Hey everybody, welcome to the show. It's me, Matt Slick, and you're listening to Matt Slick Live. If you want to give me a call, as usual, it is easy. All you have to do. Is dial 87720-72276?

I want to hear from you. Give me a call. And if you want to email me, that is also easy. All you have to do is send an email to info at carm.org, info at carm.org. And put in the subject line radio comment or radio question, and then we can get to them.

All right, now, so in two days, we're going to have the launch. of the new website. It's going to be launched Friday night, which is technically Saturday morning. We're going to wait till I want to be able to say it's on the 25th.

So we're going to wait till midnight on Friday night and then launch it. And so it'll be on a Saturday. And We're going to have to tell you this because our newsletter system, which we which I was sending newsletters out and they were never going anywhere. Uh the system we've been using, we're getting away from. We're getting away from a lot of stuff, and we're going to be doing a lot of changes in the next year on forum software.

Development of more schools on increased video work. We're going to be doing a lot of stuff with more writers coming in. And which reminds me, I've got an old friend. From uh back um back in the 80s. That I've kept in contact with periodically.

He's got a doctorate and he's a Christian, and he does counseling. And he's written some books on the issue of marriages. And we're going to talk to him, and I want him to write. He said, it sounds interesting.

So, that may be maybe going well as well as we hope.

So. We have um What we're gonna do I'm going to put this so make sure it's on that seat. Make sure, you're going to make sure because. There's so many things going on. And Why did Carm develop a new site?

That's the article on the present homepage. And what we're gonna do is uh I'm gonna post The URL on Saturday, so that at five o'clock Eastern time, seven o'clock my time, five o'clock Eastern time, we're going to have a bunch of people join us. They can call in on it won't be on the phone, but it'll be on the system we're going to have here a URL where people can come in, they can talk, give testimonies about Carm, whatever it is they want to do.

Now, we've got thousands and thousands of people up on the newsletter list. And We can't access it. Apparently, I send it out, nobody gets it. Which is really very frustrating. And so what we're trying to do is Switch it over to another one.

Long story short, let's see if we can do that, see if I can get something out tonight or tomorrow. I I don't know. And if it doesn't happen, then that's just what happens. And I'll put the word out. Friday, we're going to have, you know, tomorrow we're going to have.

Peter and Josh on the show, probably the whole hour. We're going to talk about the radio show. I mean, it's going to be the new website. And Peter is a tech dude. And Josh is a designer dude, and they're both devout Christians.

They have been working together with me and others at the site, getting the new thing built. When we release it, and I'm looking at it, I'm looking at the new site, it's operational, it's ready to go. We're just going to release it on the 30th anniversary, which is the 25th of this month, October. And it is Fast, and so it's going to have a lot of features in it that. A lot of websites don't have.

And we're going to go through some of those things. I think Pete's going to write an article or two, put it up on the website so that you can see what's new. He's more technically minded, which is fine. And um But there's behind the scenes stuff which is zippity doo-dah. It's really good, really fast.

And is secure. will prevent DDoS attacks, bot attacks. Your information will be secure. We're going to be expanding things into the future with potential sign ups for people to get different levels of access and different things. We are developing a new school, excuse me, a new shop.

Which I think they changed the word instead of shop to store. I think a store is better than shop. But. It's working. And Laura, she's been Laura's great.

Laura works with me. And she has been just Um Yeah. Yeah. In a good way, about this feature. She's taking it all like it's like it's her own.

It's really awesome. And wouldn't this be better if that? And that's a better if this. And she's just going for it. I'm loving it.

So maybe we'll have her call in too tomorrow. We can talk about everything and get her on. You guys can introduce. And that's what we'll be doing uh tomorrow for the radio show Lord Lord Welling. And Um And then Saturday, the release we're going to put on the new website.

U R L it'll be the uh Yeah. Why did Carm develop a new site? It'll be on the new one. And um You can go there and see the URL and stuff like that.

So we've been working on stuff and I've got a new guy coming in. I wrote an article, Is Intention the Same as Action? Wrote that today. And yesterday I released an article Who's the authors of the Gospels?

So I've been busy, along with doing tech stuff and trying to do stuff and shopping and things like that.

