Sharing the gospel and preaching the word is a crucial part of a Christian's life, and it can happen in unexpected moments, such as a conversation with a stranger or a chance encounter with someone who needs to hear the good news. The Holy Spirit can empower believers to share the gospel and use Scripture to guide them in their conversations.

This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth. I can't hide it. Holy A daily program powered by the Truth Network.

This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. Where do you Preach the word.

Right, it's a fascinating thing. Today is 8-4. And if you happen to know that we're with Dr. Date, the word Carson today, that means that you've got to look at Acts 8:4. And Acts 8:4 says, Therefore they were scattered abroad and went everywhere, preaching.

The word. And so therein lies the question I think we all have to ask ourselves: where do we? Preach the word. 866-348-788. Four is the number to call in and share.

What a neat opportunity when you really think about it. You get to preach the word. Where do you do that? 866. The number to call 866-348-1.

Seven eight eight four You know, and we were talking about it right before the show started, Doc. In order to Preach it, you first have to get it. Yes, yes. And then where do you preach the gospel? When do you preach the gospel?

Why do you preach the gospel? And you got to preach the gospel. Uh e everywhere. I love that verse. everywhere.

for them taking the gospel everywhere was all of a sudden there was persecution like they had never known before in this early church. And and uh some guy named Saul He will become Paul. But before he becomes Paul, he is on a rampage. He watched Stephen be stoned in chapter 7. And he was consenting.

This is good. These Christians, these followers of the way, they need to be put out of business. And he was making it his business to arrest Christians and to put them out of business.

Well, all that did was stir them up to s be scattered, but scattered with the word. And where do we preach the gospel? Yeah, so what, you know, I could just say that, you know, it's one of my favorite things. To share. Like, you know, I study in the morning and I've done that for years.

And I I they they knew way back when I came to Winston-Salem, you know, thirty some odd years ago that When I Came to work in the morning, whoever I saw, I'd say, You know what I read this morning? I read the, you know, I got. like I told you this morning, like I was, yeah, I was reading in Psalm 85 about these the way that grace and I mean, the way that truth and peace and righteousness and kindness, you know, come together. And I I get it, and then you just can't keep it inside, right? You get a good chance to go share that.

How do you do that? Like, what opportunities do you have? Is it with your kids? Is it with the people you work with? Maybe you get a chance to teach Sunday school.

Well, you know, where is that happening for you? And how does it happen? 866-348-7884. It's a beautiful thing because the word is truth.

Some some people are very intentional. And some people If they're just being aware they're we call them Divine Interruptions. That are really divine appointments. You didn't, it wasn't intentional that you were going to go witness to this person, but all of a sudden, There they are. You're having a conversation, and it's like, why are we together?

Why did this just happen? Oh, I've got a story to share with you. And uh sometimes that story comes because of an accident.

Sometimes it comes because of y you got in some trouble and you had to meet with somebody and as you're talking with them, all of a sudden you're realizing this has happened so that I can share the gospel with them. Um You know, with me, date the word, I'm looking for those opportunities to ask a person uh when's their birthday? And today I was at Lowe's getting some bird feed and uh there was nobody lying. And so you know what happened. I'm sitting there.

Carolyn, there's no one else there. And I said, so I know I'm not going to interrupt her work day. And I said, Carolyn, if you got a quick moment. When's your birthday? And she told me, uh, September the 3rd.

I said, 9.3. Oh, you're going to love this. I pull up my phone, pull up the app, and I show her Daniel 9.3. I've had Daniel He s set his face to seek the Lord in prayer and supplication. And I showed that to her and she got so excited, Robbie, oh my word.

She said, Where'd you get that from? And she's grabbing a pen and a piece of paper. She wants to write it down. I said, here's my business card. You can download the app and then all of these verses are available to you.

Share with other people. She said, this is incredible. You have made my day.

Well, that's one of the ways I do it. But we have to do it. Amazing. Examples of what people do. And it's just they were given the opportunity and here it came.

We would love to hear your story. Like, oh my goodness, here I was. And then all of a sudden, God just and He gave me the words. How many times did that happen to you? Where You were like, well, and then all of a sudden, here came the download.

This is what you say. And when you say it, you see, oh my goodness, look what happened. 866348788486634. Truth. It is amazing.

