Reaction to Crown Jewel and Monday Night RAW in Perth, TNA's "Bound for Glory", and a review "The Smashing Machine"

About seven hours ago, it went off. And the big thing is, the vision is very cloud. The vision has cataracts right now. The vision has cataracts because. This just in, and I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't seen it yet.

So, if you haven't, turn down this podcast for about 30 seconds. But Braun Breaker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. They've turned on Seth Rollins. They turned on him. Yes.

Yes! I knew it! I knew it. I mean, we all knew it. I'm not going to act like I'm some sort of Nostradamus.

We know wrestling. Friends don't stay together. No. But this fast? This was quick.

This is quick fast. This was a little quick, wasn't it? The vision. Can you see now? What is happening now?

Bro, it's all over the place right now, bro. And. I'm so. Happy? You are such a hate.

I'm so happy. The hate is so strong in you. I love this for me. Even all of my goodness, and I like to, you know, just put out, spread love, it's the Brooklyn way. You know what I'm saying?

But your hate. It's like, it's like. The human torch and ice man going at it, and like I'm trying to put up this barrier, but you keep coming with the heat and trying to melt all the ice. It's so good because. Lord, do we need a shakeup?

You know me. I love me some Monday Night Raw. But I have had enough. of Monday Night Raw ending the same way. Over and over and over, nobody can get a good time.

Monday Night Raw, never. Has a good ending. As far not as far as like... Oh, that was a poor performance or anything like that. There's just no happy endings.

I finally. Finally, got my happy ending. And now we got us a shake-up, brother. It's shooking up. I mean, I'm great.

You seem healthy, but man The vision is shook it up. Yeah, man, the vision got pink eye, right? It's like somebody did something on a pillow and they slept on it. Look, man, again, we know it's coming, but this seems kind of quick to me at least. Yeah, and it was, there were subtle hints.

Oh, yeah. Subtle hints. Very subtle hints. You get Seth not listening to Paul Heyman, not taking, you know, not treating him as a wise man. Or an equal.

Yeah, yeah.

So, you know, we had the situation a while back of him jumping in the rain to attack Cody after Heyman told him not to, and then Heyman holding the dogs back a little bit, let him do his thing. This is what he wanted to do. And then, of course, before Crown Jewel. Um, him telling them what it would mean if he lost to Cody. And so we were like, okay, we're starting to get the seeds.

I ain't never seen a tree blossom so fast. It was insane. And It of course, the Australian crowd, which is always a good crowd, whether it be An ice cube concert or a WWE event because Australia gets down. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. Yeah, it they erupted.

And you know, there's a kind of a, as a wrestling fan, there's a bit of a safe space that you feel when. when you see the credits start to go. And the credit started to go. Thought it's the same old Monday Night Raw ending, but then Braun Breaker. decided to brawn break the internet and Seth Rollins as well.

And it started at the top of the show when they first came out and Seth was, you know, kind of You know, basking in the glory. Look, we're going to get to this soon. He wins crown jewel. He's, you know, he's got that ring, he's got the belt. He's saying he didn't need the men in the ring.

You know, they didn't need him, but they came together. And the whole time. You're looking at Braun Breaker and he's just kinda like scratching his head like, hmm. And You kinda could tell if you just looked at them something something wasn't right. Yeah, something was a brewing.

Summons are Bruin and it it happened. He he spears Seth Rollins He walks up to Bronson and is like, look, bro. Are you with me? I mean, you can go. You can see where he is at.

But you with me or no? Bronze Lore, Hometown Hero. I gotta get this pop, baby.

So he hits the tsunami on Seth, drove him over to the corner, and hit him with the. Yeah, bro. Yeah, exactly.

So, and then I started to look at Heyman. How is Heyman reacting to this? First, he looked shook a little bit. He looked a little shook, and then he was like, you know what? It's time for the greatest law firm the world has ever seen, Braun and Bronton.

raise their hands in triumph. And now, you said it when we were watching that earlier. You said Seth still got the title. Yeah, I mean, he got to come back to work. For sure.

It's just, there's so many questions now. Does he regroup? Does he regroup and get somebody to go against this new wave? And in the time that you've created the vision and now the vision has kicked you out, I'll edge with the judgment day. Right.

So daily damage control. Yeah, it makes me wonder: did you make too many enemies on your way? On your way to make this vision, where when it is time for you to regroup, does everybody look at you sideways? It's just like, nah, you was just popping cash money. Just a second ago.

So, you know, you're put into A bit of a microcosm and a microwave version of what Roman had to go through after the bloodline was done. Who you gonna go to, bruh? Ye ain't got nobody. Nobody, baby. No home.

So, are we putting into a position where it's vacated and? What's really being lost in the sauce of all this is CM Punk is the number one contender. Talk about that. He won the what is it? Triple threat?

And my goodness, CM Punk, Phil Brooks, number one contender, and then you get this malarkey. These shenanigans?

