This is the Truth Network. Bright Bell was never supposed to get this far. You know that. It is more dangerous for him. Than anyone else.
But he has a chance if where his wings end, His heart goes. Can pay the balance. His heart is 48 millimeters. From what I've seen, Bright Bill's heart is much bigger on the inside. than the outside.
Welcome to the Christian Car Guy Radio Show. this calls for action and now a flight instructor Oh, what loser did you dig up? Meet Thunderbolts.
So you think small wings to be a disappointment? Yeah. Small wings are teeth, the claws of the sky. Those are different things. Show me your teeth!
Beautiful. Begin. Follow me. Your shape takes more work to fly straight. but easier to turn And die.
You ready? Huh? Flight lessons today on the Christian Car Guy Show. Flight lessons. Wow, that's an interesting idea, right?
And so, um You know, if you read in Isaiah 4, 40, which is, you know, there's a comfort chapter in the New Testament, but Isaiah 40 is kind of the comfort chapter of the Old Testament. It starts out with comfort ye, comfort ye, my people, right? It talks about John the Baptist and those kind of things in the beginning, actually, Elijah. Um But then at the very end, it says this, right? He gives power.
This is verse 29. He gives power to the weak and to those who. Those who have no might, he increases strength. Even the youth shall fall faint and weary, and the young man shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up on wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not be faint. Right? It's an amazing thing, this idea of flying. Right?
There's a sense of, right, that God's in the heavens, and so as we rise, however that may look, in some ways, we're really getting closer to God. But. He didn't say that you were going to fly, but you were going to fly like eagles. Which is a really huge, significant kind of thing. Um.
Of this flight lesson that we're going to talk about today, that Eagles. Have some unique qualities that I was not aware of until I studied this this morning because I was trying to see, you know, I just simply was wondering, you know, how many flaps of a wing, you know, when you see eagles soaring, how long can they soar without flapping their wings?
Well the answer is they've been observed to go over two hours. without one wing flap, Okay? And the idea of that, if you think about it, is When striving cease, Right, from like when Christ Alone, that song, you know, when striving ceases, in other words, this wing, these eagles go over. over a hundred miles a day with less than four or five wing flaps.
Okay, this is and and what makes it even more amazing to me is that eagles have a unique design in their shoulders to where they can lock their shoulders in so that there's almost no muscle strain involved You know, if you go hold your arms out, you know, I remember this all too well that when I was in sixth grade, I think I didn't do my homework. I forget what infraction it was. I remember what the punishment was. I literally had to stand at the back of the of the room holding up these books with my arms out for you know, like 10 minutes or whatever it was. It was deeply humiliating and also very painful.
So, the idea of holding your whole body aflight. But these eagles they lock their shoulders in place, so it's almost effortless. if you think about it, as they are soaring, they're not using A lot of muscle strain to do that. The wind is simply carrying them. And you may know that they fly on thermals, which is essentially warm air.
Right? And this idea of this warm air is its rising because of heat that. often is, you know, obviously coming from the sun and and down there as as it may be. And so it's fascinating to me that here you're talking about God isn't talking about the strong that he's going to have rise like eagles. He isn't talking about somebody that's got it all together.
He's talking about these people that are going to faint and weary and they're fixing to fall. Those are the ones. Do you ever notice that? Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Those are the ones, these these these w these weaklings. And so thus my intro from the movie The Wild Robot of of Bright you know, Bright Wings or what I think was his name or whatever, where you know, he he He was weak and weary and could barely do anything, but he was chosen, right? be the one in order to do that. The the Practical question. About this.
And I'll go into a lot of that word weight later on in the show and what that means in Hebrew because there's some really magic stuff in there. Not magic, but just amazing revelations of what God is doing with us in those kinds of things. But just practically speaking, right now, as you think about this idea of flying, when did you, when were you weak and like just broken and falling on your face? And the next thing you know, you were flying higher in the sky and you did nothing. You didn't even know you were locking your wings.