It's like Matthew 10. Jesus said, I'm sending you guys out. And when you find yourself standing before people, kings, even, I will give you what to say. And those are, they're some of the most exciting moments when you're like. I had no clue when I started, but all of a sudden the Holy Spirit was just empowering.

Say this to him. Say this to him. Right. Right. And the things that you will never ever forget.

Well, we'd like to hear them, so we never forget, right? Those stories, when you share them on the air, and I know it takes courage to call, I understand, but when you share that stuff, you're encouraging somebody that may someday, right, be standing there by somebody that and literally think about what's at stake. Help.

Okay. If those people don't ever hear, if nobody ever tells them, right, the words that God has in mind for you to share, right, there is this place. And I just, I told Doc earlier today that I had this dream. Um about hell. And I didn't know it was about hell at the time.

I just knew, man, this place is gray, wherever I was, and people are really hateful. Yeah. And I want to make sure that our listeners heard that it's gray. He didn't say it was gray. He said it was gray.

Right. It was the color gray. There was no. It wasn't dark, it was gray. And it was horrible, depressing gray.

And the people were just Just difficult. I guess that they weren't like trying to murder me or anything. They were just difficult. And it was just a tough place. And I was.

You know Fortunately, because I ask all the time from Psalm 119, you know, I I remembered your name in the night, O Lord, and kept your word. You know, there's that idea to remember his name in the night. And all of a sudden, I remembered, like, where's Jesus in this place? And all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit came to me in the dream and said, you're in hell. That's what and you can't see any color because there's no light.

Um When I woke up out of that dream, man, I had this green picture across from the bed, and I saw this bright, beautiful green that was on the wall. And I was like, man, color, I appreciate color. You know, like, man, and I saw some reds and another thing that we had on the wall. And I was just like, oh my gosh, thank you, God, for color. Oh, no.

As it hit me, like, the people that don't know you. are going to go to a place where they never see color again. Because there's no light. I mean, he's the light of the world, and that light shines in, right, seven different hues. Blue, what is it?

Indigo, Roy G. Biv, red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, and violet. Still remember that one. But nonetheless, I'm like, man. And so this is a critical thing.

Like, we have this opportunity that God's given us that somebody told us, right?

Somebody shared it with you so that you would be able to see all the colors of the rainbow for eternity and colors beyond anything we can imagine, Doc.

Well. I'm loving listening to you talk about this because earlier, again, the passion you had. And think about what you just said. In heaven, there are rainbows. Right.

The color is going to be there. Oh, we got to get people to heaven. We got Boxman. He's calling in. How about you?

866-348. 7-8-8-4-866-34-TRUTH. Where do you preach the word? Love to hear it. We'll be right back.

Truth talk line Welcome back to Truth Talk Live.

So honored as always to have Dr. Date the word Carson on with us. And it is. 8-4, which means we're thinking about Acts 8-4, and it says everywhere they preach the word.

So, where do you, where do you preach the word? 866-348-7884-866-34 Truth. We do have Bucksman with us.

So, Buxman, how about you? I love this program, Robbie, and I love Dr. Date the word Carson, too. I still like to call him Pastor Carson because I know that's in his heart. That he and he's such a good pastor over the airwaves here on the Truth Network, too.

And yes, I've got your calendar. uh Pastor Carson.

So it's it's great. And Acts 8, 4, where Brothers, this is what you got to ask for Guys like me, and I got to do a shout out for another very evangelical friend of mine, brother of ours. His name is Austin. And he lives in Carlisle, Ohio.

Well, I think he's moved now. But uh, he lives just outside of Dayton, Ohio, where I am, and guys. Where do we not Creech. The word. is it's probably going to be a shorter list.

Then where do I preach? According to Acts. Verse 4, because right now, guys. If you want to hear some Buskman preaching, if you're in the Dayton area. I'm going down to the Dayton Dragon Stadium.

to do some busking. You know, that's what we do. We're street performers. And if you come up to me and say, Hey, I heard you on Truth Talk Live today. I will sing a special song for you.

Have you got your guitar box guitar moving? I I I gotta put strings on it, Robbie. I I let I I was out watch this, brother. I was out in the rain, buskin. This rain come up on me so fast that it just drenched me in my cigar box guitar.

which means the box Gets a little rage because it's a cigar box and it's got some wood in it, but it's mostly paper.

Okay, so I had to wait for it to dry out, and then I have to worry about the neck. On that instrument, bending, making it the intonation of the guitar neck, not right.