Come on, our boy Bernie Dominic Mysterio. Wrestling IQ. I don't even want to, if you haven't seen it, I don't want to tell you what Dom does, but he pulls some real, his real dad, Eddie Guerrero type-ish in this match against Penta. Yeah. Yeah.

Just check that out. Make sure dirty Dom, you know, he's doing his thing. He's the greatest Mysterio of all time. He's the greatest Luchador of all time. He's the greatest mullet of all time.

He's the greatest mustache of all time. He's the best tattoos of all time. I'm a Burt Reynolds-Tom Southern fan. True. But I mean, you're going to tell Dom they have a better mustache than him?

In wrestling, he got the best. All right. Well, I'm just saying. If he was here, would you say, Dom, you ain't got the best mustache? No, no, no.

You're going to respect Bert. Yeah. So let's play, bro. And then we had, you know, Asuka. I've always said they'll never make me boo Asuka, right?

They'll never make me go against her. But they're doing their best to really pull on my heartstrings. First, you got her making EO cry. You know I feel about that. EO!

Yeah. And now you see Kyrie, and Kyrie gets five fingers to the face from Asuka after her match with Rhea. Continuing to see where this is going. Oscar's a bully. Osuka's a bully.

But guess what? You can't do nothing about it. What are you going to do about it? You can't beat her thing.

So, what are you going to do? And then last week, and then we had man. Let me tell you. We had a little uh face-to-face uh I will walk off this seven. I will walk off this set right now.

And it was. The new women's champion, the crown jewel champion, Stephanie Bequerre, La Primera, the Devil's Kiss. And she's talking her talk as she should because she's had an historic run this last few months. But then out comes the Judgment Day. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne by God Perez.

And they come out, and Roxanne kind of gets up in their face and was like, Basically, everything you got should have been mine. I'm the last one to beat EO. That means I should have been at WrestlePalooza, which means I would have won that women's championship. And then I should have the women's crown jewel belt.

So, and Stephanie's telling her, basically, if you want some, come get some, more or less. Awesome. You know what I mean?

So it's going to be interesting, but Roxanne being, you know, the young veteran that she is. You know, she's another one, young, but been in the game for years. She said on my time. Yeah, on my time when I'm ready. And I love it.

I love it. That judgment day, man, that has been. Like after the new day, Both days. But could we be no contest day then, maybe? We need that.

I mean Rusev Day came back. Come on. But uh yeah, Judgment Day just been the most consistent stable in the WWE.

Now they got their their Women tandem. Of Raquel and Roxanne. I'm not going to say the tag team name that you tried to coin for the. I'll say it. I don't care.

The hard Rs. Roxanne Rocketo. The hard R's. It's the only time we ever use hard R's here.

Okay, we usually go A. Never go hard at the yard. The hard artist. Do not let that catch all please. Rock's in.

Rock out. I get you, bro. How did we get? Yeah. That's crazy.

Anyway, so yeah. The hard hearts. Yeah, they're uh they're Ev anytime they're on T V, obviously TJ's paying attention. But You're going against Stephanie Vacare. She's no joke.

No laughing matter. No, if there's a game, it wouldn't be Stephanie. She is a game. She don't do it for fun. But Roxanne knows her way around that square circle, and that will be a very interesting little feud brewing right then for today.

And all the feuds that are going to come with Stephanie's champion, because she's, I don't see her giving this title up for a long time. Yeah, no, no, no. Strap in, get comfortable, because this is going to be a run by Miss Vicerre, as we predicted a few months ago here. Yeah. No contest wrestling project.

What else went down? What else went down? I mean, that was the big story. Oh, I do. I do, you know, speaking of tag team names.

I saw that next week. The Judgment Day will be putting up their tag team titles against AJ Lee. A AJ Lee.

So AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. AJ Styles and Dragon Lead. We're going for the tag team, Tiles. And it said AJ Lee. Cause it was AJ slash Lee, and I was like.

Okay. That's hilarious. That's interesting. Yeah, so shout out to AJ Lee, the men's tag team. Let's talk about this weekend, man.

It was early. It was early. We're talking 5 a.m. here on the Pacific side of things. Crown Jewel Perth.

Uh specifically Pacific. Specifically, yeah. S P and then P. Specifically Pacific, Don. Say that five times, you can't.

Let's just talk about the big thing. Pause. John Cena. Defeated. That was crazy.

In a match that we don't give stars here. But I got to make an exception. We got to give it all the stars, man. That's right. We got to give this match.

You a few minutes ago said the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and sometimes they got to listen. And what a perfect! Perfect. Way to lead up to this shay because the people spoke, the people spoke. The office listened and they gave us AJ.

Versus Cena, one last time. And let me tell you, these men they did not disappoint. Man, it started with AJ coming back in his old TNA shorts gear. You've never seen him in shorts in WWE. Not those hamstrings.

