And if you got a smart speaker, ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. We got a lot of news today. Aaron Glenn hired as the new head coach of the New York Jets.

I shake my head for him. Damn. We got Trent Baalke fired as the general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars. They fired the coach on January 6th and they fired the GM on the 22nd, realizing that nobody wants to coach the team with that guy there. Shame. How about this? Minutes ago, about 30 minutes ago, we learned that Jimmy Butler has been suspended again by the Miami Heat.

Jimmy Butler not showing up to work and then he got suspended. You don't have to worry about that here. We are at work. A matter of fact, next hour to talk about the disaster that is the Jacksonville Jaguars, we're going to have a chat with Gene Fournette from the Florida Times Union. And of course it is Wednesday.

You know what the hell that means. Every single Wednesday, I bring you a new top six list. Today will be no different. We're going to go ahead. We had the Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday. At least we found out who's getting in. Cece Sabathia, Ichiro Suzuki, Billy Wagner.

We're going to go the other way. For tonight's top six list, I'm going to tell you the top six major league baseball players ever that are not in the Hall of Fame. Who is not in the Hall of Fame? And they were a great player.

Who are the best six players in Major League Baseball to not get in the hall? That top six list is coming your way in two hours from now. Thank you to everybody tuned in and locked in on our live stream. You can go ahead and check out the live stream on YouTube. Just go ahead and check out the Infinity Sports Network on YouTube.

And boom, you can sit down and watch me live. Don't do it if you're in the car. Don't do it if you're going to get fired at work.

Don't do it if you need to keep your eyes on the road. OK, but you can watch the stream if you can on YouTube. Just go ahead and check out the Infinity Sports Network. And if you want to call, you could do that, too. We got a phone number. It works.

Our bills have been paid. The phone number here is eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. You can also find me on the Internet saying wild and crazy things at times. Not arguing with other people. I'm at J.R. Sportbrief.

That is at J.R. Sportbrief. Hecky, how you doing, man? You good? I'm good.

Yeah. Still cold, but otherwise doing good. I think a lot of people all over the country are cold. You know, I was talking about people arguing all day. I feel like since this morning I'm looking at Ichiro stuff and Jimmy Butler news, the Jags and the Jets. There's a lot going on. I see Ryan Clark and Marcellus Wiley. These guys have been arguing. Maybe I don't know what they're doing just all day long, all day. I saw a little bit of it.

And then I'll be honest, I wasn't intrigued enough, I guess, to dive into it. What's the genesis? I don't know. Marcellus Wiley thinks that Ryan Clark is race baiting between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. And they're going back and forth. And I just I'm like, man, just I don't know. It feels like high school stuff to me.

It's just me. I get it. You want to defend yourself, but I don't even know Ryan Clark. He's ignoring. But now I don't know. None of my business. None of my business.

None. That's a lot. Yeah. I'm just going to leave that for for those two.

They can, I guess, fight over. This is not the first time Ryan Clark I think has gotten in a fight basically on social media where now I see text message receipts. This is Elon Musk's app full of positivity, full of positivity. That's what he wanted, right?

This is why he created and bought the app for, was it forty four billion dollars for those interactions right there. World peace. Absolutely. World peace.

Lots going on. But, you know, let's get this the hell up on out the way right before we got on air. I'm not going to say I almost fell out of my chair. I did not almost fall out of my chair. Hickey, you be happy, you know, at this point, I'm actually well, you can tell on the stream I'm sitting down, not standing for now. I realize you are alive after questioning that last night, leaving the show.

So, so far, two for two. Oh, I am alive. Oh, yeah. I didn't bust my ass on ice. I lived now.

I almost did fall again going home. Oh, geez. Hickey, I was tempted to send you photos of like the car that crashed into the what do you call it, a bush outside the studio. I was tempted to send you that. I was tempted to send you the photos of the street and the sidewalk, both blanketed in icy snow.

But I said, I don't need to annoy Hickey. I leave him alone. I want to see the picture of the guy with a leaf blower out there moving the snow.

That's what I really want to see. He was eyeing me like, oh, man, this idiot is going to take a photo of me. I'm just doing my job. I left the guy alone. But I did.

I made it to work. Unlike Jimmy Butler, as I just mentioned, a minute ago, right before we got on air, we found out that the Miami Heat are suspending Jimmy Butler another two games for missing the team playing. You can't make this stuff up. OK, the man just came off of a seven game suspension, conduct detrimental to the team. We know that the guy doesn't play. And when he came back from playing, he was just he was he was a wallflower.

