Yoga and astrology are being used as tools of spiritual deception, leading people away from the true God and towards pagan worship and demonic influence. Experts warn that these practices can have serious consequences, including increased anxiety, depression, and even psychosis. The church is being targeted by these practices, which are designed to infiltrate and divide the church. It's essential to understand the true nature of these practices and to pray for those who are caught up in them.

Now live from the Truth Booth, your host, Robbie Dilmore. Today on Kingdom Pursuits, I have one guest from the NRB, one that sent me a book years ago, actually months ago, and I'm looking forward to have a discussion with both of them. But we got, first off, we got Dr. Elena Arguello, and she, I gotta tell you, I had a chance to interview her at the NRB, and I think you're really gonna see some shocking stuff about yoga.

The name of her book is Unearthing Yoga's Ancient Roots, Exposing Sorcery and its Transcultural Reach, Introducing the Yoga You Don't Know, 84 Postures to Challenge You Beyond the Mat. So welcome, Dr. Arguello. Thank you, I'm happy to be here. Live from Colorado this morning, right? California. Oh, California, I'm sorry.

Yes, no, that's okay. Even further on the west coast. And so it's a fascinating thing that I had no idea how yoga has crept into this culture under the guise of just sort of an exercise thing or something that would make you healthier. But boy, it's dangerous stuff, isn't it, Doc? Yes, yes, and it has many forms that are not always called yoga that the church doesn't recognize or typically identify.

So yes, it's more ancient than India, and we have a lot of information now, a lot of data from archaeology and cultural anthropology, and that it's ancient sorcery, and it's still being used in practice as sorcery today. Yeah, it's some amazing stuff, and also speaking of cults, because we're going to get to speaking of cults in a minute, by the way. And you don't know this, Doctor, but I often have this series of somewhat jokes in here called shenanigans. We're going to do that in a minute, but also I have with me Alan Gaddis, and Alan is the author of Revelation Signs, Astrology Condemned and Discovering What God Says. So along the same lines, there's a lot of dangers in astrology, right Alan?

Oh yes, it's a demonic influence and a spiritual trap. Right, and so actually guys, I have a funeral that I'm going to officiate here shortly, and so Bill Mixon's going to help me out with this particular show, but I did want to get my riddles in. So speaking of cults, right Nick and Bill and whoever. And so you just have to bear with me on this.

I know our listeners love it, I know I love it. So here you go Bill, and I love especially asking Bill these questions, and Nick it's time. So you might know this one. Why did the chicken join the cult? Why did the chicken, you're not bawking. Why did the chicken join the cult to get to the other side?

Come on Alan, it was a little funny, now come on. I think he dreams he's up around 3 a.m. What's the hardest cult to join? Have you ever thought about that? What's the hardest cult to join? Nick, are you warmed up over there? Hardest cult to join.

That's a difficult. And this will raise a few eyebrows out there, but I'm not using any words that are not in line with Kingdom Pursuit. So you know how to avoid dangerous cults?

Nick, what do you think? Alan you got that one, how to avoid dangerous cults? Always have God in your heart.

That'll work, but you have to practice safe sex. S-E-C-T-S. That'll leave a mark. Alright Bill, I know you're going to love this one. What do you tell your friend when they believe that one day they'll cease to exist and become water vapor? What do you tell your friend when they think that one day they believed in this cult that they're going to become water vapor? What do you tell them Al? Well, they'll become part of the recycle. Yeah, you say you'll be missed.

I'll flush you gently. Yeah, you know how you get kicked out of the secret vegetable association cult? The secret vegetable association cult, how do you get kicked out Nick?

You have some bad seeds. That or you spill the beans. Oh, that was a good guess though. It was a good one. So you knew at the end of all those actual shenanigans I would have a riddle for you to call in and win today. So, you know, you may wonder why the trout left the cult, Bill. I know you thought about that, but it was too sacrificial. But speaking of fish, what musical instrument did the disciples play and fish with?

What musical instrument did the disciples play and fish with? Don't give it away Nick. Aw man. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. And if you get that Nick, tell them what they'll win. Absolutely. Yes, you'll be winning a prize from Arkinen Pursuits. A prize of all I can include. A date the word calendar where you get to have words of wisdom every day of the year.

Absolutely awesome. And we have books. We actually have three of Dr. Gaddis' ebooks that we have in our... I'm not a doctor. Pardon me? I'm not a doctor. Oh.

Excuse me. Alan E. Gaddis' Revelations, Signs, Astrology. We have three of those books that you can get as well. All you have to do is call and tell us, you know, what musical instrument and fishing apparatus did the disciples use?