No, no. And by the way, I will say this too: AJ is, I haven't made this list. I made it years ago, but I have to update it. He's definitely in my top five ring gear. Like AJ's gear is always with the the gloves matching the the different tights and I'm still thinking about that lowrider gear he had when he faced Dom.

Yes. Come on now.

So, yeah, his gear is always on point, but we've never seen the biker short AJ Styles, you know, from the TNA days.

So, that was cool to kind of see him come out like that. to have John come out one last time in Australia and have The fans kind of lose their mind. They see our boy Stu. It's gonna work, Stu. He had one last chop it up with Stu in Perth before he made his run to the ring.

And real quick, something I've noticed. You know, John always comes out with the towel, right? Normally, he was always throwing the towels in the ring to the crowd. Lately, the last few months, I've noticed he shows the towel and drops it. Yeah.

So I'm wondering if that's something like he's collecting these towels out there. He's gotta be donating them. I can see him maybe donating them and maybe auctioning them off for charity because that seems like a very John Cena thing to do. But if you know this and you pay it, By the way, if you haven't noticed by now, you ain't got much time left to notice. But he holds the towel up, he'll tell Stu, let's go to work, and then instead of throwing in the crowd, he drops him.

So I just kind of wonder why that is and if there is a reason for him to. We'd love to ask you, John. Or we'd love to ask Stu, either one. But John, more specifically. I'd love to ask you, John.

You know, but um Yeah, this match was. First of all, you had the introduction that John wrote. For AJ Styles. I was just about to say, amazing. When you were bringing up him donating the towels, you said that's a very John Cena thing to do.

And that right there. A very John Cena thing to do is why he has made such an impact on so many people in the ring, out of the ring, and in the crowd. Because that is a classic. Class act right there. He gave, because we know AJ's pretty much come out and said next year is his last run.

And John really gave him his flowers. He wrote an intro. For him, that you could tell AJ didn't even know what was coming when he the bullet club, you know, like everything he said was just. It was on point and it was. very fitting of AJ Styles for AJ Styles, man.

So That right off the bat just kind of got you kind of going. Where were you, bro? I'm not crying. No. Somebody cutting onions in here.

I'm gonna tell you, and I'm gonna be very honest with you though.

Well as we get to it, there was a point in this match. that I paused in Yes. This match, to me, was an Owed a love letter to professional wrestling. I think it's the best way to describe it. Very few people have.

Kind of Said they didn't like the match because what about all the kickouts? Look, man, if that is your takeaway. from this then You're just someone who doesn't want to complain about anything, man, because what these guys did. Like I said, a love letter to The business that made them rich and famous, a love letter to the fans. A love letter to Two extraordinary, unbelievable careers.

And the fact that That all of the nods that they gave to the various wrestlers that they crossed paths with. In these careers. It was, it was, it was amazing, man. It really was. This was.

I don't know if this was John Cena's best match. I know it wasn't AJ Styles' best match. But on one hand, man, it kind of was their best batch they ever had. It's like. It felt like You're watching You know somebody in concert And the DJ is mixing in all the hits and just another one.

Just mixing it with another one. You know, just one verse per thing, just, you know, just hitting you with a medley of all the artists' greatest hits. Or it's you go to watch a band play, and then all of a sudden they just start playing cover songs of the greatest band. The Prince is Super Bowl performance. And that's what this, this, this really felt like that.

And I made a list of all of the nods, all of the moves that they use. And I think I got them all. And I'll go through them really quickly. This isn't in order or anything. But what John Cena and AJ Styles did, like I said, they paid tribute to some of the performers.

that help make them the stars that they are.

So we had uh Cena using the Miz's skull-crushing finale on AJ. He used Rusev's accolade. The camel clutch. They broke out the walls of Jericho, Chris Jericho. And people went nuts for that.

And then John using. And I talked about the point about Getting choked up. John using the The sister Abigail, Bray Wyatt's finisher. And him locking AJ in so the crowd knew it was coming. Yeah.

And then he put some extra on it. Hell yeah. I was like, I was like, Bray should have done it like that. And then the fireflies come out. Everybody turns to the Australian crowd.

Yeah, they understood the assignment, man, and they. They turned the phone, the lights on on their phones, man, and it was just like. Seen it took a minute and he paused and he looked around, and you could see him soaking it all in. And I got a little choked up, man, because I'm... You know, I've said this before.

We talked about Nepo babies. how they're necessary in wrestling. When you talk about Bray Wyatt, you have to talk about As a kid, one of the first things I remember as a little kid watching his grandfather, the late, great Black Jack Mulligan, put a claw hold on the man on WWF TV, and he literally squeezed his head so much that his head. Burst it open and he had to put a big red X on the screen. I saw this as a kid.

I'm like, he just. He squeezed this man's head out and popped this man's head. Like, you know, and then you go into his dad, Mike Rotundo, IRS, his uncle. Who is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, as is Mike Rotundo, but Barry Wyndham, to me, one of the most underrated wrestlers. Of all time, his dad and his uncle, and then you know, his brother, of course, Bo Dallas.

