This is dry when Josh drives weekday afternoon.

We are two days out from draft day and Attila has easily become the most fascinating prospect in this year's class. There are some like me who believe he's the best quarterback in the draft. Others think he's too big of a risk we had Jonathan Jones on the show yesterday. He had him dropping all the way to number 17 and his CBS box draft to me whenever there's this much information to consume. It's wise to take a step back and look at the broader picture imposition puzzle pieces in the places that make the most set for to law. There's only one team that I think makes too much sense that team is the Los Angeles Chargers. I don't see to a falling pass number six look at just the moves they've made in the off-season and I think it becomes pretty clear. It starts with the trade involving the Carolina Panthers to he's going to need protection. Like any quarterback and the Chargers.

They traded away a Pro bowl left tackle and exchange for the Panthers Pro bowl guard Trey Turner Trey Turner be in five years younger. About five years younger then Okun. They also signed in the off-season, right at the start of the free agency. Brian Bilotta very good right tackle for the Green Bay Packers. Everybody was thinking these moods were connected to Tom Brady and maybe they were the Chargers. They had their pitch to Tom. I'm sure it was something like listen were going to protect you with Trey Turner here to protect you with this right tackle Bilotta we just brought in, and to solidify it even more.

You know, we have great weapons. We are willing to commit our number six pick to an offense of tackle one of these great tackles like Judge Rick wills or Thomas or Trista Moore's if you decide to be a charter Brady past and with the tablet instead. So I think a lot of people wrote off LA saying and their plan was spoiled. They did everything they can to get Tom Brady, but anytime you're a CEO or you're the head of a business or general manager of a company you're trying to think about plans a BCD because life is such that it never happens the way that you always initially planned for it to the Chargers lose out on Brady. I believe, to law, to be plan B because once again, they sure about the offense of line and what makes me think they value to more than Herbert, is this what is the most valuable position on the old line. What's the second most valuable position on offense altogether. After the quarterback. Usually it's the left tackle, because why they protect the quarterback's blindside.

That's because most quarterbacks are right-handed to what is it he's left-handed so I think it's pretty darn significant that the Chargers had assured up the right side of that old line Trey Turner Pro Bowler Brian Malaga right tackle for Aaron Rodgers. The last handful years. I don't think that's coincidental. If you're gonna bring a life had a quarterback, you better lock up the right side of the law and you got Bilotta got a pretty good rate because of your blog doesn't know who is going to be protected. For he doesn't always get a protect for left the self. I think that's good to be the plan for LA going further Tom to Lascaux GM he's answered all quarterback questions pretty much the same way you pick up Brady I were to evaluate every other option and were going to be focused on the draft is tie Rod Taylor to be your guide moving forward. We like Taira but were also good to be focused on the draft. Are you looking at cam Newton are evaluating all of her options but would like Taira that were focused on the draft tell it right to. They are going to try and fulfill their needs at quarterback through the draft. I don't know if they're going to trade up to take two they might not have to. I think the Chargers in the end will be taking to at number six Chargers there. One of the five most aggressive teams in the way when I think aggressive teams. I think Tampa Bay but just traded for Rob Gronkowski and has a 43-year-old quarterback and aging coach that came out of retirement just before last year.

They are pushing their chips to the center of the table saying were trying to win right now the Colts are doing that. They just signed Philip Rivers 38 years old. The Texans are doing that Bill O'Brien trading for Laramie topsail trading for Kenny stills sacrificing draft capital. Let's get help this team in the future. Trading away a second rounder for Brandon Cox in an effort to try and win right now. That's what the Texans are trying to do the Falcons, Thomas Dimitrov and Dan Quinn their jobs in question so what are they do they sign Todd Gurley there's a report that they are trying to get into the top five in the draft and pick Jeff Okuda that's according to Chris Mortensen yesterday. That's an aggressive team. Those coaches that GM doesn't know if they can survive another year without making it to the postseason. I thought the LA Chargers are in a similar spot double digit wins two years ago, but with and often times unreliable owner dysfunctional organization in LA who knows if Anthony Linsky to keep his job, but they don't make the playoffs again. The Chargers, you're either selling hope your selling success. If you're not playoffs what you have to sell Herbert.

I don't know if that's going to sell to law most talked about prospect. No pressure.

You could sit on behind Taylor this year the same way the Cleveland Browns plan to two years ago would Baker be in the back of the Taylor the Chargers. They have a new stadium.

This would generate a buzz. He is the most noteworthy draft pick being taken this year.

Even more than Jonesboro.

People know to he is the move most polarizing name.

I think he is the highest upside.

It's a gamble, but the Chargers are in a position to be aggressive so I think it just makes too much sense.

