Chidora Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, has decided not to participate in the NFL Combine, opting instead to work out at the Buffaloes' Pro Day. His decision has sparked debate about his draft stock and whether he's helping or hurting himself. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Stanton's injury woes continue, and the New York Giants are looking to bolster their quarterback position.

It is! The JR Sport Brief Show here on the Infinity Sports Network. Thank you to everybody tuned in and locked in all over North America.

I'll be hanging out with you for one more hour. This show gets started every weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. I'm in Atlanta. Our super producer and host Ryan Hickey is in New York City.

Where have you been for the past three hours? 6 Eastern, 3 Pacific, we get rolling. You can always tune in on the free Odyssey app, your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate. You got Sirius XM and Channel 375. And if you got a smart speaker, ask the speaker, talk to the machine. Demand it to play the Infinity Sports Network.

We have talked about a lot. I never thought that we'd be getting into a conversation about the tush push. The Green Bay Packers want to get rid of it. The Green Bay Packers are soft. Let the Philadelphia Eagles do their thing. Y'all learn how to get Jordan Love some help.

How about you do that? Trying to ban the tush push. We talked about Matthew Stafford and his future. Apparently, he wants to make $50 million a year. He is a Super Bowl winning quarterback, but he's also 37 years old.

Do you want to pay him that type of coin? I think Matthew Stafford, he ain't going to no Steelers. I don't think he's going to no Giants. Hell no. What the hell do they need him for? $50 million for them to lose?

No. He's probably going to stay with the Rams. We talked about Giancarlo Stanton. It's still hurt. Elbows are still hurting. We talked about Joel Embiid. It's still hurt.

Whole body is still hurting. What else is new? By the way, if you want to holler at me, you can do so. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Hey, we talked about the Knicks. Thank you to Christian Winfield for joining us from the New York Daily News. We talked about Alexander Ovechkin. And in about 20 minutes, we're going to have a conversation with Ryan Konigsberg.

Covers all things, buffaloes, Colorado buffaloes, because we talked about this earlier in the show, too. Why the hell is Chidor, excuse me, calling this man, Hickey, who's Chidor standards? Do you know who that is? No, but if you're going to say Chidor Stanton and all of a sudden he starts getting hurt a lot, I can see it.

No, we don't want that on the guy. He's a young man. How old is Chidor? 23? 22?

Yeah, right in that range. Man, if he has Stanton's body, just call it. Don't even start a career. Just just don't do it. Now. We don't. Hickey, there's no answer to this question. None. Zero.

How much do you think? You think he's wound too tight physically? Like Stanton is built like you think about a historically baseball players, you think a baseball player is. You know, there's there's the jokes about how big they are, how fat they are out of shape. They stand there.

They don't move. And everybody is not built the same on a baseball field. I mean, Tony Gwen is one of the greatest players of all time. The guy was no slouch. He got fatter and heavier as he got older. God rest his soul. And then we got guys who juice, you know, by the way, there was a nice article I saw Hickey about Barry Bonds. He bikes more than any human being in America right now. Did you see that? No, really. His calves must just be insane. I send it to you. Come on, man.

He must still have that stuff in the system from years ago. Never leave time. Takes a test today. It's positive. It helps with the endurance. Of course. Of course, you ride a bike.

He's the only guy who can ride a bike all over San Francisco and not get tired back. Hey, is that Barry again? Yes.

Barry Bonds. Of course it is. Third trip up the hill. There he goes.

Not a damn problem in the world. But anyway, and I lost my train of thought. Shadore Sanders, hopefully he stays healthy, but Hickey is standing too big. And he said he said he lost weight. He cut out on the muscles and all of this. What do you think?

I think there's something definitely to be said about what you said earlier. Wound tight. When your muscles are that big, your body is that kind of taut, right? And you're not nimble, flexible, plyometric, as Tom Brady would love to say. I think that does lead to more injuries, especially for him. I don't really know what's going on with the elbows, to be honest with you. But other than that, it feels like every other injury Giancarlo Stan has had has been some sort of muscular injury. Because they're wound so tight that it's easier to, you know, to pop one, to strain one, to hurt yourself.

