Sports radio legend Chris Meddog Russo. Coming up, NFL network host Colleen Wolf. And now sitting in for Rich, it's Suzie Shuster. Oh yeah, back at the chair. Suzie Shuster in for Rich Eisen.

Thrilled to be here with you. Hour number three of the Rich Eisen Show is underway. 844-204 Rich. You know I'm going to take your call because I love when people call in. She loves callers. I love callers. I love callers almost as much as Colleen Wolf loves the tush push. That's what I would just say.

So Colleen, it's been a really questionable show. I mean, every time these dirty dogs hear something tush push related, like they don't say this when Rich is in the chair. There's no conversation.

I happen to mention that I had been researching the tush push before coming on and these like idiots just start cackling like they're in seventh grade. Colleen, all I did was tell her to delete the browser history. That's all. You know what I mean? I mean, don't you do that anyway? Right. Incognito mode.

You'll never have to. Only incognito mode. Come on. What are we doing? Amateur hour. Amateur hour.

I mean amateur hour. You guys are the ones cackling over the word. Like if Rich was sitting in the chair and he says tush push, you guys don't even. But I say it. Have you met us? You think we wouldn't laugh? By the way, it's so true.

It's so true. Hey, how are you? I'm great.

I'm great. You know, it's funny because you say that and there's so many words that I cannot use on the air or in regular conversation to describe plays in football that guys can. And I would go down the list right now, but I don't want all of the knuckleheads laughing the entire time.

But I just want to say we're working with half of a lexicon that's available to us. Well, you're not even kidding. I want to hear these words, to be honest with you. I won't laugh or promise.

No, you don't. Don't make promises you can't keep. T.J., come on. Come on.

Don't make promises that you can't keep. Sirianni talked to this morning at the Combine about it, and obviously Sean McDermott did as well. Sean McDermott wants to get rid of it.

Sirianni wants to keep it. What do you think, both as a NFL Network contributor and correspondent and as an Eagles fan? Well, it's kind of crazy because I am aligned on both fronts as the host at NFL Network and as Colleen Wolf from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Are you kidding me? Like, we're really going to penalize the Eagles for being incredibly good at this play. And just because other teams can't stop it, they want to disallow it. That's ridiculous. Todd Bowles even said it's up to defensive coaches and defensive players to stop the tush push from working.

And if you can't do it, then that's your problem. But the Eagles have figured out how to execute a play perfectly and make it their own. So I don't think that now they should have to not do it anymore and it be banned from the league. Come on, let's let's get better at defending it. How about that? Well, Neil de Grass Tyson did say on your show on Sunday for the Super Bowl and in the forty five hours that you guys were talking about, they came before the Super Bowl show is still going.

By the way, Rich is somewhere still in the bowels of like the fourth right now, although we already know that he's probably already pushed a lot of old people out of the way to get on who is playing to Indy. But that's a whole nother conversation. But, you know, a physicist told Kyle Brandt that you cannot stop the tush push because of physics. So if it's not a defendable play, Chris Brackman was saying, well, then why wouldn't you run in every play? And I said, well, that's ridiculous. So, I mean, to me, it's like it's a combination of if Sean McDermott is saying, I think this should be banned and he's on the competition committee, but he's the team that runs it the second most. Is this sour grapes? Is this just because people can't stop it? And if they could stop it, I mean, is this just protecting more offensive players? Is this just another slander on the defensive side?

What is it? Make sense of this, please? I mean, it's it's like hypocritical for Sean McDermott to want this play to be banned when he uses it so much, as you said. But you know what? Like, why don't you come up with a play that can't be stopped either?

Why don't you defy physics? Like that's I mean, the Eagles did it, so you can too. What do you think people are going to be buzzing about? Let's go to the combine now. So as you head out there and you're going to be out there for the next five days again, doing just endless hours of commentary on the combine, who are you most interested in? Well, I mean, Suzy, first of all, when I go to Indy, I've never felt shorter in my life and I'm almost five, too.

So I'm pretty short in all situations. But when I descend upon the combine, it's just unbelievable. The height of these guys, it's like just a bunch of gladiators walking around, followed by nerds that are grading them.

And let me be clear, I'm one of the nerds. I'm just not grading them. So it's just like polo shirts and pleated khaki pants all over Indianapolis and then the players, obviously. So the draft at the overall consensus is that it's not like a really top and talent strong draft. But because of the experience in it, there's going to be a lot of rookie starters. The quarterbacks are not as strong as last year. We obviously saw six go in the first round, and that was an unbelievable amount of talent for quarterbacks. But this is going to be good for defensive line.

