Today's guests, NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger, Vikings wide receiver Jalen Naylor, plus your phone calls, latest news and more.

And now sitting in for Rich, it's Andrew Siciliano. Plus a phone call from London from the man whose name adorns the show. As we get ready for yet another game in London this week, the Bears and the Jaguars and the Jaguars are not yet there. They are delayed getting there because of the horrible storm in Florida.

Let's open with that. If you could hear the sound of our voices and you are in Florida or anywhere affected by Hurricane Milton, we hope you are safe. Your family is safe and that you all things considered are okay. It is corny sometimes to say thoughts and prayers.

I don't use that phrase anymore. Just know that we all send our best. We're all thinking about you and I really wasn't watching Dodgers Padres. Last night I was on the couch watching storm coverage and we're thinking about you and hopefully everyone is okay. Through all of that we do a sports show today and it's a show for which I'm happy to be here. Thank you for having me. As always, hi, my name is Andrew. I talk about football or as I say in my TikTok profile, I talk about football. See what we did there?

Hi, Chris Brockman. That was so corny. One of the dumbest things I've ever heard you say. Really? I thought it was really cool. And that's saying a lot. It wasn't my idea when I changed my profile.

Someone else did it for me, talked, I said. I'm like, I think that's, I like that. I mean, I dig it. Wow. You just think it's corny that I'm on TikTok.

I did actually. You're a grown man. I am a grown man and I'm on TikTok. I'm great. What's happening, man? Can't believe we're beginning the show. I thought some of those baseball games were going to go differently last night, but hey, that's why they play the game.

Yep. After that game, the Guardians, I took a long walk. I didn't see what happened to the Mets game. I hear Frankie hit a homer, but you know, I just took a long walk up and down the beach.

Didn't see Del Tufo on his Harley this time on the beach. But I think I was 0 for 4 predicting the games last night are actually what I wanted to have happen. Sorry, TJ.

Okay. Oh, you're one of the Mets to lose. I want a fifth game. I get that. You know, you want the more drama. And I'm a big Bryce Harper guy.

What does that mean? I'm a big fan. I like him.

Okay. You like the beard, the headband. I like that. And similar to LeBron, I like that he's someone we've known about since they were a kid and they've lived up to expectations. I really like that.

Front of SI is an 18-year-old kid out of Vegas. Yeah. Totally get that.

I love that, actually. The idea that, yeah, I hadn't really thought about it in those terms, like the young prodigy. Hey, Spencer Rattler starting this week, a quarterback for the Saints. It's not exactly the same thing, but there was a kid who was put on a pedestal in high school. In high school. Right. And now he is here. Jason, how are you, man? Hey, did you say everybody as a Harley?

Real quick. Hi, everybody. This is a sports show. Brian Baldinger joins us shortly. I promise. Jalen Naylor of the upstart and the undefeated Minnesota Vikings will be here as well.

All he does is catch touchdowns these days. No, I was on the strand. I was, phone call and, you know, me waving my hands and somewhat intense as I often do. And I, in Hermosa two days ago and Del Tufo rolls up on his electric bike.

Ah, got it. And he was like, hi, hi. I go like 100 miles a day. Like, you know, he made it sound like that. He had just like done a round trip to San Juan Capistrano in like 10 minutes on the strand. He was very excited.

He was very excited. So I got past your four times already on this phone call. I didn't want to interrupt like four times. A, how unaware am I? B, how did I miss you?

Like, are you serious? And why didn't you interrupt me anyway? He is not here. I'm sure he's taking a private flight and putting it on an IG and going and going somewhere. Bless his heart. Or if not, he is on IG right now with the top down, making that face as he's driving in the.

Yeah. TJ, congratulations to Grimace and all the other McDonald's mascots man for the big victory yesterday. Let me tell you something. Yesterday might go down as one of the greatest days of my life for winning a divisional series.

It was just a lot of happy for, you know, I, I filmed an episode of a podcast. I'm driving to the flag football game. Eight-year-old got boys that I help coach. I'm on the four or five heading north.

I'm right on the four or five, right by Getty. Okay. And Lindor comes up the bat and the counts one and one. And I'm literally, and I promise you, I'm not lying.

This is true. I'm sitting in my car at 11 and one. Cause that's how I was feeling. And I was like, he's hitting the grand slam. Of course he is. Everybody know him.

He's hitting a grand slam. And then he, and if you were driving on either side of me at the four or five yesterday, about three 40, you saw my car kind of weave. That's because I was losing my mind. And then Andrew, the flag football team, the boys went out, won our first game of the season. And the pride I felt watching these little fellows win.

It was as great as I felt watching a big party mazel. And you're eight year old flag football team, the Hawkeyes really. Yeah, man. Now are they like the Hawkeyes and they're offensively challenged? Although not, not so much this year. Or are you guys running up the score? Like I'm talking, sorry, bad college football. Her head coaches went to Iowa.

So I think that's kind of how we ended up with that name. We've seen this before from Frankie Lindor in the 2017 major league baseball playoffs. He had a grand slam off the Yankees against the Yankees off the foul pole, high and deep and gone in right field. And I watching in my West LA home at the time was jumping up and down on my bed.