So there's been a lot going on. And I was on TikTok last night having good discussions. And hope maybe I'll do it again tonight. I love getting on there and just talking, answering questions. raising issues that need to be raised.

Um And then this one, this is a note before I get to Oscar from New York. This one girl found me last night on TikTok. She goes, Who are you? And I introduced myself and she goes, Man. Where'd you get all this stuff?

Where'd you get itchy?

So I'm learning. And so it was really nice. She was grateful to find someone who could articulate the Christian thought. Christian. uh doctrines and deal with um with unbelievers.

And she was just elated. And I got a kick out of that. That was fun. All right. If you want to give me a call, it is easy.

All you have to do is dial 8772. 072276. Let's get to Oscar from New York. Oscar, welcome. You're on the air.

Yes, sir. Thank you. In Revelation twenty verses four to six. Unpositivity. Is this talking about believers reigning with Christ?

Is this talking about now we're reigning with Christ, or is it something to come? You know, it's a very good question. It is. It's a very good question. And so, what I'm going to do is go through Revelation, these verses, but I'm going to start at verse 1.

And get through some of the issues that we need to kind of look at and address because. There's a lot to this, and it's not exactly the easiest question to answer.

So look at this. It says, Then I saw an angel come coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

So I ask people, is the angel literal? Yes, coming down out of heaven at literal? Yes, holding a key. It's a literal king.

Well, probably not.

Okay, to the abyss and a great chain, a literal chain, not a literal chain, it's symbolism.

Okay, something is going on. in his hand. Do angels have hands?

Well, not normally, they but they can manifest. He laid hold of the dragon, and that's figurative also, the serpent of old, but that's literal, who was a devil and Satan, that's literal, and bound him for a thousand years. All right, so. Is the term thousand here a literal thousand or is it a figurative thousand? And that's the question.

But it says he threw him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him so that he would not die. deceive the nations any longer. Until the thousand years were completed. After these things, he must be released for a short time.

So When we look at the term thousand, how it's used in the scriptures, we see that God owns the cattle on it. thousand hills. A day is but a thousand years. A thousand years is but a day. The term just thousand is often used in a figurative context.

Like we'd say, you know, man, he was he was so He thought he's going to be in his room for a million years. And it's an exaggeration. And so When a lot of people, then when they're hearing me talk, they're gonna say, No, it's literal.

Well, y may be, but you can't prove it from the context that it's literal. People just sometimes believe it is.

So it's either the case that it's literal, or it's not the case that it's literal. There's only two. to uh options.

So Before we get into verses 4 through 6, Here's some interesting stuff. In Matthew 12, 22-32, Jesus said, That uh He was casting out demons, the Pharisees said you're doing it by the power of the evil one. And he said, If I'm doing it by the power of the Spirit, then the kingdom of God is upon you. And he was doing it, so the kingdom of God was there. That's what Jesus says, okay?

Now, what's really interesting is that in Matthew 13. It says that towards the harvest, the wheat and the tares, the wheat are the believers, the tares are the unbelievers, allow both to go together till the end of the age. Or till the time of the harvest, I'll say the reapers first gather the tares, so the first ones taken are the wicked. This blows people away. But When you go down to verse 40.

In Matthew 13, when he interprets the parable, he says that the wicked are taken out of his kingdom. That's what he specifically says.

So you see Some people say, well, the thousand-year reign is the kingdom of Christ. It's in the future. But he implies it's here now.

So with that in in view, Says he's bound for a thousand years so that he wouldn't deceive the nations anymore.

So some people. Say that or hold the idea that Satan has been released, that the thousand years is figurative. Just a long period of time. He's been released and he's been deceiving the nations. World War I, World War II.

There seems to be stuff going on. I'm not saying this is the case, I'm just giving you information. Then he says in verse 4, what you're asking about: Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who'd once been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God. and those who had not worshipped the beast or his image.

And had not served the mark on his forehead or his hand, that came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Now, in my opinion, verse four supports the idea Hold on one sec. Supports the idea of the thousand years being future. Because I believe it we're in it now, but I'm honest, and you know, I think this verse helps support the other view, and I do. I think it does that. But I think there's other stuff that's more solid.