It's going to be good for dynamic DBs. There's some good running backs and there's some good wide receivers in this class, too. So as we look at the guys who are going to throw it, because we know the list is fairly long of the guys who won't throw, we're looking at kind of Jackson Dart. We're looking at Milro from Alabama. McCord, your Syracuse guy, right?

Kyle McCord, who I think I believe. Huh? Yes, I like him a lot. You're a guy. You like him a lot.

It is. So does Jordan Palmer. He does.

All right. So we can we can ask you about him when in a second. Riley Leonard. We could talk about some of these guys. Are people like what's the buzz potential on some of these guys? Because it just feels like you've got this row of elite quarterbacks. You've got this secondary group that's going to throw. And then you got everyone saying, well, no one's as good as they were last year anyway. So why are we bothering?

Like, where do you sit in this one, Colleen? Well, I always find it so funny because it kind of feels like the same thing every year. It's a little Groundhog's Day to me, because every year we hear, I don't know this draft.

It's like it's a little weak. It's not as strong as last year. Last year's draft class was blah, blah, blah, blah. And then same thing with some of these top prospects. And then as soon as the combine happens, it's like, oh, my God, so and so ran this 40, did so great. And all of a sudden, all of these prospects are top prospects. And this draft is deep and talented. And I kind of expect the same exact thing to happen, maybe not so much with the quarterbacks, but maybe bumping up some other positions to that higher end of the first round. But I honestly just feel like every year you come in and it's the same thing. Like, I don't know. I don't know about these guys and the talent, but honestly, like talk to me next week and things will be different.

And then as we get closer to the draft, it's just more and more. Yeah. And Quinn, you as I should mention him, because I think we're just still having headaches over what he did to Michigan at Michigan. I mean, Chris, you love Kyle. Oh, Kyle McCord.

Yeah. Jordan Palmer came in and detailed exactly why he should not be slept on. He should be a middle round pick and has a chance to really start in the league.

Look, Colleen, you know this better than most. Every year there's like 60 quarterbacks who end up playing because guys get hurt, concussions, you miss a week here and there. And you're looking for that in the draft. And especially in these middle rounds, these college quarterbacks who have played two, three, four years, they have the experience and they have the ability to come in and play right away. And you don't have to worry about them. They're not the Anthony Richardson project types.

They have 40, 50 stars. Just look at Bo Nix did this year. They have all these starts under the belt so they can come in and be productive right away. And that's what you're getting in. Quinn Ewers, Kyle McCord, right? That's what you're getting in these guys. And they should be highly sought after during this draft coming up. Yeah, I think that any time you have a quarterback that has experience over potential, like when GM see the potential, it's almost like, oh, my God, is this like shiny new car?

And of course you want it. But like how you're going to be parking it outside, maybe it might get scratched. Like you kind of want to go with the thing that is absolutely like not certain, but you know that it's going to be reliable. And you know that it's been in these situations before, like the players that have these reps and the experience, they're the ones that come in and they can build upon the foundations that they already bring in. But really, it's kind of it's such a crapshoot with the draft because so many things have to align, especially for the quarterback. You have to have the right coaches. You need to land in the right place with the right players around you.

You need the right style of teaching. You need injury luck to play into it, too. There's just so many things that have to go right and so many times things go wrong and then it comes back on the player and the GM.

But really, it's just the situation wasn't great. Colleen Wolfe joining us here on The Rich Eisen Show, Susie Schuster in for Rich Eisen. What I love about the combine are the surprises. I remember in 2006, Rich called me and he said, Who is this kid, Vernon Davis? Didn't you cover him at Maryland? And I said, Yeah, you know, I had covered him for two, three years there. And he said to me, he is exploding all over the combine. And he came in and he lifted. He ran the shuttle. It was sick. I mean, he he played himself up to the number six pick because people really didn't know who he was like. The Terrapins weren't really registering.

They hadn't been that good in the ACC that year. So who do you think will be somebody that might surprise people in this combine? Well, I don't know if people will be super surprised, but I do think that Will Johnson has a chance to run the fastest 40. And that's always the thing that everybody wants to see.

Everyone wants to know. I mean, there are people sitting in the stands still with their own stopwatches timing timing guys. I mean, this is like the marquee event for the combine and Will Johnson. Nothing will raise your draft stock more than running the fastest 40 or running a 40, at least that people don't expect you to do. And conversely, if for a guy speed is the question, like for someone, a wide receiver like Arian Smith, for instance, like he could really affect his draft stock if he ends up running well, because that's the question for him is the speed. The question I have for you is, can you beat Rich in the 40? Absolutely. No question. I know.

I'm short, so I'm like aerodynamic. That's very easy and yet sad at the same time. I mean, last question. You were at the Eagles parade. What was that like? I mean, so here you are. And I'm sure that you got recognized, right?

