This is the Truth Network. Kingdom Pursuits, where you hear from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion. Together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into kingdom pursuits.
Now, live from the Truth Booth, your host, Robbie Dilmore. What a Christmas treat we have for you today on Kingdom Pursuits. I got to tell you, I am so excited. We have back with us. We'd had him a few months, well, maybe a year or so ago.
Kevin can tell you. We had Kevin Lanham with us. He. He is an unbelievable music producer and composer, and what he does with AI does literally. Blows my mind.
And so he has some new Christmas songs he's done that I just thought were off the hook wonderful. And I wanted to share these with you, share the process that Kevin's doing with him so they might really enhance your holiday. And so welcome back, Kevin. I guess I ought to click the thing and have him on the radio. Hey, Kevin, welcome back.
Hey, I said, hey, I just said, praise the Lord. I'm so happy to be here. Robbie, I love you and thank you so much. I just praise God for your world-changing ministry. I love you.
Well, same here, Kevin, and and and I'm one of those people that you can hear, you know, in music, you can hear somebody's. devotion. And I've been waiting all week to tell this to somebody. Um And so I'll just tell you, Kevin. That Every year I begin in fact, right now I'm asking God for my word of the year for 2026.
And so last year, about this well, actually in November, I began to ask God, what's my word of the year? What is my word of the year for 2025? And and It got new that I am worshiply challenged. And so he gave me that. He said, Robbie, your word for 2025 is worship.
And there's no telling to anybody the experiences he has shown me in worship in 2025 in so many different ways. He's so me.
So many things, but what he showed me this week. You know, there's lots of ways you may know that I study Hebrew. I love Hebrew. I can tell you all about the different ways. that that you worship in Hebrew.
And there's lots of words for it. But this week I was studying Revelation 11, and as I did... You know John was asked to measure the worshippers. that were in the temple. with a measuring rod.
And so I went and looked at that word in Greek. And when I did, I discovered that it means something amazing that I'll never ever forget, and I bet you won't either now. Yeah. that that word for worship is when a dog licks its master. Wow.
I don't know if you ever thought about it, but that dog is literally tasting you. Taste and see. Yeah. Yeah. That they're they're taking in And so, when I listen to your music, Kevin, I mean this sincerely, when I listen to your music, it's that kind of worship that.
You you are obviously Um So intimate with Jesus and some of these things that, that, um, You can taste it. You can just taste it. And so, with that said, and I have another wonderful guest with me, Brian Hack, who's going to be wrote a book. We're going to get to him in a minute, but just so that you can taste a little bit of what I'm talking about, we're going to play about. 40 seconds of a song for me, Randy.
The one that's called Shivering Sparrows.
Okay.
So we're going to play it. Queue it up there, Randy, if you can. Randy's flying solo for the first time today and he's getting warmed up over here, so Here it comes.
Sometimes a man just can't gather. What it all means Like trying to coke. Shivering sparrows with crumbling saltine. Out of the storm, into the barn, though we meant them no harm, they were afraid.
So out in the cold They stayed. All of a sudden it just hit him like the star of Bethlehem. If I could just be calm. One of them in that moment like the rider of the Carrot, did he begin to see? Not this.
Shiver into Sparrow. But the shivering child of nativity Mm-hmm. It's beautiful, right? Absolutely beautiful.
So, we get to hear some of that today on Kingdom Pursuits. Then, also, absolutely beautiful along these lines. Is I have A dear friend of Dr. Carson's, actually, with me, and soon to be a dear friend of mine as I get to know him a little better, is Dr. Brian Hack.
And he has a very unique story. And his book is even as unique. It's called Genocide Prophecy: Autism. and the church and a new American Reich. And so, um And Doctor Hack is a Veteran, unbelievable veteran, and would understand some of the terms that he uses from that, but also has experience with autism.
And so. Dr. Hack, how would you categorize all that?
Well, thank you for having me. I'm very excited to be here with you. And really I I'm not just being coy, but I'm thinking of the last segment that you we had with your friend Bob and And now with Kevin on the line, and I'm thinking, look at God. Look at the Lord. Look at what he does.
