This episode is presented by State Farm. Having insurance isn't the same as having state farm. It's like expecting the leadership of a team captain on the football field, but getting a C captain. You wouldn't settle for just anything for your team. Shouldn't it be the same for your insurance?
So, don't settle for just any insurance when you can go with a leader. State Farm. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. United Healthcare nurse Crystal checked in on a patient. We do a routine call after surgery, and I could tell in her voice that she was struggling.
Crystal knew she needed help. And I knew that this is very serious. This is like septic. This is life-threatening. And she knew just what to do.
And I called the hospital and said she's coming in, here are her labs. And got her the help she needed. I see my role at United Healthcare as a life-saving role. Hear more stories like crystals at UHC.com. Benefits, features, and/or devices vary by plant area.

Good to see you over there, Christopher Brock. Good to see you, Rich. What's up, man? TJ Mikey D isn't D'snuts. Mikey.
I have a doubleheader today, which is great. Good to see you, TJ Jefferson. TJ Jefferson, how are you, sir? Good to see you. And someone who once dislocated his kneecap?
Oh, no. Did you? I feel for the cheat.
Well, let's start with that, sir, because Tyreek Hill, one of the best that we've seen at his position since he started playing professional football. Might not play professional football ever again. I mean, it's just that simple. The guy's 31 and he's currently in a hospital bed with possible more surgery to come on a dislocated knee. Adam Schefter reporting that.
You know, multiple ligaments got torn up in his knee. It's a dislocated knee. That sounds terrible. It looked terrible. His smile on his face totally belied whatever must have been going.
uh on in his knee as he was being carted off Last night, Drew Rosenhaus's agent is talking about how the Uh doctors and surgeons are are looking at blood flow, possible nerve damage. They're making sure that And um you know My colleague at NFL Network, NFL Media Group, Rap Sheet. Uh Ian is reporting that That his 2026 season is potentially in jeopardy. And so, if he comes back at age 33 on this knee, you know, listen, he's such a physical force of nature that if anybody could come back and look like. the Tyreek Hill slash cheetah that we've all known.
after all of this at age 33 and use it as a chip on his shoulder. Um Makes sense. It makes complete sense. And in this world of where you can't make it up, Right. As Cheeto waves goodbye on a golf cart, to the Hard rock.
Dolphin Fan base. In steps a guy. who we haven't seen play football, In forever in a day in Darren Waller. who we all know unretired. this offseason.
And after retiring from the Giants the year before, and decides he wants to play football again, This guy, who we all know, came into the league as a talented. kid in Baltimore had substance abuse issues. sat out a year because of it. Then he goes to the Raiders. Our guy, Mike Mayok, decides to give him a flyer.
He turns into such a. force of his own nature. that he gets paid significantly Winds up getting traded to the Giants, where things begin to fall apart for him. He decides to retire and start rapping, and he decides to come back. And In a game in which the Dolphins watch Tyreek Hill get carted off.
Darren Waller plays his first game since the final game of 2023 and comes up with his first two reception games. Touchdown game since week 13 of 2022, also against the Jets, 1,758 days. Apart. And he becomes the first tight end in the Super Bowl era to have multiple receiving touchdowns in his debut for a new team. At 30 or years.
Old or older? Can't make it up. The Dolphins saved their season. They're no longer. Winless.
They are one and three. We'll see how obviously. They move forward without their best offensive player, with all due respect to H. Hand and Tua, and now Darren Waller and Waddle. Got a lot of talented players on that offensive side of the football and the defensive side of the football.
I mean, the Dolphins being one and three is. is a disappointment to say the least. And they still Mm-hmm. You know. Time to run out at the end there.
If there was another minute left on the clock, the Jets had a shot, despite. A gajillion penalties and turnovers of winning that game. Long story short. is we send our best to Tyreek Hill. and the Cheetah, and welcome back, Darren Waller.
in a game where you're you're going into it thinking None of the above. And so there's that. At the same time. as jets slash met fans watching that Couldn't wait for the Bengals and Broncos to start playing football to give them something else to watch. The Bengals and the Broncos play football.