Like what's his name in Hoosiers in the institution? Yeah, then the stopper shooter him. I actually kind of sort of hit my head. Well, actually I was pounding. I loft in that house kind of like over, you know, like high ceilings in the master and like a little I've been there. Yeah, you've been there.

You've been in my bedroom, but I was pounding on the bottom there of the loft. So we've seen Frankie do that before. I am happy for him. The guardians did get Andre C. Menace, a platinum glove second baseman out of that deal. Ahmed Rosario, whatever. But yeah, I think he's losing him, by the way. But he meant is no Rosario Rosario.

I mean, I met Rosario is an amazing athlete that looks as if when he is given a glove to play the field, it's the first time he's ever seen such a contraption. Like, what is this thing? Like, I don't. I've never seen what is this made of leather? Is it like, what is this velvet? What is this thing?

How do I use it? Like, I'm uncertain of its usage, but either way. So the Mets win, they knock out the fighting fills and they now move on to California as, as the call went. Do you want to play the call here? Let's play. Oh, I thought you had the call. I'm sorry.

Hoskins. Sorry. I need the call. Pump your brakes. I thought you had the call. My apologies.

Okay. So it's the Padres or the Dodgers coming up next. The Dodgers won. They just shot last night at Petco up. I mean, it went from, we're not talking to Ken Rosenthal because you had the goal to claim that we go a little over the top with our obnoxious celebrations to that. We're just going to be really quiet because we got our butt kicked.

Yep. And then Mookie did it again. Second straight lead off home run.

It could have been a third straight if Profar didn't rob the one in game one, but yeah, awesome. What a night for the Dodgers. Now we're coming back here for a game five, the Yankees after a Giancarlo Stanton home run, you know, in the eighth inning, the Royals looked as if they had a little rally going there with Patrick Mahomes in the building in Kansas City.

The Yankees get a win. They are now up two games to one. They can close it out this evening. That game is 8 p.m. Eastern time on the TBS.

And then, and then you get the Guardians who are facing elimination. And they're in Detroit. The Guardians of Cleveland have gone two consecutive baseball games in the postseason without scoring a run.

That is not good. And they continually had situations yesterday in which there were runners in scoring position, much like the Phil's couldn't get those runs home. The guards couldn't get them home either. I hate the, let's go down the, I hate the sports cliche hole.

I hate the winter go home. Well, in the Guardians case, they're going home regardless, right? Cause this game's in Detroit. So it's after today's game, they are getting on an airplane and taking the very short flight from Detroit to Cleveland.

Matter of fact, it'll take more time to drive to the airport in Romulus, Michigan and board the plane than it would actually fly in the air over the water to get back home. But you're going home either way. So it should be win and go home, not win or go home. I'm just thinking positively go win the game. If they win the game today, they are winning the series. I don't care if school comes back.

Market death. They win today. They win today.

They are not losing at home. Just write that down on Saturday. Okay.

Nothing says break the fast more than the Guardians knocking out the former team of Hank Greenberg in a game five on Yom Kippur. Nothing, nothing says it more. Okay. And that's going to happen on Saturday. You just got to win today. It's win and go home.

Okay. Not win or go home. You're going home either way.

May as well do it with a win. How was your afternoon, Andrew? I watched baseball.

I paced around my house and then I just left my house and wandered the streets of Southern California aimlessly because that's what I do. Oh, you gotta be on a radio show. Sure. Yeah. Call me.

I'll do it. Okay. What are you doing? I'm just wandering.

I'm just wandering the streets. Okay. That was baseball. That's great.

Yeah. Great baseball. We're going to do it again tonight. And we got football tonight. Pretty big game tonight. We got a big game tonight. It's the NFC West in the spotlight this evening. Are you ready for the kickoff, the kickoff of week six? The way, I don't know if anyone has tracked this over the years as someone who used to travel all the time for Thursday night football.

I know it. The Seahawks usually get a TNF game week five this year. It's week six.

Okay. So it's week six for their TNF this year at home, the Seahawks and the 49ers three and two, the Hawks did open three and oh, they've now lost two in a row against the two and three San Francisco 49ers. The talking head shows this morning as we're prepping for this show. What are the headlines? Do they get a pass?

Pass from what? They're injured. Like everyone's hurt, including Christian McCaffrey at two and three. They're still very much in this division, right? They win this today. Let's pull up the standings. Do you want to bet that if they win this today, they're in first in the NFC West? Yeah, I think you're right about that. That is correct because they'd be three and three and the Seahawks would be three and three and then they'd have the head to head.

Of course. So the sky is not falling for the San Francisco 49ers. They have won before in prime time on TNF in Seattle. Matter of fact, Brock Purdy with the broken ribs years ago as a rookie when he got thrown out there. He has done this before. I don't know if he's going to do it again today. The Seahawks have to get back to running the football.

Remember that? Let's get Kenneth Walker the ball. Geno.

I love me some Geno. Doesn't get enough run. He can't really be throwing the ball 45 times a game, although he's good at it.

I bet he throws some dimes, laser beams. Okay. He does not get enough love.

