A shower curtain in a VO booth. And here we are all these years later at Fanatics Fest. This is unbelievable. Thank you for having us here, everybody. Everybody, obviously. Great to see you guys. Must be football fans here, correct? Yes.

That's called a total piece of chum in the water. The Eagles already. You've got an Eagle fan. I see Joe Burrow over there.

I see a Burrow fan right there. Cowboys. Cowboys and the 88 Club.

Who else? All right, JEZS, Jets, Jets, Jets. There's a Kevin Mowi jersey.

Tons of jerseys here for the Fanatics Fest. Let's get this thing started. Let's do Overreaction Monday, first ever live version. That's a round of applause line as well.

Let's go. That was terrible. That was crap.

That was garbage. This place sucks. Overreaction Mondays Monday. For those who may be new to this podcast, here's how it works. Chris says something it's absolutely bat guano crazy about the NFL. And I either let you know if I think that's an overreaction or not. Feel free to react in any way that you wish for Overreaction Monday. Chris Brockman, you have the floor.

Rich, I wanted to start off with a bang, so my first topic is this. I want to talk New York football in front of the New York crowd. We've got Giants fans here. We've got Jets fans here.

Daniel Jones is going to have a better 2024 season than Aaron Rodgers. Wow. What a way to start us off. That is a 100% total overreaction.

And fitting that somebody who roots for the New England Patriots would try and throw this bomb right in the middle of Fanatics Fest. Right at the top. Right off the top. Right at the top. Why do you think that?

Why would you? Well, here's what I think. Bryant Deball is an insanely better offensive coach than anyone on the Jets.

Okay? Daniel Jones is a very versatile quarterback. He had the fastest run in the NFL two years ago. He's got a brand new weapon in Malik Nabors. Devin Singletary, a revamped offensive line.

Right. I love the Giants this year to be a sneaky good team. Aaron Rodgers, do you remember what Aaron Rodgers looks like playing football? It's been so long since I've seen him play football. I don't know if he's still got it.

Let me jump in here. Garrett Wilson has played a heck of a lot more football than Malik Nabors. On top of it, Breece Hall is exactly the dynamic running back that the Jets have always thought would be, and that the Giants just let walk to Philadelphia for some reason in Saquon Barkley. The offensive line that the Jets had last year does not resemble a thing of what they've actually put together on behalf of Aaron Rodgers, who will come back with a huge chip on his shoulder.

And on top of it, he's the offensive coordinator of the New York Jets, as you know. So, put it all together. I know you wanted to create a stir. I really wanted to get going early.

You're not expressed to start things off. Mission accomplished. That's an overreaction.

What's next? Who do you think plays more games, Rodgers or Daniel Jones this year? Rodgers. Plays more games? Yes. Okay. Yes, just. Wow. Yeah.

Last year, let's just put it this way, he'll play more games than snaps that he had last year. All right, that's fair. That's fair. All right, here we go.

What else you got? Second topic, Rich. Again, stirring it up a little bit. We are in NFC East territory. Yes. The NFC East is only getting one playoff team.

Wow. I will say that's an overreaction, and I think both the Eagles and the Cowboys make it again. And if I had to say, there would be one team making it from the NFC South, and there will be two teams making it from both the North and the West.

That's how it's going to be split. Just like last year. What about the Cowboys gives you faith that they're going to make the playoffs? Because they are a team that is chock full of pro bowlers and all pro players.

Their problem is they didn't supplement it whatsoever. And as we're sitting here, we're sitting here, what is it, the Saturday of preseason week three, OK? Essentially, week two, really.

So, C.D. Lamb is not yet signed. That is going to get done. Dak may not be signed, whatever that means. The Cowboys will still be a 10-win team. And maybe the Eagles win the division and not the Cowboys.

I believe the Eagles are a better football team than the Dallas Cowboys. I'm sorry to the 88 Clubber in the back, and I appreciate the Eagle fan that's barking in my direction as approval. Thank you, sir. I love it. Thank you. Let's go, you know, climb a telephone pole together later on.

