When purchasing a used car, it's essential to check the vehicle's history, including any accidents or service records. A Carfax report can provide valuable information, but it's not always 100% accurate. Additionally, buyers should be aware of the types of warranties available, including powertrain and as-is options. Restoring a classic car can be a significant undertaking, requiring specialized knowledge and resources. Joining a car club can be a great way to connect with other enthusiasts and find reliable mechanics for restoration work.

Right back. And we do welcome you to the CNC auto show.

And if you're looking for information on ways to make your car safe, dependable and long lesson, then you have come to the right place. I'm Aaron Clements and I'm here with Phillip Hawkins. We've been having a great time. Yes.

During the breaks. And then when we went in a little while ago, we was talking about cars, actually, and blower motors and stuff like that. So we've been having a great time. We've been answering some questions having to do with automotive repairs and answering questions to do with used cars. Because I've mentioned before that Phillip is the most knowledgeable person that I know when it comes to used cars. And he's kind of gave us some ideas and some insights on what is going on now in the industry and what to expect in the future.

In the industry. And in short, it's going to be okay. We're going to be all right. We're going to be all right.

Time's going to cure all this. Yeah, well, okay. You ready to go to the cost? Absolutely. Okay, here we go. Hold on.

Hey, buckle that seat belt now. We got to get it. Okay. Welcome to the CNC auto show. And what can we help you with Robbie? Yes, sir.

I'd like to take a shot at the tech tip quiz. Oh, you know what that means? Don't you?

He must have the right answer. Yeah. Confident. Yeah, I like that. Yeah.

He sounded really confident. And so, uh, Robbie, um, do you mind? I'm going to have to walk you up here on stage. Hold on. Hold on right there. Yeah.

All right, Robbie. I know the lights are really bright and it's hot there. You'll be sweating a good bit. Uh, but we will know in very shortly on if you have the answer. I'm going to read the question real quick. No trip. They plan to drive part of route 66, 66. They plan the five days very carefully. And they, they planned out every stop and everything.

They had everything packed and ready and they had planned. They were going to spend about $2,500. Well, when they returned home, they found out they actually spent over $25,000. Why did it cost so much?

And Robbie, all eyes are on you. What's the answer to today's tech tip quiz? Well, before they had went on the trip, they had posted on Facebook or some social media that, um, that they were about to make this trip since it's a milestone in their marriage. And they went and had a great time. And when they got back, they noticed their, uh, window on their front door was broken in. Somebody came in and, uh, cleared them out. So you're saying that they had the car all packed up. They were all thrilled, all happy 25th anniversary. They made a, I mean, had an outstanding trip.

Everything went good and they come home and somebody had actually stolen all of their electronics and jewelry and all kind of stuff like that. Is that right? Yes, sir.

And instead of paying 2,500 on a little remodel in the kitchen, they got to spend 25, I mean, thousand dollars on replacing everything. Thank you very much. Wow. That's interesting.

So you're saying while they were out, uh, posting, somebody came and took them for a ride. All right, people. That's good. That's good people. Go, go back into the room.

They just go, they go crazy there, Robbie. Um, but yes, you're absolutely right. You know, that makes you an official tech tip quiz winner. You got something to be proud of there today. Wow.

What do you see this price? Yeah, yeah, exactly. I answered detective quiz and a lot of times people that go out of town for a few days right after they win because the news people will be pulling up to your door and all that other stuff. So just, um, just stay calm and you might try to get out of town while you can.

And, uh, and then, and then many people go to talk to a, uh, a financial advisor, so they'll know what to do with all this. Hey Robbie, stay on the line because they will get a lot of information from you. Andy, and what we'll do is just so nobody else to know when you call in, just say the word winner.

That'd be the passcode. And when you say that, we'll know that you won and, uh, and you will know it's you. So everything will work out good. Hey Robbie, we appreciate it very much. I appreciate you letting me be on the show. Well, thank you for being on there. You hung on there a while.