And now you're out for a while. I think wound tight being too big is definitely a factor, no doubt about his injury history. Do you think all that stuff about the yoga and stuff is BS? Do you think he's really embraced that? You see him getting up in the morning and stretch.

I mean, he dates all these models and stuff. Why just go to yoga class with them? You would think it would make it easier, right? They're probably in Pilates, probably doing a lot of body weight exercises that sure helps them be more flexible, be more nimble.

Couldn't hurt. He's probably doing some other type of body exercises. I don't know if that's good. I don't know.

That's not helping, keeping him healthy. I mean, you could hurt yourself doing these things. I've heard stories, Icky. I've heard stories.

I wouldn't be surprised and looking and oblique. All I was actually swinging the bat, but swinging. Never mind.

Never mind. Hey, good luck to Giancarlo Stanton. Maybe he needs to lay off more, more yoga and less models. OK, let's just put it that way.

Anyway, we'll talk more about Chidora Sanders in about 20 minutes with Ryan Konigsberg. We'll see whether and I don't think there's no issue with him not competing or not competing. It's not a competition, not working out at the combine. Like he's projected to be one or two when it comes to the quarterbacks who are selected. There's nowhere for him to go but down. And what's the point?

Like if you feel it's that risky, it's a business. People already say, oh, well, he's not the athlete. OK, well, this is a this is a showcase for athletes. You think about what we'll see later on this week at the combine. It's going to be to, you know, hype up a Jalen Milra. Oh, my God, look how fast he is always going to be taken before that. Look, Chidora Sanders ain't beat nobody in a foot race. You know, he's not going out, throw Cam Ward. He needs to sit where he is and utilize the resources that he has that others don't.

And that's his daddy. It's as simple as that. We'll have that conversation in a bit. I did want to mention this.

We are about 24 hours away. From the Los Angeles Lakers, but more specifically. Luca Doncic. Beating the living hell out of the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers have been rolling this past Saturday.

Maybe you saw it, maybe you didn't. The Lakers or Luca finally looked like Luca. We talk about injuries. He's doing the opposite of yoga.

He's just sitting on his ass, smoking hookah and drinking beer, allegedly. But Luca Doncic had 32 points against Denver over the weekend. Lakers beat him up 123 to 100. I'm looking at this.

I'm like, yeah, this is a complete waste of my time. Luca had 32. LeBron had 25.

This is nuts. The Los Angeles Lakers are fourth in the West right now. They got a record of 34 and 21. Everybody in the West is all packed up, so no big deal. Lakers still need a big man bringing in Alex Len who can't move from left to right isn't the saving grace for the Los Angeles Lakers. But prepare yourselves.

The Dallas Mavericks visit a later more. Luca Doncic is going to have a chance and an opportunity. To light him up. This is a tough one.

Because a mass stink. I'm sorry, Anthony Davis hurt already. We know that. I got no faith in him.

Everybody's hurt. Picky, does he have he has a he has a regular good game. He doesn't just he doesn't just kill him tomorrow.

He saves that for when he's back in Dallas, I think in April. What do you think? Hmm. Yeah, that's fair.

You know, some emotions there. OK, like 20 like is like 26 and 12 is like a fair game to say for tomorrow. And then he seems like the 42, 13 and 10 for for Dallas.

And I was about six weeks or so. He goes to Dallas and he drops like 40, 50. That is that that's got to be the biggest revenge game that I can. Has there been a bigger event? I mean, outside of LeBron, remember, LeBron went back to Cleveland.

Is that really the biggest? I don't want to call revenge, but homecoming game that we've seen, you think? Yeah, right. Just because of how the trade went down, he was shocked. You never see a superstar trading biscuit in the middle of the night like that. I think it would also add to the intrigue is just the fact that it's going to be weird, where at least when LeBron returned to Cleveland the first time, it was a lot of booze, a lot of animosity towards LeBron, a lot of police, a lot of police. This it's like, I mean, this is going to be fascinating because I think most fans, they're going to be in Luka, Jersey's probably cheering him on pissed at the front office. Oh, they're going to cheer him on.

Hell yeah. It's going to be so weird. Like they'll like, it could be the loudest.