I agree with you. Geno's been great. I was a little hard. I wasn't hard on Geno a couple of years ago, but I said I don't know that he should have won the Comeback Player of the Year award because I don't know for what he was coming back. The bench? He's coming back from the bench. Coming back from mediocrity, right? Coming back from, unfortunately, that incident with the Jets or coming back from all of America getting angry because Eli Manning was benched for him for a game. Like, what was he coming back from?

Coming back from being a backup, right? But it wasn't about Geno. I congratulate him for his effort and his rebirth. It was about the naming and the timing of the award.

That's a totally different thing. But just watch Geno play football. He is fun to watch. Did you see what JSN did last week?

He's balling. Anyone see what JSN did last week? Jackson, Smith, and Jigba. Anybody? Anybody? Anybody?

Okay. There was, he was running downfield, okay? He was not a fly. He had the corner with him. Safety was running with him as well, right?

Coverage. Double coverage, in essence, down the field. I don't remember if it was a scramble or a screen or a run, whatever it was. On the same sideline, the same side of the field, 20 yards behind him, Seahawks ball carriers coming down the sideline and everyone scrambling to tackle. But he had the corner and safety running with him downfield because he was still selling it, basically looking up for the ball. I love that. The ball was in the hands of a teammate running behind him, 20 yards downfield, and he was pulling two would-be tacklers away. Nice.

It was a thing of beauty. Ryan Grubb, the Seahawks offensive coordinator, formerly at the University of Washington last year with Michael Pennix and Jaylen Polk and Roma Dunze and the 2-0 lineup. Lineman now starting in the NFL from either side of that line. He's now calling plays. He's fun to watch. Mike McDonald's defense, fun to watch. I like to see Onks at home tonight, friends. I don't know what the line is. What is it?

I kind of do too. I will tell you what the line is. That is as loud a building, outdoor building, as there is in the NFL.

Looks like 49ers three and a half. It is one of my favorite venues in North American sports. It is that cool and loud the way it's constructed. It's very steep.

Very steep. You go straight up the stands there. It's awesome.

Great downtown restaurant scene. Yeah, you're right. I've only ever been to a preseason game there, and we sat kind of high, couldn't hear the person next to me. We were trying to have a conversation, couldn't hear a word they were saying, and that was a preseason game. And it's not like a certain NFC championship game venue, say in 2018, where they were clearly recirculating noisemaker sounds, allegedly, through the building, where you couldn't hear the people next to you.

It's real outdoor noise, and it is fantastic. That's a good one. Okay, real quick, because Brian Boldinger is right around the corner. We're going to ask him what he thinks of the Jets changing play callers, but let's give you the news real quick, and let's give you Jeff Ulbrich, who did tell you what we told you yesterday was going to happen. All right, regarding the staff, after a lot of time to think about it and did not make this decision easily by any means, I'm going to make Todd Downing the play caller for the New York Jets going forward. And this is more a byproduct of a different take on things.

I'm not saying it's a better or worse take on things by any means, but just a different take on things, a fresh approach. So, ultimately, Todd will have the full say on the game plan and ultimately the plays that are called within the game. From the defensive perspective, I will maintain the title of defense coordinator, and I will maintain the play calling duties. Todd Downing went on to say that Aaron Rodgers was all aboard, and that he supported it, and he understood it, and he thanked Aaron Rodgers for his, in essence, professionalism through all of this. Rodgers maintains he has no say in the matter, and he can't believe that people think that he has all this power behind the scenes. And to find it interesting that somebody always suggests, someone who always suggests that there are people behind the scenes that have the real power that you don't know about says he himself has no real power behind the scenes.

Nothing is what it seems. There are always other people pulling the strings. And when everyone thinks it's him pulling the strings, he says there's nothing to see.

I don't think he had much say in this matter, to be honest with you. I don't. I don't think there's some grand conspiracy here.

I don't. Because everyone says, well, wait a minute. Nathaniel Hackett was told five minutes before Robert Saleh got fired that he was losing his job. That must mean Rodgers heard the news and ran down the hall and got Robert Saleh fired. Okay, let's operate with that theory for a second. If that's what you believe, then why is Nathaniel Hackett still not calling plays? You would think if Rodgers went, no, you can't do that.

Well, they're still doing that. It doesn't make any sense. What does make sense is that Brian Baldinger, the world's most interesting former offensive lineman and America's guest, is set to join us coming up next. Will the former Titans and Raiders play caller make a difference?

Does it make a difference? We'll ask Baldi coming up. LinkedIn Jobs has the tools to help find the right professionals for your team faster and for free. It's not just a job board, this LinkedIn. No, I'm going to sing it. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, old Richie.

Happy birthday to you and a whole lot more. It is Joe Willy, roll tide and go jet space. Joe, this is the greatest thing of all time.

Thank you for doing this. How are you doing? I just, I'm a fan. I've known you for a long time and all of a sudden you've lived a long time and I hope you live a whole lot longer too.

Oh my God, Joe. You don't have no idea what this means to me right now to get a call from you on my birthday. I mean, thank you so much.

I can't, I don't even know how to say it. As one of your fans, you've got millions of fans out there these days, man. So keep up the good work.

I love listening to you. And I appreciate that, you know, cause you know, I was born the year you won the Superbowl Joe. That's the year I was born. That was a good year.