And once again, the Cincinnati Penguins. Fall apart without Joe Burrow.
Now I said here. Jake Browning Is not going to be so. Bad that the season is over. for the Cincinnati Bengals. I pointed out that when Burrow last went down for a significant amount of time in 2023, This kid started seven games, won four of them, went four and three.
And now the Bengals were finally not in an O2 whole. To start a season, they're now 2-0 rather than 0-2. From that base of operations, just being one game over 500 would give him a 10 and 7 season. And thus A possibility of having more than just a lost season, to say the least. Certainly, if Joe Burrow is coming back in the middle of December.
If the three months Time period that we're hearing from everyone in the NFL media for his surgically repaired toe is, in fact, an accurate. amount of time that he would miss. He'd be back in the middle of December. to take on the Ravens who are so banged up. Who might not have Lamar Jackson this weekend?
And they're one and three. They're a game behind the Bengals.
So dare I even say right now that the season is not over. Despite The Cincinnati Bengals, since Joe Barrow went down, scoring just 13 points. over their last two games. And the defense from last year. Showing up.
while they're waiting for the Browning of two years ago to show up. And now suddenly that oh and two Start. That they didn't have at 2-0. has arrived. just in the form of weeks three and four.
Rather than weeks one and two. And Joe Burrow's not walking through that door. And Jake Browning appears to have zero time to throw the football. Zero. The same offensive line that everybody's saying.
Needed improvement for Joe Burrow, and where is that? reinforcement of that very crucial Position group. In front of Joe Burrow. Where is that? Emphasis.
It's not as if they haven't done a thing. It's not as if they've got pikers up front. They just can't block. They can't block. And Chase Brown, who you know I adore.
Doesn't have a single second to breathe. We're not getting any running game of which to speak. And you heard Troy Aikman sum it up last night. That The running game that Burroughs not had a running game, not had any protection up front. Not had a defense.
And it's like Joe, you have two world-class receivers go in football games. And that was the plan. For the Bengals and has been the plan. For the Bengals, for the most part, since Burrow came off the campus with 60 touchdowns in his final season of LSU. And now Burrow's gone.
How's that plan working?
Well, it's gone so well. that Jamar Chase is now going up to his coach in the middle of the game. The H C Cameras catching Jamar Chase going up to him, and you know when receivers Do something like that in situations like these.
Now comes the conversation about how things are falling apart. Jamar Chase In this football game. Guys. This is the way fantasy leagues go down for you. Certainly when you draft him first overall, but this is reality football.
Jamar Chase got targeted five times, five catches, 23 yards. And for an average of 4.6 yards, usually this guy moves chains. not just put you in position to stay on schedule. when he catches the ball. Usually scores touchdowns.
Higgins, three catches, 32 yards. Chase Brown out of the backfield. This is what's supposed to be happening with Jake Browning: let's set up screens, let's set up this stuff. Three catches, 31 yards. The Broncos defense deserves a lot of...
Cap tips and salutes on this sort of thing. But that doesn't Help. The situation. when somebody's going up to Jamar Chase's locker after the game. Tough to say, man.
Honestly, you know, we go out there and we lay eggs sometimes. We're not capitalizing on We're not capitalizing on the downs when we get opportunities. When it's second and Third and one, third and two. We gotta capitalize on those, get the ball moving downfield so we can keep the play going. Do you think there's enough urgency on this team?
Urgency's there, man. It's just, we gotta want it. At the end of the day we gotta want it, you know. Today it didn't look like we wanted it.
Well that doesn't sound very good, does it? Doesn't look like we wanted it.
Okay, Coach Taylor, you're on the clock now with this sort of stuff. He was asked about the exchange. That he had with Jamar Chase. Chase said it was about. Essentially the Series That had just failed.
on offense. It was just specific, compartmentalized to that. What about the coach? Coming off a game like this is is one of my favorite players to deal with, quite frankly. Because he's just competitive.
He just wants to win. And It comes across as emotional, but that's just a captain. That works his tail off. All he wants to do is win the game. All he wants to do is affect the game.
