U 10 weeks, two and a half months in the books, for the exception of a big fat Monday nighter in Green Bay, Wisconsin, between the Eagles and the Packers. Time for another edition of Overreaction Monday. Good to see you, Christopher Brockman. What's up, man? I am Rich Eisen.
We say hello to anybody who's watching this show on our YouTube channel, youtube.com/slash Rich Eisen Show or the cutdown version on ESPN2. And of course, we say hello to anybody who listens to us wherever you get your podcasts. Are you ready, Christopher Brockman? Oh, I was born for a day like today, Rich Eisen. All right.
Well, that's because your Patriots have won eight of 10 to start the season. Hit it, hit it, hit it. That was terrible. That was crap. That was garbage.
This place sucks. Overreaction Mondays. Monday. All right, Christopher, what have you got cooked up for me, sir? It's funny how you mention the Patriots because Rich Eisen, I've been waiting five long years to say this phrase.
The Patriots are the best team in the AFC. I'm going to still put. Push back on you on that front and say the Colts have the same record as you, and also that me having the Broncos above your Patriots in my power rankings last week did not age very well, even though. All three teams I just mentioned won in week 10 to go to 8-2 to create that three-way tie atop the American Football Conference right now. I just think again the Let's put it this way.
The Patriots And the Colts. have in my mind the two front runners for the most valuable player award in the nfl through 10 weeks And that's Drake May, obviously, for the Patriots and Jonathan Taylor for the Indianapolis Colts. Both of them came up. With MVP-type performances in I guess Road games, road contests, or games that weren't in their homes because it was a a Colts home game in Berlin to kick off four windows of football on Sunday. But again, Drake May dropping footballs 50 yards away from him into the Uh Hands of the receivers just as they're in stride, and it's a feathery football that just falls into their hands.
Again, I keep returning what Kurt Warner said earlier in the month or late October that Drake May is the best deep thrower of the football in the National Football League, and they're like handoffs. And that happened again when they were up 21-16 yesterday, and they needed to flip the field. And win this football game in Tampa in the rain when things weren't looking very good. And then you have obviously what Jonathan Taylor did bouncing back from that loss in Pittsburgh, where he and the rest of the team didn't look at all like they did for the rest of the previous eight games of their season at that point.
So I think the Patriots are in this conversation, which nobody thought would be possible coming into the season, certainly when they were one and two, or even two and two, or even when they went to three and two by beating Buffalo in western New York on that Sunday night. Yeah, that was like, oh, that was a nice win. Yeah. Let's see what you can do for me. It's a super higher register, but you know, the way they've built on it, it's been unbelievable to watch.
Right. They had won their second in a row. By beating Buffalo on that Sunday night in week five, to get above 500 for the first time all year. And for the first time, I think in several years, as a matter of fact. And it was kind of like, okay, let's see what you can do from here.
And all they've done is win five more in a row after that to go to eight and two. I'll just call this an overreaction for the moment, but you're not completely. Far afield from anything. I think the cults are still. At eight and two.
The best team in the AFC right now. And the Broncos just, they are way too inconsistent on offense for my liking. They are, at some point, They're not going to either A, wake up in quarter number four, or their first three-quarter struggles on offense that keeps putting their remarkable defense back on the field is going to come up and catch them against a team from the NFC East whose large lead against them won't be overcome in Philadelphia or. The Giants. I think it's going to come back to bite them at some point unless they can iron these things out.
And interestingly enough, their next game is against Kansas City. Week 11, by the way, is chock full. of big-time contests, including the Eagles taking on the Lions after tonight's game. Against the Pacific. We'll get to that in a second.
Just Patriots have won eight games combined in the last two years. They have eight wins on November 10th. That is absolutely insane. Again, we were all hearing about how this team's draft was terrific and how Vrabel was going to come and change things around and how Drake May was going to take a step forward. But I think even this.
Is off the charts unexpected. What's come to win eight of 10 like this? Crazy. And I know you were upset about how Joel Milton beating the Bills in week 18 last year. You know, as Gerard Mayo was truly deadman coaching in that game, cost you the Travis Hunter opportunity at second overall to draft him.
Well, Will Campbell being the consolation prize has been nothing but terrific. And here's the stat for you to help you out. Um and the rest of you uh Massachusetts fans, I will say. Oh, thank you. Thanks for cleaning that up.