You see that? That was a very good year. It was a good year and a day in the life.

It was a good year and a day in the life for sure. But you know, I'd love to be able to not have to say that. Right. I'd love to be able to talk about some, some other championship other than that, Joe, you know what I'm saying? Yeah.

Well, that may come about. So once again, man, I don't want to take your time up here much. I know you're talking about some important things, but I love you. Thanks, Joe.

And I look forward to seeing you around campus. Back on the Rich Eisen Show, everybody. The Rich Eisen Show radio network. Rich will be phoning in from London and next hour here on the show. Hi, my name is Andrew. This is the Rich Eisen Show desk. Good sturdy piece of furniture. It is furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry. Grainger has the right product for you.

Call or click Grainger.com or just stop by. So again, if you're just joining us today, the news is, which we kind of told you was going to happen yesterday. There is a new play caller for the New York Jets. His name is Todd Downing.

He has done this before. He was the play caller for the Raiders back with Jack Del Rio. When they moved on from Bill Musgrave, when Derek Carr was a young quarterback in Oakland, he was the play caller for a couple of seasons as well in Tennessee.

He took over. He was the quarterback coach after Arthur Smith went to Atlanta to be head coach of the Falcons. So he was a play caller there for Ryan Tannehill under Mike Vrabel. He's been an assistant in a lot of places, Minnesota native.

He's been here with the Jets for a couple of years and he now is taking over. It is fascinating to me that this game is in prime time. This isn't a game in which you're giving Jeff Ulbricht and Todd Downing and Aaron Rodgers a one o'clock Eastern audience to 20% of America. I mean, it's the Bills who would probably get a pretty big audience. I don't know how that would lay out if you threw it in there with the CBS schedule, but this game could be overshadowed in many markets by Washington and Baltimore. That's the big CBS game this week. That's the Nansen-Romo game this week. Whatever Aaron Rodgers and the Jets and a new head coach do, it's going to be the lead story in all likelihood come Sunday night, come Monday morning and on all the screaming head shows during the week. But this is in prime time. This is bucket Aikman.

This is Lisa asking good questions post game. This is, hey Troy, what do you think of this mess? I mean, Troy can't say anything on Monday night.

Go back and look at the Chiefs and the Saints this past Monday night without it becoming a story. So what do you think of this mess? Hey Troy, how was that meeting with you and Joe and Lisa and that entire crew with Aaron when you had the production meeting late in the week on Saturday, usually for the Monday games? How'd that go? Yeah. What was it like with Jeff Ulbricht?

Did you talk to Nathaniel Hackett? Who'd you talk to on the field before the game was Woody there? It takes on a different life. Now in the grand scheme of things, it's just one game. All right, Jets have to win.

They're two and three. It's one game. It also takes away from the what's going on with the Bills offense. Josh Allen is nine to 30.

They clearly miss Khalil Shakir. There is also an issue of how did you get back in the game so quickly when it looked as if you were kind of sort of knocked out? Now, I don't know that for certain, but we all saw Josh Allen hit the field hard. It didn't look good. Just the visual on TV.

You went, oof, he's out. We're always told in this business, especially as the broadcaster in the booth calling the game for whatever platform. Don't speculate. You don't know. You don't know. You're not down there on the field.

There is nothing more infuriating than the Twitter doctors, some of whom used to work for teams and now try to make a name for themselves on Twitter going, I don't know what that is. He's concussed in it. Or I don't know what that is. That is an ACL sprain with possible MCL damage.

So you have to check the PCL as well. They're going to do this. You don't know. You're not like really, really like you're not examining the patients. Yeah, Drew, because Twitter brings all the experts. I mean, I don't care if you've been a doctor for another team like it. You don't know. You can't be sitting there in your basement and watch your big screen and diagnose.

Now, I do grant that you know a heck of a lot, you being any of these people, a heck of a lot more than the average football fan crushing beers and getting angry on their fantasy team. I get it, but you're not actually there examining the patient. So getting back to Josh Allen, I hope he's okay.

And I hope there are no ill effects or long-term effects. It didn't, it looked uncomfortable. How about that? And he had his worst game kind of sort of ever nine for 30. Now that could have been the story this week.

How does Sean McDermott, I don't want to say fix the offense because it had been hummed a couple of weeks ago. We say, Josh is the MVP. He still should be in that conversation. And it's, Oh, we don't need a number one.

You silly, silly Staphon Diggs revisionist history folk. We don't need a number one. We have Khalil Shakir. We have a couple of tight ends. We have James Cook. Now is a big threat.

We throw the ball around the yard. Everyone's happy. Everything is awesome.

Right? But now all of a sudden he goes nine for 30 in Houston. They lose and everything ain't awesome. Everything ain't awesome. The Texans survive without Nico Collins.

You could survive without Khalil Shakir. Yes. I just did sing the song from the Lego movie. Great movie. Loved it. Fantastic movie. It's about Legos, but it's also about government control of your life and socialism as well. And big business.

It's one of those movies that hits on so many different levels and it's brilliant and it's funny and it's Will Arnett. And where is Baldy? Yeah.