Take a step back, look at the broader picture to what is the Chargers got on Twitter at sports of Triad 336-777-1600 is the phone number if you want to chime in. In 20 minutes were to be joined by Jim's oaky from the Panthers radio network to get the Panthers side of the story. He's been on the Panthers radio network since their inaugural season in 1995. Now anybody is been listening to this show for the last month and change probably has gotten this message, but we've purposefully on this show have stayed away from talking about much of the coronavirus my advertisers, my bosses you in the audience when you listen to sports radio you expect to hear my expertise on sports. I'm not an expert on contagious viruses, sports radios often and escape. And that's how were going to keep things however I have been reading a lot and with good news we've seen in the last 72 hours. I do feel comfortable enough to say I expect all professional sports are going to return at some point this year. Listen to what I'm saying there all professional sports knowledge, there are still a lot of red tape. There what happens with universities is a good to be online classes are they going to be on campus what you do with the nonrevenue generating sports this fall I said, I'm still optimistic. Gonna find a way to recoup TV money there because that's how a lot of athletic departments are funded, whether it's the ACC network the Big Ten network the SEC network TV deals with CBS, ESPN, etc., etc., but there's a lot more red tape where I can't say that for certainty when I heard Dr. Anthony Felty last week say that he believes they can safely play professional sports.

If there are no fans in the stands. I thought it was a lot that they're going to find a way to bring this back major league baseball they had that proposal in Phoenix. The NBA reportedly is looking at Las Vegas or Los Angeles to hold their playoffs.

Maybe a few games of the regular season before they go straight into the playoffs.

The NHL reportedly is looking at North Dakota.

You've seen a lot of these things if Anthony Fouts he gives it his blessing. It's going to happen. I think Dr. Burks is been really good and you have government officials working directly with commissioners and sport owners Mark Cuban NBA owners on the task force to reopen the government, Gary Batten, Roger Caddell Adams over there, a part of this is well. Vince McMahon you have ice Pres. Mike pence working with the college football playoff committee so sports get to be a part of this reopening, but this is what I keep going back to players and leaks they're gonna want to salvage Paychex.

The Lakeside is the only one that gets talked about in this all these players are going to be away from their families for four months. There's no way that's gonna happen in Phoenix if you're going to have them sequestered away in a bio dome like setting just to play major league baseball games.

What value do you have on the players, do you just view them as meat. I've heard all of these things and I disagree with it because the players in the league have the same interest here. They want to salvage paydays. The networks they want to accomplish the same thing. They say that the WNBA draft is drawing ratings last Friday night. They see a sports documentary is tripling the ratings of Duke, North Carolina. Nationally, when I dingoes the double overtime in Chapel Hill this year. They want to get programming out there. The leagues a lot of the paydays are funded by the TV networks so there been a want to get something on TV to in the players they want to make the exorbitant money that there due to make talking about your family and the major league baseball setting during the summertime. During this time. Normally these players making it home for dinner, which these guys there playing the hundred 62 games during the summer. These families are used to the players being gone for two weeks on end.

At least once a month. This is an abnormal what they want for the family, you make the $25 million salary are set to make this year. Open Josh, that's not every players make a 25 million of its 500,000. That's significant to everybody has an interest to get this done and that's why I believe it's ultimately going to get done usually with every body has when everybody's incentivized to get something done and they been clear given clearance as well from people in the government, such as a fallacy.

It happened so get ready for when the? It seems golf going full speed ahead in the middle of June.

I think around that time to see the MBA back to see major league baseball back the NHL as well and the NFL through all of this. There still holding the draft on Thursday night you honestly believe the NFL isn't gonna find a way to play their games in September.

Come on now, well not totally true to life with Josh Graham or Todd Triad. We are still reacting to the breaking news in the NFL. First it was Rob bring house key once to return to the NFL, only to play for Tampa Bay, though, which would require New England trading him to Tampa, then 30 minutes later, Adam Shafter reports it happened wrong and the seventh round pick, going to the box in exchange for 1/4 round pick in this year's draft. But here's the latest news I can bring you in Las Vegas. Odds are already being affected by this Gronkowski news and even the rumor and that 30 minute stretch move the lines.

According to a friend of mine, Ariel Epstein, who does stuff on the gambling front in New York City. She says that the box once were at 17 to 1 odds to win the Super Bowl going into the day that was there odds and then right as the news drop that Cronk was looking at being traded to the box they became 14 to 1 favorites to win the Super Bowl and now that the news is in, and its final. The Buccaneers are 12 the one to win the Super Bowl. Some Cronk has moved the box from 17 to 1 to 12.

The one and all.

The Buccaneers gave up in order to make that happen was 1/4 trumpet, and they also added 1/7 rounder to their draft capital this year to further discuss this. Jim's okay now with this from the Panthers radio network.

I'm getting this via taxi and via email Jim with this news with the wrong. The question is who do you have is the favorite to win the NFC South right now. Is it still did the New Orleans Saints or have you seen up with Brady now being equipped with Cronk to say maybe Tampa Bay you know what about there. I only have one after that we can win the bloggers I New Orleans look like my paper to me or what Tampa Bay obviously jointly find Wes Welker tomorrow that will really put On top of that to Jeanette Dion branch that Randy bought. Yeah guys like to look at the papers are picking in the top 10 for the first time with David Tepper is the owner obviously met rule new head coach bring new philosophy. How do you think the Panthers are going to balance the need versus best player available at number seven. Somebody that surprised you that there are your overall drug court.

