Two hours ago, Kyle arrived at the bar. Hey, what's everyone drinking? 30 minutes ago, Kyle got his friends another round of drinks. Cheers! Five minutes ago, Kyle decided to drive home drunk.
A minute ago, a law enforcement officer pulled up behind Kyle. Sir, have you been drinking tonight? A chain of events that began two hours ago is about to change Kyle's whole world. Drive sober or get pulled over. Paid for by NHTSA.

Told you so. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Shane Steichen named Daniel Jones the Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback. For the season. He's proven that he's played good football in that 2022 season.
Today's guests: 15-year NFL veteran quarterback Rodney Peet, seven-time NFL Pro Bowler Steve Tasker. And now. Yeah. Rich Eisen. Yeah, that's right, everybody.
Welcome to this edition of the Rich Eisen Show, live on the Roku Sports Channel, live on the Infinity Sports Network, SiriusXM Odyssey, and more. It's just a. I I I gotta be honest with you. Um Sports Center on Monday night. Announced on Tuesday.
I'm calling the YouTube game between the Chiefs and the Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. And today, major announcement tonight. I will be back in the chair of RPM. tonight on ESPN2. Oh okay.
Thursday, NBA Two Night.
Well, I never hosted that, so I can't go back. I hosted RPM Two Night once. And I believe, if I'm not mistaken, I got to ask Kenny Main this, that I believe I'm the only host in the history of that program who has to call AAA to change a tire.
So I don't know, we can ask ESPN research if that's true.
So I love starting the show with big announcements, and that's the latest one. Let everybody know. Tweet that out. Yeah, you sure. With fire emojis and, you know, a tire axle, tire axle.
How are you doing over there, Chris? You good? Yeah. Great, man. What's up?
I just told you. What are you doing? Everything? How are you, Mike Del Tufo? Great to see you.
I'm still thinking of your RPM tonight. RPM 2. Tremor 2. RPM 2. Let you know which network it was on.
2. What's up, TJ Jefferson? How are you over there, sir? It's good, man. The big question is: when is the Ocho going to get you?
The Ocho? What do you mean?
Okay. I don't know. Speaking of tire axles, isn't that what patches of Woolaham was thrown at people? You can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. Dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
By the way. That was the motto of me in the rundown meeting for RPM tonight. Back in the day. Did it once? I don't know why.
But um Never did it again. And in the difference of the sports centers Never wanted to do it again. I checked all the boxes. Did you have to wear a leather jacket? Remember, Keith got pissed?
I know. He said, Welcome to the end of our careers. That's how he launched ESPN2, sitting as a Susie Culver, I believe. At any rate, fun times. 844-204 Rich is the number that I'll have a conversation with us today.
Steve Tasker is going to join this program in the middle. We'll talk Buffalo Bills football with him. Rodney Pete's making his way to our studio right now. Nice. I don't believe Rodney's been here, is a much better half has been.
And Holly Robinson, Pete, is part of the new Bravo dating series, King's Court, that they are all hosting together. Um So he's joining us here in the hour number one. Albert Breer. Breer will join us in hour number three. Perhaps we'll talk with him about what we're going to talk about here again.
Led the show with us yesterday. Daniel Jones is the starting quarterback in Indianapolis, and Anthony Richardson is not. And, you know, last year, as we know, his first year cut short due to injury. Last year, up and down, more downs than ups. For for Anthony Richardson.
And um This year though He was going to be stuck in this competition with Daniel Jones. And he lost the competition. despite being the number four overall draft choice. Just wait for it three drafts ago, two years ago. Normally, that'll give you a leg up over somebody who was once upon a time.
A sixth overall draft choice, but from another team who's come from another team.
So, and they're different. Giants are the team that drafted them, Vikings are the team that took them. When the Giants just cut them in the middle of the season, saying we're done now. Usually that guy doesn't have a leg up over somebody who's been drafted by a team and the team's general manager who drafted him is still there in Indianapolis and Chris Ballard, number four overall draft choice. Anthony Richardson.
is now going to be wearing an earbud. I don't think they use clipboards anymore. That's an old school reference for a backup quarter. Tablets, tablets, tablets, tablets, tablet. On the tablet.
Don't call it an iPad because the league will push back to let you know maybe on a Microsoft Teams. A meeting will let you know you were wrong. The point of this is, is The coach made the decision. We assume the general manager is part of it. We assume ownership is aware of it.
Altogether a decision was made. And I don't know which way to go first here. Oh oh We'll go. We'll go with Anthony Richardson. And his comments about it.
He said all the right things. Hit it. You know, you just got to respect the decision. You know, they feel like he's the better fit for the team, better fit for the outcome of us winning.
So you just got to respect it and just keep working. You know, that doesn't undermine any other work I've been putting in. It doesn't say that I haven't improved. You know, I'm proud of the improvement I've made. Saying is also proud of that.
So you just got to keep stacking on that. Just keep getting better. You say you respect it. Do you agree with it? I mean, I got to agree with it.
At the end of the day, Whatever's best for the team, that's best for the team. You know, if it was me, I'm pretty sure he would be having to answer the same question.
So at the end of the day, I respect it. And whatever's best for the team, whatever's going to get us that Super Bowl ring, I'm all for it. That's an outstanding answer, because of course he doesn't agree with it. Of course he doesn't agree with it. Certainly when he believes that he's done.