But that's an overreaction. I still believe the Cowboys are a playoff team, and I think the Eagles 100 percent are going to be better, if not division winners this year. And that's the way I'll go on that front. Why do you think there's going to be three teams from the north? I do. I do. Because you're so nuts about the Chicago Bears. I'm so nuts about Caleb Williams, and we're going to talk about him later. You love the Bears so much. It's not hard knocks.

It's like knocked up. Good Lord, you love the Chicago Bears. I do.

Did you see Caleb Williams today? I know. That was big. But overreaction. You're now two for two on overreaction. Two for two. That's what I'm going for. All right.

How about this one? I believe the NFL right now has never been more talented. Top to bottom, there's more fantastic superstar players than we've ever had before. Quarterback depth is as good as it's ever been in NFL history, the talent at that position. Such parity is at an all time high. Nobody in the NFL will win more than 12 games this season.

Wow. So you're saying no team will win more than 12 games. No team will go 13 and 4 or better. The best record in the NFL will be 12 and 5. There will be several 12 and 5, but that will be the top.

That is the ceiling. 12 wins. And I push back on that the quarterback depth is as good as it's ever been. You don't think quarterback plays have been better than this season?

No. Look at the rookies that are in the league. Look at the 2020 draft class and how they've developed. Look at the 2021 draft class. They're all on other teams right now.

Trevor Lawrence just got $55 million. Matt Jones is a backup. Justin Fields is a backup. Trey Lance is a backup. Zach Wilson is a backup. Justin Fields is going to start week one.

I will push back and say I wish I had like the stats in front of me here. There will be a 13-win team in the National Football League this year. Who predicted? If I had to predict a 13-win team in the NFL this year, if I had to predict a 13-win team, I will go with the San Francisco 49ers. I heard a Niner fan scream that out. Niner fan, where you at? I would go to the Niners. Yes, sir. I would do that.

I would absolutely do that. And if I had to choose an AFC team to do it, I would choose the Kansas City Chiefs to win 13 games. You just don't want Eric Stonestreet blowing up your phone.

No, no, no. I see a two-time defending champion whose quarterback was disrespected by his own peers by being chose the fourth best player in the NFL in the NFL Network Top 100. And also reacted to somebody bringing a Muppet with his hair on it to training camp in Vegas by saying that'll get handled when it gets handled.

That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And I think the Chiefs could be a 13-win team. Because if you take a look at the AFC West, here's a hot take for you. Here's a hot take for you. In the same way that the Patriots had a chance to three-peat and the AFC East just absolutely fell apart when the Patriots were there. Oh, you think the West is the worst, easiest division? Justin Herbert, as of this conversation, has a foot injury for the Los Angeles Chargers. The walking boot just came off?

Correct, I understand. And the Broncos are starting a rookie. And the Las Vegas Raiders are having a quarterback competition between a walk-on from Purdue who got some run last year in Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew. And the Chiefs and the Chiefs. So if the Chiefs do what they do in their division this year, go 5-1, I'm almost halfway home to 13 wins.

It was like that last year for KC and they only went 11-6. I know. That said, overreaction, you're 3 for 3, what else you got? Oh, I love it. Alright, let's stay hot. Live from the Fanatics Fest. Fanatics Fest, what's up? You guys good? That's a round of applause line, too. We got more people sitting in here, this is awesome. This is great. Keep going, what else you got?

Alright, here we go, how about this one? One, two, three quarterbacks in their first or second season will make the playoffs this year. Three quarterbacks in their first or second season. Caleb, CJ Stroud, Jordan Love. Does Jordan Love count? Jordan Love does not count. Why?

Because he's in his fourth year in the league. I'm talking Anthony Richardson, Will Levis maybe, Drake May. So CJ Stroud is one. Just making sure you guys are away. Drake May. Just making sure you guys are away.

That went over like, this is church and you just had something wet come out of your, you know what? CJ Stroud is one. CJ Stroud one, that's a lock. You like Caleb Williams is another.

I like Caleb Williams. You think the Colts can be good enough? Does Aaron Rodgers count in his second year as a Jet Quarterback? Okay, I'm gonna say Brock Purdy doesn't count either. Brock Purdy doesn't count.