Uncle Husky now, or not Uncle Husky, Uncle Howie. I'm sorry. I'm still in the Husky Harris thing because I was a huge Husky Harris fan when he came to NXT and I realized, oh, this is Mike Rotundo's kid. This is Black Jack's grandson. I was all in on Husky Harris.

And then, when that didn't work and he became the Bray Wyatt character, and then, you know, going up to The Fiend, I was always all in on Bray Wyatt.

So, yeah, I got a little. I felt it, man. And you could tell seeing the food. Yeah. So that was shout out to that Australian crowd for.

Hmm. Showing props. Yeah, it was a beautiful moment. I thought he was going for a rock bottom. When he caught him, I was like, oh, rock.

Oh, Sister Abigail, and being the professional that he is. He made sure it was locked in long enough. Hardcam got it. handled it Perfectly kissed on the forehead. And then when John got up.

And he saw that Perth crowd. Put the fireflies out. Whoever the first phone was that was up, 'cause I know you're somewhere like that was me. But, like the way to understand the assignment, what a beautiful. moment that we didn't know that we all needed to see.

And it was just cool, man. Like, there's no way around it. Shout out to Jojo, because I'm sure she's seen it at least 100 times more. And like it's um man, John, what a what a Beautiful bit of class once again. Absolutely.

And that is. Is that what we are looking for these last couple of dates? And I'm perfectly fine with that. That's exciting to see because John Cena has gone up against all of them. Yeah.

All of them. Taker got a shout out. Yeah. And to continue, we had the second rope, the DDT and RKO. Shout out to Randall K, Randy Orton.

The choke slam, that could be Big Show, Undertaker, or Kane. He won his first ever title. By beating Big Show, if you recall, for the United States Championship of WrestleMania. Which is the John Cena title in my eyes. There you go.

The Tombstone Pile Driver, obviously, the node to the nod to the taker. And then with AJ, he did Stings, Scorpion, Death Drop. The Cokina Clutch, Samoa Joe's Cokina Clutch. Christopher Daniels Angel Rings picks him up and drops them on his head. Frankie Kazarian.

Frankie Kazarian's Fade to Black, where you just, he's on his back and he just drops him on his head. You know, he did some sweet chin music slashes super kick, which, of course, Shawn Michaels, but also Cowboy James Storm used the super kick in TNA. It's actually, he won the TNA World Title beating Kurt Engel using the super kick. You know, so yeah, man, just the nod that they gave to all these guys. We almost got the six on nine.

Yeah. You know, the man's a chair. The crowd, bro. The crowd won the day. It was, it was just fun, man.

This was a fun wrestling match. And, and, you know, of course, there were haters I saw in some comments who were like, oh, you'll forget about it. Nah, this is one of those matches, Joe, where I feel like we're going to remember this for a long time. Yeah, and it uh it's how A match like that should have went. There were moments during um I forget what.

What it was, but you got that perf crowd chanting for certain people that they want back. Especially after the show is that's what I'm saying.

So, you know, the vacuum, I know you're thinking, I know the gears are turning. I, for the first time, during this run. I am very excited to see the next couple of John Cena matches.

Well, that's it. You only got it for, man. And I put this on Twitter, and I said, obviously, like, this isn't going to happen. But if I'm John Cena. That's a rap.

A lot of people got shook up. By that, but that's that Japanese strong style. Those Japanese Japanese women beat the living crap out of each other, man. And so I think that's why Kyrie be taking all them slaps from Asuka's straight face. Because she's used to it.

Yeah. You know, so I. There was a lot of that going on in this match. Asuka got hit, though, with a missile drop kick. From EO, like right in the face.

And it was just like. Whenever they tell you there's no risk, you show them that click. She got it. Don't ever tell me this is the F-word. You can say scripted.

And that was a little bit about the Bronson Reed thing, too. That was Bronson's first PLE back at home. We've seen him on Twitter and other social media outlets. Watching uh Elimination Chamber, watching all these PLEs in Australia that he couldn't be a part of, and I think it was last year, he was like, you know, maybe next year, or like it was just something of that, and so you have to have a uh A moment for those Who are from Australia? So, when I saw that Roman Reigns was going one-on-one against one of my, you know, Grayson Waller being the other one, one of the Vegemite villains, one of the Tim Tim tyrants. But um, yeah, the same thing with Rhea. Rhea run that place, yes, when it comes to Australian wrestling, like Rhea is. The end-all, be-all.

And then, so let's talk about the crown jewel championship matches. First up, we had Stephanie Vacare, friend of the show, against Tiffany Stratton, friend of the show. Think about that. We've had both women's world champions as guess or no contest. I mean.

What are you gonna do? There is no concept. What are you gonna do? But yeah, man, Stephanie Vacare just continued her. Dominance.

Dominance, her incredible rise. I don't want to say rise because she's been wrestling for over a decade in this mainstream WWE. Universe like Are we still in her debut year?