So I've got to put strings on it. It's dried out. It seems like everything's good and straight. But I no, I will not be bringing the cigar box. I'm doing backing tracks.

I'm cheating. I'm bringing backing tracks and just singing a lot of old songs that make people happy and makes people dance. That's what I do when I go out busking. And if you come out and say, hey, I heard you on Truth Talk Live with Robbie Dilmore and Dr. Carson, I'll sing a special song for you.

So, Truth Talk Mike, if you're out there, you know where the Dragon Stadium is. In downtown Dayton, Ohio, come down to the stadium and listen for me. And if you find me and come up and say, Hey, I heard you on the radio, I'll sing you a special song. I love the idea that you're getting to them before the dragon does. You're such a dad, Robbie.

You keep those jokes in a database, don't you? Oh, he's got dad jokes like you wouldn't believe. But nonetheless, you know, I'm thinking the Dragon Stadium. Wow, I never heard of this. The Dayton it makes sense they would be the Dayton Dragons.

The Dayton Dragons and the Dayton Flyers. Yes, the Dayton Flyers.

So what song are you going to sing? I'm going to do Norman Greenbaum's. Spirit in the sky, the one-hit wonder that Norman Greenbauer made. Remember that song? Oh, I remember it well.

Spirit in the sky. Yeah, oh, yeah. We're going to Bucksman's going to be rolling. You don't remember it, Doc? You may be a little young.

You might be a little young to remember Spirit in the Sky was about the time I was graduating from high school, 73. Right? Yeah, I was 12. Yes, yes. Late 60s, early 70s, and it was a secular song.

But it lifts up the name of Jesus like nobody's got it. Oh, it absolutely does. It absolutely does. It was part of the Jesus Revolution thing, I think. It certainly was.

It was part of the Jesus movement back in the 60s there in California. And um it was Norman Greenbaum's only hit.

So he's called that song was called a one-hit wonder. Because it took the pop culture of those days by storm. And it was all about our Lord and Savior. I think you need to hear a verse. And Bucksman, I know he can do it at a cappella, so.

Here you go, buddy. You ready? Yeah, I'm ready. I'm ready. When I die and they lay me to rest.

Gonna go to the place that's the best. When they lay me down to die, going up to the spirit in the sky. That's the opening line. But then, in one of the stanzas, it says this. Uh Oh, I forget the word.

I know it's a must. Gotta have a friend in Jesus.

So you know that when you die, it's going to recommend you the spirit in the sky. There you go. That is awesome, Buckspit. Right on cue, man. I mean, and there it is.

That is the song. You don't remember that song, Doc? No. You don't remember that one, Doc? No, sir.

I remember Jesus is all right, just all right with me by the Doobie Brothers. Yep, that's the Doobie Brothers.

Well, apparently in Virginia, they didn't. That was too far. I lived in Albuquerque at the time. Believe me, it was big out there. I was just saying.

But anyway, thank you, Bucksman. You are awesome, as always. And what a way to preach it. Sing it. Sing it.

I will. Love you guys. I got to get the basket. I'll see you out at the Dragon Stadium in downtown Dayton. All right.

There you go. So if you're out there and you see somebody singing Spirit in the Sky, you'll know. Yes. That is your chance to meet Buxman himself. Like, wow, what an opportunity.

But it tells me Buckman may be a little older than I pictured him.

Okay. Well, I always wanna when's the last time you did something for the first time and I just had something happen for the first time. My spirit in the sky. Sung by Buckman. There you go.

So how about you? How you know, I hadn't thought about singing the word, but that's amazing, right? 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. I think you should always preach somebody the word before they go to the dragon. Yeah.

When I was in New York City back in 1985, I was working with a pastor named Tom Harris. And he loved to sing. And um on Saturday afternoons he goes, Let's go to Central Park. And he'd just go down there and just start singing songs, singing Psalms, Psalms 25 unto thee, O Lord. Do I lift up my soul unto thee, O Lord?

Do I cry out to you? And just he would get a crowd so we could then share the gospel with them. And so, yeah, Bucksman's going to be singing so he can share the gospel. That is so, so cool.

So, we got Trish is in Ohio. Trish, you're on Truth Talk Live. What you got for us?

Well, I have two things real short. Um The first one is Um When you talked about the birth date, Yeah. That I just connected dots with that over like the last six months. And Always I have always loved Psalms twenty three. And I can't memorize scripture very well.