Yeah, he did. But he's a winner. He's a winner.

Winners are patient. They are. All right.

Okay. And if the Mr. Producer at the radio station will get the information from Robbie, I appreciate that. That's Anthony, by the way. Anthony is absolutely fantastic. Mason is here who was awesome at running the board on this end. And then we have May, uh, Anthony, which is at the, on the other side of town somewhere.

He's in a nondescript building, I guess. But anyway, he's there and he handles it on that end and he'll be taking the information. Okay. We appreciate that.

Okay. We are, we, uh, we covered all kinds of things to do with, uh, with vehicles. I guess one of the things that I wanted to ask you, Phillip, what, what color do you think is one of the most popular colors that people get now? Actually, I've read this recently that believe it or not, white is the most popular color followed by silver, gray, then black. And I think fifth is red. And, uh, when you look on the car lot, a lot of times I look out there and I go, well, we don't, we don't have any color. It's all black, white, and gray. I said, we've got to get some red, blue, green, you know, that just doesn't sell.

Uh, the people don't buy them. They, uh, they stick to the one thing. And I think a lot of it in the south is the white, the silver, the grays. They, they, uh, don't pull in so much heat. The black throws a curve in that. Well, we, um, for some reason, I like the white vehicles here at the shop for shuttle vehicles, loaner vehicles, stuff like that, uh, because they seem to stay clean, uh, or at least they look clean longer. They might not necessarily stay clean, stay clean, looking long. A lot of people look at that and say, well, no, no white shows dirt only on your pants, not on your car. Yeah, that is true. So, uh, so I like, and plus the white cars look good with our little decals that we put on there and they don't age. That's another thing. You know, you can't look at it and tell this is a trendy color. Oh, that's good.

Yeah. And they hold up well too. So white is a good color and charcoal.

I do love that, that color, more of a silver or charcoal. Uh, what reasons do you see that people buy vehicles? Oh, wow.

I mean, some of the main reasons. You know, a lot of, I'll say back in the day, uh, you had people that, uh, just impulse, they would, they saw something they wanted. They, uh, caught their eye or whatever you want to say. Uh, like we were talking about the couple on the trip, you know, they see something they liked.

They didn't plan on buying, but nowadays people are very methodical about what they want to buy, what they want to pay, what their budget is. And they, they pretty much stick to it. And, uh, and that's a good thing.

It is. And, and sometimes, well, for instance, the reason we had to buy another vehicle, this on two occasions, this is through the shop and this was through home where somebody ran into hours. And of course you can do that. Do the, um, does the person ever come in and let's say that they received an X amount of dollars from an insurance settlement, uh, for their, uh, for what their vehicle was worth. And they say, this is what I want to spend.

I have a lot of what I call need to buyers. In other words, their car either got wrecked, uh, involved in an accident totaled, and it doesn't take a lot to total a car anymore. And as you know, the parts on these things are very expensive to replace and the labor and, uh, get a lot of people who didn't, they're forced into the market and, uh, get a lot of that. And they get people that, uh, take the car down to the nub, uh, so to speak.

In other words, uh, all kinds of different reasons. All right. Uh, well, I see people being a lot more practical, uh, even during great times in the economy to last 10 or 12 years. Yeah, they are.

People's able to do more research on their own. Okay. I'm here with Phillip Hawkins. When we return, we will let you know something or know about something you should check before purchasing a late model car. You can be dialing 800-224-9090 or 7 0 6 8 6 3 5 800.

That's on any Saturday morning, 8 0 5 to 10. And we'll be right back for over a century. Stay tuned and ready to call in and you may be the winner of a swag bag from Michelin, a better life in motion.

And we are back with you with the CNC auto show. I'm here with Phillip Hawkins and we are discussing things to do with used cars and we're discussing questions about your car. So if you've got a little noise in your car or you think that you may be due for some type of service, possibly a transmission fluid exchange, a coolant fluid exchange, power steering fluid exchange.