Yeah. Um I didn't know on the day that I got saved. that I would You know, have a son with autism. You know, if the Lord had revealed his plan to me, I would have said, uh. No thanks, you know.
because life has been hard. It's been extremely hard. And yet You know, the Lord has held our hands the whole way through and instructed us in. And through our experience with my son, I now have a heart and a passion to serve people. that my old carnal self never would have even noticed, let alone paid attention to.
And so the Lord has softened my heart in that way. And through our experience in in the church, Uh it first started you know, as a Carnal emotions. I was upset. You know, I saw us being pushed to the fringes of congregational fellowship. And but in time the Lord is like Slow down.
I'm trying to teach you something here. and my eyes slowly opened and Then he called me to seminary and and he says, look. Christian writers have been writing about this for 50 years, and we haven't really. crack the code on it, but I I'm going to get you now to contribute to the body of work. in this literature and And together with all the others that I've called, You're going to be part of my solution.
So I'm really just grateful. And and and Just a god coincidence, we talked a lot in the Christian Cargai about terrorism. And it just so happens that Dr. Hack in his military was You know, anti-terrorism unit. And so we got all we got a show for you.
But before we do all that, we got Gerald who hung on all the way through the Christian Car Guy Show. And Gerald, I want you to get a chance to share your story.
So, Gerald, you're on a Christian, you're actually on Kingdom Pursuits, but I would love to hear your story. Are you with me? I am here.
Well, good, good.
Sounds like you might have your radio on in the background. Can you turn that down? Because it's 10 seconds behind us.
Okay, hold on. I'll cut that off and I'll be right back. All right. Yeah, that's one of those things that when you listen to it on this end, it's like, whoa, wait a minute, that was me 10 seconds ago.
So Are you back with us, Gerald? He's getting here. There you are. We'll probably have to go into break in a second, but I want you to get started, Gerald.
So tell us about your terror attack.
Okay.
I wrote a During Haskell, when they wanted us to write something. And I titled the essay Three Hours of Terror. Wow. Now, I grew up in a family with medical conditions with my mother, so. I never got An allowance or any money that much.
I got great Christmas presents every now and then. Bye, uh sold potholders as a child and I got in the Durham Well, Gerald, I hate to put you on pause until we come back, but I guarantee you we gotta hear this story. I love that you sold those pod holders. I can see those pod holders. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.
Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build the kingdom. We are so blessed today to have with us Kevin Lanham. He is a Artist. He is a composer, lyricist, all those things. We get to hear more of his music shortly, as well as Dr.
Brian Hack, the author of Genocide Prophecy. Uh Autism. And the church. It's very fascinating ideas that Dr. Hack has put together.
We're going to get to that. But when we left our hero Gerald, he. Didn't get much allowance, but he was making these potholders, and I can picture those potholders, and he was selling those potholders.
So, Gerald, take us from there. Pot holders worked in Lewisburg, a small town, but when I got to Durham, Tried to figure out how to make money, potholders didn't work, so. I was too young for a paper ramp, so I started selling afternoon papers downtown. I had a place that I could Look at an n older boy at front of the hotel. And when he left, I would take over, and I sold Colonel Sanders.
newspaper. He gave me a 15 cent tip. went down to five points, bought a Pepsi and a hot dog for that fifteen cents. But I was visiting a blind guy that sold papers on the steps of the post office and when I left him This guy had a furniture store being remodeled said he wanted to buy a paper from me.
So He said he left his Um money in his tree pants and he would you know, he'd run upstairs and get his money and come back and buy the paper. But uh when he opened the door I had an interest in the construction, so he invited me in. But a nice come of throat and drag me upstairs and molested me Now I know it's not politically correct, but he was a pedophile. Yeah. Sorry.
Three hours of terror and The owners of the furniture store came in to inspect And he ran downstairs, And I ran to an elevator shaft. I didn't know where he went through the door because the door closed. I pulled a two before out of the wall, put it across the shaft and went down to the electrical conduits. Yeah. owners of the furniture store called employees And they knew exactly who to pick up.
