all of this coming from a disgruntled staffer who was who was fired and now is spilling the beans.
So they found somebody named who happens to be a Democrat named Dan D. Sullivan, and they put him on the ballot.
So they got him to run against Dan S. Sullivan, and now there is just pure. Chaos in in Alaska. Have you ever seen or heard of any shenanigans quite like this, Josh? I haven't.
I mean, this is a first for me. Granted, I guess in the grand scheme of things, I'm relatively new to the political sphere, at least professionally. But no, I mean, I haven't heard of something like this before. And frankly, I think it speaks. Tepetola's, you know, ideology and her ideas.
She knows she can't win on the merit of her ideas and her resume, so she's pulling out, you know, these just crazy, dirty tricks to try and, you know, fool voters in Alaska into not voting for her opponent. You know, I know the governor there in Alaska, Dean Dunleavy, has already launched an investigation. The Justice Department filing a lawsuit in federal court, hoping to block certification of the election results. If the votes for the other Mister Sullivan cost Senator Sullivan the win, I don't know the legalities of that. I'm not sure that's actually if if they've got firm legal standing, but it certainly appears like the other the Democrats here are in.
Engaged in some bit of voter fraud, right? I mean, this is an intentional perversion of our system or perversion of our system to try and fool voters and the voting away that they don't even attend to vote.
So, like, I think I'm no attorney either. I'll leave it to the election attorneys to, you know, determine if anything illegal happened here. But I think it's good for the governor and the DOJ to at least look into this sort of thing because this isn't normal. I mean, the Democrats, particularly Mayor Petola, you know, may try and paint it as, "Oh, we had nothing to do with it. This is politics as usual." But that's just not the case here.
Josh, as we're coming into the home stretch, what are you hearing out there? I know the Speaker Johnson seems to be pretty. Bullish about Republican chances, but what say you? Yeah. Look, the president, the speaker, the vice president—obviously, all of our Republican candidates running for Congress are out in the campaign trail right now, and you just have to run.
Even like you are ten points behind, or if you are ten points behind, you better be running like you are twenty behind now through election day.
So we're in that final stretch where, look, everybody has these predictions going out on Twitter because you know a week out from the election, everybody becomes an expert on Twitter about how the election's going to go. I'm not putting out any you know official predictions of things of that nature. I will say I'm not said it for a while. I think the polls are underestimating Republicans. We'll see if that's true or not.
But that's my you know very thirty foot or thirty thousand foot view of things. What about there in Virginia? Any interesting races on the congressional side that that you're looking at? Yeah, in Virginia, you kind of have a great bellwether of the night's going to go most likely, because Virginia is obviously be on the East Coast. We'll have our polls closed first out of anybody, and you kind of have three congressional districts in Virginia to watch.
The most swingy district in Virginia is Virginia's second district, which is the coastal Virginia, which has historically flipped back and forth. You know, a true toss-up district. And then you have the first district in Virginia, which is more of a Republican-leaning district historically, but still competitive. And then you have the fifth district, which is a solidly Republican district that Democrats are trying to flip.
So I think watching those three districts will kind of tell you, you know, if there's a you know. Air quotes: Democrat wave or blue wave on Tuesday night. I know the president this weekend is going to be in Kansas, where Roger Marshall is fighting for his life. Adam Hamilton, a liberal Methodist minister, is the Democrat nominee. He pastors a big megachurch there in the Kansas City area.
And then on Sunday, he's going to be in Iowa. I'm curious, and and I asked this of Chad Conley earlier in the show. These Trump rallies, what do you think they're meant To accomplish, and have they been successful? Look, I think the goal here, from a political, you know, strategic lens, from the president's team, the president himself, is Republican voters, or you know, those MAGA voters, typically only show up whenever the president's on the ballot. Obviously, he's not on the ballot this cycle, so he's going out there on the campaign trail for these, you know, Republican candidates to get his voters that you know typically just vote for him, vote the Republican ticket.
And I think that's the strategy here. If you look at some of the cities in the districts he's going to, you know, they're strategically going to the cities and districts where there is a strong MAGA base or Republican base, and they're just trying to drive up that turnout. And I think that's their strategy heading into election day. Does it work? We'll find out on Tuesday.