If your brakes are making a little bit of noise, any of that type of stuff, you give us a call and we will be prepared to answer that. Now on the used car side, one of the things that we looked at, we talked about was a couple of little papers that it's a good idea to check when you're purchasing a car. And some may tell you some history of the vehicle.

Phillip, what's some things that people should look for when they're purchasing? Well, Carfax, a lot of people are familiar with that. It's kind of a database for not only accidents but service. 95% accurate.

It's not always 100% but it's a good place to start. It gives you the history of the car from beginning to end. Actually we'll show you where it was sold new, how many owners it's had, has it been in an accident, and even Carfax is categorizing the accidents by minor. I think it's good that they started doing that because my guess is most of the vehicles on the road has had an accident of some kind.

Yes, I read recently where a five-year-old car, 70% of them have been in some kind of little fender bender, which I found that hard to believe, but as I look and shop every day myself for cars, I see it. And a minor, maybe someone backed into your car at the mall, didn't do one thing. In fact, it says on the Carfax, accident, no damage. I said, how can that be, accident, no damage? Well, it was just reported that the other person's car may have been damaged.

Or you didn't know it didn't, that scratch just rubbed off. So, you know, it has red flags to tell you that it's been in a major crash. So a person shouldn't get too alarmed if they're looking through one and it says accident, that don't necessarily mean that it was like $20,000 worth of damage to the vehicle. Nowadays, the insurance company, the last thing they want to do is fix a car that costs, you know, $15,000, $20,000. They don't want that customer to be unhappy when the repair is done.

The body shop really, nowadays, everybody's got part shortages. They got labor problems to fix these cars. They got more business than they know what to do with. Or they tell them that it's going to run $20,000 and then they get into it and they end up spending $30,000. Right, right. So the insurance company, actually, the last thing they want to do is...

They want their people to be happy. Yeah, absolutely. So if it's one that's a chance of other issues. Philip, we have a question. We have a question. I'm going to go over to Mark. And if I'm not mistaken, he may have a question for you. Mark, welcome to the CNC Auto Show and what can we help you with?

Thank you. I'd like to ask Philip. I've bought a car for him before, but I'm a child of the 60s. And I had a 64 Impala Supersport convertible, a 69, a 442. If I was looking for a muscle car now, do y'all have the expertise or the people that can help you find something like that? I'm just reluctant to try and do something on the Internet.

Well, that's a good question. I'm having a hard enough time finding regular cars, Mark. You would think I was looking for classics right now. Believe it or not, I look at thousands of cars a day, sometimes only by two.

So if I were to go myself looking for classic cars, is that what you're asking, or would be a good place to start? Right, exactly. Well, there's an old publication, Hemmings. I don't know if you're familiar with that or not. It used to be a magazine, but it's now online.

There's a thing called Bring a Trailer. Are you familiar with that? I'm not.

Okay. It is a site that my son is into collecting Toyota Land Cruisers back from the 80s, and he keeps up with the values of that. And I'm a car guy, and in my spare time, I love all this stuff, and I try to keep up with a little bit about what's going on. And that's a good site to get an idea for what these cars are bringing.

It'll show you what they sold for, what the last bid was on it. But you really got to be boots on the ground. You can buy it on the internet.

You can find it on the internet, excuse me. But I tell people, you know, go put your hand on it before you write the check. Right.

Well, I guess that's my other question. If I found one locally, Aaron, is that a service that y'all provide as far as checking out the drivetrain and just the basic driveability? I'm not looking for a show car, but just the driveability of a car. Well, we can check the mechanical side of it, but I would really recommend having that car checked out by someone who has the expertise. Because sometimes one small serial number different than what it should be can make a huge difference in the value of a vehicle.

Or one little change in the model, like RS or something like that, that it has the thing on it, but it's not real. Mark, are you looking for a car to enjoy and drive, not one to... Exactly. Okay.

