Potential savings will vary. Not available in all states. This is the Rich Eisen Show. I love this guy. Let's go, bro. Right hand jam to tie the game. Oji Adanobi. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Left side Gordon for the win.

Yeah! Round left wing. Stripped by Bridges. Hangs onto it.

Took it away. And the New York Knicks stun the Celtics. Earlier on the show, ESPN Senior Writer Dan Wetzel. Coming up, Bill's General Manager Brandon Bean. Senior Writer for the MMQB Albert Breer. And now, it's Rich Eisen. Hour number two of the Rich Eisen Show is on the air here on this first Tuesday in May. Man, we're in the middle of the NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs. The draft is in the rearview mirror, which means it's time to review some people's work.

And I didn't have a problem with this man not drafting any offensive players, so I don't want any fight here. And that's the way I'm welcoming the General Manager of the Buffalo Bills, Brandon Bean. How are you, sir? Good to see you here. I'm good, Rich.

How are you, buddy? I come in peace. I come in peace. I come in peace too, buddy. Yeah, all that's off my chest.

I gotta be honest with you. I heard it. I heard it all the way out here in Los Angeles from Western New York. I wasn't even listening to the radio. I heard it. My goodness, you know. But I guess you were hearing some things locally there you wanted to address about the draft, Brandon?

Yeah, Rich, it was, you know, it's one of those things. Listen, you know, we just felt it was a defensive, heavy draft and it lined up with some of our needs. And, you know, it was one of those things you just, you hear something for a while and I just think there was a little bit of a narrative being pushed around here locally that we needed to, you know, address wide receiver.

We needed to do it in the draft. And it kind of started last year after Diggs. We moved on from Diggs and I truly understood the narrative. Going into the season last year, people are bringing up, you know, you traded Diggs.

Did you really, do you have enough answers there? And, you know, that was my point was I thought offensively, you know, we've got pretty much everyone back. For the most part, we swapped out a few pieces, which I think are going to help us even more.

But so I didn't feel like, you know, that was the narrative that made the most sense. And, you know, we signed Elijah Moore a couple of days later and they're like, see the needed receivers. Like, no, we're always trying to add talent. I just, we felt in this draft, it wasn't a heavy receiver, like lined up top to bottom. You're going to be able to get, you know, future starters in the fourth round. And so once you got past the first, you know, number of receivers, we were just like, man, we're just kind of adding two, not necessarily upgrading our group.

And so that was probably the pushback. Like, why are we, why is the two hour takeaway to start the day last week after our draft about not getting a receiver versus, you know, we needed D-line help. We needed additions in our secondary and we thought we were able to find some pieces that will fit nicely here.

I love the kid you got from Kentucky. Obviously, Maxwell Hairston jumped, you know, out of the, off the screen of NFL Network at the Combine and then off my NFL Network screen at the draft. I'm wondering if, did you notice that he was officially the hugger of the green room hugger? Because he was stationed at the table that was right by the tunnel that everybody had to walk past him to get to the stage. Were you, were you noticing that kid, Andre? I was not aware of that, to be honest.

I wasn't. We have the TVs on. We have you guys on. We enjoy that.

But sometimes we do turn it down if we're having calls with other teams. So I did not notice it. But after we selected him, our PR people and then the local media asked me about it. So I wanted to see it. And so they were showing me and it was cool.

Even the next day on GMFB, they were, they were talking about that as much as they were his play on the field. And I think it just, it backs up the character of this young man. And he was genuinely happy. I asked him when we pulled him in, I'm like, what was it? He goes, man, I had the perfect seat. He goes, I know most of these guys.

I've either trained with them, I've played with them, or I met them there. And he goes, it was awesome just to see their families, you know, and their agents and their people around them be so excited for them. And I wanted to, I wanted to get in the mix and celebrate with them too. Well, very rarely, Brandon, will I accept somebody explaining why they're turning the volume down on me, but I understand it. You got a job to do. I accept it.

Yeah, you got a job to do. But what did you like about Hairston going into the draft where you're sitting there at 30 and you're like, we're going to take him. We got him. Yeah.

Yeah, Rich. Even in our combine interview, we, I told him, don't run that fast. And I asked him what he was going to run. And he said something like 4-2, I think. And I said, well, if you run that fast, we're not going to get you.

And dang if he didn't, he didn't do it. But we were, you know, as it's going along, you know, you just feel that speed, Rich. You know, I was telling the media here, some guys test fast, some guys play fast, some guys do both.

I would say he does both. That speed that you witnessed and you called that day in India at the combine, you feel that on film. And I think, you know, Daniel Jeremiah pointed out just you see a play where Isaiah Bond's running a post route and he's in trail position. And Bond's got, you know, step or two on him. And just the closing speed, you know, that he possesses. He's got ball skills. You can see him play some zone eyes on the quarterback. And, you know, he got nicked up a little bit this year with a shoulder deal, but he was trying to play through it. I give him a lot of credit for that.

Some guys with his status may have shut it down and he tried to fight through it. And you took the first Sanders of the draft, Brandon. And you traded up to take T.J. Sanders. Why would you like out of him? Yeah, T.J. is a guy who was a big time basketball player in high school.