And oftentimes, he feels like if I have the ball in my hand, I can do that, and I don't disagree with him. And we're always looking for ways to get him the ball. Obviously, sometimes for him, he can't see what's going on in the backfield and some of the challenges that we face back there, but I I love Jamar. When I'm done coaching, he will be one of my all-time favorites for the way that he has. How many years has he been here?
Four? A five? Five? for the way that he has uh I wouldn't say matured because he was never immature, but just the way he's become the total pro that you want leading your football team and competing in practice and competing in games. I can't say enough about him and and I'm sure if that interaction was on the side, it just comes from a place where I want to help the team win.
I can help the team win, help me help the team win. I love that about him. Can they um Mm-hmm. Can they go to the store and Get some sandbags and throw them behind the offensive line and start that's how you shore things up a little bit. It might be tough to run through them.
Just for the enforcements. Because that's. Part that's a big part of the problem. A big part of the problem.
Sometimes you saw the Broncos just rushing for and getting there. Yep. And they got home with three once.
Sometime, I mean, Browning threw and then the penalties. As well. I mean, Brownie threw a beautiful ball to T. Higgins on the sideline at one point. That got wiped out.
Here's some good news, though. I'm going to give you the glass half full as you always know that is my. Yes. Default. I love that about you.
Well, I appreciate you saying that, Chris, because I'm not changing. Yeah. Why would you? I only know one speed, as you see, when I run the 40-yard dash, okay? Um.
We marathon, we don't sprint. Obviously, in this week-to-week league, we overreact. It's an overreaction Monday on a Tuesday that's coming up later. The Bengals, as of right now, they're going home, hasn't looked good. It's looked.
Terrible. There's no other way to put it. Me sitting there saying, hey, Jake Browning's got this.
So far. Not a great take. Not a great take. But They're two and two. They're in second place in their division.
You look at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And You look at the say Buffalo Bills. And I only use Buffalo as an example because they're the team that's 4-0, the only undefeated team in the AFC. You look at the charges, you look at that sort of. Echelon.
And normally you'd put the Ravens in that mix. The Ravens are behind him. Can you catch the Steelers? Can you beat the Steelers? Are they more beatable than the other teams that I just mentioned?
I believe so. And I think their path, their good path, as we know, if I'm sitting here and saying, hey, the Patriots at two and two have a shot, nice shot at the playoffs. Um A two and two team is a good, again, base of operations from which to move. Forward.
So They're not 0-4 and they're not 1-3. They're actually just 2-2. Four of their next five are at home. Look at that. And then there's a buy.
Four of their next five are at home, and that you gotta assume is gonna be better. Then the last two games when they're going against Brian Flores blitzing his mind out. And The Denver Broncos defense and Vance Joseph, what we just saw. The problem is Is their next game against Detroit, which usually isn't what we would call a get-right game. No.
It's sometimes a get-lost game. And then they're at Green Bay. That's their one road trip. They're at Green Bay. Where We may find out.
The Packers are a much better team than what we've seen on the road from them the last two weeks, where they're winless like a hockey team 0-1-1.
Okay. Then they got a short week game against Pittsburgh that I would call must-win. I would call him must-win. At that point in time, if they're going to have a season. After that, they're home for the Jets and the Bears.
Teams that, if they go and give this kid some protection up front and get Chase Brown some. Balanced. Balancing Act on offense tight runs. You have the Jim Mora Senior drop? From years ago, Mike, shouldn't have told you to have it ready.
I'm just going to repeat it one more time from here. Season is not over. Proved to be on a hill that I should be getting the hell off of right now. Yeah. Because the defense looks brutal outside of Trey Hendrickson.
Who's going to rush the passer? Other than that, they've looked a little bit green in the middle of the defense as well. Let's give this just a little bit of a beat. Can I give you the glass half empty? I know what you go ahead and say what you text me.
I'd be shocked if they won four games. No, I'll push back on that. Where, if you look at the schedule, Where are the wins? Who can they beat the team that showed up last night? And that can't block anybody and can't defend anybody.
Who do they beat? The Jets can at least score points. Oh, okay. When they're not, you know. Pre-snap procedure penaltying their own heads off.