You know, there's no way to tell as of right now. But you know, it's it's a good you know in theory strategy from the president's team. Josh Jones joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Josh, I even hate to ask this question, but looking ahead, you know, because you know that as soon as you know the the last ballot is cast, we start talking about 2028. That is going to be huge because you will not have a sitting president on the ballot.
How do you see? I mean, we've already people are already talking. What are you? What are you hearing in D.C.? Yeah, I mean, look, we're a long ways out from the presidential election, so who knows?
Frankly, but I think you know just. Talking through the optics of things, the natural heir apparent to Trump is obviously the vice president, who would be JD Vance if he decides to run. Another strong contender from the cabinet is obviously Secretary Rubio, who would make a great candidate.
So I think those are your probably top two from the administration. Outside of that, I'm sure you'll have a handful of governors and Congresspeople run across the country.
So, like, it's really hard to tell, and we have a political Eternity from now till then.
So we'll see what happens. It also depends on you know what state the country's in in twenty twenty eight economically. You know, people are looking for a change candidate versus a you know steady the ship candidate.
So, look, we'll see no like insider information as of yet.
So, I'm sure after November, once you know the new Congress gets sworn in and DC gets going again, we'll you'll start to see the rumor mill spin up on who's going to run in 28.
So, what happens after after the elections? You guys in the political world, do you like escape for like a couple of months? You hit the beach somewhere and leave the cell phones at home. We try to. At least I try to.
You know, well, obviously, have an election day next week, and then thankfully, everybody kind of tunes out of politics for a month or two afterwards—November, December, of all the holidays, families, etc.
So, I think DC and everybody in the political sphere will kind of take a breather afterwards, and then come Januarys when we get the new Congress, we're straight back into it. All right, Josh, your analysis has been pretty incredible this election cycle, and we'll be touching basically between now and election day.
So, hope you get some rest. And it's going to be it's going to be a wild Tuesday. Yeah, it's going to be a fun one. Thanks, Bob. All right, Josh Jones, everybody on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
Wow. Yeah, we're going to have to at least take one day, a one day break from politics before we jump back into it after the elections. All right, we've got to take a quick break here. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six, our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
We'll be right back. All right, Dylan. Remember, was it a couple of weeks ago? We have the folks from Sweden, right? Swedish TV.
Oh yes, I do remember them. Wow. I don't know if that was a good impression or spot on. I don't know. It's like the Swedish Chef from the Muppet Show.
That's my only knowledge of a Swedish accent. Yeah. Anyway, they broadcast the show, so we should back up a little bit.
So, after we allowed them, we allowed them access to our studios, and they interviewed us, and all of that. Right? Got a message from one of our team members saying, "Starns, are you sure these people were from Swedish TV, or is it Swiss TV?" Swiss. Oh shoot! I got the wrong.
You know, the entire nation. I got the whole nation. Sweden. Yeah, that happened.
Some turkey doopsy doopsy. You just offended everyone in Switzerland. Maybe. Yeah. I don't think that was very Swedish.
No.
So anyway, they were and they were French. That was the thing.
So all right, my bad. I am so sorry. I've just offended two nations. It's already out. They can't.
What's what's the worst that can happen?
Well, you never know.
So I thought.
So we thought we were being pranked initially.
So they said, "Are you sure this may be like Borat or somebody?" What Sasha Baron Cohen? Yeah, who you know makes a whole career of doing this. Yeah, and I thought, my gosh, I.
So I've been I've been a little on edge, sure, waiting for this thing to come out because I had no idea.
So it turns out they're authentic. They are real. Swiss TV is a real thing, and we've got the video. We're not going to play because it's all in like French. Yeah, including me.
So they're dubbed over. I'm dubbed over. French Todd. And the only it didn't sound as good. We we croissant, we we gisalou.
So it's gisalou. Yeah. So they um, I I couldn't understand a lick of it until they got the mivis, and I'm like, oh, that's us. That was the one part that I understood, and then I knew it was your turn to be on the screen.
So mivis, and then tout tout stars. That's how they called me. Looks pretty good, Todd. Actually, the whole the whole package. It was like a news report.