Kind of took up football late and got this scholarship from South Carolina, Rich. And he's just a guy that's got a lot of talent in there. And we think his best is yet to come. You know, inside rush, we felt at that point as we started day two of the draft, we felt like his inside rush was as good as anybody's on the board.

And that inside rush does not last long. And we were, you know, our second round selection, we had two was our first one was at fifty six. And we just felt very strongly with the grade we had on.

He's not going to be there at fifty six. And so if we're going to be aggressive, we stayed patient. Round one got Maxwell. If we want to truly add an inside rusher, let's go get this kid. We like it.

We've been around him and we think his best ball is yet, you know, kind of yet to come once we can kind of get our hands on him here. Brandon, being the GM of the Buffalo Bills here on the Rich Eisen Show, I'm going to ask you the same question as Jason Light. What is it like to be a general manager in a draft where you do not have to take a quarterback? You're not even thinking about it. You don't have to think about it. What is that like in this day and age, Brandon? Relief. That's what it's like.

It's you know, you got to have one. Everyone knows that's why you see teams be as aggressive. Just the way we were in twenty eighteen when we knew, you know, when when Sean and I got here, we were both on the same accord. We have, you know, this franchise had been 17 years without any postseason appearances and really had not had much success at all to the level, you know, of competing for a championship since Jim Kelly and that crew was out of here. So the first thing you look at is, you know, lack of stability at the quarterback position, which, you know, also was lack of stability in front office head coaches. And if we're going to make this thing and turn it around here in Buffalo and and not be putting our house up for sale in in two or three or four years, we better find a franchise quarterback. And fortunately, we were able to do that. So to have a guy like Josh, it's it's relief to not have to be in the quarterback business, you know, in free agency or the draft.

When when did you know he was your guy back in that day, Brandon? Yeah. I mean, I tell you, even just watching his film at Wyoming, there was just something about I don't know what it is.

It's truly rich. This is crazy. But it's like it's almost like a godlike feeling like, man, something is just attracting you to this guy and you just something about his film. It was just so exciting. And sometimes it was exciting plays that were incomplete passes that he got out of someone that had him, you know, in a headlock, almost trying to sack him. And he got out of it and didn't even complete the ball. And and that was, you know, it was just his tape was, you know, and I think this even as a young pro as he was ascending, I'm like, when Josh Allen walks out of the huddle, you know, something exciting is going to happen.

And maybe for the other team, you know, it may. But he's just an exciting player to watch. And so that attracted me, you know, and our staff to him. And then once you got to meet him and you just saw his intelligence and his leadership and all the tangibles, the best quarterbacks that we've seen in our lifetimes have just felt all that. And, you know, watching him grow here. But early on, I mean, that that first win we had, we were 18 point underdogs at Minnesota, his second start in twenty eighteen. And that was the leap over Anthony Barr.

And it was just like, holy cow, that was awesome. Don't ever do that again. And of course, he doesn't listen. He still leaves people sometimes.

But I don't know. I mean, it's just, you know, I can still remember a lot of the plays of his Wyoming film, even though that's been back since his twenty seventeen season. So you can remember the cut ups that that led you to, you know, which is that's that's you just we had a I mean, we truly rich. We had a 17 hour meeting one day that we started at eight a.m. and we finished at one a.m. with the Bugulas, Brian Dable, Sean McDermott, Joe Shane and myself. And we sat in there and we're, you know, because you want ownership to be behind this. And we went through all these quarterbacks of this draft and we literally watched every play that these guys were involved in run or pass. You know, and we had already seen him one hundred times.

But just to kind of go through ownership and how you know how I had it stacked. And we listened to points of views that people had. And that was probably a couple of weeks before the draft. At that point, it was like, how are we going to get our hands on this guy? Because we've made the playoffs the year before and we were at twenty one and twenty two. We went from twenty one to twelve. So at that point we were sitting at twelve.

How do we get all the way up to the top two or three if we're going to land Josh? And fortunately, he was still there and we were able to move to seven and get it. Is that why Josh was number seventeen, Brandon? Because that's the number of hours you're you're meeting. That is funny.

I didn't even think about that. Listen, I've had that meeting in my head for years. And that's that's my dumb self, never putting that two and two together. No, you in ten seconds put it together. Well, no, I'm my my coordinated producer, Mike Hoskins, who's a diehard member of Bill's Mafia, just got in my ear. So I'll give him credit for that story, even though there's an eye in rich and eyes and we're a team here on the good work. I appreciate that you made this day. Why do you think while you're talking about Josh Allen, like he had fifteen photographs ready to put up on the screen? Like literally, I love it. I love it.

There's a good one. Could be from his personal collection. But were you were you concerned that the Browns or Jets might take him off the board? Like, were you having white knuckles in that dress? I was very concerned.

You know, you're always trying to read signals and ask people that you think may be in the know. And, you know, I'm pretty sure I mean, you know, John Dorsey was the GM and Dorsey was a great GM. And still, he's done a heck of a job at helping Brad Holmes and that team in Detroit. And I'm pretty sure they were down to Josh or Baker. And so, you know, I'm I was very nervous that that he he would get selected there. And we felt like that, you know, they got when I worked together, I felt strongly that he was going to say, one, the Jets, we had heard, you know, were more in the Darnold camp, you know, than Josh. So at that point, it was like, where can we get to? And maybe it's not a team, you know, right past them that's going to take a quarterback.