But nevertheless, and it came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Well, it would make sense if the millennium was future and at the return of Christ, the people are resurrected and they return they work with Jesus for a thousand years.

Well, that's certainly possible.

Now it says they did not receive the mark of the forehead. And they came to life.

So, who now we're asking the mark on their forehead and their hand? Typically, this deals with the Antichrist. and the beast. Which Typically has not occurred. Except in 1 John 2, Antichrist have gone out into the world, and there's a spiritual mark.

That some people talk about out of the Bible, that's on Believers and unbelievers.

So you see, when I when I talk about this, I just can't say. Yeah. Or it's that. I say there's good reasons for both sides. And so some say that the resurrection is the first being born again.

They hadn't received the mark of the beast during the tribulation period. They came to life, they're martyred. and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years, for a long period of time.

So you see It's not exactly easy. And I'm not trying to confuse it.

Now some people think they've got it all figured out.

Well, then I can ask questions against them. but I can ask questions given my position too.

Okay.

So that's why I'm more I'm more of Mark Morris. balance. I try to be balanced on it.

Okay, hold on, man. We got a break, and if you stay, great. If not, we'll be right back. Folks, please stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276.

Here's Matt Slick. All Rodow and welcome back to the show. Let's see if Oscar's still on. Oscar, you still there? Yes, sir.

Yes, sir. I'm sitting here. All right, man. Ran out of time, but I could get into this quite quite a bit. I could teach on this for literally for hours.

But uh Yeah, so there's just a lot there. There's a lot there, and I'm not exactly sure how to. I don't know if I d even did answer your question, but we really didn't get to it. Um Yeah. But the But one view would hold, it's basically Revelation 24 through 6.

Some would hold it to be literal in the sense that. The thousand years is literally a thousand years, and others would say that it's figurative, that the thousand years is the figurative thing and the resurrection, his first birth, and things like that. And both sides have their ways of interpreting it.

So Okay. Because I'm thinking Is it something to come? Then what are we going to be arranging with Umer?

Well, here's the thing. We are already priests, kings and priests. And this is. 1 Peter 2, 5 You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood. And verse 9, you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood.

And so we are reigning with Christ in that sense. were with him. there are ramifications to to both views. Let's say, and I'll exaggerate a little bit on this to make the point. Let's say that people believe in the pre-tribulation rapture.

then seven years, and then a thousand year reign. Of Christ who comes back, then people will be. Tend to be less interested in being evangelistic now because, or concerned about their. the world they're in because they're going to leave it. get raptured out before things get bad.

And so evangelism may not be as big a deal. That doesn't mean everybody's going to be with that attitude. And then they're going to believe that if things will get better for that thousand years.

Now that's one option, but what if you're in the millennial reign right now and we view ourselves as kings and priests with Christ right now in his kingdom? That would radically change the attitude of people. who would then say, well, if that's the case, then Christ is reigning, it's up to the Christians to be the light because he says, You're now the light of the world. He's telling us to go out there. And in my opinion, The Christian church is failing.

Failing to do its job. We have in our own country, we have a potential civil war coming up with the left and the right, with the rise of hostility from the left. its desire to overthrow our whole system socially. and economically where socialists and communists are gaining power. And this will lead To great battle.

What if the Christians were aware of this and said, No, this is Christ's kingdom. We're going to now get into politics, we're going to get into get the stupid teachers out of the schools that brainwash children, get them into good values and start doing this. What if Christians started having that attitude because they believe we're in the kingdom reign of Christ now? See there'd be a radical difference in our country potentially. You see?

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

All right. Thank you very much. You're welcome, brother.

Okay, God bless.

Now let's get to Nelson from California. Nelson, welcome. You're on the air. Hey, Manitwel. That was Cool.

you illustrated that they were interested. It just opens up one's mind to, you know, there's a lot more of what we really think in the scriptures.

Well, you know, you know, Here, I want to say something about, because this is a big thing for me.

Now, look, I'm one guy. I'm Amel. I believe we're in the reign of Christ. I believe we're in the priesthood of the believers. I believe that we have the calling to go out and change the world.

I'm one guy with autism. And I've done a great deal. I'm not boasting, I'm not bragging. It's all by God's grace. But look what one guy can do.