Because you're on TV every five seconds. But what was it like seeing your team, seeing the parade, trying not to be absolutely hammered just because just in case. So explain what your experience was like. OK, well, first of all, I really could not get absolutely hammered because the whole reason I was in town was for my Uncle Jack's wedding. So I was always going to be in Philadelphia on February 14th and it just so happened to be the Eagles parade.

So I wasn't even planning originally to go to it. And then I ended up there. I wasn't working. It was the first time that I'm at some type of event like this where I'm just kind of like a fan, a civilian. And it was so much fun. And I ended up calling in to the network. So I guess I could count that as a day of work.

But I told them, I'm like, I have some fireball just in my pocket right now. Like, it was such a good time. Everyone was just like elated. It was euphoric. And I felt like the first parade for the Eagles, it was more of a release like it finally happened.

They did it. It was almost like people were a little exhausted from holding on so tight to the wheel. And then this time it was more of a party like, oh, my God, we did it again.

Let's run it back and go a third time. So it's just it was a very different experience for me, but it was very fun to see everyone out together, all celebrating the same thing, all getting along. I mean, Eagles fans are amazing, as you know.

I mean, the media always talks about how great they are. But that day was. Now, listen to me. Here's what you do. You take your expense report, right? Because you called in.

You take Uncle Jack's expenses for that wedding and you just submit the mark. You know what I'm saying? You called in. That's work, babe.

I'm not saying right there. You're welcome. Yeah. Colleen, as a fellow person who's seen lots of parades for their favorite team.

Oh, boy. Yeah, I like it. Which one did you enjoy more? The one a few years ago or this latest one?

I I enjoyed the first one just because it hadn't been done before. And it was so it was just so different for the city to be celebrating the Eagles in a championship because when the Phillies won the World Series back in what was that, 2008, that was a massive event. Nothing like that had happened in so long.

But the Eagles are really the heart and soul of Philadelphia. And so when they got it done and the way they got it done with Nick Foles beating the Patriots and Tom Brady, come on, like who saw that coming? Who thought that that would work? And it ended up happening and it was just destiny.

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about, but it's been great having you on. Maybe Matt Patricia. They didn't beat Tom Brady. They did not beat Tom Brady.

All right. They did not beat Tom Brady. How do you feel about the Phillies special?

They did not beat Tom Brady. Ban should be banned. I hate everything about. Yeah, you do as an angry Mets fan. How is that parade? Wait a minute.

Met from Phillies. I bounce around. Maybe I bounce around fast. All right. Safe travels. We'll see you when you get back. Thanks for taking the time. All right.

Bye, guys. She's tiny. She is. She makes me look like she said she's tall for. I know. When I stand next to her, I look like she's like her bodyguard. I know she's cute.

I love her. Dylan, you hung up. I was so excited to take Dylan's call. He was on for so long.

Four to four. Rich Dylan. I was just about to get to you.

Be patient. Come on, Dylan. Come on back.

Janine from Billings, Montana. You're a sports fan and you don't like fantasy yet because you're smart. Yes, I am. Yeah. And I must I just wanted to give you a huge shout out because I love all sports and I think I am one of the few people left on this entire planet that don't participate in the fantasy thing because I root for a team.

That's right. As well, you should. And I like players and it's hard enough to stick with a team now because everybody switches teams all the time. It's not like it was, you know, 15, 20 years ago. Yes, I'm old because, you know, then you didn't have draft and you didn't have like, oh, well, it's the middle of the season.

We're going to trade players now. But Janine, I bet you have a life, too. I mean, that's the thing is like I have a life. Oh, my God.

Yeah. I mean, I will say that, like, I have a brother out in Seattle who lives in Bree's fantasy and he goes to what I would only consider a drunk fest for his draft every year and calls me. And I just have him set up on my phone as like drunk uncle. And and he calls from his draft every year. And he's just like, oh, my God, who should I pick? And I'm just like, oh, dear Lord, it's got time to have a hamburger draft. Janine, that's how much time he's got on his hands.

That's my birthday. Janine, who is your team, Janine? I am a I am a Kansas City fan, but I've been a Kansas City fan since it was Marty Schottenheimer. Since when Joe Montana went there after San Francisco got rid of them and when Marcus Allen was there, when the Raiders got rid of them. So I've been a longtime Kansas City fan.

My husband is a Pittsburgh fan. So there was some drama in our house at Christmas. Yeah, I bet there was.

I bet there was. Janine call back again. We love talking to you any time. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for your day. It is our pleasure.