We're talking to a linear cable audience as well right now. New England has scored 23 or more points, or allowed 23 or fewer points in each of the last seven games.
So their seven-game win streak has been. They've scored more than 23 and allowed 23 or fewer, okay? That is the longest streak of such games within a season by the Patriots in team history. And again, we know they once upon a time had an undefeated regular season in 2007. The eight previous times in NFL history.
where a team had such a streak of seven or more games within a season, either went on to win the Super Bowl or the AFL NFL Championship, five of the previous eight.
So, interesting. The last team to do it. were last year's Eagles. The team before that to do it. were Kurt Warner's Rams.
Dang.
So it was a long gap between the Eagles and the teams that have only had a longer streak.
So let's say the Patriots score more than 23. and give up fewer than 23 against their next opponent. The Jets on Thursday night. They would tie the 84. 49ers an eight-game win streak of such a thing.
They are doing it, and they're doing it on. In every phase. They got the home runs yesterday. Kyle Williams finally announced his presence with authority, and Trevion Henderson had the two long touchdown runs, something fans have been waiting for all season. I've had enough talking about you.
Understand. Let's move on. Let's stay in the AFC East. I get that weird things happen in Miami, but I think there's a larger issue going on with the Bills. The Bills are not going to win a playoff game this year, and their Super Bowl window is closed.
I'll say that's an overreaction. I hate this Super Bowl window is closed conversation. I just can't stand that. You know, I I I can't. I mean, just again, how many times did you, again, as a Patriot fan, hear Tom Brady's Super Bowl window is closed?
That his first few years in which he came into the league and won three in five years was something, or three in four years was something that would, that's it. It's over. It's over. Even when, you know, Eli Manning beat him. And then the conversation: how it was over in the middle of the Super Bowl against the Falcons, and their Super Bowl window wasn't even closed in that Super Bowl.
Okay, so I mean, we will not count to the mainstream. To paraphrase a famous political moment, I mean. I am friends and know Tom Brady. I mean, Josh Allen is no Tom Brady. Like, let's be honest.
Very few people are Tom Brady, even though Drake May is having Tom Brady-like stats in his first two years of his career. And I cannot push back that things don't look good for the Buffalo Bills. I cannot push back on the fact that. That's supposed to be a, I mean, they're coming off a huge win against Kansas City. They're supposed to have all the momentum, get back into the mix as AFC contenders.
What was that Sunday? And the Dolphins were coming off of that dreadful Thursday night loss against the Ravens, where they did nothing right, fired their general manager, and wound up trading away Jalen Phillips. To the Eagles. They're in tank mode. After all of that.
Listen, it does not look good. They have eight. Giveaways In their three losses this season. Eight. Do you know last year This is kind of like a did you know.
Last year, they had a league. fewest eight giveaways. all season long.
So, they are doing things this year that we didn't see last year. And that may be the difference between last year being, well, You know, everybody says we don't have the weapons. to succeed around Josh Allen.
Well, look at us, we're the sum of our parts. They didn't make mistakes last year like they're doing right now. And now, maybe those mistakes in these games in which they have lost. makes this roster look like it has holes. In the same way last year it did not.
Or it's a similar roster, and that's the difference between making the playoffs and winning a playoff game, or not, as you're saying right now. I can't sit here and say the Bills. will win a playoff game this year. Because it sure looks like they're going to have to go on the road. And it looks like they're going to have to go on the road to say maybe Baltimore.
If Baltimore keeps winning football games, they may have to go on the road and take on the Patriots again. They may have to go on the road into Denver. And win that game against a defense that would be, I would think, tougher than the Dolphins one that put the bang thing on them on Sunday. Yeah, I think that's okay. They may have to go into Indianapolis as well.
And against the teams. You know, in recent memory, oh, sure, Josh Allen can win those games, but in the current construct, where James Cook is either not running it because they don't give it to him enough. Or two he He is running it and you're stopping him. And like yesterday, having a giveaway in the red zone. By him.
The Bills are beatable, and they are definitely not Super Bowl-worthy contenders this year if they play like this. But the windows closed? Uh I just I don't want to hear any of that stuff. Oh, your window's closed. Forget it.