Look what one guy can do. Look what Charlie Kirk did. One guy And women can do the same thing if they are dedicated to the Lord and say, use me, send me out into your kingdom, because you're the king of this realm. and I'm going to serve you because the King will open the doors where He wants you to go. It's radically different.

Most churches now are being, in my opinion, are being taught how to be lazy. Ferry? What's my opinion? Yeah. Could it be later on?

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I you know, I'm I'll be 69 in a couple of months and uh The idea of retirement. is a weird concept.

You got how can you tell them when you retire? You know, I've got thousands of articles to write, books to write, videos to do. And if God is gracious to give me more years, praise God.

Now, not everybody can do that kind of a thing, but what Christians want to do with their lives? If they're retired, it's an opportunity to serve God all the more. They should be serving God. That's what their life is for: for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not for this idea of, ooh, I get to go fishing every single day.

Maybe go to church and tithe a little bit and go get go get fed it at lunch. Uh We are not our own. We belong to Christ. We need to live for Jesus Christ. We need to stand up for Jesus Christ.

And if one. Dumb, autistic guy can make a difference on radio in a limited area. Just think what a thousand wacko losers can do with the power of Christ working through them. Oh.

Okay, sorry. I'm done now. I can't give me cool.

Okay.

That's good, good. It's good. Um, so I got two questions. We'll start with the first one. Knock it out of the way.

So I called a couple of uh weeks ago how to um No. I was talking to my past basically then uh about this as well this morning and um It is very difficult, but yet the way how we approach it in a sense to m witness to Mormons. And um Yesterday um I was relieving my dog. I have a guy dog because I'm blind, and so I. Um Mm-hmm.

And I'm gonna be honest, like I was telling my pastor, like, I felt uh a spirit of fear looming over me as I was I don't know, it was weird. And I release my dog, and I will pray to the Lord, like, Lord, protect me, this, you know, just talking to the Lord. As I was leaving the area, two men approached me from a distance talking about my dog, Howell.

So he looks and everything is like, Can we pet him? And um I said sure, but I was you know being cautious and everything and And uh and I was saying, So what are you guys doing? in 'cause it's a park right across the street. Like, oh, we're just walking around witnessing of Christ. And I was like, amen, all right.

What church do you guys go to? Oh, we're, um. World from the Latter-day Saints of And I'm like, ah. That's what I was feeling. I see the demonic all around them.

the goddess kind of Alert em, eh? Be aware. And so I started sharing with them scripture here and there, and um I have to understand too that these guys are blind from the truth. No matter what I give them, no matter what I share with them with the Word of God, they just will not understand it. I had them read.

Several passages. And um they were trying to make a doctrine out of Um Out of where Jesus is. Uh you must be born of the water. In other words, if you get baptized, get dunked by water, you're you're saved. Yeah, and tell you how to respond to that.

But go ahead. And so, I mean, so they just got stuck there and And I just say they kinda just say, Well, you know, We kind of Noticed that I was um Not budging. And I was polite, you know, and they're just like, well, we got to go. I'm like, look, man, like. Share some other things about how Christ, even before I mentioned what I said, I said.

Christ said that no man has everything the Father, but only Clash himself, hang on. We got a break, so hold on, okay, and we'll continue with it when we get back. And uh We got plenty of people waiting, too. This is a good day. All right.

Hey, folks, we'll write back after these messages. Please stay tuned. Be right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick.

Okay, everybody, welcome back to the show. Let's get back on with Nelson. Are you still there, brother? Yes. Uh Um Oh, long I mean long story short, yeah, I mean um I guess Give another chance and opportunity to witness to these because they're machines.

There's a Mormon temple literally right around a couple of blocks from my house, so I see them all the time.

So I'll get another opportunity. Mm-hmm. I guess in my advice, I mean, my advice. My question is: how can I deal with? witness to these guys Well, you need to study Mormonism for one thing.

And they think they're Christian. They think they believe in the true God. They think they believe in the true Christ. They think they believe in the true gospel, but they don't.

So there's lots of ways to prove that Mormonism is false. And They go from simple to more complex. But Joseph Smith said he saw God the Father. In the first vision, the Bible says you can't.

So, what they do is, instead of believing God's word, they believe Joseph Smith.