They at least put the ball in the end zone. Brother. I'm just going to say this. The team that showed up last night is a 4-1 team. I think they're better than the team that showed up last night.
And I think being at home will do wonders. And at some point, Jake Browning is going to have the game that I think they're capable of allowing him to have. How does that sound? But it is kind of brutal to watch right now, not going to lie. For sure.

Jordan Palmer joining us here on The Rich Eisen Show, quarterback consultant, and also a man who Who is crushing it right now with thread performance? We'll talk about that in a second.
Good to see you, Jordan. How are you, sir? Good, sir. I'm doing great. Doing great.
Great to be on.
Well, Jordan, I need you to help a friend out, okay? Yeah. Because, Jordan, I listen to you when you talk. I respect you immensely. I respect your skills.
I respect your knowledge. I just respect you. And so, years ago, when Joe Barrow went down. And Jake Browning comes into A big-time position, you're like, he's got this. Sure enough.
He had it. I mean, four and three looked great.
So when it happened again, I'm like, I know what Jordan told me two years ago. It's the same guy. Different, it's just a different year.
So I went on the show, and I'm like, the season's not over for the Cincinnati Bengals. Two shows later, two weeks later, Jordan. It's not looking too good. My take's not looking too good. I gave the floor to you, as somebody who knows Jake Browning and knows him well, and has coached him up, knows what beats inside and ticks.
What's your opinion of what we've seen the last two weeks? Jordan?
Well, I think this is the NFL. I think it's year-to-year. I think a lot of people picked the Ravens to win it all this year, not to be one and three. And Um, when I look at the game last night, and even going back to the game that he went in and finished in Jacksonville. Um it's the same guys outside.
Uh, but we're seeing issues. I heard what you guys were saying before I came on, you know, looking at the schedule and the O-line and. From my position, what I do, so I consult with guys year-round on an annual basis.
So if they're a starter, I'm doing videos every week on their game tape. And if they're a backup, I do it when they go in. And um I had him last week at Minnesota in a bad game that was hard to watch. I kind of look at a lot of things, but one of the things I like to show guys when true is. When two things were true, how many completions did you have?
So when someone was open, And it doesn't have to be wide open, just somebody who's open and you have time. With your drop and everything, whether it's number one in the progression, you had time to finish your drop, or number three in the progression, you had time to progress. How'd you do on those downs? And in the Minnesota game, he was nine for nine with a touchdown. And last night, he was 13 for 17 in those situations with a drop.
And so for a hundred and something yards. Um When I look at, not that there's not things to clean up for everybody, but I do like to remind. My client, outside of this rare case, I don't really care what Social media or the media thinks. But when you have an opportunity to play well and put the ball in play, how are you doing in that situation? And so that's kind of how I think I judge a guy.
If people are open and we're missing him, Or somebody's open and we're not seeing them because our eyes are in the wrong spot, or we're getting the wrong protection. That's a different thing to solve for. But if anything, I think this is showing. Um, you know, some holes in the game, and also just how spectacular Joe was last year to be able to play in this similar circumstance and be a magician back there to be able to create things that don't exist. As far as moving forward, Um And this is just from being a player and being in the locker room.
I've been on some. I was on a 2-14 team and I was on a 14-2 team and a bunch of others. And um you know you can you can pay attention if you're zach right now you can pay attention to all the noise Or you can sit here and go, we're 1-0 in the division. And We've got a bunch of things to clean up, and we've got four of our next five at home, as you guys pointed out. And one of those is Pittsburgh at home, who's leading the division, who I think in the preseason, everyone would have had at four.
in that division. or three and so Um I think that that's still there. The pathway to the playoffs is winning the division. And I think that's what the the concerns are and they have a ton of stuff to clean up as do The Chiefs and the Ravens and some other teams that were highly touted coming into the year.
Well, I'm glad you transitioned to the forward part, because that's where I was going to go next, and I'll still ask it. Because what you're saying about, hey, with time to drop and go through a progression, he's been terrific. That's the sort of stuff that coaches see on film, unless. they're hearing too much. or they're concerned about um the way the season is going regardless.