But I was always also worried about teams, you know, beating us to the punch and trading in front of us, you know, to steal them. So we were trying, you know, even at four, Dorsey had another pick. He stayed there and took war, had a deal with Elway at five, but Elway said, you know, there's one player we like. It was Bradley Chubb. And so we finally, you know, speaking to Jason Light, you know, I'll always appreciate the deal that Jason was able to do. They had a quarterback at the time and they weren't in the market.

And fortunately, you know, we made the deal with them. And then just so much discussion these days about, you know, the makeup of a quarterback. And I mean, I remember what was it, accuracy issues that Josh, that was the knock, that was the red flag on him. Yeah, it was accurate.

It was accuracy rich. And I think the biggest thing that we, you know, it was two things. One, you know, Josh played all sports in high school. He was not this, you know, quarterback savant that we hear guys in coming out of middle school these days.

This guy's going to be the next whatever. Josh, you know, grew up on a cantaloupe farm, like just played all sports, never really just played football. He goes to junior college. He's got an email his way. He sends out a bunch of, you know, letters to all these Division 1 coaches.

Craig Bol takes him at Wyoming. And so he was, we felt like he was a raw piece of clay that had had limited coaching from, you know, just your base, your footwork, you know, your arm angle, release point, all that stuff. But then separately, we felt like some of the stats didn't back up the accuracy thing. If you just, so we kind of tabulated our own accuracy for each quarterback. If the ball should have been called, we gave him a, you know, a catch. And if it was, you know, if it was an interception that was tipped, not, you know, we tried to create our own stats for each quarterback in that class just to make it more comparable. And when we did that, we felt his accuracy percentage was closer. Not going to say he was up top.

He still had work to do. But when you put his DNA and just being a kind of a raw piece of clay, we felt this guy had a lot of potential to turn into what he's become. Well, I can confirm it worked, you know.

I'll confirm it. And just not to mix sports here, but I'll do it anyway, because, you know, the conversation about the big trade involving Luka Doncic with Dallas was that they were not all in on giving him the big, huge contract. And you just awarded one to Josh Allen.

So walk me through the process there with you and Josh and the mindset of generationally enriching him and keeping him in the fold in western New York, Brandon. Yeah, I mean, Rich, he's, you know, it's the second extension we've done for him. We did one, you know, as soon as we could after the 20 season, going into the 21 season, that first big deal. And we gave him, you know, Mahomes had done like a 10-year deal.

You know, he and his agents were not really up for that length of a deal. But I would say at that time we did a six-year extension with him. And we said, listen, if things get out of whack and you're playing to the level we know you can play at, we will look at it and we'll make an adjustment for you. And so after the prior season, you know, we had a brief conversation or two and we moved up a little bit of money. But we said, listen, let's get through this next season and, you know, we'll look at it, we'll see where you rank.

And he had fallen to 13th or 14th kind of on the quarterback APY pecking chart. And so we just felt, even if he had not won the MVP like the level he was playing, that we needed to make an adjustment. And so I had a lot of conversations with Terry Pagula, our owner, who's, you know, been so great to this city and our franchise just to give us the resources to do what we've done. And Terry was on board. And so it's one of those things, Josh and I had a conversation, Rich, as soon as our season ended earlier than we wanted. But as soon as it ended and I said, listen, I'm going to talk to Terry.

You can, you know, I'll be reaching out to his agent, Patrick Collins with CAA. They do a great job. And so we kind of got the ball rolling there and found a deal that, you know, rewards him. But I think also allows us to have some flexibility. Josh wants to win. He wants to be rewarded. Everyone wants to be respected. But he's, you know, he's trying his best to make sure it works within our cap structure.

All right. And so does giving him that contract mean you don't have to get him something off the registry, Brandon? That's a good one. I'm going to remind my wife for that. Don't overspend on the registry. Oh, no, no, no.

If she's anybody, if she's anything like my wife, you still have to get something off the registry. And if you're anything like me, hell no. I mean, there's, you know, hopefully there's good, hopefully there's good booze. Look at your zeros, man. You know, plus I guess, you know, I mean, come on.

He wouldn't, he wouldn't even notice what I brought him. What's a gravy boat? Come on.

What's a gravy boat? You know, when it comes down to it. Have you seen, have you seen sinners yet? Have you seen them?

No, I have not. You've got to. It's awesome.

I need to watch. You saw it, huh? Yes. And his future better half is incredible in it.

Yeah. I heard, I heard she was awesome. She, I tell you what, Rich, she is as humble as, as they come does not. I mean, she, she joined, she, she's done a lot of stuff with our local women, you know, here are the wives, girlfriends on the club.

