It's Rich Eisen. Hour number two of the Rich Eisen show is on the air right here on the Roku Sports Channel, Infinity Sports Network, SiriusXM, Channel 375, Odyssey, and more. Great chat with Andrew Whitworth, an hour number one of the program. 844-204-Rich is the number to dial. Shador Sanders is going to get quite an opportunity to start for the Cleveland Browns preseason game number one on Friday night.

Mary Kay Cabot, who is with the Browns at their joint practice with the Panthers, is going to zoom in middle of hour number three. And then Kevin Fishbane, who covers the Bears, will zoom in right after her. We'll go back to back on that front. But kicking off hour number two, I was going to talk about. uh all things training camp with this man.

Uh but um You know, in light of what we just talked about, the ESPN deal to purchase NFL network, Mike Mayoc is joining us to tell us how large his residual check is. Mike, how are you doing? Good to see you, Mike. What's going on? Number one, I like that intro of you in your suit walking around with NFL football.

That was pretty cool. Thank you, sir. Caught my eye. Thank you, sir. And number two, if anybody is going to talk about the economic impact.

Yes, sir. of ESPN and NFL. It's probably you, because you've been at both. Yeah. You've made major bank at both.

Yes. And apparently, let me finish. Let me finish. Apparently, Rich. You've signed a deal with the SPN.

That's correct. And you're going to be like one of the biggest names in that network's history coming up.

So you're really the one to talk about that. I appreciate that. And in the meantime, I'm going to say, when will I get my residual check? Hold on a minute. I got a magic eight wall here.

And it says, Wow, this is really weird. I've never seen a go F yourself on the Magic 8 ball. I've never seen that before. But it actually did say don't count on it. That really just shows up.

I'm not kidding you. I think we could ask Thump the Truck. It's. Uh My buddy Mike Mayock here on the Rich Eisen Show, courtesy of Sumer Sports, which we'll get to in a second. I'm curious as to what this is about and what you're up to here.

That said, how does the Micah Parsons scenario, negotiation, non-negotiation, hit somebody who's Been in this league and business for decades in so many different roles, including general manager. Mike, how does this hit you? Where you are? A couple different ways. One, um, Jerry Jones has done business for a lot of years.

And he made an allusion today to, you know, buying a Dallas Cowboys on a handshake, which I understand and respect. And, you know, business was done a certain way. But I don't think you ever how to deal with a player. and say that's your deal. especially when they have representation.

So from my perspective I think Micah Parsons has shown up and done everything he's supposed to do. He's one of the most explosive football players in this league. I'm a little bit surprised by how the Cowboys have handled the negotiations or the non-negotiations because they won't call the agent. I think it's well within Michael Parsons' purview to hold in. And at a certain point, Rich, I think you look at the comps.

And you look at the T, there are a bunch of edge rusher comps. You look at the TJ Watt deal. Forget all the big numbers and the 45 million average and all that. I think what's important is TJ got three years guaranteed. Which is rare.

And that's the most important number: is how long are your guarantees followed by what is the guarantee at 108 million?

So if I'm Micah Parsons, what I'm looking for is a three-year guarantee over $108 million. A lot of the other numbers are fluff. I hope the Cowboys don't stare this thing down and say you're playing for $24 million or you're not playing. That would be a shame.

Well that that wouldn't Shame is one way to put it. It would also be. Mind blog, mind-boggling, right? Talent over everything, money over everything. I'm like, let's go here.

I mean. That's the Philadelphia Eagles who are raising the banner on opening night, and not just any Philadelphia Eagles team. You and I both know Roseman has built this thing to last. And he signs his guys early, right? I mean, A.J.

Brown, Devontae Smith. We could go on and on and on and on, right? And so You can't go into that game without Mike Parsons because you're You won't call the agent because a handshake agreement, this, that. That's why I just seem to believe that this has got to get done. And don't you think, Mike, it's got to get to get done.

It will. It will. I'm blown away by the lack of communication. I really am. The player is in camp.

And with They've got to be talking to the agent. I mean, it's not at this point, with all the comps out there. He's 26 years old. He's one of the most dynamic and explosive defensive players in the league. We all know what the numbers got to be, plus or minus.

You got to go make the deal.

Now, Jerry could be sitting there and going, wait a minute, I got him for 24 this year, and I can hold on to him next year at an exponent higher than that based on a franchise tag.

So I can get him for two years and really. Mike is only The only thing he can do is hold back services, which most players won't do, because you're going to give up, you know, 10 weeks' salary at age 26 in the prime of your career, because you got to report by week before week 11 of your contract tolls, meaning it doesn't count this year, and you're right back in the same situation next year.

So if the Cowboys want to be tough, they can be. But Rich, let's just open the doors of communications and get them on the field. It makes no sense to me.

Well, Mike, I mean, you've been in a position before where I'm sure you've had the hammer of a leverage and then you've got to figure out like. What does that mean at the end of the day, right? Like for the greater good. I mean, have you ever been in a position like that where, like, I've got the leverage, I can swing this hammer. But showing the fact that I don't have to swing it, is just as valuable as the contract I'm offering.