That is Janine in Montana to you and Janine. I sound boring because, oh, because if you're going to go, why don't you buy your own champagne and you're fighting the hand that literally feeds you? At least you have fantasy that like fall back on if you don't have fantasy. And here's the deal in Brooklyn. You love fantasy baseball and you're really good at it. But imagine that you stunk at fantasy baseball and the Red Sox. Oh my God, that would be terrible.

It'd be the worst summer ever. And here's the deal. I can still, you know, the Red Sox are my number one and Celtics are number one. I can just not pick team players from other teams. I hate the Yankees. I don't have any Yankees on my fantasy team. That's on purpose.

But you could be better at fantasy if you pick some Yankees. So why wouldn't you do that? Now they stink. I had to do away with that. So you draw the line. I draw the line.

No Yankees. I used to be that way. Like I wouldn't draft an eagle or a giant or a Washington football team member. And then the one year I changed my tune. I actually won. I shouldn't say actually except one before, but I won the championship that year when I specifically went after you had Saquon in the Dillingham way this year.

But you guys, this is crazy. So what you're saying is you love fantasy and you want to win, but you don't want to win enough to take the team that you hate the most. I don't want to make a decision. You're either going to win or you're not. So I'm being loyal to my team, which according to Janine comes first, right?

So I don't want to root for anyone on the Yankees, so I don't take them. Whatever. That's insane.

Janine's smart. Like I have a life. I got things to do. You're insane. No, you know, baseball is a lot of different.

You got to do it every day. All right. We're going to argue. Let's take a break. When we come back, I do want to talk about Diana Taurasi retiring because she is the GOAT. She is awesome. Wow. Yeah, we can fight. We could fight.

Let's give her her due when we come back right here on the Rich Eisen Show. In the NFL, there's no margin for error. Forty one. That's one key. That's one key. Grab the key. Take the middle key. Take the middle key. There's five keys.

Yes. He takes the middle key. Oh, he's not looking. He takes the second to the right key. I didn't look.

Oh, my gosh. Does it unlock the car? Let's go. Does it unlock the car? Does it unlock the car?

Does it unlock the car? He's turning the key. Oh, TJ.

Welcome back to the Rich Eisen Show Radio Network. I'm sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk, furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry. Grainger's got the right product for you. Call click ranger dot com or just stop by. Guys, my kids say that in the car now.

They're like, call click ranger dot com or just stop by. All right. Terzo in Iowa. I get it.

You think I'm crazy to not like fantasy, by the way. Eight four four two or four. Rich is the number to call. You know I'm going to take your call.

Terzo. Well, I have a life. The reason the reason the reason I say that, though, is because we just love to take in so much football. And I think it just adds to all of the excitement of it. I'm the biggest diehard forty niner fan, you know, out there.

But I'm still at any point in time going to want to root for some players just because there's always that little bit of fun and action in there. Yeah, I get it. I know. But still, like how much time do you devote to fantasy a week? I'm curious.

Well, well, it depends. Like Brockman was saying, with basketball and baseball, that takes so much time and so much effort. And I have a hard time with doing those anymore. I'm strictly mostly just baseball. But our Carl's fantasy draft day is absolutely amazing. And I make some of the best chili.

And it is usually gone by the time we get halfway through the draft. My follow up question is, are you married? I am not married, but my girlfriend really does like my cookie. OK, so girlfriend, but not married. How does she feel about your fantasy issues? Oh, she doesn't worry about that.

There's plenty. That's that's that's that's the least part that we got to worry about. It's more it's more about my five team NBA parlays that we ever have to have a conversation. Attaboy.

Attaboy. Who's number one in fantasy going into next year? Number one next year. You go Bijan or Saquon? I think I think I go Bijan because I think it's his final breakout year. And I don't know if Saquon's going to replicate what they did last year.

That's just tough for the running backs to have great back to back seasons that we've seen with Chris McCaffrey. Yeah. Agreed. Although Marshall Falk had a couple of great seasons back to back to back and he and it's his birthday. Happy birthday, Marshall.

And he joins us tomorrow. Thanks, Terzo. Appreciate your call. Well, what do you got?

Just one quick thing. Margarita Thursday sounds amazing. Mimosa Friday sounds better.

Kyle's on Saturday. Even better. We need to make it happen. Yeah. Right.

See, buddy. And by the way, I'm just saying, you know, you could pack up that chili in like a little city. Bring here. Right.

So visit us. I'm all for it. Terzo, thanks for your time. Appreciate it.

844-204, which is the number to call. The NFLPA league grades are out, guys. And the Jets ownership got an F. They would be grounded in my house. I'm just saying because that I mean, I checked Sanders grades the other day and let's just say one of them had gone south and it turns out that he had not submitted some homework.

Just saying he may or may not have lost technology of all sorts until that grade went back up. The Jets have an F, guys. The bottom of this list is kind of interesting. Jets F Panthers D minus. I guess, you know, I guess that you can understand that.