And the next thing you know, you, you. God had just raised you up. You know, like that. I'm sure many of you have seen that. It's a picture of footsteps in the sand.
And you're like, why are there only one set of footsteps? It's because I was carrying you.
Well, if you've experienced that, that's what I want to hear today. 866. Three, four, eight. Seven, eight, eight, four flight lessons, which interestingly have to do with the first part of that: is that you got to be weak and faint and falling down.
Okay, so so far I've got all those covered. Right, the beauty of this is, man, I can completely relate to this flight lesson here: that he isn't taking the mighty and getting them up in the air. He's got these poor folks that are struggling, right? And then So we'll just give you my story, and Jerry can be thinking about his story, or you can be thinking about yours and then thinking, you've got to call 866-348-7884. Um when I lost the dealership, which was a very traumatic thing, I went through, oh man, just You know, not only losing our money, it's just.
You know, people trying to sue crazy stuff. People rubbing my name through the dirt, thinking that I was the one that stole the money and all this thing, all these things had happened. And it was a horrible experience, I can tell you. And so, if you want to talk about weak and faint and broken, there I was.
Okay, I was very broken. And I was Honestly, a little bit bitter about the previous dealership I'd worked for nearly, I don't know, at that point, maybe 10, 12 years ago. And I couldn't go buy that dealership. At this point in my life, without getting just angry about what happened at the last one.
So now this was my own, and I'd lost all the money I thought I'd worked for my whole life. God gave it all to me, and He was perfectly in a position. But at that time, I was thinking, I've lost everything, my house, my cars. You know, I have nothing. And as I'm One of the beautiful things I did at the time, and I still do actually, is I did a devotion at the nursing home that was back behind the dealership.
And I did that every Thursday morning. And so that day that I needed to lock the doors, my attorney had said, Robbie, you need to go lock the doors. and not come back. And And get ready because everybody's coming after you. And those were his words.
And so I'm on my way. I've got the key to lock the door. And I say, well, before I do that, I love to do the devotions.
So I went and did the devotions with the folks at Somerset, which I did last Thursday. But nonetheless, as I'm walking back across the parking lot and looking at the building and et cetera, that we had built, right? Um I was just talking to God. I said, you know, God, I do not want to feel this way about this place than I feel about North Point, to be honest. That was the name of the place that really bothered me.
I didn't want to feel that way. And I said, but I still want to I don't want to leave Moxville. I don't know what you're going to do with me or whatever, but I still want to go to Christian Businessmen's Committee, and I still want to do the devotions at Somerset. If that's possible, Lord, that would be really good. But other than that, I'm just asking that you not make me bitter.
So as I am saying these things, I'm walking across the street. When I get over, I have the key in my hand and I'm locking the door. And as I'm locking the door, Up poll Stu Everson.
Okay, true story. Here comes the wind. Right? If you know, Stu, that's a pretty way to describe it. Here comes the wind.
And He gets out of his car. He doesn't have a clue what's going on. I mean, he's known me for years and years. And as far as he knows, I'm the dealer in Moxville. And he looks at me and he doesn't even pay attention to the fact that there isn't a soul around but me.
And he says, You know, Robbie, do you know where I could find a sales manager? Those were his exact words. And I was like, I do. And see, I went from this place of like, I have no idea what you're doing with my life, God. I don't know.
I know I want to be able to continue to do these devotions, which I do to this day, by the way. I had that CBMC meeting on Thursday, and I did my devotions on Thursday, and that was almost 20 years ago. And like, oh my gosh, but he lifted me up and I didn't, you know, I was just exactly there. Flight lessons, your experience. We'd love to hear it.
866-348-7884. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. In Christ alone. My hope is found And he is my light, my strength.
My soul This cornerstone This solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought And storm What hides our love? What depths of peace when fears are still? When striving cease My comforter. My all in all Here in the Love, I've cry. I still Mm-hmm.
