This is the Truth Network. Yeah. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk. The truth is, I can't hide it.

I can put it in the box. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind.

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. It is All-Star Day. How fun is that? And so you can't help but think, or me and Doc were thinking, who is your. Bible All Star Man, woman, child, as the case may be, right?

Because I was thinking this morning that I've got a different list for women all-stars and men all-stars, but it's definitely an opportunity for you to call in and tell us today who is on your list and what qualifies them for your all-star Bible list. 866-766666666666 Three, four, eight. Seven eight eight four eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four Yeah, I like the way you just set that up, Robbie. It's it's not that um Everybody Is it All Star? Uh you have to have different um positions.

So there's different people who can be at All-Star for different reasons.

So they didn't get like nine All-stars who all play first base. Who's your all-star for first base? Who's your all-star for second base?

Well, who's your all-star base? If you needed someone to pray for you, Or or if you're thinking about a biblical character, Who would you want that person to be to pray for you? That's a good idea. 866-348-368. 7884.

And to make his point, you know, as we're coming into the studio, he's Doc says to me, which by the way, if you're not familiar, it's Doctor, date the word Carson, and today is 714, so 2 Chronicles 714. But what he says to me is, Sir Robbie, let's just say. You were beaten up and left for dead. Who would your guy be if you were beaten up and left? Who's your guy?

You know, if you. Uh, you know, needed a wall built at the time that you were, you know, people were trying to invade your country. Who would you who's your go-to guy in that situation? 866-348-7884, you know, and then these women, right? Like, let's just say that you had a really obnoxious guy that had, you know, these.

Big temples. He was a nail with a nail. You know, you ne you know, you needed a good woman. That to help you out in that situation. You know, who was on your team?

You know? You know, it's a neat thing. Like you say, different people have different gifts. And I really love the one, like. Who would you want to pray for you, right?

And how cool was it, right? If you think about it, that Hezekiah had Isaiah.

Well, let me show you my prayer team. You know, it's Isaiah. Who would be on yours? 866, and maybe they are. 866348788486634 truth.

And uh you know there's just so many. Right, that you know, you oh man, there's a famine coming. Who's your guy? Better get Joseph, someone's gonna have to help us through this thing. And so you're an aw you're a baseball fan.

I know that. And so tonight's game is a big deal to you. Yeah. Um I I like watching the best of the best compete. And so they did they actually get any, but they don't get anything for it.

No, I mean did they get any of your Dodgers?

Well, the whole team should have been Dodgers. They did, but Shohei Otani. Has uh his knee is bothering him. And um He's called in sick. And so he won't be there.

And Aaron Judge, he's got a little problem. Um.

So he's not going to be there.

So, two of the biggest stars for both teams. Will not be playing tonight.

So I was kind of like, boy, am I glad I didn't buy a ticket. The worst of game? Philadelphia. And it's celebrating the 250, and so that was pretty cool that they're doing it there. All the jerseys have um have 250 on it, and um.

So it's going to be a big celebration there tonight of the Declaration of Independence. And so, you know, what a neat, what a neat topic. And I I I interestingly, this morning I was researching Bible characters before I knew what what Doc's talk topic was going to be. And uh I was looking at different things that w you know, people that fought battles, specifically women that fought battles. And We talked about jail with a nail, right?

Yeah. And Deborah? But one you may not have heard about, because in the Apocrypha, and again, you don't know Complete accuracy of the story, it's not inspired with you know the word like the regular 66 books, but there is a book called Judith: the Book of Judith. And if you ever heard that story, oh my goodness. That woman, um Was she used her mind?

She used her prayer life. Like, I. I'd love If you're not familiar with the story, you might want to go look at it. It's amazing. Is she Like Daniel, had a you know, had a process where she prayed every single day.

And because she everybody expected her to go be praying, that It gave her the grace to get Places where other people wouldn't get. I mean, it's an amazing story of how all Israel. was under siege and You know, this one woman. One widow woman. Right?

And it's kind of cool that in that particular day and time, widows were marginalized even worse than they are today. Yeah. The the You know, well, you gotta be kidding me. This widow woman is going to change the course of history.