That's a tall order, bro. I mean, you like Washington this year, could Jaden Daniels sneak in there? I don't think they're making the playoffs, I just said two teams from the East are making it. I'll call that an overreaction too.

Really? So you said three are gonna make it. Three, three get in.

I'll take the under on that. Dude, the Ravens are gonna make it. The Chiefs are gonna make it. The Bills or the Dolphins are gonna make it.

Let's use that. The Jets could make it. You've got Joe Burrow coming back. All these Bengals fans who are here, Deshaun Watson could make it. If the Steelers make it, they always win ten games, right? Or nine or ten games.

That's just, yeah, I'll push back. I'll say two make it from the first or their second year in the playoffs. CJ Stroud and who else? If I had a guess, it would be either Caleb or Anthony Richardson.

I think both those guys are gonna be awesome. So I can't agree with anything that you said yet. Alright, maybe the second half. Maybe second half we'll get it going and you'll agree finally. Have we reached halftime? We're at halftime. We're at halftime of our game time conversation here live at Fanatics Fest here in New York City. Go ahead and hit it. Second half, let's kick out. Any Patriots fans in the house? Where are you guys? Anybody? New England?

Rich? Hold on a second. I feel for you guys. I feel for the Patriots fans here, dude. Well, it's going to be a long season. No, no, because... It's going to be a long season.

Because the last few years have shown, they've shown that you're just like the rest of us after all. Yes, but maybe not. Okay. Did you watch the game the other night? You'd like to see, you'd like what you saw to Drake May, huh?

Here's the deal. I've been saying all along that Drake May needs to sit as long as possible. Jacoby Brissette needs to start well into December.

Uh-uh. Drake May should just start week one. Let's go. Rip the Band-Aid off.

Give me number 10 for all 17 weeks. Absolutely not. There's no reason. There's absolutely no reason to do it.

The only reason is, you've got to learn by fire. Try out by fire, throw him out there, get the kid his reps. He's shown the other night he's got the arm strength, he's mobile.

He literally looked like Justin Herbert out there. Let's just throw him out there and see what happens. Let me ask you this question. If the Patriots, if the Patriots have a ton of cap space, which they have, right?

Correct. One thing that Bill Belichick did bequeath to the New England Patriots currently and for the future years is an absolute poop ton of cap space. To the point where they tried to get Calvin Ridley.

Tried. Couldn't get him. Try to get Brandon Iuch. And we're going to pay him more than what either the Steelers have on the table for him right now or the Niners. And by the time that this podcast hits on Monday, maybe he will be a 49er because I do believe, by the way, anybody out there that Brandon Iuch will be a San Francisco 49er and will be in uniform on the first Monday night against the New York Jets. I do believe that will happen.

I don't think I'm overreacting to anything. But if they had the cap space for those guys, why didn't they pay Matthew Judon? Why did they trade him for a third rounder? Because he's 32 years old.

So what? And played four games last year. But if you want to give Drake May a short field, you've got Matthew Judon out there.

They paid all the younger, better players around him. They're not ready to win. The team knows they're not ready to win right now. There is absolutely no reason to spend the first month of the season with Drake May trying to figure things out right off the bat behind an offensive line that might need more time to actually gel and work together. There's no reason to send him out there at all until he is 100 percent ready. The first two guys in the draft that were chosen, Caleb Williams obviously is starting. They've got it completely set up around him to evaluate him with the talent and to protect him with the talent and the defense. Jayden Daniels, same exact thing. Drake May 100 percent does not need to start week one and should not start week one. What are the chances Brandon Iuke was watching the game the other night, saw that 50-yard pass in the air and was like, turn the machines back on. I'll take 32 million.

Let me go to New England. Or he's going to wind up taking just a few million a year or less to stay put where he already knows the offense, where he already knows that he can win a Super Bowl this year and the year after that and the year after that. With a guy in Brock Purdie who he knows is already going to be a terrific quarterback in the National Football League, which I think Drake May can and will be, but not if he gets his ass handed to him in the first month of this season. Why?

There's no reason to do anything like that. Is this just a Jets thing? Are you worried that Drake May is absolutely the truth? It is not a Jets thing.