I mean, it will easily be the loudest any opponents ever received, but like probably in terms of homecoming. Here's a better question. Where does Nico Harrison watch that game? Oh God. Does he watch it? He doesn't even sit in a suite. Does he stay in the back in the office? He doesn't. Does he stay at home and watch? Where does he watch that game?

I mean, realistically stay at home. Don't even bother going in. And if you're a Patrick Dumont, their owner who got booed when he was making that trip, you know, from the, I guess the suite area to the courtside seat. I don't know if you want to be sitting, you can't be sitting courtside there and Luka makes his return after you amke the trade. He is just going to curse. He's going to have, he's going to just curse out the whole bench. That would be all mad. It's a big three coming down, pointing his finger at Dumont, pointing the finger up top wherever like Nico Harrison's watching the game. If he's in the arena.

Oh, that's bad. Every hickey, I'd be cursing them out. Every bucket, every bucket. This is going to be Hickey. This is the one game this entire NBA season. This is the one game that I want to watch.

Like April 9th Lakers in Dallas, Luka back in Dallas, every bucket. If I'm Jason Kidd, well, that's not even his coach anymore. Look at me. I made a mistake. This thing is so stupid. If I'm JJ Reddick, I'm not taking him out the game.

I'm not taking him out and I'm being facetious to a certain degree. They going to whoop they ass. I can't wait to see this game. What day of the week is this? I hope it's not the middle of the week. I'll probably be off the air by the time they get started and then lost or Dallas anyway, maybe not. Let's see.

I'm already in. Oh, OK. That's a Wednesday game. ESPN. OK, so that's good in the sense of it'll start later than whatever they schedule it. So buys you more time to get home. We'll be we'll be on air.

Hickey will be right here. It's like a 730 Eastern 730 that has to be nationally televised, right? Oh, yeah, I'm sure ESPN's got that one.

Yeah, yeah. Whatever they got next year, they'll start buying stuff from TNT. Folks at ESPN and eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. Joe is here from Florida. You're on the JR Sport Show. What's up, Joe? They are. I am.

I am so blessed to talk to you. I've heard you. I'm a retired New Yorker. Just removed to Florida and retired is not all that.

If you love what you do, don't retire. Anyway, Georgia, you're close by. Yeah, that's not too far. You're right. You're right. Anyway, I'm you know, I'm down here trying to get used to stuff.

But, you know, when it comes to the Yankees, you know, it's it's been the same for the last five plus years. Let's see what happens. See what goes on. And I got to be honest with you.

Everybody knows it. We don't know. We don't know. We're not good enough. Let's be honest. We're not the Dodgers. You're damn right. Damn right they're not the Dodgers. The Mets. Oh, man. I love the rivalry. I do love the rivalry.

I think it's good for New York. But. Oh, God. What else? What else you got? I got an interview coming up, Joe.

What else? OK, go ahead. Real quick. The Knicks. The Knicks. I love the way they play. I love the way they play.

They're not on the same class as the Celtics, Cleveland, all that. I'm hoping. I don't want to wish for injuries.

I'm hoping for a couple breaks in April. They figure it out and we get closer. We can have 20, 30 point losses. We got to be more competitive.

And God, Joe, you just said it. And this is the worst thing that nobody ever wants to root for. The only way the New York Knicks can have some success is if the Celtics have to deal with an injury. Cavaliers have to deal with an injury. It's not what anybody wants. But we know these these things happen.

They always happen on the course of the postseason. I don't want I want to beat them straight out, but I don't see it. Well, you'll be you'll be waiting another, I don't know, 10 years, OK? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But thank you. Talk to you. Pleasure to talk to you. Thank you for taking my call.

No doubt. Thank you, Joe, for calling from Florida. It's like all like all the New Yorkers is like, I'm not in New York anymore. I'm going to Florida now. Living a better life. Hickey, when are you migrating?

No time soon. I like New York. I mean, I don't like the cold weather right now, but it's like it's like six weeks. I like the weather around Christmas time, exfil Christmas.

OK, January stings, February stings, tourists. But yeah, so far I'm not moving. My feet planted right now. OK, OK, good for you. How you like them rats? You like them? I like you not know. They stay away from me. I think they're scared. Thank God the rats are afraid of you. I'm intimidating figure there. Oh, I don't know. Maybe you caught one and you scared the rest of them away.