Well, this particular story certainly was the case. And so the neat thing is. for such a time as this, whoever the hero may be, right? That You know, God raises up people. And he will find somebody.

That that to do something as Gideon. Um That just k kind of blows your mind.

So as we think on this show, love to hear your thoughts, callers. Who's that person? for such a season in your life that you would say that's my all-star. I've got to have them right now. And uh I you know, we got the Hall of Fame.

with Hebrews 11. And God lays out these are things people have done. But you know, David, if if if David was here right now and s David, all right, in your life, could you tell us some of your As you look back on it, some of your all-stars, he's gotta say Abigail. Because Abigail stepped into his life at a moment when he was getting ready to make a stupid decision that would have turned out to be a sinful decision. There could have been a disqualifying decision.

It would have been the abuse of power. And Abigail steps in, and David said, Oh, Abigail, thank you, thank you, thank you. You kept me from doing this story. Yeah. 866-348-7884.

That's the number to call in and share your. Right? All-star list 866-348. Seven eight eight four. And we can start putting together a team here.

We need your call. Absolutely a courageous move when you think about what Abigail did because David is on the way to take them out. Yes. Her husband, who is a fool, and now David's starting to act like a fool. The ball.

He didn't have too much on the ball. The ball didn't. 864.

Well, you know, we're talking all-stars.

So, you know, this guy would have struck out. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. Who would be on your Bible All-Star team and maybe encouraged you in a time when you needed? Um that particular uh Mm.

But you know, j James, when I think about it, like prayer life. The prayer life, yeah. Um And you talked about a new thing I didn't know that obviously Lincoln had somebody on his All-Star Team for Prayer. Abraham? I came to come to understand that Abraham Lincoln really liked a guy by the name of Epaphras.

Uh there's Paul. How he prayed, but Paul will commend in the book of Colossians this guy named Epaphras because it says he labored fervently. The idea of wrestling, and Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler before he became president.

So there he was wrestling. On the night. Of the Battle of Gettysburg, during the Battle of Gettysburg. There he was, praying like The fappers, I can't see it right. Maybe you can.

866-348-7884. Give us a call. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. It is All-Star Day and so today your question is, who would be on your Bible All-Star team, 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884.

We got Chris is in Norfolk, Virginia.

So, good morning or good afternoon. Yeah, I'll get my time straight, Chris. Thank you for calling. What do you got for us? I gotta say, I am a major proponent of the Apostle Paul.

Yes. If he is an all-star, I don't really think we have a team. Exactly. And when the Lord told Ananias how he must suffer for his name's sake, man, you gotta imagine, sometimes Paul might have been saying, you know. I'm going back to the University of Tarsus.

I quit. This is not working. But he hung in it. He was the biggest stickler for the Lord. And then we go to Second Corinthians chapter 11, where he tells just a part of how bad he suffered.

And I don't even think he's giving us the whole story. You just gotta for me, it's all.

Okay. Yeah, and how helpful are some of his verses on suffering, right? Because you know, if there was somebody that ex understood that at a level that's unbelievable, right? Um Exactly. And then the only way today, today, in today's world, in today's economy, the only way to salvation.

is by Paul's Gospel. Yeah. Yeah, he laid out the plan of salvation. The just shall live by faith, which was taught in the Old Testament, but not understood. And all of a sudden, you got the book of Romans.

And Galatians, it's unreal. He just lays it out there. And 1 Corinthians 15, verses 1 through 4, the plan of salvation. Yes. I stick with Paul.

We're with you, Chris. He's on the Rossport. There's no doubt whatsoever. All right, my friend. Thank you for calling.

We really appreciate it. God bless you. All right, who's on your list? 866-348-7884-866-348. 7884.

I gotta be honest, Doc, for me. You know, fishing is an issue.

Well well uh I think it's in it's in uh John twenty one Is it verse 3? Where Peter said, I am going fishing. And so, Um maybe you need to start practicing what the Bible says. To fish, you gotta first go fishing. And, you know, let's face it, Peter got a fish with money in his mouth.