Right. Like I'm not getting mad at anyone behind the scenes. Like Baldy, you know, some people have read receipts on their phone and they don't necessarily know it. Baldy hasn't like looked at my texts.

I'm like, Hey dude, like let's go. You're supposed to be here. We're going to get you Brian Baldinger at one point. Baldy's breaking down. He might be breaking down film. He might be, he might be in Bora Bora right now because he had an extra 12 hours between games. Like that's what Baldy does.

He is, he is the world's most interesting former offensive lineman. And I've told this story countless times. I like to take kind of different adventure vacations and go different places and try different things in the off season. There isn't a place on earth I can throw out to or beyond earth and say, Hey Baldy, what if I go there? Where he hasn't already been there and has restaurant recommendations. Like if I say Baldy, I'm thinking of in February after the Superbowl, just going to the dark side of the moon for about a week.

Baldy would be like, Oh yeah, I've been there. There's a bar. It's a bar right by that big crater on the north side of the dark side.

There's a spot like there's a guy named Vito. He's awesome. Used to tour Springsteen. He runs a bar there. Like it's amazing.

You got to go. Hey TJ, doesn't Baldy hang out in Florida in the Keys a lot? He does.

He goes snorkeling. I'm surprised he wasn't on Bad Monkey this year. Can you tell me what Bad Monkey is? So it's Vince Vaughn. Natalie Martinez.

Yeah, Natalie Martinez. It's a, it's kind of like a crime thing. Rob Delaney is kind of the bad guy. Is that a movie? I saw the trailer.

It's a 10 episodes on Apple and it's like set in the Florida Keys and Vince Vaughn's doing Vince Vaughn things. And I was just waiting for Baldy to show up. Baldy will legitimately do film breakdowns while snorkeling in the Keys. He's the greatest. And he'll get up and he'll go, he'll take the mask off. I'll catch a couple of breaths. He's like, that's why Orlando Brown Jr. was the best money the Bengals ever spent.

And then he'll put the mask back on and go diving. Yeah. It's amazing.

It's amazing. We're waiting for Baldy. All right. The story of the Jaguars and Rich is gonna, he's gonna chime in from London a little bit later because of the hurricane. And your dad's okay by the way? My dad is okay. My dad lives south of Tampa in Manatee County and he's okay so far. Good.

That is fantastic. The Jaguars are set to leave today to get to London. And I don't know if it's an issue with their plane coming in, which would be understandable, but they say that they are delayed leaving. They're going to get out today. And their press conference that had been scheduled for Friday in London has been canceled. Not just moving it back a few hours.

They're just not going to do it. They say the game is still on. They're going to be there in time for Sunday and they're going to be okay. But it is something to consider here with the Jaguars. They are arriving quite late. The Bears have been there all week and we have this conversation.

We'll have it again with Rich every year for the London game. What is the best way to go? Is it treated like a normal week? Although, you know, slightly abnormal, maybe leave Thursday, get there Friday, play the game. Or is it spend the whole time there, the entire week there, do the big bend, the parliament, the entire thing, the Churchill war rooms, whatever.

All the fun, all the play 60 events, all the tomfoolery and hijinks and pageantry, and then play a game because your body is well adjusted. What is the best way? I think that's what I would do.

That's what I would do personally as well. But the answer is there is no answer. Right. It's whatever happens to work.

Yeah. And it works for both teams. We've seen it both ways. Teams have success doing it, but don't the Ravens usually pop in like as late as possible and then play those games. So everyone's got their own method. The big thing in recent years isn't how do you get there and when do you get there?

It's what do you do when you come home? Because NFL teams for years after the London game or now the Germany game were soon to be the Spain game or the Brazil game. The Brazil was different because it was on a Friday have been told you get a buy afterwards, right? You come home, you get a buy, but now the teams are given an option.

Do you want the buy? Because if you play London early in the season, some teams want to save their buy for later, especially East coast teams where it's just coming home. It's almost like coming home from Seattle. Like the Giants going to Seattle is worse travel than the Giants going to London. Think about that.

Okay. We're going to break looking for Baldy and then a little bit later, Jalen Naylor of the Minnesota Vikings. It's Andrew Siciliato sitting in for Rich Hyzen.

You played in the world series of poker with Matt Damon to prep for the role of worm and rounders. I, we played in the world series, Matt and I not to prep we'd after the shoot, the, the, the, the, we were done with the film. No kidding.

Um, it was part of the run-up promoting the film. We both played along well, uh, and the coaching we'd gotten from Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth and a lot of these other guys, uh, stood us in good stead. And I, I got some good cards and, and won a few hands and, um, everything.

We both had very like dramatic exits. I, I actually played a Johnny Chan tip. I played pocket nines when I was on the button and ended up with kind of, I bet it as though it was an ace King or something like that. I got a middle flop.

I got a nine and a 10, and then I got a second 10. So I had, I had a pretty much unreadable full house and I got beat by four tens by a guy named by a guy named sir. And are saying he quadded tens against against an unreadable full house. And when I called and I had more chips than him. When I flipped the boat, the whole table exploded. They were like, he's going to take sir. And I sing out of the tournament and he flipped quad tens. Unbelievable.

Yup. It was, it was incredible. I was going to say, do you remember the hand that you went out with details of it too. But, but he said to me later, he goes, he goes on 99 out of a hundred times.