Then you're one draft choice away from maybe the window being open again. Or you redo your roster because you do have a terrific general manager in Brandon Beanie. You do have somebody like Josh Allen to build around. I'm just, I don't buy that Super Bowl Windows closed thing.
So I'll just call this an overreaction and ask you to move on, sir.
Okay, I will move on. I'm going to come west. Like everyone did back in the day, Rich, the NFC road to the Super Bowl goes through the West. In both Oh, the NFC, okay. Yeah, either Seattle or either the Rams.
The NFC road to the Super Bowl goes through the West. Hahaha. I was again thinking about how I'm going to talk about this on the flagship show on Monday. Again, we record this every Monday over Reaction Monday before the Rich Eisen Show every single Monday, like every day, 12 to 3 Eastern Time. Disney Plus, ESPN app and ESPN radio.
Keep going. And that the Monday night game Um You know, big. And the loser would be left. reeling a little bit. Eagles, less so because that division, I think, is theirs regardless of a win or loss Monday night.
I think you're right about that. But that would also mean the conference. might not be theirs. 'Cause the Packers would take a step forward. And the Lions just looked like, again, the Lions again.
We're going to talk about them.
Okay. And, you know, with Dan Campbell calling the plays. Hold on.
Okay. Um so I will say though. that the as i let off this show with you that week 11 is chock full of big time matchups Rams hosting the Seahawks is one of them. The Seahawks are a wagon. They are.
And the Rams with Matthew Stafford, as I mentioned on the show, I think three weeks ago, is that this will be the year in which Matthew Stafford convinces anybody who has doubts about his Hall of Fame credentials that he is a Hall of Famer.
Well, you know, that's what this is. This year is about. You know, you said the Colts and Patriots have the front two front runners for MVP. Oh, Stafford's in there. What about Matthew?
I mean, Matthew Stafford is in the mix. Him and Drake may have the same odds right now. Yeah. I mean, what Matthew Stafford's done over the last three weeks is truly unbelievable. And The stat I have on that regard, I will read to you right now, sir.
Is that Matthew Stafford over the last Three weeks. has had touchdown Games of five, four, and four.
Okay, that's thirteen of them. That's just quick math, yeah. In a three-game span. Outrageous. In the Super Bowl era, only Brady and Roethlisberger have had a better.
Result of 14 touchdowns with no interceptions in that three-game span. And Brady And Mahomes, who did it in 2018, won the MVP. Rothlessberger didn't. Nor did Russell Wilson, who had 13 in 2015, as we know both of those guys famously. What never even got a vote from MVP?
Well, they did the voting different back then, correct? Yeah. But Matthew Stafford. In the Super Bowl era. To have four or more passing touchdowns and three or more straight games in a row.
Okay, I just told you about any three-game span within a season, okay? Overlapping spans since 1970. I just gave you that stat. But within a season, In the Super Bowl era, there is only one quarterback. to have had four more passing touchdowns.
And zero interceptions in three straight games. And that's Matthew Stafford over the last three games. Because everyone else who's had a streak. like this. Russell Wilson, as I mentioned, Mahomes and Drew Brees had three straight games of four more passing touchdowns within a season.
Marino had one better in 1984. He did it four straight times. And Peyton Manning did it five straight times in 2004. All of them. had thrown at least one interception in that stretch.
Not Matthew Stafford.
So yes, and Seattle's defense is lit. But I I just can't sit here and say we have to discount the NFC North. We cannot discount The box If and when they get Evans, Godwin, and Bucky Irving back. And I cannot discount the defending Super Bowl champs, so I'll call this an overreaction. If you've shopped online, chances are you've bought from a business powered by Shopify.

We saw a if you woke up for the fourth window of football here on the on the West Coast, you saw a performance for the ages from RB28. Jonathan Taylor locked up at least one award on Sunday.
Oh, I agree. There's just no doubt. Of that digital town. And I love what Christian McCaffrey has done. And I'm just wondering again if the voters at the end of the day, by the way, I will utilize this.
Platform to let you know. I finally have gotten a vote. Oh, from the Associated. No way. Yes, we'll discuss it more on the Rich Islands.
Oh my gosh, congratulations. I appreciate you saying that. That's awesome. It's only been 22 years, but at any rate. is that I I can only see how McCaffrey, if he continues on his path and Also, Taylor on his path and a quarterback on his path.