They picked him up, and he went to prison. And I was 11 years old. I had good parents. I was in Boy Scouts. And I wrote the story in high school, so God performed miracles and the fact that I did everything the psychologist said I needed to do.
No As an adult, I had My p I'm power of attorney for a veteran. And he asked me one day, Have you forgiven that man?
So I had to search my heart to see if I could forgive him.
So I did forgive him. He was murdered in jail because Inmates don't like pedophiles and he was murdered. But I forgave him. And I have Friday night prayer at my church, so Quite often I pray for his family that the pedophile gene does not repeat itself in this Sons and daughters.
So Yeah. Just hope that Anything I say can lead to somebody forgiving somebody in their life have been divorced And I had to forgive my ex wife. We died she died recently. And we were friends. Even though we weren't married, she married again and I married again.
Neither one of them worked. By we were friends when she died.
So Yeah, he did. I gotta ask this, too, though. You forgave that man. Have you ever forgiven yourself? I had to forgive him because I wonder though that the question was Right.
You can't be forgiven. Right. But the c the question I'm asking Is Have you forgiven yourself? I forgave myself years ago. Because uh had a lawyer then represented me in court.
That said, this was not my fault. He was a convicted pedophile. Right. and they had him in custody and he was going to prison. And I had to go to the trial and fortunately my lawyer related a little bit of what happened so I didn't have to get on the sand.
So to tell the story in court. Yeah, that's a wise lawyer. And he's right. Yeah, it is. It is.
Well, Gerald, I'm so grateful that you. Told your story today, and for everybody that's listening that got something out of it, I am very grateful.
So, you have an amazing holiday, sir. and continue to enjoy your forgiveness. Enjoy your show on all the channels. that all the all the programs you're on. And you invited me and A friend of mine in us ministries of the poor to you.
Kingdom Pursuits, and I'm looking forward to telling that story. It's called Meet Me at the Bridge, and he's a former pastor that went wild. and had four strokes, God told him if he Would do a ministry to the poor and hungry. He'd raise them back up. He plays, sings, preaches.
and has a ton of his life with the poor and homeless.
Well that's amazing. It's going to be awesome.
Some of his first homeless that were named John, Peter? And Nathaniel. Wow. That's going to be good. Thanks again, Gerald.
God bless you. You have a wonderful weekend. Bye-bye. And you do. Bye bye.
Bye-bye. All right. Getting back to um Uh the situation with uh Kevin and his music. And so, Kevin, of these songs that you have compose this particular Christmas. Which wa which one that of what you sent me Uh would you like to play next?
That's wow, that's a hard question. I didn't know you were going to ask me that one. Ah, wow. I just felt the Holy Spirit as you were playing the Shivering Sparrows song, thanks to Paul Harvey and his story of the man and the birds. God becoming a man.
Right. Um. I I I guess what comes to mind is Lift up Jesus. That's a good thing to do. We can never go wrong lifting up Jesus.
So, Randy, When do you have a minute? This is another Tremendous song, Lifting Up Jesus. by Kevin. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
How? Come in morning. You're holding up Christmas. Closing the door of the end. Think I'd say never having Christmas again.
Come on, you're holding up Christmas. But look at what a makeshift crib does. Exactly what you did yourself. Me Lift up Jesus when the world doesn't even say sorry, yeah, sorry, we're close. Your Joseph father, you know he's not your own, your life with the light foreshadows.
this family Picture what a true father does. Lift. Oh, Jesus. Come on, yeah. Come on.
You're holding up Christmas. Closing the door. Ain't got saved, never have it. Christmas again Oh come on, you're holding up Christmas, but look. Look at what a makeshift crypt does.
Exactly what you did, Joseph. Yeah. Lift up Jesus when the world doesn't even say sorry, sorry with clothes and your sinful You know he's not your own Your life with the light foreshadows this family picture What a true father does lift up Jesus It is what a true Father does. Amen. Powerful stuff, Brian.
