How are you, man? I am, in fact, Rich Eisen. I can confirm that this is also, as always, brought to you by our friends at Game Time. The fast and easy way to buy tickets for all the sports, music, comedy, and theater events near you.

No, it's definitely not. Okay, good. By the way, I went Scooby-Doo. You went Mission Impossible. Yeah, yeah.
Those meddling kids. Are you ready, Chris? Dude, Sunday was crazy. As always, for those who might be listening, Chris Bradman has his subject matters for this Overreaction Monday podcast and a piece of paper turned over. Turned over.
So I can't find out the answers to the test in advance. Again, it's like blackjack. Like when you're doubling down. Right. Flip it over.
I don't want to know. Here we go. Hit it. Hit it.
Hit it. That was terrible. That was crap. That was garbage. This place sucks. Overreaction Mondays. All right, Christopher, let's get rolling. Hey, let's go, Rich.
With three weeks left to go, the Bills are your Super Bowl favorites. Are they? Oh, you mean in the desert? Yes. Slightly. They are. Yeah. Right now. Right now. After 15 weeks of play, with the exception of a Monday night doubleheader in which really only one of the teams has Super Bowl aspirations. Absolutely. Yeah, yeah. And with all due respect to Atlanta playing tonight, needing to keep pace with the rampaging Buccaneers now, they are the favorites.
The town where Mo Green has no plaque or a signpost to remember him creating this outpost. Yeah, I think I saw their plus 450 and the Lions were plus 480. Not even the Eagles are above the Lions now. No. I don't know. I'm going to push back.
Really? Yeah. Oh, I thought you'd be all in on this one. You know, as the Super Bowl favorites that the Bills are going to win. Well, they have the best player in the league. Josh Allen is the Super Bowl, is the MVP favorite now, right? I mean, like that's over. He's been that for a couple weeks. I think he's sealed that. He's way ahead of Lamar Jackson now.
I thought that would be one of your subject matters. No, no, no. We did that last week. No, but Josh Allen, I think, has ended the MVP conversation with the win in Detroit the way that he's played the last two weeks. Despite them being one and one in those weeks, which is why I'm pushing back on them being Super Bowl favorites. You know, what do you like better than the Bills right now? Well, I mean, when it comes down to it's not that I don't like them, but you can't sit here and say the Eagles can't beat the Bills in a Super Bowl game. The Lions with a second crack at it, if they're potentially, God forbid, football, God forbid, healthier on defense, that the Kansas City Chiefs still have a two game lead on the Bills. They're going to have to go into Arrowhead and do to Kansas City in a one and done game in Mahomes' house, what they just did to the Lions in Jared Goff's house. You know, they are giving up an insane amount of points on the other side. With the way Allen's playing, I don't really think it matters. Let's just say the Eagles actually get a punter on the field every now and then.
You know, and then they go out there with Hertz and A.J. Brown, the passing game's gone as a problem, don't you know? Oh, well, hold that thought.
So I won't get too deep into it then. We'll pin it. But I'll call this an overreaction for the moment that they're the favorites, that you can't sit here and say, guess what, the Ravens? You know, I know what they did yesterday was against a Giants team that's got all sorts of trying to lose the aerial problems from drones over New Jersey and airplanes suggesting everyone get fired over the head, over to the stadium. But there's too many teams that have the ability to beat the Bills on any given Sunday. And when you even mentioned the Rams, the team that actually just did it. The Rams are going to have to play Green Bay in the playoffs.
No, the Bills are a Super Bowl favorite. Oh, not the. Correct. I'm pushing back on the article choice. You always have issue with the word the. Well, I mean, this is all about me parsing out our... I was making a high state joke. I understand what you were saying.
I planted a flag on that. Thank you. A long time ago. This is week three for me to start posting. Oh, I understand.
Week three of 52. I got it. Wow.
Oh, and then that regard, by the way, congratulations to Kyle McCord getting top 10 Heisman. How about that? Yeah.
I want to know who's the person out there that voted him second? Let's do it. Let's do it. You know, it's probably...
Reveal yourself. Does the scrap metal pipe guy in Syracuse have a vote? That guy is richer than everybody else up there in Syracuse? Does he have a Heisman vote? I don't know. I don't know.