He's standing in a corner. He's not doing anything. This man is supposed to make 48 million dollars this year. He has a 52 million dollar option for next year. The Phoenix Suns are trying to clear out space and trade draft picks to acquire him. Bradley Beal needs to waive his no trade clause. Jimmy Butler last night is wearing kicks and sneakers and Phoenix Suns colors. And I just got to be honest, I don't I don't got no problem with Jimmy Butler.

I just feel like at this point and it has been. I get it. You all about your money.

You want to get your cash. You don't necessarily work for the fans, although the money generated is a byproduct of the fans interest. It's disrespectful to the fans, man. People are paying their hard earned money to watch you play basketball and you're showing up and wearing some another team's colors that you want to go to. Like at what point do you say, you know, I got all this money here because I work hard, but you got all this money because people want to sit down and watch you.

If nobody watched you, you wouldn't have this cash. And so I'm not mad at Pat Riley in the off season for saying, man, you not playing. Shut up. Shut your mouth. I'm not mad at them for suspending him.

Now, here's the crazy part. In the NBA, you know, the people who make the most money. The players. Players have the power. The players can move around. The players can dictate where they want to go and what they don't want to do. And Jimmy Butler knows he's going to get paid regardless.

So he can sit out games and be lazy. He can tell the whole world that he doesn't have joy making his 48 million dollars a year playing in Miami. I want to find joy in, I don't know, Phoenix playing basketball with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Oh, woe is me. We got people busting their ass out here. He needs a reality check.

Talking about joy. Man, give me 48 million dollars to go stand in the corner and shoot a three and then miss it. Give me that money. Give me that 48. I can be Jimmy Butler.

Come on, man. Jimmy Butler can't do my job. He can't. He could wear funny hairstyles on media day. He can miss the team playing.

He could push buttons. I'm just not a fan. This is one of the most embarrassing things I want to say that an NBA player has done. I feel in a long time. I'm not going to put him in the John Moran.

I'm going to bust my guns at the strip club category. But this is embarrassing. This is terrible. They have some type of respect, not just for yourself, but for the fans. And maybe the fans in Miami, maybe NBA fans are so jaded, they're so used to the comings and goings.

It really doesn't matter at this point. But have some respect for where the hell the money is coming from. And that's the fans. Could you imagine if we had more players acting like this? And we've had players that try to push their way out. They want to be traded. James Harden notoriously disrespected his Houston Rockets teammates and is like, man, we ain't good enough to win.

I need to get out of here. The man said that at a press conference. Not in those exact words, but he said that.

That's awful. Money comes from the fans, comes from the fans, their eyeballs, their clicks, their scrolls. Have some respect for where the money comes from. You know, I don't got no problem personally with Jimmy Butler. I've interacted with the guy once on the red carpet. I ain't got no problem with the guy.

But I'll tell you this. If he goes to Phoenix and I actually like Kevin Durant, I got no problem with him. I know people want to beef with him with the Twitter fingers and all of this. And I got no problem with him. I got no problem with Devin Booker. Devin Booker I've never met. Durant I've met.

Very nice guy. If Jimmy Butler goes to the Phoenix Suns. Yeah, I guess they'll be interesting. I guess they'll be a team to take note of even though I don't think they'll have depth. I hope they lose because Jimmy Butler is probably going to get his money. Jimmy Butler is probably going to get his contract extension. But I hope they suck.

This man is looking for joy. I guess they only find joy in a contract extension. Win or lose. But when it comes to actually hoisting a championship, I hope Jimmy Butler doesn't win one ever. This man is 35 years old and he's acting like a complete jackass to get his money instead of earning it like everybody else. The Miami Heat don't have to pay you for what you've done in the past.

They've done that already. And who the hell wants to pay a 35, 36 and 37 year old who already doesn't show up to play games in the regular season? Jimmy Butler, a solid basketball player. He's been a great basketball player when he actually shows up. And if he shows up for the Phoenix Suns, well, he'll get paid.

But I can find some joy and then maybe stinking to join up. At least I showed up to work. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Hickey, well, I wish they just I wish they could trade him to Siberia, but that's not possible. I know. And that's a frustrating part because I'd love to see him go to Charlotte, go to even the Nets.