I don't need a show car. Right. I think Aaron could do a really good job on the mechanical checkout.

Not worrying about is it a matching numbers? Was it originally this engine or that engine? That gets into big money cars quick, especially in the kind of cars you're talking about. And it's made to drive and enjoy, and it is made to look at, but I think with Aaron and maybe if someone else's eyes, you won't make a mistake. Yes. The main thing is the body and underneath the car.

And Mark, I'm going to mention one other thing, then we're going to run. But get involved in some of these car clubs. Absolutely. They can be huge.

They can put you on the car, too. Sure can. That you're looking for. I thought about that, yeah. Yeah.

Go to the snow cap in North Augusta and hang out. Yeah. That'll do it. Hey, we appreciate your call, Mark.

I can get a handbag over there, too. That's right. All right. Okay. Thank you. Okay.

We'll be right back after this. CNC Auto Show is brought to you in part by Behrman Products. Your vehicle a little sluggish.

Back in the day, most cars had V-belts, which meant that if one belt broke or come off the pulley, you would lose one system, such as the AC, power steering, water pump, or alternator. Most cars today have serpentine belts. If you lose a serpentine belt, you lose many systems at once, causing a breakdown or damage to the engine. For the belt to last, it must be a good quality belt, pulley, and tensioner. When something as important as serpentine belts are involved in your repairs or maintenance, I would get the best parts available, and that's Michelin belts with premium EPDM synthetic rubber and SmartStretch design, idlers that are designed and manufactured to reduce wear and friction, and tensioners that minimize vibrations to deliver you optimal efficiency. To help highlight the important role serpentine belts, idlers, and tensioners play with your vehicle, we're giving away a Michelin swag bag, including a stainless tumbler, pocket key ring, digital tire gauge, baseball cap, and a flap-insulated cooler bag.

Stay tuned and ready to call in, and you may be the winner of a swag bag from Michelin, a better life in motion. And we're back with you with the CNC Auto Show, and we were talking about a little earlier, is it Route 66 or is it Route 66? Route 66. Route 66. And that song that we just played had Route 66. So, that settles it.

It's a route. If it's in a song, it's got to be the way it is. It's got to be right. It's got to be right. So, I think that was Jim called a little earlier. So, Jim, you were right on it. Okay, I'm Eric Clements here with Phillip Hawkins, and we're doing what we love to do, and that's talking about cars, and we would love to answer your automotive questions, whether that's a mechanical type question or if you have a question about used cars, you can give us a call, and that number is 800-224-9090, or you can call 706-863-5800. Either way, you're good. That's 80510 Eastern Time.

You can also catch us live on Facebook. Phillip, one of the things that I was interested in was discussing warranties on used vehicles is what different types of warranties can a person get, and how would the question come up, or how would they ask the person that they're buying from what type of warranty? Well, we actually do, at our place, a needs analysis, and let's just say you're buying a two or three-year-old car. It may have a little bit of factory warranty left on it, but Mr. Jones, who's buying the car, is going to keep it for five or six years, and it's going to be out of the warranty part of the time he's going to own it.

He wants coverage. As you know, it costs a lot of money for these repairs, and people want coverage so that they don't have what we call a budget buster. And nobody wants a $3,000 ABS block going out on their car, and we typically will do an analysis that fits. The price of the warranty will depend on the amount of coverage you want and the timeframe that suits you as far as your driving.

How many miles a year you drive, how you use the car. We use all state warranties, which is good hands, people. Not many people even know they do car warranties, but we did the research on it, and they're the best, by far. And that's a good thing to mention, because I have people ask me about warranties a lot of times. I recommend going to the internet, checking for reviews.

Yes, yes. I did all kinds of research before I signed up with them. I actually called your shop and didn't even talk to you. I wanted to talk to the person who handled the claims. How do they handle their claims? And I called several other shops and dealerships to see how they handle their claims.