One second and seven thirds. Could it have been Ryan Day maybe? Isn't I'm sorry? He owes him a big apology.
No, he doesn't. Shout out to Kyle McCord. Kyle McCord is in a better spot right now. Shout out to Kyle McCord. Top 10 Heisman. Couldn't do that at Ohio State.
Well, he's going to get drafted. What else you got? Okay. You mentioned the Eagles. I want to talk about the Eagles. They looked really good. They did?
On Sunday. Passing game fixed. Hey, Chip Brown, how interesting how he got all those targets.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, my friend. The Eagles will only go as far as Jalen Hurts takes them. Well, I mean, can you say that about any team? With their cornerback?
No, not particularly. I think it's more perfect for this team because they've been so reliant on Saquon all year long, but it was the passing game that won against Pittsburgh on Sunday that led them to that victory. Hurts was awesome.
What do you have? 290 yards. He was darn near perfect in the first half. I think you look at the way they reached the super bowl and almost won the super bowl a few years ago. It was because of him.
He could have been hit an MVP case that year. I think Hertz is Hertz goes, this team goes, I I'm I'm I won't call this an overreaction because it's any, it's a quarterback driven league. Again, just take a look at it.
The fact that Saquon had only 60 some odd yards, didn't get in the end zone against the Steelers and what Josh Allen's done over the last two weeks, I am now part and parcel of the general sense that I'm gathering that this MVP race is over and, and cause it is a quarterback driven award as well. So I'll buy it. Sure. I mean, if Jalen hurts turns it over, if somehow, you know, you put seven, eight in the box and he can't run it right.
And um, and then he has a bad day in terms of accuracy or whatever. Sure. I also like what Josh Allen just did in Detroit and you think, what's the path for Philly to go to the super bowl. It's Jalen hurts, Superman going into Detroit, having a Josh Allen type day that he just had this just answer the fact that Josh Allen did what he did in Detroit might save the Eagles a trip to Detroit at some point over the next three weeks, the Eagles are going to Washington next, the lions also, you know, have a Minnesota at home to end the season. The lines might even win their division pal. So there's that, um, because Josh Allen just wrecked their buffet on Sunday, the lions are now potentially by the end of this evening in a three-way tie atop the conference. Now they've already beaten Minnesota. So that would kick Minnesota out. And then it would come down to conference record, common opponents, you know, I mean, all the tie break.
Exactly. And you know, Philadelphia, uh, going down to Tampa and losing there about that Tampa's beaten both the lions and the Eagles, and if they didn't have a mid season kind of slip up, they'd be in the running potentially for the top seat. So yeah, I mean, you know, writ large, the Eagles, um, you know, and I'm going to mention this on, on the flagship show today. So, um, I'll give a little bit of a preview right here on the, on the overreaction pod. You know, you, you must know families that, uh, on occasion have to really have recriminations with one another and maybe shouting matches with one another, or have to communicate with one another. And what sounds like a very negative tone in order to finally, once you get through all of that, come together as a closer knit family and you look at that family and go, why can't you just say you love each other to begin with?
Because you clearly do, right? That's the Philadelphia Eagles. That's the Philadelphia Eagles.
And so whatever works to salute, they want a big game at home against the stout opponent, a stout opponent and, um, defensively, it might be the answer that the Eagles will only go far as, you know, Jalen Carter and the defense takes them, but this is a quarterback driven league. So I'll call this a proper reaction as a business owner. You're always going that extra mile to pursue your passions. I don't think that that's an overreaction either. I mean, how many times did Toriko say it in their right to bring it up so good on Sunday night football, Toriko and Chris Collins brought up multiple times that the losses that the Packers have suffered two to the 12 win lions, one to the 12 win Eagles and one to the 12 win Vikings. That's assuming they went on Monday. These are the teams that have beaten the Minnesota Vikings, right? Beaten the Packers, pardon me. That Philadelphia beat green Bay on opening night. The lions have swept them and the green Bay Packers, um, lost to Minnesota at home and green Bay does have the rest of the way home for new Orleans at Minnesota and home for Chicago. And so there are 10 wind team right now. That is the most tested 10 wind team that's out there because they're four losses have come against the, as of the end of Monday night, we're expecting three 12 wind teams in the NFC, right?