I don't know. Send a message. Tell the rest of your buddies down there. Stay away. As long as you don't get lit on fire in the subway, I think we're good. So far, so good. So far, so good.

Let's try to keep it that way. It's the JR Sportbreeze show Coast to Coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break when we come back. It's time to talk about Chador Sanders, what we can expect in his draft stock and his attitude, because he is not going to work out at the NFL combine. He will work out at the Buffaloes Pro Day. Is he hurting himself?

Is he helping himself? What's the real deal with Chador? We'll have a conversation with Ryan Konigsberg from DNVR buffs covers all things buffaloes. It's the JR Sportbreeze show, the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze. It is the JR Sportbreeze show here with you Coast to Coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We talked about it earlier in the show.

Now it's time to talk to someone who's a little bit closer to the situation. We all know the workout portion of the NFL combine gets started this Thursday. We've got players who'll be meeting with executives and general managers earlier in the week. There's one individual amongst a few who will go ahead and have some meetings, but he will not be working out.

His name is Chador Sanders. And why do so? Not necessary. You got the, you got the pool, you got the mechanisms. You don't have to do it.

Don't risk versus reward. When it comes down to business to talk about this decision made by Chador, what this means for him going forward, what type of guy he is. And then also to talk some buffaloes as well.

Ryan Konigsberg is joining us covers all things buffaloes for DNVR with the Bust Podcast. Hey, Ryan, how are you, man? I'm doing great, man. How are you? I'm excellent.

Thank you for taking the time and joining us. No big shock to me. I don't know why there's a lot of news all over the country wise. Hit the news wire, I should say. What are your thoughts on Chador saying, what am I working out for?

I'm just going to meet with folks. Yeah, I mean, I think the reason why you're getting this reaction is because any time something happens with a Sanders, it drives clicks. So, you know, everyone's got to jump in and get their takes in and get their shots in and whatnot. But, you know, I think you said it best, like, what does he have to throw for this dude has thrown over 900 passes in college football, you know, to the last two seasons in power five. I mean, there's so much tape out there that exists of Chador Sanders. You know, if there's an evaluator out there who's waiting for him to put on some compression shorts and throw with no pass rush before they make their evaluation of him, I don't think that person's doing their job very well. So, you know, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying you would have liked to see Chador throw.

Like, I wanted to see it too, just for the fun of it, just for the entertainment aspect. But I think to act like he needed to do this or he should have done this to help his draft stock is losing the plot a little bit. Well, Ron, we saw what he did coming over from Jackson State. We saw the first year in Colorado.

We saw last year in Colorado. We see him scrambling behind the line that was improved last year. What is your evaluation of who he is? What are his strengths?

What are his weaknesses as a QB? Yeah, I think that he's legitimately one of the most pro-ready quarterbacks we've had coming into the NFL draft from a mental perspective that I can remember. You know, obviously growing up with Deion Sanders as his dad is a huge, you know, boost in that. But he takes the game so, so seriously on top of that.

I mean, he's worked with Tom Brady. He's, you know, he's done it all. And the way that he prepares was probably the first thing that stood out to me when he got to Colorado. Uh, he prepares like a pro and I covered the Broncos for a long time and, you know, saw Peyton Manning do it and then seeing Chidor and comparing that against some of the other college quarterbacks I've seen come through Colorado, uh, was really, really impressive. He does not mess around when it comes to preparation. His understanding of the game is at a really high level. And that's why I think, you know, you get him in a room with these, you know, GMs and head coaches and front office members and let him really show the way that he studied the game, the way he understands the game. And I think that's where he's going to shine the most. Is there anything that you see that he needs to improve upon?

Is there any physical elements of his game that may not be up to snuff with some of his contemporaries? That can be interesting. I mean, I think that the big one that everyone talks about is him holding onto the ball too long. And I think that there's two sides to that.

Um, one side, well, I guess there's three sides to it. One side of it is he wasn't playing behind a strong offensive line. Um, another side of it is, you know, especially in 2023, he kind of had to make everything happen for that team. And so, you know, I think there's some bad tape out there of him just trying to play hero ball, trying to make something out of nothing for a team that wasn't quite up to snuff yet from a talent perspective. Um, this last year, I think he got better in that category.