So right there because To not believe God's word is essentially to call God a liar, that what He's ordained to be written through the prophets and the apostles is not to be trusted. And so they're saying that he couldn't keep his word correct. And in the eighth article of the LDS Church it says that uh the Bible is correct insofar as it's correctly translated. And so translation is different than interpretation. And so the translations are accurate, and they even have the King James as their official version.

But what they'll do is cults, what they do, cults basically all do this. They subject and They subject the Word of God to their tradition, to their new prophet, or new prophetess, or their magisterium, or whatever it is. And so they don't believe the Word of God for what it says, and this is why they're deceived. And so Mormons believe in a false God because they believe in a false prophet, because they believe Joseph Smith was true. The Bible does not support what Joseph Smith said.

Jesus says in Luke 16:16, the law and the prophets were until John. There's no more prophets after John the Baptist. Jesus says no one's seen the Father at any time. John 6:46, Paul the Apostle says he dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. 1 Timothy 6:16.

So flat out, this proves, this is proof that Joseph Smith lied and that. Mormonism is false, but proof, they don't care, they go with their feelings. And they've got all kinds of stuff in vest. They have all kinds of stuff invested in what Mormonism is. And they think it's true.

They have a testimony burning in their bosom. And This is exactly what Satan wants. Satan wants you to trust a feeling above God's word. As soon as people do that, he's got them. And they believe the feeling is true.

So now you have these guys going around trying to get other people to believe what they believe.

Okay.

So you gotta study. Yeah. And I remember, well, side note on that, I think I saw a video of you witnessing to a Mormon years ago. And you read something that Joseph Smith wrote. That he is higher than God and so on and so forth, and they closed the book.

Now, he didn't write that, but it's in History of the Church, Volume 6, page 408, 409, where Joseph Smith said, In all these affidavits and all these indictments, it is all the directions, all the devil, all corruption, you false swears, all hell boil over, your burning mountains, roll down your law, your lava, for I will come out on the top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I've done more to keep the church together since the days of Jesus. Neither John, Paul, Peter, nor Jesus ever did such a work as I. The followers of Christ ran away from him, but the Latter-day Saints have never run away from me yet.

Well, I forgot one card. He says, I boasted no man's ever done such work as I. And so that's the one quote. That was read to me by a friend, Charlie, and that one quote started me studying apologetics because I was so upset by that quote. I go, Who is this guy who'd say such arrogant things?

And that started me in apologetics. For real, 1980. Where can I find that? History of this, just go to my website. Just go there and look up Joseph Smith Boast It.

You'll find it. It's documented. It's documented from their writings.

So I'm gonna do it right now. Go to my website and just type in Joseph. Smith boasted Enter. And There it is. He boasted he did more than Jesus to keep a church together.

And there it is. And the documents. I bought the books. in a Mormon bookstore.

So, this is where they get this stuff from, all right? This is what they sell.

Okay, okay. Yeah. Anyway, Mormism is just false. It's false. It's a culture.

Yeah, I mean, big time. And so uh yeah, and then uh so there's that and then um Another side note, I guess not side note, but another question is. How I know that it's uh I did look up a Uh researched a little bit a bit of it. Uh How demonic is Mm-hmm. Tai Chi uses a kind of an Eastern mysticism thing of getting into divine.

A kind of a divine energy, kind of a presence by balancing physical and spiritual things. And so It's like yoga. Yoga itself is occultic. And you can't a true Christian cannot I should not practice yoga.

However, Yeah. Can you stretch into an exact same position in yoga as you're stretching?

Well, yeah. You can do that. The issue with yoga and Tai Chi is the energy balancing and things like this that you're trying to get in tune with and in touch with. That's occultic and that's dangerous, okay?

So, okay, so Can I believe or do Tai Chi? Yes. Or no? No. We have to keep it in the in the more of a of um and the balance of on the side of um No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

You can't do Chai Tai Chi as Tai Chi or anywhere yoga as yoga because both involve energy balancing, energy movements, transference, things like that, which is occultic. Can you move slowly? and move your arms up and down and go back and forth. Yeah. As long as you're not practicing the energy idiocy stuff that that comes out of the East, that the divine frequencies and crystals, and you need to get in tune with the divine essence energy so you can become harmonically balanced with the universal principle.

and stuff like that. Be light as a feather. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.