That the split at the end of the day amongst my now fellow voters might be best quarterback MVP. Jonathan Taylor, best running back, gets. offensive. Player of the Year, and Christian McCaffrey gets a highly deserved comeback player of the year award. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I just don't know how the players would view such things. But Jonathan Taylor locked up at least one award on Sunday. At least one way to play. At least one. Listen, man.
That was unbelievable. He is just. Spectacular. And the number of times that I'm sitting there watching the game with Cooper, and I'm sure some other people sitting at home. uh wherever you are watching this early window of football on NFL network.
That you're sitting there saying, why don't you just kick the field goal in overtime, just end it? I would have liked that. It would have given me a fantasy win this week. Interesting enough, you would say that. But when you've got Jonathan Taylor, And you're just like, just keep running until they stop and then At some point, we'll just stop.
Calling plays, and we'll just kick a field goal because he's not going to fumble it, and you're not going to stop him.
So let's just end it this way. It might be a better percentage handing it to 28 the way that he is playing than sending a kicker out to attempt a layup. You know, they might blow the bunny here in Germany, and then all of a sudden, where does that leave you? I mean, that's how incredible he is. And on his house call, he was stuffed.
And then he just kind of bounced it, and then he was gone. What he is doing this year. is unbelievable. First of all, he surpassed Edrin James for most career rushing touchdowns in Colts history, just like that. He leads the NFL with 17 scrimmage touchdowns in 2025.
That's the most through the first 10 games of a season in Colts' history. He now has the most career games with 200 or more scrimmage yards and two or more touchdowns in NFL history with five behind only two.
Okay, he's third, tied for third, behind L.T. and Derrick Henry, tied with Jim Brown and Eric Dickerson. And in terms of the most career games with 200 or more scrimmage yards and three rushing touchdowns, he's now tied with Derrick Henry for second place all time, behind LaDani and Tomlinson with four. And he's still going this season. is half way done, so this, sir.
Normally in week ten I'd say you're out of your mind. But this 100% is a proper reaction. He locked up at least one postseason award on Sunday for sure. What else, sir? Rich, we saw something cool.
It was a playoff rematch in our nation's capital Lions Commanders. Yes, sir. And Dan Campbell did something awesome. And I think if Dan Campbell calls offensive plays the rest of the season, the Lions will be the one seed. The one seed is a tall order.
That was an offensive explosion. It was. It was. And by the way, I just don't know. If it is an eyesight thing with him, because he was wearing glasses or.
Hmm. The so the play sheet needed to be that big? In his hand, Because he needed the Font to be large enough for him to see it with his glasses. Because the way I call football games, and I'm in the booth, I do have it sort of like this. I sort of go full Chuck Schumer right here, like with the glasses on the bridge of my nose, because I need to see over my glasses.
That's what he was doing. He was doing this whole thing with it. Or the play sheet just needs to be. Proportional to his size. Right.
But this is the thing that I'm sitting there while I'm wondering two things. One. The diner menu is exactly. Like it can't. It could have been, if it was the regular thing, it would have looked like a postage stamp in his big ass man hands.
Or it just, you know. This is the thing I was thinking while watching it. That's funny. While also then wondering, why is he doing this? Right.
I mean, that's funny. And that was a lot of people's first reaction. How about let me do this? Let me say this If he calls offensive plays for the rest of the season. It would be odd if he doesn't now.
Yeah. With the results. You can't really go backwards that we saw in this game.
Well, with Johnny Morton, listen, and this is where I'm going with this, because again, Washington also has now lost four in a row by 21 or more points. That's the longest losing streak in the NFL with a signal season like that since the 2002 Cardinals. And what, so understood, but what they came up with is a season high, total yards 546, rushing yards 226, and first downs with 30. If he keeps doing this.
Okay. I'm not going to say they'll be the one seed because there's too many other teams right now that I would be disrespecting by saying that. Sure. I will say he is loaded. I will say the fact that he would take away the play calling in the middle of the season without a boo-repeep throughout the week leading up to it to reports like, oh, he's calling the plays and doesn't have a revolt on the offensive side of the ball in his staff, that sets him up for coach of the year.
Oh, interesting. How about that? If Dan Keeple, if Dan Campbell keeps calling offensive plays. And the Lions play well enough for the one seed. Then that's coach of the year material.