I think they got a better offensive line, but they also never had a running game to speak of. And so there's part of me that thinks, okay, that's, he's gonna have to get that out of his game. And I think that that's true. There's another part of me that thinks, okay, look, you know, what if you put them into a room that has a solid running back? What if they build a good, uh, you know, offensive line around them? Then I think a lot of that could go away, but I do think that that's one area where he's, he's not gonna be able to get away with as much as he did in college.

And I'm sure no one knows that more than him. Ryan Konigsberg is joining us, covers all things Buffalo's for DNVR buffs. What do you think is the best landing spot for him at the NFL level?

Do you think that a team will, will select them? We'll see him out of the gate. Is he going to sit down for a little while?

What do you think is the most likeliest of options? I think that he's going to play right away. And for some of the reasons that I talked about earlier, he's just so pro ready. I think he's going to come in and impress everyone immediately, uh, with his ability to take in an offense and operate within it. And I think he'll probably even have some, some influence over the offense if they have a good offensive coordinator there. Um, I like the fit with the giants. I like that, that you have a, you know, a guy who's worked with a great quarterback in Josh Allen and Brian Dabel. Um, I think you have a little something with the running back there and I love that there's a true blue stud number one superstar wide receiver that he can work with there.

Um, I think that no one, you know, funny because I'm going to go on a little bit of a rant here, but it's funny. I was at the senior bowl that Daniel Jones was at. And, um, I remember talking to him on the podium one day and he was super shaky. And then they, his agent came out and announced he's not doing any more media here.

Uh, and I actually had still have the clip I put on our podcast that night. I said, yeah, man, if I would like a giant New York giants and I saw what just happened today, I don't think I'm taking him knowing what I know about the New York media. And of course, you know, then it ended up, he goes there. I think in terms of, you know, media attention and the spotlight and all that, I don't know if there's a better quarterback, uh, to be able to understand that and embrace that than Chador.

So I think there's a lot of things that line up along with the fact that, you know, I think he's going to go early, but I liked that fit in New York. Well, Ryan, we hear so much from his dad naturally is, his dad is the mouthpiece. His dad has had the podium. His dad has garnered attention for the better part of 40 years now. Who is he?

Like who is Chador? Is he soft spoken? Is he going to let his dad do all the talking? Like what can we expect going forward here? What type of guy is he as a person?

Yeah, I'm glad you asked. Um, because I think that there, he gets a weird rap out there. People think he's this like cocky, entitled, uh, you know, silver spoon kid. And, and once you actually get to know him, it couldn't be further from the truth. And I'm excited for that to kind of shine when he gets into a new situation. And he's, you know, he's truly the face of things.

Um, he's a really humble and like down to earth kid when you talk to him, you know, a couple examples that just show where, where he comes from. Like we saw him, uh, two years ago, we had, we had a set up on radio row at the super bowl and, you know, we, we had obviously covered him through the season, but he walked into the room and we, you know, we're walking up to him kind of like, all right, let's, let's hope we can get Chador for an interview. Maybe he'll swing by our table and he's like, Oh, I'm coming to you guys for sure. Like you guys are from Boulder, you guys cover the team.

I got to come here no matter what. And one of the people that he was with was like, sure, we don't have time. And he was like, no, no, no, we'll make time for these guys.

You know, they're, they're really about it. And that's just not something I'm used to seeing, uh, from athletes like that. So that, you know, that's just one little example of kind of the way that he is, but he's a, he's a real guy.

Like he's super authentic and down to earth. Once you peel back the layers of, you know, throwing up the watch and whatever else people, you know, want to, want to look at and use against him. When you think about another prospect, Travis Hunter is, is going to be gone. What do you think is his best case scenario for the NFL draft?

