The NFL draft is underway, with teams making moves to secure top talent. The Pittsburgh Steelers are waiting on Aaron Rodgers' decision, while the New England Patriots are eyeing A.J. Brown in a potential trade. The draft's top prospects, including Ty Simpson, are being closely watched, with teams strategizing to land the best quarterback in the draft.

We made it. It's draft week. I can't wait to see Franco in the airport. Let's go. Oh, Franco Harris in the airport.

And George Washington. And the T-Rex. I think they're all still there. And also the display honoring Fred Rogers, Mr. Rogers.

I love going to Pittsburgh PA. I love it. Let's go. I love that's how you. You peg what Pittsburgh is, that there's a lot of cool things in the airport.

In case you don't know, in the airport, one of the first things you see is the statue of Frank O'Harris mid-catch of the Immaculate Reception. It's literally like grazing, it's not even touching the turf. We got an inch to spare.

Next to George Washington, who, pre-Declaration of Independence, won the Battle of Pittsburgh to save the city. And then they have a T-Rex with Bob Fossil for Scott. And Mr. Rogers. Okay.

We're all up to speed. It's time for Overreaction Monday headed. That was terrible. That was crap. That was garbage.

This place sucks. Overreaction. Mondays. Monday. All right, Chris, it's draft week.

What do you have over there? Dare I say this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. I love the draft so much, and I want to get it right out in the open. We're going to talk to this guy later on on the flagship show on Monday. Um But the Raiders are first up.

Yes. And are we sure they shouldn't just ride with cousins this year, trade down, and take a quarterback in 2027? Are we sure? Yes, we're sure. They shouldn't do that?

Yes, we're sure. Really? We're sure. Aren't they in Noah's Ark situation where they need two of everything?

So shouldn't they just like. They need a hey Jets. Come take your quarterback. They need a quarterback. Give us some assets for reload.

You're referring to Monday's Rich Eisen show to kick off our draft week. We have Fernando Mendoza, our first guest. You might be listening to this show later on in the draft week. Uh, wherever you get your podcasts, if you do, Fernando Mendoz is on Monday's Rich Eisen show. Check that out on our YouTube channel, which you might be already on watching this show.

or whatever however you're taking it in. That said, I proffer to say you will find Fernando Mendoza, whenever you see him, a dream come true type of face of franchise. And I'm not saying that he's six foot five. I'm not saying that. He's a big-armed guy.

If you take a look at all of his measurables, they match up with somebody named Matt Ryan. And Matt Ryan was an MVP in the league. Sure. And had. Probably should have won a Super Bowl.

That is correct. That is correct. And the guy who knows he probably should have won a Super Bowl is the guy who is drafting Fernando Mendoza. Again, this is not. I know what you're getting at.

This is not anti-Mendoza. No, I know what you're getting. No, no, it is. It is technically. It's not anti-Mendoza.

It is what you're getting at is still. coming into this draft the doubt that is Fernando Mendoza really One of those surefire gotta take him first overall type quarterbacks. Is he in the same realm as, say, Cam Newton or Joe Burrow? And my answer to that is. Yes.

Oh, really? Would you take a guess? I don't know. Would you take a guess? I don't know if he's Caleb Williams or Drake May or Jaden Daniels.

Would you take a guess? There are two quarterbacks in the history of the NFL draft.

Well, you just need to come into the draft. As the undefeated national champion Heidman Trophy winning quarterback that he drafted first overall, I get it. Cam Newton. Joe Burrow. And so he has this resume.

Now, Cam coming in. And Burrow coming in. Had one of the greatest offensive seasons any quarterback's had, and Cam running it and throwing it, and Burrow with 60 touchdown passes. And Mendoza's like, well. An outstanding leader on a team.

Of players that were better as a collective than they are individually when you take a look at how many Hoosiers are going to be drafted at the end of the day. in Pittsburgh this coming weekend. Yeah. I get it. But Mendoza is the guy the Raiders have to take.

And at the end of the day, They will be happy with it. Does he start week one? Does he start at all year one? That's why you get Kirk Cousins to give you the latitude where you don't have to do it, earlier than you want. End of the day, this is an overreaction.