I am a paid professional. You're so worried that Drake May is him. All opinions that are delivered here at Fanatics Fest or in all future Rich Eisen shows, NFL Network shows, Over Reaction Monday podcasts are all 100% from the gut and 100% accurate because I'm always right. Thank you so much. Thank you for that golf clap, sir. So, am I 5 for 5 on Over Reactions? That was touching.

That was touching. 5 for 5, Rich? Yes.

5 for 5 Over Reactions? Yes, you've got to give me one that I'll agree with. I don't know if you're going to agree with this one now. Any Bills fans in the house? Bills fans in the house. Did Bills Mafia make the trip down to New York?

By the way, just so everyone knows. The only actual New York team in the NFL? Hold on a second.

Hold on a second. One guy who raised his hand is wearing a Yankee shirt, which I appreciate, sir. And an Angels hat?

An Angels hat. Wow. By the way, I don't... That is unbelievable. How's that Bills Angels Venn diagram working out for you, pal? My gosh.

Bam, we're from Orange County. Okay, I got you. Oh, great. Here's the deal.

The Bills are going to miss the playoffs this year. Oh, that's absurd. I don't see it.

Why are they... I don't see it. There's a lot of cheers for that. Josh Allen literally can't do everything himself. His coach honestly is probably a lame duck. And I just don't see it this year.

There's too much talent coming back, okay? Joe Burrow is back healthy. I got to think the Bengals make it.

Aaron Rodgers, as much as it pains me to say it, he's healthy. The Jets probably make the playoffs. I'm sorry. Are they better than Miami?

I don't think so. I'm sorry. The Bills could even still win the division. I do believe the Dolphins, though, are the team to beat in the AFC East this year.

I agree with you. Although we do need to see how the Jets are going to show up, for real. For real.

For real. And I know that's part of the reason why you're saying the Bills could potentially be surpassed. Because the Jets have hit the offensive line issues that were clearly in place last year that caused Rodgers to be hectored the one snap before his achilles snapped on top of. Yeah, exactly. And also Matt Milano going down over the week.

That's not good, man. And who are the receivers outside of Dalton Kincaid? Do you really trust Kaleo Shakur? Do we know if Keon Coleman is going to hit? Like Marvin Harrison or Malik Nabors or Roma Dunsay?

I don't know. This is the Bills' most vulnerable season we've seen coming in since maybe Josh Allen's rookie season when we were wondering when he was going to play. And then we saw what he could do. And then he started making the playoffs. And then they started winning the division.

I know I'm kind of talking my way into delivering you your first non-overreaction. But I still just, I still think he's so special. And James Cook is really good. And Dalton Kincaid is really good. And Keon Coleman can turn out to be very good. But special quarterbacks miss the playoffs now and then. Shakir was a more effective receiver than Staphon Diggs was in the last month and a half.

That's true. So I'll push back and say, I can't sit here in August and look at you and look at everybody here and say, yes, the Bills are missing the playoffs this year. I can't do it. And I also can't look at this man who watches Mike Trout go down every single year and tell him with Trout already out making adorable videos with his son, which is really great. It was great. Then he opened a pack of cards and pulled his own autograph. I love it.

It's great. I can't do that to this man. I feel for you, sir. I can't look at this man with his Angels hat and his old Doug DeSensei throwback lid or whatever that is and tell him you're not making the play. I can't do that. I won't do it. You won't do it. I won't do it. So it's an overreaction.

I can't say the Bills. I really thought I was going to get one. I can't. Okay. Okay. Okay.

The Rich Eisen Show is sponsored by Grainger. Does this sound familiar? You're a maintenance specialist, and you've been squaring off with a leaky radiator at your facility for hours.

You're both drenched in sweat. You've thrown the whole playbook at it, but so far it's got an answer for everything. What you need is a teammate, a pro who's seen it all before, and that's Grainger. With support specialists always ready to chat the product you need plus a million more, just give this ringer a ring.

Call 1-800-GRAINGER, click Grainger.com, or just stop by one of their local branches. Let's talk about sleep number, people. We all know in the NFL there's no margin for error, a single mistake can change the outcome of a game. We all know that. And proven quality sleep, yeah, believe it or not, can boost reaction time, recovery time, and overall performance.