And I kept getting great reviews, so naturally, that's what I went with. But definitely, as a person that is purchasing a used car, they want to ask the warranty does it already, what type of factory warranty does it have less? Or even if it doesn't have factory warranty, what is covered on this car?

Exactly. The cars I'm selling, most people want the warranties. If you're buying an older car with more mileage, you need to know when you leave there what that warranty is. Is it powertrain only? Is it as is? And a lot of cars are sold as is in a certain price. Yeah, they got the little check mark.

Absolutely. If you see the as is, ask. So when it says as is, that means you need to do even more research. And if you're dealing with a long-established company, high probability you wouldn't have this problem, but sometimes if you're talking about warranty or talking about they'll do this or that, and then the salesperson says, yeah, we'll take care of that.

Well, you may go back a month later and that person may not be there. So the things that you discuss, you want to have written down so you can Get it in writing. Yeah, get it in writing. Get it in writing. Yeah.

Somebody told me a long time ago, it's not in writing. It didn't happen. Absolutely.

Never happened. Okay. You ready to go to the cause?

Absolutely. All right. Let's go over to Charles. Hello, Charles, and welcome to the CNC Auto Show. What can we help with?

Hey, how you doing? Listen, I got an old Jeep and I'm just thinking about getting it restored. Is anybody in the area that does restoration work? You know, Phillip might know someone, but the person that I heard there was a person say 10 miles from here, but what, unless he knows somebody, the best option that I know of would be to get involved in some of these car clubs that they have. And you know, most every city, cause this show plays in other areas. So I want to mention it for, uh, for those, as a matter of fact, that gives me a chance to mention, we just started playing in KKGX in Palm Springs, California. I want to welcome them.

Okay. Um, but, uh, with the places that we, um, that we played, there's almost always a car club around. And just in this area, we've got like the road angels, the gas car club, the Mustang club.

It's just, the list goes on. Find a car club that sort of fits in with the type vehicle that you have. And then ask those questions, just like you're asking me, because you may need something as simple as a, a little upholstery work, and they'd be able to send you to a one person, but you may need some paint work and they may send you to another person. So you could save a lot of money, but the, the main answer, I don't have a, a place.

Uh, my answer would be, I don't know of anybody that, that, uh, the name I've heard of one, but I, I've never, uh, I've never took the time to look up exactly where they're at. Charles, I'm gonna inject here a minute. I think, uh, depending on what year the Jeep is and how, how much you want to restore it, uh, restoration has a wide, uh, cast. Yeah.

Big time. Right. So, uh, I would Google it, call, call maybe some other people in the area, but I think there's going to be a need for what you're talking about. Cause a lot of people are interested in restoring older cars and they don't know where to turn. Yeah. Now, is this like a Jeep or like an army Jeep that you're restoring? Well, I think it's, I think it's ex-military.

It's a 53 and it runs and everything's pretty decent on it, but I'd like to get it where you could enjoy it a little better. Yeah. Give me a call. I got, uh, I know several people that have had a lot of stuff done on military Jeeps that they've got restored.

They put them in parades and things like that. And if you give me a call, I'll give you a person's name that, uh, would have a lot of experience. He orders all his parts online, uh, get some very quickly. Uh, so, and he would know, I know that he had a lot of work done on it, but like Phillip mentioned, some people, when they mentioned restore, they're talking about frame up, which gets into big dollars. Other times they're talking about making it where it's in nice looking drivable condition. So you want to, you want to discuss with these people. That's what I want.

Nice drivable condition. Yeah. Jump in there and, uh, and, and getting involved in some of these car clubs, best way to find a good car club is go to a car show. And, uh, and they'll, those that are at the car show, these car clubs know each other. Sometimes they don't like each other.

Yeah, they do. So that would be what we would recommend. All right. Okay. Hey, great call. Thank you. Okay.