Oh my god. Just some of these teams that are going nowhere that are not in big markets where he can just kind of rot and really see how bad it is. Just frustrating because like you said with the contract situation where he can just kind of opt out and these teams that trade for him get nothing back after this season.

He's gonna, I haven't talked about what, a month ago now? He's going to get his way, which is manning at the end of it. He's going to get what he wants, but this is just I'm with you. This is embarrassing at this point.

This is flat out embarrassing. He wants his money. He's likely going to get his money from Phoenix.

And that's just the way it is. The Miami Heat suspend Jimmy Butler two games. The guy missed it. He last night he's wearing the Phoenix Suns colors on his feet.

And then today he misses the team playing. What a, what a, what a massive coincidence. Okay. Anyway, it's the JR sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, we're going to talk about, we're going to talk about someone who you do not have to worry about is showing up to work. This man got a new job. He's going to put on a suit at his introductory press conference. He's going to tell everybody how good it feels to be home and how, how he looks forward to turning his new team around. I'm talking about the newest coach of the New York jets. His name is Aaron Glenn. Pray for this man ahead of time. We'll talk about Aaron Glenn. Get into Trent bulky. I told you in a couple of hours, we're going to have a new top six.

Let's take a look at the best major league baseball players, the top six baseball players to not be in a hall of fame. We have so much to do. We'll talk about the terrible Jaguars and the Raiders have a GM.

There's a lot to get into. Ben Johnson introduced today, formerly as the head coach of the Chicago Bears. So we're busy here and I'm here to have fun. It's the JR sport re-show coast to coast on the infinity sports network. You're listening to the JR sport brief. It is the JR sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the infinity sports network. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. I told you before the break, Jimmy Butler suspended again by the Miami heat this time for two games, not seven. Missed the team playing. They're like, man, don't even bother making a trip. He was going to make the trip. They said, man, stay your ass on. We don't want you here. Jimmy Butler doesn't want the heat.

The Miami heat do not want him. You didn't show up to work. That's one surefire way for the most part to go ahead and get the boot. As someone who you don't have to worry about skipping out on work is someone who just got himself a new job. You got a new job. What do you want to do? You're going to be well-dressed.

You want to make a great impression, especially if you're familiar with where the hell you've been. That is the case for the latest coach. Damn it. The ninth coach that the New York Jets have hired under old Band-Aid man, Woody Johnson, Aaron Glenn, no longer defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions. He's the latest victim.

Excuse me. He's the latest head coach of the New York Jets. Yeah, the New York Jets who just fired Rob Salah in the middle of the season. I can't even say middle at the early part of the season, the same New York Jets that just fired their general manager, Joe Douglas in the season, the same New York Jets that have a 40, 41 year old Aaron Rodgers on the back end of his career, the same New York Jets that went five and 12, the same New York Jets who had to answer rumors that their owner was taking advice about roster decisions.

He's getting advice from his teenage son. Yep, those New York Jets hired Aaron Glenn who had success with the Lions. And I remember when Aaron Glenn played for the New York Jets as a defensive back. I remember him on the AFC championship team or AFC title team.

Excuse me. I can't even call him that. Picky, what do you call the team that went but they lost? That's the Jets. Finalist is like the nice way to put it.

AFC title. He had a team that almost went to the Super Bowl. I remember him. Vinny Tester Verde had Victor Green on the other side. I remember Aaron Glenn.

I watched the guy play. I love them. I love the Jets. I'll be honest about them. They have sucked to high hell and heaven. They are terrible.

They're disastrous. I find joy in making fun of them. That makes me happy. I can't find joy in rooting for them.

That doesn't net me anything. And so on one hand, I'm thrilled for Aaron Glenn. This man is going to get a pay raise. This man played for the New York Jets. It's been played, I mean, 15 years in the NFL.

This guy was a scout. He was with the Jets. He was with the Saints.

He was defensive coordinator with the Lions for the past several years. We see what the Lions have done, right? Gotten real close to the Super Bowl. Every year they've gotten better.

Last year, 24 takeaways, the most takeaways that the Detroit Lions have ever had in their history. And so now Aaron Glenn gets his chance. He gets a shot. He gets his opportunity.

I'm happy for him because he quote unquote gets a chance to go home, go back to the team where he started his career. And Aaron Glenn has made it very clear, even from earlier, we talked about this last night. Hey, just because I'm a defensive coordinator, that does not mean I don't not I don't understand offense.

Listen to this man. Here's the one thing that I would say about myself. I'm a coach. I just happen to be on defense.