You know that probably in your real life. The same thing goes in the National Football League, which is why sleep number is, in fact, the sleep and wellness partner of the National Football League, partnering since 2018. Eight out of ten players have a sleep number smart bed.

You should too. My sleep number setting is 60. My wife's is 70, just ten numbers apart, but it is the world of difference because being able to adjust your bed's firmness after working out for recovery, that is game changing. So, right now, during sleep number's biggest sale of the year, you can save 50% on the sleep number limited edition smart bed plus special financing for a limited time. Only at a sleep number store, or you can go to sleepnumber.com. Sleep number is the official sleep and wellness partner of the National Football League.

See store for details. And those guys are amazing. Yeah, but this is reality football. Yeah, but I'm talking about depth of the position. We're talking reality football.

Depth of the position. Regardless. It's not a 12-team league. It's a 32-team league that we're talking about right now, and until I see at least two-thirds of the league have viable starting quarterbacks in the NFL, I'm not going to sit here and say this is the deepest we've ever seen quarterback talent, but feel free to keep saying it. Having said all that, I agree. I disagree with you.

All right. This has never happened before in NFL history. It's never happened. It's going to happen this year. A quarterback will throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards, 5,000 total yards of offense. Someone will do that this year.

Someone will do 4,000 and 1,000 honestly. Not together. Yes. In the same season. Together in the same season, and it might be Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams coming out. Let's just put it this way. Caleb Williams.

Did you see his highlights today? I know. Everyone, please watch them later. They, on this day, about an hour before we came on the air here at Fanatics Fest and Javits Center in New York City, first-ever live version of over there.

First-ever live version. I'm tap dancing right now. Because you're thinking about it.

Whether I'm going to agree with you or not. I'm not saying Caleb is going to do it. He could. Lamar Jackson could do it. We saw the Holmes-like stuff in a preseason game today where Caleb Williams in the pocket, did it like a spinorama, then went to his left and against the grain flipped it up in the air about 35, 40 yards down the field and threw a dot to Rome Adunze to set up shop inside the 10-yard line from which he ran it in after doing all sorts of Holmes-like things. We haven't seen that since 2018. I hear you.

I hear you. For Caleb Williams to come out of the box and go 4,000 yards passing, 1,000 yards rushing would turn C.J. Stroud's unicorn rookie season into like hold my beer, you know? Exactly. And I just can't envision a rookie doing that. I just can't envision that happening in the NFL. And I'm wondering who else could do it?

Who else would do 4,000, 1,000? I don't think Anthony Richardson would do that. Lamar Jackson had 3,600 passing and 800 rushing last year.

He was really close. He was MVP? Anyone MVP. Anthony Richardson has that ability.

I'm trying to think who else. Honestly, Patrick Mahomes. He had 600 yards rushing in the season. Mahomes won't run for 1,000. He could throw for four.

That's a tall order, bro. That's why it's never happened before in NFL history. Does anybody in this place think there could be a 4,000?

By the way, I'm not crowdsourcing. Anybody here cheer if you think there could be a 4,000-yard passing, 1,000-yard rushing quarterback this season? There you go, Lamar Jackson. By the way, we've got a packed house. We didn't hear anything. Somebody stood up in his Lamar jersey.

I don't know. I mean, Derrick Henry's going to be on that team now. Don't you think that means even fewer rushing yards for Lamar?

Maybe, or it just opens up more holes to run for Lamar Jackson. How many people would agree with me if I say that's not going to happen this year? Not going to happen? The first ever crowdsourced answer of overreaction Monday. You're about to get shut out entirely here. I'm about to get shut out. This is the last one.

Here's the last one. Well, you've got 15 minutes to go, so you better make it a good one. I do have another super hot take. Great. OK. So stay tuned. I got a super hot take. Oh, man. Oh, here we go.

Rise up. Any Falcons fans here? Falcons fans. There's one guy in the back. Literally one guy in the back is a Falcons fan. All right. Not many ATL fans here today.

All right. You know they just acquired Matthew Judon, the pass rusher. They should have taken eighth overall.

Yes. Timmons is now the sure up the back end. We know the offense is set to really break out. New offensive coordinator, Kirk Cousins. I think Bijan can go nuts.

