Welcome, fellow adventurers, to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand-new show from the guys you know.

I'm talking, of course, about the Band of Brothers. My name is Keith, and I'm the producer for Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life. Hey, Joyriders. New week, new joyride. So, as many of you know, we have a hotline here at the Masculine Journey headquarters.

It's called the Masculine Journey. Comments, Complaints, Suggestions, and Prayer Hotline, or the MJCCSPH for short. And yes, I'm still obligated to say that every time.

That being said, we don't have any of that this week. We do, however, have a request from one of our listeners, which is news to me because I wasn't aware that we took requests, but apparently we do, so I'm a roll with it. So introducing the Masculine Journey Comments, Complaints, Suggestions, Prayer, and Request Hotline, or the MJCCSPH for short.

Here is the request. Dear Band of Brothers. Hello.

My name is Herbert Collins, and I'm a big fan of the show. I will be celebrating my 72nd birthday this Saturday. All praise be to God. And it would mean a lot to hear one of your world famous old man jokes. Thank you.

And keep up the good work. I should know, Joyriders, that Herbert put world famous in quotations. So we hear you, Herbert. We hear you loud and clear.

We got you covered. So happy birthday, Herbert. Fellas, take it away. This topic came to me last week when I was listening to the song that Sam had submitted for last week's topic. And my take on it was that this man was kind of living a miserable life. It'd been two years since he talked to God.

He's obsessing and stressing over little things and didn't know who he'd be if he was happy. So it got me to thinking of the topic this week, and that is how are we walking with God and working on our own self-care to not be in the same place as the singer last week. And talking with the guys back and forth over the topic, it kind of got changed into two topics in one. And the other topic is there's also this time component because he says it's been two years since he talked to God.

And the other part of the topic is, you know, it's kind of like life is short and we need to work on these things that make us happy, that make us better people, that make us closer to God now because life is so short. Chris Well, good. Thank you.

That does help. And you actually have the first clip. So you want to tell us a little bit about your clip and then we'll play it? Steve First clip, okay.

This is a bluegrass song by The Darlings from the Antigua of the show. And it just says, it states that life is short. And it is, I know personally just recently I've started counting the past in decades rather than years instead of saying something happened years and years ago. It's just a lot easier to say, you know, three decades ago or something. So, you know, I don't know about the other folks here. Maybe Harold measures time and scores. So from the guys on Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