Tried and everybody said you should do it.

Well, I thought, then it came to me, God will give it to me when I need it. And I'm not going to sweat anymore. And so here I am at a fair, um, and talking to a lady that I'm purchasing Christmas gifts for. She is going to start doing Um some ministry with her church and she's going to be teaching uh the high school years, which can be kind of difficult.

So we started talking a little bit, and I was just kind of throwing out some ideas to her that I had learned from other people. And out of nowhere. I said You know, a really good thing to do to encourage them is to give them their birth date scripture. And so I told her about mine, and she was just like, oh my goodness, I love that.

So she wrote it down. And Trish, we have to go to a break, and I'm dying to hear the rest of this. Plus, the next one, can you stay with us? Through the break, yeah. Oh, please do, and we got plenty of time for you too.

If you want to call on the break, 866-348-7884. Where do you preach the word? I can hardly wait. We'll be right back. Truth, talk, life.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today's question is. Where do you preach the word and we're so blessed to have Trish? in Ohio with this And Doc. You have a real connection to her with the 23rd Psalm and 23-1, right?

Yeah, well when we look at how I do the date, the word, we have the verse for the month and the day. But that's kind of a an American thing. Most people around the world have day month And so uh for January the twenty-third, 231. That day is Psalms 23.1. And And then February 2, 23 would be Psalms.

uh 23.2.

So that's how I would memorize Psalms 23, based on the day. That's so cool, Trish.

So tell us. The rest of you, you left us right. We were talking to the lady at the fair, and I was really excited to hear. Yes. Yeah, so she was just about in tears that She has a kickoff for this year because it's her first year.

And then. You know, I told her, I said, Keep that excitement and pace yourself. I said, you know, Jesus didn't run places. He walked. And he took his time.

So and he paced himself. I said, so your excitement and everything is awesome. Just don't waste it in the first year and then get burned out. And so she said, and I said, So Psalms twenty three, you know, it says, I walk through the valley. He didn't run through it.

He ran he walked.

So she was like, Oh, my gosh, she said I needed that. And so it's just kinda neat to see that. And then the other one real quick was when I was in Walmart. Waiting at the checkout counter. Nobody else is around except for the lady in front of me, and she is lamenting to the cashier about that her mom had just called her again for the umpteenth time, you know, that day.

And, you know, I'm just sitting here listening, can't help it. And she says, she looks at me directly and says, What would you do if that was your mom? And I said, well, How old is your mom? And you know, she was in her late 70s, and I said, Oh, okay. I said, So, how old do you think she is in your mind?

And What do you mean? I said, When did your mom stop getting old? And she kind of sat there and I said, 'Cause my grandma stopped getting old at sixty five. I said, Every year she was sixty five until she died in her eighties. And she kind of sat there and she goes, Oh my gosh, I have always just thought of mom as being 62.

And I said, Well, you know. the Ten Commandments, right? And she said, Yeah. And I said, Well, there's one in there that has a promise, you know, honor your father and mother, that your days on the earth will be long. And I said, just you may not have her very long.

And she kind of sat there and looked at me, and I said, and I'm not good at this, but in the Old Testament it says to honor those with the silver hair. And she goes, I'm going to look that up. You know, and then I told her, she goes, So how ma how often does your mom call? And I said, Oh, if I want to talk to my mom, I said I go to the cemetery. And it was like A microdrop moment, and I said, I never got to know my mom.

She died when I was, you know, two. And she said, Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. And I said, No, it's okay. I said, I've had a wonderful stepmom. I go, and it's for this moment to help you so that you can.

Rethink this and cherish your mom because one of these days you're going to miss her. And then you're going to go to the cemetery and cry because you know, you wish you would have got another call from her. And, you know, I go, You you might just have to go out with her. She just wants to spend some time with you and Like I said, that's honoring to her. And so she finished up, you know, with her groceries and stuff like that and she started to walk away, she turns around.

And I mean, her face was completely changed and her heart felt Thank you. I mean, she said it like three times. And the cashier lady was just her mouth was gaping open. And she said That was so cool. She said, Is that real?

And I said, Yeah, it's real. And she goes, You did that so eloquently, she said. It was just like, and I said, like the spirit took over. And she goes, yes. And I said, it did.

You know, because all of it flowed so beautifully. And just elegantly, and just everything came what I needed, and the healing came. You know, so that's just when you're in the moment and God takes over and the Holy Spirit fills you and gives you what you need, you don't really need to be looking for opportunities. You just need to pray about If there's an opportunity today, Lord, use me for your glory and honor. And by the way, Trish.

