Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome into the Winklerverse. I'm Bart Winkler. It is a Monday. It is time for the national perspective with Carlos Ortiz live on your noon hour on the Dan Shaney Insurance YouTube stream.

Carlos. You agreed to do this eight months ago. I didn't think You'd think you'd still be doing this with me, but thank you. Yeah, I thought I'd be working by now, but then you look at the industry and the state that it's in, and it's just cannibalizing itself, and everyone's out of jobs. And there are people who should not be out of jobs that are out of jobs.

So if they don't have a job, how the fuck do I have a job? I guess we continue this until I get a job, which means we might be doing this for another couple of years. I was told in the changeover that they were looking at me, but they had seven or eight people. In front of me.

Now it's going to be up to 12 or 13 as another bloody day in the radio business. Dikes. But that is I mean that is that is that is And every time somebody signs off, people tag me like, this is how it's done, dickhead. Yeah, I wonder if Mully would have, from the 680 to score, or whatever the hell it's called, I wonder if he would have been so tactful and given such a warm, oh, goodbye to everybody. Come on.

Tommy shouting in this afternoon says Carlos at the cape looking swole. Thank you. Thank you. If you're not familiar with the slang, I am hip.

So let me know. I'll translate what these cool Jive turkeys are talking about. They're saying I'm looking muscular. from the effort that I've been putting in the gymnasium. And how is that going?

I actually gained two pounds, but um, it is two pounds of muscle, so Maybe these fucking cannons right here, baby. We're clanging and banging like the rock. See the forearms right there? Like, ah! I think I need to go to the doctor.

Well, if you need to go to the doctor, you might be a Cleveland Browns fan. Because you're feeling really fucking sick right now. What a segue by me. That's so good. We'll get to Deshaun Watson.

I am going to bring up Enos Cantor.

Sorry. Enus rhymes with penis. It does, and Bart rhymes with fart. And smart. I do want to say, though, if this is the first Winklerverse content.

You are delving into today. Where the hell have you been? I want to thank Vinny Retino of Brewers TV, former Brewer himself. Spent one year with the Mets. Back in New York to call this series.

He joined me earlier this morning. And then I gave a. Um full full Throw it in review. of my time at the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game. In Appleton on Saturday night.

So be sure to check out that content. I think we're up to 41 views on YouTube. Let's triple it. I won't be watching. It's not my stuff.

But I encourage everybody else to watch. I had the freezing cold takes guy back on last week. And I'm like We might move one book. Maybe too. He's like.

Mm-hmm.

Okay. If I can move a book here, it's worth my time.

So he's got that out. I'm also going to be talking about Bucs basketball. There's a Bucks book out. Jordan Treskey is going to join us later this week.

So I got a big week planned, and we got a preseason finale. To talk about coming up later in the week, too. I do want to talk a little Bucks as well. We're really more Milwaukee and Giannis, believe it or not. Right now?

No, we'll get there.

Well, let me just say the reason I think I need to go to the doctor is I cannot stay awake. Like I, so we went to my. Mother-in-laws this weekend. And when you're at the mother-in-law's, you know. She'll help with the boy.

So I'm not rushing out of bed to make them breakfast. But I got up at like 9.45 on Saturday. And I felt pretty dirty about it. I got up at 11.15 yesterday. Loof.

And then Was it Saturday? Yeah, Saturday was like three o'clock. I couldn't. Function. I ended up taking a three-hour nap.

Me too. I took a three-hour nap as well. I just talked to Vinny a little bit ago, and then I laid down, and I started passing out. And like hallucinating.

Well, that's not good. No, I don't know if I've eaten some of these weird foods that are all FDA-stricken or what, but you might have licked a poisonous toad. I will soon be able to do it. Whenever I go to my mother-in-law's, or whenever she comes here, she always gets the big pack of just singular cheese slices. Oh, I thought you were going to say big pack of poisonous toads.

No, no. 'Cause your boy loves cheese. 'Cause you're from Wisconsin? Yeah. Saturday night I got into it a little bit.

And I had a few slices. And then I covered it all the way.

Okay. This was freshly bought. Sunday morning I wake up, the whole thing is full of mold. Ew. I don't know what's going on.

I don't know what's going on. So be careful with your cheeses. And the like. Deshaun Watson is the starting quarterback for the Browns, at least in week one. That's not going over well.

This is something that we had predicted last year, looking ahead. Deshaun is going to get the opportunity to start. He always was. It's just a matter of how long is he going to start and why are the Browns doing this? I think the Browns.

Still want to move him. There are no takers? Deshaun Watson for a little bit. For maybe a year and a half. When he was with Houston, he was like the second best quarterback in the league.

He was right behind Mahomes. Right behind. And that's all been forgotten. And now he's no better than Shadur. But they don't I don't know why they still have Shadur.