You don't know where you're going to be in 2027. in terms of the draft order. End of story. Take him, rip the knob off, move on. Overreaction to start our draft show.

I mean, if they took David Bailey, would anyone complain? I would on the set. I'd be like, what are they doing taking a pass rusher? when the quarterback's sitting right there. And then the Jets would be suddenly like, what?

Huh? End of story. This is happening. All right. Moveon.com.

All right, Rich, it's Monday. The draft is officially kicked off, but the draft actually started, and the draft week actually started on Saturday with the huge trade between the Bengals and Giants. Rich, with Dexter Lawrence now in Cincinnati. The Bengals are going to have a top-five defense this year for the first time in the Burrow era.

Well, they hope so. They sure hope so. The best they've been with Joe Burrow. I looked this up. They were seventh in 2022 in total yards allowance.

They won't pay Trey Hendrickson. They won't pay Trey Hendrickson. They won't pay him. They only pay him for a short term period. And we played seven games last year.

I get it. Now let's go get Dexter Lawrence coming off of one of his worst seasons in his career and flip a 10th overall pick to the Giants and pay him one year, $28 million, spread it out over three years, sold. We're going to get an answer here as to whether Dexter Lawrence is worth it or not. But the bottom line is, I'll call this an overreaction start. They still have a long way to go to be a top five defense.

The Bengals sure hope you're right because what I thought this move indicated to me. Is the indication it's giving to Joe Burrow that we're being really serious about this. That instead of us drafting a kid 10th overall, To put either on the back end of the defense, if it was Caleb Downs, or to put in the middle of the defense if somehow, someway Sonny Styles dropped him. stroke to them, that we're not going to just start with the kid. We're going to go and get a bona fide top of the food chain defensive tackle, albeit coming off of one of his worst seasons with the Giants, and we're going to pay him And we're going to pay him less than what we would have paid Trey Hendrickson.

And we're going to put him in the middle of the defense, and we're going to have an anchor right there. to stop Derrick Henry, to stop. You know, who the Steelers roll downhill at us, and who the Browns roll downhill at us, and who the Patriots, and so on and so forth roll downhill at us. And hey, Joe Burrow, if you are thinking that we are not going to try and be aggressive to make sure you're happy with your defense so your offense can stand up and we stop losing games 38 to 37 when you're healthy enough to throw. for us, because we've protected you.

Then check that box. That's what they did this move for. to tell him Don't have this delusions of wanderlust. I mean, even Schefter, I shouldn't say even Schefter, but Schefter in his piece. on ESPN.com today and on the digital platforms is putting into black and white on the screen the rumor that we keep hearing that Burrow has Wanderlust at other teams, like say one that's right here in Los Angeles, where he hangs out quite a bit.

Who wouldn't want to be the guy after Matthew Stafford and the Sean McVay coached offense out here in Los Angeles?

So, hey, Joe, we're serious here. Let's go and try and win one in the window we have left with you, if that's such a thing. That's what I took this trade to mean. And uh as for the Giants Two guys in the top 10 you want to start building with a young team. That's why you make the move with John Arbon.

Be patient. With your new um Head coach. Oh, we're going to talk about the Giants in seconds.

Okay, so I'll call this an overreaction and move on.

Okay, great. Let's go to the other side. Giants. John Harbaugh, you mentioned he's now the new head coach in New York, pulls off a monster Dexter Lawrence trade. And now they have, like you said, two picks in the top 10.

Yes. The Giants are going to win the NFC East this year. Oh my gosh. I just love your Because let's think about who they're getting. They're getting Jeremiah Love or Carnell Tate or Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs or they're getting two of the top 10 players in this draft.

And you talk to everybody, you read all the articles. This is really a top 10 heavy draft. And they're getting two of these guys. They could also go offensive line at 10 if somehow, some way Mauanoa drops. That's another nugget in the shifter argument.

Yeah, a little injury concerns. He's got a herniated disc that they think could require surgery at some point. It's not a long-term issue, but that's a reason why Mauinoa might drop to the Giants at 10 if that's what they want to do. But you're right. I mean, these are two terrific young players that they're going to get.