You know, I'm not sure. Um, I kind of like the fit in New England. I don't know if he's going to fall that far. Um, but I like that they already have a number one corner there. Um, they've got a young quarterback that he could work with. And I, what it comes down to to me is who's going to be a coach. That's for lack of a better term, adventurous enough to let Travis Hunter be Travis Hunter. Um, and I think that there is some, some learning that Travis is going to have to do with accepting the role that the coaches want for him. But at the same time, like this guy is obsessed with playing football. And I mean that not just like in a cliche way, like he wants to be on the field for every single play. He not being on the field playing football, like drives him insane. Um, so I just think that there's gotta be wherever he lands a way that, you know, him and the coach and him and his coach can get on the same page and just find a nice happy medium there where the coach gives him a path to say, Hey, if you can accomplish this, this, and this, I'll play you. And that's what happened with coach prime. Like he told him, Hey, look, I'll let you play offense, but you have to show me that you're dominant on defense before I'm ever even willing to consider playing you on offense. And of course, Travis went out there and did it.

Uh, and the rest was history for him. But I, you know, I just, uh, what I don't want to see is him land in a place with a coach that has an old school mindset about it and just says, sorry, brother, you're a, you're a quarterback and that's what you're going to be. Uh, well, I think whoever has in there certainly be some talent, uh, wasted Ryan Konigsberg here with us from DNVR buffs. When you think about these two talents who are moving on, we we've heard about Julian Lewis at QB.

What does the future look like for the, the buffaloes with Dion with the talent that they have in like, what, what can we expect from this team? Yeah. You know, one of the things that has been kind of a, a main theme since those two guys left is the standard. It's like, Hey, look, these are, these guys left the standard here that is to be operated by, uh, not just them, some of the other seniors like cam someone, Craig, um, Shiloh Sanders as well. Like those guys worked really hard, um, and set a standard for what it looks like. And if you're a player that was on that team or a player that that was recruited by that team, you know, you look at Travis Hunter, who was a Heisman trophy winner, who is going to be a top five pick in the NFL draft.

And when people are telling you how he did it, how he went about his business, uh, how could you not adhere to that? And so a lot of these young guys who have come in are talking about that. And I think it's huge to say, Hey, we want to follow in those guys as footsteps.

We want to do everything the right way, the way that they did. Um, but for the team itself, it's, you know, you're now in year three. And one of the struggles that Travis and Chidor had was they came in to a team that was one in 11. They had to completely revamp that roster. They kind of figured out some of the holes, revamped the roster again. And now, you know, you'd love to have seen what could have happened if, if they were there all four years of their career. But now it's like the turnover and the transfer portal, uh, you know, I'm sure on a national basis, no one was talking about it this year because it wasn't some crazy number.

Oh, there's this many transfers in, there's this many transfers out. They actually have a foundation of a football team now, and they were able to just build upon it rather than trying to fill and fill and fill. So I'm excited for the future. You know, there's going to be a quarterback competition between, uh, Julian Lewis and Caden Salter, who, uh, you know, balled out at Liberty, uh, for a while there. And, uh, it's going to be exciting to see kind of where they go. But I think the, the exciting part for Colorado people is this team now actually has a real foundation of talent and the overall average talent on the team just keeps getting higher and higher, despite the fact that you are losing true, two true superstars. Well, let's see how things balance out and how Dion continues to, to roll the ship. You have an expectation he'll be around for another, I don't know, two, three, four years.

Or is that too much to ask for? I think, uh, honestly, since coach problem got here, I've just kind of taken it one year at a time. I'm, I'm, I'm very confident he'll be the coach next year. Um, and you know, I think that each year, um, there's a good chance he's coming back.

You know what I mean? Like, um, we'll see there, he's going to be mentioned with everything just like he was this year. Uh, wherever your door goes, you know, you, if you're a Colorado fan, you almost hope that they have success immediately. So it's not, oh, they're going to fire their coach and they're going to bring coach prime in like that sort of thing.

But no, I think, uh, he's really happy here. That's what I know for sure. And, uh, you know, I know they're working on getting a long-term extension done and obviously if that happens, then I think there'll be a lot more, uh, security for Colorado fans. And most definitely. Well, Ryan, thank you so much for the time and lending your expertise.

Where can people follow you and all of your work? Yeah, you can check out, uh, the DMVR buffs podcast, DMVR buffs live, on YouTube, DMVR sports, YouTube, uh, and you can follow me at Ryan Konigsberg on Twitter. Hey Ryan, thank you again for the time.