Yeah. Although Stefansky's gone, maybe, I don't know. No, dude. But Deshaun Watson starting week one. I don't know who they play.

Probably the Bengals or something. They're playing the Jacksonville Jaguars. I looked immediately because I wanted to stream whatever defense it was.

So I knew off the top of my head it was the Jaguars, and they are available in my.

So I'm just waiting for waivers to open up. This is an unmitigated disaster. I mean, I there's no plausible reason for this. Professionally, performance-based, off the field. There's nothing about this.

What timeline are we on? That Deshaun Watson is this was shown you anything that's worth of being QB1 in Cleveland, a franchise that has been desperate for stability in the quarterback position. And listen, Shador Sanders. There are flashes, sure. Do I think he's a great option?

No, but I think he's the best option there for what you have right now. Dude, forget about the fact that he's been getting jerked off the field. Forget about the fact that he's just an overall creep, you know, massage therapist, you know, rapist, whatever the hell you want to call him. He's an overall bad guy. Take all of that stuff.

out of the equation. The handful of games that he's played for Cleveland, he's been, it's not enough to say he's been terrible. He's one of the worst statistical quarterbacks in the league. Like out of 50 fucking quarterbacks, he might be 48th, 49th, or dead last in every single statistic category that you can think of. There's a reason Browns fans cheered.

When he ripped his Achilles the last time that he played for them, because he fucking sucked. He has been terrible and he's looked awful in this preseason. In this preseason, he's missing guys, open, throwing interceptions. He looks terrible. Shador has looked better than him in preseason.

Forget about last year, just in this camp and these practices, Shador has looked better. And they still went with Deshaun Watson. I don't know what the reasoning other than the fact that This is Jimmy Haslam telling the fans, fuck you, I know better, and I'm getting something. Out of my investment, which was the guarantee contract that he gave Deshaun Watson, because there's nothing about this. On or off the field.

Says Shador. I'm sorry, says Deshaun Watson is QB1. This doesn't make any sense. Larry says, who cares? Everybody apparently does.

Let's talk some real sports. Larry, thanks for the. Contributions. This is the national perspective portion of the Winklerverse.

So If you're looking for more Wisconsin-related content, again, I need to talk to Vinny Rattino. Earlier today, you could check that out. Oroi did a Packer post game the other night. You could check that out. The Packers won for the first time since December 5th, I believe.

Or December 7th. Um lazy sports radio. All right, now you're pissing me off. We can't have takes on Deshaun Watson. You're better than that.

No, I'm not. Trust me. What Wow, okay. All right.

Okay, Larry.

Well, I'm going to talk about the Browns and Deshaun Watson. Because I've got something to say. Deshaun Watson is innocent until proven guilty, all right? Just kidding. Here's what I would do if I thought you were going all sports and state here.

No, no. Here's what I would do if I was the Browns. I would cut Deshaun Watson. Right now. Dude, they should have caught him after that press conference that he had.

Absolutely. I would cut Deshaun Watson right now, get him out of here. Because what it's doing is it's showing Everyone, that we don't give a shit, and this is like sports is a business, but we are. really sticking it in your face. And while Deshaun Watson, the coach said Monkin, said, well, he gives us a better chance to win, that might be true.

But that chance is going from 10% to 25%. At best. You need to be thinking, you're waiting. You have Deshaun Watson and no viable Becca plan. You are wasting 2026.

And you're building a pretty decent roster, actually. They had a nice draft last year, other than the two quarterbacks that are no good, I guess. Yeah, they got running, they got second-year running backs and Quishon Junkins and Dylan Sampson. That looks pretty good. Harold Graham.

You got the two rookies that you drafted at wide receiver and Concepcion in Boston.

So that they're good. Yeah, Harold Fanning. Fanning, yeah.

So they've got they're building it they're building a good team. They I would give it to Shadur. I would give it to Shadur. And say Because Shadur Has talent. He also has a lot of flaws.

But there's enough talent there. That you have to take a look. And Shadur is not going to get better unless he plays.

Some of these quarterbacks need to sit.

Some of them need to play. Shadur needs to be out there making mistakes, learning, seeing different coverages. I would play Shadur. I would get Dylan Gabriel probably off my team. I agree.

And then this other guy they have, this four-stringer, Green, Taylor Green. I would look at him as a project. Yeah, but he was drafted never to be a viable option as a starter this year. Like Taylor Green, like. That was Anthony Richardson 2.0.

That's the guy that's blowing numbers off of the combine. This guy's freakish athletic, but can he play quarterback? He only had a handful of starts for Arkansas. Um so they that that's definitely a project I I can't imagine You would see him at all, unless, like, this was a Mr. Burns softball episode where everybody in front of him just got hurt.