You know, right? Yeah, I've been in a couple of situations where I was really happy with the way the The Raiders handled it. You know, I remember with Colton Miller, who's one of the best offensive tackles in football. He was starting to dig his heels in a little bit and talk about potentially moving on from his agent. And, you know, we proactively got it done.

And he's, and I think he appreciated that. I think the locker room appreciated it. I mean, I look at Trey Hendrickson. We're talking about defensive ends, different conversation. You know, the guy's 30 years old, but he's averaged 14 sacks a year the last five years.

He's had 17 and a half sacks the last two years. The Bengals do business a little differently, especially with defensive players. But The way they're looking at this thing, I think, Rich, and here's where I mean, like every team's different. They're saying we have a value for this guy that we believe in. Forget all the comps.

We have a value, number one. And number two, is at age 30, is he really going to sit out? Nah, he won't. He'll play for the 15 million that he's under contract for this year and then can go next year. We'll stare.

And the Bengals have the history of staring that battle down. I think both of them are senseless to a degree. Both players have earned a certain number. When you get to age 30. You know, you have to take that in consideration, just like Terry McLaren at Whiteout.

You have to take that number into consideration from the owner side, from management side. But man, the Micah Parsons thing just irritates me, Rich. Mike Mayoc here on the Rich Eisen Show, what, in your estimation. From your vantage point, is the solve for Terry McLaurin? Uh and the commanders Well Um There's a history of wide receiver drop-off after age 30.

Derry's approaching that, I think, in the next month or so. We had Terry McLaren at the Senior Bowl in 2019, and I love the kid. You want to talk about, and he didn't have big production at Ohio State, which is, you know, they had a bunch of wideouts that had bigger acclaim than him, which is why he didn't go till the third round. You know, he's got four consecutive thousand-yard seasons. He is the captain of their team, and he's one of the most professional young men I've ever met.

Now You know, I was thinking about the A.J. Brown, DK Metcalf contracts, which average around 32, 33, but they're two, three years younger. In wide receiver years, that's a lot.

So, you know, you look at Mike Evans. He signed at age 30. You know, Mike Evans got a two-year extension before the 24 season. I want to say, for I think he got $35 million guaranteed, but it was a $41 million contract. I think that McLaurin's looking for a lot more than that.

I don't think he's going to get to the $30 million average. And the whiteout numbers have gone up. Big, especially because of those two Bengal guys.

So I think they have to get McLaurin in camp. If you want to chase the Eagles, To your point about Dallas chasing the Eagles, Washington's got a dynamic. Dynamic group of young guys, even though it's an older roster. And you better get McLaren in there. He's the best wideout, he's their captain, and he means a lot to this franchise.

And I just like the way Washington's terminology is publicly. We love the kid. We want him back. We're going to do everything we can to get there. It's a tough negotiation, but we'll get there.

That's the attitude it should be.

Well, isn't that the attitude the Ravens had with Lamar publicly, right? Back in the day? Like. Where no matter what Lamar was saying, I want to trade, I want this, I want that. They were loving him up.

You know, as best they could publicly. I mean, I don't know, you know, privately what was going on, but. That seemed to be happening there. I just think, again, this has to be, they got to solve it, right? Jaden Daniels, year two.

What are you going to take his BFF away? You can't take his BFF away like that. We can seriously have to sign him, have to sign Micah. Right. And in the Lamar thing is really intriguing, Rich.

If I remember correctly, the franchise tag they put on him put him at risk for two first-round picks. In hindsight, how many teams would make that deal now? Please. I know. I know.

I know, and obviously that's a whole different story. Mike Mayock here on the Rich Eisen Show. Just going to give you the floor. What's your training camp intrigues you? Which team do you think?

You know, as the shot that we're not talking about, I'll give you the floor. What do you got for me? What have you seen out there that you're like, you know what? I like this, or this concerns me. I just give you anything.

Omnibus, Mike, go for it. Omnipus, I like that. I like that. Yeah, I know. Your BC knowledge, you got it.

You got it in there. Omni, Latin root. Over pertaining to all. Mike Mayock, everybody. Yes, sir.

What do you got for me? What do you think? I think the two best teams from a talent perspective in the league that I've seen last year and then again this year are Philadelphia and Baltimore. Mm-hmm. And I don't think that's going to surprise a lot of people.

Um, Philadelphia, what they keep doing, they signed, they traded for the uh the corner yesterday or the day before from the Raiders, Jakorian Bennett. They gave up a backup rotate, rotational defensive tackle, who, by the way, I like is a good player, but he's a he's a solid rotational defensive tackle. Potentially, they get a starting corner. Um, that's going to help them. Uh, they did a great that jihad Campbell.

They're they're the linebacker that slid to them because of the injury. He don't look like he's very hurt to me, Rich. Um He was running around the field last week like a puppy, and he's the future. Of the off-the-ball linebacker position. He can line up in the A-gap.