I mean, Kevin, it really, really is. And again, I'm so blessed to have with me in the studio as well as Kevin on the phone in Virginia. We have Dr. Brian Hack. And so, as a true father of an autistic child, tell us about your child.
Uh well, my buddy, uh he's he was uh born about two months before I went on my final deployment. And the Lord has just shown me his brilliance over and over and over again in ways that even as his father, I didn't recognize. Right now he's going to be 17 in a couple of months. He speaks four languages. He now he wants to learn Dutch and German.
And I actually called in and talked to to you about him one time. Because we were fostering a little girl from Southwest Asia. And I had a crisis of faith when she couldn't stay with us. And on the other side of the break, I'd love to tell you that story. You're gonna love to hear it again.
His son has autism four languages.
Well, you're amazed at what God does with people's giftings. They're so different. And so you can hear, we're hearing that from Kevin. We're hearing it from Brian. And we still have to play shenanigans.
You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes his passion gives it to us on loan and and and allows us to use it to build the kingdom. It's amazing, amazing stuff as we hear today from doctor Brian Hack. And what a military career he's had. And then and And now he's gone to seminary and is doing this with a book.
And the way that God's leading him and listening to that is just spectacular. Again, his book is Genocide, Prophecy Genocide. Autism in the Church. If you go to kingdompursuits.com, you're going to find his book. And I put the YouTube videos of all these Kevin's songs so you can hear the entire song.
If you don't listen to all of the Shivering Sparrow song, you are really missing out on some of the other songs that we'll play during the show today. But, you know, it is a Christmas music thing we're talking about.
So. Speaking of Christmas, yes it does. Yes it is. It's time to play shenanigans and we have such an opportunity today. As We are talking about Christmas, one of my favorite times of year.
And I tell this joke every year, so I expect somebody. To know the answer, Randy. But here you go. Yeah. You know, when it comes to the reindeer...
Which, by the way, Kevin wrote a song about reindeer. My understanding is there's Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen, and most people forget Rudolph. When you put all that together, there's nine reindeer. But rumor has it there's a tenth. What would the name be of the tenth reindeer?
The tenth reindeer. You got me. I'm stuck. I really don't know. One year somebody said Nixon.
My fellow Americans. Actually, After much study we have discovered it's actually olive. Olive the other reindeer. But a bye. Yes.
Do you like that one, Kevin? Did you know it? You got me, old Nelly.
Okay, all right. You guys should be able to get this one. This is also an old joke, but I laugh at it every Christmas. How do you wash your hands over the holidays to get them particularly germ-free? How do you wash your hands over the holidays to get them particularly germ-free?
No kisses. Kevin, you got something? Come on, man. Steven. Man, I'm working on a song right now.
Oh, here you go. This would make a good song title. Santitizer. Santa. Santitizer.
Hold on. I could think that was turkey gravy. Yeah, there you go. And now I actually have some very helpful things for you. And you guys feel free to guess, just you can use whatever it is you actually use.
I have here three things that you can say when you get a holiday gift you don't particularly care for.
So, you know, you may need this later on. What are some of the things you can say? When you get a gift, there it is, and you're like, oh, what in the world? What can you say and still, you know, not get egg on your face or eggnog as the case may be? What do you think, Randy?
You got something? I do. I really don't. Is this regiftable? Don't say that.
That might hurt somebody's feelings.
So, hey, here we go. Here's we got three of them. Hey, there's a gift. That's completely accurate. Another thing you could say is, Well, well, well Well and my personal favorite yes Kevin Robbie my my nana used to always say That that's nice love, but don't get me one.
Yeah. Another one, this is actually my personal favorite on the list, Kevin. I really don't deserve this. There you go. That's my favorite too.
And at the end of those shenanigans, you would know that I have a riddle that you can call it and win today. And if you can guess this particular riddle. Randy, tell them what they'll win. Uh Oh my heavens, Robbie, this year in honor of Christmas, we have opened up the Christmas version of the Kingdom Pursuits Prize Hall. There you go.
You can get something from the Christmas Pursuit. That isn't the actual bump-out music, is it? That's just what you use, no problem.
