Jason Fitz, Yahoo Sports/Fox Sports Radio, on which Fantasy Football moves you should be making and which you should avoid.

Should people be looking for Zach Wilson to step up this year, now the Aaron Rodgers is out? Who does Jason believe will be a great player for this upcoming week, but maybe not the whole season? Moving over to college football, does Jason think Alabama is in a little bit of trouble this year? What’s one of the “strangest things to try and get used to” now in college sports? The Pac-12 is going to be the Pac…4?

You can follow all the shows on YouTube. Fantasy football guru, college football host for Yahoo and Fox Sports Radio. What is going on, Jason? Man, I'm just happy to hang out with you and yeah, you know, I'm really excited. I haven't talked to your listeners in a minute and landed at Yahoo where I'm doing all sorts of fantasy football and NFL work, which is beyond exciting and college football quick hit work. So really excited for what Yahoo is doing and was lucky enough to land with Fox Sports Radio doing some weekend work. So yeah, life is good, man.

As I love to say it, you fell up and I appreciate that for you. So did Josh Allen, did Josh Allen purposely hurt my fantasy team on Monday night? No, because he purposely hurt my fantasy team. Look, this is one of the bigger surprises I think in the early part of the season and one of the biggest disappointments because realistically, what we saw last year from Josh Allen at times was stupid throws that need to be made.

He pushed the ball when he didn't have to, and he was bad in the red zone. Now I looked at Ken Dorsey and thought, okay, there's no way that that's going to happen again this year. And you look at the way Stephon Diggs was loud in the off season about not liking things. I really thought that we were going to see a reimagined Josh Allen and it's Stephon Diggs force play, right? Like, so I felt confident about both of those guys going into week one of fantasy.

And now that being said, it's going to rebound this week. Like the Raiders, you know how much I love my beloved Raiders. I hate to say this out loud, but the Raiders defense, they were, they were playing a really interesting strategy against Denver, which was basically I'll let you complete everything you want. That's under five yards. I'm just going to trust my guys to tackle. That's a lot tougher to do when you've got, you know, Stephon Diggs out there to tackle. So I think Josh Allen will bounce back this week against the Raiders, but your Raiders did get a win.

Yeah. I mean, I I'm as stunned as you are, you know, I was at the, the new sports book that Yahoo has out in Vegas, we were doing a big grand opening. I can't believe they let me be in public and Raiders got a big win.

I was, I was stunned as it happened. As first time, I think somebody said since 2000, that the Raiders have gotten the ball with over five minutes left and not giving it back to the opponent. How do you like that? That's a, that's a 23 year misery streak that was broken at week one. That is tremendous. And I'm sure Josh McDaniels didn't like it at all that it came at the expense of the team that fired him.

Oh yeah, no, I'm sure that wasn't a motivator. Like the Raiders have been bad for a long time. Yes they have. They have seven straight wins over the Broncos. That just reminds you that at the end of the day, the Raiders and the Broncos are the Spider-Man meme. Like they're both fan bases every year. Think, no, no, no, we're better this year. And every year, both of them are wrong. All right.

So I have a lot of wide, I'm just going to ask fantasy advice for my team. Oh, let me ask this about it. Cause we're going to talk to Mike Greenberg later and I hope he's okay. I really thought that they should have taken his belt and shoelaces away Monday night at about 8 30. But so we're going to talk to him later. I'm hoping he's okay. He's been, he's been like getting through it on TV.

So I've seen that. Is Zach Wilson worth a play for anybody that had Aaron Rodgers? No, no, no, no, no.

And no, and like the funny part about that is, you know, I trust we literally just launched today's episode. And my first fiery hot take of the episode on, on the Yahoo on zero blitz, was it the Jetson trade for Ryan Tannehill? Like the Titans have told you, they don't want Tannehill for several years in a right. Tannehill is not a long-term answer, but he's a good enough quarterback to go in and still get them deep into the playoffs. Like he can still play at a high level with good things around him.

So the jets are in my mind, Mike white was the reason that they were close to the playoffs last year, not Zach Wilson. So this is an abject disaster for, for greening. And you know, I hate that. I can't say this loud enough to like, I hate any fan base that has to deal with that sort of heartache out of the gates. Like it's a better story if Aaron Rodgers sucks all year that if he just gets hurt and doesn't play.

So, you know, it's the worst. It is. And, but Zach Wilson through like, how, how often do you see a quarterback succeed on a back shoulder throw when the back shoulder throw really was to the back shoulder of the cornerback and the corner wasn't expecting it. So the wide receiver still made the catch.

It's just sneaky brilliant. I don't know what's better that, or the fact that he throws the football sometimes, like he's playing Madden against like a bad opponent where you're going to run backwards for 30 yards, make people miss you, frustrate them, and then heave the ball down field. Like it's a wild combination with Zach Wilson.

Degree of difficulty is through the roof. Jason Fitz is joining us. Yahoo sports, zero blitz hit the show on YouTube. So I'm benching Terry McLaurin this week, the Washington commandos wide receiver. He's been dealing with some turf toe. He only caught two balls last week.