I mean, he had it then. Yeah. But also, the real reason that Peter would be on my list. Is he like a guy who can fail really, really, really badly, and it doesn't. Make him a loser.

Yeah. You know, and oh, I failed really, really, really, really badly, really badly in my life. And The encouragement of seeing how he could fall so far from being, I mean, he was the guy. Right? He's on this rock, I'm going to build my church.

You know, on that statement of faith, I should say. But. Nonetheless, I mean, he was the guy. And then, oh my goodness. Does he come down?

What was it? He had a foot and mouth disease. And then the restoration passage Thank you. You know, Peter, do you love me? And what a what?

Well, I need to ask you that again. Peter, do you love me?

Well, Peter, let me ask you one more time. Do you love me? Lord. Come on now.

Well, you denied me three times. I want to find out three times.

Well, see, and this is all the more reason you need to go watch The Sheep Detective on Project. Because feed my sheep. You're going to see a lot of that in that movie. But we got a chance to see Doc and I did Young George Washington last Friday. What a movie was that.

Yes. Uh things I did not know about young George George Washington. I knew some things about his older life, but uh Uh I will tell you, listeners, go see young George Washington. I did not realize. I was inspired.

how badly he failed. At a very young age, which crushed most young men. I can't even imagine it didn't crush him. 866-348-7884. Who would be on your list?

And why, you know, what what about them inspires you or what about them? You know, or things to think about. I love what it says in the first psalm. I know you do that. You know, these are things we meditate on days and day and night.

And you find yourself in a situation. Um and you go man. This sounds familiar. Yeah. You know, I l I look at different dates.

and events and you definitely do. And and so, you know, when knowing when the All-Star game's coming up, I always do. I I I like to dive into my Bible and just think about these different people and the difference they made, the way they made it, and then Could I be like that? And um they were one of God's All-Stars and um But they had to take a step of faith. They had to trust God.

And then there are people who they do, they come alongside you. If you needed encouragement. You gotta have a Barnabas.

Well, I know a guy. I bet you do. You're the Christian car guy. You know what I mean? A Noah guy.

You Noah guy. Yeah. Yeah. I always You know, you think about it and you know Uh Noah was named Noah because he would comfort his people. Yes.

That and that word comfort is just in Hebrew is that idea of The sounds that you're hearing of the N sound and the H.

Well, if you take those letters and you turn them backwards, it spells grace. Noah was the first person to find grace. in God's eyes. And I've often thought about that. How did Noah find grace in God's eyes?

He looked for it. Mm-hmm. In other words, you're not going to find something you're not looking for. That's right. That's right.

And You know, it's pretty cool to see his face. It's more than cool to seek his face. It's unbelievable to seek his face, but how amazing is it to seek his face? And then. Look.

for his favor. Because I I knew he was I was his favorite. I just knew it, Doc. You've told me. And I can see it in his eyes, right?

And so, you know, uh, that part of Noah Um Noah's encouraged me many times to go and I'm feeling like I just blew it fourteen times over. I I need Um I need that look like That I need that grace. I need to find it in the Lord's eyes and You can find it if you go look, and I assure you, because it says in John, right, that he is full of that and truth, full of grace. full of grace, he's full of mercy. And um Um The different people who then come into our lives to help us with their journey.

They're doing Christ-like actions. And that's what I that's that's the real all-stars. They're doing Christ-like actions. 866-348. Seven, eight, eight, four, eight, six, six, three four, eight.

7884 Yeah, you you've got A bunch of names. To choose from. Yeah, if you've got a a need for someone to preach a uh very evangelistic message. It's a crowd that's really against you. Who do you want preaching for you?

You got to have the Apostle Peter. He's going to speak with boldness. You crucified him.

Well, I was, you know, who I immediately thought when you said that? Stephen.

Well they'll Stephen didn't back down.

Well, when you think about what happened there. That may be Even a more impactful speech. When we see Yeah. Because that speech impacted Peter. I mean, excuse me, that speech impacted Paul.