So here's the actual question for you to call in Wynne 866-348-7884. What is God's favorite Christmas wrapping? This is A good question. What is God's favorite Christmas wrapping. If you know the answer to that, you call us 866-348-7884-866-34 Truth.
And as Randy promised, We have Some amazing stuff in the Christmas version of the Kingdom Pursuit Surprise Vault, various books. Shirts. You would be amazed at and not to mention, as always, the popular Kingdom of Pursuits. Gospel Back Scratcher. Oh, that is a sweet.
It's got all the beads to help you share the gospel as you're scratching somebody's back. It's just a natural gift. And it works so well. 866-348-7884.
So. Kevin, when we left you, you were sharing about your son and uh That that that you were having this sort of faces cr crisis of faith because you had this other young lady that you were We had a little girl who was from Southwest Asia, and she had a complex of. very, very serious. medical Uh problems that were also They were physically deforming, and they also threatened her day-to-day safety just with everyday life. And I really thought that when we first took her in as a medical foster family while she got a series of surgeries.
it was my intent that I would be become her daddy. You know, and I thought that's the direction we were going. and after almost a year You know, a lot of hardship we experienced together as a family, and In the end, The social workers at the hospital said, listen, this this is not good. You guys you know And I don't want we don't have time to get into all the details and reasons that it happened this way. Um but Um You know, the medical foundation that had guaranteed her health care had blown away on us, and we were paying everything out of pocket.
And I at this time had about sixty thousand dollars in debt. that I was just I was opening credit cards to max them out so we could keep getting her medicines and you know, all this other stuff. And so the social worker said she she's got to move. She's got to go to a different family. And I thought I had blown it.
And uh I thought I was alone in the house when my wife left. I thought she took both kids with her, but she left. uh my boy with me. Yeah. And I was just wailing.
I was on my knees on my prayer chair in my room. with the door mostly closed and And I wasn't just crying, I was wailing, like asking the Lord, don't throw me away, don't throw me away, because I felt like I had really blown this. And then in comes my boy, who is about eight years old at the time. And now I'm trying to put myself together because I didn't know he was home. and wiping my face and he comes over.
I'm still kneeling down. and he puts his hand on my back and he says, Why are you crying, Daddy? And I said, I'm just really sad. And he leans down, he says, You know, Dad, John 6, 37 says, He who comes to me I will in no ways cast out. And then he leans down with wide eyes and he says, Does cast out mean throw away?
And I just couldn't help it. I was just overwhelmed with relief and happiness and I just started laughing and I said, yeah, it does. And at that moment it occurred to me, That You know, he's got autism, he's got all these struggles and all this hardship in his life. He oftentimes knows what he wants to say, but he can't find the words. But at that moment he was completely fluent.
at a moment when I really needed to be encouraged. and God used my little boy. To recall a lesson that I didn't even, wasn't even sure he would ever remember. And he gave it back to me at a time I needed to hear it. And that's the thing that I want to leave you with in the listening audience: if you have somebody in your family who's touched by autism or another disability, an intellectual disability, or if you know somebody.
You love who's touched. that child is made in the image and likeness of our great God. And don't overlook them. Because just as God has known you from the foundations of the earth and set aside good work for you to do, He's also done that for our kids too. And that's the message of the book.
Yeah, really? The book. Genocide Prophecy, Autism, the Church, and a New America Reich by Dr. Brian Hack. Go to Kingdom Pursuits, find out more about that, or check out Kevin's music.
It's all there at kingdompursuits.com. We're going to be right back. We've got Andrea who's in South Carolina. She knows what God's favorite Christmas rapping may be. 86634 Truth.
You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build the kingdom. Today, so blessed to have with us Ken. Kevin Lanham and his music. It's all there at KingdomPursuits.com, as well as Dr.
Brian Hack and his book, Genocide Prophecy, Autism in the Church, a New America Right. And we have Andrea is in South Carolina, and she knows, and I'm so excited to hear what's God's. Cra favorite Christmas wrapping.