And he's checked the boxes he was asked to check. Even though He had problems. checking and seeing there's David Ojabo standing there and he's going to come hit me and he's going to hit me so damn hard I'm going to hurt my hand and it's going to dislocate a finger and I'm going to be done for the night in the one preseason start I got. Yeah. your best ability in football being a lack of his.
In the first couple of years as a professional quarterback, But He did point out that he thought he did what he needed to do to get this job. Mike. Me, you know, uh, like I said, I just gotta be ready for whenever the opportunity uh showcases itself, you know. Um, I can't put a timeline on it, they can't either. You know, I just gotta, whenever, you know, the opportunity is there, I gotta take advantage of it.
So, um, You know, I appreciate every opportunity. But after two years and two benchings, I guess what gives you confidence that they do still believe in you? No, them telling me. You know, they tell me they believe in me. My teammates believe in me.
So I got no choice but to listen to them and believe that.
So they're telling me one thing, I gotta accept that and I gotta live with it. And I just gotta showcase that I'm still here and I gotta keep growing. Do you wanna stay here and be an Indianapolis cult? Man, I thank God for the opportunity. And like I said, I got to stay ready, be ready.
So Lord's willing. If it's still here, I'm going to take advantage of it. But I'm not looking to get into going anywhere else, anything like that. Like I said, I'm here in the moment right now. I'm a coat, and I enjoy being a coach.
So I'm excited to be here. I'm excited for Daniel. He's going to do a great job leading the team. I talked to him earlier, man, lead the team, lead the way. We following him.
And wherever he takes us, that's where we're going to go. Family feud. Good answer. Professional answer. Then why is his agent talking ESPN to give him a quote?
Hmm. It's the opposite of perspective. I don't know. Derek Jackson, but I did see this is what put. His client at the top of the ESPN news stack for Bit yesterday.
Trust is a big factor, and that is at best questionable right now. Anthony came back and made the improvements in the areas he needed to improve, and by all accounts, he had a great camp. End quote. It is innocuous in the last couple of years. lines and potentially honest in the first line about that Trust is a questionable factor.
It's a big factor and it's questionable right now. because it's obvious that's a two-way street. Mm-hmm. They don't trust him. They don't trust him for various reasons.
There's always an iceberg, and we just see the tip. The tip of the iceberg in the preseason was him not. figuring out that I need to get rid of the football when David Dijabo is standing right where he is and he's coming at me. And in the previous year with Shane Steichen there in. You know, with Shane Seiken there.
As his coach. Since he's been A pro. This is clearly an issue. Quite uh Trust.
So, why put it out there? Because I'll tell you what will help this. Grow it. I will tell you what will help mistrust even more is can you trust Richardson's ability to make right decisions. If his agent is giving this quote to The SPN.
That erodes the trust. And the reason why Anthony Richardson, and we're clapping for good answers, even though we know he's potentially not laying bare his emotions. over this. is because We know. That in snap four of a season.
The best laid plans of your starting quarterback can be down on the ground. Look at the jets. And you also know That you're Being benched. By the team that drafted you. Way earlier.
than you ever thought anybody drafted in this position. would be benched. Doesn't mean your career is over A, or B means your career's over with your team. Case in point, Bryce Young. Bryce Young getting benched for Andy Dalton last year.
We were here saying, get out. You're done. You're finished. At one point, partners, all this stuff, yeah. Guess what?
Andy Dalton. Got hurt. Who goes back in? Bryce Young. And guess who beat Daniel Jones in Jones' last start for the Giants?
The guy on the screen. And this, if I'm not mistaken, is from that game in. Germany. That I called. Where Bryce Young.
Starts showing off his personality and his smiling and making first down moves. After he's picking things up with his legs. The Daniel Jones. Winds up losing the game. Even though he did have a nice comeback at the end.
And it wasn't his fault why the Giants lost. It wound up being his last start time. And look who's starting in Indianapolis for Anthony Richardson. Can't make it up. You never know.
That's why you'd hold your tongue. Anthony Richardson could be the starting quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts as soon as week two. Hmm. And he could be. playing highly meaningful snaps, for the Indianapolis Colts.
As soon as week one. And that's the way life goes in the National Football League. And the trust issues that his agent is laying bare for all of us to talk about at the top of this program today. And on the top of the ESPN news stack, as it was for a bit. On Tuesday.
Would go out the window. Because you're now in the same boat together due to circumstances, neither of you. Plan for. Which is why he's got to say, I'm staying ready. Because Anthony Richardson, you could have your opportunity back.
Like that. Ask Zach Wilson. Two years ago. And you know Zach Wilson. Did his best to make the most of that opportunity.
Just didn't work out. And you just know when he's now in Miami. Odds are he's going to get a start. And you know it'll be against the Jets.
So when do they play the Jets? All right, wait a minute. I shouldn't go down that wormhole. I made my point. I just.
You know, we usually don't go in the direction of thanks for the sound bite. Why the hell did you say it? But it wasn't a sound body, it was a quote. At least Anthony Richardson said the right things. And he's walking around that building and A coach can sit here and say, You are the backup for the season.
Until, wait a minute, go in there, kid. Where's your helmet? Yeah. How many times have we seen it? All the time.