Yeah, but that's not a shocker. Cardinals as well. You know, there they were poor grades across the board. Patriots D Steelers D Patriots D. What happened?

I've seen lots of complaints about the travel, the facilities, the weight room, how they treat the families and friends. Like, yeah, I feel like they used to get an A all the time. Buccaneers D plus. So a lot of teams have won some Super Bowls. These teams are at the bottom of this list.

Chiefs C minus. So that's the bottom. I can't believe the bottom seven. Chiefs, Bucks, Steelers, Patriots, and then Cardinals, Panthers, Jets. Wow.

What are the grades standing out to you, Christopher? Top of the list. I mean, the three best franchises to go in terms of ownership.

Dolphins A plus, Falcons A plus, Vikings A plus. Wow. None of them. I mean, that's just strange. Interesting. It's really, it's really interesting. The Super Bowl winning team seemed to be all at the bottom of this. I mean, why do you figure TJ? I'm just now looking at this.

So I have no idea. The biggest, the biggest leap that commanders have been traditionally at the bottom of this list when it comes to ownership, obviously Dan Snyder, awful. Now they're at an A. They have an A.

They're like an eighth. The Dolphins have A's across the board. A plus. Treatment of families. A. Food. Dining area. A plus. Nutrition.

Dietitian. A plus. Locker room. A plus. Training room. Training snap.

Weight room. A plus. I mean, by this, this team should be defending Super Bowl champion at this.

One of the things I thought too is interesting. Six head coaches got an A plus. You guys want to care to guess?

Have you seen this list yet? Mike McDaniel. Mike McDaniel.

A plus. Okay. Mike McDaniel. Let me think.

Think about the team that's been in the Super Bowl bunch lately. Yes. Sirianni. No. Andy Reid.

Andy Reid. What did Sirianni get? Sirianni did not get A minus. Yeah. D'Amico Ryan. A. A? A.

Not an A plus. Raheem Morris. Oh yeah. Dan Quinn. Kevin O'Connell. Interesting.

Dan Campbell. So the Vikings got good grades across the board. They did. Huh. I mean, they had a great year last year. Yeah. Obviously.

But they got good, good ownership facilities. The bottom three head coaches all finished with C's. Matt Eberfluss fired. Doug Peterson fired. Kevin Stefanski.

Wow. Super hot seat with the Browns. You think that was just Miles Garrett voting over and over and over. Miles Garrett just burned a hole through everybody.

Vote C. I mean, Stefanski can go and talk about wanting him there and Andrew Baric can go and talk about, you know, we see a future with Miles Garrett there. You don't want an angry player in your locker room. And yes, he's got a couple of years left.

Yes, he's one of the best players in the league. But boy, if a guy wants to trade, don't you put together some kind of incredible package and figure this out. I am concerned. I mean, they have enough issues in that locker room. What would you do, Chris?

Yeah. With the mouse Garrett thing, I'm just wondering if obviously right now he wants out. I'm just wondering if maybe after free agency, he maybe sits down and sees that they do have a plan in place. Do they bring in Sam Darnell, a quarterback?

Is it is it Kirk Cousins? I don't know. Maybe they make some moves, add some guys. And he thinks, oh, maybe we are at a better chance to compete.

Maybe I will stay. I'm just wondering, because it seems like they're really dug in on not getting rid of this guy. Why would you want to TJ perennial defensive player of the year? Probably go to the Hall of Fame. Probably you don't want to get rid of this guy. So it's like, I'm wondering if maybe in a month it's, you know, they maybe come to some sort of agreement that to give it one more shot.

Yeah, Parker Cousins. I just think about that. He goes home. He's like, I'm going home.

My God bless you. You know, I'm going to my wife's my wife's neck of the woods. I was settled. And then you're like, ah, and maybe not. And maybe I'm back on the road.

I hope you were renting. Yeah. And maybe we won't be doing that.

Chris, are there already storylines that you are already sick of in the NFL? There are. And I got a top five hit it.

One, two, three, four, five Rockman's. That was eerie. That's so, so creepy. It's a little icky.

I'm not going to lie, but there's an ick factor on that one too. Foe can't can be with us. All right. I got a top five. And as you mentioned, here it is a top five NFL offseason storylines. I'm already sick of, I'm already sick of them.

Okay. See, we're in the off season. What, two weeks, two weeks, two weeks ago. I'm already sick of all these things. There is no off season, Chris.

Number five. We need one. That's half the problem. Non-playing season, non-playing season. Thank you. And we've been talking about it all show teams.

Why in the tush push band? You bunch of sore losers figure out how to stop it. You can't stop it too.