Well, as soon as you asked the question, I thought the greatest gift that God gave us was Christ. And the first thing that was done is he was wrapped in the swaddling clothes. And so I thought, oh, the swaddling fabric. Isn't that neat? And that means the original Christmas present was fully wrapped.
Yes. Well, and I thought because I've heard messages that those those cloths are also used to bind the lambs' wounds or used could have been used to combined you know the shepherds binding the sheep.
So which would be You're exactly right. And see, the other reference that's hidden because God never does anything on one level is usually. In fact, we'll probably be exploring this one for eternity. But nonetheless, Jesus was rapt twice. Right.
Yeah. And those claws Again. Similar. Yes, you're talking about in his death, he was right. Right, right, right.
And last week I was in Jerusalem. And if you go into the Church of the Holy Spirit, There is a stone then you know the stone I'm talking about. There's the stone where he was wrapped. Again, where they say he was wrapped, we don't know, but it's still definitely something significant to think about. that here once again Uh wasn't was the gift of gifts being wrapped.
And And The mystery of what was in that particular gift uh as as it was both times. It's like the ultimate Christmas wrapping, right, Andrea? Absolutely. Absolutely. Well, thank you.
You have to make the effort to get it unwrapped. Yes, you do. The Lord reveal to you what you have received fully and just by his grace alone.
So that's beautiful. All right, well, I'm going to put you on the hold and you can get with Randy and See which gift you want. Oh, you're so welcome. I'm so grateful you called in at such a show as well. A beautiful discussion.
Absolutely. So we only got. A couple minutes left, and I'm tasked Randy with two things at one time.
So, Randy. What I need you to do for me right this second, because I only have a couple of minutes left, is we have to play a little hallelujah once again. If you wouldn't mind.
So, Kevin, this is another one of Kevin's songs. This happens to be my favorite of the bunch. Um It blew me away. Against the back. Strap.
senses they arrived with their backs aching The Savior of the world. And demands for more taxation A closed door at the inn They face that little starlit town The mangers are relaxation And the government shut down.
So if the firm is Oh well, and history repeats itself. Hallelujah, once again, hallelujah, once again. My heart's become your home address. Peace on earth, goodwill to men, on whom your favor rests. My heart says, Hallelujah, once again.
Oh, yes, it does. Kevin, we gotta thank you well. Randy's trying to do four things at once in there, but I got to tell you that your music is just spectacular. And again, you can listen to all those songs and the whole song at kingdompursuits.com, but we only have a minute. Or so left.
So Kevin, real quickly, because I gotta get um. Brian on as well. Share how people can get your music. Go to YouTube in the worship writers place. And I want to hear what Dr.
Bryan has to say. He's touched me so much this morning with that story. I just praise God. Praise God indeed. I do too.
So Doc, we only got a couple minutes. What else do you want to make sure people know about your book? And make a great Christmas present for somebody you know that's touched by this. It's on sale right now, as a matter of fact. It's more than half off.
And I'd like people to know that no matter how many books are sold, 100% of my author royalties are donated to churches or other ministries that serve people like my son.
So Um You're actually advancing the kingdom to an unreached and often overlooked people group when you purchase the book. Yeah, and it's important. Important important to realize for churches that this is a real opportunity having taught. this group for over 20 years at Calvary Baptist Church. Um the joy for the teachers.
Because again, as you discover God's image in places you never sought to see it. Amen. And the book is available wherever books are sold to include Amazon, Barnes Noble, Google Books. you name it, that's available in electronic and print formats. There you go.
Or you can just go to Kingdom Pursuits. It's right there, Amazon. Click on the link and make it easy. If you go to kingdompursuits.com, you'll see Kevin's music, and you can actually click on his channel. He's got so much, it's unbelievable.
Thank you, Kevin. You're my hero, buddy. I appreciate all you are doing out there for the kingdom, and I hope more people can enjoy it with you. God bless you. Thank you, Brian.
I'm glad to be here. Thanks for having me. And you guys have an amazing, however many days there are left to shopping to Christmas.
Well, as men, you know we're going to wait until the last day. Yeah.