We'll catch you on down the line. Okay. All right. Anytime, man. Thank you.

No doubt about it. It's the JR sport brief show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network, Colorado, trying to have some type of baseline and basis moving into the future. And it'd be a hell of a thing if Chidora ended up with the New York giants, that'd be, uh, that'd be money. Let's see if it works on a football field.

It's the JR sport brief show on the infinity sports network. We take a break. We're going to come back, start to wrap things up. If you want to give me a holler, you can do so. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Of course, I'm going to tell you about a few things that happened this day in sports history as well. You're listening to the JR sport brief. It is the JR sport brief show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. Hey, thank you to Ryan Konigsberg for joining us to talk about Chidora Sanders, the Colorado buffaloes.

If you missed part of that conversation, go ahead and hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. We've had a busy show, talked about everything from Chidora Sanders, Giancarlo Stanton, this guy's elbows hurt, uh, got into the New York Knicks. Thank you to Christian Winfield for joining us as well from the New York daily news. The New York Knicks are good, but not good enough to do anything good enough to be good, but certainly not win a championship. We talked about Greg Popovich. Well, not surprising after suffering that stroke in November, he will not be back for the remainder of the season. We have no idea what his future is going to look like.

I would assume it's 76 years old. It's probably best to just kind of take it easy. The rest of this way, Matthew Stafford discussed his future. Apparently he wants to make $50 million in the NFL this year.

Is it going to come from the Rams? I don't know about that. There's a reason why they pretty much said, Hey, go ahead, seek a trade. See what else somebody else is going to pay you.

Yeah. Ain't nobody paying you that. And if what Ryan just told us about the New York giants, selecting Chidora Sanders, what, why the hell would an NFL team, why would a loser NFL team pay a quarterback 50 mil?

Unless you're the Jaguars and you drafted them. Okay. Uh, in a few seconds, we'll tell you about a few things that took place this day in sports history.

8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Let's talk to David calling up from Massachusetts. You're on the JR sport re show us up, David. Yeah.

AJ, I got a couple of questions. Uh, who, who won that game between the heat and I mean, uh, the warriors and the Maverick. Oh, the war.

Did you see Steph Curry telling the bench night night that the warriors won that game? And what about UConn and St. John's? Oh, well, St. John's what that ass. How bad? Oh, I don't remember the score off the top.

Well, David, you don't have access to the internet. Like you asked me about stuff from that's old. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

It was over the weekend. Yeah. Hey, how you feel about make time to go into the lion? Hold on, hold on a second. Hold, hold on a second, David. Hold on. Hold on one second. Okay.

Let's try again. Uh, David, uh, I think, I think the lions have a coach that they like in Dan Campbell. Um, I, I don't, I don't see Mike Tomlin going to Detroit.

Don't see it happen. Okay. Hey, uh, good speaking to you again, man. Take care. Well, thank you. You too, David.

Thank you for calling from Massachusetts. You got it. All right.

Thank you. What happened in that Lakers game on a Saturday night? You remember?

Uh, the Lakers won Jr. Okay. Yeah. It was down, I think.

But, oh, I think they won. All right. You know what, Hickey, since we're kind of revisiting scores from over the weekend, um, let's go, let's go further back. You think we can go back a few years? Is that okay?

I hope so. Yeah. Let's go back to a few things that took place this day in support of the Lakers. In sports history. It's time for this day in sports history. You see, back in those days radio and you couldn't see anything and it was primitive on the Jr sport brief show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass.

Yeah. Let's take a look at a few things that happened this day in sports history. It is February 24th.

The year is 2025. Let's go back to February 24th, 1967, because Wilt Chamberlain, he set an NBA record for the most makes in a game without a miss. He went 18 of 18 from the field as the 76ers beat the bullets 149 to 118. He had a stat line of 42 points, 32 rebounds. I'm giving them too many rebounds, 30 rebounds, 10 assists. Ten assists. He did it in 45 minutes. Hey, listen to these highlights.