Okay.

All right. Well, thank you very much, Matt. I'm going to go All right, buddy. All right, man. God bless.

Okay.

All right. Now let's get to next longest waiting is just by a few seconds is Josh. from North Carolina. Josh, welcome. You're on the air.

Hey, how you doing? You look great, by the way. I'm watching you also on YouTube. I look great. I was telling my wife today, I go, I'm pretty grody looking.

I haven't. Shaved in four or five days. I need a shower. She goes, No, you look okay. You're approaching that 7-0.

So, I mean, you look fantastic. Yeah, well, I'll be 69 in December, so I'm up there, and I'm very, very blessed physically. God's been very merciful to me.

So Funny enough, that question deals with One of the Mormon doctrines, too, which is pretty funny. All right. About. 1 Corinthians 15 29 Where it uh talks about being baptized on behalf of the dead. Right.

What is your um Your your interpretation on that one. And the the uh 1 Corinthians 15 is dealing with the resurrection. And Paul is making the point: if there is no resurrection, why do they baptize for the dead? People believe in the resurrection all over, all kinds of groups, even the non-Jews and the non-Christians.

So, in the context, when he talks about this in 1 Corinthians 15, 29, he does not say. why do we baptize, but they? Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead are not raised at all? Why are they baptized for them?

So he's not including himself. He's simply bringing up a point that people would do this baptism for the dead, which is an occultic thing. Done by unbelievers. It's never practiced in the New Testament. It's never practiced, the early church fathers never talked about it, that you would do that.

And the Mormons, because Joseph Smith didn't know. He didn't know what he's talking about. Got on this and then decided to say, hey, that's us doing it. Let's just do it. Baptizing of the dead.

It's just another means of controlling people.

So now you have to go and baptize for the dead in the temple, wearing temple garments, dunked in water for so-and-so, so that in the next life they can receive the gospel and become good Mormons, and you become a God of your own planet, blah, blah, blah. That's what's going on, okay? I appreciate it. Thank you very much. Hey, no problem, man.

No problem at all.

Okay.

All right. Hey folks, you want to give me a call? The number is 8772072276.

Now, let's get with Chuck from Ohio. Chuck welcome you're on the air. Hi, thank you. I'm probably one of a million guys. Way back when I read a lot of house.

Lindsay's books and um I know if I understood it right, Yeah, I I mean it's like you know he would um His whole point was when Israel was back in the land, and a generation, that generation would. You know, see the return of Christ if I understood it. Right. I think a lot of people Took it that way or believed that. Until I mean, did you ever understand it like that?

Or did you did you ever read any of his books? Yeah, I read his stuff, but I never put any credence to what he said. I knew right away. early on that he was not a good exegete of Scripture. And Uh we gotta break, so hold on.

We're gonna break. Hey folks, we'll be right back after these messages. We have two open lines. If you want to give me a call, 877-207. We'll be right back.

It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. All right, and welcome back to the show. We just lost a car right there as I was talking about the third wayism. which I think would have been interesting to talk about.

Um well, okay. I guess then uh the next caller Is Chuck from Ohio. Chuck, welcome. You're on the air. Yeah.

Hi, yeah. Uh it was just on. Yeah. So let's try.

Okay.

So go ahead. Got a lot going on. I'm working during the break, so. Oh.

Oh, I'm okay. I was just wondering about uh Um you know, about uh there were so many people and uh That Hal Lindsay books were real popular. Yeah, it's kind of got a lot of people Thinking that the Lord was going to be back. like right around two Two thousand basically from what I could understand, Well, see, Israel became a nation on May 14th, 1948.

So some said a typical generation in the Bible is 40 years.

So they.

So they started saying 1988 is when I'll come back. And this is one of the problems with this kind of a thing.

So he implied, from what I understand, there were some implications there. When I would read Hal Lindsay's stuff, um uh My opinion is that it was highly speculative and not exegetically deep. And it was based on premillennial dispensationalism. and uh which has problems with it.

So I never took him very seriously. I'm sorry, this is me. Maybe others did, and I'm not knocking you. But if they did, but. I just I just didn't, okay?