And then, what happened as a result of what Stephen prayed that day? As he said, forgive them, for they know not what they do. How about you? Who's your all-star? We're anxious to hear your call.

866-366666666666. 348-7884. Really make my day to hear who you're thinking about. 866-348-7884. We'll be right back.

Truth talk like You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to True Talk Live today's question. Who is on your Bible All-Star T roster? Who would you pick? Um that that you would want to have on your side if And what would you go do with them?

866-348-7884-866-348. 7884. We have Will is in Dayton, Ohio. How exciting, Will. I'm excited to hear your choice.

Yeah, okay.

So thanks for having me on.

So, who I chose is found in Matthew 8. It's also in Luke 7, but Matthew 8, chapter... Or, excuse me, Matthew chapter 8. It starts in verse 5, but it's the story of the centurion. And I'm going to read Matthew 8, verse 10.

Please. And I'm going to read it out of the ESV. It says, When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who followed him, Truly I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such Faith.

Now, this man came to the Lord and said, I have authority. I have. Establishment, but to you, I have none, and only you have that authority. And because of that, not just humility, But that face this man who has not a name But Jesus himself said he had such great faith.

So with a man of such faith, which we know the author of faith requires faith, wouldn't I want him on my roster team to do whatever it is the Lord so calls me to do? That one is so good, Will. That is so good. Yeah, that is a great pick. Wow.

Doc, the humility that you brought out, which is so true. I'm not worthy for you to come to my house. But the faith, I know you can do this. You just speak the word. You're right.

When you make Jesus marvel, You know you've done something. That's right. Amen. Thank you, brothers. I appreciate this broadcast.

I listen often, and your diligence by storytelling and understanding and closeness to the Lord, I value that, and I appreciate that. Thank you. Wow, well, God bless you. Thank you. What an amazing idea.

How cool, right? Wouldn't you want somebody with that amazing faith on your roster to keep people encouraged, to keep me encouraged? But, you know, the other thing about that is. you know This was a Roman. That's right.

And he's heard about, and now he comes to Jesus. You know, which means he's Italian and it means he's a Gentile and it means a lot of things. And Jesus was willing to go with him, but that humility. No, no, no, no. I'm not worthy.

The man who. Everybody would want to go to his house.

Now I'm not worthy to have you in my house. Wow What a great All star The nobleman To make Jesus marvel at your faith. Yeah. That would be absolutely spectacular. You know, there was another time when Jesus was amazed at his disciples.

Lack of faith. Oof. That's the time I I I I'm a little shocked at you guys Yeah. When when the storm calmed, they were at a whole new level. Um of astonishment of Jesus.

But I I I like this man here. I want to be able to mar cause God to marvel. I mean, your faith is so strong right now. You're asking me for some things that Yeah.

So, what do you think? We would love, love to hear who you're thinking. 866-348-7884. I mean, these they're like Bible scouts. It's really cool.

Like, Will had really given that some amazing thought. And, you know, what a neat person to have on your team. Whatever you're up against. 866-348. So we got Paul and we got the centurion, man.

We got quite the lineup so far from the listeners, but we need yours. And you've got to call us. We'd love to hear it. And even if we've already said one of yours from our standpoint, we want to hear what you're thinking on this. You know, because again, Abigail, she's got to be on the team.

She brings that discernment, that wisdom, keeps you from doing stupid. You know, we're always one step from stupid. And when you got someone who'll say, I don't think you ought to do that. That that's a that's a big time helper right there. Um And and I was thinking about Uh Yeah.

Helvegy Paul the investment he made in so many others. the mentoring part of it. He poured into Timothy, poured into Titus. Uh there are others that he would s personally disciple. Earlier this, as we went into July, we were down at Williamsburg, Robbie, and George With us, one of my favorite.

I can't assure you. He was texting me to be pictures. And I'm so grateful, too, because a lot of people don't know who George With is, but he's the one who mentored. the ones who then made the difference. Thomas Jefferson sat at his table and learned law from George Wythe.

But people don't know George Wythe that much. But here's Paul. He's out there and he's getting the next generation ready. He's mentoring.