On a team that could use the infusion at multiple positions. And they already have a young, exciting team that's seemingly on the rise. I get it, but to win the NFC East? I mean, let's look at the other teams in their division. I understand that.

They're not blowing my socks off. I don't know why they don't. I don't know why. I mean, the Eagles are still, you know, even without apparently A.J. Brown.

Oh, we're going to get to that.

Okay. And. And the Cowboys, you keep slagging on them. They've done everything right. And the Cowboys might get aggressive and cowboy.

Cowboys draft well. I think they're my only concern. You know, they take it. They should be. I'm not worried about the Eagles this year, not worried about Washington.

The offense is nicely set up, and the defense is getting. Way better, yeah. Daxman throwing with George Bush. Way better, and even if they don't make a move, they're 12 and 20. They're one of the six teams now that the Giants became the sixth team to have multiple first-round picks.

But Trevin, did you see my script? I have not. As you know, I never do. You always keep it from me. I'll call this an overreaction as well.

I mean, I think they're going to get better, and I think they have an opportunity, but to definitively say they're NFC East Champs because of a move like this. I'll just call it an overreaction. Are you Need parts fast? O'Reilly Auto Parts has fast. Need them now?

Okay, let's move on. I know where you're, I know I already know what you're going to say about this one, but I want to put it out there because I think I think it's worth having a conversation about it. All right. Jeremy Fowler reports that the Chiefs are thinking about moving up to three, possibly for your guy, Jeremiah Love. I think this is indicating to me.

Yes. Andy Reid is sneaky worried about Mahomes' long-term health and wants to go full-on run attack. Total overreaction. Couldn't be more of an overreaction because I think what you're overlooking. Yeah.

The move that could be made by Brett Veach, the general manager, to move up to, say, three at Arizona. wouldn't be for love. It would be for whoever the Jets don't take defensively. That they would love to add a big time pass rusher and to do such a thing and have five years of contractual control on that kid. is exactly what they're looking for, just as much as anything else.

And yeah, their run game is important and yeah, they want to maybe bolster it. Um and I do love Jeremiah Love, but um A lot of people are in love with R. Ville Reese. And I think the Chiefs may be one of them, and that may be what this pick is for. Not the offensive side of the football, despite how dynamic Jeremiah Love is.

Imagine Jeremiah Love and Kenneth Walker. And that rumor. makes me if I'm a jet fan Very concerned that David Bailey is not the guy you should be taking. If everybody is in love with R Vel Reese and maybe want to trade up for him, Titans may want to hope that he drops to four. The Chiefs might be interested in him at three, and some of the other teams might move up like the Saints.

That's what Todd McShea of the Ringers said they'd move up from eight to three to take R. Vill Reese. That the minute the Jets take David Bailey, The eight minutes, by the way. It's where it's eight minutes this year. Yeah, I don't know if I love that.

Eight minutes are going to be wild. Wild. The phone in Arizona is going to ring, and Monty Osenfort might lead the league going into the draft. The general manager of the Cardinals having more draft. Trade options and three offers in his back pocket, left-hand or right-hand drawer of his desk to pull out in those eight minutes.

The minute that the Jets take David Bailey, which would put a ton of pressure, obviously, on that kid Bailey. Um, uh, Hopefully, as much as he puts the pressure on opposing quarterbacks for the Jets, but put it all together, overreaction because it may not be for Jeremiah Love. Just may be for who the Jets don't take at two. I like that. You're not worried about Mahomes' health, though, right?

Wrong side of 30, double knee, ligament surgery. How did the knee affect Tom Brady after he came back? Tom Brady and Mahomes' different skill sets. What's Mahomes maybe his best quality? Is his creating something from nothing?

The third and long that he scrambles for a first down.

Now you go heavy run, you draft the Kelsey replacement to learn from Travis this year. I got it.

Okay. Not concerned.

Okay. What else? You know what, you mentioned two teams with double first-round picks. We got six now. We got six.