I understand often it's just as well as a number of people. So if you want to hire me, you can hire a coach. You're not going to hire a defensive coach. I'm going to talk to the offense just as much. I'm going to talk to the defense. Then he already sounds like he sounds like he will punch a play in the face. Very stern.

Because we were going to dang close to the by anyone's kneecaps off. I guess that kind of, if anything, has to be a prerequisite to work for Dan. You think they were throwing hands in an office?

Probably not. Probably not, because Aaron does seem smart enough to realize that if you fight Dan Campbell, you're not going to win. Yeah, Dan Campbell is a complete nut.

Aaron Glenn, you listen to the man. He commands respect. You want to pay attention when he speaks. There's an art to getting your point. There's an art to getting your point across. And he seems like he knows exactly how to do it.

I mean, let's take this from back in 2022. He was on a pivot podcast, speaking of Ryan Clark. And he talked about how he got into coaching.

Listen to this. And I scouted in-house scout with the Jets a couple of years. Then I went on the road.

I was driving for hours, right? College scouting. Then I went right to being assistant DB coach. I did my QC thing because I want to make sure I didn't miss one step. I want to start from the bottom.

I told everybody I was there. Don't treat me any different than anybody else, right? Because I want to understand everything there is about the scouting process. I want to know everything about being a QC. I want to know everything about being an assistant coach, all right? To a lead DB coach, to a defense quarterback right now, right? And I'm hoping to be a head coach at some point.

So I didn't want to miss one step. You can't tell me that I haven't seen it. Just like with a player. Well, he is now a head coach. He's the head coach of the Jets.

Congratulations to Aaron Glenn. This man gets a pay raise. He has the opportunity to run his own team. This man gets to return to the organization where he started his career. It sounds great.

It sounds like a Cinderella story. Aaron Glenn is going to wear his best suit. He's going to have his family there, I'm sure.

This is amazing. There's only 32 jobs available in the NFL where you're the head coach and he has one of them. This man has been a part of the NFL since 1994. And today he's named the head coach of the New York Jets. I'm happy for him.

I'm thrilled. But just like every coaching job in professional sports, there's some downfalls. There's some pitfalls. You can have success, but if you ain't winning, you get in the boot. Good for him. The New York Jets gave him a five year contract. Now, what are the odds that he sees this all the way through? Nobody knows, but I know he's going to get paid for five years. Congratulations.

Here's the downside. It's for the New York Jets. OK, I told you about firing head coach Salah and then firing Joe Douglas and then Aaron Rodgers watching whatever the football corpse of him is left for the New York Jets.

Misery loves company. And then you got the owner, Woody Johnson. I told you he was reportedly getting advice from his teenage son who is probably using Madden ratings to evaluate players. Allegedly, reportedly. Woody Johnson, of course, says, no, this is this is not the truth.

That's a lie. What is he going to do? Admit it? He's going to say, yeah, we didn't sign this wide receiver because he had a Madden rating of seventy seven.

He's going to admit that. But when you're the New York Jets, these are the type of questions that you have to answer. We got the Kansas City Chiefs trying to win their third consecutive Super Bowl. I don't hear no damn nonsense about, well, we didn't sign Hollywood Brown. Well, we signed him because his Madden ratings were through the roof.

That speed rating was terrific. Only the Jets are a joke of a franchise, and here's the most important part. Although the New York Jets now have a head coach in Aaron Glenn, you want to know what they don't have? They don't have a general manager.

I don't care if they bring in Lance Newmark, they don't have one today. The New York Jets don't have a long term plan at quarterback. Aaron Rodgers could be gone in a month. He could be gone in two months. I don't know if he'll be back next year, but eventually his ass got to go.

And here's one thing we understand and know. The New York Jets the New York Jets still have an owner who can't get the hell up on out his way in Woody Johnson. And I'm supposed to feel good about the hiring of Aaron Glenn. I'm happy for him. But I'm not going to be excited until the New York Jets actually have a structure and future in front of them.

And we talked about this yesterday and it's brought up quite frequently. If you don't have a quarterback running your team, you're done. You're cooked. You're finished.

I don't care. I think it was last night, two nights ago, we talked about Lovey Smith going to the Super Bowl. Tony Dungy, two black coaches going to the Super Bowl. We got the Bears and the Colts. Rex Grossman was the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

This man's touchdown to interception ratio on a Super Bowl contending team, which, by the way, had a solid offense, a very good offense, a top scoring offense because of the running game. You can't do that in 2025. You can't throw a Rex Grossman out there. You can't throw a Rob Johnson out there. You can't throw a Hickey or J.R. out there with a great defense and expect to win.