You could do it. You have five, six, seven offensive lineman. Tell your quarterback to get in the weight room and start squatting like Jalen hurts. Get your big ass running back back there and have them push you. And if you can't do that, look what the Ravens do. They have Mark Andrews running.

They've got Zach Ertz running it. Uh, we've been doing with Arizona and Washington. You could do this too. Stop being a bunch of babies and figure it out. All right. Jeez. You okay over there? I thought this was the NFL. You okay? Well, I'm worried about it over there. If you can't figure out to stop the tush push, then you're fired. You're out.

You have no job. I'm with you on the one since so if I back in the day, if all we were doing running the football and all of a sudden I saw a team starting to use a forward pass, don't you think after a while I'd be like, Hey, maybe I should start throwing this ball down. Maybe we should start doing this for passing.

Maybe like you said, if you can't beat them, join them. What are we doing? I mean, it was four yards in the cloud of dust at one point, right? Right.

Now it's two yards and a big old scrum and figure it out. What else is bothering you? And we were just talking about it.

Uh, miles Garrett trade request. Come on, man. How about you? How much are you making like bro? And I get you want to win a Superbowl, but come on. How far away are you?

Really? All I heard all off season was how close the Browns were. And it was like, yeah, they're a quarterback away.

Can Deshaun get away? And then we got hurt. Didn't we realize bro, there's quarterbacks out there right now.

And you guess what? You have the second pick in the draft. Like let's go. You're not that far away. We saw what the second pick in the draft, the last two seasons has done, right?

I'm pretty good. Remind me of one thing at the end of this, Jayden Daniels almost made the super bowl and CJ straps want to play off game two years in a row. You guys aren't that far away. Cleveland stay put miles.

They love you there. Yeah, it's true. But if he's mad and he wants out, he having an angry player in the locker room can poison the whole locker room. And that locker room's already had some issues. I forget who said this.

I think it was, it was Don Allmeyer. The answer to all of your problems is more money. Just throw money at it. And he's going to be happy. Number three, you know, that's not true. Number three of off season storylines. I'm already sick of TJ.

What position is Travis Hunter going to play in the NFL? Guess what? How can you be sick of that already?

It's brand new. Here's what I'm sick of it. He's the best player in the draft. He should play wherever you want him to play. You want him to play 60, 70 snaps on defense.

Great. You let you let him, you want him to play 60, 70 snaps on offense. Guess what? You let him, he's going to be your best defensive player. He's going to be your best offensive player. He's going to stop their best player from getting the ball. And when you get him the ball, he's going to score touchdowns.

Oh, right. Because guess what? You know what he's got in his house?

I don't know whose house it's at. He's got the Heisman trophy. He should be the first pick in the draft. He's the best player in the draft. I don't care. I don't want to talk about this 60% here and he's going to play 30% here. He's going to do this.

No, whatever he wants to do, you let him do it. Oh man. Wow. I'm so fired up. Number two, speaking of whose house Rams house, I knew it. Matt Stafford's future.

I'm already insanely sick of this storyline. You know where Matt Stafford's best place to win a Super Bowl is? The place where he won one four years ago. The LA Rams.

That's the best spot for him. You know, again, it goes back to my point two points ago. The answer to all of your problems is more money. Okay. As Stan Kroenke, he owns, he owns that fancy wine that all you rich people like. He owns the Rams, the Avalanche.

It's called Screaming Eagle, Chris. Come on. Thank you for proving my point. And he owns. I'm just hoping he sends me a bottle. He owns that huge complex over there right down the street.

He's super, my point is he's super rich. Pay Matthew Stafford $50 million and let's move on so the Rams can get back to contending for Super Bowls because if I know it was two weeks ago, they played the team that won the Super Bowl the best in the playoffs. And if it wasn't probably snowing and windy and freezing rain that day in Philadelphia, all respect to Colleen, Colleen Wolf, Philly's not a great place. They probably would have won the game. All right, so just pay Matthew Stafford and let's wrap this up. I don't remember who it was. I remember hearing somebody say this week on some podcast, Matthew Stafford's got to make a lot more money. They owe him 50 million.

Forget about it. If he makes anything less than that, he should just retire. And I was like, wow, you must be really rich because by the way, they might meet him at 40.

He might meet him at 30 and that is a lot of money, a lot of money to say like, oh, he should just retire. Like, I don't think so. I'm cooking over here. Number one, number one. And I have been sick of this storyline for at least four years, T.J. Aaron Rodgers landing spots. I don't care.

This guy, this guy, this guy, what are we doing? Who cares? He's not winning anymore. Whatever team he goes to isn't going to do anything. They're not going to win a playoff game.

