We're streaming every single day on Odyssey as well for the video right here on Roku and Roku Channel. Very excited to, once again, continue on what is officially a tradition. And it'll be interesting when Ryan comes out here, TJ, because he's, as you know, a diehard Philadelphia sports fan. So, when we talk Sixers, you guys are lockstep. When we talk football and baseball, then he's got to turn his back on you. And I, him. Okay, very good.
Although, it'll be easy for him to turn his back on you. Because it's already. Because, yes, especially. I'll just have to spin around in the chair like it's The Voice or something. We don't need to do that. The Voice. But you've got the, yes, The Voice.
Well, you certainly won't turn the chair when he's talking about Bryce Harper, you know? Okay. So, at any rate, last year we did this for the first time. And it worked, I thought.
Loved it. Now we're going to do it again, which makes it a tradition. And the it is telling you who's going to win tonight's NBA draft lottery by choosing ping pong balls and letting you know who's going to win the draft lottery.
That's how you do it. Now, last year, we chose the ping pong balls out of a bag? Yeah. It was actually two years ago. Oh, it was two years ago?
For Victor Wenminyama. It was 2023. Oh. So, now I was. Yeah. So, we're going to do it.
Don't screw me up with details. We're going to do it for Cooper Flagg. We're going to do this every year, as far as I'm concerned.
Flagg. I don't know why we didn't do it last year. I don't either.
Thank you so much. Because there was no great number one pick. Oh, no.
Because the lottery was on a Sunday last year. Oh. Oh, there you go. There you go. Oh, yeah.
See? Just in case anyone's wondering, the drawing in real life, 14 ping pong balls, number one through 14, are placed in what? Something that they... You know, like one of those lottery machines or whatever.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. A thousand and one possible combinations when four balls are drawn out of 14 without regard to their order of selection before the lottery, 1,000 of those 1,001 turn down the music plays combinations will be assigned to the 14 participating lottery teams. So basically, Chris has in front of him a bunch of sheets with four digit combinations. Yeah, I got all of them.
Okay. The 14 balls are placed in a lottery machine. They're mixed for 20 seconds and the first ball is drawn. The remaining balls are mixed in the lottery machine for another 10 seconds, then the second ball is drawn. There's another 10 second mix, then the third ball is drawn and a final 10 second mix and the fourth ball is drawn. The team that's been assigned the combination of the four balls drawn from the machine will take the number one overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
Let's go. I will read that again, other than the fact that it would probably put everyone to sleep. The only reason why I would read it again is the number of times I get to say the word balls. So, thank you. Was that Jay Feller you laughed off camera right there?
I appreciate that laugh, Jay. Balls is hot. Last year... Is that why they mix it again? What's a 10 second mix? You gotta... You know, it's like shuffling. You gotta reshuffle everything up. So last year we had the ping pong balls in some bag.
Last time we did it and we placed it on a table with duct tape to stick. Oh yeah. We got a better system now. The Deadwood hat that we have every single celebrity guest that's ever appeared on Deadwood, the HBO classic, they have signed this hat and had their... They also signed it with their favorite curse word, their character said on the show. Thankfully, we're holding the hat upside down so you cannot see the curse words. We're a family show.
I've got the ping pong balls in the hat and we have this piece of, I guess, balsa wood with some double sided tape that RJ Herrera, the Jack of all trades, the Rich Eisen Show has put together. We are moving up. We are moving up. We are moving up. This is what's going on here. All right.
Okay, Rich Eisen. Now, are you gonna do a 20 second shuffle here or what are you gonna do? I think we should abide by the rules. No, we just dropped a couple of balls. We gotta lose some balls. What is happening? Is this like craps when the dice go off the board? It's not a great system. All right, here we go.
It's almost like the bag was better. All right, first ball. Is a seven. Seven. All right. All right, here we go. So basically on that list there, you can eliminate all those that don't start with seven, right? Well, no, we reorder.
So lowest number does go first. Oh, is that what it is? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, geez.
So stupid. All right. Next up is nine. Nine. So right now we don't have to reorder, right?
We don't have to reorder. Seven, nine right now. Oh, look at this. Oh, geez.