I mean, all the time. Stay ready. The last few years, 60-plus quarterbacks have started games. You mate. How many teams go down to quarterback three?
Many, many. Yeah. Man, I can't wait for these games to start. 844-204 Rich, number of dollars. Rodney Pete here.
Has he made it to our Los Angeles studios? I believe he has.
Well, I guess he has good. Let's start a break. Let's do it. Let's do it. I believe he has played in the Rose Bowl.
Our Rose Bowl seats might get a new signature. I'm going to check this. I mean, if you played at UFC, you probably played a road game at UCLA at one point in your life. I would hope so. All right, 84424 is the number to dial.
Rodney Pete is here. That's next. This is the Rich Eisen Show. Hey folks, let me tell you that drinking and driving is a decision that will change your whole world. Things will never be the same once you get a DUI because legal fees and time in court are just the beginning.
Getting into a crash is another way your world could be irreversibly changed after drinking and driving. Your vehicle may not be the only thing it gets damaged in that crash. You could face a life-altering injury or even death, but... You're not the only one who could face those consequences. Your decision to drink and drive could permanently change someone else's world, whether you injured them or leave their loved ones grieving.
The next time you're out drinking, call a rideshare, a taxi, a sober friend, or a designated sober driver. Always plan for a safe ride home. The only decision that will change your world for the better is the decision to call for a sober ride. It is never worth it to drive drunk. Don't risk it.

Next day on Peacock, which means you could see right here on the Roku portal. One of the hosts, the secondary host of King's Court, ladies and gentlemen, Robbie Peterson. Come on, I got to give love to Holly, right? Of course, of course, of course. And you said it right.
Kings Court, again, it airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on Bravo and the next day on Peacock, which means it's right here on Roku. We're back on the Rich Eisen Show radio network, all as one big happy family. And look who is here. It is Rodney Pete, Bravo's Kings Court 16-year National Football League veteran.
And of course, Mr. Fidon himself right here in Los Angeles. Good to see you, Rodney. Good to see you, Rich. Yeah, I'm still walking upright.
Can you believe it?
Well, I mean, 16 years, man. Yeah. Howl. Many years were you just looking back and thinking to yourself, I can't believe I'm still in this league right now. Because 16 years.
Even, you know, in somebody's wildest dream, it doesn't happen for a lot of people. No, it's true. I mean, that's why, I mean, the NFL, right? It's called not for long.
So, you know, those first five years, they go long because you're trying to build your career. But after that, they go so fast. Those last five years that you're in the league, it just blows by. And you look up and you're like, man, I'm already in double digits. And the next thing you know, you're finishing up your 16th year.
And, you know, at a time where. Quarterbacks weren't as protected as they are now. I like it. You're sitting at home watching this game and you're like, get out of here, right? Because I know so many guys who played in this league from the era in which you played it were like, if I had those rules, I'd still be playing right now.
That's the general sense of it, right? It is. It is. And not to be the get off my lawn old man sitting there. Do what you know you want to do it.
Yeah. Yeah. When you can't get hit and receivers can't get hit down the field. You know how many times I got yelled at for throwing a ball a little bit too high over the middle, Rich? Right.
Several times a game. Right. But now they can't hit the receiver, they can't hit the quarterback. Yeah, I could probably still play. I'd last about.
One series, though, right now. Yeah. So, when you who called you on draft night? Who gave me your ring? Wayne Fonts called me.
Wayne Fonts. Yeah, Wayne Francis. Detroit Fonts. Wayne Fonts. Right.
Yeah, joking and whatever. Right. And you show up in Detroit. Yeah. And there's Barry Sanders.
Yeah. Right. Yeah. Now, you crossed paths with Barry Sanders before. You stole my hide.
That's the answer I'm looking for. He stole your Heisman. That little fella, he stole my Heisman. You're a spot in Heisman House. Yeah.
You know what I mean? All these years later, I missed out on the Heisman House. Down at the Downtown Athletic Club. Who else was in the finalist of that? Troy Aikman.
Aikman was there? Yeah, we came out together. When you started that year, um. And then a guy from West Virginia, Major Harris. Major Harris.
That's a name I haven't heard in a while. Big year that year. Yeah. Major Harris. Man, oh, man.
And you wound up backing up Troy at one point, right? Yeah. Went to Dallas after Detroit and spent a year there, Rich. Unfortunately, Dallas won the Super Bowl three out of four years. And that one year in 1994, I was there.
We lost to San Francisco and we didn't win it.
So kind of tough. I was in, I worked for. I started my um My TV career in Reading, California in 1994. And I was in Candlestick Park that day because it was. you know, it's Niger's country up in up where I was doing local T V, and I came down with my equipment and I was right there.
Steve Young, as he was celebrating in that game, came right past me. I will never forget that, but That that was the Super Bowl. That game was the Super Bowl. I think they went on and beat San Diego 75,000. I was about to say, beat is a very tame word for what they did to the Chargers.
We stand 21 points in that game, if you remember right, and then tried to fight back. But it was their day that day. I mean, Irv and Deion tell the story about what they both swear it was pass interference on the other person. Of course, every ball thrown in the 88's direction that day. Think about that, that matchup in the championship game, Deion versus Michael Irv.