And might make a move for, say, somebody like Kirk Cousins, Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson. These are names over the next month that we're going to be hearing quite a bit about. for teams that might Be concerned about their quarterback spot. Do you think that any of those guys would be a fit? And I know we're talking about your client here, but do you think any of those guys would be a fit in Cincinnati or just stay the course here?
Jordan. What does it look like, and what are the stats when given an opportunity to succeed?
Now, I know this is football, right? The best team in the league, Josh Allen doesn't get to drop back and somebody's open and no one comes, right? There's the defense rushes. I'm not sitting here saying, well, if they just had a perfect O-line and blocked every play, it'd be better.
Well, of course, but that doesn't exist. Right. But no, I think that you need to start looking at Replacing a player when they're given an opportunity to succeed and don't consistently. Whether that's a right guard, a quarterback, or a punter watching last night, to be honest. And so if I'm giving you an opportunity to succeed and you're not.
That's when I think you put a backup in or you trade for somebody, whatever the position is. And I think that's just football. That's not even like the Bengals. That's just. general over generalization.
But again, you look at it and you go. All right, so I do my math. Whatever that is, 24 for 26 or whatever, you know what I mean? It's pretty close to like playing good football.
Okay, when given an opportunity.
Now, if you say that we need somebody to be able to juke four dudes and hurdle somebody and get out of bounds, then yeah, maybe you should try and trade for somebody who can do that, which is not available. But I think you need to start looking at addressing replacing a player. Um when they've been given an opportunity to succeed and they're consistently not. And I bet behind closed doors or on air, if you asked 10 really good head coaches that, they'd probably say some version of that sentence. Jordan Palmer here on The Rich Heisen Show.
What has Josh Allen gotten?
so much better at than when you first found him. In Buffalo, that even makes you sit back and be impressed, knowing how impressive this kid's skill set and physical skill set is. Jordan. Well, I mean, I don't, I'm not, I'm not like blown away by plays that he makes anymore. I've just been, I'm like one of the only people who's been watching him since he was a sophomore in college.
So, you know, he juked two dudes the other day. In New Orleans, and I mean, I reposted it, but I'm not sitting here going, wow, because I've seen it a million times. I'm really impressed. Excuse me, with his just pursuit at getting better. And I know that sounds like cliche, like who's not trying to get better.
But I can just tell you, not everybody is willing to honestly look at what they're not very good at. And then just spend whatever amount of time, effort, energy, and resources it takes to get better at it. And so if I were, if you were to. If the follow-up question is, what has he gotten, you know, what has he improved at the most? Ironically, I think he's become more of a game manager.
And I know that, like, Cam Newton and Tom Brady, and these people have had these quotes where they say game manager is not a derogatory term. You have to be a great manager. I just feel like I was saying it before anybody else was, where I'm like, Tom Brady is the greatest game manager of all time. Right. And so also the greatest player.
And so for me, I think. And I think I've talked about it with you. There's this evolution that quarterbacks go through.
So in high school. If you're a star, if you're a five-star guy and you have a bunch of offers and you're picking between one of four 25 grade schools. You're basically rewarded by your ability to make plays. Because when you try out for the Elite 11, We look at your highlight tape. When you s you're gonna move from a three star to a four, a four star to five.
It's your highlight tape.
Okay, and so it's making plays is it's a rewards-based system off of being a playmaker. And then you go to college. How do you win the Heisman?
Well, everyone has their Heisman moment, right? And so it's a series of incredible plays that you've made that are backed by wins and stats as well. You can't have one without the other. And then how do you get drafted high?
Well, a lot of times it's your ability. You know, can he make every throw? Can he elevate a team? And so it's still this like rewards-based system around being a playmaker. But in my unique experience, where I sit helping people at all three levels.
I do think playmaking is helpful, but you've got to be able to put the ball in play every available opportunity. Part of that is decision making, part of that is footwork. and getting yourself aligned and all that. And the other part is accuracy. And so you got to be able to see the whole board.
and resist the temptation to make a play when it's not there. And you have to put the ball in play. And then the best players at the position in NFL, I think. put the ball in play every available opportunity and when needed can make a play. And I think honestly, that's what we're seeing with Caleb Williams is still.