So again, I'm so glad for that caller that said, put Paul at the top of the list. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. And the centurion, so you know, there's there's lots to choose from: eight, six, six, three, four, eight. Seven eight eight four, of course.

you know, I I love the great women and and certainly Hannah You know. Obviously ability to pray again from the heart. Yeah. You know, You know, if you study that passage, you're going to find the very word for prayer changes after Hannah's prayer. that that the word is that is used prior to that prayer of Hannah's is is a couple letters different.

than the word that happens afterwards, it has to do with the f with the the ability to pray without speaking out loud. Right? from the heart. Right. And so her prayer Well Literally And of course it was really cool to me.

I always always thought it was cool that Samuel, her son, I was the one who was writing a book, right?

So he's, this is my mom, man. And he, he, he. You know, he emphasizes that he knew that prayer.

Okay. Was the reason that he was given not just life itself, but the favor with God that he had and the. And and You know, it's just a neat thing to me, but she would definitely, because another person that was down and out. you know beat up. Yeah.

And uh thought she was forgotten. Right. She just kept pleading with God. And uh realized He could do for her what noth no one else could. And uh w you and I got to be there at Shiloh.

and see that in Israel. And I hope many people will one day get to Israel again, and as these trips start happening again, get to see Shiloh, where Hannah prayed. Samson Samuel grew up Yeah, if you do go I And again, it's pronounced Shiloh and Shiloh. Shiloh, Shiloh, you know, but nonetheless, the red heifers are there. You know, not just Obviously, I know you love your heifers.

But the obvious place where the ark of the. You know. Tabernacle was originally par parked there for for you know centuries. A lot of great history there. Unbelievable what you can see there in Shiloh.

And then again, what the history that's being made now With these red heifers, which white You know, begin the temple sacrifices again, which, based on what we understand is happening in Israel, the sacrifices may take place before they start to build a temple because they've got to get a clean priest. And in order to do that, you've got to have a red. Heifer. You gotta have it. And it's pretty cool that that that.

To me, it's amazing what God's doing in Israel right now. You're going to see the Bible coming to life as it just flourishes there and the desert is becoming green as God replenishes that land.

Well, you said Hannah, I have to tell you I want Samuel on my team. Because As Samuel grows up, He's listening to the Lord. And um Again, my ministry date the word. I give up birthday verses. And so the other day someone said, Well, sir, when is your birthday?

and I said twelve twenty three. And they said, Well, what's your verse for it? I said, Well, interestingly, it's 1 Samuel 12, 23, where Samuel himself says, God forbid that I should sin against him by ceasing to Pray. and then to teach you the good in the right way. And so one of the great ministries of Saul of Samuel, you know, he's going to anoint a king, all these things that he does in preaching, but he was a tremendous prayer warrior.

Wonder where he learned how to pray. Yeah, really. Eight, six, six. Who's who are you thinking? Come on now, we'd love to hear from you.

866-348-7884-866-34877777777777. Seven eight eight four. Um You know, there there are some other ones that are you know, early guys Like Abel. Like His his voice still speaks from the ground. That's how much of a voice Abel has.

Yeah. And the the way that you come to God. is by sacrifice. And um You you can't work for it. Kane thought he could work for it.

The ways of Cain is the ways of work and the world, and it's not accepted in the sight of God. Abel, being dead, still preaches to us. According to the book of Hebrews, right? He's right there on your list. Yes.

Hall of Fame, Hall of Faith. And one of Eve's boys. Yep. You know, one of the most amazing Things that you see, like, man, and you just think about these are real people. And You know, Eve is Had a tough life.

I mean, she just did. One day she's got it made and the next day, you know, she's she's out and obviously has to feel a lot responsible for that. She finally has a son. She's so excited because she knows, wow, according to God, this could be it. This could be my deliverance from the Satan.

And then oh my goodness. To lose One to being killed by the other it just has to be unthinkable what she experienced in that.