Everybody, just if you take a look at that game. If you take a look who was there, Haley. Haley, you could go on and on and on. From that championship game that year. It's pretty amazing.
You know, for sure. I've got Rodney Pete here on the Rich Eisen show. Do you still have dreams that you're putting on the uniform? None of those? Or no?
No, no, not anymore. Not anymore. Because those dreams of all the glory and throwing touchdowns. immediately turn into getting hit. Until they turn to nightmares, yeah.
Yeah, that'll wake you up for sure. And so which team do you think you're in Los Angeles? Because I know you're you've got a show every day. You've got one later on today, right? Yeah.
And so which team in Los Angeles has the better chance to win the Super Bowl this year? Do you think? I think with Harbaugh in its second year and Herbert its second year with Harbaugh I I'm looking for big things from them. I will say The Rams, but obviously, what's going on right now, you got to say it with a caveat because you don't know if Matthew Stafford and his back is going to hold up throughout the whole season. Right.
They took Philadelphia town to the wire last year. I think they're going to be better this year, but he's got to stay healthy. And if he does, I think they got a legitimate shot to get there. More so, I think, than the Chargers right now.
Well, I mean, I know what Cooper Cup meant to this team and so many fans of the Rams. And I can't wait to see what he looks like in Seattle. Yeah. Right? Because Jackson Smith and Jigba and Sam Darnold's kind of all new there, with the exception of obviously JSN, but they got rid of DK Metcalf and they they no longer have Tyler Lockett on the team.
But all that said, Devontae Adams. Yeah. In this mix with Puka, Kyron Williams, I'm a Michigan guy, so I think Blake Corum is going to maybe get some more snaps and look the way that he looks. Jared Verse, the defense, and all those young guys who are just killing it right now. it it it does feel like Man, what is going on with Stafford's back right now?
Whatever is going on with that, I don't know. We're in the town with acupuncturists and chiropractors and osteosists. We got it all. We got it all. He brought the wagon up with the oxygen chamber and the whole deal he's got going on.
But they are. They are being a little cagey with it right now, right? And what's going on? Yeah, you heard McVeigh soundbite saying we're taking it day by day, and then he mentioned the word weak, and he just tossed in the word weak in there. Like, no, we don't want to hear weak, you know, like you do.
That's what you're referring to. Right, right. You know, it's kind of a little vague. It's like one week he's saying, oh, yeah, he'll be ready to go. I think he said this like a couple weeks ago.
If we had to play today, he would play. Right. And then he walked that back and said, well, we're not sure. It's kind of day-to-day, like you mentioned.
So we will see. But at his age, and you think about the back. 'Cause he's not going to get hit until... week one. Right.
Right. And that's when you're really going to know how it's going to respond is after he gets hit and has to get up time and time again. Then we'll find out. But if he's healthy, he's as good as it gets. And as and I don't think he gets enough Credit for how talented he is.
Hall of Famer, right? What'd you say? I would say, yeah. You know, after they won that Super Bowl, I think he's got to be in there. His numbers speak for it, too.
Right. And if anybody knows about the Detroit of it all, you know, you too. I mean, he arrived, you know, obviously after you departed. But you did have, you know, Barry's there. Yeah.
I was lucky to turn around and hand it off to him oftentimes, but I certainly understood what he was going through in Detroit and getting beat up. I mean, the guy took a beating in Detroit for 12 years, and to be able to come back and still be playing, that's a credit in itself. I've got Rodney Pete here on The Rich Eisen Show. And again, we'll talk a little bit more about King's Court in a second. You Tell me a story about your son, RJ, please, here in Los Angeles, where he is a mainstay in the Dodgers organization.
Would you mind telling this story that I think is important, neat in so many different ways? I appreciate you mentioning that. Yeah, RJ is 27 now. And at three years old, RJ was diagnosed with autism. And he has a twin sister, and yet he struggled after that diagnosis.
And, you know, we didn't know much about it at that time. And it wasn't really out there mainstream like it is now. And so we would fight to try to figure out what we do with him in schools, in and out of schools, in and out of treatment. You know, fast forward, he started to get better and better and better. After high school, we were like, Is he In a position to go to college, we weren't sure.
And we said, let's just go see if he can just find a summer job. And called around, we went to different places, and then finally Lon Rosen, who works at the Dodgers, and Magic had just been a part of the ownership and we're good friends with him and said, Just come over and say hello and we went over there and he met the folks over there, met Dave Roberts and Met the guys in the clubhouse and said, Come on, you want to you. And he goes, You know how to wash clothes? And Holly and I were looking at him, you know, wash clothes at home. But he said, Yes.
And here we are, 10 years later, man. He's been with the Dodgers for 10 years now in the clubhouse. And. I'm almost going to get teared up because they treat him like family. They treat him like a little brother over there.
The guys that have been through there, Justin Turner and Jock Peterson when he first got there, and now Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, they all treat him with love. And he is, it has changed his life and it's changed ours as well. It's opened him up. I mean, do you think the experience, just the responsibility of the role or? or just feeling comfortable finding people who Love him for who he is.
Because there's so many people, as you know, out there who have children who are autistic and who have family members who are autistic and trying to figure out. You know, obviously they The symbol of the puzzle piece is an app symbol for For fighting autism, or at least trying to find a cure for it, or ways of dealing with it, obviously. What do you think?