Flight lessons today on the Christian Car Guy Show. I particularly love that line. when strivings cease. When strivings plural, cease. Like Oh, if I could just understand that.
Right? That that there comes a point that, you know, you just Have to wait on God. And that word wait is, like I said, just absolutely mind-blowing as you dig into that word. It's not like drumming your thumbs. You know, I got to wait.
I got to wait. But nonetheless, when did you experience that kind of flight? 866, like from the point of like, I got nothing, and all of a sudden flying. 866-348-7884 is the number to call and share. 866-348-7884.
I have my dear, dear friend Jerry. from Ray's Body Shop and Wrecker Service here with me today. And so Jerry, what are you thinking?
Well, I'm sitting there sort of like you, Robbie. And we said, I think back, and there's so many of those. Those markers in our life that you can say, you know what? I just really felt defeated. I felt Like, where does this end?
How is this going to end? And I'm going to back back up a little bit to what you were just telling about the. your story there. I mean, that's just just one of them. But from the outside looking in, and I was on the outside looking in at what you went through.
I think it's such a testament on who we should be. One thing that never wavered, one thing that never that was never shown outwardly. Was a That that The fact that you did not 100% know that God was in control and And I think so many times we think, and I'm maybe asking something that I don't know for sure, but I feel pretty confident there's. You had some hard conversations with God during that process. Let me tell you.
Yeah. And sometimes we think, well, if I question God on what God's doing in my life, then am I really waiting on God? Am I really faithful? Do I really believe? Yeah, God.
Expects us. I mean, that's part of our DNA. We're human. We fall very short of who God wants us to be, and it's a growing process. And there's times, believe me, for me, I mean, a little bit of what you're talking about, I'm going through just because of some of the things that Ray went through, my dad, with business and stuff that I'm having to try to navigate.
And there's times where.
well, there there's uh probably about a a year ago I got to the point where, I mean, I was really getting stressed about it and it was it was it was affecting everything and I probably was on edge. And I still have all those things out there, but at some point I finally got to the point. It may have been where Myra told me, well, my wife, which is kind of sometimes she needs to get me straight, she said. Who's in charge and who's going to defend you and who's going to take care of this? And I said, God is.
And I know He will. She says, You've got to do more trusting. And less worry, and that is a hard thing to do. I mean, it's a hard thing. To go through that, I went through some physical stuff with my wife and stuff, and the birth of my daughter.
And I know there were times there that I just pleaded with God. And I mean, I'm at the table, I'm at the table trying to make, I'm at a negotiation table. I'm telling God, if you'll do this, I promise you I'll do this. And then when I run out of that, I would go to the anger part of God, why are you doing this to me? Why is this happening to you know, but but God grows us.
I mean, through those situations, God will always grow us. And I love Russell used to be the minister at at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville. He did a video um series, I think it's Acts of God. But one of the scenes in there had this young lady who had had lost her daughter and lost her husband in terrible accidents. But he goes to the door and she had been she was she was angry at God And he knocks on the door and she says, Don't come in.
I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to hear all those churchy things. I'm sure you're going to tell me that God never puts more on me than I can handle. And he says, no, I'm not telling you that, because that's not true. God will put more on you you can handle by yourself.
It's who we walk with. We need to walk with our Lord and Savior. And then we can. work our way through it. And through my life, I'm going to tell you, there've been so many times where it had to be where I knew that I had to lean into my relationship with Jesus Christ.
And like I said, from the outside, looking in, Robbie, I mean, you've been through that multiple times and every time you you say, you know why, I mean, just I mean, it seems like this barrage just keeps coming. But but God grows you and stuff. And I think about the dealership situation, It brought you Into Truth Broadcasting. And I know your business was a lot like Westside Chrysler Plymouth had the same approach that Ray's Body Shop and Record Service is. It's a A business, but it's also a ministry for our employees and also the people that walk through the door.