The Falcons are going to be the one seed in the NFC. Wow. Listen to this crowd.

What do you guys think of that idea? You just heel turned, bro. You honestly agree with me, don't you? You just heel turned on this audience. I thought you were going to go, the Falcons are going to win the NFC. They're obviously going to win. The Falcons can make the NFC championship game. The Falcons can be 12 and 5 and be the one seed. So they'll win 12 games.

If we're dovetailing to a previous overreaction subject. Right. That there will only be a team. Sure. No one will win more than 12 games. I already forgot that overreaction. Wow. The Falcons one seed. Oh, Chris.

There is a pass. I can't sit here and say they're going to be the one seed. Come on, man. The Lions got better. The Niners are just as good. The Eagles are going to be better. The Cowboys aren't going to suck. Are the Eagles going to be better?

The quarterback and head coach don't even like each other. I do believe these last two pieces that you just mentioned. Matthew Judon up front and Simmons in the back to go with Raheem Morris and some really good defensive players.

Jesse Bates is one that leaps to mind. I do believe the Falcons just cemented their status as the team to beat in the NFC South this year. I think that's for sure.

I think so, yeah. I'm a big Baker guy. I'm a big Bucks guy.

Baker Mayfield is your third son. They kept everybody and the Falcons just look really good. Did you hear Pennax did not play today?

They sat him. They did not give him a single on-field rep. They don't want to get him hurt just in case. They said that Raheem Morris said after the game that in the first preseason game and in practice they've shown him enough is what he said.

I also took that to mean, hey anybody, especially you out there, any team that might have a quarterback that just went down or might need a quarterback. Maybe you, Minnesota, you want to have Taylor Heineke, you can get him. Here he is. Let's showcase him.

Let's throw him out there. I think that's what happened with Atlanta today. But Atlanta is not the one seed in the NFC going into this season. I don't think they're really good. Can they be? Absolutely. Can you sit here and be as definitive as you just were? That's why I'm here, I'm here to be definitive and you to tell me I'm an idiot.

You know what I mean? But I cannot agree with that. I just can't. All right. I got two more for you.

Okay. All right, Steelers fans, where are you at? Pittsburgh? Did you guys make the trip? Yeah, Steelers just didn't make the trip. There are no Steelers fans here at Fanatics Fest? Really? We got a few right there. Let's hear you. I mean, you can't just wave.

Yeah, this is an audio format. Please be loud. I actually believe in Russell Wilson. I think Russell Wilson is going to be a top ten quarterback this year. Give me the metric of top ten quarterback. Top ten, what was that again? What's the metric?

What's the metric? Wins. Wins. We know Tomlin wins games, okay? 3,500 yards, 25 touchdowns, single-digit interceptions. Oh, by the way, that's what he did last year in Denver, which got his ass sent home.

Unclear why. I did on our... He has many more weapons now in Pittsburgh. On our flagship show, as you know...

Balanced run attack. On our flagship show, as you know... Go to the playoffs. I gave you my top ten quarterbacks that you'd want with a game on the line, right? I did the power rankings of that.

You did? Russell was not on that list. Your list was questionable.

My list was questionable. You don't think Russell Wilson has got anything left? I do believe Russell has something left, and I do believe that the power of his season being his last chance to be a starter in this league, and also his last chance to kickstart his way back to the Hall of Fame, that is going to be something that can be quantified in what you're saying, all right? If the Steelers end up getting Brandon Iuke, which probably won't happen. It's not going to happen. Does that help Russell Wilson's chances? I'm telling everybody in this room, I'm telling everyone in this room, that even by the time that this show posts on Monday, and this is Saturday, Brandon Iuke will be a San Francisco 49er. I'm telling everyone this is going to happen.

Whatever's going on between them, they're close enough that something is going to get done, and he is not going to go anywhere. That said, I've got to put top ten quarterbacks in the league. You've got to go, let's just list them. You might as well just throw it right here. You've got to go Mahomes. Obviously. Lamar Jackson. Okay. You've got to go Justin Herbert if he's healthy. Come on now. Come on now. You've got to go Justin Herbert if he's healthy.