Well, I think it's been about 15 months from NXT to now, I think.

So still her debut on the main roster. I mean, like, every time I see her, she got two belts on. Stephanie. Yeah, yeah.

That's the only way she knows. She got two shoulders. She got to put something on. I'm like, my goodness. You know, so yeah, Tiffany against Stephanie.

I got to be honest with you, I did think that Tiffany was going to get this win. I don't, yeah, just. I don't know what ma made me lean that way. I just kind of thought that. They give it to Tiffany.

I feel like last year was. Last year's crown jewel was the blondes taking it home with Cody and Liv. I felt like Black Hair has had it this year. And Stephanie showed, you know, why she is La Primera, you know, she is just a beast. And but Tiffany held her own too.

There was a lot of Times during the match, where I was like, okay, that's the Tiffy I remember from NXT. Just like the moveset and, you know, how crisp she's moving in the ring.

So it's, it's. It is Nothing against you. To take an L to Stephanie Victor. It's Stephanie Vicerre. Yeah.

And also, Stephanie McCarr, of course. Huge fan favorite right now, but there were moments in that match where she looked a little dark, got a little dark. I think That The Stephanie Vacare as a hail is probably going to be on another level. Because I'm sure they're going to milk this babyface thing for all they can. But when you look at her with the horns, the devil's kiss, some of her moves said, like that dragon screw is that dragon screw is nasty.

That's a mean move. Yeah, so she's a heel move. You can tell she definitely has it in her. To get a little vicious, and I think ultimately you will. I won't see it.

You will, but I don't think you're going to see it anytime soon. But once again, with Jay turned, looks like he's turning. You just never know. But there's a hill in there in Stephanie, and if that hill comes out, good luck. She's one of those, like, even if she does go here, bro, we still gonna cheer.

Yeah, I ain't gonna be. One of them anti-hero type situations where it's just like, hey, leave that woman alone. You can build if you want. I'm not, I'm not booing her. I ain't.

So, and no contest. And then we had the men's crown jewel championship, Seth Rollins against Cody Rhodes. And it was about time. Like, Seth did the job for Cody at Cody's comeback at WrestleMania. He did the job for him at Hell in the Cell, where Cody had torn his peck off his chest.

You know, I think they say in total house shows over 22, 23.

So it was time. For Seth Rollins. That's your one. He had to. Seth Rollins is obviously, he's your world champion.

He is one of the faces of the company. He is one of the best in the planet Earth at wrestling. He needed to get this dub, and he had to do it without the vision. And we saw. Today, how that turned out for him.

Can I get a wah wah but uh But he needed that, you know, and of course, you had to imagine when the watch. Came out like I haven't worn the watch and now I have the watch. And then he wore the watch to the ring. It would come into play and it did. You know, it was this his one cheating moment where, and he really did when you look, Cody's bleeding out of his mouth at the end.

So he really caught the rollie in the lips. And that's another bit of storytelling I want to speak about because I. I watch What Do You Want to Talk About? Cody's pod that he has on his bus. And I saw the Becky Lynch episode, and he genuinely asked, Do he even wear that watch?

Becky's like, no, he has it more than one. Yeah, but like. It's just such that was Whether that was real life happening and then they were like, oh, we can use that, or they planted that seed from the beginning. That's the thing, you're never gonna know. Either way, that is how you do it.

That right there. And it just puts so much. It's just a little, even if you didn't see the podcast, those who did see, know that little bit of extra on top. And that right there was just it was fun to see because it it means it makes that moment so much bigger. And that's uh if you're watching all the the media that they put out around it.

But uh yeah, I just wanted to give a nod to using the watch. Yeah, Chef's kiss, man. And Seth pulled it out at a time where the match still could go either way. So it's always, you know, kind of wow when Cody loses. His position is pretty solid. You know, a loss isn't going to hurt him at this point, especially when he lost by someone who cheated. And, you know, I don't see. him losing that title anytime soon unless You know so some guy the guy from comes down from Canada And uh The guy who moved up to Canada and decides to come back down after beating up John Cena, unless he decides he wants it.

But where does Brock? Keep forgetting about him. I don't know how. It keeps me up at night. Keith, oh, my goodness.

But how does Brock Lesnar fit into all this? What happens with the vision going forward? What happens with Seth Rollins? I mean, this is why we continue to keep watching, man, because there's stakes now.

The world is the royster, or at least the TNA championships. And also, once the shot is called, does the other one get to use their shot? That's a good question. I mean, are they linked? Is everything a triple threat?

We're going to have to, you know, we're going to have to have Santino on the show at some point to really break this down for us to see how this works. Then we got Kalani Jordan, the new TNA knockouts champion. She retained, defeated Indy Hartwell. The system defeated Order 4. Leon Slater.

I saw stuff in this match. I I d Not since Ricochet and Osprey. Have I seen Some of the stuff that these two young brothers was pouring out yesterday, yeah, and Or Saturday, I guess it was. Or was it yesterday? I don't get my date.