So I appreciated that comment. And I do believe they are right to say that green Bay has a puncher's chance more than that against them. If they see them again and Philadelphia is the only fly in that ointment. You know, I mean, would it surprise you if one of the teams that I just mentioned, if the Vikings do somehow win this division, that the lions would go into Philadelphia and beat them. Would that surprise you if green Bay does that?
No. If Minnesota does that, would that surprise you just cause it's Sam Darnold and his first playoff action like that, man, he looks so good. So I, I will not, I know that this removes the Eagles from the equation and the Rams and the Rams or the bucks.
Yep. Cause why wouldn't Baker want to be able to plan his flag and, and take care of an NFC North team. Well, let's just say Detroit does win the division. That means green Bay and there it is right there. So Minnesota five green Bay six, right? Minnesota would have to come to so far to take on the Rams, by the way, the Rams. Save their season with a Thursday and it went against the Vikings. Don't forget going into that game. And if this is the playoff matchup that it does app actually happen, we will be, you will be hearing that in the conversations media wise, leading up to it, their season was on the line.
Don't forget the trade deadline was around the corner. They weren't talking about if they lost that game, Cooper cup would be sad, right? Right. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, you put all that together and, and, and it's entirely possible that the Rams win that game, right?
Or not. And then you've got the pack and the bucks. That would be a heck of a game, dude. This NFC playoff is going to be wild. I know Washington didn't look great on Sunday, but they're still, they still have nine wins with winnable games, you know, to finish the year. I think we can safely say like, but that altogether though, it wouldn't be out of the realm to say the NFC championship game would be part three. And that was my point.
Between any of those teams. Agreed. I don't think that's an overreaction with all due respect to the exception of the first one, but two for three, two for three bad meatloaf once say that we said it ain't bad. It's too. Yeah. Meatloaf. That guy loves fantasy football. Rest in peace.
Uh, rich, not an overreaction. That's proper. Man.
Okay. Dallas just keeps winning. Cooper rush, baby.
Look at you. Mike McCarthy will be the Cowboys head coach in 20, 25. He is, um, in the offing pal. We thought this dude was getting fired a month ago, six weeks ago, hey, what a great spot for Bella check.
He can go there. Nope. They're playing their asses off for him. Cooper rush had three touchdowns. Chris might've won somebody a playoff matchup, Chris on Sunday, Chris, they're playing their ass off under McCarthy.
You got to give it up. They are. They really are. He just it's just like a Parsons. Like, I mean, they're not communicating.
They don't speak obviously, but like Michael bars was everywhere. Obviously you'd want your, you'd, you know, you'd want your head coach to be, you'd think he'd talk to the best defensive player, you know, you'd think, right. I mean, if he is the modern day, Lawrence Taylor, just quickly telling a story that bill Belicheck told him the NFL 100 all time team show with Lawrence Taylor, sitting at the desk with me, Bella check, Chris Collins worth. And I believe if I'm not mistaken, Ray Lewis was already out there on the set.
That is cool. And Bella check told the story about how Lawrence Taylor was always late to meetings and he told Parcells, Hey, you know, I just got to tell you, Lawrence was late to today's meeting and Parcells. His response was, why did you start the meeting without him? But you want your head coach to be plugged in to what makes your best defensive player tick. Yep. Um, I, I hear you, I get it, but I mean, in this all in season, it was so dreadful. I mean, Rico Dowdle has, has come on strong. He had 150 yards rushing Carolina is no slouch.
This is, you know, we've been saying that they are nobody's home. They're the best three win team and they threw, they threw Bryce young back into Bryce young 1.0. Yeah.
He turned 2.0 back into the earth. Like they, they didn't, the Cowboys didn't get the update on their phone now with Bryce young. Nope. So you've got to give it up. Now the question is, does that save his job? It's not one of those where he's got years left on his contract. And so Jerry doesn't want to pay the dead money and he's going to go and keep them.
You have to extend it. You got to give him a new contract, which means he is going to be there. Like you're not going to fire him in the middle of the contract. You are going to make this decision and, and is that fine with your locker room?
Is that fine with your, and it seems like it has to be, they're playing their asses off for him. I feel like he has a good rapport with Dak. Look, Dak's been out. Trevon Diggs was out.