He just did. Yes, because you couldn't have boy, what a call. Thank you. You couldn't have been more eloquent. You could not have told those stories.

With more, I don't know, man. I mean, I'm sitting here about in tears. It's just absolutely. Absolutely beautiful. it it's it's such a teachable moment for all of us to because I know I assure you, Doc's not, it's not easy for him to get on the air.

It's not easy for me or anybody else, but if you will. Be obedient. Like God's saying you have something to say because you experienced it, which you did, Trish. I mean, who knows how many people you bless today because you had the courage to call? Yeah, and it's I don't always have that desire to call But when I do, I'm always like, okay, open the door if that's what you want me to do, because it's always when I'm driving.

And it always is. I am never somewhere. It's always when I'm driving. And then I have a short drive or something. But Yeah, I just have to give a shout out too because I got The date the word book for free when I called in one time and I wasn't going to call it and then I was like, I don't know, what do you want me to have, Lord?

Because you're telling me to call.

So if you want me to sometimes it's obedience where it's I do something and nothing happens, but it was like you were being obedient. Oh, okay.

So the time that I called, I thought, well, maybe I'm not going to get anything. I you know, he wanted me to call, so I'm going to and I got the date, the word. I cannot tell you how many times I have opened that up and I went, Wow Wow, that is so for today. And I even have on some of them like three wows because. I open up my utmost for his highest.

And then I open up my Bible and all three will connect. And it's just Yeah, there's one spirit works in me, works in Doc, works in you. It's a beautiful thing. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you, Trish.

Wow. Yeah, I'm giving three wows right now. Again, thank you for your kind words about the date that we're devotional. Yes, very much. You have an amazing day.

You blessed us for sure, and I'm sure thousands of others. Thank you, Trish. I hope so. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Eight, here's your chance, right? You don't know who you might bless. I mean, if you weren't blessed, oh my goodness, what stories. And I know almost everybody that's listening has got something where the Spirit came in and they were able to preach the word in a place that they just didn't. Eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four eight six six three four eight 7884.

And, you know, I can't help but think as I'm I'm listening to Trish Doc that You know, I've sat as you recorded many of those episodes. And because you may not know, I'm his producer when he actually does his 60-second ones at Run on the Truth Network. And and uh It You put so much work into those, but it's the Holy Spirit that makes us happy. And like Just following up, um Try not to be bragging on myself, but today, this very day, I've had three different. text message emails of I don't know how you did this, but the days.

Devotional was so right for me. It's like you were sitting beside me last night, hearing what I'm dealing with, so that when I opened up that verse and start reading it, it was exactly what I needed. And I go, all I can do is, that's a guy thing. That is only God. I'm just a vessel.

And that's what everybody else is. Trish that day with this lady, she was just a vessel. She was available, and this lady says, What would you do?

Well, okay. I would just speak. Lord, speak through me. And then she prepared, right? For that moment.

Yep. And again, God uses the available vessel. He doesn't use a perfect vessel. None of us would be getting used. And if you've heard the beginning of the conversation, and if you did, you may want to go back and get the podcast and listen.

But she started out with, and I'm sure you remember her saying this, is I really can't remember scripture. And then having listened to her for a few minutes, I was like, what? You know, she quoted it quite eloquently in every opportunity that I could hear. And again, when it comes to that, The Holy Spirit knows every word. That's in there, that's in your heart, right?

He's going to put his words in your heart. And when you need him, They're gonna be there. And the reason we keep reading Scripture If I can, the reason we keep dating the word is because repetition leads to retention. And uh I think while Trying to memorize scripture myself, the struggles that come with it, it's challenging. John MacArthur gave that suggestion of reading like a book like Philippians or 1 John, James, where it's four or five chapters.

Read it every day for 30 days. And Instead of trying to memorize word for word, You're reading this and all of a sudden it's like I I remember what was in Philippians chapter 3. I remember what's in 1 John chapter 5 because that repetition led to retention. Again, it doesn't come back void.

So the beauty of it is, if you open it up and you begin to read it, God installs it. Believe me, He does. He's planting it. He's literally going to water it and it is going to grow. We got, I know you're not shocked, Truth Talk Mike is on with us in Dayton, Ohio.