The guy and I would think to look believable operative option. There at seven or the second or third round. You'll pass on a great child that you expect to be there, you can move a player you do things so I would say go. You always always best available player for what it out going quarterback Braydon Bridgewater Walker, but maybe pick up a bit left tackle affected be the guy that could be the heir apparent is that they would have normally taken but I gotta believe that budget document. The offense of free agency. Overall, ceiling. You think to logos Miami at five. I think still the peg but you will work just there and we got 51. I think there are, you know, obviously your worldly good happen about the girl between I don't know that in this draft.

In the circumstances with his medical bay will trade up and make that move this year so I think you said there is no five by the end up with that with its Jim's okay with this on Twitter at Jim's okay for the Panthers radio network so obviously your hope in the Panthers have a lot of successes you sent kind of at the top the picture most excited to see Carolina take on seven who's the guy that you will be this pumping and excitement. If Carolina selects at 71. God told the truth about the process of what you have done in the way to God about it and want to talk about now.

Carly is way but it didn't. A general term position was the certainty and benefits that in the top 10 anybody that I bought a club about that you would handle the position reversal you could move around like Thomas Davis coming out of Georgia the safety of becoming a linebacker. Simmons will eventually be your purely a linebacker in some way. In this way, but that's exactly what they're doing. I think Derek Brown will be great, but it's a really deep interior to fight the wind and grab it back in the second or third round generally good one.

I think Simmons is unique so you might be the guy you still there number seven will be the one that would probably be the site in the days leading up to the draft. What information do you value most. What information do you trust the word particular open dialogue. I think it's going to be like nature draft where probably overall be a little bit more difficult to communicate.

And I also think by state more going with the bigger college guide a little bit less on the smaller college guide the lease early. I got a guy like Doug or the back out of Lenore arrived probably go back and round and round you would drop you position earlier in a different draft and this one power five, Jim was man stay safe in the Queen city got its Jim's okay for the Panthers radio network on Twitter at Jim's okay I guess I have to be prepared for it to be windy out yet. Hope he's okay and that hurricane out there that he's know he was swimming in the pool were you guys are very distracted throughout today show there's like law enforcement officers right outside our studio for a cool reason man. Why didn't now we can figure why would one for some cold there was no flight there was nobody in handcuffs.

No Taser strong you ever seen a good fight break out all my home oh my gosh, my favorite fight that I've ever seen ever let me hold you up real quick. This is great. Teasing get the Roberts great fight story.

If you have a really good fight story. I have three or four minutes left in this segment I have time for one or two 336-777-1600 give me a good fight story.

Robert, go right ahead where I think you're aware of this bore pretty pretty good in your memory, but maybe others are.

There's a bore it's a little hole in the wall in Greenville, North Carolina: 519 Greenville, America and the place if I could set the scene for you is like an Applebee's is in the fact that there is memorabilia all over their walls floor is sticky and people draw on the wall that was my next point is, it's kind of like walking a movie theater on the ground. Your your feet are either to be very sticky or very slippery.

Depending on what substance was spilled on and not a lot of real estate there is not a lot of space. Josh, you're hitting all the notes I need to hit before I got this fight. I am a people watcher when I'm downtown. I love to watch people and wonder how their knights going wonder how they are interacting with the people around him and I noticed guy at the end of the bar looks very perturbed by something something it is is off about him and I couldn't figure it out but I kept watching and I see someone else of the of the bar who is just you yakking like dear dear chin is hitting their chest or talking so fast. That's what that means yes there you go there, they're just going and going and going and I find out that he's talking crap to this guy and he is been talking to him for some time and older keeps talking and I tell my friends about it. So we are all walk watching. I can only imagine down the bar. This looks like like eyes peeping around the door corner that everyone is watching you and this dude is just given him some lip and the guy walks up and pushes them the guy which I hate.

This invites him to push you to push me. The guy responds with a push of his own and then the guy that looked perturbed. It's this guy one time and his feet don't fly back.

They flight forward as his head is projected towards the wall and this dude does a backflip as this guy punches him.

I'm not even kidding. I'm not getting out of the floor was slick, or what, but his feet over his head when this guy put Zoe doesn't go down in the back. No EP is a backflip, not down into the back yet took a backflip.

Yes, he goes all the way back and the bartenders picked this dude up and and just move them out. They carried them out like Jesus of Nazareth like that a lot got on their shoulders. He was knocked out cold when you flip did you hear that, but you didn't hear his body collapsed. The grain as he hit how do we get on this fight story all that's right, you said there wasn't a fight outside you were excited to see if there was one, and I hate it and promises work. I said same place that we were at in Greenville America. The place you're describing it. It's commonplace for women to dance on the bar on their birthday.

Yes, right. One time was a girl dancing on the bar and she fell on the other side, like trying to get up fell on the other side a little more and she was so embarrassed she sprinted out the door the rest of that night like I just people watching her friends like where is K PT KC is like over there okay okay will come back if you fall in that bar.

Why would you fall to the bar side.

Why would you not fall accidentally fell. I don't think she planned to call if you were blaming the fall I would just crowd surf.

There's enough people in there you can ride out the door. I think maybe one time me and Hayes per Mark danced on the bar once really think organize isotopic try to remember where I don't oh well must been a really good night.