866-348-7884. But seriously, and really seriously, I bet you that Dr. Guayo, did you see my jaw just like drop onto the floor of the NRB when I realized what you were telling me? Like, oh my goodness. This is scary stuff. What people are falling for with this yoga. Yes, yes.

There's a lot more. People don't understand that yoga is actually an idea based in a philosophical framework and it produces practices. When people say they're practicing yoga, like for example, exercise yoga at the gym, which is a spiritual exercise, not a physical exercise. But we've been sold as a physical exercise.

That's one of the practices. That's called yoga kara. Yoga is an idea based in a philosophy. And it's very ancient. It's moved all the way through biblical times and how we were targeted by certain groups for to infiltrate the church under different names, under different forms. And it's actually linked to, I'm excited to take a look at the gentleman's book, Alan, your book, because it's actually tied to astrology.

What it has to do with ancient worship of Jupiter and what this has to do with the pre-vaded gods and also what it has to do with Hitler and what Germany was doing with yoga and what they believed about false philosophy to justify hurting the Jews. So it's a comprehensive book, archaeology, neuroscience, how it's changing our brains toward an Eastern God. And yes, I've been researching this for 10 years and lots of, I go all the way from the ancient world, ancient Mesopotamia, Sumeria, all the way through to now. Wow.

And Alan, same thing with yours. Astrology goes back as, right to the, you know, way back even before Babylonia, right? Yes, all the way in the Old Testament. And the common denominator between them all is they're all demonic influences. Anything to distract us from God, the living God. And, you know, it's interestingly as we get, I guess, into the book of Revelation where a lot of people take their end time theology, all of a sudden there's a real temptation to fall into that trap, right Alan?

Well, we each have our own weaknesses and are lured into these things. We've got to go to a break Alan, I'm sorry. When we come back, Bill will be with you hosting.

And of course you need to call in and tell us about these musical instruments that the disciples played. 866-348-7884, 866-34-TRUTH. We'll be right back.

Welcome back. Kingdom Pursuits is a call-in show. We'd love for you to call in. We've got two wonderful guests here.

Alan Goetz has a book, Revelation Signs, Astrology Condemned in Discovering What God Says. And Dr. Elena Arguelles, pronounce your name for me, please. Yes, Arguelles. Arguelles, sorry about that.

You're fine. She's here to talk about yoga and the problems associated with it. And what I'd like to start off with is to ask each of you how this became important in your life. What happened that made this, or when did you hear God tell you that you needed to get the truth out? So Alan, how did this become an important message that you wanted to share with people?

Well, it began 20-some years ago when I was getting ready for church one Sunday morning and I had the TV on. And Dr. D. James Kennedy came on talking about, with a sermon, about the real meaning of the zodiac. In Job chapter 38, God is talking to Job about the constellations in verses 31 and 32. And in those, he mentions Orion and he mentions the bear and its cub, and then he mentions Maseroth.

Well, Maseroth is a Hebrew word. And if you go to the complete Jewish Bible, which is available on you version on your phone apps, that same passage says Maseroth means the constellations of the zodiac. Now, as children, we were taught that everything associated with zodiac was witchcraft. And so in its zealousness to shun the evil, they shunned the zodiac as well. Well, zodiac is God's name for them.

That's what he names them. And what we've discovered is that the signs of the zodiac represent characters and events in the gospel story and the story of salvation. And this is how it began for me. And the Holy Spirit just put it on me to write a book about it.

Thank you very much. Dr. Alaina, how did you get into wanting everyone to know the truth about yoga? Well, my testimony, I won't give my whole testimony.

There's not time today for that. You know, as a child, I knew that Jesus was real. I used to talk to Jesus. But over time in life and different events, I started pulling away from God.

I even was upset with God, angry at God. Thought I could disprove God. And when I went on a pursuit academically trying to find ways to disprove, I realized I couldn't disprove him or his existence. And the fact that he walked the earth and died and was buried and rose again. And so I thought, well, he must be in all other religions.

So I started studying other religions, mostly Eastern religions, and did not find God there. But when I came out of it, I was still lost. And I started pursuing a career. And I, my masters as a clinical masters in marriage, family therapy, and I moved, I went into work with gangs in Los Angeles. I did street work. So I was in the homes and in the school. So I saw a lot of violence. And it was so bearing on me that I thought, well, I need to, I need help with all of this. Everything that I was seeing and experiencing in my work. And I, I thought I should pick a religion.

I thought I need religion. So I, any, many, my, any mode, all the religions I had studied, I picked a sect of Mahayana Buddhism called Nichiren Buddhism and became a serious practitioner. And from there, I was practicing.