Although I still have a lot of people. I got it. I understand. Normally, you go with teams that are surprising. You go with the surprising picks.
What about with the ones that have been at the top and have gone through changes prior to the season, as well as. The season in which you're doing it to do that. To have the I mean, listen, nobody's ever questioned or been surprised by the size of Church bells in relation to Dan Campbell. But that's quite something to do. I was stunned.
I couldn't, and it worked out the way it did. Man, oh man. And next up, it's V. Vic Fangio against the Eagles. In week number 11.
So I'd be surprised if. if he gives up the play calling at this point in time for sure. Rich, you were at SoFi on Sunday night for Steelers, Chargers. I was indeed. Basically, a Pittsburgh home game, I think, right?
That is correct, sir.
Well, they saw not great quarterback play. The cliff has come for Aaron Rodgers, and the Steelers should think about starting Mason Rudolph. That's absurd. That's positively absurd. He was terrible.
That may be out of all of your topics. That are built to be outrageous because of the construct of this show and what it's about. That may be the most outrageous one to date through the 10 plus weeks of this show in 2025. You've got to be out of your mind. He was awful.
One of the worst games he's ever played. I'm not denying that, but for you to say he's finished, the cliff has arrived, and let's try Mason Rudolph. Mason Rudolph is there in case of emergency. I think we have an emergency. No, we don't.
Not to the point where you got to bring in Mason Rudolph until you tell Aaron Rodgers. You know, here, Aaron. Your physical skill set looked so bad in that one game after your physical skill set looked so great in the week previous when the defense was crushing it. The week previously, excuse me. The defense didn't want me covering up.
You know what? You could say that all you want. But Aaron Rodgers Through the first nine games of this season, and has been 100% physically better. than anybody thought. And we were even talking about it a couple of weeks ago on this very podcast and show, Chris, about how he looked like he had turned back the clock physically and how terrific he had been playing.
And neck up, neck up. What are you going to sit that neck up ability down?
So Mason Rudolph's, you know, much younger neck up? Imagine Rodgers in the physical ability of Mason Rudolph. Look, Rodgers is only built for eight or nine weeks. And he's now reached the point of the season where his 41-year-old body can't do it anymore. Dude, here's the deal: look at the Steelers' schedule.
They go home to take on the Bengals, who, again, Um be The Steelers on that Thursday night, not because of what Rodgers was doing. As a matter of fact, Rogers was making throws in that game, like the one of Fryermuth at the end, that were one of those turn back the clock situations. For 100%. And they didn't lose at home to Green Bay because of that. Rogers sputtering offense either.
And they beat the Colts. Because Rodgers' offense was the same in those two games, if not maybe a step down, and this defense finally met him. and surpass them. Last night was just a brutal performance from start to finish. It did not look pretty.
The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off of a bye week. They have 100% been the worst defense you and I have seen in quite some time in the rest of the NFL. And then he visits the spot Where he loves to go and own the Bears, just when the Bears might be cresting right and they're feeling great about themselves, and Rogers and the Steelers are going to come in and maybe do something. Like, you're not benching Rodgers going into Chicago. You're going to send Mason Rudolph against Buffalo?
And then it's rubber meets road time. You got Rodgers for the two games against Baltimore, and it will be for the division, which everybody was wondering if it would be for the division by the time week fourteen rolled around prior to the season when Burrough was healthy. Just take a beat. It sucked. You know, Tomlin doesn't bury tape.
But Mason Rudolph, no, sir, re. What's next? Overreaction. And that one was the easiest one of the year for me. Interesting.
Thank you for that spinning cushion in the zone. Interesting. All right, just food for thought. Yes. It's not good for the Giants either.
That's their, what, fourth comeback loss, I guess you could call it. The jaws of victory. The jaws of victory. They'd say snatched at another one. If Brian Dayball eats it, the Giants should call Lane Kiffen to match him back up with Jackson Dart.
Interesting. I haven't heard this name thrown out yet. Everyone's talking about Lane for one of these giant SEC jobs that are open. What about lane back to the NFL? Let's match him up with his old quarterback.
Mm. I just I mean, lame and the marrows and the tissues. I'm sure Lane's got some NFL demons he'd like to bury. Oh, there's no doubt about that. Overhead projectors.