And then lastly, what we had the last two matches, man, I guess this was one final table match. For all the old school fans, I'm not cutting no more onions in here, bro. The Hardys, the TNA and NXT Tag Team Champions, taking on Team 3D. Bubba Ray, Bully Ray, and Devon, the Dudley Boys, for I guess the title of. Greatest tag team of all time.

And Just Nostalgic is what this one was, bro. Uh, you know, we had ladders, we had tables, and at the end. The Hardys retain both tag team championships. And and the sign that usually signifies that this is the end. Bubba, Devon both take their boots off.

And you usually leave them in the ring if that's a rap, but they took their boots off and they handed them to Matt and Jeff Hardy. As I guess, as a nod to this is it, as a nod to you guys are the greatest. As a nod to We're not doing this anymore. But that was a moment, you know, you know. you know, Bubba Ray, Bully Ray, however you want to call him.

He's, you know, the big Strong, tough guy on LFG and on his podcast, but you literally saw this big, tough man kind of break down when he. Handed those boots over and shout out to Devon for getting himself right so he can come and get, you know. Is this the last time it kind of seems like it is? And they went out with a team that they truly made history with. Yeah.

Wrestling brother 17. Yeah, man.

And when you go to battle with somebody like that all those years ago, you become linked. Fans' minds and in their mind because they trusted these guys, they trusted each other with their lives. for many years.

So it was just a Warm Pretty dope moment just to kind of see that. And when The slow turnaround. from Bubba slash bully to see Matt and Jeff. And you know, he's he knows he's going through that table. And A little bit of a Shawn Michaels Ric Flair moment.

Of just like sorry. You know, that I'm sorry. Put him through the table, help him up. It was such a moment where not only are we watching. Four of the greatest, you know, two of the greatest tag teams ever.

But I felt my childhood saying bye to me, kind of, right? You know, like, kind of felt like, dang, you know, and. Bubba putting out the the tweet of the end. We gotta have them on because I gotta know what your emotions are when it's like that. You know, you've done matches, you've done over a thousand matches, dude.

You've smelled that air over a thousand, over a million times, whatever. But when you know it's your last When you You get to Choose who is going to take you out to pasture, to use a mean ass term. But I need to know what that day was like for him. And the guys over at Devon, yeah. The guys over at Busted Open, you know, they've been my dudes.

Shout out to David Lagreca. But yeah, we got to get him in. We got to get Devon in. I need to know what that morning was, what that evening was, and then. How they feel that night and the next morning.

But I couldn't find a better way. Um Obviously, in a in a situation like that. Everybody's thinking about. Edging Christian. What it would be like if we had one more triple threat with those tag teams.

But Different paths lead you to different places, and we all know why that couldn't happen. But we think Christian and Cope. Back together again, yeah, yeah. But we know why that triple threat couldn't have happened, yeah, yeah, and. How this went down.

I don't think I would want the triple threat because it felt so special last night. That like That's how the the Dudleys deserve to go out. Everybody, anybody who knows me or who has followed me for a long time knows how highly Um I think of the Dudleys, I I was a Dudley fan. A little bit over the Hardys because I felt like when the Dudleys came out, you got to be nervous, bro, because they're crazy. They're nuts, dude.

Whether you be an old woman or you got a title belt, oh, it did not matter. You better watch out for them Dudleys through a table no matter what. Yeah, the Hardys is just good dudes who like jump off stuff. The Dudleys, they're a little off. Yeah.

All right. Also, shout out to Spike. Yeah, he showed up. Sean, Spike. Shout out to everyone who made their Hall of Fame, by the way.

Great dude. Incredible performer. It's been so amazing watching his ascent because, as I told you before, many years ago, when I first saw him play in the heavy for Carmelo Hayes, I was like, that dude there. Got something. And he definitely has shown that.

And then you got Mike Santana, who, let's be honest, my dog. First class. AJ Francis and KC Navarre, they were about to maybe rough you off a little bit when we were at a TNA show. Mike Santana came down and saved you.

So I know you got love from Mike Santana. And then his story. You know, the redemption story. Was so powerful and so strong, man. And he and Trick Williams, they they battled.

They battled and at the end. Mike Santana gets his first ever world champion. First Puerto Rican TNA champion. The first Puerto Rican TNA world champion. He brings his daughter.

To the ring and presents her with blood and tears in his eyes, and hands his daughter the belt and bows at her feet. Man, I don't have any kids. You do. You have a daughter. I thought about you in that moment and I was like, man, like.

what that must mean. K-Fabe or not, what that must mean. And I'll turn it over to you because you can explain it better than me. What must have been going through Mike Santana's mind, even though someone's gonna go, it was written, whatever, man. That was real.

That was a real moment. That was real emotion right there. I've been doing movies. Um Since my daughter was born, my daughter's eight years old. My career is ten years old.