I started having some questions, wondering why the Hanzi, the Chinese characters on my, my Gahansan, you know, had a demon goddess that ate children. And, you know, but I just was still chanting, still, still doing this practice. And God called me out of it. Literally, he stopped me in my tracks. And I heard I am Yahweh.

And that was it. My heart was his and I belonged to him. His grace poured over me. And I just was studying his word. This was before I met my husband about three years. I was studying the word, very thirsty, had to rebound that Bible twice, maybe three times.

I was just in the word. And I, about three years in, I met my husband and it was through him. He was really encouraging me to start teaching and writing. And I started teaching and other things, I started being exposed to what was in the church. Honestly, I thought I had had regret of the darkness I was in, instead of giving, you know, early on, knowing that I had left the truth and walked away. And I had regretted that time. But then I realized God had redeemed my soul.

And he also redeems our past, right? And all of a sudden it started becoming clear. So I started getting students that were coming to me with things that were going on inside the church. People would hand me books and I'd look at these books and I'm like, this is the occult and the new age witchcraft stuff that I got into.

And forgive me, I forgot to mention that. I did get into that in Los Angeles, a lot of shamanistic practices and other things. And trying to experience, not just reading the text that were available, but I started reading it. And so as this started going on, I started seeing it more and more and the Lord just kept pressing on me. And I realized this was the call, that everything I had done walking away from him was really going to be for his purposes and his glory. All the data I had, all the information from reading the text of these ancient texts of these religions, and then also my experiences in him calling me out. So for 10 years I've been researching the material that's in this book.

And later I pursued my doctorate in apologetics. And I'm just letting him lead all of that. So just to try to warn the church, the oppression, the burden, and also the pagan worship, takes us away from the true God, the God that's revealed himself through his word.

Thank you. In my mind, what I've always thought was that the biggest problem, and the more I listen to both of you, I don't think I've got this right. But one of the biggest problems is that James tells us all good gifts come from God.

And when we lift up these other items, we give credit where credit's not due to other things. Alan, is there a particular individual or situation in your life where you saw astrology really mess up somebody or their life? Not really, because I never had anything to do with it. I was raised Southern Baptist, and we just were taught to shun all that stuff.

So we didn't even associate with anybody, not knowingly associate with anyone that had anything to do with it. Have you shared your thoughts, your books with anybody that has shared a story with you? I have sent 130-some e-books to pastors in Africa. I have mailed the book itself to over 100 pastors in this country. So the Holy Spirit led me to do that, because when you share it with the pastors, when they're so led, they'll share it with their congregations. Now, we are a call-in show.

The phone number is 866-34-TRUTH, 7884. If you've got a question for one of our guests, we'd love for you to call in. Alaina, I would think that with all the work that you did, that you've seen some cases where yoga has actually caused some problems in a family or an individual. Are there any stories you'd like to share?

Well, yes. I think that it's interesting. The church is warned by people like myself and people that have come out of yoga. There are several stories about people being delivered out of yoga, the Kundalini deliverance, and then also the gurus tell the church they can't practice yoga.

So it's interesting. The people that experienced it and have the knowledge warn the church, but unfortunately, sometimes people still fall into those traps, which really just reveals, that's just evidence for how dangerous it is, because it's that deceiving that we have clear warning signs to stay away from it, but yet people still keep going into it. But actually, the medical data, yoga is a multi-billion dollar industry, and so the medical data is hard to find because it's getting skewed, altered, and corrupted. However, there's many secular psychologists that started revealing the actual medical data, and I show this in the book. But yoga can increase anxiety, increase depression, it can lead to psychosis. We have massive amounts of information coming from Ivy League universities as well, just massive data that is actually harmful to your health. And then on top of that, that's the actual real data, and it can cause dissociation, depersonalization, and losing touch with reality.

And the text and the goobers will tell you the same thing. These are the goals of yoga. Another goal of yoga is to make you transgender.

So even if you're not practicing yoga, we see its influence, its philosophy on our culture with transgender, cancel culture, that's a yoga philosophy, pronouns, yoga, all of these things are yoga philosophy, because again, people don't actually understand what it is. We need to get into that a little bit when we come back from the break. If you would like to call in and ask one of the guests a question, 866-348-7884, we appreciate you listening, and we will be back after this break. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits. This is Bill Nixon filling in for Robbie Dilmore. We've got two wonderful guests on today. Alan, would you mention your book again and let the audience know how they can get a copy or reach you, please?

Yes. The book is called Revelation Signs, Astrology Condemned and Discovering What God Says. And the bottom line is this. For nearly 2,000 years, people have desired to know the meanings of the Revelation passages. We are in the end times, as we well know, and God has chosen this time to reveal these meanings to us at this time. The book contains Holy Spirit interpretation, not my interpretation.