They probably won't even make it. He needs to just go away and let us all enjoy the rest of our football lives. Where is A.A. Ron right now? Who cares? Who cares? Exactly.

That's what I'm saying. Who cares? J. Felley hit it. I think we need one more.

All right, we'll get one more. T.J., I'm sorry. The Cowboys saying that selectively aggressive and free agency.

This story has been out for one day and I'm already sick of it. T.J., you know what's going to happen. This is all in 2.0. Nothing's going to happen. Nothing.

Nothing. And I'm sorry. And I apologize to you that we're going to have to talk about this day in and day out between now and the third week in April when we're all in Green Bay. We're probably freezing our butts off because it's going to be cold.

Whose idea was it to go to Wisconsin in April? That sounds terrible. Yeah, I don't like that. Cowboys selectively aggressive? Like what are we doing?

Like how much did the Jones family pay some consulting firm to come up with this phrase? Like OK, here's the deal. We can't do all in again. We did that last year and that was an absolute disaster. What sounds like all in but isn't actually saying all selectively aggressive.

The Jones, that's two hundred and fifty thousand dollars sold. This is like this is like this is like unconsciously uncoupling or consciously uncoupling. That's uncoupling.

Remember consciously. What was that? That was the Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin divorce.

We're going to consciously uncouple divorce. Just say what it is. T.J., what what even is so terrible? What even is selectively aggressive? Here's what selectively aggressive is 24 hours of two words that were picked out of what I'm assuming to be well over a 40 minute press conference by Stephen Jones.

I didn't watch it, but I intend to. And somebody decided to pick that those two words out of probably thirty thousand words that he said. And now we as the media are going to beat this to death for the next seven, eight years. You're watching you're watching The Severn Show. Yeah. And they're sitting there. Mark Mark is sitting there is sitting there and he's trying to he's moving the numbers down for some sort of it's got to be like a cloning thing. Right.

I have no idea what's going on in that show. Then that's what the words are. It was like a word thing. And they're just kind of moving the words down or whatever, like and they're 85 percent complete.

And that's where they got selectively aggressive. And I'm already sick of this story. And it's like 24 hours old. So imagine how I feel. That's my top. That's a mic drop.

That's my thank you so much for that. Breathe. Breathe. Towel off. Take a drink. Hit the locker room. Take a breather. OK. Yeah.

Thanks a lot for that. Hey, Sam in Fort Worth, Texas, we're going to get to you. Don't hang up. Don't be like Dylan. I think Dylan got in trouble with his boss because they saw him like hanging on. Dylan, we're going to be here the next two days.

I'm wonderful yourself. You realize that you're the main reason I even listen to this show, don't you? Sam, I want you to call in every single time I'm sitting in the chair just to say that again and again. At least you've got a smart man on the other line. You know, that's what I have to say.

What's on your mind? Well, John Brockman is rarely wrong. Thank you, sir. But he is now. Guys, meet my cousin, Sam. He must be.

Rarely wrong. But you have a question for you and kind of the industry. The Luca trade sparked some of it, some of the moves in the in the sports lately with trades and players doing this or that. If you could have a 100 percent, you or anyone, honest show and broadcast without fear of owners or players or your networks and contracts coming back to haunt you. How different do you think some people's shows would be when they could speak honestly on virtually every topic, whether it's trades, how hard players are playing, if they're worth the money, what owners stink, which how much would it change a broadcast if you could be 100 percent honest all the time? Well, you know, it's funny that you said that.

And Sam, it's a great question, because Richard and I talk about this all the time. You know, he always speaks his mind, even though he works for the National Football League. That was the agreement that he made when he took the job 20 something years ago. And he always feels like he can speak his mind. I know as somebody who's lived in locker rooms as a reporter. You speak your mind when somebody doesn't play well, you have to go deal with them the next day. And that happened to me many a time that I would say something remotely critical and I'd have to go in and make sure that the player was cool with it. And there'd be other times where a player would ice me out and I had to get him back. J.R. Ryder being one of those guys, that's going to date me. But I mean, that's crazy, right?

Isaiah, J.R., you name it. But I think a lot of people are too worried about what people think of them and less about what they're willing to say on television or on the radio. I know that I always felt like if I were a good reporter, I would say what I saw. And nobody ever really paid me for my opinion. I was not an opinion person.

Now it's much more fun because I can say what I want without having repercussion. But I feel like that comes with the responsibility and that I think if you're going to opine, Sam, you have to be willing to show up and put your money where your mouth is. But don't you worry about risking relationships with teams and access as a result of being too honest?

100 percent. But then what's the point of being on TV? I mean, when I was on in Los Angeles, there was one anchor that literally his job was to be the players best friends. It was a joke. We all knew he'd invite them to go golfing.