It doesn't work that way. Look at the teams that are right now competing for a championship the four teams that are left. We have an amazing rookie and Jaden Daniels with Washington. This man could he does have the opportunity to be the first rookie quarterback to start in the Super Bowl. Josh Allen has improved every year he's been in the league. He's been a perennial MVP candidate this year.

He might win it, maybe. So I even have to tell you about Patrick Mahomes and what he's doing. And he had jailing hurts. I know he's running around on a bad wheel. He helped take a team to the Super Bowl before and he's back. I know they're relying on Saquon Barkley, but if he was an ass quarterback, they wouldn't be here. The Eagles wouldn't know. You need a quarterback if you want to have success.

And so, yeah, I'm happy. I'm OK. That Aaron Glenn was hired by the Jets, a first year coach, whoop dee doo. They're going to need a quarterback. And until they have a quarterback, not named Tyra Taylor, not named Aaron Rodgers, until the New York Jets have a QB that maybe they can find by accident to be the franchise guy for the next, I don't know how many years. It doesn't matter who the head coach is, they're cooked.

They're done. Aaron Glenn, enjoy every check. Buy a new house in Jersey, put some away, put your kids in college, do it.

Hey, put your kids in college, do whatever the check is going to be nice. But the football is going to be tough. Mark Sanchez. Zach Wilson. Sam.

Donald. I shudder. The New York Jets haven't made the postseason in 14 years, 14 years. They haven't got to the playoffs by accident. And that's not just an NFL active streak. And North American professional sports. OK. NHL. NBA. MLB. NFL. The New York Jets have the longest streak of not knowing what the playoffs are. Good luck to Aaron Glenn. And better luck to the jet fans. Y'all will be nothing, absolutely nothing until you get a QB.

And it's hard when your owner. He's more interested in being the ambassador to the United Kingdom. Oh, yes. Somebody took that job the second go around. It's the J.R. sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network, 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, you thought the Jets were a disaster. At least someone took their head coaching job. The Jacksonville Jaguars can't find somebody on the street to actually take their opening. The Jacksonville Jaguars had to fire somebody else just to make their organization more attractive. Jacksonville Jaguars. I mean, today, this minute, like right now, it's comical. They are worse than the Jets. I'll explain how on the other side of the break, 855-212-4227. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief.

It is the J.R. sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Yeah, you shouldn't agree with anybody 100% of the time. That's a terrible take in and of itself. You got to have your own damn opinions. You got to think for yourself. You got to learn how to look and analyze facts and information and come to an educated conclusion.

Don't rely on any one person to just believe in anything. Disagree with somebody. It's good. It's healthy. It's also healthy to understand how to have discourse and a back and forth and a difference of opinions and share thoughts that that's also healthy. Don't agree with me all the time. Don't don't do that at all. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. You talked about Aaron Glenn being named the new head coach of the New York Jets. They don't have a general manager. They don't have a long term answer at the quarterback position. And they have a wacky owner. We talked about Jimmy Butler.

Jimmy Butler suspended again by the Miami Heat, a two game suspension for missing the team plane earlier today. The two issues of dysfunction, the New York Jets, the Miami Heat. And I didn't even get to the Jacksonville Jaguars yet. I'm going to tell you how dysfunctional they are in a second. Let's get to the phone lines first. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Let's hit the phones and talk to Marty from Westchester. Marty, you're on the JR Sport Brief Show here on the Infinity Sports Network.

Good evening, JR. Yes, I'd like to comment on the Aaron Glenn hire. Best of luck to him.

Like you said, he's going to be fighting in a pro battle with this football team. A lot to straighten out. They say Rome wasn't built in a day. Last year the defense was just horrible, especially in the fourth quarter.

They would fall apart at the seams. And the big, big question mark is at quarterback, like you said. I don't know what the Jets do. Let's assume that Rogers moves on elsewhere. If he retires or moves on to another team, they're drafting number seven. So they're probably going to have to look for what they call now a bridge quarterback, a veteran.

And then unless they move up in the draft, which I don't know if they're going to do that, they'll probably have to look at a quarterback in the second, third round. This is going to take time. Yeah, absolutely. I agree with you a million percent, Marty.