The the need and the thirst to make a play and potentially missing out on opportunities to just put the ball in play. And so with Josh. The way that that's played out from a statistical standpoint is he doesn't turn it over anymore. Like he's scoring more touchdowns than everybody and he's kind of been doing that for a while, but now he's also like turning it over less than everybody. And I think that's the, it's not one thing that he's done.
Um, but that's the one thing that I look at where even though their defenses looked, you know. Like they're struggling at times this season. They are the only 4-0 AFC team. But even though the defense looks like it's had holes, or this didn't click, or they didn't run the ball. You always have a shot if your quarterback is not going to turn it over.
And has proven to be what he is, which is a guy who can, the game's not over until it's over, and he can come back and score a bunch of points at the end if you have to. And so, I think as I look at him and love watching him play and love him as a person, I'm just really proud and love watching. the game manager he's turned into. Even though he still makes four to eight highlight plays a game. Jordan Palmer here on The Rich Eisen Show.
Again, from afar, what do you think is going on with Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams' push-pull or? or coaching up based on last year potentially being a SACFESS lost year. Uh on the coaching up side of things for the first overall pick, what what do you think is going on there in Chicago? Jordan. Well, you know, I definitely don't know the dynamics between their relationship or anything like that.
I know they're very different people, but I think that's true of most of these, you know, QB head coach relationships. I just kind of go back to evaluating Caleb coming out. And I remember I did a piece of content on it where it was like maybe the most impressive play that I saw Caleb make in college. It was unbelievable. He drops back, he looks at the hitch, it's open, and then he scans the field, and then two guys come after him, and he jumps over one of them, and he sprints out, changes a direction, rolls across his body, rips one like 58 yards in the air, perfectly in stride.
Unbelievable touchdown. And I'm watching that play and I'm like. The hitch is open. Yeah. And that's kind of in you.
Yeah. And we can study the playbook. And we can watch a bunch of tape of Jared Goff, and we can really drill the footwork after practice. Like, you can do all those things that are natural. approaches to addressing that.
But it's kind of like when you get a seventh grade quarterback who's really good, but he's just scared to get hit. That's all. You can kind of only learn how to do that in games. I don't have a drill for you.
Okay. And so, the evolution of Caleb Williams, whether he reaches his potential or not, I think is going to come down to his ability, to what I said about Josh, is like his ability to grow as a guy who's willing to just put the ball in play. And it's almost like at a psychological level. I don't think he doesn't remember the plays. I don't think that's it.
It's a real-time. Decision that you got to make. And I've said this forever. My son is in third grade and playing flag right now. He learned this lesson last week.
There's certain interceptions you got to throw to learn that you can't make that throw. You can't do that. Coach can tell you all the time, don't throw it late over the middle. Right? Until you throw one late over the middle and have to go make a tackle, it's hard to learn that lesson.
And so. I'm hoping that this season, first year with Ben Johnson, That's the evolution we see. And I'm not gonna look to the stats to see if it happened. I'm not gonna look to see how many yards he threw for a completion percentage. I'm gonna watch the tape and just how many times.
in this these simple gimme throws Quick game, all that is the ball out on time, accurately thrown, despite the ability to maybe hit the corner route or maybe get the dig behind it. And I don't blame. It's not that Caleb doesn't work hard or doesn't want to. I just think he's been such a star. I met him when he was a junior in high school.
He's been football's been running around making places been so easy for him. And based off my point earlier about the evolution of a quarterback, so rewarding for him. Number one recruit in the country, Elite 11 MVP, Heisman Trophy, number one pick. I'd say that's been a pretty good run. It's been so rewarding for him.
that I was hoping that last year, a tough year for him. Was going to be the lesson to learn, and I'm excited to continue to watch him over the season. to see if that progresses because if it does this is like a top tier talent guy. What is your opinion of Jackson Dart's first start and expectation level moving forward here, Jordan? What are you thinking for the Giants and Giants?