I'll tell you the best and worst case scenarios for the Panthers through the first four rounds of the draft next week. Josh Gray's more spacious and he knows his horse back to the drive Josh Graham on sports hub try before I get to best and worst case scenarios for the Panthers in the draft through the first four rounds. I want to share this text message I got my friend Chrissy hits me with wrong smash box favorite to win the NFC South and I'm seeing a lot of that. Odds are changing. People are all in on the box. It's new. It's flashy. Their stars it's Brady it's wrong these wide receivers that no one cared about a year ago unless you were a hard-core football snob God when in evidence there now being sold as if there Randy Moss and Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, or whatnot and there to be good.

I like Tampa. I think the replay all theme I felt that way. Going into the day. However, pump the brakes on NFC favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers pump the brakes on NFC South favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I still think it's the New Orleans Saints's division and it's because in sports and in life. I favor the known versus the unknown variables I favor known quantities versus things that might be unproven or things that we haven't seen yet. Tom beings anywhere else other than New England is regardless of how you feel about Brady and unknown variable Brady not being with McDaniels Brady not BM with Bella check Brady being out of that environment. Out of that culture. We don't know white how that's going to translate immediately. Also during the off-season, where the coronavirus has upended everything Brady is not able to work out with his receivers the way that he what he would want to is not been able to work and to work out in the park in Tampa Bay without somebody yesterday saying he had to go because things were shut down. There. I think this affects teams with new head coaches, new quarterbacks do coordinators more than the teams that they don't that don't have as much turnover New Orleans Saints. They are still rolling same offense of coordinator same defense of coordinators same head coach same quarterback same taste until not a lot of different pieces even though I think New Orleans off-season has been slightly underrated because of all the quarterback movement we've seen.

Not a lot of people were talking about Emmanuel Sanders being the St. not a lot of people are talking about Malcolm Jenkins returning to New Orleans from Philadelphia high character great consistent safety rate locker room guy Jenkins is going to be an added addition tremendous player for Dennis Allen who is an incredibly underrated coordinator. Probably the most underrated coordinator out there just Allen being discussed as a head-coaching candidate pretty much anywhere.

He's been awesome with the Saints defense of it.

Josh Groh and Tom have a great connection wrong in the play last year and even though I will concede God when in evidence to be a better wide receiver tandem then whoever you want to pair Michael Thomas with. I'll still take the weapons of New Orleans over Tampa Bay. Give me Michael Thomas Jared Cook Alvin Camara over Brady Cronk Godwin and Evan the Buccaneers, they still need to upgrade the running back spot so I'm going to bank on what I know versus what I don't know I'm going to especially do that with off-season programs. OTA's being upended by the coronavirus.

Give me the New Orleans Saints to win the NFC South. My opinion doesn't really change that much because today's news your thoughts are welcome on twitter at sports on try 336-777-1600 is the phone number if you like to chime in that way.

All right, I love the draft. I love college football so I'm already familiar with a lot of these guys since we cover the Panthers closely and they been a lock for a top 10 pick since early December were all draft experts throughout the spring around here so I put together best and worst case scenarios for Carolina in the first four rounds of the draft because attempting to project rounds five through seven is really for the birds. Let's start with round one, the best case scenario for Carolina is to I know they have Teddy bought. I am sold on to what he is my favorite quarterback in this draft is my second favorite player in this draft altogether, CD lamb is number one in that regard. I love to. You won't have to worry about rebuilding or potentially taking to try get a quarterback.

Nobody stinking to get any other player, then a quarterback if you lock down somebody you think can be a franchise quarterback then you're sat Teddy Bridgewater he could be great this year. And guess what, somebody will want to trade for him. There's no pressure for two want to play right out of the chute to the most accurate quarterback we think about in a very long time is often compared to Drew breeze Drew breeze is exactly what the Panthers are looking for to have in their offense with Joe Brady, who was with the saints a few years ago.

So to is the best case scenario.

The worst-case scenarios. Pretty damn good. Derek Brown, I was listening to Reimer Cillo earlier in this week.

One of my favorites on radios now just doing podcast for the Rinker and Isaac.

He said it best in a normal year fairground might be the number one pick in the draft. Like in normal years when you don't have a freak like Chase young and you don't have this many quarterbacks available like in last year's draft. 2019. If you just wrote Derek Brown in their mist.

The guys who were available. The quarterbacks that were taken Daniel Jones at number six in Blaine Haskins later on. I think Derek Brown get serious consideration to be a top three pack in last year's draft. He's that kind a good he's a little short, a little buddies massive and he's quick. He's not every time I watch them with Auburn. I was always floored with this speed. It's kind like Vince will fork every time I watch Vinnie will fork.

I thought this guy is so massive, so Ralph, how the hell is he so fast, so I would have no issue at all if Carolina goes with Derek Brown the number seven. That's the worst second round. Best case scenario is says our release. The offense of lineman for Michigan.

You could put it center or at guard Carolina hasn't gotten a lot out of Matt Paradis.

So far, so there's a chance he could be the center of the future or he could be the answer in filling the whole left by Trey Turner who Carolina traded away in exchange for Russell Okun a few months ago Ruiz I don't think he's going to be available in the second round for Carolina, I saw a rumor that James later put out there NFL network Cowboys reporter saying the cowboys were considering him at number 17. That's why they have interest to potentially trading back.