And, and I've heard it not only from my wife, but so many other, like just how down to earth she is for the success she's had. And, and, uh, she just blends right in and it's, uh, it's a testament to, to her and to Josh, you know, he's the same exact way on his MVP speech brings up our mailman, slick Rick, and next thing you know, uh, the whole town's behind slick Rick, which is, which is so cool. It's so Buffalo. Uh, a couple of minutes, if you don't mind more Brandon being, uh, I know it's not your gig to, to, you know, make fans of another team feel maybe a little bit better, but you mentioned day ball and him being around when Josh got drafted, he just drafted a, a kid in Jackson dart, uh, you know, uh, I guess I I'll put it in Buffalo terms. Uh, it's not your job to make a team from New Jersey feel better. Um, but what, what can you tell giants fans about what day ball did with, with Josh Allen and, and, and his ability to maybe coach a kid up like Jackson dart brand?

Yeah. Well, I'm sure if, if Joe Shane made that selection that, you know, I know they went through Joe and I talked about their process, uh, as they were going through it, comparing it to the stuff that he, you know, he was a part of here. And so I know they extensively did a lot of the stuff that we did with the Baker Mayfield's the Josh shounds, the Rosen's all those guys, Donald.

And so, um, I feel confident in their process. And so if I'm a giants fan, these guys put these guys through the ringer to figure out if they can handle being the quarterback, not only of an NFL franchise, but of the New York football giants and that proud city and that proud team. So, uh, and listen, Josh was standing on the table here and tell you all the great things that Brian did, you know, for him and his development and, you know, Brian knows when to jump your ass.

He also know what knows when to patch you on the butt. And uh, you know, we're, we obviously, you know, when we're not playing those guys, we root for him, enjoyed the success that we had here with those guys. You hate to see him leave, but you're happy for that. And uh, I was glad to see, you know, John Merrick give those guys, you know, another shot this year. And, and it's cool to see them, you know, select a quarterback and then I'm sure they're excited to kind of get their hands on and get rolling.

But if I was a giant fan, I'd have a lot of confidence seeing the development that he, he got Josh Allen's career started and, and off to the, you know, the success that Josh has had. Okay. And then the last one for you, uh, do you ever envision what a parade in that town would look like? Brandon, you ever allow yourself that moment? You know, yeah, I do rich.

And every time I do the hair on the back of my neck stands up and it's doing it right now. It's just, um, it would be, you know, one of the greatest things ever. Um, you know, I don't know, I'd probably, I'd probably get in trouble, but it probably had my shirt off for doing something stupid, but, uh, with everyone else that it would, it would be amazing, um, to watch the city, the city deserves it. And um, I tell you it's, it fires me up every day and you listen, I hate, you know, I hate nothing more than coming in here and talking to the media after we, you know, we've come up short, you know, we've had some great years, but we have not reached what we're trying to get done and what I ultimately believe we will get done.

But um, yeah, it's rich. It would be, um, get your butt here. We can make that happen because it's, it's going to be, it's going to be epic. All right.

Uh, I, I would accept such an invitation. I'd love to see it with my own two eyes, um, that it would be something, uh, in the meantime, congrats on the draft, um, and, uh, in your downtime, that's a sure to come once the schedule's out. And if your quarter zip is any indication, hit him straight, um, good luck on, on Amen Corner. Nice quarter zip. I see that.

Uh, and let's, and let's make this a tradition unlike any other after a draft, Brandon. I appreciate the time. No, I love it. Rich. Good to see you buddy. Right back at you. We've got the Buffalo Bills right here on the Rich Eisen show. As you know, Josh Allen's one of our favorites and Hoskins, it's really weird. You had all of those photographs ready, like a loving collage of Josh Allen.

You got one more you want to show everybody before you go to our break, Mike, you know, I don't know if you got one. No, I'm sure it's, it's somewhere in the computer, you know, it's so funny to go see sinners in theaters near you, the critique of quarterbacks and the evaluation nonstop. But 2018 isn't that long ago. And Josh Allen was a 56% completion percentage guy in college.

What a silly number though, right? The scrutiny though, that he would be under now, it feels like he wouldn't have been given the time to develop whereas Buffalo was really patient with him. And obviously he's turned into a super duper star and, and, and Day Bulls are an important part of that. I just kind of wanted to throw that out there.

But as you know, if you don't win games, you're, you're, you're, you're a dunce. So and the giants are just like, we saw what happened in Buffalo, but they don't have their Josh Allen. Nope.

Sliding door too. What if Cleveland took Allen first? Would he be on his fourth team like Baker Mayfield? Great question.

As you know, it's always a nurture versus nature situation. Always, always, always look at Sam Donald now. Page coming off of a terrific season in Minnesota, you know, a lot of people still need to see it in Seattle, I guess. But now in his fifth team, Jets, Carolina, San Francisco, yeah, five teams. Crazy. Baker's on his fourth because that, by the way, one of his most impressive outings maybe ever.

Remember he started for the Rams on like 24 hours in the playbook, right? Went on Tuesday, started Thursday, won the game. Jeez, man. 844-204-RICH number to dial here on the Rich Eisen Show. Don't go anywhere.

Albert Breer, top of hour number three. Bring me better. Okay.

This is not a drill. Get ready because Mission Impossible, the final reckoning hits theaters May 23rd and I'm counting down the days. This is it. The biggest practical action movie ever made. Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are back pushing the limits of what action cinema can do. We're talking real stunts, real danger, and real edge of your seat intensity all shot in jaw-dropping locations around the world. Did you see that trailer? Tom Cruise free-fallen through fire, Haley Atwell back in action, and the whole crew reunited.

Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales. It's like the ultimate global team-up. This franchise started almost 30 years ago and it just keeps getting better. Mission is more than a movie. It's a high-stakes ride built on loyalty, friendship, sacrifice, and seriously gutsy stunts. So yeah, I'm beyond excited to see Mission Impossible, the final reckoning on the biggest screen possible in a theater, May 23rd. This summer, the mission is clear.

My sleep number setting is 60. My wife's is 70, just 10 numbers apart. But it means the world of difference because we can adjust our side of the bed to the exact firmness that we want and allows for working out or recovery. It's game changing. So if you're in the market for a new bed, you should stop at a Sleep Number store right now.

See your store or sleepnumber.com for details. What is the furthest you've ever thrown a football? Josh? The furthest was in Wyoming, so I did get a little assistance from the elevation. But it was right around 83 yards. Right around 83? Yeah. Are we rounding up or are we rounding down at the 83, Josh?

We were probably rounding up just a little bit, but yeah, 83 was the number. So I don't know, am I looking up to see if you're playing in Denver at all so you can get a little bit of some altitude? Can you do that in an NFL game, you think? I mean, there was one game, I think it was my rookie year against the Dolphins. I threw a ball, getting near as hard as I can, and my receiver was 60, 70 yards downfield and I overthrew him just by a little bit. You air-pailed him.

I did. And that was just one of those, I didn't feel like I threw it as hard as I could, but my hip fired so hot and it just came out of my hand extremely well and it was spinning and it was a little warm in Miami, so it might have flown a little farther. But it was just one of those that just kind of even blew me off guard. Something I've toned down a little bit, though, and I feel like I've got a little more control on my ball right now.

Oh, understood. No, accuracy is something that you definitely have improved on, as we have seen. So let's just walk me through this at some point during a game in your career, let's just say it could even happen this weekend against New England, where you have to throw a Hail Mary to win it. What yardage do you say to your coach, I still got this, give it to me, your own what? I know I can get the ball in the air and get it probably a good four or five yards even in, so I'm probably around the 35.

Your own 35? Yeah. Okay.

Because, you know, you're probably going to have to avoid a rush a little bit, even if they're coming at you with three man, you're going to have to roll out a little bit. So right around your own 30 something yard line, you can get it in there. You think so? Yeah, I think so. Unbelievable. Back here on the Rich Eisen Show on the Roku Sports Channel. That's Bill's-a-palooza, man. Oh yeah. Hoskins. Unbelievable. I love it.

He's on cloud nine. Back on the Rich Eisen Show radio network, sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk, furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry. Grainger has the right product for you.

Call clickrainger.com. We'll just stop by. Terzo in Iowa. All rise. What's up, Terzo? How are you, sir?

Terzo. Well, Rich, what's up, TJ Brockman, Del 2.0. What up, man? Hey, Rich, before I get to basketball, we need to talk about this family feud, my man. I need you guys to dominate the DP show.

Well done and done. Listen, Terzo, all five of us are not only excited, none of us are nervous. Seton's already flat out admitted he's nervous, and all of us are dedicated and maybe a little bit pissed off that Jay Felley has been accused of being, who's that guy? Yeah. I heard that.

I was like- He's been put on a pay no mind list. Not to interrupt, but Feller sent us a text. He may have misheard what he thought he heard.

Guess what? So essentially we started- It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter now. I heard it live. Didn't Michael?

They pretty well said the guy that no one's ever seen, and I was like, he's on probably more than Del 2.0. By the way, by the way, don't make us count dates. I have it. I have the calendar.

I actually hear more. Well, and Rich, I need you guys to win this because if DP makes it into Iowa like he's saying he's going to and makes it to Carl's place before you guys and then beat you on the Family Feud, I'm going to have a bad day. You and me both. Didn't Michael Jordan once, who did he hold it against? It was completely phantom. Oh, it was Bradford Smith. Bradford Smith. Poor guy. Right? Like Jake Felleys are Bradford Smith. That doesn't matter. Yes, I was upset about that.

We'll accuse Dan of disrespecting, and we'll use it against him even though we don't have a leg to stand on it. What's the NBA stuff you want to talk about, Terzo? Well, Brockman, I think every time you probably saw, oh, Horford take a three. He missed to the left every single time. I was counting each time, and I think in the fourth quarter alone, he missed six threes that were straight off to the left, like couldn't find a decent shot.

No, it was terrible. Well, I'll tell you what, man. You know, first part of my tease, without Porzingis, the OG is going to get a bunch of playing time, maybe more than what they wanted, unless Luke Cornette can give you some of those minutes, and we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens.

Well, and Jalen Brunson, he's that dude, man. He's a dog, so I don't know if the Celtics are out of the woodwork yet. I think this is going to be a fun series, and I think the rest of them are going to be as well, too, and I kind of have a feeling the Warriors win tonight in all four underdog wins.

All four road teams. That would be hilarious. That would be great.

That would be great first blood. Thanks, Terzo. Terzo and I are here on the program. What's today again? You said that this day in history is a significant day in history.