This isn't a great idea this hat. Seven, nine. I don't know. All right. All right.
Next up, 12. Ooh. We don't have to reorder yet. Whoa.
It was a cold ball. All right. Hold on a second. The possibilities, if it stays like this- Uh-oh. Like it before.
Oh, man. Charlotte, if it's 13, TJ, you're hoping for 14 here, and that's Philadelphia. We might as well hold it a second. Put up the odds. I should have done this first, if you don't mind. Pop up the odds right now.
So what, if what comes out of this shoot right here? If it's 14 right now, it's the Philadelphia 76ers. Which has had currently a 10.5% chance of getting Cooper Flag, if it is what? If it's 13, it's the Charlotte Hornets.
Which currently has a 14% chance to win. Oh, man. This is great. Here we go. The last ball is 10. So now I move the 12 over, right? And I put 10. 10, 7, 9- 9, 10, 12. 10. Oh.
12. And the winner of, if this is the way it is tonight, the winner of the Cooper Flag draft lottery. You have all the logos there?
I have all the logos on the card. Chris Brockman. Oh, wow.
All right, once again. So everyone understands, before you show, Chris, this is a mock draft lottery. This is not the real draft lottery. If this was the real draft lottery, it would be away from the cameras.
It would be in another room, with a bunch of observers, with an actual lottery machine, with a 20 second mix, followed by two, three 10 second mixes. That's the real one. This is the mock one. This is the mock one. Chris Brockman.
7, 9, 10, 12 is the combination. That would make tonight's 2025 NBA draft lottery, thus Cooper Flag winner. The Houston Rockets.
Oh, my word. With major off season implications, since they're in the mix for Giannis. So Rockets would win the NBA draft lottery with a 3.8% chance of winning.
And that's a pick that they traded for. Oh, my goodness. That just goes to show you, everybody, dumb and dumber.
I'm saying there's a chance. Well done. Wow. With the exception of my fumbling before. That was fun.
That was a little low. I'm kind of down to do this again. You want to do it one more time? Yeah. Let's do it one more time.
What the hell? Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Okay.
What does that mean? Hold on. All right. We'll get one more. Thank you. One more lottery. Look at you, Mike. Let's do it again.
Oh, I did not know that. There was one more. All right, TJ.
Come on, man. All right. The first number is an eight. Eight. Eight.
And you know what I've heard once upon a time when I was younger? Eight. Eight is great. Yes. You can make it this way. You can make it that way. I once heard seven, eight, nine. You can make it this way. Oh, yeah. Would that be great if the next one is seven?
That'd be great. Eight. Next number is? Nine.
Please. Six. Six. Eight. Eight over. Oh, TJ's looking at the G2. And I put the six here. TJ knows he's got his odds.
We all got printouts, Mike. Next number. I like the eight. Next number, out of the Deadwood hat. I guess I should hold it like this, out of the Deadwood HBO hat. Here we go.
I've now turned the hat around. Well done. Well done. Twelve again. Ooh. Well.
Tom Brady, TB12. This is yours, here. Well, if I pull a ten, then this is like mathematical, right? Like 6, 8, 10, 12? Well, if you pull a 10, hold on a second, Rich.
So, Ian, what happens here if I pull? If it's six, if you pull a 10 here, that's Portland. Yeah. Okay.
Portland. Here we go. The number. Here we go. Is four. Ooh. All right.
We're gonna move it all over. Where are you? Where's the angel on that? It is four, six, eight, 12.
A lot of even numbers out there. Oh, baby. Four, six, eight, 12. Oh, baby.
I think we need it. Oh, baby. Four, six, eight, 12. Rich, I said.
Get your passport ready. Four, six, eight, 12. Could you imagine, in the year of our Lord 2025, the new Pope is from? Chicago!
Chicago! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The Pope! The panty put his thumb on a scale. The Pope, the panty put his thumb on a scale and the guy was a White Sox fan and now we've got Cooper Flagg.
Adam Chudby going nuts in the back. Out there! Wow!
I thought it was the Raptors at first. What's the odds for the Bulls to win the draft? Very low. 1.7. 1.5. Oh my goodness.