Or he's like, all right, fuck it. We need somebody to play quarterback. But no, I'm with you, dude. I actually would have gone. Yeah, cutting Dylan Gabriel, probably not.

I actually would have had him as the backup. You have to see what you have in these people in these young guys. And this is a young team overall. If I'm a veteran in the Browns locker room, I'm asking for a trade right away. You're going to tell me on Deshaun Watson, like, get the fuck out of here, dude.

Unless Deshaun Watson behind the scenes is just this incredible locker room guy that has galvanized what it's already a very young team. He's not. This doesn't make sense. I don't know what the percentage is. That Shadur Sanders.

plays a year and then is like good. I do think that percentage is higher. Than Deshaun Watson refining his former glory. I think he's had opportunities to do that and he hasn't.

So it is time to move on, I think. Nah, it's been time to move on. I don't know if you caught, I mean, listen, am I sitting here parsing Brown's press conferences? No, but I just did happen to see some of the clips that went circulating on social. And He's talking about the reaction of fans booing him, and he's just like, oh, it's personal.

No, it's not personal. You're trash, dude. You're absolutely buns. You know, Brown, when Brown's fans boo you, you noted that's bad because they've had a bunch of no-names come in there. Uh and people that they thought there were going to be saviors come in there.

And I don't remember Baker Mayfield getting booed. Deshaun Kaiser didn't get fucking booed. But you did. Because you're trash on the field and you're trash off the field.

So. This is, if anybody was ever going to defend the Browns organization and say, hey, no, you know what? They're not the laughing stock of the NFL.

Now, today's the day you need a layout, man. The Browns just. Continue. to be the Browns. Uh any other Preseason overall thoughts you have.

I think The preseason's kind of been good. Yeah, it's been okay. The Dolphins, by the way, definitely going to be one of the worst teams in the NFL. They got drubbed by the Giants on Saturday.

So, if you have the Cardinals getting the number one overall pick, you might be safe, but I would definitely take a long, you know, look at a. at a futures bet with Miami being terrible. Yeah, I think they'll be bad. I think Malik Willis is going to show flashes, but ultimately not be that good. And I'm not a Jeff Hafley guy, so I didn't know what was the big allure with him here.

And, you know, it's the Packers South. You know, John Eric Sullivan's their GM.

So I didn't know much about him before he got the job, but. It just seems like they're just This is a year that they just don't give a shit. I mean, the other, I guess, preseason news that came out was Ashton Genzi scaring people. For like 12 hours yesterday. Yeah.

So, if you didn't hear about that one, if you're a fantasy football player getting ready for your draft this weekend, Ashton Jensi might go down lower on your board because. He left practice, needed to get helped off of the field, couldn't put any pressure on his leg. Initially, people thought he might have been an ACL. Like, he looked like he was fucking done. Uh, but now uh, it looks more to be like an ankle sprain, whether it's a high ankle sprain or not, who knows?

But um, he probably will not play week one. Maybe it's like a week two, week three thing for Ashen Genzi, but that was a scared for the Raiders. Uh if if you're into that kind of uh Into that kind of talk right there. But I think the preseason has been pretty good. I think it's going to get better.

Once we have 18 games in a regular season, because then you're only going to get two preseason games. And I think coaches are going to take that seriously because. You're going to have to start. Getting out of the blocks early. It's no longer going to be, oh, four or five weeks of the regular season where you just kind of.

Throw shit out there, see what happens. You go down like the Bengals one and three, like you're out of the fucking division race off jump.

So I think the preseason is going to, you know, look. to build upon uh you know and be more important as uh as the years roll on If you were on Facebook, you won't hear me say this. We are having trouble streaming to Facebook. It may be an issue on Facebook's end. Is it possible the stream was ended or deleted on Facebook?

It's possible. All right.

Thanks, Facebook. Stallas Thompson says Willis's legitimate in Vegas with Kubiak would have been the best place for him to keep developing. They, of course, went with Mendoza. I thought Matt Flynn was legit when he was home in Seattle. Try Angel Sauff for you, Tushi.

It's made by angels.

Pick up a pack today. Angelsoft.

Soft and strong and simple. You are currently into the Winklerverse. We're brought to you by Happy Place M. Promo Code BART. 25% off each and every order.

Gonna need some new seltzers myself. Just finished off the last. of my gummies. And the last of my seltzers, so pick that up. And of course, the promo code BART at checkout.

They've been giving you 25% off for four years. I hope that. You've gotten that back as you're paying full price. It's your fault. You're fucking stupid.

The other Brown story is probably the bigger Brown story. In all of sports. DaQuan Wright will be the answer to a trivia question. Yeah, definitely. ESPN Jeopardy is going to have that one next year, and people are still not going to know the answer to it.

The Browns waived him. And if he clears waivers, which he probably will. Probably. He's going to go play for LSU. Yeah, already got an agreement with them.