I don't know about that anymore. He really needs to show me something. Then let's discard him. Let's go Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow, sure. Josh Allen. Josh Allen, sure. That's four.

That's four. Who else? Brock Purdy? You've got to go Dak Prescott. Dak? He's five. Jalen Hurts is six.

Yep. You've got to go Jalen Hurts. Are you putting Rodgers on there?

You've got to put Aaron Rodgers on there. Are you putting Tua on there? Is Tua on there? Is Tua a top ten quarterback, yes or no? Wow.

No love for Tua. They just spit on that thing. Wow. Hey now. CJ Stroud, top ten quarterback. CJ Stroud, absolutely.

No doubt. CJ Stroud. Brock Purdy is on the cusp.

Brock Purdy, top ten quarterback. That's a no. That's a no. I can't sit here and put Russell in that mix.

I just can't. Okay. Jordan Love is in this conversation. Jordan Love, top ten quarterback. Matthew Stafford is in this conversation.

Matthew Stafford, okay. All right. Come on.

Give me one that I can say yes to. Here's the last one, and this is my hottest take. You have no idea, Rich, how much this is going to pain me to say. You have no idea. I'm wearing a Red Sox hat. Yes.

I'm wearing a 2008 Paul Pierce championship throwback jersey. All right. My man right in front. Look at what you've started. This is fantastic.

People are about to throw down. This is the greatest day of my life. I love it. Rich. You put the fans in fanatics, baby. And this really hurts. Okay.

What are you saying? If Patrick Mahomes three-peats this year, he has passed Tom Brady as the GOAT. Of all time. Of all time. Three-peat.

Never been done. Four and six years. I would say this. Knowing that Tom could be strolling around back there. I know. Honestly, Tom, if you're here, I'm sorry. I love you.

Oh, man. Seven rings, Chris. Rich, there are people that say LeBron James is the GOAT.

What's the difference? Seven rings, ten Super Bowls, 20-something years. But he would be on the path, man, and he would also have something in his arsenal that nobody's ever had.

Bam. Three-peats. So he would, if he three-peats, make a great case. First of all, he would have the greatest start of an NFL career ever. He passed Brady in that regard.

Oh, my God. Yeah, absolutely. He would pass Brady in that regard. Oh, that's four Super Bowls in seven years. Correct.

Right. So he would be on his way to running Brady down, which is remarkable that Ed's even uttered when Brady beat him in a Super Bowl to actually separate the two of them much further. For him to be able to make up that ground so quickly and put something in his arsenal.

I'm honestly crying on the inside. To say that he could run Brady down and be considered one day, one day as the GOAT, showing up in a Fanatics Fest of the future with Brady and Brady not be considered the greatest of all time. And Mahomes is, that's in the realm of possibility. But to say right now, right now, that he's the greatest of all time above Tom Brady because he wins three in a row. It's over. I can't agree with that. I say no, and I don't know why you're yelling at me. This guy.

Thank you. Brady's number one. I did not want you to agree with that because I love Tom Brady so much. That pained me to say that. I mean, a three-peat, my God.

I can't agree with that. But I think we're all lucky. Everybody right here lucky that we are here in a football-loving nation at an event like Fanatics Fest, right? On the eve of a season where it is the first time in 20 years that we could see history, and the team's got a great shot to do it.

And it is awesome that we are getting ready to see that. And everybody here feels that their team has a shot to win it this year. Everybody has the opposite right now. I mean, Rich, I don't think my team has a shot at all.

The giant fan is shaking his head right now. No, the Patriots have no shot. All right, you don't have a shot. Come on, Giants.

I believe in you. No. Seriously, the Giants, you never know. Like, seriously.

You never know. Two years ago, at this very moment, nobody thought that they would go into Tennessee and win week one, and the head coach would have the day balls to put them out there and go for it and win it with a two-point conversion at the end. Absolutely.

And spark a coach of the year season that would have Daniel Jones looking like Colin Kaepernick whipping the Vikings at home. Okay? Like, nobody saw that coming. Maybe something similar can happen for you. Maybe something similar can happen for anybody that's out here at Fanatics Fest or listening to our very first edition live of Oval Reaction Monday.