I really like release of best case scenario he's available for Carolina early in the second round. The worst-case scenario I could really pick one of these two corners so I'll just list them both. Trey von Diggs. Stephan digs his brother corner from Alabama or Kristin Fulton, who is the LSU corner and I'm sure Joe Brady knows quite a bit about that would be the worst-case scenario Carolina getting Derek Brown and then picking up a corner. They could add in round two to pair alongside another LSU player and Dante Jackson, former LSU Tiger in the third round. Best case scenario, a player that might be taken very late in the second round, but Carolina could have their interior defensive line policy to play them a bit as a DN Jasons Trowbridge, who I loved it North Carolina last year Matt Brown was gushing about this guy.

Early on, think all we can be an NFL player next year and later on in the season, we figured out what he was talking about Trowbridge's stock has gone up. I don't know if you will be there in the third row for Carolina but I really like him. Worst-case scenario, Temple guy Matt Hennessey center third round pick for Caroline fourth round. This is the last one will do here. Best case scenario, it's James Lynch, who I've seen Robert looking at Mach draft I've seen James Lynch Mott everywhere. I've seen them late. Second, I've seen all over the third. I've seen them in the fourth.

I've never seen him in the fifth but all over the place.

Different evaluations for this edge. Baylor guy, there's the tie. There were Matt rule if he's there in the fourth that would be a very good scenario for Carolina that needs help with the pass rush and stop the run.

Worst-case scenario can't do much worse in the fourth on the graphic that he is boss. You lose Greg Olson, Ian Thomas agreed to give him a shot to be the starting tight end this year, why not Param with somebody you already understand what Joe Brady is wanting to do. Joe Brady knows that he is boss is a compass, a lot that boss also was at NC State. Once upon a time, so there's some North Carolina connection.

There is, well, it's Randy Moss's son.

So Thaddeus Moss worst-case scenario for Carolina in the fourth round. Robert I know you are a massive draft snob.

This is your favorite time of the year. How would you feel about the Panthers best case and worst cases I presented here. I agree with you.

I like Javon Kinlaw just a tad more than I like Derek but I don't think that's eight splitting hairs at that point and I like the options that you have later in the draft. I like Thaddeus Moss, just a little bit more than Lynch but at that at that cost. A guy who can block you can catch 80s familiar with your new offense of coordinator on think you can be mad about that at all. I just notice this hat.

Every single one of the players I've listed here other than to defensible get on it auto needs on defense. I think this needs to be a defensive heavy draft like if Carolina doesn't pick up a wide receiver at any point fine right think about me pick up some offense of lineman which I see it says are really the one position on offense of they really need to touch on Thaddeus Moss and in your worst-case scenario.

So there you go Thaddeus Moss yeah I can read my own draft board here. Great.

Do you think the best case is better than the worst-case. Yeah, for Mosier Pixie Ahuja of the second round Vasquez tule release Trowbridge Lynch worst-case Derek Brown either one of those corners in the SEC Hennessey and Thad Moss. I'll take worst-case really give me worst-case is because a two yes hundred percent because of two. I'm starting to pay a did not apply. No, I mean that's just not me but also not the pain of the general managers while I'm just saying if Carolina has someone they believe can be a franchise guy and you don't know for sure if Teddy is that hick to give Teddy a chance to prove himself, and it's not a bad situation to be in with the most important position you have two great quarterbacks, somebody's gonna want to trade for Teddy Bridgewater set a bad contract if Teddy proves it this year.

If he doesn't, then it's a perfect bridge using the pond quarterback to tule, I would agree with you if everything's a perfect world, but I think we all know that it's not. It would be harder to move Teddy if he sucks and then you have to type pay you have to move to a start or Teddy's great and then to us it's for two years and I cannot takes away some of the lore of a rookie quarterback on a rookie know if you would sit for two years I think. I think if you draft to its with the expectation that back I will be your starter in 2021, like with the chief stated where they moved up they took the homes Alec Smith go look at the numbers. He was really good in 2017 bought a they knew what they had in the home people you can listen to talk radio that that you can find some of the cold. What is it hot takes exposer cold takes exposed nickel takes exposed. You can find that and you will find a lot of people saying this is a massive risk life and he read getting rid of a quarterback you know could take it to the playoffs for Homes who was a 500 quarterback in college yeah thing was a little bit easier to move Alec Smith and it would be to move Teddy Bridgewater depending on how good Teddy is exactly are a lot of start to then I think will be harder to train and there are a lot weapons.