So the Cleveland Browns are in the NFL. And LSU is in college football. Any He's been in the NFL. Mm-hmm.

And now he's going to go back. To college. He signed with the Eagles after the draft, claimed by the Browns on waivers two weeks ago. Hasn't played. In a preseason game, hasn't Practice in more than a week.

And Andrew Brandt. had been putting out there that There are some guys. Knowing they're going to be cut because there's one cut day now. Yes. They know the writing's on the wall.

That's next week.

Some are asking to be cut now. Yeah. Instead of later, so they can get back into the college game. I don't know how you're received in the LSU locker room. If you're coming back from the pros.

I also don't think. I don't think this should be allowed at all. And thirdly, Why do you want to be this guy? Why? I mean, is there an NIL bag waiting for him in college?

This is a problem. You can't be making more money in college than you are in the pros. That's gonna ruin the whole thing. But the NFL. Like The NFL deserves this in a way.

Because they have been. Utilizing free labor from college football forever. The NFL has had to put zero dollars. And zero cents. Into its talent.

Acquirement. Business. No, they host the draft.

Okay, and there's. You know, the theatrics of that, but they don't have to get these guys ready. They don't have to do anything. They don't even have to. These guys come in.

Fernando Mendoza comes in. To the Raiders. With experience. Championship pedigree. With familiarity.

You know, the NFL doesn't have to do jack shit. Yeah. These guys are already promoted. They're already ready. And now the NFL might have to Compete with college to hang on to some talent.

I don't know. I mean, college is just what we've known, it's what it's been for years. It's semi-pro at this point. I mean, You already have precedents in terms of players trying to go back to school. Was that guy from Alabama basketball, Charles Betty Ico?

I think that's his name. Um, he was, he left Alabama. He went undrafted in the NBA draft. He got picked up in the G-League. and then went back to Alabama and he was this close to playing.

He had to go through court injunctions and all that stuff. Ultimately, the last judge shut it down and said, No, you're not eligible to do that. But there's going to have to be some similar thing here. I don't think the NFL gives a shit. I don't think the NFL really does at all.

They're looking at this like this is a college problem. This is not our problem. Because if this guy's not good enough to be in our league, well, then, all right. He's not essentially on a roster. He's not violating any code of conduct or anything like that.

He's a. He's a 4-8 player, if you want to say that. He's just not good enough to hang around. He's not our problem. I think this only becomes a problem when there's a guy that is good enough to be on an NFL roster, has played regular season games, or even on the practice squad, if you want to go that borderline, and then goes back to school.

I think that's when you're going to start to see real noise and you'll start to see like legal challenges and injunctions like that. I don't think we're going to be there for the NFL quite yet. The NFL has no reason to be alarmed, but college, you got to be hitting the panic button. Every single one of these conferences got to be alarmed because With the transfer portal and nothing set in terms of rosters and schedules and whatnot, if you got an influx coming back to school. You're going to see kids getting shafted left and right with scholarships getting taken away, or the death of the walk-on.

Like college sports is fucked, man. Whatever version you grew up with is long gone. Like we have not even Even begun to go down the looking hole in terms of what this could do. But this is such a bad look for everybody except the NFL. I don't think they care.

You shut somebody now like. that's not familiar you show them the standings back in 1999 and they're gonna be like Why is college so regional? Why isn't UCLA playing at? Maryland. Yeah, why isn't Ruckers and Oregon in the same conference?

And it's so stupid. It's all TV, it's all ESPN versus Fox. I've talked about this a lot. Yeah. That's all it is.

Southern comments coming in. MC says. Read an article in the athletic that Marquette has one of 18 players in college basketball that are currently making more than LeBron this year.

So the NIL bags are even here locally. I'm sure football has had some stupid money in the SEC. No doubt. I don't understand. There are people Financing these NILs.

Mm-hmm.

The boosters. Yeah. I don't understand why these boosters. Are so willing. To write giant checks.

to get these kids to play for their university. I'm sure there's a lot of tax breaks and loopholes and shit like that. Like, they are not doing this out of it. Because then, when stadiums want public financing, they'll be the first to say, oh, no, it's. We're not.

And then like Can't you? I don't know, maybe give that money to a Charity? Maybe. You know, Puerto Rico has ho has a water crisis. If anybody wants to uh Kind of help with that.

If I was super rich. Giving money to a 19-year-old kid. They don't care. That you get like That you gave them money. No.

They don't do anything special for you. And they should have because what you're not buying them. Nope. Can't buy a person. And they don't know what to do with that money anyway.

They'll probably s give it back to you in some dumb in some dumb shit, you know? It's just the last thing I would ever want.

Now, I didn't go to Wisconsin. I went to Wisconsin lacrosse. But if I went to Wisconsin, it was like a polity institution, by the way. It is. Would I be like, God, nothing matters more to me at 55 than my college team.