Mike, I'm so glad you joined the party. Yeah. Well, thank you. Um I have a hard time remembering scripture too and Um And anyways uh this my story is when I went to Lowe's. It's a Lowe's day.

Yes. And um I was at Lowe's and there was a ninety five year old man walking across the parking lot and he was kind of struggling a little bit. And my heart something in my heart, you know, God told me to go over and say hi to him and see if he needed any help.

Well, I did. I know we're going up to a break and Um Anyways, I went over to him and I said, Hey, do you need help? He says, No, I need the exercise. I says, Oh, okay. And then I noticed.

Well, stop right there, Mike. We've got to leave him on the cliffhanger. Yeah. Okay. How about you?

You got something where you preach the word. We would love to hear from you. 866-348-7884. We're going to hear what happened to the 95-year-old man when we come back. But meanwhile, we would love to hear your story.

Oh, would we? 866-348-7884. We'll be right back. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today's show.

Is based on Acts 4, as you might imagine. Dr. Keith, the word, Acts 8:4. Therefore, they scattered abroad and went everywhere preaching the word. Where do you get a chance to do that?

866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. And when we left our hero TTL Mike, Mike, Truth Talk Live Mike. He he had reached a new lows. No, I'm just kidding. He was with a 95-year-old man crossing the parking lot.

He was struggling and paid from there, Mike. Yeah, he had a walker and I have my father-in-law with me and he has a walker and I bought him one with the wheels.

So I went over. My intention was to tell him about the one with the wheels, you know. Right. And And so I went over there to talk to him about, you know, to say hi. And I said, do you need me to get a card or anything?

He says, no, I need the exercise. And then I did talk to him about the push cart with the wheels, you know, and I says, you know, you can buy those at. At Target, you know, and he goes, You know what? I'm gonna do I'm gonna go over there right after this. I'm done shopping here, and I'm gonna go to Target and get one of those.

And it was a two-hour conversation, so I don't have two hours to tell you the story, but, anyways. And I looked at his neck as we were talking and I said, hey. I notice you got a rosary around your neck. He says, Yeah, about six months ago. you know, I converted to Catholicism and I says, Oh, you did?

I said, Well, sir, you do you know how to get to heaven? He says, well. You have to be good. I said.

Well, I know you don't. That's not how you get to heaven, sir. And he goes, Well, and he looked at me with a Kind of disgust look on his face, but I says, and I gave him the Romans road, you know, Romans. Three What is it? Three twenty-three, yeah, and then Then, and I said, All of us in that come short of the glory of God.

And he says, I've heard that. And then I went through the Romans road with him. And every time I said a verse and God gave me the verses, you know, I wrote them down once and I wrote them down more than once, but I still can't remember them like right now. I'm a little nervous too. But anyways, every time I said a verse to him, he says, I've heard that.

Yeah, I've heard that. And then at the end of the Romans rose with him I says Well, Jim, his name was Jim. I said, Jim, would you like to go to heaven? He says, I sure would. I understand what you just said there, and I really would.

I said, Well, I held his hand and I prayed like a prayer, like a church, you know, pray after me. And uh And after we were done praying, I looked at him and I said, Well, Jim, what do you think? And he points at me with his big old finger in my face and says, I'll see you in heaven. Come on. And I said, Oh, my word And he repeated after me and I I I just I just d I just died in tears right there in front of the parking lot in at Lowe's parking lot.

And I was and I gave him a big hug. He gave me a big hug, and I got his number. And I recommended him to go at church to I where right next to my cabinet shop, because that's where the Lowe's was. There's a church pastor, and I gave him a church name to go to. I told the pastor he's coming.

You know what I mean? And so, Mike, I gotta ask you. I mean, this is such a one again. I'm so blessed by what God does through just willing people that will walk up to this gentleman. But y You you said that you gave him these Bible verses.

Did you have a Bible with you? Were you just doing them from memory because God gave them to you at the moment? Mostly God gave them to me at the moment, but um I used to have them in my shirt pocket, you know, and I gave it away to somebody else once.

So I didn't have them in my shirt pocket at the time.

So I'm like, oh no, I'm a little out of the water here, you know? And And so, yeah, I said them all perfectly at that time. I know I did.

Well, yeah, that's the part that I just don't want anybody to miss. Yeah. That he didn't. In other words, At the moment of truth, which literally is a moment of truth in this particular situation, where you step into it. Right?

