Welcome, fellow adventurers, to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand-new show from the guys you know.

I'm talking, of course, about the Band of Brothers. My name is Keith, and I'm the producer for Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life. Hey, joyriders. Welcome to a brand-new episode of the Masculine Journey Joyride.

So this week, I have a bit of a treat for y'all. The clip you will hear is from a live edition of The Masculine Journey from the Kernisville Community Center way back in 2016. The guys just finished playing a clip from Billy Madison. The clip was about how Billy was calling up a guy he used to bully when they were younger and how Billy was truly sorry for how he treated him and was seeking forgiveness. Okay, let me just dust this record off first.

That's a lot of dust. Okay. Here it is. Here's the clip. And that was what Billy was really doing, right? He didn't know what else was going on there. So his motive was just, I want to do the right thing.

I want to make amends for something that happened all these years ago. And the thing that actually I like about the clip is that it's part of the character arc of Billy Madison, in this case, that he is sincere. He really does feel remorse for this. And he is at the point of humility saying, hey, you know, I'm not the person I was trying to be or whatever, and that he needed that forgiveness. You know, I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, but in that scene of the movie, he'd just gone through what he put that other guy through. Exactly. So he experienced, and when he realized, you know, how that guy must have felt, that's when humility started kicking in.

He was walking in somebody else's shoes. You're exactly right. That's exactly what happened. And you've got a wonderful story, Al, about, you know, how we've got to deal with this. And that in itself is like apologizing to God.

And we've got to come to God and say, hey, I'm not the judge here. You're right. And when I was in high school, and I lived in a very dysfunctional family and I dated this girl and she was probably the best girlfriend I'd ever had up until my wife that I'm currently with. And no, I'm not being forced to say that. You still plan on being with her. You said currently being with her. Yeah, my wife. Yeah. Okay. This is an awkward conversation. So from the guys at Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