It was it was it was pretty good. I thought they did a great job. Yeah, I have no idea what we were what they were saying about us. They could be saying that we're just a bunch of redneck hits hicks who you know smoke pork butt and play banjos. Yeah, which sounded too far off.
Actually, that's true. But at least we sounded. I mean, it sounded good. I mean, if they're going to insult you, you want somebody like with that accent insulting you. That very true.
Wee wee, manhole. I have no idea what that means.
So all that to say, it was it was nice, you know. What it is, what it is. Hey, are you doing Halloween decorations this year, Dylan? No, I I never do them.
So there's this crazy Karen chick, and she basically looks like a Halloween costume. In in real life, and I don't mean that in a well, I do mean in a bad way. There's really not a good way, but she it's she's got the big glasses. You know what the lib? You know what the female libertards of the libertards of the female persuasion.
You know that's the giveaway. They either got the magenta hair, they got the nose ring. They've got the giant, ginormous glasses, yeah, and they drive Subarus. This one has the ginormous glasses, okay, and she's very upset. She is a social worker in Knoxville, Tennessee, and she is very upset at the city council because they have they have decorated downtown for Halloween.
And at first, I thought, oh, this is like a church lady, but there is no church lady. She's a far leftist.
So she's very upset, and because what they did was they set up ghosts.
So they basically took, you know, sheets, white sheets, and they made them look like ghosts, and then they strung them up. You know where this is all going, don't you? They strung up those those ghosts. On like invisible wire, so it looks like they're hovering over the town. That was my Halloween voice.
Yeah, and I'm scared.
So thanks.
So anyway, and it is kind of like weird because it looks like there are these ghosts like hovering in between the trees in in Knoxville or Knox Vegas as we call it. And so anyway, this woman, her name is Elizabeth Spencer Pitts. She says maybe I'm sensitive. Oh, she's also white. This is an important thing, an important part of the story.
She's white. She says, maybe I'm sensitive and possessed of a very flighty and prolific imagination, but this blank ain't copacetic. In my humble opinion, the governance and daily operations of and by the Knoxville City Government are, by the most charitable estimations, simply tone deaf and incompetent, and in many cases just absolutely brutal in purpose and mechanism. But. I feel like this Halloween aesthetic is exceptionally off the mark, even for them.
Jesus, FC! Can we not just hang anthropomorphic figures and trees in a downtown Southern city right now? Oh my word!
Sounds like she had a cold bologna sandwich.
So, she's upset. And she's upset because she says that the ghost decorations look like a white supremacist KKK lynching.
Now, I've never been to a lynching, but I'm pretty certain that to lynch requires a rope hanging from a tree branch, and normally there's again. For a lynching, and I don't mean any disrespect to anybody, but there is normally a bodily body dangling from the end of the rope, right? The noose. If Boba Wallace, in his case, it wasn't a noose; it was a garage door handle because the other one had been broken. But in this case, I don't see this here, Dylan.
I am looking at the the ghost figures, and they basically look like. Ghost. That's probably what most people think too. And I just—I mean, what kind of where is your brain at that you're walking through Knoxville, Tennessee, and you're like, "Oh my word, they're lynching black people." If anything, it looks like members of the KKK, like a whole KKK brigade, got lynched because they're all wearing bed sheets. She just needs to change her perspective just a little bit.
I think one of them is a floral print. That must be a gay Klansman. I may be mistaken. I don't know. Jesus, I just say that.
I said that. I shouldn't have said that. You know, I am going to get a visit now. I know what I am dressing up for. There'll be a there'll be a little miniature cross burning in my potted plant.
Oh yeah, you know on the porch. It's terrible.
So anyway, yeah, people are all they're all in a tizzy right now. And folks, just take a deep breath, a long deep breath. It has been almost a hundred years since anybody has been lynched in in the South.
So I don't think that's a big problem. I mean, it's a terrible thing. Don't get me wrong. I mean, it's awful. But yeah, people aren't getting lynched every day down here in Dixie.
I I don't know who needs to hear that, but you know, when I was in Memphis or in Atlanta, people were asking me, "Todd, is it safe to go to Memphis?" I said, "Well, is it safe to go to Atlanta?" Are you kidding me? But it's a fair question. It's a fair question.