Well, listen. Everyone has a worth, right? Everyone has a gift. And that doesn't matter if you're a child with special needs or an adult with special needs. We all have a gift.
And it's about, I think it's on us as a society to kind of reach our hand out and try to find out what that gift is. And You talk about it changed his life. Yes, because RJ was not a big social person, but being around the Dodgers forced him to be social. And smile and interact with people and talk and engage. In that respect, it has changed his life.
Also We used to have to drag him out of bed to go somewhere, to get up, to go to school, or go anywhere. He gets up on his own, whether it's at five in the morning or he's got to go meet the team at midnight. He is up and he's doing his job and he's responsible and it's given him.
Something to look forward to. And it's really cool. And in that respect, it's really changed not only his life, the people around him, but certainly our life as a family. It's too bad the team's not winning. I know.
I know. I know. Well, who cares about the regular season anyway? Let the Yankee fan in for a second. Is R.J.
deferring his salary to 50 years from now? Is that what he's doing? Don't hate. Don't hate. Well, my youngest son, you know, Susie being from New England, you know, He he's a um He is a Celtic Patriot Yankee fan.
How does that work?
Well, I mean, I had to put my thumb on a scale here. First of all, when Tom Brady's winning all the championships for the Patriots, right? Like, I'm a big, no, no, no. You need to stick with dad watching jet football. That didn't work.
You know what I mean? That didn't work. You know what? I care about my kids. Rodney, that's why I got best dad ever right here on the desk.
Case in point. You know, in the Celtics, when when When Charles Oakley was dragged out of Madison Square Garden, I'm like, I'm done with this team. Go root for the Zaltics. Fine. But with the Yankees, it's a different story.
I mean, his older brother, Xander, is not that much into sports. The Red Sox went to lead into it. Again, Cooper's my youngest son. My older son, my oldest son, is not that much into sports. But that said, when he was a baby, he was the firstborn, all the Red Sox onesies that came from her side of the family, they wound up somewhere else.
And so the reason why I'm telling you all this is I brought Cooper, my youngest son, to game one of the World Series last year. Oh, really? And the only good thing about it at the end of the day is we got in our car fastest than pretty much 53,000 other people. You know, the tip of us and the rest of the Yankee fans were out there. You saw it.
You saw it. Well, actually, we were down the right field line. The ball went right across our sight line. I cursed and I said, I think we should leave. This is what I said.
But obviously, the Dodgers are crushing it right now. And, you know, and now the Lakers and the Dodgers are kind of. Yeah, they're family right now. They're family. How about that?
How about that? Unbelievable. Rodney Pete here on the Rich Eisen Show. Tell me about King's Court. How did you and Holly Robinson Pete get involved in all this?
Or what about him?
Well, Rich, like you and Susie, we've been lucky to be married for such a long time. We just celebrated our 30th anniversary. Congratulations. Thank you. Did you meet on Sesame Street?
Oh, no. Come back young. That's where her dad worked. Her dad, yeah. Susan can tell us how to get to Sesame Street.
Yes, she can. Her dad introduced Big Bird and Oscar to the world. Yes. The original Gordon on Sesame Street. That is correct.
Yeah. So, yeah, no, they, Will Packer, who created the show. Oh, I know Will. Yeah. Great people.
Yeah, great, great, great people. He's not as successful as the Dodgers. I know. You bet he doesn't work too hard. Oh, my gosh.
Okay, so this is a great time. He came calling and said, You guys have been married. You know, we're creating a show about, started out with Queen's Court.
So three women and 24 guys would get together and they would try to figure out and find love. And it wasn't, you know, the thing about it was appealing for Holly and I, it wasn't the. 21-year-old that is on an island, and it's all about, you know. Whatever it's all about. You know what it's about, Bob.
Survival. Survival. So it was more. This is more about mature folks who either had been married before or hadn't been married, but in their 30s and 40s. And so really at that point in their life, they're looking for love and they know what they want.
So it was appealing for us. And lucky enough, we were able to do it. And we did Queens for two years. And now the Kings are doing it. And it's a lot of fun.
Yeah, bravo. Six o'clock out in the west and nine out east. Yeah, but I mean, you can't tell me that Tyson Beckford needs help, right? Tyson needs a lot of help, Rich. Why?
How? Yeah, what's up? Because it's Tyson. He's gone through it, right? He's gone through the model phase where he had everything he wants.
Yes. And from afar, you think that's. What every man wants. I'll be honest, up close, it seems like that would be the way it is now going. I just said up close, but I'm sorry, I don't mean to go.
I cannot confirm or deny that Tyson and I had several stories off camera. I cannot confirm that or deny that. But yeah, you would think that he doesn't need any help with that. But he agreed to come on the show because it wasn't working for him. And he was going in and out of relationships and wanted to see, I guess, what.
Was out there and what he was doing wrong, and try to figure that out. And once, and you know this. Once you're there for a week or so, you kind of forget about the cameras being around. You forget about you being mic'd up, and you say things. And unfortunately, we can't air all of it, but you say things and do things, you're like.
Does he know that the camera's on? Does he know that this is all being filmed? But it becomes real. It becomes real at some point, and that's the cool part about it. I love it.