And it's always a little bit of a juggling act to do that in business. Reached a lot of people because I've talked to, I think I went to a guy that I was just shocked because I said, I think you came to my Sunday school class, and a guy had bought a car from you that was in my Sunday school class a couple of years ago, and he just went on and on how you were such an inspiration at the time that he needed somebody to see, he needed to see Jesus Christ, and he saw it through that transaction. But God will use us and stuff in that. But all that being said, Dealership got shut down. and all the hundreds of people you touched in the dealership aspect.
I'm just thinking of all the thousands of people That have either been introduced to Jesus Christ or have been encouraged. and has been Like mentor to to to get a closer relationship to Jesus Christ. By you setting in here in this new journey, God puts you on.
So, all I can say is, praise God. How about you? What, you know, w when were you there and all of a sudden he just lifted you up and You know, like Jerry said, you had those hot, hard conversations. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884.
I have to tell you, Jerry, that I'll never forget one time I was coming up the Depot Hill and I was saying, God, do you know your name is getting pushed through the mud? You know, because everybody knows I'm a Christian and they think I'm a thief now. You know your name? And he said, Robbie, I'll take care of my reputation. You take care of yours.
I'll never forget that conversation. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. In Christ alone. My hope is found And He is my light, my strength. My soul This cornerstone This solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love What depths of heat?
when fears Are still When striving cease My comforter Flight lessons today on the Christian Car Guys Show. When did you find yourself fainting and weary, and all of a sudden this wind, this thermal came from nowhere, and your wings just locked into your shoulders and you were able to soar above all the chaos and craziness the world has to offer us at times? We would love to hear that story. 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. And I should remind this is the Christian Car Guy Show.
But You know, part of what we all go through with cars is These opportunities, right, of chaos and shenanigans. And oh my goodness, I don't know if I can trust the guy working in my car. And again, we have the Jesus Labor Love, which is car repair labor for single moms, widows, and families in crisis. And We often like Jerry does, get to talk to people who are at their wits' end of Uh you know.
Sometimes they're not able to get to work. They can't take care of their family. It's sometimes it's, you know, we It can be so simple sometimes. It's just things that we all take for granted because we all can go out and I mean, when I leave here, I'm gonna go out and get in my truck and it's gonna crank up and I can go anywhere I want to go as long as it's got gas in it. But uh We think everybody is in that same position.
With some people it is a Uh they they huge burden that they just don't have Yep. the transportation stuff, especially some of these Robbie, between you and Scott, and y'all were able to pray with some of these moms, especially. I mean, the ones who are. got kids that are special needs or handicapped or have ailments they're dealing with and even sometimes them, you know, and they're trying to juggle work and getting their kids and themselves to the hospital and appointments, going to the grocery store, just little things we just take for granted. We are in a society that is almost impossible to function without transportation.
So And it happens to be a commodity that fits, it kind of falls between the cracks because you've got ways to get food. Hopefully, you know, I hate that there's people being around hungry, but there are ways to do that. But often, in order to you know, feed themselves, they need to work. In order to be able to work, they need transportation in America anyway, especially in rural areas where they don't have public transportation and that kind of thing.
So, you know, we the reason I say all this is, you know, just this week I was talking to this lady in Florida Who had called? This was the second time. And Oh my gosh, you know, all the ways that people had taken advantage of her because she didn't know what to ask and what to say. She she had she had this car and she didn't know what was wrong with it. And so it's unbelievable to me how many times it it's not a matter of us having the financial resources.
It's us having some kind of like these poor ladies have nobody to turn to that knows about cars to go, No, no, no, no, no, no, don't no, you don't need to let's get you to some place that That we know we can trust what they're saying, and just help people find a reliable, trustworthy mechanic is a huge part of the deal because often. You know, that's that's the real prayer issue. It's not just To have the resources to get it fixed, but you got to have somebody on the other end that wants to help the person and do what you're doing, right, at Raised Body Show. Yeah, and Robert, I love it when you say that because, and I encourage businesses, especially in my industry, automotive industry, if I mean, if you really want to connect with your community. reach out and and and and offer that stuff.