We got Jets, Dolphins, Chiefs, Giants, Cowboys, Browns. Yes, sir. Of these six Half will use them to trade up in the draft on Thursday. Hmm. half of them will use them to trade up.

Okay. We're already thinking Chiefs. Cowboys have been pegged at this spot for weeks. I know. Who else is going to use these picks to know that?

Well, I mean, the rumors are the Saints are moving up to three, the Jets are moving up to seven, the Cowboys could move up. to uh the middle of that um you know First 10, somewhere. I hear you. I think the Dolphins are going to stick and pick. Because their back one is 30th.

Um that's too low. I think what the Chiefs have the 29th overall pick, you know, obviously from the Rams in that trade for Trent McDuffie. That's too low to to to move up with, I would think. Even though they're trying. I don't know.

I'm just talking my way through this answer. Sure. I'll say this is not an overreaction. It is still. you know, too far on this Monday before the Thursday To hear too many rumors otherwise.

So I'll just call that a. You're not off, I mean, you're not crazy. The other ones, I think, you've been a little bit off. But this one, I can't deny it. I don't think this is nuts.

It can absolutely happen. I just don't feel it in my bones that it will. Do you think we're going to get, you know, because last year in Green Bay, you know, Jacksonville moves up with Cleveland for Travis Hunter, and that was really fireworks. Whereas we didn't really even spend any time talking about the number one overall pick quarterback Cam Ward. I know.

Do you think, are you hearing, are you feeling that we're going to get another like, whoa, like fireworks? I just don't think so because. You're the the one reason why one of the things that I think you're on or something with this topic bar. Of the six teams with two first-round picks, half of them. uh will use them to trade up is that The big trades will come using draft capital from this year's draft, not next year.

Next year is so valuable. It's the minds of so many general managers in terms of how deep it is at the quarterback position, how deep it is in general. I think you'll find teams. Um less willing to use next year's draft capital to move up. Then you will see teams with draft capital this year to move up.

So that's why I think this is viable. Um And And I'll just leave it at that. Yeah, we both had the same morning reading material. Adam Schefter's a big article on ESPN.com today talking about teams, guys, front office types he's talking to. The third and fourth round may be the most valuable part of this year's draft.

Maybe. After the top 10. We'll find out. I mean, and then you hear general managers say, or some analysts say, yeah, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh round, good luck finding the right one. Yeah.

That it's not too deep. But Who knows? Yeah, the Schefter read was two cups of coffee. It was good. It was good.

You're not a coffee drinker. I'm not a coffee guy. I was morning routine. Bouncing off the walls. Yes, you look great.

Thank you. You look great. Appreciate it. Rich, here we go. Daniel Jeremiah said that.

Feels like Ty Simpson to the Cardinals is inevitable. I don't know. Maybe. I trust what DJ says and thinks about these subjects. I think you appreciate your confidence.

Of course. For being a Padre fan, I get it. But. They got some quarterback issues. Jacoby Brissette wants to now get paid.

They're not committing to a QB1. Gardner Minshew is there. We know those guys are backups. The Cardinals QB mess, and I'm going to call this is a mess. It is an April mess.

This means they're already in tank mode for the 2027 draft. They're already laying it out there that we are in the market for the top of the draft next year. And one of these quarterbacks, there seems like there's six, seven, eight of these guys. One of those is ours. You know what?

This is perfect fodder and filler for what are we doing in April? We're bored. We don't have much to talk about. There's rumors, there's this, there's that. At the end of the day, Jacoby Brissette's saying, I'm not showing up yet.

So what? Whatever, man, that stuff can get worked out, fixed. And the reason why the Cardinals aren't doing it yet is because the draft hasn't happened yet, they don't have Ty Simpson yet. Nobody knows. Absolutely no, nobody knows how it's all pieces are all going to land.

And the end of the day is the picture is incomplete for 32 teams. Every year that we forget in the seven weeks between the new league year. And the draft that it's a puzzle piece. They're all pieces of the puzzle, and the draft is a massive piece. You know, it's like putting the phone down in the fugitive, in the home of the apartment of the one-armed man.

He doesn't hang up. He leaves it. He doesn't. He leaves it right there so you could find. And trace the apartment.