So yeah, I've Well, I I guess I got I was saved in 1976. And now, his were some of the first Christian books that I read besides the New Testament. But um I mean right after I got saved, I was I was getting up in the morning and pulling back to the curtains to look up in the sky. Yeah. The rapture is going to happen out of 1 Thessalonians 4:16 through chapter 5, verse 2.

But. And uh This is gonna aggravate a lot of people. But when it says two men are in the field, one is taken, one is left, that is not the rapture. Yet those are the wicked who are taken. They ask Jesus where they're taken.

He says where the Body as the vultures gather. This is consistent with Matthew 13, where Jesus says that the wicked are taken before the Yeah. The good. That's Matthew 13.30. He says the wicked are first gather the tares.

And then gather gather the uh the wheat, so the first ones gathered are the tares. they're gathered out of his kingdom.

So this This model Comp completely contradicts the The preacher rapture thing, dispensational view that hell in the produced. And for him. As far as uh as far as uh past uh teachers, you know, uh any reformers or puritans or what they believe. I don't know. I I never really studied the reformers uh their eschatological views.

What I've heard is that they were all millennial. and maybe post-millennial. That's what I'd heard, but I haven't verified that.

So it would be interesting, an interesting study to find out.

Okay.

Yeah. And we have wood.

Okay, well, thank you. Sure. Um, okay, well that's it. Anything else? Yeah, thanks.

Um okay. That was pretty much what I was thinking about.

Okay.

Well, God bless, brother. God bless.

Yeah. So, folks, we have wide open lines. We had several people waiting. We lost them. If you want to give me a call and fill in the gap, it's easy.

877-20-72276. And um I know what I said earlier may really shock people. Let me go over it again. Um About two minutes afield, one is taken, one is left. I do this every now and then.

because I want people to believe the Bible.

Now the rapture occurs. But those verses, two men in the field, one is taken, one is left, they're clearly not the rapture. And I say clearly. Uh because The ones who are taken are the wicked. And we know this by comparing Luke 17, I think it's 36 or 26, and Matthew 24, 37, I think it is.

Uh you compare And you go side by side, but what it says is, as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be the days of the coming of the Son of Man, for they were eating, they were drinking, they were giving in marriage till the day that Noah entered the ark and the flood came in. Matthew 24 says, The flood came and took them all away. Luke 17 says, the flood came and destroyed them all. This is what Luke 17 says.

So the ones who are eating and giving a marriage, etc., are the wicked. Until the floods came and destroyed the ball. And he goes on, it says, Two men will be in the field, one is taken, one is left.

Now, if you're not sure about this and your eyebrows are shooting up in the air, And you're like, what? Go read Matthew. twenty four, Luke seventeen. And you know, put your fingers on both places where you find, it's like I think it's Matthew 2. 2437 and Luke 23.

Let me just find out right now. I got my Bible thing right in front of me. Luke 17, 26. Yep. and Matthew twenty uh Matthew twenty four thirty seven.

So Yeah, that's right. 37, yeah. No, it's not. Not 37, it's 20. Hold on a sec.

It's uh Come on, where'd it go? Oh, because I'm in the wrong thing. Yeah. So it's Matthew 24, 37. Yeah.

Yeah. There it is.

So it's Luke 17. And Matthew 24, and you go read the parallels, you go find it, go back and forth as you're reading the words, each verse, and you'll find out. The ones who are taken are the wicked. 100% of the time, when I've shown people this, 100%. 100%, no exceptions.

They've all said, Nope, that's what it says, you're right.

Now, here's a question: Why is it that preachers and teachers are saying that this is two men in the field, one is taken, one is left, is the rapture when it is not? And it's easy. It's easy to figure out that it's not. And it's the wicked who are taken.

Now, when you go to Matthew 13, okay, check this out. Matthew 13 is the parable of the wheat and the tares.

Okay? That starts in at verse 24. The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, Then the tears became evident also.

The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, Sir, do you not sow good seed in your field? how then does it have terrors? And he said to them, An enemy has done this. The slaves said to him, Do you want us then to go and gather them up? No for while you are gathering up the tares you may uproot the wheat with them.