And I do some pretty suggestive films, so she hasn't really seen any of them. But I remember her going to go see Wicked. And When she was in the theater walk into the theater to go see Wicked. Is a poster of Dennett Thieves 2 in the movie theater. And She was with her other side of the family and they said that she wanted to stop.

and tell them I want to take a picture.

Next to my daddy's poster. Oh man. And when I tell you. The boo hoo that I let out. It was such a crazy feeling to like She's proud of it.

And like I'm proud of her for everything.

So, when you have those moments of like, yo, your little girl is proud of you. All every that you've either had to miss or Everything that you do. For her and everything that you don't do For her. Coming to just a little bit of fluition right then and there. And for Mike.

I could only imagine being as exhausted as he was. going from promotion to promotion. Feeling like he finally found a home. Breaking out of that tag team wrestler. Yeah, true.

Like, because that's hard to do. Yeah. That's hard to do to find your own when you're in a tag team that people recognize you for. And so for him to finally get it done. And her to be there.

Also, slapped the taste out of Trick's mouth so she gets to hold that for a little bit. She did. But I could only imagine. You know, the the real emotion that comes out. In a moment like that, and also for the naysayers who have something to say about, well, you know, he knew he was going to win going in, and yada yada, we know what we're looking at.

But It also is an accomplishment and an achievement when a company looks at the work that you put in. It says that we want you. To be the face. That runs the place to be the guy who we look at as the leader. When they ask us who our best is, we chose you.

That says something. That is Mike Santana. We can't wait to have you on the show. Tommy, you Tommy Dreamer, expect the call because it's coming. Cause I gotta talk to him.

He is the new. TNA champion. Yeah, congrats to Mike Santana and congrats to Trick Willie, man. Because boy, I didn't even think you were going to hold that belt. You held that for so long.

Shout out to Trick Willie for doing something that no one else has ever done. Before, and now it's going to be interesting to see where he goes from here. Sky's the limit, and I don't think it's a limit, you know. Yeah, and sky's the beginning to quote Michael Jackson, which really is one of the hardest lines ever. When he said They say the sky's the limit, and for some it's really true.

Going to be interesting to see how that affects the Don Callis family and him and Okada, you know, because they've already got like, you know, Okada's got like the big brother on him. Can we tell you, brother, Don Callis, is this the new NWO? Everybody is in it. My God. Are you in it?

I might be. I mean, my goodness, dude. Let me tell you, they got somebody for everyone in the Donald. Don Calla. He's going to couch all them people at one time, bro.

He has to watch his back. Who Dawn does? Yeah, it's a little shaky all the time. He got 30 members. That's right.

That's why he feels comfortable. He feels comfortable. He feels safe. He got some of the best wrestling in AEW. Tony, do something.

But before we go to one last thing, you mentioned the smashing machine. You kind of just said that. I saw that last week, and I gotta say, big ups to the rock. You know what I mean?

I thoroughly, and of course, the story of Mark Kerr might be a little niche. For some people who never saw the Smashing Machine documentary or who aren't UFC fans. But if you're a fan of storytelling, If you're a fan of just Great acting. And I'm going to say it: The Rock did a tremendous job. He completely lost himself.

In this role of Mark Kerr to the point where, Shay, there was only about three times during that movie, I was like, oh, yeah, that's Rocky. Because the makeup was so good. He changed his voice, his mannerisms. Mark Kerr was just this big, strong monster of a man who really was soft. And I don't mean soft in the bad way, but just a good heart didn't really necessarily want to hurt people, but that's what he was good at.

And that's what he was able to do. Yeah, and that's what the job called for. Emily Blunt. Tremendous job playing his wife. She's incredible.

Ryan Bader played Mark Coleman, and that was the only time because that took me out a little bit because Ryan Bader, who's not an actor, who is a professional fighter. Did a great job playing Mark Coleman, but the whole time I'm like, that's Bader.

So I couldn't get that out of my head. But shout out to him. He did a great job playing Mark Coleman. This was. Uh People say that it didn't do as much box office.

Awesome. Never do that. Yeah, 824 does great films. They do great stories. And this was it, man.

If you're a fan of The Rock, Or Mark Kerr or UFC, or just you just want to watch a kind of a feel-good story. That has some tragedy and some ups and downs in it. I'd say, you know, check out Smashing Machine if you can, especially if you're a fan of. Dwayne Johnson, because a lot of people say he he only acts as Dwayne Johnson.

Well, that's you're when you're a movie star, people that's people pay to see you. Exactly. This time he he lost himself in this role. I thought he was tremendous as Mark Kerr. Big ups to you, Rock.

Dwayne, you did your thing, and I I think people really are missing out if they don't go check out his performance in this movie. You know what? Let me get this one. Come on the show, man. We want to talk to you.

So I'm always Undertaker because that's the safest bet for the little runner to play with. You're going to be all right if you pick Taker. Just pick Taker. And yeah, that's when I got introduced to Sean. It's kind of the same route, it was just seeing my older brother.