You know, I mean, Dr. Richard Kimball found a big piece, and that's what the draft is gonna be until the Cardinals have Ty Simpson. on their roster and in their grasp, they're not going to make any moves. And so, you know, at the end of the day, you know. Jacoby Brissette.

Has the right to say, I'm starting all 17 games in your estimation. That's your plan.

So, how about you plan to pay me a little bit more than backup money? And he can sit there and go, you know what? I'm not coming. And their answer could absolutely be: you know, hey, Jake Brisket, we love you, but you stay home. We got Gardner here.

Gardner will be the guy until Ty Simpson's ready, or whatever. There's no tank mode. I mean, they hired a coach. I can assure you, Michael Bidwell is sick and tired of watching the Cardinals as an NFC West punching bag or them as a punched line. There's no tank mode.

Um and and it's just like April. By the end of the day, if it is something that j they feel like Jacoby Brissette they need him, they'll flip him a few more million bucks. He'll be happy, he'll show up, and he'll still be Jake Brisket throwing it around. But calling it a mess. Like, whatever, man.

Like, this is April. And by June like, right now, Aaron Rodgers isn't even poking his head up. Oh, we're going to talk to Michael.

Okay, so whatever. But by the end of the day, he showed up in June and he played and they made the playoffs. Do you think Jacoby Brissett's check says Jake Brisket on it? I don't know, but I just love calling him that. I think it's just a great little shorthand.

I think they should have visions in Arizona Cardinals fans of manning Cardinals jerseys. Get ready for that.

Well, I mean, it would be great for them if they don't take Ty Simpson, and maybe Ty Simpson is the guy. And maybe their plan is to get him. Come heck or high water. They do have the second pick in the second round. They do have the second pick of Friday night, which is a very valuable selection.

And they could go ahead and flip it to somebody in the back end of the first round and say, all you're doing is dropping six spots, five spots, four spots. And you could still get the guy you want. We get the guy we want with a fifth-year contractual control. And then they do look at Jake Brisket and say, here's a couple, few more million bucks. Come on in from the cold and let's go.

I'm just getting this out there now. I understand, but it's still, it's just an April story that we can move past and call this as an overreaction. Rich Eisen here. That's good to know. And there was some flight to Pittsburgh. I'm assuming I'm going there for a reason. There's a reason we're going. There was some big kind of theory, possibly, that there would be a grand Aaron Rodgers reveal.

That's been kind of shut down.

Okay, that's not happening. I just love that idea. Like, Rodgers is going to leave wherever he is so he can have some sort of big moment in front of everybody, in front of the family. I mean, it would be kind of cool. I mean, and they're going to play Renegade, and there he is out there.

Hey, everyone, I'm Aaron Rodgers. Don't you think that would be sick, though? On behalf of the NFL? Oh, meat shield for Roger, and then he comes out, and everyone's going, you know, ape nuts. Like, it'd be kind of awesome.

I don't know. It just doesn't sound. Like something he would do. I mean, it would be great, you know, but what's where are you leading up to here? What I'm saying is at Pittsburgh, no matter what Rodgers does, they have no plan for the future at quarterback.

They should tell Rogers, no thanks. Called Derek Carr. He can be your bitch guy. Derek Carr is seven years younger than Aaron Rodgers, okay? Has been a successful quarterback in this league for the majority of his career.

He would cost something. Not money. Late-round draft pick. Who cares? I don't know.

Everybody cares about a late-round draft pick. They could turn into Manangai. They could turn into Brady. They could turn into Edelman. They could turn into who the hell though.

Brock Birdie. Big deal. You know, they could take Mr. Irrelevant and he's their guy for the future, just like the 49ers. You got Rodgers for one more season max, right?

You get Derek Carr. There's a 2-3 window where you can actually draft and develop a quarterback for your future, what they have not done in since Big Ben. Like, come on. Will Howard is going to be taking a bunch of reps in the April OTAs that start just this week for them. Um, and so it's a busy week in Pittsburgh.