He'd go out at night and hang out with him. It's like, dude, like it's I mean, I was going to say what I was going to call it on TV. But then again, I think this is a TV 14 show on the Roku Sports Channel. But I really appreciate your call.

I hope that you'll call back. And obviously, you're very smart because you like it when I'm on the show. But that's just a whole other bottle of wax. I mean, I'm just saying, TJ, the guy's got priorities. It's a great question because a lot of people don't have the courage to be honest about watching because of you know about saying what's on their mind. Also, what you're trying to get out of doing what we do. It's like, do you want to be friends with the players?

That's it. Then cool. Then you can be friends with the players and that's fine. But like your analysis is going to be obviously skewed in that way.

Or if you just want to tell it like it is or how you think it is, then some of the players aren't going to like you, obviously. Don't let the urge to sing along to that catchy tune distract you from that truck drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting bike or creeping up beside you. That drives me insane. And guys, we cannot have this show on the Roku Sports Channel without taking a minute to say thank you to Diana Taurasi. And I say that as the new executive producer and the new co-host of Women's Sports Now, which is coming to you on Roku. It's going to be great. The first show ever devoted to women's sports.

And I can't wait to be a part of it. And a lot of that is about Diana Taurasi. She retires after 20 WNBA seasons, three titles, six Olympic golds. And by the way, spent her entire career with the Mercury.

That is sick. And she also took Yukon to three straight national titles from 2001 to 2004. And then the Mercury took her to number one in the 2004 WNBA draft. And she's been winning ever since. But she's a leader.

She's a goat. I so appreciate the intensity of what she played and the fact that she brought physicality. And I know you'll say Cheryl and I love Cheryl Miller and there's a lot of other strong women who play for the WNBA, but for a mom of a baller, she showed people what it meant to bring physicality. Jito Auriemma had a great quote.

He said, it's a life that's a novel, a movie, a miniseries, a saga. It's the life of an extraordinary person who I think had as much to do with changing women's basketball as anyone who ever played the game. Diana Taurasi, I think you're the greatest. I hope that you will join us on our first show right here on Women's Sports Now on the Roku channel, because I think she is awesome. And she really did single-handedly change the game of women's basketball. So we give you your flowers and we say thank you for an incredibly, incredibly impactful career. I mean, TJ, you love the WNBA.

You like the association. Can you think of someone else? You mentioned Cheryl Miller, obviously, and I have kudos and so much love and respect for Cheryl, but you say Diana Taurasi and you're like, but you say Diana Taurasi and you just think tight ball, tight bun on top of her head and baller, correct? Well, she, Taurasi was also the type who she talked a lot of trash.

Like she wasn't out there to make friends. She was out there to bust your ass and put up 20 and win basketball games. And so when I think about her, you know, that's what I think of like an ultimate competitor, someone who would get down and dirty and tell you about yourself, you know, and yeah, and she always seemed to be having fun though, too, on top of all that, which is also the worst, Chris, when you used to play when somebody's out there just busting you up and then they're kind of laughing and laughing at you and having fun. It's like, there's nothing worse because you can't, you can't out trash talk her and you can't stop her or the court player.

Yeah, we were talking about this yesterday. Now Rushmore, female basketball player, 100%. She's got to be, she's got to be, I mean, the Olympics, college ball, WNBA, she made the all WNBA first team 10 times, was on the first or second team 14 times. You know, it's, it's all well and good to come into a league and have a couple of years, but for her to play like Sue Bird, for her to play, as long as these women did with such a high level of intensity and impact, she set the stage for aggressivity and for like playing with compunction.

And again, as the mother of a daughter who is now learning to play more physically. And by the way, Rich is right. I almost threw down at a game recently because I got mansplained too.

That's just a little side note. Excuse me, ma'am. This is after Taylor gets thrown to the ground and she's crying and you know, Taylor's tough and for Taylor to cry in a game and I call for an injury timeout because we have injury timeouts because it's an under 12 rec league.

And the guy comes over, he goes, ma'am, basketball's a physical game. And I saw red. I was like, and like, you know, Chris, I never had a Boston accent. I never came out with one.

Right. But I was like, are you mansplaining? I saw red. I'm like, I cover the NBA for 20 years. Did you play in it?

And I'm like, you are not going to talk to me in front of my girls in a girls league and mansplain to me about the physicality of basketball. I channeled my Diana Taurasi and I let him have it. Well, your number one got thrown to the ground. So that's right. Thank you.

Wait, what? I slid that one in. That was cute. Anyway, Diana Taurasi, we love you. We think you're the greatest. And this is an open invite to join us here in the Rich Eisen Show Studios on Women's Sports Now. Sounds like an old ESPN thing.