Dude, I remember that when Lane Kiffin was the coach of the Raiders, and I called the first game I ever called on NFL Network. Was a senior bowl. I forget what year it was. You can look it up. Because the Raiders were the AFC team in the senior bowl.
Oh, they were the coaching staff. And the coaching staff was led by Lane Kiffin. And I remember in the pre-broadcast meeting, he strolled in. And he had no Raiders logos on his black. Outfit.
He wore the colors, but not the logo of the team. And that was when the overhead projector and all that crazy ass stuff was going down. Um so yeah, I I I don't think that this is a bad idea. You hook him up with Dart and And give him a shot to come back to the NFL. And I think that would be the only thing that he would be, he'd consider.
But you'd have to. You'd have to pay him a ton of money, and I think him in New York City would be something else. Pretty fun, right? Imagine Lane doing his weekly radio thing in New York. Dart, look, obviously, is a hit.
This kid has some special. He's got all the mocks. The problem is, he's getting hit. That's the problem. He's getting too hit.
Too much hit. It's the fourth time this year he's been checked for a confusion. Yeah, Drake Mayluk had that issue last year and this year. He's cleaned it up. That's something that comes with age and experience at the position.
And coaching and offensive line. Here's the issue here: I think Wayne would be a great fit. Bro, it's the defense, too. I mean, they just fall apart in the fourth quarter.
Well, they are now, their point differential is minus 47 in the fourth quarter. And the only team that's worse is the team that keeps blowing it in the fourth quarter prior to getting blown out by the end, by the middle of the first quarter yesterday. The Cardinals, only the Cardinals are worse at minus 53. And that that's listen, I was talking about this with Cooper on the way home last night from the game and And he's just like, Do you think Brian Dable is going to get fired dead? And I'm like, this is the last thing the Giants want to do.
They're really just the last thing they want to do. They like the guy. I'm not surprised. He's a highly likable guy in terms of bringing quarterbacks along. Dude.
I mean, well, I mean, I understand that in what he was doing at Alabama on the sideline when two and hurts were there. But Jackson Dart just doesn't just come out of a box. You know what I mean?
So, so. He's already doing it with Dart. You know, it's amazing how everyone just like Not ascribing any of Dart's success to what Dayball might have been cooking up. In the spring and the summer. It's all about all the blown stuff.
I understand that. And also the fact that he has not made a change on his defensive staff when the whole city has been screaming for it. And he's just standing at the gates and saying, I'll like sort of Coach Dale waving his leather satchel at the howling fans saying, This is my plan and this is it. Um I I I But the the Giants just have lost Now 11 straight on the road. Only the Browns have a longer road losing streak.
They're now 2-8 this season. Um And and for whatever reason. I don't know why Jameis Winston is just rendered useless over there. I don't know. Why do I keep going back to Russ, man?
That was.
So, this is, I won't say this is an overreaction to say if Dave Old loses his job, because you just don't want, again, you don't want to start from scratch. You don't want to bring in a new team of coaches. You don't want to throw yourself in the mosh pit with the Titans to look for staffs. You just don't want to do it. But that's not a bad idea.
What else you got over there? All right, two more Rich, and we'll finish up. AFC North talk here. The Steelers, we mentioned, are kind of taking on a little bit of water here. And the Ravens, with big favorites, to win this division now, but didn't look great in Minnesota.
The AFC North winner is going to be 9-8, and they're going to be one and done. They're going to lose to the five-seed. Hmm. Just an off year for the division. I think the AFC North winner will be the four seed right now because the other divisions are led by eight and two teams.
And thus, if any of those teams collapse, that means somebody else has come from the wildcard or sniffing it categories to overtake them. Kansas City, I think, would be that prime candidate at five and four, as opposed to the Ravens now at four and five, or the Texans who had a massive come from behind win to save their season against Jacksonville. Yeah, Jacksonville is kind of slipping as well. I will just say that the and then the five seed Could be Kansas City, could be the Chargers. Right.
And so, by the way, Ravens, the Harbow, you could put that 100% on the Saturday night of wildcard weekend or the Monday nighter. Ooh, that's fun too. You know, on ESPN and ABC. That's getting a primetime spot. Nine and eight, though, I'd push back on.
Really? Yeah, yeah. Again, you look at the Ravens schedule, and I said it two weeks ago. I'll be hard-pressed to figure out the next time I don't take the Ravens. going into the week.