Right. Yeah, I can't imagine Alamobo. Yeah, I can't imagine that at 79 years old, I'm paying, you know, I'm writing a check for 2.5 million so some give some kid from Jamaica Queens can go play for Iona. and and hopefully get me to the second round of uh you know the Mac tournament like I No, there's no way that this shit is just about getting your school an opportunity to get good players and hopefully compete. There's definitely some kind of kickbacks in this shit.

All these things are probably just being written off as charitable expenses.

So you're getting like half your money back. I just had a friend text me just now. Great job. The stream is awesome. He said, I'm thinking of renting out a rage room to break stuff.

Wanna join? Dude, you definitely should go in. One of the things that I would love to do is Rage Room. Go in with the goggles and some gloves and protective wear because I want to bat. Or like a or or a fucking sledgehammer.

Like I wanna be tearing things into pieces but i don't want to get any cuts and i don't want to be blinded So I think. Regardless of what that rage room is going to come with, you need in. And I want video. You know who might need to go is my kid. Really?

When he gets mad now, his thing is to punch the shit out of me. That's not good because sometimes you don't grow out of it.

Well, I told him last night. I was a big throwing shit as a kid. I'm still breaking PlayStation remote. I said, I'm not mad at you. For looking to find a way to express how you're feeling.

I'm not mad at you for that. And if you have to take it out on me. It's better than the alternatives. Yeah. But what I don't like is you seem to be enjoying it.

He's like looking for a reason to get mad. And all right, it's gotta be a little whack. Get me a little uh I'm sorry to my unborn child. If you hit me, I'm wailing on you. There are consequences, and you must learn what those are.

One of the things that would send me to the rage room, I do want to bring this up. 'Cause I want to explain myself. Is what Enos Cantor, well, what he's been doing and what he did last night. Yeah. I'll mute myself and enjoy this one.

Really? I have very little thoughts on penis cancer. Should then I should I put you no no please I want you to expound upon this Do you want to be tiny? Yeah, sure. You can get center stage.

And why is this person clapping all my story? Oh. Yeah. Just uh Thanks.

So when I saw Enos Cantor. Buy a ticket to a WNBA game and sit front row. He thought it was a WWE skid at first. I thought this is the biggest loser I've ever seen in my life. Yeah.

Now I'm seeing people say, well, he wasn't the one that provoked. You know, she was young. He he He provoked. His presence. Provoked.

Okay. And there are explicit guidelines on the back of every ticket that you bought. If you've ever been to a sporting ticket, look what it says in terms of. And then he was standing on the court for the national anthem. Also, you can't just do that.

Anybody else would have been escorted from security long before he bec started the theatrics.

So I would, I, here's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking. All right, if this was happening. And we were live. I'm still in the brain of how would I talk about this?

On a show. Because On my Twitter or on my podcast. I am just me. And I'm me on the show, but I do not want to. I don't want to kick the hornet's nest.

I don't think people are tuning in sports radio to hear about Enos Cantor, but it is a topic. It's a story. And Aren't we, if we're in sports radio, supposed to have opinions. And now the lines between politics and sports. Look, in 2016.

They've disappeared.

Well, yeah, but even in 2016 This is 10 years ago. It still was like. It was now it's part of it. It's part of it. It's part of it.

Yeah, now you have douchebags starting companies where they specifically want sports and politics to intersect. I mean, if the White House is going to tweet out that Trump's the sports president, that's not nothing. And sports and politics. I had a guy years ago on who wrote a book about the presidents and their love of baseball. And it was a good book.

Yeah, George Bush owned the Rangers. They love sports. Yeah, and he threw out the first pitch after 9-11. That's an iconic American moment. Mm-hmm.

Like sports and politics. And not even politics. But The presidency. have been intertwined.

Now, what's happening more is. Sports is being used. In the culture war. And that upsets me. And it also upsets me how quick everyone is.

To Be on Enos Cantor's side. Yeah. And I'm going to be like. People know I'm a dirty lib, okay? I hope.

But I'm not trying to hide it, but I'm going to. This is what I think is happening. The WNBA has been around for 30 years. No one likes it. On the whole.

It has its fans. It does well, certainly. But The WNBA Is not part of the zeitgeist in the same way the MLS is not. In the same way, UFC is not. Like We talk baseball, we talk basketball, we talk football.

Oh, we don't even talk Aki. Yeah. So here's what I think happened. Fox News. Is a part of this.

Because they're not covering Shit they should be covering. Massive corruption. The hatch act blown out the window. All this other nonsense. A war we have no need to be in.

So they're not going to cover that shit.

So they need something else. They need some other meat. For the audience. And so they start bringing up transgender people. Then Sophie Cunningham says something.