He goes, you would have, he could say, I had no idea that you had that hand. I'm blown away. As we're talking about it, we're talking about it. And I'm having the saving private Ryan moment where everything goes silent again.

And, you know, I was trying to play it off, but I just, you know, gut shot when they talk about being gut shot, I was gut shot definition. And we're back Brian, Baldinger right around the corner. I promise. Can I tell you about game time? Do you need to take it to a game? Like I hear TJ's team is coming out here to play somebody in Southern California, right? We have football, we have baseball, we have, we have many sports.

We have joined, we have many games activities, activities, and there are games in your neighborhood as well. May I recommend game time to find a ticket to your favorite game? You could watch the football, the baseball, you could watch the it's basketball season. LeBron just tweeted. Can you explain why we're flying to Milwaukee for a preseason game and then coming back?

I don't know, but you can go to that game is my point by downloading the game time app has so many cool features in it, like game time picks. And, and you can also like see what the view is from your seat, which is what I want to know. I'm not a tall person. Are the people in front of me, right?

Are there people sitting in front of me? I don't know if it's that detailed, but you get my point. You can see the field, the court, the ice, whatever in the game time app. So download the app, go to your favorite app store, whether it's the iOS one or whether it's the, the one with the green texting, whatever it is, go do it. My texts are blue, son. Go do it.

I got something to explain to you about that. By the way, TJ download the game time app and then put in the promo code rich, R I C H rich. And you get $20 off your first purchase. Rich download the game time app, rich R I C H $20 off your first purchase. Visit game time.co for more information and the restrictions you get it game time.co, but put in the promo code rich. And if you're that first time buyer from game time, 20 bucks off. What time is it?

Game time. I've never noticed your height. I don't know why you bring that up.

Okay. He is. And we're lucky to have him because he's a busy man. The world's most interesting former offensive lineman. He called the Bengals game last week with the Ravens. He is calling the Eagles and the Browns this week. He is coming to us with lovely wood paneling. I'm thinking of doing the same in my office now, Brian Baldinger at home from I'm assuming Florida, Philly.

Where in the world are you today? I'm right at NFL films here. I just waited to Joe Kletko downstairs just now. I mean, all the favorites are walking through the doors here.

Look at that. Brian Baldinger in Mount Laurel, New Jersey basically sets up an office there at NFL films. Do you wander into the vault on random nights and just look at cans of film? Honestly, honest to God, Andrew, I feel this place is, it's hallowed. This is just a special place. I mean, I could see a picture of Jim Brown sitting in the mud or Jack Lambert with his missing teeth in Pittsburgh.

Like there's just remnants of the history of this game everywhere. But I do wander in here at night and just turn the film projector on and just see what's going on. I try to watch every single game in the first two days each week, Monday and Tuesday, to kind of digest what happened.

We got the week six schedule behind me right here. But honestly, I never turned the projector on, Andrew, and not learned something about somebody or some team or what somebody's doing or not doing. I never stopped learning in this business. It's amazing.

It's why we love you. And that building is amazing. I have not called it an office.

I've been there once or twice, but I was there a couple of years ago and actually did go into the vault. And look, I'm not taking down canisters of 60-year-old film and setting up a projector, but Baldy, just to read the stickers and to see like, oh, this is from 1942 and this was from the 64 championship game. And this is just labeled sideline footage, week three, 1957. You know what I'm saying?

Just random things like that. And you're like, oh my God, like you could live there for years and years and never watch every canister of film. It is just a fascinating building. It is.

It is. The history of the game, 105 years of it is right here. In fact, Andrew, it's interesting. Steve Sable's office has been untouched since he passed and they've just sort of memorialized it. But when you go in there, I've done film, some shows in there and how to do some things in his office over the years. And he was one of these guys before there was this computer in front of us where everything could be logged and recorded. He wrote everything down on index cards, quotes that coaches told him. Bill Walsh wrote him a note, whatever it was, he recorded everything by hand and it's all logged like on these desk of his.

And you could just wander in there and I literally pick up a quote from Chuck Knoll in 1972, let's say, you know, I mean, it's just it's such a it's been so well recorded, whether it's film, video, whether it's handwritten notes, whatever, it's all here. Let's get to the Jets, Baldy. We'll get to our game because I'll be there in Philadelphia. Eagles and Browns coming up as well in a second. That game is on Sunday, obviously. On Monday, however, it's the Jets. It's the Bills.

It's first on the line of the AFC East. Jeff Olbrich is the new head coach. We know that. Todd Downing, however, is the new play caller. We've seen McColl plays in Tennessee.

We've seen McColl plays years ago with Jack Del Rio and Derek Carr with the Raiders in Oakland. You've looked at the Jets tape. You've done your Baldy's breakdowns on your Twitter, Baldy NFL, for those who don't follow. What should Todd Downing do with the Jets offense Monday night? I'm glad you asked me, Andrew. I was up to the Jets yesterday and I told this to people up there.

I was a player's day officer, wasn't players, but there's other personnel people there. They're the last in the league in rushing. I think Breece Hall is a great player. He's had 35 runs or 65 runs this year so far, Andrew. 31 have gone for two yards or less. Their offensive line in run game is broken. I don't care who's calling the plays.