You know, the Giants is the weirdest thing to me because I hear. Everyone's opinions on Brian Dable. My only experience with Brian Dable was the first couple years with Josh and being very involved in what was happening and what wasn't. And I just watched him take a guy. who was like 56% completion percentage at Wyoming.
And You know, his first two years was just still learning how to be consistently accurate with the football and learning in NFL and throwing into the Wolves. And, you know, Josh's number one receiver, his rookie year, was Kelvin Benjamin. That was the number one guy.
Okay, so he did not step into a full cabinet. And I just watched those two guys get so good at their jobs. Josh got so much better. I mean, I'm watching practice take game table, like Brian Dable is dialing it up. With randoms, with Cole Beasley and Kelvin Benjamin, right?
And To watch The Giants not be successful on offense with multiple quarterbacks has just been like baffling to me because I don't care what everybody says about them. I know. I have a pretty good understanding of Just how good of a coach Brian Dable is and how brilliant he is on offense.
So I've been really excited. For him to get his guy in there. Whoever that ends up being, it turns out it's Jackson Dart. That's who they drafted. Jackson was a hard eval for me coming out because he's got all this talent, this ability, he's really athletic.
Um But it'll miss it. He's not coming off a national title run where he has all these huge gains and these big wins.
So I don't, it's hard to evaluate if somebody's a winner or not. Just because they didn't win in college doesn't mean they're not going to be a winner in the league. Just because someone won in college doesn't guarantee they're going to be a winner in the league. But I'm really optimistic about this pairing between these two guys. And so far, my evaluation of Jackson Dart is he's one and oh as an NFL starter.
And I think that's kind of all I have to go off of right now. And like, let's circle back in six weeks.
Well, I mean, and I love Dayball the same way, okay? Just any time that I've been around him, and I tell Giants fans and that the management loves him for a good reason. But now we're seeing Daniel Jones do what he's doing in Indianapolis. How do you square that circle? Right?
I mean, Dayboat won a coach of the year based on the way that Jones made the playoffs with Saquon and everything else. And I understand it's a team game. But what do you say to Giants fans who are like, look at what Daniel Jones is doing now? Wh why should we trust stable? Jordan, yeah, I understand that concern if you're a Giants fan, and I understand how crazy Giants fans are, right?
And or just New York's fans in general. But Um I think what Daniel Jones is doing. In indie is less indicative of what he didn't do there. I think Shane Steichen and Daniel Jones, I would have said this before the season. Here, heads up.
I got money on Daniel Jones' comeback player of the year, 100%. I put it in in June. Like 100%. That's a perfect fit. I've known Shane since he was a quarterback coach with the Chargers.
And I mean, this is the exact quarterback for them. I think Daniel Jones would be balling in Minnesota if he would have stayed right now. I think Sam Donalds would be balling in Minnesota if he stayed right now. And so what Sam Darnold's doing. Is lex less indicative Of what didn't happen there.
It's the right fit somewhere else and the right timing and everything around them. Um, but again, I wish I had some, here's exactly what happened with Daniel Jones and Brian Dable. I have no idea because it was a head scratcher because I've always thought Daniel Jones was going to be a really good player in the right situation.
So I'm just surprised that it wasn't the right situation there. Not surprised the success he's having. And again, I won't be surprised if Jackson Dart turns it on and at the end of the year starts looking like Bo Nix did last year. All right, before I let you go, I could see the thread performance packet over your right shoulder. Explain to everybody.
uh on Disney Plus, the ESPN app, ESPN Radio, what it is, and uh what they should do. Jordan. quarterbacks forever, all ages, and Realized a couple years ago that a lot of parents, if they have their kid in the private lessons and private, you know, your daughter's got tennis and. And the other guy's son's got baseball while my kids are playing flat. We spend all this effort, money, and resources on giving our kids a shot.
And. And really there was nothing on the market for athletes that are going through puberty. from a nutrition perspective. And so we came out with three products. It's a rocket ship.
We've been in business for a year. It's all off threadperformance.com or direct to consumer. It's a subscription-based business. And it's been incredible the feedback we've gotten from some emails from some moms about how it's changing the conversation at the kitchen table, changing their kids' body, their focus. We've got things in there for focus, energy, strength.