Yeah, yeah. May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister broke the four-minute barrier for the mile, first time ever in history that happened. I'm just wondering, what is something we've never seen in sports that you would like to see? Because obviously, in the 50s, the idea of breaking the four-minute mile was just ludicrous. So what is something? Is it a nine-second, 100 meters? You know what I mean?

Something crazy like that. This just in, I'm not focused on track and field and running fast. That's not my focus. Is it the IZEN 5840? If I could run a 5840, yeah, I got to figure out how I'm going to get to the Chargers facility.

I'm going to have to figure all that stuff out. Maybe you could walk. This is Los Angeles. Even Jim. Even Jim. It's close.

Even Mr. Attack each day took a car ride here. Right down the street. Yeah.

Drivecast every day. How about this? How about a 60-game hit streak in Major League Baseball? Oh, yeah. Now you're talking.

Oh, yeah. Because, and I'll just screw it, and it would be Aaron Judge, keep it in the family, keeping it in the Yankee family, and having Aaron Judge go for 60 games in a row with a hit. How about that? The hitting streak is one of my favorite all-time sports records at all, but wow, that would be crazy. The most exciting play in Major League Baseball, in a baseball game, is a triple, because you watch somebody run, and you watch somebody try to retrieve the ball and make a play on somebody like, hey, you thought you had an extra base hit? Guess what? You're just in a very long out. But you also see how it's the longest play in Major League Baseball, unless it's Big Poppy hitting a home run.

Yeah, please. Then that's like, what, a minute and a half? Yeah. He's a big guy.

Okay. But it's the longest play, right? And it's extended. You watch it. You watch it unfold. You see the ball land.

It's exciting for home field, for the home fans, right? A hit streak is kind of like a triple, because it lasts so long. That would be like a two-month story. Oh, yeah.

That would take you through the summer. And if somebody, if Aaron Judge threatened Joe DiMaggio, like even Pete Rose's National League record, which was 44. That was amazing. I saw one of those games back then. I was just watching it go and go and go. At what point does someone, do you start paying attention to it? Because of Bobby Witt just had a 22 gamer end it over the weekend. It's got to be 40. 40. Or 30. 30 still exists.

30, you're kind of like, oh, okay. They showed a stat during the Yankee broadcast last night when I was watching it in between the missed three points in Boston, that Bobby Witt and Junior and Aaron Judge lead Major League Baseball right now with only four zero-hit games. Wow.

Four. Man, Judge had a little hitting streak going, actually. It didn't get a hit last night.

It just shows you how tough it is. That's hard today. I don't know. What else could there be?

You can call us at 844-204-RICH, number two dial. Judge had a 14 gamer. I mean, no- Which one would you like to see for the first time? I don't know. Maybe 60 touchdown passes and a Joe Burrow-like season in the NFL. What do you have, sir? Well, since we've never seen this, there's a guy named Wilt Chamberlain.

He put up 100. Oh, look at you. Did you just make this Arts and Crafts? So hold on a second. Not to finish here, not to interrupt, but did you just come up with the idea you're about to unpack? While you were talking. And then while I'm talking, do a little Arts and Crafts in your area to come up with a 100-point sign, just like the Wilt Chamberlain famous photograph.

I was going to say the same thing, too. And this is very impressive. And you used markers that are just lying around there.

You got pens and whatever and a piece of paper. Well, I mean, it also looks weird that you'd put a 10- oh, you're about to reveal. About to reveal. Okay, my bad. Sorry.

Go ahead. You know, so I'd like to see- 101. And I have somebody just hold it up. And you get- hold on a minute. So you get past 100 on a free throw, a two-point shot or a three-point shot?

I mean, I didn't even put that much thought into it. How about a grandmama? It has to be a three. How about a Larry Johnson moment?

Oh, a big L? Four-point play. A three to get 100. Oh, and a four-point play. And then the free throw to put you at 101.

Yeah, I didn't really think how he'd get there. I'm just- I'm about the style point. Very good.

I appreciate that. This could be Kaitlyn. This could be Kelsey. By the way, is that the number of points the Fever scored against Team Brazil in Iowa? Seems like it, right? Did you see that?

They sold out in less than an hour and the average ticket price in secondary ticket market in Iowa was over 650 bucks. So it was tens of millions of dollars that she created or the Fever created by bringing Kaitlyn Clark back to the campus. They're not going back there unless it's her. So we can just- No, no, of course not. We can just credit her. No, I know that. Exactly. Okay, right. So Kaitlyn Clark won Kaitlyn Clark with 101 point game.

See, I called my shot about what I wanted and who did it. Let's go. Stiffel's like, Luca is the best shot to get 100 to be honest. Luca? Luca?

Luca? I mean, he has the three point shooting and he gets to the foul line a lot. And again- That would be key. I mean, as you saw after being eliminated, he, JJ Reddick, and Rob Palenka went to denier in Los Angeles. He went to Craig's. That's your spot.

It is. Well, we've all been there before. I've never been. Never been? Never been? I've got to go. I've never been either.

You've never been either? I'm not that fancy. We'll have a football season kickoff dinner at Craig's.

I hear it's delicious. And it'll be- Drinks? On a house. On the house. I'll pick it up.

I'll pick it up. I love when you pay. Is Felly invited?