He can line up at defensive end as a nine technique. He can drop back and cover two and run under a wideout 40 yards down the field. He and the kid from Georgia, Jalen Walker, who went to Atlanta in the first round, are kind of the future of the off-the-ball linebackers and the Jihad Campbell kid, man, and the Eagles. Jeff Stoutland, their offensive line coach, I mean. Yep.

God bless him. Another good Staten Islander from my hometown. Stoutling. Is he your hometown? That's right.

We're from the same hometown. Staten Island, New York. He's amazing. And they keep drafting young kids in the fifth, sixth, seventh round, and giving it to them. And three years later, they're starters.

And then Baltimore. Rich, put this in your memory bank.

Okay. Baltimore number 98, Travis Jones.

Okay. He's a third or fourth year 340-pound defensive tackle who took some strides. He caught my eye last year, and I had a couple of their games late, and he's a monster. And I think he's going to have a breakout year this year. I think their wideouts are really good.

Their offensive line is really good. I mean, they're going to score 30-plus points a game again. Defensively, the thing that held them back a little bit last year was in the defensive backfield. You know, they drafted Malachi Starks, the safety, in the first round. As advertised by surprise.

Yeah, right. They signed a Woozy A and Jair Alexander. I was at their joint practice yesterday with Indy, and Jair Alexander was in mid-season form. He was chirping everybody. And I mean, it was really fun to watch.

Yeah. I mean, This all tracks. You know what I mean? All of this tracks with what you're saying, kind of all on brand for both. franchises.

Which team are we not talking about? We should be. Which one? Give me that one. I don't think Washington is a one-year aberration.

You don't. And I'm such a believer in this young kid. I have a list of quarterbacks in my book every year. Like, and I have four franchise quarterbacks this year, which I think everybody knows who they are. And at number five, I got Jaden Daniels.

And if he has another year this year, like last year, with everybody game planning for him, he'll be the fifth franchise quarterback. And then there's a group from like six to 12 that you can win Super Bowls with. And two of them already have, you know, Jalen Hurts and Matthew Stafford. It's a really good second group. But Washington, to me, they got a left tackle in free agency.

They kept their tight end, Ertz. I'm a big believer both in their young GM. Adam Peters is outstanding, and their head coach Dan Quinn. And I don't think they're an aberration. I think they're the real deal.

And I got to get the names. I'm assuming Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, and Burrow are the four? That is. You were kaiji, no, you come on now. I left that out there dangling on purpose.

No, no, I'm not gonna leave that. You know, I'm not gonna leave that. They were the four.

Okay, and Daniel's above Hertz on this list.

Well, here's the point. It doesn't, that next, it doesn't matter.

Okay. In the first four, if I gave you first pick. I'll take any of the other three and beat you.

Okay. And then the next group of like six or seven guys, like there was a big controversy in Philly because Hearst was only number nine on some list. I'm like, guys. I don't care if he's five or nine. He just won a championship and three years, two years ago, he was in the championship and played at a high level.

The guy is the right guy with the right fit at the right time. Don't worry about whether he's five or nine. You can win a championship with him. Is that your way of saying that was low-hanging fruit for me to point out that Hertz is below Daniels on your list? Mike, is that that?

I know you. I should be better than that. Who's what you're doing? I think Daniels has the key, has the potential to get into that group. And I think in that next group, and I mean, I'll share.

I mean, the way I look at it, let's go. I had um I had Stafford and Hertz, who both won Super Bowls. I had golf. Herbert? I had Herbert.

I had Purdy. I had Mayfield, who got into that group for the first time this year. Love it. And C.J. Stroud, I got a look.

His first year was great. Last year, I don't have that on him. That was some of the worst pass protection I ever saw. I think he's going to have another strong year.

So. When I leave that second group, Rich, and I say you can win a Super Bowl with all those guys, okay? I think they're really good football players. You get in the third group, they're solid, but they have kind of question marks, and that's guys like Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Sam Darnold, Geno Smith, Bo Nix is still there, Tua. Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, they're all.

And then there's some young guys that I keep to the side because they haven't proven it yet. The Drake May, Caleb. Williams, Michael Pennix guys, you know, and there's some guys that jury's out. You know, they haven't done much yet. Bryce Young, J.J.

McCarthy, Cam Ward, Anthony Richardson, and some of those old vets like Let's See, Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

So I just kind of gave you a list there that I think is intriguing, but it's the way I qualify quarterbacks going into a season. Where's Rogers? On the list.

Okay. I I did their game, as I told you, their Houston game, which they won at New York last year. And I see arm strength. He spins it. I still thought he was struggling a little bit moving around in the pocket, which later in the year didn't look as apparent.

I don't know what we're going to get this year. I think we'll probably get a guy that fits in that third group, the solid group. And I think that would be good enough to help Pittsburgh have another solid year. Sumer Sports, what is it, Mike? Tell me about it.

Oh, my gosh. What do you got for me, man?

Well, I was getting ready for you today, Rich.