So I think that kind of buys him a little bit longer leash. The guys who are out right now that they're winning games and had they actually not botched that punt against Cincinnati, we'd be having a much more, much different conversation about the seven and seven Cowboys get a, get a legit number two receiver to go with CD in the draft. We wouldn't be talking about how if the Eagles beat the commanders and get them potentially one game closer to the Cowboys, who've got a very tough game at home against the Buccaneers, you know, cause the Cowboys have already beaten the commanders. We'd be talking about Dallas having a path to the, to the playoffs right now.
They would be that story book ending that we're referring to. And that's not on McCarthy that they, the, the, the player that they elevated from IR for the first time in two months was just over-aggressive and wanted to make a special teams play. So I don't think that that is a, an overreaction.
I think he's going to get like a three-year deal after this year. And we're going to see my, Oh my God. And it's going to be lit on that day on this show because the phone lines will be lit on the flagship show.

All right, Chris, I'll be honest with you. I mean, I don't know if this pod is better when I agree with you, or it's just like that you're off your game or, or I am, I don't know what it is, but let's just see if we can make some halftime adjustments here. I think you're not going to like this one. Okay. Great. So the bucks steamrolled Harbon company at SoFi on Sunday, you're saying the charges are out. Chargers are going to charge a rich and they're going to miss the playoffs. Okay. Paul, I didn't have any charges are going to charge.
Well, here's the issue, Chris, you know, I, I know you want to sit here and say, charges are going to charge her, Justin Herbert's just less than Jim's super power. Eventually we'll find the, what was up with that defense yesterday, man? Well, I mean, they got, they got Mayfield and the Evans. It really was a shocking, I was pretty stunned watching that game was shocking. I did. Was not expecting that at all.
Nope. Um, Gerald McCoy was the only one on game day morning. He lone wolfed the bucks and we just thought he was just being a Homer and for a while it looked like he was going to, um, he was going to lose us, uh, a peg against the rest of us. Um, but no, the, uh, the chargers, I know you want to say that they're just going to fall apart. Like always. And Jim's super power still can't overcome the kryptonite. That is the lightning bolt. It's going to take a little while for Jim to hold on right here. The issue is the three, the three teams that, that are trying to track them down are two games behind the chargers.
Okay. The chargers are eight and six, the three teams that are sniffing it, Colts, dolphins, Bengals issue for the Bengals. They already lost the chargers tough, tough finish, but they lost the chargers. They've got to win out and they need to have the chargers stop right there at the end. You have the chargers to lose out, right? Because if they, the best of the Bengals can have are nine wins. If the chargers have a ninth when they're eliminated, it's, it's over. Um, the dolphins, I don't know, man. They really needed that on Sunday and it just, it just, it, it's just not there.
It's just not there for them. I that extra gear Tyree kill has been one of the most disappointing first old first round fantasy draft choice in quite some time. Yeah. Would you say? I mean, obviously McCaffrey standing, but he has also been hurt, I guess, apparently, you know, what happened in the, that first week where the cops threw him down to the ground. Yeah. I mean, it's not just that. I mean, to, uh, you know, made some mistakes, uh, waddle went down, the run game was being stopped.
Yep. Um, and now they've got a major problem in Miami's final three games. They're going to have to basically win out that the chargers never did play Miami at home on a, on a, on a Monday night. Can I see the dolphin schedule for the rest of the way? If you don't mind me saying right here, cause Miami does have a home game against San Francisco. Then they're at Cleveland. That game's going to be flexed out right now. That's a Sunday night game. I would imagine.
So we'll hear about that probably tomorrow. And then they're at the New York jets, uh, the charger schedule. If you want to just pop that one up, they've got Denver at home. Then they're at new England. They're at Vegas. Come on now.
Come on now. And yeah, I just, I just don't think that they're not going to lose, even if they lose to Denver. Now you might sit here and say the charges are, are winding up as the seven seed and they're going to get one and done because they're going to have to wind up to going to Buffalo. Good luck there.
That does not train whistles and everything like that sound, uh, exciting if you're a charger fan. Yeah, I'm, I'm going to push back on that. All right. All right. I'm going to push back. A little concerning, you know, three losses out of the last four. That's all I'm saying. Okay. That's all I'm saying.