Call 7 0 6 8 6 3 5 800 or 800 2 2 4 9 0 9 0. You have a call. Let's move over here to Ron. Ron, welcome to the CNC auto show. Good morning, fellas. Uh, just, uh, to extend what that other fellow was asking.

Um, I was watching the reports of the hurricane coming up from, uh, Cuba and all. And I noticed the, uh, the old cars in Cuba and I got to thinking, uh, that's something that we're going to be going into given our current economic system, uh, if there was someone that could, uh, go to the, you know, a refurbished vehicle that has a, uh, you know, some mileage on them and make them look good. Yeah. Uh, you know, uh, with that guy, what he's talking about with a Jeep, my advice would, I mean, if you're going to do a frame off restoration, you better dig deep. But if you want something nice and rideable, take the vehicle to a good mechanic that you can trust and tell them to go through it and make it mechanically sound.

After you've done that, take it to a good body man and tell him you want a decent paint job done on it. That's just the most economical way to do it. Yeah. And some shops are cut out for that type of stuff. And some are not for even the mechanical stuff, uh, because there's some specialty shops that, uh, that, uh, that do, uh, not complete restorations, but do things like that, that have access to get in the parts and the things that need to be done. And they have dedicated people just for some of the earlier model vehicles, but you're right.

I mean, that, that's definitely a good way to go find a, just do some research, find a good shop. Yeah. Uh, and one last thing, guys, uh, I'm, uh, I've been looking for a good truck, uh, you have good farm truck and I've heard of this gov.

What does it call go? Hey, Ron, hold one second and we will get that information for you. Hold on one sec.

We'll be right back after this. Oh, rapid roar that stock car boy, he the best driver in the land. If you have a question about your car, truck, or SUV, you give us a call that number 800-224-9090 or 7 0 6 8 6 3 5 800. We were talking with Ron and Ron, we answered your first question, but your second had to do with, you're looking for a farm truck. Is that right?

That's right. And, uh, I heard this field called gov deals.com where they sell their, you know, uh, older vehicles. They, they don't keep them very long. They look like they're in great shape, uh, mechanically. I'm sure they're sound because they have to be maintenance regular.

Just get, just if y'all could give me y'all's thoughts on purchasing something like that, would it be worthwhile or is it just too much aggravation? No, I, I'm going to inject here you, you looking on a site that says it's government, uh, sale government, government deals.com Columbia County has it, uh, you know, it's, uh, uh, you know, routine vehicles, they got F one fifties, F two fifties. Yeah, I think that's a really good idea. Uh, then you're right.

They do keep their, they got government money to keep them up so they don't mind spending the money to our tax dollars, which is what we want them to do. Right. I paid for that maintenance. That's right.

That's right. Go, go get it. Take advantage of it. I agree. They do a great job.

I have some good technicians. Do you know if it's an auction or is it a, just a price deal? From what I understand, Philip, uh, you, uh, you put in a bid and you have to secure your money to the account. They're like, if, uh, you just one particular vehicle you want to go to 3000 or whatever, and they'll go up to that 3000 and if anybody out bids, it goes to whoever the highest bidder is. So it's a seal bid. Yeah. I guess that's what be more accurate would be a sealed bid. I'm just a little bit nervous about those because, you know, I don't like that. I just have to tell you that I'm not choosing anybody of any foul play, but, uh, I'm the same way, you know, but you know, you know, the thing that I would do, Ron, is just put in a bid that you're comfortable with and then maybe add 10% to it because you're always going to pay a little more than you want to and just walk away. If you get it, you get it.

If you don't, you don't, but, uh, that's a wonderful way to find a cheap truck. Yes. Yes. Yeah.

And you know, you might want to add 20%. Yeah. Yeah. I always, I always bid on these things every day and you always end up paying a little more than you want to.

It's kind of like going and shopping for anything else. You always pay a little more than you want to. But always be prepared to quit. Right. Right. Don't ever keep going forever. Well, uh, yeah, I got the scars to prove that that can be hazardous to your health.