And we can now read the book of Revelation and understand what it says. It's available on Amazon, Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble, Walmart. You can buy it online just about anywhere. Alterhouse is the publisher. You can also get it from their website as well, Alterhouse.com. And your contact information is in the book? Actually, my contact information would be on the website, RevelationSigns by Alan E. Gaddis.com. Wonderful. Thank you. Elena, you have a book too, don't you? Yes. Yes, it's Unearthing Yoga's Ancient Roots, Exposing Sorcery and its Transcultural Reach. It is available on Amazon, and they can reach me through my website. I have a contact page, www.sovereignandgood.org.

Wonderful. Elena, part of me is going, I've been a member of the Y, and I have gone through classes, and I have done exercising. I don't, in my mind, think about it much more than the exercising routine. Help me understand, is just the exercising part itself a problem? Or is it when you get into the reasons and the explanations of what you're doing?

At what point does this really turn detrimental? All of it. So yoga was intended and designed, and I document all of this, that it was intended and designed in America, and actually targeted by the occult for the church, in several forms, not just in gym yoga, but to attack the church, and divide the church, and get them to worship a false Jesus, who's really their messiah, who by description is our antique price, as we are in the end times. I believe it is the end time sorcery that's warned about, even pharmakeia. Actually, pharmakeia is not just drugs. It's incantation. The Eastern meditation is actually what that is.

So it actually can put you, it has the same effect on your brain as drugs. It is essentially Earth, Mother Earth worship. The Kundalini is actually the goddess, and it's all celestial and animal, asanas. Asana actually means the throne of the deity.

So the postures that people are doing, they say postures in English, that means asana, and the Sanskrit is throne of the deity. So no, we can't do pagan worship, even if it's marketed as a commodity in America. It's still pagan worship. Whatever, and just because something says it's healthy, doesn't mean it's actually healthy.

You can read the ingredients on a candy bar that might say healthy, or granola bar, but read the ingredients, it's not healthy. But the data, I try to show the church the data. If you go to yoga journal, or elephant journal, they'll flat out tell you that it's not a physical exercise.

It's a spiritual. But the medical data also reveals that. It leads to an Eastern world view, and an Eastern God. That's what it's producing in people's minds when they practice it.

There's massive amounts of research that it's all documented for people to look at, and then they can research. It's still practices today that are sacrificing children in India, to the goddess of yoga, and we know that. And the gurus tell Christians they can't practice yoga without the Kundalini changing their mind. So it's just because it's been marketed for money, which again was intended, does not make it right in the eyes of the Lord, and doesn't mean it can't have its effect on you. And again, the medical data is showing it will have its effect on you, whether you intend for it to, or not. And I guess the best apologetic for that is, you may not know something that you're putting into your veins is actually heroin. You may not know what it's intended for, what its results could be, or that it's called heroin.

But if you put it into your system, it's going to impact you the same. So it's the same thing for the church. And so part of what the book is trying to expose is not only the consequences, but also what it was in the ancient times. We know, people say yoga is not in the Bible, that's not true. We know through archaeology what has been, what were the practices when God says don't do the ways of the pagan worship. We now know what those practices were.

When Paul's talking to different groups in the region, we know the practices, the Eastern practices that they were practicing. And many, I'm not the first, the early church warned about this. There were people, reformers that warned about this. There were people, there was a man actually at the time that Darwin published his book that also warned about this. So the church has been warned, but unfortunately it keeps coming in because that's what deception is. Deception is deceiving.

Alan, when I think about astrology, I think about the news, I don't know whether the newspapers still do this, but when I grew up, there would be that section in there where you would go and check out your birth date and see what type of day you were going to have today. I laughed at it. I thought that this is the silliest thing in the world, especially when you read them and most everything they say applies to just about anybody. But help me understand how this goes in the wrong direction. What is it that we bump into in our life today that's a mild form that can go and grow into an ungodly behavior? Well, what evil does is it takes the good things of God and twists them and perverts them into something other than what was intended. The zodiac is God's word. The signs of the zodiac is what God did. But people that were into witchcraft took those and assigned them months of the year so that everybody could relate to whatever their sign was for their birthday. And then they twisted them to say that how would the stars influence our lives?

And the daily horoscopes, you're correct, the daily horoscopes could apply to just about anybody. So what it is is it's a demonic deception to get you to believe that you can follow the path that you want to have and be in control of your own life and you don't have to listen to God. Witchcraft is an attempt to go around God to get what you want. That's the bottom line. And it's a demonic deception.

