Well, we're waiting. Kick the tires and light the fires, Big Daddy. I feel the need, the need for speed. Oh, get on with it! Yes, get over there!

All right, all right. The joyride starts now. Welcome to all you joyriders out there. This is a fantastic show from the guys you know. I'm speaking of none other than the Band of Brothers.

My name's Keith, producer for such fine Truth Network programming like The Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you can expect to laugh and smile with godly men who want. Nothing more than to honor and glorify God, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the joyride. Hey, joyriders!

So this week the guys are talking about God's humor. You know, when you think about it, there are all kinds of examples of God's humor all over. Take the animal kingdom, for example. To be more specific, the Allopolia melanoluka, or what is more commonly known as the giant panda. See y'all learned something today.

I tell you, you want a good laugh, then you should listen to the Jawrod like all of the time. But after that, watch videos of pandas. How they manage to survive in the wild is beyond me.

Now, before we get to the clip, I have one more example of God's humor. It comes from Numbers eleven eighteen through twenty. Say to the people, consecrate yourselves for tomorrow. You shall eat meat. For you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, "Oh, that someone would give us meat to eat, for we were well off in Egypt." Therefore, the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

You shall eat not one day, not two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days, but a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and become loathsome to you. Because you have rejected the Lord who is among you and have went before him, saying, Why did we ever leave Egypt? To me, when I read that, I think about parents trying to take their kids somewhere fun for vacation, and the kids are complaining the whole time. See, God knows exactly what that feels like. Is there any story in the Bible about the disciples fishing?

That isn't humorous. I mean, there is something funny in each one of those. You got John counting every fish and the catch was breaking the nets. You got Jesus on the shore after the resurrection, cooking for them. You catch anything, boys, and reminding them of.

First meeting for some of them. No, he he was paid to scale, and he put his money where his mouth was. Oh goodness!

Something smells. That doesn't hook you? I don't know what else. Must be fishing. Yeah, those hook lines are right there.

Yeah, yeah. You know, and Jim and those fishing stories. You know, he he tells them two different times. Casting it on the other side of the boat. And they're like, we fished all night, but okay, you know, and that to me that's humorous, is you know, and what do they do?

They catch a bunch of fish, so there there is humor in that.

So, you did make a statement that I'm not really going to challenge because I mostly agree with it, but we have senses of humor because God does, but Robby showed us something. That I've always thought was amusing. How many people do you know that really don't have a sense of humor, but everybody thinks they have a sense of humor? You know anybody like that? I could be one of them for you guys.

I know. I've seen the folks that the jury's still out whether they have one or not.

So generally speaking, everybody does have a sense of humor.

Some of it is buried way, way down, and some people theirs are broken pretty badly. But probably a few of those in this crowd.

So, but one thing I would challenge is looking at how often humor is used to illustrate a point. Right, we're going to have a lot of clips today that that talk about that. That, you know, where you have God in the mix in in the story, but every one of them has a purpose and a point to it. You know, it's not humor just for humor's sake. It's humor to make a point.

And I think there's something about humor that gets around that logical part of you. You know, it kind of takes you in a different direction that you're not expecting, and and kind of hits home a little easier than it would if I had to process it and think it through. Humor just kind of bypasses some of that and and lets it land where it needs to land. And I think that's at least for me, that's why God's tended to use it, is because He can make a point quicker with humor than just about anything else. You know, the fascinating thing also for me is, you know, if I ask many people to co-host or or you know.

Guest host, Kingdom Pursuits, and I always tell my riddles and jokes. And next to none of them that I've ever asked to do it can really do. You can do it, Dandy, but most people can't. And it's a matter of simply timing. I was going to say taste.

What kind of category did I just get put in?

So, from the guides of masculine journey, I am Keith, and we'll see you down the road.