God will totally give you what you need. Um And the beauty of it is, from my perspective, is right now you can't really think of it. Because honestly, when you said Rome you know, and again, Doc knows his stuff like there's no tomorrow, his it rolled right off his tongue. But I'm like, I don't know. But I do know that if I stepped into that moment and I needed something, That God would give me scripture, he would give me whatever I needed.

Um It because that that's just the beauty of it. And and and I just love. Because Mike, you do these kind of things all the time. As God gives you, He gave you a boldness of personality we all don't have. And he gave Doc that kind of person.

And you don't know because you haven't hung around Doc as much as me, but if you go to a church supper with Doc. You know, he will probably meet everybody there and give them all a date-the word calendar and a date-the word card. Like, it would be that's just his personality, which is absolutely great, and it's Stu's personality too. If if you invite Stu to a church, you could you can almost count on the fact that he will make the he will go around the room and do all that. But I know you're not shocked because you know me pretty well.

I I I I'm I'm not that guy.

So you're not. That's okay. I admire you are friendlier than you think you are. But I just marvel, I marvel at the gifts God gave people, right? Like he gave Mike those gifts.

And he gave Trish the gift. Amen. And go and talk to him. Trish, be available. Right?

Well, it was all a gift. It was like He's prepared these works in advance for us to do. Right? Well, and I'm going to jump on that, Robbie. Again, I tell people one of the reasons you're reading God's Word daily.

is not just for yourself. I don't read just for me. I read for others who, first off, I know I've got to read for others for my family. Um who those I'm discipling. But then I'm reading because at some moment During the day, the There just might be somebody who's going to ask a question.

And all of a sudden, I go, Well, that's why I was reading that today. You know, I just was looking at that verse today, this Bible verse today, and you're able to help somebody. But that's why, again, to our listeners, please, please, please, every day, dive into God's Word. Let it get into you and it'll change you, but also, God will then be able. to use what he's poured into you to pour into somebody else.

In those unexpected moments. And there's Mike right there, ready to share the gospel with this gentleman, going through the Romans road by memory. And then to praise. And I'll see you in heaven. Oh, Mike, what a...

I'm rejoicing with people in heaven right now that are rejoicing. What a story. And also, all the listeners that are getting to hear, because Mike had the courage to call. That's right. And, and.

Or just followed the spirit's leading. You could hear he's nervous. I mean, that's the beauty of it, right? I love that you stepped into it, Mike. Yeah.

You know, David Jeremiah the other day, and I want to say that to someone, you know, he's, I'll say it in Mike Dabble's terms. I love what he said on the radio the other day. He said, Life is a bunch of decisions all the time. We have to make decisions. And then when we make those decisions, we either make habits or bad good habits or bad habits.

And when we make these habits, then we make a life, you know. Oh, I loved what he said there. And, you know, I just really do. I thought that was really a good way to think about life. Perfectly.

You may know I do this. podcast called Robbie and the Rabbi. And I was interviewing my rabbi friend. Who's Orthodox Jew actually? It's a wonderful podcast.

He was talking about Adam and Eve in the garden. And he talked about that there were two possible outcomes. from what happened That that They had choices to make, right? And he said, One choice we all have every single minute: are we. Am I?

going to maximize The way that God is glorified. Or, that's one possibility. Or What can be done to maximize? The glory of God. Here are the two what's the difference?

There's no I in the second. Right? If you're thinking about what can be done. It's different than what can I do. Because I do is not the way like like the man said.

You know, what can I do to get to heaven? There's no I do in it. There's no I do in it. There isn't a because Jesus said, it is finished. Right.

I've done it. And so, if you're looking to do something for yourself, that's how you fall into. These Poor decisions that I make all the time. Don't get me wrong. Believe me, I make them constantly.

But the beauty of what he shared for me is to go: okay, let's leave Robbie out of the equation to hear what can be done to maximize the glory of God in this situation. And You know, a lot of times that means stepping out and making a phone call I didn't necessarily want to make, or stepping into other situations that aren't necessarily good for Robbie Dilmore. that they're good to glorify God. Hmm. Amen.

Amen. That's the whole goal, isn't it? Yep. 1 Corinthians 10.31, whatsoever we do. It's to glorify him.

So What can be done? and preaching the gospel everywhere. being sensitive to those divine Appointments, not interruptions, appointments. And Acts 8, 4, you're... Everywhere we go, We're taking the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with us.