Yeah. Rodney Pete here on the rich eyes. Man, there are so many different questions to just ask you in our remaining time, or just go ahead and hit it. But what is it like to hand it off to Barry Sanders and have that as a front row seat and watch him go in the other direction? What is that like?
It was Unbelievable. I will say it without hesitation, the best running back I've ever seen. And you played for USC. I did. You've been around for a long time.
I forgot all of those, the Marcus Allen's, even going back to the OJs and Ricky Bells and all those guys that I saw. Barry did things that Would First of all, it would translate today, but we're so unbelievable in a small area. Of space within the offense and defensive line that he would do for a two-yard game or a three-yard gain, you'd go unbelievable, and then he would break one off. Um You know, I used to pride myself on being a great. The scepter as a quarterback and being able to fake and carry out my fakes, but handing off to Barry.
I became the worst faking quarterback in the league because I would hand off and just turn around and watch him. And I get yelled at in the film session the next day. It's like, how are we going to ever run a bootleg or anything like that if you don't carry out the fake after you hand off? It's like, Have you seen the guy run? Is that what your response would be?
Oh, yeah, I got a front row seat. I'm not going to miss this. And he was absolutely unbelievable. Never said more than five words and never. I mean, it was so humble you thought it was an act.
Right. You know, and never want to take credit. Obviously, you know, he never spiked it, always gave it to the ref and all. To his day, he's the same. To the point where.
They were, we would take up collections. for Barry to do something in the end zone when he scored. What? And he wouldn't take it. It got up to $10,000 at one point.
Come on. Oh, yeah. The team would take up collections to give to Barry if he did a dance or did something. demonstrative in the end zone. Did anybody make a suggestion for him?
Everybody did. Everybody did. They wanted to do the Billy White shoes, they wanted anything. You know, to a high-knee elbow right back in the day. I mean, just do something other than hand it to the ref, and he wouldn't take the bait.
Not once. Not once. Not up to five figures at one point. Unbelievable. Which money is six figures?
Hey, I'll do whatever you want me to do. You know, we weren't making what they're making right now, Rich.
So $10,000 at that point was good. I'm going to bring you down to my level before I let you go. Rodney. And so you're going to do your radio show? I am.
Okay. Fred Rogan, local Fred Rogan.
Okay. And I've been around some time, and I've met Fred multiple occasions.
So you know. You know what I've got to go through on a regular basis. I kind of used to know. I don't know anymore. But this is something that maybe you can talk about later on.
Chris Brockman doesn't even want to look up right now because he knows what's coming. Uh-oh. He does what's coming. Because years ago, I'm going to the Super Bowl, and I saw Fred. And, you know, I saw him and I just thought, you know, what's Fred said recently?
And I'll come up. And I'll give him some crap, right? A fourth, you know, because we were at the same gate going to the same. Super Bowl.
So I I I call up his Twitter feed. Yeah. Look at the bottom right there. Fred Rogan is blocking. What happened?
That was years ago, and I had everybody here check it out today. It still stands to this day. I do not know what I did or said, or I have no idea what's up with Fred or.
So I don't know what's up with Fred because he's blocked me. Rodney. Rich. Is he a blocker of people? There are many gifts, and they don't always come on Christmas, Rich.
This is a gift for me. I love this. I'm giving you a topic of conversation. Oh, my wish. We might do three hours on this.
I don't know. I mean, is Fred a frequent blocker of people? This is the first time Karen.
Now, I know Fred's got some people that he's rubbed the wrong way over the years. I haven't been able to do that. And people have rubbed him. I'm a. TJ, Mike, do I have beef for my unpersonal speech?
I will. I have no beef. Only Ohio State. That's the only thing that's it. That's it.
That's some other beef. That's natural, though. That's a natural thing, yeah. This can have an explanation. This one, I don't, I don't get it.
I'm going to have to get to the bottom of this. I'm giving you something that's called content, which we all need in the world. You know what they say, pass a baton? You just did that. I love that.
I love that. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I'm talking about right now. I know. I mean, I got the Heisman from Fred Rogan, and you got it from Barry Sanders.
It's our lives. This is great.
Okay, so it's a mystery. There's never been a moment in the commercial break where my name's come up for whatever reason, and Fred's like, man, can't stand that guy. I blocked him. No.
Okay. Should I ambush it?
Okay. No, this is yours. I don't want to prepare him for it. I want a real organic answer.
Well, I, again. It's fine because he won't know because he's blocked me. At this point, this is one big, shadowy conversation. I think it's something like you're coming out of a break and you're just like, so I was on the Rich Eisen show this morning. Yeah.
And then you see where the conversation takes over. I can't stand that. And then see what he says in response. Cause me to take my thumb. Yeah.
And hit a button. Right. I don't know. You know what I mean? He liked Matumbo on me.
I have no idea.
Okay, so it's still a mystery as I send Robbie and Pete out the door with some fat content for today's program. Good to see you, sir. You too. Insane. Behind a Holly, please.
For sure. King's Court airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on Bravo, the next day on Peacock, which means you can see it right here on Roku. Bombus makes the most comfortable socks, underwear, and t-shirts. Warning, Bombas are so absurdly comfortable, you may throw out all your other clothes.