Probably against New England if they keep it. That may be it. That may be it. Even if New England, brother, if New England takes like a double-digit win streak into that game, that would be wild in week 16. That'll be flexed.
The Sunday Night Football. I have no idea what the week 16 Sunday nighter is, except the fact I have it here in front of me. Let me see if they would. Yeah, they'd flex out of Minnesota, Dallas in a heartbeat for that. And I imagine Ravens and.
And patriots were not protected by CBS way back in the day. Uh so Yeah, I I look seriously, at Cleveland, home for the Jets, home for Cincinnati, home for Pittsburgh, at Cincinnati. I mean, again, I'd be like, I'd imagine it'd be a while. I got eighth game winning score. I mean, Bonro might be back for either one of those if Cincinnati starts winning a couple of games and and Just keep an ear out and an eye out from information men and women starting to report on Burroughs' readiness because we're hovering around that period of time, eager for that update.
So I'll push back on the 9-8 card, but making it as the four seed and losing and being one and done, I don't think is an overreaction right now. Last one, they were teasing it on the Sunday night game last night.
Next week's, let's talk about it real quick. The winner of next Sunday night's Lions Eagles game. Yes, sir. Going to the Super Bowl. I don't know how you square it by the NFC West.
What was your NFC West? I don't even remember.
Okay, that's the way this works. It's the way the multiverse works. I don't even remember.
They're all independent. Overreaction Monday. It's just like you overreact and it's gone. That's right. It kind of sounds like the media.
It's McConaughey. It's a fairy dust. Yeah. Again, I can't sit here and discount. Uh the West.
Or the box What happens, God, when Irving and if Evans comes back? What if that happens? The heavens open up and water turns into wine because I don't see that happening. The Evans part, right? The Godwin part either.
Bucky Irving? What is going on with this guy? I don't know. But he was walking around at least with an earbud. I mean, Abuka is unbelievable.
He sure is. Ed Baker's still talking about.
So I can't discount the. Rest of the NFC North. And I can't discount any of the NFC West. It may come down to it that the Rams are the best team in football. At the end of the day, even though they're not even in first place in their division, because they have a worse division record than Seattle.
I am curious what Philadelphia looks like Monday night in Green Bay. I think they're going to win the game. I'm surprised that they're underdogs. The way Green Bay is Philadelphia. Yeah, the way Green Bay has looked recently.
But. Again, this is discounting a lot of really good football teams. And I guess so I'll call this an overreaction and then finish up this way. I can't recall a time in my 22-plus years of doing this thing with NFL Network or the 11-plus seasons for the Rich Eisen show. where we're entering week 11 where it's anybody's league.
And we can't sit here and identify that's the best team in football. Rich. One or two of them saying that's the best team in football. Yeah. They're blowing out.
Either one of the conferences, you can identify at least one of the conferences, one seed by this point in time, or at least a favorite for it. I I I can't recall. Where it's so wide open. DJ said he doesn't know who the number one pick in the draft is next year. You could tell me six different teams right now will be the one seed in the conference, and you'd be like, Yeah, okay.
I believe that. I believe that. All you need to know is the Chiefs are the betting favorite for the Super Bowl right now. They're the eighth seed. They're not even in the playoffs.
Well, I mean, and it's sort of. I I guess a larger version, a a a conference league-wide version of what we've been talking about with the AFC North now for a month. When the Ravens were one and five. And there are still the Feelers were four and one. Everyone's like, look out for the Ravens.
Yeah. You know, that's how crazy this is. It's been a while since. All right, so that wraps it up for Overreaction Monday, every single day, 12 to 3 Eastern Time on Disney Plus, the ESPN app, ESPN Radio, SiriusXM Channel 80 for the Rich Eisen Show. We also, guests this week, Ted Danson and Mary Steen Virgin together.
Hey now. How about that? Love it. Oh, and Leonard Williams later on on Monday. Lad McConkey, Ladidi, set for on Tuesday.
That's just for the first two days this week. No contest wrestling, the Jim Jackson show, or other podcast offerings through our YouTube channel, youtube.com/slash Rich Eisen Show or wherever you get your podcasts. That wraps it up on Overreaction Monday. Good job, Christopher. Good job, Rich.
I'm Rich. Peace out.