Won't pick nobody else. It's gonna be Sean Michaels. He's gonna get a bat from outside the ring. It's about to go down.

So that man, absolutely, bro. Power video games, man. I'll never, I'll never put them down. Mm-hmm. I got a question, and this is really gonna show my age.

Y'all probably already know. What's second Genesis? I don't know what that is, bro. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Javon Evans, bro. Hey, hold on, wait, wait, hold on.

Let me tell you something, I get about 50 different comments a day over the last five days over Java and Evans now, literally everybody now feels like Methuselah. Everybody feels old. It was just one of those moments you forget, man.

And then a lot of people, I know, I had about four people specifically DM me, like, hey, what's your favorite video game? And here's the deal, man. That's not really my lane. You know, I'm like LeVar Ball.

I stay in my lane. That's not my area of expertise. But, you know, it is somebody's area of expertise.

Well, It's about to get real controversial in here. All right, number first of all Let me just give an honorable mention. I'm doing my top five wrestling video games here.

So, right now, I gotta start off with an honorable mention because you're gonna have a lot of people saying that's not really a wrestling game, but if you played the game, Pretty much a wrestling game, and that is. Def Jam Vendetta. Oh, I do remember that. Def Jam Vendetta gotta be in my honorable mentions. We all know the internet and how much we've been hammering to get a game like this again, but.

You know, people don't know how to handle their beefs nowadays in hip-hop, so I don't know if it's going to be great to necessarily have a fighting game anymore. But here we are, Dev Jan Vendetta, my honorable mention. But let's get to the list.

Now, number five, I have to put this at on my top five because it was the game that introduced me into wrestling. I've told this story a few times on a few different shows, and that is WWF Raw. the Sega Genesis. The Sega Genesis. Not the second Genesis?

No, man. And it, um, It was the game that introduced me to wrestling. It introduced me to people like Bam Bam Bigelow, Door the Clown, Reisor Ramon. It's definitely a key part of my heart and my wrestling lore. Number four.

Now, this is controversial for my own self because it definitely could have been number three. But number four, I'm going to go with. WCW NWO Revenge.

Now. This, I was a big Goldberg fan.

Okay. So this was the first time I got to play with Goldberg in the game. I didn't want to be nobody else. Ultimate Dragon a few times.

Okay. Come on, man. All right. Come on, man. I know you got downloaded.

Yeah, you know. And then also, if you play the game, you know the Akai and the THQ men. Fire anyway, so WCW versus NWO Revenge. I think Goldberg was also on WCW Thunder first. I got to see when those came out, but this is the best one: WCW, NWO Revenge.

Number three, you knew it was coming. WWF No Mercy Nintendo 64. And that game was the first game where I felt like this is hard. Like hard, like this is tough. This is tough to play.

And, you know, no mercy. Anybody who's played wrestling video games knows that this has to be a staple on everybody's list.

So you knew that it was going to be online. And here's where the controversy starts. Because number two I got WWE 2K19.

Now Some people got their favorite 2Ks whenever, no matter what, whether it's basketball or anything that has 2K on it, you're going to get people debating what was the best one, what year, and yada, yada, yada. But 2K was the last time where I really felt like I had real. Real customizable options on my creator wrestler. It was the most fun I had had with a wrestling video game in a long time. And so 2K19, you know, and I'm gonna be mad if I'm mistaken, but that's the one with AJ Styles on the cover.

That, man, I had such a good time playing that game and I missed that game. We all know what happened later on with 2K20 and how it was unplayable and yada yada. But 19, man, I was really having a ball. Bring back the. The creation of it all, 2K, please, because you've been taking away that creator wrestler and all the little details that we can do.

And it's like, come on, man, we're a community of creators.

So, wait, they don't have creative wrestler? No, they do, but it's just like certain things that make it where it's so. Template-based or preset-based that, like, there's it doesn't a lot of things start looking the same or just looking like different versions of other things. Shout out to our people at 2K. Yeah, shout out to our people at 2K.

We just want to create, man. That's all we're trying to do, baby. And number one. Bro. This game had so many mechanics in it that I just don't understand why we took some of them away.

Smack down, here comes the pain. When I say you could jump off everything, the spots you could do in this game were. They should be dead, TJ. Like, there's just certain times where you're like, yeah, he's dead. Like, there's no way he's coming back from that.

I'm talking, you want to be electrocuted, you want to jump off the fist, you want to do like anything you could imagine was basically you were able to do. And like, even some of the mechanics, as far as. Throwing wrestlers into objects. It just had everything. Like, I can't remember a single match I had with friends that stayed in the ring.

Like, we're going to the back. It's just how it is, dude. Smackdown, here comes the pain, and that. With all controversy attached, I'm waiting for all the mentions and all the comments. Oh, how come you didn't have such and such?

Yeah, this is my top five, bro. It's not saying that I don't think those games are fun. I'm just saying, my top five, put me on an island, only gave me five wrestling games to play. With an honorable mention? I'd have a good time with my list in that TJ.