Because he's on the page. Which means every time we go out. No, it's just the four of us. No, no, no.

Felly's invited. Of course he is. Of course. Exactly. Exactly.

Yeah. At any rate, long story short, the bread there, incredible. So I mean, I don't know if they were testing Luca, because that would test me going to Craig's. And when the bread hits the table, oh my God. No, the real test- I could make it. I literally made meals out of it. Dessert. I mean- Isn't there chicken parmesan sauce?

The best thing is when the bread hits the table and then Susie's like, I have to hit the restroom, she leaves the table. So I have free rein. Free rein.

It's bread. Oh my God. Oh God. I love that.

I'm using that logic. Oh yeah. Free rein. Oh God. I go in with both fists.

That's when the bread's put right in front of you. I shouldn't have given away. I shouldn't have given away my series. Yeah. Luca just said it. Damn it. You know she's driving around listening. Yup.

That's it. I'm going to get a text in three, two, three, two. And hang on. You will never get free rein. She must be on a women's sports now Zoom.

Never get free rain bread. For tomorrow's broadcast. I have one. It's actually interesting. What do you have?

What do you have? Five goals in a period. Oh. Four have been done. Never five.

Is that really the thing you want to see? By one player. By one player. You just pick something. I love hockey. You guys know I like hockey.

Give me a player. Who is it? It's gotta be. It's gotta be. He's going to be retired soon. I know. Five goals in a period. We never thought we'd see Wayne's goal record being fixed.

Being broken. So. Yeah. Right. You got one? You're the one who threw it out there.

You don't even have one. I know. I was going to do the hundred points actually. Oh.

Great minds think alike. But I'm glad TJ did it, because there's no way you would have done arts and crafts on the spot like TJ did. There's no way you would have brought that production value. I got a lot of stuff over here, so I probably wouldn't have done that. TJ's a... Did you crush kindergarten? Oh, definitely. Definitely. I skipped it. No. I mean, I think I'd like to see... This is great. I think I'd like to see Drake May go 18-0 and then finish the job 19-0.

TJ gets after a fairly few. That would be great. Well, it would be 17-0. Yeah. Oh.

Do I have to go 20-0 again? Well, that's what you gotta do. Oh. Yeah. Okay.

A 20-0 NFL season and Drake May doing it. Yeah. Okay. Seems doable.

Yeah. I mean, could the Giants beat him in that final game? Dreams can come true if you asked me this question yesterday.

I'm like, I want to see 45 missed three pointers in an NBA playoff game. And then it happened. Man. By the way... So I gotta come up with another one.

And then Drake May loses to Arch Manning in the Super Bowl. Oh. Great. So TJ can buy everyone a boat with his card. Oh, man. I would be sailing down the... In all seriousness, though...

I don't even know where I'd be sailing. In all seriousness, though, what has to happen for this card that you have of Arch Manning... Cards. Cards. Yeah.

There's a couple. To actually manifest your dream of being able to buy a boat and take us on a spin in Mike's Marina. I've already said... What would have to happen? I've already seen this movie, Arch Manning, okay? He's going to have a bust. He's going to have a gold jacket. He's going to have about five Super Bowls, and that's going to be it.

And I'm going to be floating down the river. So now, if you had Tom Brady rookie cards or Michigan cards, would that have caused you to make somebody buy a boat? I don't know, because the card market, I don't know how it was back then. Now...

I mean, now, if you had held onto him for 25 years, yes. Yeah, you're going to wait and get the boat. You're not getting the boat. Yeah, you got to wait. Interesting.

My guy, Arch. And when I say interesting, I'm thoroughly uninterested in not making it up. I couldn't be less interested. That's rude. No, no, I'm interested in you buying a boat. Okay, because you know what you want.

I'm like other people. What would you name the boat? Oh, great question. That's a good question.

You would have to be called Arch. Well, you would think, but I got to pay respect to the GOAT, the greatest of all time, so I might call it the Halle Berry. Wow. Speaking of Halle Berry, we're later on in this program going to review some of the best athlete looks on the red carpet at Medcala last night. Did you see her look? I did, which is why I said, speaking of Halle Berry. Halle Berry once waved to me and Ed Reed at the Oscars. I have, I've told my Halle Berry story here, back in the day when I used to jog to prepare for my 40 yard dash, by back in the day, not anymore, I was running in the area and she was picking one of her kids up from being from a bus stop and I ran by and I sucked in the gut and kept running like right past her as if, like, I don't know what I was thinking. You were thinking, that's Halle Berry.

It's just a literally, figuratively a gut reaction. Do you know I have a Halle Berry autographed picture here? You've got that here. Yeah.

What do you, my goodness. TJ's got it. TJ's bag of tricks. His corner is amazing over there.

He's got arts and crafts. Every day is show and tell. Oh my God. We got three hours. You know what I'm saying?

We do one show Saturday night, sells out at Friday, sells out at Wednesday, at Thursday, doing four shows. Guys, a little treat, Super Bowl tickets on me, good seats. $125,000.

Well, you're going for the primo primo if you're talking about that. I didn't know. My wife called and she goes, they just took $125,000 out of our account, is there something going on? Do you need to talk to me about something? Are you going to South Africa for a month? I was like, no, we're going to the Super Bowl. I don't even like either of the teams.