Sorry, do we legally have to say that? No, this is just how I talk, and I really love my Bombas. They do feel that good, and they do good, too. One item purchased equals one item donated. To feel good and do good, go to bombus.com and use code audio for 20% off your first purchase.
That's bombb-as.com and use code audio at checkout. Getting the zone, out of the zone. Brad's day is off to a slow start.
So he heads to AutoZone, where batteries are as low as $89.99. Sammy, a local Autos owner, tests his battery for free. Looks like he just needs a charge. And Sammy does that for free too. In no time at all, Brad is back on the road, ready to finish the day strong.
Free battery testing and charging at every store. No hassles, just help. Get in the zone, auto zone. Restrictions apply. I always like to think that I'm his most favorite person in the room.
But when the Vince Lombardi trophy is sitting between the two of us, I think I lose out to Michael Irvin, right? I think I lose out to this movie, right? And it's so funny you start with this because I'm going to tell you something, man. Yes. I made a pact that I would never go to a Super Bowl until I play in the Super Bowl.
Okay. Every guest that comes here, they're going to get Super Bowl questions. That's why I always say I would never go to a Super Bowl until after I play in a Super Bowl, so I would not have people like Rich Eisen asking me questions that I cannot answer.
Now, what do you want to ask, Rich? Because I'm prepared to answer since I won three of these things.
So, what was it like picking this trophy up for the first time? It was the greatest thing in the world. And it really was, Rich. It really was. Do you remember the circumstances?
Oh, my God, man. First of all, you got to go back and think about like we were 1 in 15. We were 3 and 13, 1 in 15. When you 3 in 13 and 1 in 15 Cleveland Browns, I know you don't think there's any chance that you will ever lay a hold of something like this.
So to go from those days to coming in 92 and winning that Super Bowl and actually somebody handing you that trophy. The most incredible thing, most incredible feeling in the world. Did you ever step in when you heard that Jimmy and Jerry were not doing well or you just, your station wasn't that life at the same time? I just didn't think anything would happen, Rich. I really didn't.
I was like, are you joking? You know how hard it is to win Super Bowls and you have a formula that's working and then when it happens, like, oh my God. Like, you know, I should have done this. Maybe I should have talked to him. I should have tried this.
I should have tried that. Jerry Jones, I'm telling you, that's what's the one thing. I'll never forget Jerry Jones telling me that when I was negotiating with him. And I was saying, you know, I'll go to Cincinnati. And it was just, I'm just talking, trying to get my monies up.
I said, I'll go to Cincinnati. You get car pickings over here. And let's see what happened. And Jerry said to me, did, Jerry said, Michael, you know, when I see you, I see Michael Irving and the Dallas Cowboys. He said, I kind of see it like Magic Johnson and the Lakers.
He said, What is magic without the Lakers? And what are the Lakers without the magic? He said, You guys, they belong together, just like you and the Cowboys. He said, Michael, the best way I can tell you, if a bomb hit Valley Ranch today, that's where we practice and blew everything up, everybody, everything. When the smoke clears, baby, me and you, we're gonna still be here.
So we might as well work this deal out right now.
So that's what he said to me. I promise you, I said, This dude is a fool. This dude is a fool. He had me laughing as he was telling me no about my money. That's why you're in the Hall of Fame together.
I miss Irv. We just saw him last week. It was good. It was great seeing him. Oh, at the Cowboy Cowboy premiere.
Netflix premiere, yeah. I love that. That's awesome. I miss him.
Well, you say it like you can't call him.
Well, he doesn't answer his phone. Then try to leave a message. It's like your voicemail box is full. You try to reach Michael Irvin. I'll call him right now.
Well, it's crazy. I'll call him right now.
That would be amazing. In all honesty, the number of times where I've needed to reach him, and it's impossible to get him. And then Susie reaches out and he answers the phone right away. You know where you stand.
Well, I mean, he did sit on her side of the wedding. That is true. That is true. On a day where, God bless it, I didn't have a job, so thank God I got married. Yeah, good job.
Welcome back to the Rich Eisen Show Radio Network. I just worked blue in time. Just in time. That's why I'm a professional. I'm a professional.
Right before we got back on the radio. Yep, you got it. Right before it became your Marshawn Lynch nightmare. I can't believe you caught it. I'm back on the Rich Eisen Show Radio Network.
I can't believe you said, Rich. That was not having a job on your wedding day, Susie. You should call in right now so I can ask why did you go through it? Teacher, that actually was a good question. It wasn't terrible.
Stop. Stop it. Thank you, Mike. The one expert on relationships in this room. Rich, I'm with you.
That was out of pocket. Out of pocket. I could tell you all about bad relationships. Out of pocket. like steve young on a scrub like fran tarkin to approve how strong your love was all right all right everybody calm down can i say something though with rodney peat being here like yes sir that was cool for me because he was a reason a kid you guys always crack on me about the number of teams i like but he's the reason the kid from the middle of pennsylvania start paying attention to usc back in the you know the late 80s we didn't have es you know back then we didn't have anything but sports illustrated and i saw a black quarterback on the cover he went to usc and i was like oh oj went there marcus allen so start paying attention to to usc after that but like so that was pretty cool and of course the story about his son working with the dodgers that's amazing yeah Thanks to Sean Mitchell for keying us in on all that stuff.