Okay. Okay, it's this AI company that I all I do is write scouting reports. I watch college tape and write reports. But They just kind of. Let me in on.

They have this sumer brain, which is an AI thing. And the whole, this is really rich about. Showing you where the NFL is going right now, the whole league. Yeah. Either developing their own analytics department to a level we can't believe, or they're contracting out to other groups.

And at Sumer, Like when I was getting ready for you, I had, I called Sumer and said, hey, give me an overview. of all the wideouts that turned 30. And did new contracts. What were the numbers? What were the guaranteed numbers?

What's the recommendation for Terry McLaurin, et cetera? And 30 seconds later, I got the answer for all of it. Wow. Then I asked last week, Well, from a coach's perspective, let's say I want to know what all of Tampa Bay's fronts were in the last four regular season games. I want fronts, I want coverage, I want it against 11 personnel, first, second, third, and first, and second, and third down.

Success. or not against run and pass, spit it out. That would take Quality control, two young quality control assistants, 16 hours a day, two days. 90 seconds later, it spit it all out. It's where the NFL is going.

And I think a lot of teams are ahead of other teams. It's kind of the next frontier. And An old guy like me. I saw some of the AI stuff with the Raiders and the way the coaches used it to track GPS stuff in game planning, but it's getting to a whole nother level. And I thought I was just going to be like breaking down tape and I'm kind of.

Energized by looking at what this stuff can do. And you're going to hear more and more as it goes on, Rich. I love it. Bringing the authentic intelligence to artificial intelligence, Mike Mayock of Sumer Sports. See, there's nothing artificial.

About your intelligence at all. But I love hearing your passion, obviously, about anything in this in particular, Mike. Before I let you go, how did the Darren Waller Signing in Miami hit you as a guy who goes way back With him. Mike. Mixed emotions.

I'll never forget the poignant moment where he stood up in front of our team. We gave, it was his, I forget which year, fifth, sixth, seventh year of sobriety in Max Crosby. Asked us to do something for him. We raised some money, gave him a big check. And it was players only, coaches only, and me.

And we closed the doors, and Max introduced. Darren to the room, and I sat there transfixed, crying for 10 minutes. I'll never forget that moment. And I'm not going to reveal any of it. I just was so touched by Darren Waller sharing his story with us.

So I'm always, I get this big thing in my heart for him. He hasn't been as healthy over the past three, you know, couple of years, hasn't been as productive. When he's healthy, productive, and all in, he's as good as any tight end in football.

So I'm rooting for him. All my positive thoughts are with him. And I hope at the end of this year, in his mind, he feels like he made the right decision. Yeah, and I got Mike McDaniel on tomorrow's program. I mean, he'll know what to scheme with him, right?

Tua? Finding him quickly as a big, huge target. If he is healthy and he's the wallard that you, you know. Helped rediscover and put on the field. That's a particularly dangerous weapon for an already lightning fast team.

If you think about it. Yeah, and it is. And Tua is so good at processing quickly. And Waller's 260 pounds and literally legitimately runs sub 4.5 when he's in shape.

So at all three levels. You know, if a blitz is coming, he wins early. If you got a little time to develop a progression, he wins late. He's special when healthy. And, you know, it's going to be interesting to see what injuries and age have done, but it's kind of a fascinating hire.

Mike, you're the man. Let's do this more often, as you know. I love chatting with you. And congrats on Sumer Sports and everything going on. Love your insight.

And we'll chat again real soon. Talk to you soon. That's the one and only Mike Mayock here on The Rich Eisen Show. Love it. Lots to talk about.

I've got my power rankings as well. Um. It's still too soon for it, but it's a Wednesday and I'll do it. That's coming up next. Your phone calls at 844-204 Rich, number to dial.

But clearly, there's some sort of animus towards a guy that does not appear to have a single reason in a bone in his body to have animus thrown in his direction. It's really something else. What are the Steelers going to do? Big word alert. Big word alert alert.

Big word. Big word alert. Big word alert. What do we do? Quick.

Animus. A noun meaning strong dislike, hostile attitude, or an ill feeling towards someone or something. Animus. After Michigan got their butts kicked again by Ohio State, Rich had Animus for all Buckeye fans. Nice.

Big Bird Alert! Big word alert. So let me turn this one to you then. Who, Frank Caliendo, out of your oeuvre of the Louvre of your voices. Uh who would be the biggest Game of Thrones?

Let's go, let's go. Oovor.

Okay. the works of a painter, composer, or author regarded collectively. Ouvra. My Uber as a DJ and an audio executive is unmatched. Really?

Yeah. And that's it for today's big word alerts. You're welcome. Uh Thank you. Is that because I used the word omnibus in the conversation?

Is that what just happened? Is that where we played that? That's a Mike Hoskins question. And by the way, and then Maya defined it.

So. You're welcome for making you smarter. That was a great chat with Mike. And did you notice? When he talked about the different categories of quarterbacks.