Carolina has this year you have McCaffrey you have all these wide receivers. I don't think Teddy is going to be. I think Teddy is good to be productive. I do is I going to translate the winds. LOL that remains to be seen, but I think that's the best case scenario tule falls there. It's not a bad spot to be and to think you have a franchise quarterback were a couple of people who could be that all right tomorrow we got beat up on the shelf board knows what direction that's going to go Thursday we got the trio of Darren Vaught Adam Golder early afternoon hose and we got Joe person Panthers reporter from the athletic Carolinas, so it's really a big week here on sports of dry working to carry the draft Thursday night. It's good to Jay Glazer, Joel Klatt, who I really like in college football with Gus Johnson and also Jay Glazer to be a part of that broadcast to listen to that one sports of dry Thursday night and a reminder that if you're in your home and wanting to listen to the show you have an elect Sarah Google home just say hey Google hey Alexa, play sports hub triad radio and while it will play for you. There search the best of podcasts which will be on SoundCloud iTunes Apple podcast Google place, modify wherever you get your podcasts in just a little bit just search the drive with Josh Graham and it's going to be available to you Robert what you got to get to the house today, you can lead a horse to water but can you make it zoom all man now that zoom is a more popular term. There's couple of plays on words that could be I will figure out what Roberts getting A real sports fan right here everyone it touches integrating psychotic call sports well salsa drive with Josh Graham only get former NFL wide receiver parents copper former New Orleans Saints on the Kansas City chief. There is a headline I want to get through from minor league baseball where apparently according to baseball America, there is a conversation taking place between minor-league baseball and major-league baseball to see if there are going to be cots from 160 minor-league teams that are sanctioned by major-league baseball to 120 affiliated teams a couple years ago. This was brought up and it was fervently rejected by minor-league baseball but with everything going on with coronavirus. It's back on the table and there's an update to bring to you, which will provide in a little over five minutes but were now being joined by parents copper who was one of my good friends. When I was out east, former East Carolina pirate former New Orleans Saints, former Kansas City chief somebody who didn't miss a lot of games in college or in the pros. And it's good to have you back on in the triad Terrence what's the best story you can tell me that speaks to the degree of accuracy through breeze had so many story notes good thing about true. The first one in the weight room and he was the last out now.

Last word at work I'm at work with it for its route with one thing a lot don't know. It was not a quarterback.

So timing is everything. Times where if you look closely, look over line of scrimmage, but sometimes you can't see but practice these routes so much that it timing of it. Go to a spot where there could be so going to practice without not just turn right, but I forgot was me you were course. Not only does he expect excellence out of his players, but he also gives it well. It's funny, Joe Brady's the new offense of coordinator for the Panthers. He was with LSU last year and we saw the season. Joe Burrow had the year before that he was in New Orleans as an offense of assisted and he said that it was so easy to have his offense be successful with the Saints because of how accurate Drew was and then that translated when he went to LSU because Burrow he was a significantly accurate quarterback as well. And then when I look at most of the comparisons during the draft process. I see tule at Alabama. Best compared to drill because you guessed it, he has maybe the most accuracy of any quarterback we sing come out in a very long time. So as a receiver.

Terrence and somebody watches a lot of college football. Who would you most like to run routes for to our Burrow probably would say me ask you this. Have you ever got passes from a lefty I have not allowed a left-handed quarterback in the league but got back FROM his name was Tyler Palko from Bert Bert yes he was left-handed use to because the balls it shows away from you differently when you get from a left-hander. You get used to but once you get to it.

You know, it is no big difference when you sign those different most interesting about to where people are considering whether or not they should draft them very high because they haven't had a chance to get their own medical people get a hold of him and have their own evaluation of two what you think of everything that's being discussed around him. I think that is very you know concerning injury was an injury injury prone. I would say she may go number one overall quarterback over Burrow, but he shown his hope for him to stay healthy before year end and NFL season is longer. The hits may be a little harder. Also know he has to be on your friends quarterback you're going to turn program around. Even if you're not a franchise quarterback. If your deposition, you gotta be healthy because if you don't have a good quarterback is a big difference in getting it's a big difference. So he has to stay on the field yesterday, healthy and I'm when it best that amount of money and I need I need to see more doctor records and plus I still may not draft over Burrow because of his injury even if he was about a clean bill of health.

Come into the draft still may draft second because of the fact that you know he's always been injury prone and in the thing about that is used if your injury prone before you get to the league will likely that's going to continue to some of nature. It's Terrence copper with the seer and another reason I wanted to have you on is because I think we forget how much we love sports more fully ingrained in a schedule we take for granted just the next thing that's there and when it's all taken away. You kind of then have more of a sense of the value that holds in your life and all of our lives. And if you listen to sports radio. You probably love sports yourself and are missing all of these games you're somebody who played for the saints when Drew Bray's first got there in 2006 Sean Payton first arriving as well, but it was in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina that come to community lost their football team in 2005. As you guys went off to San Antonio you arrived in 2006, but they still hadn't played any games there until that Monday night game against Atlanta.

But what do you remember about New Orleans when you first arrived there well before the season started.

I hear it and it was hot out.

The biggest thing on what before the game started looking when I got there I met some people that were actually from New Orleans and they really took me around and showed me different wards and different things with the fluid was an biggest thing on the Buttonwillow before games you start when with the people they treat you like family.

There is nobody that was a stranger to you because everybody showed that love for you and that's what I can say is just a big family. People makes New Orleans. People say the football team. Of course that holds it together but it's the people man the people makes New Orleans and it makes you want to be a part of their culture. What people know sticks out to you about that Monday night game Gleason's block kick and the touchdown and the saints winning in the first game that they played their in a very long time.