They're playing at Denver. Although maybe I should, I don't know, maybe I should start him, but I'm benching him in favor of Zay Jones of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Is that, is that a good move?

Yeah, actually, I think it is. Look, if we're talking about all year, I don't think so. If we're talking about this week, I do like, I think Terry McLaurin has the opportunity because he is such a big game guy. I think big plays are a part of who he is. He has the opportunity most weeks to simply go off, but he's not right.

And you can see that in week one, right? And they have other options there. They do have good weapons that can get him the ball. Zay Jones is just one of those guys that sneaky just continually stays in, in quarterbacks, hit pockets. They really like him.

They get comfortable with him. And you saw that in week one in a week one game that wasn't necessarily the best. I like Zay Jones a lot as a play moving forward. He's one of those guys that it's a really smart move to have Zay Jones on your pitch and then put him in when you've got a matchup you don't like somewhere else. Because I think Zay's the type that can get you a touchdown and some double digit points without really trying.

And Kansas City still is not going to have an answer with the pass rush situation. So, yeah, I like that a lot. Yeah.

Well, thank you very much. This was my first smart move that I have made coming off my week one loss. But I blame Josh Allen for that. It gives us the opportunity.

And I only care just very, very slightly because I don't know why. Jason Fitz is joining us here. Let me throw, because I know you deal a lot with college football.

See website for details. You think Alabama's in a little bit of trouble this year? Yeah, I do, actually. And I also think it's okay for that to be true and it doesn't mean that it's disrespect to Nick Saban or anything else. The college football landscape has changed so much. Somebody posted the other day and I thought it was interesting that the 40 top recruits this year went to 19 different schools. And five years ago, the 40 top recruits went to 12 different schools. So the talent is just spreading out differently.

Name image like this, the transfer portal is spreading out differently. And there are better coaches all across the board. So right now, I know Georgia has not played anyone. And it's a disgrace to college football. But I still think Georgia is very, very good.

So we all know how good Georgia can be. So Alabama is just not in that situation anymore where they just show up and things are better for them than they are for anybody else. They're in a bit of a rut.

And frankly, the Texas game is a continuation of last year where they make key mistakes and discipline errors that Alabama teams don't usually make. So this is not the juggernaut they once were. Like, are they still a very good team? Are they still a top 10 team? Yeah, are they a national championship favorite year in and year out?

No, I honestly don't think they are. And that's going to take some getting used to for the Roll Tide fans. I think they're a better version of Clemson right now. And I've looked at Clemson now twice. And I think Clemson's offense is ordinary. And I think Alabama is a better version of ordinary.

But I don't think they're significantly better. I think Clemson's a top 25 team ultimately, even though they're not ranked now. But I don't think they're going to lose more than three games. They may not even lose that much over the course of the year.

Jason Fitz is joining us. And before I let you go, isn't it cool that we have, what, six, 75 percent? I don't even know.

I can't even do the math. Eight of 12, that's two thirds of the Pac-12 is ranked. And it's going to be the Pac-2 next year.

It's one of the strangest things to try and get used to, you know, and there's so much talent out there. Like you mentioned, Alabama and Clemson. And what do they both have in common? They both figure trying to figure out what the quarterback situation looks like. Then you look over the Pac-12 and you've got a bunch of guys that teams are already salivating over for the NFL, right? So it's interesting how the NFL and college football have this wildly in common right now, which is if you've got a quarterback that can do almost anything, then you can do almost anything, right? And we're seeing that play out on Saturdays.

It's it's a shame. Like what I'm trying to do this year is just appreciate what we're getting from the Pac-12 without focusing too much on the fact that we won't get it again next year. We're going to get some marquee match-ups when all of this happens. And maybe we'll get less weeks like this weekend that are just chock full of bad cupcakes that nobody wants to see. But I don't know, man.

Like the other side of it is think about this right now. We're looking at this weekend, Tennessee, Florida, and nobody cares because Florida just isn't good enough to make that matchup where it needs to be. What's going to happen when there's a bunch of teams that are like Florida that have been juggernauts for a long team, a long time, and they're just sitting in the middle of their conference standings. Yeah.

Or at the bottom, like the University of Nebraska for like 30 years was the gold standard of college football. And now Matt Rule says at the beginning of a press conference, this is what you get when you hire me. Look, I don't need to listen to the rest of it. I don't need you to put it into context, Matt. I agree.

This is what you get when you hire me. By the way, ACC Big Ten Challenge Weekend. There's six ACC Big Ten matchups this week. So dine on that for your college football viewing pleasure.

Jason Fitz, my friend at Jason Fitz, Yahoo Sports, Fox Sports Radio, everywhere. By the way, the guy who wrote that article was your colleague, Dan Wetzel, because I read it and it was brilliant slamming all of the people who were against NIL, how it was going to ruin college sports. It's going to take our fandom away.

Uh-uh. In the meantime, all we're doing is just flocking to watch Colorado for the first time. Yeah, credit to Wetzel. That's a great pull by him.

I mean, college football is like the NFL. It's undefeated. Jason, I appreciate your time, man. I'll check in again very soon. Always appreciate it, brother. Thanks for having me. You got it.