I mean, we'll have people who come in and we're on on South Main Street and and south side of Winston-Salem, and some of that community around me is older. neighborhoods with older people and have I've got women who've lost their husbands that are at home by themselves, and it'll be just something m my car just feels like it's pulling and they'll pull up and it says, Just don't feel it feels like it just just wants to turn to the right all the time, pull me to the right and go out there and it's got eight pounds of air pressure in the right front tire, you know, and it's just simple stuff. And they've been driving around like that for for weeks. And and and you know, it's just go out there and put some air in it. We talked about one of the most amazing ones to me was the the woman who'd been driving around for, I think, On her second year, a few years back, when we were going through the heat waves, and it was.
Stinking hot, and she just wanted to see about getting her air conditioning fixed. And so I said, Well, just come on up and I think she went through you, Robbie, and we said Had time to come by and was going to look at it. Went out there, and it wasn't anything but. I'm looking at the car and I'm thinking, so What's the deal? Let's just turn it on and see what it does.
It has this little button. I mashed the button, and boy, that wasn't. There was a snowflake on it, and it turned blue. She just, what did you do? And I said, that button right there.
And she said, well, nobody had ever showed me that. And she'd been asking the question from a lot of people, and just people just didn't. I don't have time to go out there and look at it. Or if you want to get an appointment, we'll take a look at it. You know, just if you have a facility, man, I wish one thing, I wish you would contact.
Jesus Labor of Love and get on that.
Well, we could put it on the website. If somebody's in, you know, if you're in Jacksonville, Florida, Richmond, Virginia. That you're willing to just help. That if somebody calls and just needs somebody in that area, we could say, you know, won't you go by. ABCs and just have them take a quick look at it and stuff because you may I mean, nobody's saying do it for free, but just do it understanding that you're helping somebody.
And also, it's just great for the community. I mean, I I don't think I've ever done anything like that that I felt like Man, I wish I hadn't have done that because God blesses that, and God blesses our business. And part of it is, just, I think, is our approach to doing business. And I just wish other. Shop owners or managers would take that step also.
All you got to do is go to ChristianCarGuy.com. That's ChristianCarGuy.com. You can email me or you can look into Jesus Labor Love and fill out a form, whatever you want to do and call me. We'll get you fixed up.
So we got Sonia. I'm very excited to hear her testimony about a recent situation.
Sonia, you're on a Christian CarGuy? Hey, how are you? I'm great. I'm excited to hear your story.
Well, thank you. Yeah, I just I just heard you guys talking about how people say God doesn't put on you more than you can handle. And I just went through a terrible domestic violence case where the gentleman ended up getting ten years in prison. But I had to go to court forty eight times to make that happen. And everybody said, You're so calm, you're so peaceful.
And It wasn't me. It was all God. And so the fact that you just said that. God does put more on than you can handle. That was just so amazing to me because I'd never heard that before.
And because it was all just God, that's all it was. It wasn't ever me.
So I just wanted to share that. I I commend you on your on your courage to hang in there, right? And and Jerry, I gotta admit, that that's some kind of powerful thing that he said. Um Because you're right. And people think that's in the Bible.
It's not in the Bible. It doesn't say that. It says, no temptation is overcome you except that which is common to man. But that doesn't say that he's not going to put more on you than you can handle. And I did love his turn on that: that we can't handle it alone.
And clearly, Sonia. You know, there must have been some prayer involved, I'm guessing that they used your sense to.
Sometimes I didn't think I was going to get up and be able to get in front of this man and be in the same room with him sometimes.