Elite. Four of them. After which there were six Quarterbacks. That were quarterbacks that you could still win Super Bowls with. And then the third category.

The quarterbacks who showed behind the winners and placers. The word he used for them was solid. Oh, I caught that. Did you catch that? No, I did not catch that.

Oh, I caught it.

So that was a good thing. It was like two or three. No, it is not. It is. That's my point.

There's elite They're as close to elite, but just damn good enough to win it all anyway. And then there's the solid ones. I don't know what's your issue. Want to be called.

Solid. There are better adjectives To compliment you. Again, we go back to this. Your vocabulary is truly extensive. Most people don't have because most people don't have the well of words to dip into when describing something the way you do.

That's all it works. Not everyone got into the University of Michigan. Number one.

Okay. C, see. The Harvard of the West. Oh, my gosh. Who says that?

Well, Harvard is the Michigan of the East. Nobody says that. Everybody does. I don't know who you're talking to. I've literally only heard you.

But you're, you're, you're, you're, you're. Obfuscating. Oh, God. See, that's what I'm talking about, Rich. A man at home drinking a beer, he can't obfuscate with you.

You don't even know what that means. Yeah. I don't know what that means. You want to use AI to check that one out? Not really.

I'm looking at Michigan's rate.

Okay, stop it. Not really. He's on to the next group. That's what he's calling quarterbacks who aren't elite.

Well, who was in that group? Who did he say?

Well, I mean. Rack it back. You put Tua in there, you put... You know, who else did he put in there? All I know is they weren't Super Bowl winners or elite.

Hmm. Mm-hmm. He called them solid.

So, when I make a good point or this show makes a good segment, don't call me or this show solid because I find that. Offensive. Like I said, someone called me, said I was a solid guy on YouTube, and I love that. He said, TJ's a solid guy. What's wrong with that?

Because you're an exceptional guy. TJ? Slow down. Listen. No, you are exceptional.

You're one of the nicest guys that I know. Unfortunately, you've been my downfall. Absolute. Sweetheart of a guy. Yeah.

Who is great to people, you respect other people. Unfortunately. When you are disrespected, you clap back appropriately, but just enough. To make your point without making it worse. That's why I'm not offended by solid.

You are more than solid. Good lord. Just go with it. Excellent, excellent system by Mike Mayock of tearing people. Hmm.

Bravo. Here's my point. 844-204-Rich, number to doll here on the program. Al in Dallas. What is up, Albert?

First and foremost, congratulations. We all knew the news was coming, but the official announcement is fantastic. I'm looking forward to enjoying your show on the worldwide leader in sports is many different platforms.

So that's great news to hear. Al, I appreciate you wishing us well. And you've been along for the ride since day one. You know, and I came on the air 10 years in NFL Network, and that's where NFL Network's headed now, too. It appears unbelievable.

Crazy great news. I love it. Thank you, Al.

So, that being said, Richard, like you're in the sports and entertainment field, you know, you hobnob with all these people, you know what's up, and you know what? What's happening? Where are we going with this, Al? Where is this heading? When rookies get introduced to agents.

I mean, where do you think this ranks in the conversation of what to do and what not to do? The first what not to do is don't talk to the owner about a contract without me around. Where's Where's Ari Gold screaming Lloyd like in this thing with with Mika Parsons? Like, are we out of our mind? Especially that guy, they gotta know going in, I don't want you talking to Jerry alone about contracts.

Right? I mean, is this insane? This is the craziest thing we've ever seen. Yeah, and the analogy of of well I bought the Cowboys on a handshake agreement.

So That's the way I can make deals with players. Don't really track because this ain't landman. This ain't landman.

Well, it's not just that, Al. Listen, it's all about the long form, man, to use the legal phrase. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? No doubt.

You know, like right now, just as a perfect example, you just look at the language in the press releases between the NFL and ESPN right now. They use the words non-binding. Right, sure.

So they have hand, they've, I guess, I imagine Bob Iger and Robert, Roger Goodell, have. uh shaking hands over this or across a table. But you know, it's now in the hands of a lot of other people, regulatory, legal. It comes out the long form here. And so, Jerry could have come up with a number.

He could have come up with a number to buy the Cowboys. But when the long form comes back and it doesn't match, it's like, hold on a minute. Wait a minute. That handshake doesn't really end.

Okay, yeah, that's what it would be. That's what we call, that's what we call Fugesi, right? You got to do your due diligence. And with this stuff, it's like unbelievable. But these athletes keep talking to Jerry.

If I was his RE goals, I'd be like, first things first, stop talking to my client. Like, I know plenty of lawyers. You know, plenty of lawyers. I think this is insane. But these kids keep doing it.

It's nuts. I wouldn't say a pee to that guy. I mean, I wouldn't talk to any of them. Any of them. John Mara, swell fellow.

Wouldn't talk to him about that. Swell fellow. John Mara, swell fellow. You are swell too, Al. Alan Dallas, everybody.

Bringing the noise and the heat.

Solid call. Respectively. Moise God. Very good. That's a good one.