Um, well, since I did on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in an NFC version of we talk in playoffs or what I said that the three teams that would be making the playoffs and everyone else would be, or what the three teams where the Rams winning the West. Yep. Let's check that one. Looks pretty good.
Right? I did say that the, um, uh, bucks would make it. Yep.
And I, so that looks really good. We're not checking that because I said the bucks would make it as the wild card, right? Seventh seed, because the commanders would lose significantly enough that the bucks would catch him and that the Falcons, because they were coming off the buy, you know, coming off a couple of losses that they would win enough to win the division because they'd already swept the bucks. And then I came back after that Thanksgiving week, after Atlanta got spanked by the chargers at home and said, screw that bucks are winning the division. The commanders are making the playoffs and sure enough, I think that's what they are right now.
Right. And then you take a look at the rest of everything else, Seattle now potentially having a diminished Gino Smith or a fully go Sam Howell. Doesn't engender too much excitement in my mind, Arizona, to me with a game at Carolina, a game at the Rams and home against San Francisco. That's the team that would basically have to push the pedal to the metal and win their division over the Rams. So that Saturday game against the Rams will be potentially significant there because that division may come down to Los Angeles and Arizona. If you're just assuming that Seattle's remaining games at Baltimore, pardon me, say I was raining games home from Minnesota at Chicago and at the Rams with a diminished Gino Smith and potentially Sam Howell, I will say that that's not an overreaction. I think you're seeing the seven that are going to make it. And we're just wondering on what the seating is going to be right there. Everything might be locked too, unless, you know, unless we, although Atlanta winning on Monday night, just one behind the bucks, right? All they got to do is catch the box. I will peg to obviously I would peg the bucks losing the division and the Rams losing their division as the only ways that would flip it. I think the commanders are in yeah.
Having nine wins because the teams that we just mentioned in order to make it would have to win their divisions, which means the commanders are safe, right? What else? Richard mentioned the Seahawks. He mentioned Gino Smith. Hmm. I don't, I don't like what I'm seeing Seahawks are going to have a different starting quarterback next year. I don't know about that.
Who would it be? Sam Darnold that that's kind of where I was pegging or they draft somebody and say, we're going to have somebody kind of wing it, but I think they should be all in on Sam Darnold. I'm unfamiliar with, I don't think this is Geno's walk season. They have an out after this year.
They can't get out. I'm I'm I think you're, you're on to something potentially capped out with him. I don't know. Listen, I mean, kudos right now to DK Metcalf from not going, you know, like full AJ Brown and in press conferences. Yeah. He has absolutely disappeared from this passing game for the last month or so disappeared from the Seahawks passing game. The chunk plays down a field where he would just beast mode, somebody 40 yards down the field.
I mean, I think he did it against new England and that was it. I was like two months ago. I don't know what's going on.
And um, could this be a Daniel Jones spot? That would be a tough sell on the Pacific Northwest pal. That'd be a real tough sell. Still young mobile. You're onto something that this is a conversation, but to be so declarative about it, I'll say this is an overreaction. This is an off season conversation. I think you're, I think you're front-loading it. Sure.
I think you're front-loading it for sure right now, but the way it's kind of been finishing up. Okay. All right. Last one, before we get to our week five review, uh, we talked about this last week and I wanted to circle back cause I had a better idea.
Last week I said, Hey look, uh, if Texas wants to win the Natty, they're going to go arch throughout the playoffs. Okay. Quinn Ewers should enter the transfer portal, not declare for the draft, enter the portal and go play for Belichick at UNC. Think about it. He's not going to be a first round quarterback right now.
Okay. He still has some eligibility left. Bill suddenly goes to UNC. What does he need? He needs a quarterback. He needs a quarterback that knows how to play big games, big situations. Quinn Ewers wants to be the number one pick in the draft next year's quarterback class. What do we know about it?
We know nothing right now. Belichick could get him number one pick in the draft. UNC makes the tournament, the playoff next year, Bill, Oh, I love this idea.
Yeah. Well, is he like Ronnie Cycley? The like, he's just going to keep on like get his fifth, sixth year and keep going. And then one more. He's just going to play one more. He's gonna buy one year. He's also got to think about a draft. He's got to think about his pro career. Not everyone needs to be a first round draft choice, which he could make $3 million. He could make tons of money next year at UNC could start the clock, go into the national football league and show that he can actually do it, but what being a second, third round pick.