I don't care who the coach is. It has to get fixed. If I was Jeff Albrecht, I would have that team out on the practice field today, manicured lawns like you've never seen before, and I would put the pads on like it's the second day of training camp, and I would, I would get after it. I would get after the, I would fix the run game.

That's the first thing I would do. I feel like if they get that fixed, they have a chance of being a little bit balanced. The quarterback might the quarterback might play a little bit better. Maybe some of the problems in the passing game wouldn't be so exposed the way they have. Aaron has dropped back 108 times the last two weeks. He's been sacked eight times, hit 25 times. He's not going to survive. No quarterback is going to survive. So I would, I would work extensively on identifying three, four, five runs that you can run against any front, any team, anywhere.

London at MetLife Stadium on Monday night, whatever it is. I would get that going, and that would be my priority right now with this team. Talking to Brian Baldinger, would Devontae Adams-Baldy make a bit of difference? Not if they keep running the ball like this.

I don't believe so. Like I, I believe, like they, they, they went overboard trying to get the ball to Garrett Wilson last week at the expense of not finding open receivers that were open. And so he gets 22 targets, he gets a hundred yards, gets touchdown.

All right. He's open at the end of the game against Stephon Gilmore. They can't get the ball to him. Ball ends up out of bounds. It's, you know, it's a bad throw. But could he, look, they haven't played together, Aaron and Devontae, since 2021.

That's a long time in his business. Like to think you're just going to rekindle that chemistry that they had, which was real. I mean, you needed to play to end the game, the ball went to Devontae. You needed a fourth down throw to get the ball against the Bears and 15 below zero weather to win the division. You did that.

Whatever you needed, they could do. But to think that you can just rekindle that on the fly right now, and maybe take reps away from somebody else. If they get the running game fixed, then I think, okay, Devontae makes sense. Like, and they could work on that timing to rekindle that.

But if they don't get this running game fixed, I don't care who's playing wide receiver right now. All right. That game's Monday night. Sunday afternoon, Brian Baldinger, yours truly, and I will be calling the Browns, yours truly, and I. That made no sense.

That was redundant. You and me. We will be there in Philadelphia for the Eagles and the Browns. Eagles coming off their bye two and two. All the talk yesterday about the bye week conversations between Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts. Are they friends?

Do they like each other on the same page? Why was Devin White released? I mean, that's the drama in Philly, but they're off a buy and they're getting healthy with both wide outs expected back and Lane Johnson on the right side of the line as well. The Browns on the other side of things are reeling.

They are one and four. There are little flashes of last year's team, but not enough of them. And the offense can't get anything going yet to have a 300 yard game collectively. This season, they're the only team in the NFL that has yet to have a 300 yard game. You're doing the game on national radio for compass.

I'm doing the game from the Browns booth on the Browns radio network. When you look at the Browns offense, Baldy, I'll ask you the same thing we just did with the jets. How do you make that offense work? Well, I mean, this offense is built around running the football and you know, obviously Nick isn't ready to go yet. They obviously, Wyatt Teller, losing Wyatt Teller, Ethan Pochik, like that, those are really good players. I thought over the last four years, especially with Bill Callahan as the offensive line coach, I thought Patonio, Pochik and Teller were as good as anybody in this business at just, you know, they had rotating tackles, you know, but interiorly, whoever was running the ball, Kareem Hunt, Nick, whoever, like they cut defenses up and chop defenses up as well as anybody. And that's just not happening right now. And so that's, so a big part of what made that offense successful, even when Flacco was there last year, was that interior.

That's not there. And look, you know, you look at the game tape from last week. I mean, you can only help your quarterback out so much. They're running crosshairs in the middle of the field against Washington last week. I mean, whether they're a man or zone, that's your read. That's where your eyes go.

And Washington completely blew the coverage and Jerry Judy's wide open and he's waving at his quarterback, who isn't looking down the field and he's reading the rush and he sacks himself and he gets hit hard. I don't know what he's looking at right now. I'm not, you know, people say, well, he's broken. He stinks.

Okay. I just want to know from a quarterback standpoint, what he's reading, what he's being told to do, what he's coached to do, what he's practiced to do, because it's just the passing game is, is non-existent right now. And you know, you look at the stats, the stats tell you that it is that Cleveland right now is 30th in offense and they're 32nd in passing average.

So if you've got to fix something, it helps that maybe in Joko's back in healthy and he's a big part of what success they had last year, like just basic routes right now, get the ball in the hands of these guys, whether it's stick routes or stop routes or hitch routes, like just get completions and put it in the hands of these guys to go do something right now. And they're not running the ball in first and second down. They are consistently behind the sticks. Their thirds aren't third and twos. They're third and eight and third and nine. Yet there have been, I'll go back to the Raider game, Baldy, opening drive of that game, 15 plays, nine and a half minutes off the clock.

It was a thing of beauty. We have seen it operate and we saw it operate in Jacksonville as well. When they got back to basics, opened in jumbo sets and ran the ball and Deshaun opened well in that as well. You said in years past, they've been running the football.