Okay, guys. Is it time? It is that. Oh, all right. There's a setup.

There's a setup. There's a setup. There's a setup. My bad. My bad.

All right. I have them written down. Back in the day. After the Super Bowl was over, I did something stupid. What was that?

I did a pound record. No, I know, I haven't done for the following year. I thought that was stupid. I loved it. That was genius.

We called it the way, way too early power rank. Here it is on the screen. I had the Eagles. Tops The Ravens two commanders three chiefs four Lions five Bills six Rams seven by the way I'm very proud to have had the Rams that high back then I put the Vikings eight the Broncos nine and the Chargers ten I kind of dig These power rankings, despite them being way, way too early. Then I believe after the draft was over.

April 30th.

So that's when after the draft was over. Yeah, I ran down. After back from Green Bay, I'm a lad Pipe William.

Now that we knew all the free agency moves and everything going on with the draft. I had the way too early. I just got rid of a way. Right. And I went Eagles, Commanders, Ravens.

I popped the Commanders up one spot. Rams, Chiefs rounding out the top five. Bills, Broncos, Vikings, Lions, Bucs. I popped the Bucs up there. Yes, you did.

Took the Chargers out. Mm-hmm. So that's what we call the backdrop.

Okay. Just reminding everyone of my way, way too early power rankings. Before the way too early power rankings, it's now time. On the Wednesday before the full first preseason week for the National Football League, about a month away. From the first game.

Between the Eagles and the Cowboys. I am now unveiling. My just a bit too early power rank is hit it. Ah! This is my call rankings.

There are many like it. This one is mine! Power ranking! I should say it like Bob Uger. Just.

A bit too early power rankings. Number 10 on the list. They're still hanging on at number 10. I still need to see what this team's going to do with two new. Coordinators still need to see it.

Lions are still 10. They're down a spot from my way too early. They're number 10 on the list. They're in the top third of the list. I've got the Detroit Lions Dan Campbell saying that the defense is still ahead of the offense.

I might be a little challenge here saying, hey, Ben Johnson's not around here anymore. But we still have the same guys. Let's go. I'm looking forward to a breakout season for Jamison Williams and the man who, as we saw earlier at a WWE event, Jameer Gibbs. Hot, hot, on fire.

Yeah. Five to nine now ten. Number nine, up one spots, my guy. I love that Mike Mayock is now including this quarterback in a Super Bowl-winning, worthy quarterback.

Somebody who can win it all. I've got the Buccaneers at nine. I'm putting the Buccaneers at nine. They got a shot here, man. I think they are going to win the division, and I think they...

I just gotta see Baker now, right? Here we go.

Well, I love Bucky Irving, baby. All right. You had them at 100%. Evans, Godwin's coming back. The O-line.

Let's get Werfs healthy. Let's go. Habuka. Right? Look out.

Right? Bucks are cooking something. They're number nine in their one spot for my. Way too early.

Now, just a bit too early. Power rankings that roll on with the Chargers back on the list. Keenan Allen's backed. Whoa. TNL is back to it.

Love that signing. Love that signing. Love it. Good for them, man. Teenan's showing us his lightning bolt once again.

Just a quick walkabout in Chicago.

Now he's back. Down in Derry, even. Adding to some of his generational figures in the. Team record books. He didn't like deep dish pieces.

I like what Jim is cooking. Year two. Let's go. Justin Herbert and the Chargers are eight on the list, but they're one behind the team that stays like before. The Denver Broncos are seven.

The Denver Broncos sitting there at seven. Mm. Can't wait to see what they do. Can't put him any higher because the teams in front of them have already kind of shown me what they've done. Let's see what they do in year two with bone.

I'm not putting him above the bills at six. Oh. No change for the bills at six. Concerned about Khalil Shakir's high ankle straight. Yeah, I don't like that.

James Cook, obviously not. I think they'll hammer that out. Like a Those are no changes. Everybody else is kind of no changes. Buffalo has been six the whole way.

They were six after the Super Bowl, and they're six after the. I'm still keeping them there. I am concerned about the member of the Rams roster. I wrote it down. uh they added a new a new player to the quarterback depth chart named epi durrell Um Oh wait a minute.

That's not a name. Just let my smile be an umbrella. Great NIL deal for Eppie Durrell, by the way, back in college. Listen, I don't know what's going on with Stafford. Get them healthy and they're higher than five.

How does that sound? Get him higher. Get him healthy. And the Rams are. Are they smarter than five?

Yeah, I think the Rams. The Rams are pretty high. If they are. If Stafford's healthy, the Rams have the best chance to knock off the Eagles of anybody else in the NFC. How does that sound?

He's not healthy. That's my point. Why are they five? Because they're still pretty damn talented, that's why. Jimmy, okay.

And you tell Jimmy Garoppolo he's not handsome. He's more than solid. I'm not going to tell him he's a handsome. All right. Number four on the list, down two spots because they haven't signed Terry McLaurin yet.

They're four. Commanders are four. Commanders of four. Terry McLaurin comes in.