Thank you so much for calling from Westchester. I agree. If I'm the New York Jets, I'm not even thinking about bringing in a quarterback in the draft, not getting one where they select at number seven. I'm not going to get my hands on a quarterback until what, the end of the first round?

Maybe you trade back. If you're the New York Jets, you end up with one in the second, another developmental quarterback. They still have Travis, who they got from Florida State, who's been dealing or coming off of that leg injury. This is a lost year. This is going to be a building year for the New York Jets. There's no being competitive. There's no Super Bowl. There's no let's make the playoffs. Maybe they can get lucky and that can happen.

I'm not banking on that. This is a transitional year, regardless of what happens. Aaron Glenn is a first year head coach. They're likely going to end up with a first time general manager. This is a bridge year.

Throw it out the window. Hopefully there's growth. 855-212-4227. Greg is calling from Michigan. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. Hey, JR, Mr.

Positive. Hey, I got to tell you, the Lions are losing all their coordinators. Defensive, offensive, people behind Johnson and Glenn.

Unbelievable, JR. We're in a world of hurt. Hopefully, Holmes and Campbell can make something of it. But I got to ask you, my friend, I'm nervous. How do you think my bills with Josh Elvis Allen, can they beat the Kansas City Chiefs?

What do they have to do? Oh, well, Greg, we're going to talk about that tomorrow and Friday. Okay. Very good, my friend. Love you.

Everybody go for your dreams. Thank you, JR. Thank you, Greg. Thank you, Greg, for calling from Michigan.

Okay. Greg is just like, well, what do we have to do to, you know, beat? Well, that's a crazy question, first of all, Greg. Can the Buffalo Bills beat the Kansas City Chiefs? Can they do it? Of course they can. Like, what type of question is that? Like, they play football.

This is why they're out there. And I'll tell you over the next couple of days what I think will happen. Yeah, we've had a lot of talk. We can look at Josh Allen never beating Patrick Mahomes in the postseason. We can do that. And we can go ahead and look at how Josh Allen is performing now. We can do all of that.

Don't, don't, don't. Well, we'll get into that tomorrow. Let's get back to what he said. He said that the lines, and we knew this was going to happen, the Detroit Lions are currently losing their offensive coordinator. They lost their offensive coordinator. They lost their defensive coordinator and Aaron Glenn. Ben Johnson is on his way to Chicago. Aaron Glenn is on his way to the New York Jets.

Ben Johnson spoke to the media today. He's certainly ready to go. You just heard it from Rich Ackerman in the news.

It's like, oh yeah, I'm excited for this place. And I had some news and I'm excited. I saw people online and I cannot believe this. There were fans on social media.

What a shock. Hickey, people were saying that Ben Johnson is almost like a traitor. Like, like he was plotting this and knew that he was leaving for months, that he didn't prepare properly for their game over the weekend against Washington. And I'm saying to myself, are these fans smoking crack?

Like what, what is wrong with some of these people? Delusional. And you're just trying to, you know what it is, just being unrealistic of, of what went wrong. They scored 31 points. The Lions offense did. Ben Johnson was the one throwing picks, you know, outside of that one ill-advised Jamison Williams pass that still may leave that one on the cutting room floor. Outside of that, I thought he called almost a perfect game.

Yeah, I don't know. Fans were like, oh, if he was focused in on the job at hand in the football game, instead of interviewing and oh, two days later after the season ends and our heartbreaking loss, he already has a job. Oh, I mean, come on. Listen, it's one thing to be disappointed. And this is for all the Lions fans.

This is for any fans that's mad about anything. Get it together. Stop being so damn soft. The season is over. This season is done.

And he has a once in a lifetime job opportunity. Stop acting like a bunch of miserable punks. Get over it.

Y'all lost. It stings. It's terrible. It hurts. But to say Ben Johnson wasn't focused on the task at hand, man, you just don't know how life works. Being miserable out here. Come on.

I mean, even this, how about this? Let's hear from a Lions player, a Monroe St. Brown, wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, an all pro Pro Bowl of this, one of the best wide outs in the game. He ain't going with Ben Johnson to Chicago.

I'm sure Caleb Williams would like that. And he was certainly there at the press conference today in a, a nice leather. They called him Neo from the matrix.

He had a big old leather jacket on. A Monroe St. Brown was talking to his brother on their St. Brown podcast. And he said that he is already heard from Ben Johnson. And they playfully said that they're just going to go back and forth and beat the hell out of each other.