So I just felt so Scared. Oh, I I can't im I can't imagine. Because even in the courtroom, it still has to trigger a lot of memories. Um Well, he actually lunged at me in the courtroom one day. And so from then on, a sheriff had to be between he and I.
So, um But after that, I was just so fearful and so afraid to go into the courtroom where he was. And if it hadn't been for God, I don't think that I could have walked in that courtroom all those times.
Okay. I can sense that in your voice. Um But I I I can't tell you what your call means to us, I know I know it means a ton to a lot of people listening out there who can relate. Your courage to do that, like your courage to walk into that courtroom is a testimony to your faith. And we're so grateful for that, Sonia.
Well, I'm just thankful for you guys. I'm thankful I got to hear that this morning. It was such a blessing to me. And I also would like to just tell women out there and men as well who are in these terrible relationships because The district attorney here in Winston-Salem, he wrote a letter to the other district attorneys around the country. Saying, telling my story because it takes up to seven times for a person to get out of a relationship like that, and people think they can't do it, but if you believe, you can.
That's powerful. It really is. It really is. I hate we got to go to a break. But Sonia, God bless you.
Okay, you guys have a great day.
Sonia, thank you for sharing that. Yes, yes. And you're going to be in our prayers. I can assure you. Thank you.
We come back. We'll be right back. We need to hear from you. 866-348-7884. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.
In Christ alone My hope is found And He is my light, my strength. Why so? This cornerstone This solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love What the Of peace when fear. Yeah. When striving cease Flight lessons today on the Christian Car Guy Show and Strivings.
cease. Like, oh my goodness. Right. If I could just live my whole life without without striving. But I have to just I I just have to pause and say, God is so good.
Man, when I heard Sonia's call, And I could hear her heart. And forty-six did she say? Yeah. Well, you know, Robbie, the thing, it sort of backs back to what I said about you with this radio station and doing this program. changing people's lives and being an encouragement.
Sonia, I can't imagine how many women and men Sonia just encouraged with her story. And there's a lot of those stories out there and and that that people could Yeah, they could call us at 866-348-7884 and share yours. We would love to hear it. 866-348-7884. But I certainly feel compelled to pray for Sonia.
And so if you all join me, let's pray.
So, Jesus, thank you, thank you, thank you for the work you've done in Sonia's life and for this chapter turning as she now comes to a new normal. Lord, I pray for her heart that you would continue to bring a healing, that you would continue to bring her opportunities to share what you've done, but also that you would help her. You know, get move on to whatever you have for her next in the way that you have prepared her, because clearly you have brought her through that pain, that place of weakness and feigning and weariness, Lord. And now I pray that you would just continue to lift her up to the next level, or whatever it is that you have for her, Lord. I pray that she would sense your presence and feel that fullness of joy that only comes from that place.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Amen. So You know, I'd I'd I talked about uh that That word Yeah. You know, I've heard it said actually by my boss.
It says that's kind of like waiting on the Lord, means. You know, like you're a waiter at a restaurant, say, Oh, you usually get him and it's like knowing what God wants and walking into it. I know it's not sitting there drumming your fingers, but when you look at it deeply in Hebrew, the word is kava. And I don't want to go into too much detail about the letters other than to say that they're pictures. The letters are pictures.
And that first letter of the word Kava, you can see it sounds like a Q because it is the word, you know, the letter Kuf in Hebrew. And it has to do, it begins with the word holiness, which is Kedosh in Hebrew. And it is very much a holiness word, and holiness has to do with proximity. The closer you get to God, like Moses, right, you get to this place of the burning bush that's not consumed. In other words, There's no there's no striving involved in the bush burning.
It's just Continuing to burn, right? And Moses is trying to figure this one out, right? Like, how can this happen? And so, as he pushes into that, he is convincing, he is waiting on the Lord. In other words, he.
Yeah. Trying to see You know, what do you what's going on here? And asking the right person the question. Right? It's taking the question.