Now we might switch things around, although. The Chiefs are up two spots. They're three. Dude. Keep sleeping on them.

Keep on. Keep doing it. Nobody is sleeping on them. Yeah, they are. You are.

I am not. You're like rolling your eyes. What have they done to go from five to three? They're the chickens. Exist?

Right. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Listen, pal. You remember them saying yesterday it could go one and four?

I don't know. And now no one could tell me Josh Simmons looks like a. Trent Williams, who came on this program? Lewis Redding.

Okay, yeah, they were. Keep s- You keep sleeping. No one is sleeping. Yeah. Up one spot to two are the Baltimore Ravens.

And then number one is the clear. The clear uh contender for the Super Bowl. For a repeat performance, the Philadelphia Eagles. That's my riches just a bit too early. Power rankings.

Knocked the Vikings off the list. Just because I need to see what my guy JJ is going to do first. I think that's fair. I think Denver probably should have been five. And then the Rams down to seven below the Bills?

Yeah. Okay. I'm not going to nitpick it. I appreciate you doing that. Not nitpicking?

Yeah, I'm not going to pick a nit over this. You shouldn't. No. Popsicles, sprinklers, a cool breeze. Talk about refreshing.

So, continuing our coverage of one of the top stories of our program, which is TJ Jefferson leading the league in calling roadside assistance. And we found out today that the battery problem. That has been plaguing his regular car, plagued the loaner car. And because his regular car is being fixed on once again. And You keep on pointing out why is TJ not Getting a new ride, right?

And word is hit me. As I've been walking around the facility here. Is it true? Your old ride belongs to once upon a time Mila Kunis, and that's part of the reason why you don't want to get rid of the car. TJ Jefferson, yes or no?

Yay or nay. That it used to belong to her, but that's not the reason why you're holding on to it. No, not anymore. But not anymore. But maybe at one point, I was like, oh, maybe hold on to it.

So now it makes sense that it breaks down. It's that 70s car. Is it that old? Oh, you think it's from the 70s? I don't know.

I've seen it possible. It might have been purchased with that 70s show money, which is that show is ancient history.

Well, you know it didn't take place in the actual 70s. I understand that. But it took place in the aughts, didn't it? In the early 2000s. I know that.

So if she bought the car using that 70s show money, then. That's an ancient car.

So, I guess you've never seen anybody drive around and out, and they'll say, like, a 1965 car or a 1980, like, is that what you're saying?

So, this car has a tape deck. Do you really have a tape deck in the middle of the middle? Yeah, it's in 2003. It's a 2003 Lexus. It has a tape deck and a C D player in it.

What is happening? I'm sorry, I'm not wealthy. Oh, you're gonna be able to do that. That's what you guys are trying to pour shame me right here to America. And I know they're not most certainly.

They are not trying to porce shame me. They're trying to porce shame him. You can afford a new car. Why I don't Don't worry about it. Your car constantly breaks down.

It doesn't. It's not broken down now. There was a sound that needed to be fixed, so it's not broken down. I was just getting some. Is your car in the shop?

Yes, that means it's broken down. Again, let me just say this. Bring it all full circle. According to a viewer or listener of this program, with an outstanding comment. On social media, sorry, are you guys 2025 cards?

This could have all, I do not. I don't either. This all could have been avoided. Had TJ once upon a time taken the middle key. You could have gotten a car, courtesy of the good people of the.

Mark Goods and Bill Todman production. Price is right. That's where you're wrong. I could have gotten. Two cars.

Exactly. And two motorcycles. And two motorcycles. And you could have gotten all that. And an e-bike, okay?

And you could have gotten her showcase too, because she was over. Yeah, but what were the chances? Like. I mean there's More than dumb and dumber. Hmm.

Look, see, we're getting to the bottom of all this. It's fantastic. Let's not compare game show appearances because I did much better on mine than you did on yours. Ours. Ours.

Ours. I did great. Oh, we know you did. You were awesome and everything. I got some audio from the shop yesterday.

Oh, yeah. Bring around the loaner. A loner?

Okay. Meanwhile, he's got a Maserati, which everyone knows. His car is in the shop and getting fixed more than mine.

Okay. And that is a fact.

Okay, good to know. Back on the Rich Eisen Show, 844-204-Rich. Number to Dodge.

Okay, am I lying? Right here on the program. Um, let's go to Jason in Phoenix, Arizona. What's up, Jason? Hey guys, hey, uh, what's up, Jake?

You know, I call him go by Jason. I tell you, Jason. I don't really tell you my last name, though. My last name is Jones. Aiden Jones.

My uncle, he might not want to tell you why. He don't want to pay Micah, but I'll tell you why. You put Micah in a conversation with Reggie White Reggie White has 12 sacks in the playoffs. in time games. Micah Parsons has one.

And four. Reggie White never had a defense that gave up 35, 40 points in playoff games. Problem with MIFA is he's too small. You can run right at him. You ask any coach, they'll tell you.