And now people are like going city to city to go to Sophie Cunningham's games. Yeah. with signs. Look, yeah, I've been team selfie. And she's got a right to think whatever she thinks.

But here's the thing. I have no issue with Sophie Cunningham, by the way. Me neither. Denim starts with Abercrombie, and the people who wear it make it iconic. Their high-rise wide-leg jean is such a closet staple, while their ultra-loose low-rise is the go-to for nights out.

There are no Born males turn females in the WNBA. There haven't been for 30 years. And there are none on the horizon. Oh, there's a French person that said they would be in. Yes.

That person did say they would play in the WNBA if they had a chance. They are in the French second division. The WNBA does not care about this person.

Okay. I mean, what that means nothing.

So this isn't happening. You want to protect women. is the thing. Enos Cantor is stopping a game. That's not protecting women.

That is the complete opposite. of protecting women.

So here's what I'm doing. I'm tweeting Enos Cantor is a loser. This is pathetic. There's never been a transgender in the WNBA. And I'm getting hit with the same responses.

One, when I shit on Enos Cantor, people say, Don't talk about her like that. She's in her rights, and that's not funny. That's bullshit. Because you will not. protect whatever.

Or give them Basically, what I think is happening is this is a giant proxy war to shit on transgenders in a way that's socially acceptable.

Okay, I used to say the last people we can be openly racist towards is Italians. Right? Hey, it's a me, Iboto Enkler.

Now I am part Italian.

So I get that. The Italians get shit on.

Okay. People don't like transgender people. They don't understand it. I don't understand it. I don't either.

I don't understand being born a guy and being like, actually, I am a woman. But it's not mine to understand. That's not mine to understand.

Now If you're born a male... And you become a woman. Should you play in male sports? We are trying to figure out how that's going to work. Probably not.

I would say no. But we're trying to figure out How that's gonna work. And instead of Just going Full in at it right away. Let's take this with some nuance and respect. Everybody.

Respect the person that's trying to play. That can't. Respect the person who may lose a spot. Because of it. But in the WNBA, it hasn't happened.

Someone told me, well, we have to stop it before it starts. There's no chance the WNBA. is gonna they're they're not it's not happening.

So now all you people are worked up because Riley Gaines took fifth place once. Yes, in some high schools there's been People that have switched. And then it gets into like, well, this is promoting gender therapy. And then people like. Later, uh they realized they didn't want to do that.

You're making this issue into more than it is. Are there transgender men trying to be women. Trying to play in the WNBA. No. So let's take the WNBA out of it.

Yet everyone's trying to say, well, we can't do that until the WNBA. defines what a woman is. And everyone's asking me, define what a woman is. A woman's a woman. And a man's a man.

Enos Cantor is not a woman. I don't care if he says he is. You and I both know, we all know, that Enos Cantor does not feel like he should have been born a woman.

Now Some people do. And unless that happens to you, you can't understand it. And if my son told me, Dad, I'm actually a girl. I would not be able to understand it. I don't know.

I don't I certainly wouldn't be like, okay, you think you're a girl at age seven? Let's go cut your dick off. Yeah. I don't mean to laugh. I would raise him.

in a way that he felt was True to himself. And then once he was an adult.

So no, no one should mutilate. Um What is it called? Genitals. Castration? You know, so you can't be a kid or alpha.

But I don't, we're not doing transgender for everybody. That doesn't even make fucking sense. Yeah. I just think the transgender situation. Is not as large as the coverage is getting.

It also bothers very few people that are pretending to be mad. And it's just us getting caught up once again in the culture war as school supplies are 12% more expensive than they were a year ago for no fucking reason. Yeah, it's uh no fucking reason. It's what they call a red herring. It's it's just a distraction, dude.

It's it's just a distraction tactic. Everything I just said in the last five minutes, I'm comfortable saying here. I don't know if I would have talked that plainly on the radio. I don't know if I can. Probably not.

But then again, this is what I struggle with. is when I'm tweeting. I think to myself. Is this going to hurt me? Is somebody.

Thinking of hiring me, and they're gonna be like, oh no, Bart's. There's a lot of people Who shy away from being in the Bart Winkler business? Because I'm too opinionated? Isn't that the point? Yes.

You get rewarded for being opinionated. But if I was on the opinion of Enos Cantor's an American hero carving into Mount Rushmore. I could say that. Yep. It's stick to sports unless your opinions align with mine.

If you think differently to me. Stick to sports. Shut up and dribble. Nothing I've said is wrong. Nope.

I'm not even There was an opinion in there, but I'm basically stating the facts. This Enos Cantor thing, I think, is the worst sports story to ever happen. Because of how The person that's quick to use the sheep. Term is one that's the most likely. in line.

Yeah. Yeah, I remember a couple of years ago when Enus Cancer was like Was looked at as a hero because, like, Turkey was like shitting all over him. He couldn't go back home. Yeah. Turkey has told me.