Yeah, they're highlights from the nonstop YouTube channel. Most consecutive shots made 18 for 18, 42 points, 30 rebounds, 10 assists. Wilt led the NBA and field goal percentage in nine of his 14 seasons. And he was exceptionally efficient in 1967, the best year of his career. Over a four game stretch in February of 1967, Wilt Chamberlain could not miss making 35 consecutive shots in that span. An NBA record, the efficiency extravaganza was highlighted with an 18 out of 18 performance against the Baltimore Bullets to go along with around 30 rebounds and 10 assists. Granted, the majority of his shots were dunks and short hooks near the rim, but still not Shaq, Kareem or any other center managed to come close to 100% shooting on that number of shots. Damn, 18 of 18, damn.

That's crazy. Hey, Hickey, wasn't Wilt busy with another number? Didn't he say he slept with...

I don't want to sell him short. Is he like Bonnie Blue here? Who the heck is that? Wait, wait, wait. Is that the lady that got pregnant? Well, no, the hoax. But yes, but she's the one who slept with 1,057 men in, was it a day? What?

They stopped the music. You said she did what? Yeah, she got famous on OnlyFans because she slept with 1,057 men, I believe in, I think it was a 24 hour period.

Oh, come on. This was live on the internet? So that part I do not know. What was visible, what was not, what constitutes as having sex.

I mean, that just seems like... Did she have to go to the... Nevermind. I don't know. Wilt Chamberlain, he said he slept with 10,000 people, right? Oh my God.

So he blows Bonnie Blue right out of the water. Holy... That's what he said, right? I don't know.

Magic Johnson look. Wow. Wow. Anyway, we got something else that took place this day in history, right? Yes, we did.

Okay. Yeah, we did. February 24th, 1980, we saw the Miracle on Ice well, two days prior, but the USA, forget Russia, they beat Finland to win the gold. They officially won the gold medal at the Olympics.

Take a listen. This is courtesy of ABC. Getting out in front, backhands it, swept aside in front. Johnson to McClellan, and he scores.

Insane at the moment. Bedlam in here, stomping. Five seconds to the gold medal, four to the gold medal.

This impossible dream comes true. Okay. All right. There you go. A few things that happened this day in sports history.

I'm sorry to short, Wilt Chamberlain. Hickey, it was 20,000 women. Oh my. That's what he said.

How is that? I mean, that's just... Chamberlain made this claim in a book released in 91. If the claim is true, that means he slept with about 512 women each year, or 1.4 women per night.

Wow. Then dropped a hundred points. That's easy to do, right? One, you know, you know, one night you have... One and a half? Ten? You know, you... Ten? In one night?

Sharing? I don't know. Wow. I can't do it.

Not me. Quite the... Feet?

Multitasker there. And what day in sports history do we get Wilt Chamberlain's numbers? That's a great question.

Not the rebounds and the points. When do we get to that? I guess every day in theory then, right? If he's that busy. Every day should be a celebration. This day in sports history, Wilt Chamberlain slept with three women?

I don't know. He slept with 13 women, and then went out and dropped 20 and 10. And Joe Lindby should be ashamed of himself. He should be, man, you can't even... You can't even lace up your shoes, man. Look at Wilt Chamberlain. He's working both ends of the court. Come on, man.

What a guy. They don't make them like they used to, huh? They don't. Maybe that's why... Never mind. Because if that was the case, Zion would be... He'd be healthy, but he's not.

So that kind of throws that out the window right away. Hickey, what is this? Is this TGL golf stuff? People watch this? I got it on in the studio. People watch this?

I don't know. I have it on here in the studio as well, just to kind of show you there's not much going on today in terms of national broadcasts. Yeah, I don't know who watches it. Watching professional golfers play on a simulator is not exactly as thrilling as it would sound. I think there's a reason why people watch people stream is because they have personalities, right? I don't want to watch anybody play a game that I'm not participating in, but I think a part of people watching anything is the commentary and how that comes across on television with pro golfers.

I don't think it does. Good luck to them. Yeah, golf. Good luck for them.

I'd rather watch real golf. Anyway, thank you to everybody who tuned in and locked in today. Thank you to Christian Winfield for joining us, Ryan Konigsberg to talk about the Knicks and the Buffaloes, respectively.

If you missed any second of those conversations, you can go ahead and hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. We'll be back tomorrow at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. You want me? You want to find me? I'm JR Sportbrief everywhere.