I don't even like either of the teams. Now that this is your rookie experience, mistake is you need to check the prices before offering to take people in primo seats. Or waiting until the whole line comes over and they go, will you get 15 tickets?

Do you want some? I went, are you kidding me? One guy's like, well, you got to sit with my parents. I was like, I am getting along great with parents.

This is your dad's drink because I flack out in front of your family like I do my family. This is the rub. Oh, no. They don't tell you your seats until Friday. Get out of here. You don't know where you're sitting. I don't even know who I gave the money to. Oh my God. I don't even know. My manager is going to pay me 125,000.

I gave it to somebody. I feel like Bernie Madoff's client. I'm just sitting there going, so you think Bitcoin's going to really do well? I hope this money turns out.

Matt Damon said we're cool. I heard Tom Brady's involved, this should be a win-win, Rob. I'm sorry I'm laughing so hard and crying. I don't even know when I got my ticket.

It's the greatest heist ever. I'm going to the puppy bowl. Oh, if I have bad seats, I'm going to be living. I hate this Super Bowl.

I'm going to be rooting against both teams. Oh my God. Oh my God. My wife is so angry at me.

She thought you were Rob. I should have helped out so many poor children. They're just throwing money away. We have to know. There's people mining coal bombs, and I'm sitting here waiting. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. I'm sitting here with...

I'm sweating and laughing, and I'm not the one $125,000 in the hole. Oh my God. of Bert Kreischer's appearances, especially the Super Bowl, are on our YouTube channel. The one with him with Tom Segura sticking around for another second because Gronk and Edelman showed up and then we were all taking shots of his Osos vodka to the face like straight from the bottle. I mean the bottle's right over there. The actual bottle? The actual bottle that we all took to the face at the Super Bowl is right on the shelf. Did we have them all signed? We didn't have all four of them sign that bottle. No, but I still have it.

Yeah, it's right there. We drank a whole bottle in 45 minutes. Yada, yada, yada. I was really sick about four days later.

We're going to take your calls. We're asking about what you want to see in sports that's never been done before. Something that we always want to see in sports that has done before will not be done this year. The Kentucky Derby that happened over the weekend, a horse named Sovereignty beat out a horse named journalism.

A little bit too much on the nose for what's going on in the real world these days. But his also publisher was a horse too. Okay. Sovereignty, according to the company that runs Pimlico Racecourse and the Preakness in beautiful Baltimore, Maryland has announced sovereignty will not be run. Oh, come on.

You should have to. No triple crown this year. If you win the Derby, you should have to run the Preakness. What are we doing? I don't know. Maybe he's saving the life of the horse.

Who the hell knows, Matt? American Faroah. That's, you know, back in the day, who knew that American Faroah, otherwise known as American Pharaoh, misspelled.

I got to get it. It's not my fault. There are many Faroahs, you know, in crypts, in pyramids, you know, that are turning around and they're turning over in their crypts.

At any rate, who knew back in the day, like we should be soaking it in. I still get credit for saying American Faroah. I led that horse to the triple crown.

I agree. You dragged that horse across the finish line. Yeah.

Like what is, what is Kareem's line, an airplane, a Bob Lanier up and down the court? Yeah, that was me. That was me dragging that horse across the finish line. Did you hear on the broadcast that all the horses that raced were descendants of secretaries in the Kentucky Derby? Man, Secretariat was winning. I mean, that's the goat.

The goat. He was getting busy. That's the perk of winning the triple crown. Secretariat, you went to many lengths. Because we know you get to put your balls apart.

I'm trying to be subtle. I was very proud of that line, that Secretariat went to many lengths, because as we know, he won the Belmont by 30 something. And horses have, you know, they stop.

They have a lot of time that's done in the field. That's all I'm saying. Save this for Family Feud, because Steve Harvey would make a meal out of all of this stuff. Take that for data. Secretariat was like the Genghis Khan of horses.

You know, he populated all of Asia and Secretariat. How about that? Well, it's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here. It's great to be here.

It's great to be here. How about that, Rich? He lived in the 70s. So how many, how far removed are we from his kids, kids, kids? His, uh, I mean, it's worth a lot. You know what I mean? One day, and I imagine that day is today, Antonio Cromartie is a grandfather, right? Oh, is he?

Good question. The Secretariat of Football. The Secretariat of Football. Oh my God.

There'll be a lot. One, one day there's a Superbowl could be played with all of Antonio Cromartie's descendants. Think about this. Superbowl 67, a Cromartie at wide receiver, a Cromartie on at cornerback, and they're just covering it. One of the students from Pete Carroll's class that was telling you about last week, Sam Spitz is sitting right here observing. I don't think we're putting our best foot forward. I think we are. You can't get this type of horse talk anywhere else. I guess for Antonio, the game is life as well, right? We're having a good time here.

And everyone's like, what do you talk about in the show? And in that respect, to bring it all together, we will not be seeing a triple crown this year. Ah, bummer. Tragic.

All right. And that is one thing that we've seen before that we want to see. And something we've never seen before that we'd all like to see. People are lined up to tell us. Albert Breer, we've seen him before. We always want to see him next.