Mike McCarthy has his practices, he's got people in the building, then they draft. Uh, the whole city's gonna be lit, literally and figuratively. I mean, I understand called Derek Carr, he's younger or whatever, but. I mean, McCarthy and Rogers know each other, and Rogers knows McCarthy, and. It makes sense.

Just like wait for him. I don't know. Whatever it is. I don't know what it is. He just wants to sit there and get it.

Just to understand the waiting, and it's like, no, no, no. Failing to plan is planning to fail. But they're also planning to take another quarterback, I imagine, in this year's draft. And then they'll have two young ones and Rogers. But the only reason why.

Um you know they the Here's the thing. It just doesn't make sense to hire somebody like McCarthy at his advanced age. And by I say advanced age, I'm just pointing out how much older he is than the usual hire over the past 50 years in Pittsburgh, where they take a younger guy. But he does fit in many ways. Um, Cam Hayward called him um on Friday show when he appeared last week, a perfect Yinser, right?

He's from Pittsburgh, of course.

So it makes sense there, and it also makes sense for him to develop a quarterback. The guy they're waiting on is a is the avatar for You know, McCarthy developing quarterbacks. Dak Prescott became better under his tutelage, or at least under his care.

So, you know, that's why it makes sense for them to draft another quarterback. It just doesn't seem to be the right draft in which to draft a quarterback. Although, last year, everybody thought the same thing. Um you know with Picks like Tyler Shuck, and he turned out to be damn near offensive rookie of the year. I'll just say, I understand the point of view.

It's like you're sick and tired of waiting for him. You know, the owner, Mark Rooney II, says, We're expecting, I expect an answer by the draft. He's not going to get it. It doesn't appear. We all, you know, just waiting for Rogers.

We have Rogers fatiguing the same way we had Favre fatigue back in the day, which is another amazing thing that Rogers is turning into Favre. 2.0 in many different ways, in terms of their career paths.

So I'll just call this an overreaction. It just seems like Pittsburgh wants to like dip its toe, and it's like, Mike Tomlin is gone. You need to go to the bottom. But who do you want to go dive in on? I mean, Derek Carr is the answer for the future of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I think his last start for the Raiders in the NFL was in that building. And Josh McDaniels sent him home played decently for the Saints. Like Sean Payton sent home Russell Wilson. On a Christmas Eve disaster. I was there.

Yeah, but then Derek Carr had a much better run with New Orleans than Russell Wilson has had since. What I'm saying is that Pittsburgh really wanted both ways, and you can't. Like, they got rid of Mike Tomlin now, but they still want to be like a winner. But they're still going to be in that 8-9 win. They need to bottom out and get a blue chip young kid.

There's no surefire young kid unless Will Howard just shows up and they're like, okay, I see it. Good enough. Yeah. Okay. Good enough.

So if Rodgers does jilt us or leave us at the altar or we get sick and tired of it, we're going with the champion kid from Columbus. All right, couple more. What else? Uh Adam Scheffer had this in his report, and I'm going to trust that, Rich Isaac. When A.J.

Brown is traded to the Patriots. Yes. When? Because that seems like everyone expects that to happen. And the reason why it hasn't happened yet is because there's a June salary cap concern that the Eagles need met before they go and flip him to New England currently.

So when he is dealt to New England after June 1st, he's going to lead the league in touchdowns this year. I don't think that's an overreaction at all. You know, if this happens. This does remind me, and I know what I'm saying. Oh, I know exactly what you're going to say.

He's the Randy Moss of the equation. He's the beast of a physical receiver who can go outside the numbers and win 50-50 balls and give the quarterback of the Patriots a big, fat, deep target who can also go over the middle and be a massive matchup problem. Yeah, like, you know, and that guy, you know, led the league in touchdowns with what, with 21 of the 50, right? 23 set the record. I actually was thinking about saying that he would set the record, but 23 is a lot.

And I don't want to disrespect May. That's quite a lot. That was the most amazing season. The first round of the Hall of Famer for a reason. I don't know if A.J.

Brown's even on that career. But if you're telling me A.J. Brown could catch 15 touchdowns next year, I wouldn't shock you at all. I don't think that's it. Wouldn't shock me at all either.