Well Um I I was trying to think of a a There was another person I wanted to bring out, Robbie. You know, the the the Psunamite woman. When Elisha was traveling, needed a place, needed hospitality. That psychomite woman Ah, what an all star she was Um We're going to take care of this guy. And I've had some, as you have, people who have stepped in and helped out.

When I was in Dallas, a wonderful family and always just like I had shit. I wanted to come in, let me tell you. Just opening up their home and making you feel so welcomed at home. Absolutely. All right, we got Mike is in Dayton, Ohio.

We need you. 866-348-7884-866-348. Seven, eight, eight, four, and he's picked a winner. I'm telling you, he's picked a winner. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today is All-Star Day and so we're talking about who was your Bible All-Star. Who would be on your team? Why would you pick him? Um We've had some amazing calls.

I'm excited to hear yours. You got to call us, though, 866-348-7884. Of course, we got Mike. True talk Mike. And his pick is Solomon.

So Mike, I'm excited to know. Why The wise guy. I'm just kidding. That was probably that might have been a little blow. I shouldn't say that.

Solomon was definitely. Because he was wise enough to know that he didn't know. Right. Now, why is we got to get to Mike Solomon? Mike, what do you think?

Talk to us. Why would you pick Solomon? Such a great guy. Uh He was, you know, the father of David and You know, the son of David.

Son of David, sorry, yes. And um I I don't know. Uh Danny gone it. It's just because of Proverbs, you know. It's just because I read Proverbs a lot.

Are you one of those folks that a lot of them You know, I'll read a proverb. For the day of the week, There you go. Yeah. He did that whisper that um It it's just You know what else he did for me? And the reason why when I saw his name come up.

One of the books that really, really influenced my faith was The Song of Solomon. Yeah. In a huge way. I saw God as a lover that I had not. really understood.

The depth of which he comes after his beloved in that book. It's a phenomenal love story. And you can see the passion. And you can see the oh. Uh you know the Okay.

Listen to all the different ways he compliments her. I I I Oh, it's loaded with compliments. Hit the tape. It seems like it was over 60 different through that. But yeah, Solomon is um Is an all-star.

There's no doubt about that, Mike.

Well, it just he just touches your heart every every verse, every Everything that he says, you know. Like you said, Psalms and Proverbs and I I don't I'm I'm sorry, I'm not that great at remembering what he's done and what he doesn't do. I just read it. You know what I mean? One of the things that, you know, the Doc and I were talking about during the break Due to his wisdom, he had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

And so. You know, when he wrote the book of Proverbs, he used some of them as sermon illustrations.

So, how would you like to be the poor wife that was named after the contentious woman that was a continual dripping? You know, any preacher's kid knows what it's like to be the sermon illustration, poor Solomon, you know, whoever that woman was. He understood all too well. He married that one woman, and she was just a hateful woman. And and and on on the break, you know, um I listened to, it was talking about the ants.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Robert Jefferson. And.

Yeah, thank you. And my dad did that with me. He took me out in the backyard to an anthill and made me wash some ants. And then read me that scripture, and I'll never forget that. You know what I mean?

And uh, and uh, It was, we would lay, and then I got all dirty, and we both of us got all dirty. We're rolling around in the dirt looking at these ants and how they're building this. You know, going in and out of the tunnel. I take it they weren't fire ants. Yeah.

Yeah, I'm glad they were. Oh, my word. You know, that could be a painful experience to look to those particular right. I'd never forget that one, you know. But no, that's.

It it's phenomenal, isn't it? That that's there. But it was given, you know, the source was God, and Solomon got it because he asked for it. Mike, I'm going to put you on the spot and let you know that. But just curious, when you think about all the different pieces of wisdom that Solomon conveyed, What's your favorite?

Let's just call it a nugget of wisdom. From Solomon. What's been your favorite? Um Yeah. You you sort of put me on my spot.

I'm thinking he was gonna go there. Go ahead. Go ahead. No, I was hoping you would. That's what I want.

I was hoping till so our listeners could hear the fresh. That's my go-to. I mean, you know, I I hate leaning on my own understanding, you know what I mean? It's like it's like you know, it's I make so many wrong decisions when I do that, you know what I mean? And uh And when I start leaning on God, I make so many right decisions all the time.

And Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. When you start leaning on your own understandings, it's just like.

Yeah, I got this. I know what I'm doing. And things just don't turn out like they should. But sometimes when you trust God and you trust on his understandings, and sometimes you just don't understand why we're doing it this way and why it's ha why you're going that direction, But then all of a sudden the lights come on and God says, Look, see, I am pretty smart, ain't I? You know?

Yeah, I I can't tell you the times that I've just realized the same idea that there's almost always a third solution. That I've got an issue, and it seems like I can either choose this or choose that. But quite often, by not leaning on my own understanding and going to the Lord in prayer and say, God, you know, help me with this, it just doesn't seem like either of these is and I cannot tell you. Um I remember a time in my life where I had um two people that I dearly, dearly in fact, two people I love the most in the world told me it's me or her and and the other one saying it's her or me, right? And I was like, oh my gosh, I I've got to make this choice and they were just putting me on the spot horribly.

Um And I prayed and I prayed, and God said. Hey, you know, Robbie, this isn't your choice. You love both with all your heart. Like, how in the world are you going to make that choice? He said the one who chooses can choose, but you don't choose a forum.

M? I'm going to tell you, it was like 20 million tons of bricks. Came off my shoulders. And guess what? Neither chose.

So praise God I didn't choose, right? Right. Yeah. Yeah. You know, um I'll give a quick story.

I don't know how much time we have, but. Uh on Father's Day I was kind of depressed. I was really depressed, honestly. Feeling like I wasn't a good father, feeling like I wasn't doing what I should do. And um God God came God God came through to me and I because I didn't lean on my own thinking.

I just said, God, I can't handle this. This Father's Day thing is just beating me up, and I need your help.

Well, a guy at the at the church gave me a Father's Day card and all that went away. All money. He just gave me a card out of the blue. I don't even I know him from the men's group, but he just gave me a card and a and a gift uh to go to a restaurant. And man, it made my day.

It just Changed me, and that was because he was led by God to help, you know, to give it to me. And then, and then that helped me, you know what I mean? It helped me get through it. And It's just something to see that I didn't lean on my own understanding then. You know what I mean?

I went to God and said, God, help me, you know? And he did. And that was that was the example I'm telling you.

So Europe.

So, Doc, we just have... A couple of minutes left. We need to know other All-Stars that that we've got to have on a team. We've got to have John, don't we? We've got to have John.

We gotta have John. Yeah. Well, I mean Jesus When he needed an all-star to take care of his mom, he called on John. And there's just something to be said about. Uh dependability.

Joseph Uh when God needed someone to be Mary's husband Oh, yeah. With unique circumstances. Different Joseph, yes. And, you know, I love the story of Joseph, how he. Every time God told him to do something, he just obeyed.

He never questions. He just did. And, um,. And so at the beginning, he's got this. guide that's dependable and then on the cross Here's Jesus when he looks out there and says, Behold your mother.

I mean, when you do think about those kind of situations, who's going to take care of mom if I'm not going to be here? That's not uh something you just haphazardly to choose.

So yes, John's got to be on that list. Um And then Uh I'd like Mary of Bethany. Oh, because she's going to remind us how important it is to sit at the feet of Jesus. And. You know, getting into the word every day, not weekly, but daily.

Mary is what a what an example for us on groups. I had a member of my church. I've been trying to get him to church. You know, his wife came for years. And man, I I prayed so hard and God finally he started coming.

And then he started getting into the word. And I was sitting across the lunch from him on Sunday, and he was going over the Beatitudes. Robbie, have you ever seen this? And he showed me some of the most amazing insights. I'm like, man, God, look what you've done.

You gave him a hunger, you gave him a thirst. And. You know, you could see his life just revolutionized right in front of you, like, man. How cool. Go to church.

Read your Bible. It's simple stuff, right, Mike? Amen. Amen. The more you do it, the more you're going to do it.

Watch the All-Star Game tonight and think about who's your biblical all-star. Amen. Thank you for listening.