And then in two weeks, we're launching hydration, which is very specifically designed. For athletes going through puberty, because I don't know if you've got. Teenagers, but based off our research, I mean, 70% of teenagers, their diet, over half their diet is processed foods.
Okay, so if that happens, that's a lot of bad sodium.
So you better be putting something in your body to counter that. Otherwise, when you drink a bunch of water, your cells aren't even gonna absorb it.
So, we look literally, every product is specifically designed for athletes going through puberty. And um We're a little rocket ship, and it's been awesome. And uh and watching getting some feedback and watching the business grow and watching more people um start to even just talk about nutrition differently in the kitchen.
Well, you know, Susie, right now she's no doubt tapping a text to me, if not you, saying, uh, how can we get some for our kids?
So uh Be on the lookout, sir. Always great to chat with you and make us smarter, Jordan. We'll have you back on very soon, whenever you're free. Thanks, Rich. Jordan Palmer is busy as they get giving us some quality time right here on the Rich Eisen Show.
All right, we've got to head to break right now, and we'll talk a little bit more about what we just heard and talk some Broncos before Mark Schlerith joins us. The Rich Heisen Show, the podcast. So, um We were very heavy on the Bengals thing 'cause you always focus on teams that um Are falling apart before you focus on the teams that are just moving along. And the Broncos aren't moving along.
Now, a lot of people thought they could be 3-1, if not 4-0, based on how the bandwagon filled up during the summer. Hey, look out for the Broncos. I will tell you this, if you had told me before the season. What we know now. I'd have thought they're 4-0.
Through four games. The Denver Broncos. have still trailed. In the fourth quarter, a grand total of zero minutes and zero seconds. That's insane.
Wow. They're going into their game next week in Philadelphia. Having trailed Not a single second in the fourth quarter of a game this year. Again, there are two wins. I love that.
They were winning, and there were two losses. They lost at the final gun in Indianapolis. When there was a missed field goal, but a leverage penalty gave Indianapolis another shot to beat him, and they did. And then last week. In um And so far up the road, Dicker the kicker beating them with the final gun.
Bonick's over 300 yards. Passing. last night. 326 ran one in. Tossed to him.
And with the defense doing what they did to Cincinnati. This is an interesting particular statistic. I have it right here. They outgained the Bengals by 353 total yards. Largest total yards margin in a game so far this year by more than 100 yards, a whole football field.
Second game in the last two seasons with such a difference. J.K. Dobbins, congratulations. You just took Latavius Murray off the list of the last Denver Bronco to run for 100 yards in a game. First one in Sean Payton's tenure to do so.
Courtland Sutton lit it up.
So did... R. J. Harvey, so did Marvin Mims Jr. That's the stuff we're looking for.
Sean Payton had this to say. Last night. Obviously early in the season. All report. All thirty-one other teams are really working to figure out who they are.
We're no different. Um But it certainly was a step in the right direction. There were a lot of things that we were able to do tonight that That Hopefully can carry over. Um Now we change quickly to a team that just finished one in the Super Bowl.
So We'll enjoy this one and then get back to work tomorrow. It just doesn't make you feel better as a fan to hear somebody that, you know. who's won a championship and kind of knows what they're doing. And everyone was wondering what was he doing? when he first got there.
And what were they doing telling Russell Wilson? You're making uh More money than any other dead cap quarterback in the history of the league is doing. And we're just going to go ahead and do it. And then we're going to draft Bo Nix, and then he's going to start to blossom like the way that he is. And maybe next year, the conversation in Denver will be: can Bo Nix get off to a faster start than he did as a rookie in his second season?
Because look what he's done the rest of the season. We could be looking at that. What a big game next week. Philadelphia. And then the week after that, they're on NFL network.
I'm calling that game Broncos versus the Jets.
So they could go into that game with a big, huge head of steam. before taking on the Giants, the Cowboys, and the Texans. Bronco's looking good so far. The Rich Eisen Show Podcast. Mm-hmm.