Motion it was so emotional to think about it. Note, a lot of people died in the Superdome. A lot of people lost a family member and so just coming back to the Superdome and plan again and get net win versus arrival the Falcons. It was just it was crazy because once again was over when you look up in the stands and you had grown man women, children, Google crime, I'm talking about who I'm talking about just flat out can't hold a most crying.

Crying. It was a very emotional game.

Most parents appreciate you sharing some time with us when sports gets back fully fledged and we have a lot of things to break down on the football front, rather than talking about the virus and what if will have you back on and we'll talk some ball but appreciate you spinning time with us. In the meantime, might talk yet you got it. That's Terrence copper, former chief order form or saying, of course, before we get to a couple other NFL things.

I promised some stuff on minor-league baseball here. I love mine would baseball. I actually prefer going to minor-league games more than majorly games.

If you can believe that. I compare it to going to the pool versus going to the beach. Robert what you like more the pull of the beach.

They both have their positives. I guess I prefer the pool because I hate sand. Yes, it's messier. It's probably more expensive to go to the beach. It's more of an ordeal to get to the beach. The pull that I want in your backyard. You can have one right around the corner. It's probably less people less crowded minor-league baseball me. I can go in and out easier.

It's cheaper, it's something I enjoy a lot more and that's why this is tough news for me where major-league baseball has proposed to minor-league baseball that they're going to cut leagues from hundred and 60 teams to a 1 to 120 affiliated teams and it seems on a conference call tomorrow minor-league baseball's going to concede that because there are any minor-league games being played, and a lot of the money minor-league baseball is made during the season made at the gate but if you're looking for some positive news. It's not expected to affect the it's not expected to affect the grasshoppers, the New York Times, they had a lot of teams listed. I see the Danville Braves among them. I see the Burlington Royals among them. But the teams that have steak and minor-league teams. They are going to be okay at this I think about how the mud cats where I believe the Brewers have steak and that franchise. The Houston Astros they have steak in Fayetteville. The Rangers they have steak in the wood ducks. I don't know for sure but I think the White Sox actually have ownership stake in the whites in the Winston-Salem bash at all that for sure but I think that's the case, the they should be fine. As a result, the grasshoppers, and low able, they should be fine as well. It is tough news because I love minor-league baseball and it's such an integral part of the North Carolina sport seen that people outside the state. Quite frankly don't understand, when we talk about it but we have some of the best minor-league parks in America with BB&T ballpark in Winsted BB&T ballpark in Charlotte, you have the five-county stadium in Zebulun.

I personally love Granger field in Kinston down East wood ducks Robert were about the wood ducks around here. Do you really say Zebulun and I don't want to do this again Zebulun.

I think most people say Zebulon know they do not. I know this one for sure. I grew up in the county right next to Zebulun it is Zebulun, it's not Zebulun.

I will fight you in the street over the accounting to see you one day over all these assault charges 336-777-1600 is it Zebulun or Zebulon.

I'm willing to take the L1 West for Cyprus is Wes Forsyth but I'm not taking the L1 Zebulon versus Zebulun you could just leap off on that next Roy Williams had a defense for college basketball this morning here in the drop Josh grandma sports triad love draft week Tom Brady's about and now his number one target with the patriots Rob Gronkowski is going to join them in Tampa within the last hour we learned he was interested in playing in the NFL again only if he could be about, and required to trade to get done. The patriots send ground in 1/7 rounder to Tampa Bay in exchange for 1/4 rounder in this years draft where excited about the draft where excited about this segment, but all day we've been talking about what to name it Robert where we act on a name for this draft does it sound best when we say NFL draft fantasy draft is that the best way to do it.

I don't think I think the best way to do it is just their 2020 NFL fantasy draft draft okay so this is our 2020 NFL fantasy draft draft. It would just say draft will because there's just were redressed in fantasy animals. If so I will take a unicorn at number two is a RC draft but it's about the NFL draft contestants or else we would be able to draft my homes and draft a bunch of stores and golems in the skies were participating in the draft so I'd like what Roberts doing their it's the 2020 NFL draft. Draft select I have the number one pick Robert, are you picking second or Aaron is picking. Second, I am picking second and Aaron is picking third. All right, I have the number one pick.

I am on the clock. I am ready to go.

My number one pick is fun LOL from Alabama. I've said it all along. I just think he's a better quarterback than borough. I think he is a more bigger ceiling. I do recognize he's a bigger risk to but he's younger. The numbers don't really lie with two I have a longer sample of excellence from two other than I do borough soap who is my number one pick NFL draft draft you got me there. Yeah, I'm up.

Second, and I expect this to go one of two ways either expected Josh to go to the top of the board which forced my hand into the second quarterback or you would allow me to maybe get picked with my record of my second pick, but that's not happened. So I'm going to go to show borough with my second pick, show borough is off the board. Errands who are you taking with your first round pick you all to to him borough of leaves me with remaining corporate however her vault 110 slit CD lamp while receiver Oklahoma was second on my pick board dynamic danger. All right, snake draft you got next must make draft to I will address my backfield and I would take the under sweep university.