Verse 30 of Matthew 13: Allow both to grow together until the harvest. And in the time of the harvest, I will say to the reapers, First Gather the tares. and bind them in bundles to You burned them up. But gather the wheat into my barn, And when you go to Matthew 24 and Luke 17, And you read towards the end of what's going on, particularly in Matthew, in Luke 17. Two men are taken, one is left?

They said, where? And he answers the question. Jesus answers it. He says Where the body is the vultures gather. That's what he answers them.

where the body is. And so If you read the rest of Matthew 24, It talks about uh bad stuff happening to people too. Let's just say. You need to do your own research. But back to Matthew 13.

He says in verse 30, First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them. Then he did a parable, Of the mustard seed appeared. parable of leaven, and then in verse thirty-six. of Matthew 13. Then he left the crowds and went into the house, and his disciples came to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.

And he said, Those who sow the good seed are Or the one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. And the field is the world, and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, and the tares are the sons of the evil one. And the enemy who sowed them is a devil, and the harvest is the end of the age.

Now you've got to ask the question: what is the end of the age? What is that? That's out of the two-age model. Jesus says Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this age or the age to come. There's two ages.

Paul taught the same thing, this age and the age to come.

So the harvest is at the end of the age. There's only two ages: this age and the age to come. The age to come is eternal.

So it's at the end of this age that he's talking about. The harvest is at the end of this age. The rapers, the reapers.

Sorry about that. And the reapers are angels. In verse 40, So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth his angels, and they'll gather out of his kingdom all stumbling blocks and those who commit lawlessness and throw them into the furnace of fire.

So at the end of the age is when this happens. The end of the age. Dispensational premillennialism. doesn't fit. This, the premillennial view with a thousand years, and which age?

Now you have three. You have this premillennial age, the millennial age, and an age after that. But it's not what the scriptures are teaching. And I when I teach this to people, it gets them Agitated, they get a little upset because they've been taught this for decades in their churches, and I'd say. How come I can mess that up so quickly and so easily?

By reading scripture. And the question is why is it the pastors aren't teaching this stuff?

Well, maybe.

Some believe it, some don't. But I would like to say that if you believed that we're in the kingdom of Christ now and we are. Priests in his kingdom, as 1 Peter 2 talks about. Verses five and nine. And if He is the one ruling and He's sending us out in His kingdom to do His will.

Then that would change attitudes. It would change what we do.

Well, people say, well, Matt, if it's If we're in his kingdom, how come things are so bad? That's it. Because the Christians are doing what we're supposed to do. You're not you're not doing it. Because they believe the kingdom's coming later.

Okay.

Didn't Jesus say, thy kingdom come?

Well, yes he did. And he did, and it did come because it came with his death and some stuff. There's some other stuff you can get into. And so. This is a view.

Now, the reason I emphasize this periodically is because, as a Christian apologist, As next pastor, what I want people to understand is we have the power of Christ. We are His children. We have his authority. We can move forth in a pagan world. It doesn't mean it's going to be easy.

It doesn't mean we won't find resistance. But it does mean that we can accomplish God's will by moving forward and doing what He desires, and that we ought to be doing it and be moving by faith. And don't have to have a an exact plan to the nth degree, but we go and we preach and we teach and we try and do things like raise godly children for the purpose of getting into politics, raise godly children for the purpose of taking over this culture. For the Lord Jesus Christ, getting them into politics, in corporations, in schools, to get them to be teachers.

So that we don't have this commie stupidity that's going on and rising in our culture now. The socialist commie stuff, because they've gotten the minds of our children, the minds of the youth. And they've got them to deny God, use God's name in vain, to believe in sexual impurity, relative truth. And then they want to go and they want to make a constitution for themselves, and it'll be D E I. Which reminds me, I just saw this on TV.

The Louvre. You know where they got robbed? It's because I just saw this guy proved it. It was a DEI security hire. and she changed everything and made everything less secure.

Whammo. They got The cat. Robbed. Really was a fascinating study. Anyway, there's the music.

I'm out of here. May the Lord bless you by His grace. We'll be back on the air tomorrow, and you can listen to more of my name, Persiflage. And we'll talk to you then by God's grace. Oh, and we're going to have.

the web developers on The Radio Tomorrow. Are we talking about? We'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless everybody. Bye.