Changed his name to Freedom. Yes. Turkey ultimately. They have a point. Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Now we can't now he's our problem.

Now we can't fucking get rid of him. I mean You should see the kinda mentions. That I'm getting. Here's one from And I'm going to say a word I've never said in any. Any.

recorded platform ever. Are you ready for this? I said. What'd I say? Uh where'd that f oh I said Enos Cantor is a man.

Don't refer to him as she-her. It's insulting to the people who have an internal struggle with who they are. I'm not saying I understand it. I can't. I haven't experienced it.

It's not mine to understand. Why can't people just live their lives? Oh, wait.

So, we're not allowed to use the pronouns Enos Cantor would like us to use just because you don't like them, you homophobic cunt? Ah, yes. First time I've ever said the C. I say cut a lot. I've never said it.

I say it a lot. I've never said it on a recorded platform. I've never said it on a recorded platform. Yeah. Okay.

Uh Oh, actually, my first day in TV, I said, you won't believe what the cunts at the hospital have cooked up for you now. Standing by, here's our cut on the field. Yeah. These people that are like you. Edith Cantor's not a woman.

He doesn't think he's a woman. That's the whole fucking point. Right. And who is the other Jabroni Royce White? Royce White.

Royce White? Yeah, no. They're Robert Downey and Tropic Thunder. They're a dude playing a dude that's dressed like another dude. Like.

God. They're literally just. Honestly. I don't even want to talk. This is a stupid story.

You're right. This is the worst story we have right now. Let's go back to Deshaun Watson. We've reached the point in life where every issue topic in the United States is either red or blue and nothing in between. I can't stand how everything in life is political.

Unfortunately, we've reached that point years ago. We're past that point. There is no middle ground. There is no moderate. There is no, you know.

Down playing it, you know, both sides. You can't be, you have to be either far left or far right. There's nothing else. You can't like even with the Packers. Right, you either got to completely love them and defend every single decision that they made.

And Matt LaFord's the greatest head coach on planet Earth. And or You got to be a Bears fan. I think Jordan Love will be a top 10, five, a top five quarterback by almost every metric this year. I do not.

So that immediately makes me the biggest Packers hater in the universe. I also think. Matt LaFleur. is The second worst coach in the league. All right, I'm gonna need to name who's worse.

Mike LaFleur. Oh, did you forget Aaron Glenn exists? I'd rather have Glenn than LaFleur. All right.

See, now that's fucking crazy.

Now that's crazy. Yeah. Adad. The floor. I can't believe I said C on this.

That's a big one. Yeah, I can't believe you said unt either. I had a line and I crossed the line. Yeah. It was a kid's This is not a family show.

No, listen, I swear that's every time we get on this. Like, if you're listening to this and with your children. You're a terrible parent. Matt LaFleur might become might one day become a woman.

Well, he coaches like a bitch. Can I see that? That's pretty accurate. He coaches scared. I have, by the way, Josh Jacobs, I drafted him in my fantasy league game.

Am I fucked? Because he beat up some Instagram girl or something like that.

Sounds like either that didn't happen or no one cares.

Okay, because I had no running backs going into the fourth round, so I scooped them up. What is a woman? Are you saying that a person who self-identifies as a woman is not? Who are you to say when someone tells you who they are? Should you believe them?

Why are you being so bigoted? It's not funny. All these people think they're so fucking clever. That's why it bothers me. They think they're so fucking clever.

They think they're so fucking smart. They're arguing on something that isn't happening. Yet. Yet, Bart, yet. It's on the horizon.

We just don't know it yet.

Now, it's not all Enos Cantor's fault. The WNBA is the worst-run league in sports history. Yeah, including all the failed ones. I don't even know how Kathy Ingleberg still has a job. And if I were the NBA, honestly, I'm cutting bait at this point.

Adam Silver's getting more problems with the WNBA than he's getting with his own fucking league. And he's supposedly not the commissioner of the WNBA. Yeah. It is it is just It's just a poorly run league. The WNBA is talked about.

So much. But 99.8% of it is not sports related. That's not good. The WMBA is either a punching bag or a launching pad, depending on what you're. who your audience is for the content you're trying to deliver.

On the WNBA also, like. They were getting more coverage with Caitlin Clark, and then they were getting. Typical coverage, the good and the bad. And the WNBA was like, you're being sexist by shitting on us. Yes.

And banning reporters, and like, you can't ask these questions, you can't cover us fairly. The WNBA does not help its own perception. Even that guy that was like, Caitlin, we're glad you're here. Oh, yeah. I mean, I didn't think it was that bad either, but you know, now that guy can't cover the fucking team anymore.

Yeah. It's the strangest thing. And he throws up he's like, oh, we got to do the heart thing. I think he was trying to be funny. He just, his delivery was dog shit.