Have your breaking point somewhere. Ron, thank you for the call very much. Guys, I really appreciate your help and y'all have a safe weekend. And you do the same. Bye bye. Okay.

The number to call 7 0 6 8 6 3 5 800 or 800 2 2 4 9 0 9 0. Let's go over to Roger, Roger, welcome to the CNC auto show. Uh, yeah, so I'm, uh, I'm driving from Augusta to Atlanta to see, uh, by one of my best friends in the world. And I was turned on the radio.

I was looking for some gangster rap music and I couldn't find any, but I came across your show. Oh, fantastic. Give it a try. Anyway.

Yeah, we will. What are you driving? I was never really a car person. I'm driving up a 2008 Pontiac G6 hardtop convert. Oh, wow. Wow. And, uh, it's got eight, 18,000 miles on, you know, I was never a big car person.

My cars were just things to put my stuff in and go until I got this car. Oh, yeah. I love it.

I had a lot of problems with it. Roger is the top down. Yeah, it's, uh, it is. I can, you know, that's funny. You asked that. I drove my vehicle in this morning. I am a convertible person myself and I, and just this morning, I drove my car home last night, top down, drove my car to the show this morning, top down, and it'll probably stay down unless I get caught in the rain the rest of the year. All right.

What can we help with? I'll be honest. That's the, so that's the, that's the attraction of this car. Well, so it's actually, it took me a long time to get the top fixed. It's a, it's a wonder of engineering.

I wonder why they ever engineered it. I guess you could say, but I finally got that working. But my problem I have with it now is with the, uh, the radio, um, it's got so many, you know, even for 2008, it's got a lot of, uh, uh, you know, computer systems, you know, average this car pressure, that tire, this, you know, all the things are tied to the menu on this radio and the, uh, the parts seem to work. However, I mean the, the mechanisms in the radio, the menu information about the car seemed to work. However, the radio itself is strange. It when I turn the car on, sometimes the radio will come on right away. Sometimes there's like this delay of up to five to 10 minutes and the radio won't come on and, and it, and then I turn the volume all the way up cause I'm thinking, well maybe have the volume down and then I forget and all of a sudden it just comes on with a blast of sound and I'll turn it down quickly. But I don't know, is this something that you've heard of or, and then the second part of this question, is it worth considering switching out a new radio with all of the, you know, this, you can't get this, this don't make this car anymore.

You can't get the parts for it. I don't know what type of radio would work, but is it worth considering getting a different radio system with all of the, uh, interactions? So that's, that's my question as to what the electrical, I guess of the radio. I can, I can mention my experience on my car and Phillip may have some stuff he wants to add to this. Uh, my personal car, I have a, uh, it's a, uh, 2000 BMW.

It's got less, well, it's got a hundred thousand miles on it now and top that very recently. Uh, but I love driving that car, but the radio is, is a good radio. The speakers are not that great right now, but, and I like to keep a lot of stuff original, but I really want to have my Bluetooth. I really want some other type of navigation system because I'm trying to make a decision on whether I want to put an external GPS or an internal. I won't buy up, but I want them, I want it to where I can, uh, talk on the phone and read my map at the same time.

And that's what I'm having trouble with now. So I plan on replacing, uh, yeah, it, it has a, what now? And I plugged a little Bluetooth into it. It has an auxiliary 3.5 Jack, so I just plugged a little Bluetooth into it and that works, but it's the same problem. The sound won't come on.

Anyway, go ahead. I just thought I would just short. I would have the car scanned if no code stored. I would recommend another radio, uh, just get another radio. And now there are places you can send those off to have them repaired, but you want to try to be sure it's in the radio because I might be wrong, but that one may have a system set up.

It sounds like the amplifier, it could be the amplifier, which is very important. Roger. We out of time, man. I really do appreciate the time.