You know, Sean's got a big heart, but... Anytime we could talk about his Dodgers, I'm sure he's very happy about that. You mean our Dodgers? Oh, my God. I knew that was coming.
How come? Because again, I saw, excuse me, I was sitting in Spain watching the real. Created by Jake Culp of the Rich Osin Show. Jake shout out. Let's give Jake a shout out, Jake.
He's the one who puts all the reels together from the Be Known Agency. What's up, Brendan? I'll give everyone, I'm shouting everyone. Yeah, might as well. It doesn't matter.
Fred Rogan won't know. Come on, man. Um Yeah. But I'm watching this reel of O'Shea Jackson Jr. sitting in this chair.
Okay. And Cube on the program. And I thought to myself, the first face I'm seeing asking a question isn't O. Shea Jackson Jr., which is the point. of making this real and I think I'm making a note talking to Jake about it.
The first person I see is this Jimmy. No, no, actually, he gave me. Excuse me, stop. You didn't see the real. I'm talking about the real.
I have to repost it. You're the first person who's asking a question of cube.
Okay, you. I mean, it should be. And I saw that, and my first thought is like, why is that happening? And then I heard him talking about I was the Yankee fan now watching you rehearse. Yeah.
You know, doing the Deltufo passive, aggressive, I'm a guy who's behind the scenes. I'm a Fox guy. It's the World Series. I see you making his assumptions. No, that's the subtext.
I'm not explaining the assumption. Deny it. Oh, I see you. You don't rehearse on Lynch. I could get your selfies with Lady Gaga, all that sort of guy.
And I was just outraged that you didn't call him out on being a Yankee player. He did. He actually did. You switched. Oh, it just didn't.
It didn't make the reason. It wasn't right. It was wrong. We were giving them lots of grief. What the hell?
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, we each got our own moment to chop it up with curiosity. The Hyundai Getaway sales event is going on right now. Get deals so right it almost feels wrong. Don't miss out.
Visit your local Hyundai dealer today. That wraps up our number one of our radio program. Steve Tasker's coming up shortly. We're still here on Roku, which means now I can curse you out, too. Stop, come on.
I'm just going down the line. I'm shouting people out and I'm cursing them out, depending on how I feel. And I feel great these days. You actually should.
Okay. You got it. Do we both hit that at the same time? You guys are like, you guys hit the same thing. Check this out.
Check this out. There we go. Austin Carp, who writes for Sports Business Journal. Apparently, this Rich Eisen Guy is a future if he wants to host sports center, my Monday night, post-Monday night football sports center. My first one in 20 years.
Move the needle a little bit here.
Well, speaking of that, 67% above this from year to year. Um Last time I was sports center was this much was this viewed was two months ago and then Thank goodness I beat my twenty myself from twenty-two years ago.
Well, that might have been a little bit bad. Do we want to talk about what Front Office Sports is reporting? What do we talk about? That you're going to headline periodic special editions of Sports Center?
Okay. According to an ESPN spokesman, front office sports is. Is breaking news to me.
Okay. I mean, I'll do more. I just don't know when the next time I'm going to do it. No, I've, you know, got a lot of jobs. I understand.
I mean, I understand. Is that what they're reporting? Yeah, that it from an ESPN spokesman.
Okay, you're in. The company's saying, okay, I guess I'm doing it. Rich. I mean, come on. You definitely are.
Yeah. This is great.
I bet on it. I'm kidding. Although somebody sent me this link, because you know I'm not on X. Marshand saying, oh, it's after a Monday night football game. I get it, Andrew.
That's great. And it has nothing to do with anything else going on. By the way, that fourth quarter was so scintillating. I'm sure it gave me a big fat audience. I mean, with Troy.
They were literally breaking down headlines of preseason week two going out in the fourth quarter. They were talking about Micah, and that was my question. I was going past Troy. I'm like, well, no, I'm not going to. Literally, just online.
Don't hate. Just congratulate. Just one little bit, man. Yeah, Burke Magnus, Rich. Oh, Burke said he was thrilled by the widespread acclaim.
Oh. Quote, that was pretty cool. I woke up to a bushel of text messages and emails. A bushel? A bushel.
Now, would you look that up? That's more than solid in terms of an amount. Oh, a bushel. Yeah. It's better than a handful.
How many is a bushel? Don't you think? I mean, just if you're talking about how many texts there are.
Well, according to the metrics here, one bushel is 9.3 liquid gallons. Of texts? That's a lot. I think that's a lot. How many pounds in a bunch of pounds, baby?
Pounds. A bushel of wheat is 60 pounds. That's swallowing. I mean, just putting in just the amount of text that would be. Feels like a lot.
What's up, Burke? You got it. We got it. We got it. Let's keep doing it.
All right, let's do a lot. I am Michael Rosenbaum. I am Tom Welling. Welcome to Talk Bill, where it's fun to talk about Small Bill. We're going to be talking to sometimes guest stars.
Are you liking the direction Plois is going in? Yeah, because I'm getting more screen time. That's good. But mostly it's just me and Tom remembering. I think we all feel like there was a scene missing here.
You got me, Tom. Let's revisit it. Let's look at it. See what we remember. See what we remember.
I had never been around anything like that before. I mean, it was so fun. Talk Bill. Talk Bill. I just had a flashback.
Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Let's get into it.