We can't live without God. Alaina, if you have a family member that is doing yoga and you believe this is something that they shouldn't be doing, can you share a resource or a way that you communicate that in an effective manner with a person that you'd like to see, leave that behind in their life? Yes. And I want to say again that there's not just gym yoga.

So mantra yoga can actually come through music, word of faith, these different movements that are in the church are all forms of yoga. Alaina, I don't know whether you can hear the music on that point, but it's coming in and we've got a heartbreak. When we come back, we've got five minutes and I want you to answer that question.

And if we've got any time left, we'll have Alan share a last point. Thank you for listening. We expect to be back in just a moment. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits.

This is Bill Nixon filling in for Robbie Dilmore. We've got two wonderful guests. Alan, tell us the name of your book again. Revelation Signs, Astrology Condemned and Discovering What God Says.

And then Alaina, what's the name of your book? Unearthing Yoga's Ancient Roots, Exposing Sorcery and Its Transcultural Reach. And you were going to share with us what, if you've got someone in your life you love, care about, you're concerned about, how do you go about encouraging them to move in a more godly direction?

How do you explain to them, in a simple manner, why yoga's a bad thing? So I'm going to give you three quick points, and I think this is a great question. So, one, the first two points are both, we understand this from the Bible, and then also historically and cultural anthropologically this is proven. So, one, pray about them knowing the true identity of the creator. Romans 1 tells us that the denial of the true creator is what leads to pagan worship practices, and then the pagan worship practices produce the immorality and that falling away.

We also know that historically with culture groups. So praying about that, if they can teach anything, the true biblical nature of God, the creator, the Trinity, his divine attributes, and how that's different from an Eastern God. But also pray about, and ways to talk about what you see, witchcraft, which yoga is witchcraft, witchcraft enters people's lives, it gets offered to them to participate in it. At a time when they're hurting.

So usually you can target someone started to practice or if you're hurting if you're going through something really hard right now. Watch, Satan's going to try to bring something that's going to promise health and healing and prosperity, and it's a lie, so do not fall for it. And so I would also say, for your loved ones, because I had people that prayed for me, is to remember that, you know, when people are lost and they're trying to chase these other things that God's chasing them to remember how good God is that he's sovereign, and that that just pray for them that the Lord just, and just know that we know that the Lord loves them even more than we do. And just trust the Lord in that.

And, and also with your own heart, ask God to examine your heart if you need to get pagan worship out of your life so you don't stumble them, and he'll lead you and show you with all of that. And if you want a resource. There's several great testimonies out there but one that I really love is a book called Death of a Guru. It's a small short read. It's a good book to hand to somebody that's into yoga. And it is his testimony is a testimony of a Brahmin priest he was a Brahmin priest which is the highest class in Hinduism, and which they have, they have a lot of money a lot of resources to them a lot of respect, and it's an incredible powerful testimony, it links to even what recognizing that there must be a creator with some of the first steps as Jesus pulled him out of this is a beautiful testimony even with a little bit of fun humor in it. It's very enjoyable and it's kind of a safe book to start if you wanted to give them that resource but the best resource is anything in the scriptures that talks about the Creator.

Thank you very much. Alan, do you have any suggestions if somebody's got a family member and they're doing more than just reading the newspaper to check out what they should or should not do, how does somebody walk away from astrology? Well, you could give them a copy of my book. The Revelation 12 passage starts out with a great sign in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of 12 stars.

That's talking about the constellation Virgo, and that's where the gospel story and the story of salvation begins. Okay, you hand somebody your book. How do you encourage them to open it up and read it?

Well, it has information about astrology that would be critical to their salvation. Okay. Elena, what was the reason you wrote your book? Do you give it away to folks and when you hand it to them, what do you say?

Oh, I'm not sure what. I guess it would be for that person and in that moment. My heart is for the church to get the pagan worship out, to not be oppressed by the things that God called me out of. The Lord, what he's given us, we understand more and more as we live, and he's sanctifying us that it's all for his purposes and his glory, and he's given me a lot of information and led me to a lot of information to see a lot of these things, even studying in a time in Asia.

And so what else am I to do with it but to give it back to others? Hopefully it just points them to stay in his word and to trust him and that Jesus is enough. Wonderful. Alan, is there any closing point that you'd like everybody to understand that you'd like to share?

Yes. I would agree with Dr. Elena's first point that everybody worships something, whether it's God or something else. And we need to make that Jesus.

We need to make that God. We appreciate our audience tuning in. We hope you come back next week. Please pray for this station. Please pray for our guests. And let this be a wonderful week where we make a difference in the world around us. We are God's shoulders and hands. Be a light to the world.