I like that pick very little thread on the tires but running backs have gone through Georgia. The last few years. A lot of them very good so you have a guy who has a lot of Terry's remaining in his think is because of the NFL Robert second round second pick. You have borough whose that I'm going to pay her Jerry Judy with Joe borough and just have Jay's running wild over here. Jerry Judy nicknames to you will not be called out on my saying he will be Judy or Jerry or Jay or bear anything but that.

Very uncomfortable.

I don't like that. While anti-somatic Robert that's not it is much as I don't dislike a Christian to my team. Everyone Christians. Next is Buddhist plastic in the second round a bit of hair to Henry rocks Artie got some chemistry there a lot of speed on the field he might be the next time we kill. Who knows and just kick off the third round. I'm going to address my backfield to the number one running back on my board Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin are format here were going quarterback to running backs to wide receivers of flax and excited, so no kicker in this draft. No coach, no defense, anything of that sort through your wondering what the format is just that I have to.

I have Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor and I have Henry rugs. Robert has borough Jerry Judy Aaron as DeAndre Swift and CD lamp still needs quarterback on his team.

Robert Europe that I'm going to go with my backfield and finally address that I'm going to go with your birth familiar teammate slide Edward. I knew this is where you've raved about this guy you love ever to land. I think he's a Ray Rice called less prone to his girlfriend in the elevator plaintiff Jeremiah says he would just be the perfect running back to have for Tom Brady if he's available in the second round and I would be a great spot for him to go. I like the combo you have there. Borough quite upward to layer Jerry Judy SEC having so far in our draft of the only guy who hasn't drafted SEC player with every single one of the specs I Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin Aaron Europe next 036 my friend address my second Waddell was welcome around a slipped disc Jeff Waddell He did have better numbers then Jamar Chase for much of the year, but then face came on strong Chase is a guy was going to be taken in the top 10 next year. He has speed he's essentially Antonio Brown except bigger that's Jamar Chase for Jefferson's great. Can I go in the first round next topic for you and I will address my second run of that position come around and pick up JK and K all day out of Ohio State, Gus Johnson on the call there. Robert, whose next on my board I am going to address the wide receiver position with Judy on getting a great route runner and no one answers that I'm taking Denzil Mims out of Baylor since no man's was my next wide receiver on the board to actually think about. I have one higher and this is a guy I think I want to go ahead and take right now to go with T Higgins out of Clemson as my second wide receiver quickly turn things around here and address my spot on the go wide receiver yet again and it's going to be Michael Pittman Junior wideout out of USC guy you have in the red zone X and Z Michael Pittman Junior, rounds out my wife receiving core and then come back to me you're not going to go ahead and solidify love her worldly and scared.

There's not really a matchmaking tidying in here that I'd like to spend my money on yet. Maybe there is for you guys.

I'm a pretty tight and like kicker yet to be my last page I can.

I can wait on that I'm going to go ahead and another wide receiver.

I really love it right on and off about regular email about Dylan Rager last night.

I just don't know what exactly he is.

I don't know who's the best, for Rager. I love watching TCU Brian Eskridge is the voice of the team he spent time adapting to think that's a good wide receivers to come out of their I think about stocks in for the Redskins came out of TCU but I just don't know what is interesting prospect really is a good athlete reminds me a lot.

Maybe a God who is careful around Klein's favor on their Curtis angle :-) super athletic and can really do a lot of stuff for you. Maybe nothing great a lot of Aaron.

Let's leave this up a little bit. We have a few more pics left to go who you think will come around and when address my flex plot I would take no welcome around when you have back to back pics here and fighting go with Albert and all this is Missouri you would pick the date with the hardest of every land nailed it on your next McCarran real quick walk around now take my place positioned go local Appalachian State, the Aronson in Harrington Avenue place. I had him pretty high up on my board to pick on your part. Robert Walsh you are next up on the clock. It seems like you needed to run a macro recited here. I'm going to stick with running back I'm to go with a guy I really dig especially in the fourth or fifth round BCA you would take a day. Dylan stood up like I did was ACC ground player of the week we not really staying. I thought I was to get Dylan right there all that her to go cam makers at running back out of Florida State.

He's a speedster and round out my draft Thaddeus Moss LSU as my tight Robert last pick of the draft to take to grandma tidying here and if Notre Dame does anything. Well, it's tidy, and take him since coal commit out of Notre Dame. Your pick. Aaron last pick in the draft you need a quarterback and of course will go with for this court a bit like they haven't picked on Twitter who had the best draft, myself, Robert or Aaron. I have two quarterback Jonathan Taylor. Cam Akers at running back wide receivers Henry rugs T. Higgins my flex is Michael Pittman Junior my tight and is Thaddeus Moss. Robert has Joe borough is LSU teammate Clyde Edward Salerno running back Ajay Dylan joining him in the backfield.

Jerry Judy and Denzil Mims's wide receivers Dale and Rager is his flax and Randy got his team skulk that from Notre Dame. Aaron is taken Justin Herbert JK Dobbins DeAndre Swift CD lamp just to Jefferson, Derek Nevins and the tide and I have no clue how to pronounce out of Missouri equivalent all yes that if you take a step back from all the spin. I think to his destination is clear and obvious. I'll tell you where that is