It's so much empty. It's shotgun on first down. It's, Hey, I get it.

This is what operated in Houston. Well, you want him to see the field, but you know, the plays on which it's blocked well, he's not necessarily seen it and getting the ball out. The plays on which, you know, there are guys, it just, nothing has seemed to click everything.

In other words, guys open protection. He's, he's at those plays where all three things happen. They're just not enough of them. Well, I mean, look, he's averaging less than five yards in attempt right now, Andrew, like that's historically bad. That's well, all that tells you is you're not getting explosive plays down the field. The place they got to Amari last year, they're not there. And the one that they did get the 82 yarder in Vegas was called back. Suspect hold suspect, but even at the end of that game, they got a chance to win the game. Like you're, you're down 20 to 16. You can't take a sack there on the final play.

You just can't, you got to do something. I mean, that's part of why he was signed to this lucrative contract at the same time. I get Christian Wilkins.

Sorry to cut you off. I give on that fourth and three in Vegas, Christian Wilkins beat a rookie and Zach center at right guard. And he gets paid a hundred million dollars. And right off the snap, he won. I give him credit. He blew that play up, you know?

He did. But I mean, Adam Butler blew plays up and guys that I'm sure you had to go back, Andrew, when you're calling that action, like who some of these guys are, who snowed in and some of these guys that were making plays for him. I mean, obviously there was no Max Crosby that game, but I mean, you had to go look and see that they, they played pretty possessed, but you know, even on that last drive though, you got it. I mean, there's a real good, even after the, the, the touchdown that's called back that, as you mentioned, was very questionable.

You know, you still have a chance to win that game. And so last week got away from them. You know, you, you saw a quarterback on Washington that they were hoping Deshaun would play like the one thing I'm interested in this week though, Andrew is Jim Schwartz is coming back to Philly and he won the super bowl here and he takes a lot of pride in his defense.

I don't think this is just me talking. I haven't talked to Jim this week. I don't think he thinks that Jalen Hurts is a great quarterback and reads defense as well. I'm interested to see how he attacks Jalen Hurts in this game. You know, whether he thinks Jalen's going to read the rush, bail too quickly.

Obviously the receivers are back. I think AJ and Devante, like that makes a big difference. And he's, he likes to get the ball to his favorite target, AJ down the field, like he did in this game in Brazil against Green Bay that basically won the game for him. So I'm, I'm interested to see, and he's been turning it over a lot. So I'm interested to see how Jim Schwartz attacks him because Jim does have a nice ego, healthy ego.

You know, his defense got lit up pretty good by Jaden last week in that run game. Also very well dressed. Yeah. So this is a good return for Jim Schwartz. Coming back to the link.

Brian Baldinger, everybody. All right. We, we got to do a radio break Baldy coming up in 30 seconds and then have like a minute left on the TV side, on the Roku side after that.

So stick around for one second. I'm glad we finally did this. And yes, there are so many Philadelphia ties here from a Browns perspective, coaching staff perspective, Schwartz O-line obviously is from Philadelphia.

This is a huge homecoming for this, for him. He and I talked last week about hoping for a guardians Phil's world series. We now only have one side of that possible as the Phillies got knocked out. Hey, Baldy stay there. Jalen Naylor coming up in 20 minutes as well from the Vikings. And now we're still here on the TV side.

Baldy have like 90 seconds left. You saw Joe Burrow. You saw Lamar last week. I, what Lamar did was amazing. One of the best plays I've ever seen ever dropped the ball, gets rid of Hendrickson and then throws that touchdown falling out of bounds. But real quick Burrow and the Bengals.

I know you're close to Lou. Joe Burrow is off to the best start ever for a quarterback whose team is one in four. Can the defense even meet him halfway? You know, believe it or not, Andrew, even though they gave up 41 points, Lamar was all world in the game. They actually took outside of that run by Derek Henry in the fourth quarter. They actually took him out of the game pretty good. They got some reinforcements back, Miles Murphy, BJ Hill. They got some guys up front. Hendrickson had a good game. They actually, they play without Mike Hilton who's their slot corner. They actually didn't play terrible defense. I don't know how long Joe Burrow can keep putting up 35 points and lose.

They're averaging 35 in the last three games. Burrow's unbelievable. How you didn't put the ball in his hands after the fumble recovery by Jermaine Pratt is, was a head scratcher when I was announcing the game. Jamar Chase couldn't be covered and they couldn't tackle him.

Like I would have just thrown a hitch to Jamar and just see what he did at the end of that game just to get Evan McPherson closer for maybe a game winning kick. It didn't happen. Brian Baldinger, you are the best. I'm glad we connected. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday, my friend. Yeah, my friend. You got it, Andrew.

Look forward to it as well. There's a funeral in Philadelphia right now. There's a funeral going on. It's not a happy place, Andrew. Hopefully the cheers up a little bit.

We'll talk to Jalen and I'll see you on Sunday. You met Lala Kent on Vanderpump Rules. Now Lala and her friends share everything on Give Them Lala. Baby S is giving me money making moves.

Oh yeah. So I'm going to have one kid who's like, I want to just live in a box and do like artistic dancing and paint. Ocean's going to be like, it doesn't matter if I'm broke, Mom.