Yeah. Why not? Or be a top five after you just took the playoff bro, ask Brock Brock Purdy, how it's looking for him right now when he's half the fan base hates him and the other half wants to give him 60 million.
Well, guess what? About the fan base. Doesn't matter to him. As long as the fan base is Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch and Jed York in the market says what it is. He's one year. He's one year closer because he wasn't a first round draft choice. He was, he's one year closer to that pot of gold.
And you might not get drafted by some crap ass team that's at the top of the draft. And you now start your clock towards making your gajillions because you're going to be Bill's guy. You don't want to learn under bill and Josh McDaniels.
What do you mean learning? I think he's got enough. Wait a minute.
A lot of questions. Your whole idea though is that we, and we had, um, we had Sark on our show and he's not just going to pitch quick when you were as a way and just start arch. I mean, what if the kid wins the national championship? What if the kid makes the national championship game even loses it? Come on now. He's got stuff on tape right now for his pro career.
I would, I would not count. I mean, by the way, like your, like the cut of your jib here, like the moxie that you're saying of this love that you're recruiting for bill win for everybody. Is it? How's it a win for him? Like I said, he's now going to be picking the track. How old is he?
Look, look, look right now at Michael Pennix, Michael Pennix made the national championship game and he's drafted by a team that basically is red shirting him right now. And he's damn near 25. So you gotta get, you gotta get going.
You're like Mona Lisa Vito. Your, your time clock is, uh, is your, your, your time, your clock is ticking. Nobody's talking about old bone. This is just talking about bonics, making the playoffs, being a first round pick. So he's one year away from being a first round pick because he needs to go learn under bill. I mean, I don't know why you're making that seem like a bad thing. I, I, I, it's a bad thing cause he's now years at like, so you're going to make your 3 million now, but you're a year further away from potentially or 60 million per. If you find the right spot and the right coach and the right opportunity in the NFL, you're just assuming he's not that kid yet. Maybe Purdy wasn't either.
And all of a sudden, you know, fate, the fates were on his side. I wouldn't, I wouldn't do that if I were him, you know, but go heels. I get it. Okay. Chapel bill. Are you going to start rooting for them when they're not rooting for Syracuse? Here's the deal.
You know, we're both in the ACC, but you know, like how everyone became bucks fans when Brady went to Tampa, I'll root for them. Let's talk Omaha stakes a little bit here. Check our work. From 10 weeks prior. This has been a fun way to end the show last couple of weeks.
So now we're looking back at week five and then we're done week 15. What was the- This one was so bad. This one was so bad. You go with the bad first, huh? Yeah. Bad first, I guess.
I don't know. This is just how it shook out. I said the Bills' first few games were all a mirage and they're not making the playoffs. All right. That's pretty bad.
All right. Be careful. I'm on yet another Buffalo Bills social media reel.
I know, right? So it means I'm on it too, but hey man, dude, how does clinching the division with five weeks to go sound to you in terms of layoffs? They're his favorite to win the Super Bowl right now. Week five, you're like, yeah, mirage, ain't happening. And then snap cut to 10 weeks later, they're already clinched.
What happened? What were they coming off of? Arizona, that home victory after Arizona took a big time lead, remember they came back on it. And then they went to Miami, destroyed Miami and Tua's season for quite a bit. They abused Jacksonville on a Monday night, abused them and then wound up coming into after that week five, they lost it at Baltimore and at Houston. So you said that just as their Monday night visit to get right, New York Jets was right around the corner.
So good job. Okay, great. Oh, by the way. They didn't lose all the way till they went on a nice little win streak.
They didn't lose until the Rams. Yeah. So there you go. Okay, good job.
I'm on it. What else? This one, this one, let's do the good. This one wasn't bad.
This one was a good, I said all three rookie quarterbacks are going to make the playoffs and two for three. I know. Way off on Caleb, way off on Caleb, but I, you know what? Not Caleb's fault. Obviously his coach got fired. Poor coaching. Yeah. That's what we're playing.
I was about to see Caleb in London when you said that there were three and two and about to go forward to about to go forward and then they haven't won since unbelievable and they're not going to win tonight. Okay. Everybody.