Listen to this. I told him, I said for two times a year, Ben, we're going to you up. He goes, okay, we'll see. I told him, I know all the plays he likes to run. I know all his tendencies, but we're just going back and forth messing around, but it's funny.

He's like, I want to, if I want to be the best, I got to beat the best. Right. Damn. No, I love Ben, man. I'm happy for him. Happy for his family.

Well, how about that? The guy who actually worked with him, the guy who actually played for him is happy for Ben Johnson, but you have a segment of the Lions fan base that are angry at him for not focusing in on his job, for blaming him, for costing the Lions of victory. A boo-hoo. This is, this is kind of like you give somebody a little taste of success and they don't know how to act. They don't remember where the hell they been. If you're a fan of the Detroit Lions, this came out of the mouth of your head coach, Dan Campbell said, a guy like Ben Johnson, a guy like Aaron Glenn, they helped take us out. They helped us out. They helped us out. They helped take us out of the dumps. Y'all went in the toilet.

Y'all had success. You went on to the great thing about success is blooms. Hickey, listen to how prophetic and how beautiful this is going to be. Hickey, if I show you a plot of dirt, you're going to look at it and go, well, JR, that's this dirt, right? Hickey, what if a flower blooms, right? You get one flower that blooms out of the dirt and you go, oh, that's beautiful. And the flower starts sprouting and it's beautiful and it has petals. And then Hickey, you want to know what happens, what might happen next if the flower is successful and it's blooming and it's beautiful. You want to know what happens after that, Hickey? I do. What happens? No, you want, you want me to tell you? Oh, sorry, you were asking, okay, pollination, more flowers start to sprout? Yeah, there you go. Yes.

It's beautiful. Man, we got all these idiots all day. They want to talk about a coaching tree. Look at Belichick's coaching tree. Look at Bill Walsh's coaching tree. Everybody wants to talk about a coaching tree.

This is what happens when you have success. And so if you're a Lions fan, would you rather have success and trust that the head coach can bring in another coordinator on offense, another coordinator on defense, or do you just want to be dirt? Come on now. Do you want to be dirt or do you want to grow flowers?

Hickey, which one? Do you want to be dirty? You want to grow flowers, grow flowers?

Yeah. Nobody wants to be dirt. And I think about it. Hickey, you know who, you know, you know who is dirt though? Oh, we can go in a lot of directions here.

Who? Oh, well, what are you thinking? I mean, I got a lot of, a lot of people in the brain. Oh, people.

Oh my God. Oh, you're saying things or franchises. Yeah. I was thinking about teams.

You went right to people. Oh, I was thinking teams too. Definitely. Yeah.

Okay. Well, you know what, before we talk about the teams that are dirt, you know, this Greg from Michigan, he did, he did ask about the Buffalo Bills. It was something so beautiful today that the fans in Buffalo did for Mark Andrews. I can't, I can't believe it. The Buffalo Bills fans, they strike again.

Listen to this from WIVB before. This is what the Bills did for Mark Andrews. After the Bills beat the Ravens in the playoffs on Sunday, a fan started a GoFundMe benefiting a charity near and dear to Ravens tight end Mark Andrews, who couldn't haul in a game tying pass late in the fourth quarter.

The charity benefits those with type one diabetes, including Andrews. By Wednesday, the fundraiser had received more than $75,000, blowing away the college student who organized it. We chatted with Kenesha sophomore, Nicholas Howard, who hopes the fundraiser will inspire more fans to show love. So I went to the game Sunday night with my dad actually.

And I was very happy, of course. But the morning after, I mean, I'm all over social media, and I have an Instagram page called the Buffalo Brief. And I just saw all the distasteful comments towards Mark Andrews and everything. And it just reminded me of what Bill's mafia does. And usually they would go up and start a fundraiser and support him out just to show that we have his back. Man, Buffalo Bills fans, they, they're always supporting somebody. Good for them.

There's your positivity for the show. Mark Andrews drops a pass against the opposing team. The opposing team's fans go, y'all are mistreating him. Mark Andrews gets a crap ton of money for his foundation. Shout outs to the Buffalo Bills fans, always looking out for themselves and damn it, other communities. JR needs money too.

Send me some money. Morgan State University. It's the JR Sportbreeze show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. When we come back, we're going to talk about another NFL team that is straight dirt. It's the JR Sportbreeze show, the Infinity Sports Network. Don't move.