1.7. Wow. Let's do it again! Let's do it again! Let's do it again! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! We have one more.
I did not know this. This is fun. 5, 4, 6, 10, and a 13. What else are we gonna do? Come on, let's go. Oh, this is great. All right, here we go.
All right, last one. So the Rockets have won one. Rockets at 3.8.
And now the Bulls at 1.7. All these poor teams that were tanking forever to get those 14%. Again, 14% is nothing. It's nothing. It's nothing. One out of six.
We've got two teams of less than 4% chance of winning. The Pope. The Pope's gonna win.
Ah, Pope. Yeah. The Panty. The Panty. All right, here we go.
The Panty. First up. First number's one. Oh, we're just gonna keep that there. We're not moving.
We're not moving. All our numbers is going to. It's all our numbers. One. Two. All our numbers. Why do you want a two?
He's got a whole circle. By the way, one, two, three, five is sixers. Okay. Next up. 12, again. 12. 12 is the number today. Let's see if we got one in between. TJ, you got a one in 12.
That's my third. That's my third time we pulled a 12. The 12 is, yeah.
Play that tonight in the. The Powerball? Yeah. All right. At least put 12 in there. All right, next one is a six. Six. Ooh. Put the six next to the one for the moment.
This is crap. I think Philly's out, TJ. I think there's no option with Philly there. Last number is 13.
Ooh. Last number is 13. The third draft lottery.
This is, again, a mock draft. They only do it once tonight. I got it. Although they do it multiple times for.
This kind of makes sense. OK. Chris Brockman. OK. What do you got here?
One, six, 12, 13. The Rockups have won already. The Bulls have done it once. Chris Brockman, this attempt at figuring out who's going to win tonight's draft lottery is? Cooper Flag will fit right at home in Utah. Why would Cooper Flag fit right at home in Utah? See?
There's a lot of white people there. Oh. Wow.
Just went straight through the front door. Wow. All right. So we finally got a 14%. We finally got a 14%.
14%. OK. That was kind of a letdown. The Chicago one was so good.
Yeah, the Chicago one was tip. We should have stopped everywhere, not just Utah. You need to get one more. You need to get one more everywhere.
Are we done? No, it's one more. One more. One more. One more. One more. One more. Hold on. I can do this. One more. I did not know this.
I can do that. We should use only that drop, since it's the Cooper Flag. Yeah. That's right. OK. Come on. Do this right, Rich. Last chance. Come on. Do this right. TJ wants to win.
Stop BS so bad. TJ wants it so bad. Ryan wants in on this.
I'm already envisioning Embiid, Maxie, George. One popper flag, and me running the point. One popped out. What do we got? Hey. Wait a second. Wait a second.
Hey, you can make it this way. Did that fall out? Did that hit the ground?
What do you mean, did it hit the ground? New dice. I don't know how much. New dice. New dice. New dice. New dice.
New dice. All right, here we go. Next number is 3. 3. 3. 3. 3. 3. 3. OK. OK. Next number. OK. Next number is?
Get that mix in. 11. 11.
All right. Next number. Last number. Last number. Last number. Last number. Last number. Last number. Rich Eisen showed draft lottery.
Again, this is not the real lottery. 13, for God's sake. Is that what it would be?
Please. God. It actually is. It actually is.
It actually is. 13. 13.
It's silly. 13. Please.
13. Please. Please. For TJ's sake. Please.
Just let him get it once. It's 6. Oh.
All right. 3. 3. 3. 6. 6. 8. 11. Oh. 3.
6. I have a feeling Ryan Philip. I got it. I got it.
Ryan Philip, he wants to come out here and do this. That's the same thing. 3. 6. 8. 11.
Also, very white. It's Utah. Oh, my God. Why do you keep saying that?
I don't understand. Well, it's 14 percent or so. 14 percent. We were so close. Good stuff, guys. Duke all the way.
Duke all the way is right. All right. Ryan Philippi, come on out here on the Rich Eisen Show. Diehard Philly sports fan. We always have fun when Ryan stops by. We'll talk Motorheads, which is available on Prime Video Tuesday. Thank you, guys, for joining us. Thank you, guys, for joining us.