He's too small to be on the line. he can run around and he can get sacks on weak teams. But when you play the good teams, He's nowhere to be found.

So trade them. Do the Herschel-Walker trade. Get as big as a h haul as you can get. and call it a date. Also, Rich, you've been shaming yourself for being bald a little too long.

I want to tell you I'm a left that wield and straight arrow. for the most part. I know that's it for the most part, but you look better today. Bob, then you did. Back in the day when you have here, you asked yourself: could you 2025 rich steel?

Susie away from 2001, Rich, with the hair. You got more swag, you look better. might have just finally gotten Susie to see the light. Might have just like at that point in time, Jason, if we want to peg the accuracy, but I appreciate the compliment. And Jason in Phoenix giving us his opinion on Micah Parsons and the shape of my dome all at the same time.

I said, I didn't say Micah Parsons was Reggie White. I keep giving you the stat. Yeah, nobody's reggie white. That only Two people started their careers with at least a dozen sacks in their first four seasons. And their names are Reggie White and Micah Parsons, and that's it.

you know And obviously, the Minister of Defense of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, I think, played on a better defense than the rest of what Micah Parsons is playing on right now, with all due respect to the rest of the Cowboys that are on the 11. For him. Um so But it's a different time. It's a different day and age. Micah Parsons, no matter how small you may think he is, and you run at him or whatever.

The running game problem on defense for the Cowboys starts in the middle. And it has been for quite some time. And they've tried a lot of times to fix it, including one of my guys from Michigan, right? Taco Charlton. Taco is like a four-letter word to you.

Well, because if we don't pay Taco, J.J. Watt was right there. Or TJ, I'm sorry, not J.J. No, TJ. I get you.

And, you know, and. Micah's got to be signed. I mean, I don't know how many times I'm going to say it, multiple times I'm going to say it between now and September. Fourth. He's gonna have to be signed and it's that simple and Jerry knows it and he knows it and everyone knows it.

and they're not trading them, there's no way they're going to trade them. Unless somebody just calls up the Dallas Cowboys and gives them a Herschel Walker trade, you know, and just throws it at them. And they're like, okay, we're done here. You go pay him. And then you're going to have to deal with.

Going into the season. With Less of a defense. It's just that simple. You can't replace Micah Parsons. Immediately.

And maybe not over a long period of time. That's why it just makes no sense. And you're not going to take these picks and hold them in your back pocket and hope they turn out fine by the time of. The draft rolls around next year in Pittsburgh. She's not going to do it.

Hour three coming up. I mean, I don't know how many times I gotta say it. Yeah. It makes no sense. I mean, to basically say to Micah You're under contract.

We don't need to talk to your agent. Stand there in your pajamas. Let's everyone keep talking about it. Every now and then you know, the boss is going to say something in front of the the cameras that invariably inflames the situation because the way we're all reading into it, and then talking about it. Making the animus.

Deeper. But no matter how deep the emotions get Money talks. And when the contract hits the table. to the tune of maybe 45 per year. That will talk and it will end everything.

And Micah will be out there on the first Thursday night. The question is, is. How do we get there? How do we get there? Micah can't force Jerry to call his agent.

I told you what I would do. I told you what I would do. Because you're out if you're out of you know what's to give And you're out of options because your other option is to leave. I would get my agent on the phone. And walk up to Jerry Jones and hand him my cell phone and say, David is on the phone.

He wants to say something to you. I wouldn't do that, Rich. I'd have my agent come to camp, walk him over to him. You're like, you don't know him? David, Jerry, Jerry, David.

Let's get this done. I mean, that is provocative. That is provocative. It's just first things first is I would just take the phone, get him on the phone. Walk up to him.

and say, this is for you. I know we haven't spoken yet. How are you, Jerry? You good? Oh, by the way, hold on a second.

Here's my phone. It's my agent. And what's he going to say? No. FaceTime, even.

FaceTime. Show him. You know? And then there's his agent. What's up, Jerry?

How are you? You got five minutes? You you you want to do a zoom?

Okay. I'm gonna do a little Microsoft Teams. Like that's the way to do it M move it along. What do you got to lose? It takes A nice chunk out of the pie.

I mean,. What do you got to lose? Honestly, that's it. What is he just going to turn around and walk away?

So what he's gonna do? I'm gonna see if he uh David has anybody else on the Cowboys. Hold on. It's got pleats. It doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter. Get him on the phone, hand it to Jerry Jones, and say, let's start this thing, please. 844204 Rich, number to dial, hour three coming up. I am Michael Rosenbaum. I am Tom Welling.

Welcome to Talk Bill, where it's fun to talk about small books. We're going to be talking to sometimes guest stars. Are you liking the direction below? Is it going in? Yeah, because I'm getting more screen time.

That's good. But mostly it's just me and Tom remembering. I think we all feel like there was a scene missing here. You got me, Tom. Let's revisit it.

Let's look at it. See what we remember. See what we remember. I had never been around anything like that before. I mean, it was so fun.