I'm glad you're here. Everyone's like, oh my god, he wants to fuck her. I mean, Caitlin Clark is a very handsome girl. No, no, too soon. I thought what I thought this was twenty s twenty six.

Where's my girl at right now? Where's she playing? Haley Van Liss. She was, I was gonna say, she did throw out the Cubs. First pitch a couple of months ago, she was on the Chicago sky for a little bit, but at the end of the day, she got waved like right after that.

Yeah, now she's with the son. Come back to the sky. She signed a developmental contract with the son. You got to build the league around Haley Van Lynn. Yeah, she's a smoke.

Yeah. I mean, she's 24, I feel gross saying that. Not me. I don't give a fuck. I'm 41.

I look like I'm 31. Does Happy Place Hemp sell anything without THC? Because I have a drug test coming up. They have. CBD CBNs that help you sleep.

Those are the purple ones. No, I'm just looking at nothing but Haley Van Lift images here.

Well, Carlos, good to see you. Yeah, likewise, I'll be busy for the next couple of minutes. I'll look at Sabrina and Onesco too while I'm at it. Are you on the Um What is it called, MVP? MVPCA.

Um I will I don't know if I don't know if you can. Say that he's more valuable than Otani. But I will say, whoever had that take that the only reason that PCA would win the MVP. It's because of Shohei fatigue, you're a fucking clown. That would not be the reason why PCA would win the MVP.

But um No way. Yeah, basically PCA is baseball Steve Nash, bro. Or Joel Embiid. Uh-huh. You know, when Yokid should have won it.

Yeah. But no, calm down. If PCA wins the MVP, it's because he deserved it, and he is having a great season. And that was coming off the heels of him starting like shit.

So Good for him. Do you think I've tweeted my way out of a job? I do. No, I don't think that there was any number of tweets that you did or did not make that would have got us working right now because. We now live in an industry where Damon Amend the Laura.

Does not have a home. What possible hope did we have? Yeah, what happened there? I don't know much. It probably seems to be like a common theme.

Like Bart Scott was out at ESPN New York, where it's just like his contract was coming to an end and they decided not to renew it. They're like, oh, fuck it. We can save the money and go in a different direction. I don't know what direction Mad Dog's going within the morning show. If I were a betting man.

They'll probably just elevate Mike Bapchek to the drive seat, and Katie Nolan will slide right in and be the new co-host and say, hey, talk shit for three hours. I don't know Bab Chick, but I... I don't like that. Jim Belushi type personality. Like, I'm crazy.

I have crazy hair. I never dress clean. I just think it's so performative. I really do. Ah, well, uh, hanging out with him as a couple as a couple times I have, that that's really him.

So I yeah, I know. I don't know him. He's not a bad dude. No, I like him actually. I'm sure he's a great guy.

I'm sure I'd love him. But I don't like people until they tell me they like me.

Well then no one likes you. I know. I do, but that's 'cause I was, you know. I was paired with you 'cause I needed a job. And somehow I stuck around.

Carlos, thanks for listening to me bitch about trans. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. They're coming, Bart. They're coming to take your jobs. The immigrants have already won, so the trans we have.

I go. Girls are on the Little League team. And then someone's like, Yeah, but they didn't take the spot of a boy. How do you fucking know that? Yeah, who spotted Monet Davis?

Monet Davis didn't take the spot of a boy. How do you fucking know that? Some boy got cut because of her. That's right. And you know what?

Good for that boy because now he knows he's got to work harder to make the team next year.

Now he's in the Chicago White Sox minor league system. I assume. Why can't I smoke weed if I'm trying to get a job, but people can get shit faced daily and it doesn't matter? Don't I don't know, but I'm on team weed over team booze. For sure.

I'm on team booze. We doesn't do it for me. I've got a very hot take. Whoever came up with prohibition, they were right. I would love to be the modern day Al Capone without getting fucking shot 40 times.

I just want to look. Look at me, Vex Banner. I got a new hat. What a perfect name, Rex Banner. It wrote to me, I killed anybody who looked at me cockeyed.

Wasn't Chesty LaRue a name in Simpsons when Marge had big tits or something? Yes. Max power. Yeah, you don't snuggle with max power. Isn't that the Eli character, Max Power?

Uh no, that's Chad Power Power Power Power Power Powers. Chad Powers. Oh, one more thing. Fallout boy pisses me off. Because their name is Fallout Boy.

And no one connects that to Simpsons. Mm-hmm.

And then they also have a song where they go, and that's just who I am this week. Which is a Homer quote. Where he goes, that's just the kind of guy I am this week. Pisses me off that they don't That people don't know that this is all Simpsons-based. All right, you tell me a half hour.

It's been 50 minutes. I'll let you go. Yeah, Jim and Jillikers. All right.