You have those questions? Take them to God. That's what he did. He went like, what's up with this? What's up with this?
And that's Kava. The first time you find that word in the Bible is in Genesis 1:9 when it says that God gathered the waters together.
So, the word to wait is also the same word as to gather. And when you think of those waters gathering, right, you get the picture of this. Union. that that takes place when that happens. And when it does...
you go out of time because God doesn't operate in time. And so when you get close enough with God, and that letter has everything to do with time and space. And so when you get close, and you know, because you've talked about the Bible with somebody and you looked up, and the next thing you know, two hours went by, and you went, How in the world did that happen?
Well, you went into the. God's own the closer you got to God, or maybe you know, you just had a deep, deep conversation with somebody and time got away.
Well, guess what happened? You covered, you got into this point, yeah, you were waiting, but in another sense, you were put you were pushing into the situation, and in there. Is something spectacular. The second letter is, which is just a straight line, but it represents Jacob's ladder.
Okay? And so when you put that Those are the two. out of the three letters.
So you have this idea of pushing into God up Jacob's ladder. No wonder you go flying.
Okay, no wonder you take wing. Right? Because who's Jacob's ladder? It's Jesus, right? He's the one, he's the one that's going to take us up.
As you take that idea of gathering this kava and then it's expressed with what you feel. is even though the storm is raging and you're feeling weak and weary and all this, there's something that happens in there where you're feeling something that you don't normally get to feel. We got Mike is in Dayton, Ohio. Mike, you're on the Christian Car Guy Show.
Well, thanks for taking my call. I don't I know we're we've been friends a little bit, and I don't think you know this about me. I'm dyslexic. I don't know why I'm saying that now because God's over let me overcome that. Um It's really hard for me to read.
Well, it was hard for me to read. And uh quick story, I was going in the Marine Corps and um I had to take that ASBAT test and I did I couldn't take it very well. I mean, I was I was. Barely passing, and I'm in a hotel room, and I'm saying, God, please help me get through this. You know, I need to, I want to go in the Marine Corps.
I know that's your will. And God said, Okay, uh He said, Open that drawer, and open the drawer, and there's the Gideon Bible there. And he said, Read the Bible, and that'll help you get through this test. I said, God, what are you talking about? How am I reading the Bible is going to get me through this test?
So it calmed me down, it relaxed me. I read the Bible, I slept like a baby. I got up the next morning and I aced the test. I pretty much aced the test. I did so well, they made me take the test three more times.
after that because they thought I cheated. Yeah. And I did. I really and I was able to go into the Marine Corps. And uh God taught me something from that day on.
I was only eighteen years old. And um When you don't think you can do something, Call out the gods. If you like wisdom, right, you don't have it 'cause you don't ask. And that's but the the Bible, it it is it's all about, you know, when you just think about dyslexia in itself. Right?
In the order That they're supposed to be, right? In order to make it to understand it.
Well, honestly, Mike. I think we're all disliking. I've often thought, you know, because you may know I taught special needs for years and years. And I came to the conclusion that everybody is on an autism s spectrum. That there's some part of ADD, like I have attention deficit disorder, which is part of the autism spectrum.
Like everybody can't focus on what they need to focus on at the moment in time they need to focus on it, which is not unrelated to dyslexia, right? And so. Mm-hmm. You know, the reason why Jesus healed so many blind men is he pointed out in the book to Laosidae in the chapter in Revelation. Was That we need to counsel him to buy Sav, which is just to do what you did, Mike, just to read the Bible.
But. Jerry, I hate we're out of time. Mike, I hate we're out of time. As always, God has blessed this show. I am thrilled with your call, and I did not know that, but I know you were a good Marine.
Well, thank you. I have to tell people, though, they have to slow down. And remember, Jesus walked everywhere he went, but as you slow down, Kavak, wait on the Lord. Thank you, Jerry. Thank you, Robbie.
Take flight. Yeah.