I do not think that this is an overreaction. I think he's exactly what the Patriots need, exactly who the Patriots need. I think he's a perfect fit. I think Drake May's deep ball throwing is special. I think this guy is a special 50-50 receiver.

He will show up with a chip on his shoulder. He will show up happy. He will show up A.J. Brown without his book. To read on the side with that.

I think 100% this is why everyone feels it's going to happen because it's a perfect fit for New England. We'll find out if he really is on the block for New England to take because the Eagles might actually hold on to him. But then you look at the fact that they get Dantavian Wicks and they also get Hollywood Brown. Right. Two together might equal the one that they're giving up.

I understand. I don't think this is an overreaction, Christopher. All right. Well, no more A.J. Brown for me until this time.

But I will, it'll be very, that's a lie, but it's not a lie if you believe it, to use the Costanza phrase. And you're the Costanza right now. I will take, you know, and the rest of us are looking at you as a Patriot fan with A.J. Brown as if you have a hair piece and just saying, I don't like this. I don't like this and throw it out the window.

Okay. Like we're all the rest of the NFL is Elaine looking at your new hair piece named A.J. Brown. That's funny. All right.

What else do you think? I would look terrible with hair.

Okay. Last one, Rich Eisen. The guy we've been talking about seemingly for weeks, and it's one of those, you know. Yeah. New year to draft stories is Ty Simpson.

Where's he going to go? What's his fit? Yes. I think it's a team with an established quarterback, possibly a Super Bowl contender. That is who is going to take Ty Simpson.

Well, I think he would wish for that to be the case. I know he wants to play right away. If any kid wants to play right away, And then there's word that he turned down $6.5 million in a transfer portal deal from Miami. I might have taken that if I was him. I guess.

Miami quarterbacks have done really well. Carson Beck, obviously, had a good season last year, had them in the national championship game. And yet Cameron was the number one overall pick. But yet Ty Simpson is going to be drafted before Carson Beck. I think if you want to turn this into what's more likely, who's going to be drafted first?

But you talk about, I mean, we talked to Carson back at the combine. He's like, who's going to have the better NFL career? I don't know that I would say that Ty Simpson is going to have a better career than Carson. But at the end of the day, at the end of the day, if you're Ty Simpson, I think you want to be drafted in Arizona. I really do.

Really? Yeah, because you'll probably be a first-round quarterback. They're probably going to move up into the end of the first round for him. You know, it would make sense to do that. I mean, that fifth year of contractual control is a massive, it's huge.

Massive, you know. back pocket Chip for any team that drafts a quarterback. I mean, rather than a four-year guy who doesn't, you know, who's going to have to be signed sooner rather than later. Mike LaFleur has a terrific reputation for being an offensive guru. You know, his Disastrous stint with the Jets aside.

Um you know, although that does sound redundant. Um, Ty Simpson being drafted by a Super Bowl contender that will let him sit, and then eventually Jordan love him and put him out there. is not a bad choice for him either. I just don't know which one that's going to be. Everyone keeps pegging the Rams.

Yeah. I think the Rams are just going to load up and say, you know, we're Stafford window, Mike. You know, in the same way that the picks are usually effed, like, F all them plans for the future. Like, now's it, man. This is it.

Just keep building right now. Let's keep adding pieces for. For their quarterback in his dotage, and their move to flip the 29th overall selection for Trent McDuffie is the exact evidence. of of my belief here. Rather than stick and pick 29th overall is exactly the type of spot I think Ty Simpson.

is being pegged for. In this draft right now, and the Rams had that opportunity and said, Screw, we're going with Trent McDuffie. Certainly, when we got. a pick sitting there in in the top fifteen. uh thanks to the falcons last year Um so at this point in time I I I'll I'll call this an overreaction.

I still think at the end of the day. It is Arizona. Yeah, yeah, I think so.

Okay. Well done, Christopher. Rich, we are off and running. We are off and running. If you're listening to this pod or you're watching it in any way, shape, or form on Monday, because that's the name of the podcast and you're a fan of this show and you want to watch it right away.
