Meanwhile, college quarterback Quinn Ewers has announced his decision to enter the NFL draft, and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is seeking a head coach for the Chicago Bears, showcasing his strong opinions on leadership qualities.

I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm being joined by super producer and host Ryan Hickey. Ryan, how are you, man? Good, JR. Welcome back. Welcome back.

They were not kidding when they said the Atlanta Ice is different, huh? Listen, man, what are the odds? I've been driving not my whole life. You know, I wasn't a toddler driving a car, but I've been driving my whole life where I've been eligible to drive. And I drive in the snow and ice here and it ripped up the bottom of my car. Hickey, it ripped my car up. Jeez. And I didn't even know it until I got in my car yesterday.

And I'm like, what is all this scraping and scratching? And it just what are the odds? I got drove in New York my whole life. You know what issues I've had in New York, Hickey? Zero, none.

And a lot more obstacles, potholes, ice, people, potholes, people, more people. Now, I will say, did I admit this on the radio with you before I hit a person in New York? Did I ever tell you? Yeah, I hit a person crossing the street.

I did it. An accident or? Let's just say, what? I'm being honest. You want me to tell a lie on the radio?

No, I appreciate the honesty. Nobody died. There was no, no, I'm not going to get hit with a Hickey or a manslaughter, nothing.

Nothing's going to happen to me. That's why I'm admitting it here on the radio. I hit a guy. Hickey, I was turning onto the West Side Highway a long time ago. And someone, you know, the West Side Highway is right up against neighborhoods, especially in the village. Like you go from a neighborhood and boom, highway, right?

Right. And so I'm turning onto the highway and it's raining outside and I'm making a right onto the highway. And an individual was crossing the street and I'm already moving Hickey and I get it.

It's raining. You want to yield for pedestrians in New York. That doesn't exist in Georgia. I would have stopped in New York. It's who's first me or you. There's no yield for pedestrians for people listening all over the country.

New York don't work that way. And so Hickey, I was already turning and I guess this individual assumed that, hey, it's raining. I got an umbrella. I can just jump in front of JR's car.

Hickey, I ain't slow down. I, I got the back of their leg. Like they went past me, but I got the back of their leg and I got on the highway and kept going and nothing happened to them. They were fine. They were perfectly fine. I looked, I hit and run. No, I did. I didn't run. They were fine. He's limping around.

No, no, no, no, no. It was a nudge. It was a nudge to the, the leg.

It's like, yo, yeah, yeah. And they kept walking. They were fine. Hickey, I drove, I turned the corner slow enough. The person didn't even like turn to curse me out or be angry. They didn't care because they were fine.

If that is not the perfect encapsulation of what it's like to live and drive in New York City, nothing, nothing else compares. That's perfect. I hit a person. Person was not angry. They could have been. Now, if it was a sunny day and it was 85 degrees, then yeah, they would have given me a piece of their mind and I would have stopped, but they would be in a jerk. They saw me turning. They still said, I'm going to walk in front of this car. They're going to stop for me.

And no, I didn't. I hit them and I kept going. Nudge, nudge them, nudge. The good news is you did this so long ago, like before, like insurance fraud is a thing. And like now like with cameras everywhere, you can get paid for getting hit. Like if that was today and the same nudge happened, that person's on the ground rolling around.

My leg is broken. I'm going to sue you. It's probably on camera somewhere. Yeah. This predates dash cam cameras and all of this stuff. So I'm good. That's why I can tell the story on the radio now, because ain't nobody going to sue me.

What a start to the show. What am I going to, is somebody going to, am I going to get video or hitting somebody 15 years ago? Like cut it out. Granny ass video. Probably hard to tell it to you. The car couldn't even get probably the license plate.

It's in the rain. Yeah. I nudged the person.

Get over it. I'm a safe driver by the way. Very safe. Should I be on alert now in Atlanta on Sunday and Monday that I'm going to hit you? No, I'm not going to hit you. Watch out. Train's coming through. You can get in the car with me and then we may go hitting people.

That's what we might do. Safest place to be in the passenger seat of JRS car. Yeah. Just running people over. Yeah.

Yeah. Grand theft auto. What's the other one that you remember? Crazy taxi. No, not the video game. You had a video game. It was a crazy taxi.

It was a guy in San Francisco in a taxi and he was crazy. Yeah. That's it. I'm a very good driver anyway. By the way. Yeah. My car is fine now.

Thank God. It scared the living hell out of me. I thought, hickey, I thought there was ice dragon underneath the car. It was my car. Oh, oh, like the car separated from itself. Yeah. The car. Oh, ice went in the car and imagine taking a sword and just slicing underneath the car. That's what happened. Oh my God. How is that possible? They had, they had to remove it.

He removed it. I'm good. Wow.

Car drives perfectly fine. I'm good. Good thing, buddy. You're not. Wow.

Ice. No joke. Yeah. I'm here. Car's here.

Everybody lived. I'm good. I do.

I do not care. And I know all over the country, people listening all over North America. I know there's a, what, three quarters of the country that is, is freezing cold. Hickey is cold again here in Atlanta. I can't imagine it's cold in New York, right? I saw the weather.

Yes. It is very cold right here right now. And I saw the weather for Atlanta on Sunday and Monday.

And let's just say I was shocked. Yeah. It's going to be like 19, 18 degrees at night in like 30 degrees in the daytime. I got to bring my winter coat. Yeah, you do. Absolutely.

You have to bring a winter coat. Yeah. It's the weather.

Yeah. The weather. Welcome to, uh, welcome to winter. This is the time of year. The weather is going to suck. It's what it is. I mean, even outside of my own personal issues, driving my vehicle, having it destroyed by ice, Hickey coming to Atlanta, Atlanta, freezing. How about this?

We got a game on Sunday between the Buffalo Bills and the Ravens and into the shock of everybody. Hickey, this is what we should have grabbed. No, that black guy from family guy, the weatherman. Is it the it's going to rain guy? Yeah. I was going to say we should have found a, does he, has he ever said it's going to be cold? Probably not. Right.

I got to see if I can find it. Nah, probably not. I think, I think you're right. He just announces the rain. He doesn't say anything about the cold. Well, it's going to be cold when the Ravens take on the bills and this actually might have an effect on the game. And of course you say, Oh, well it's Buffalo.

Oh yeah. It's Western New York and shout outs to all of our listeners in Western New York. We're used to this, right? We're used to snow coming off the lake. We're used to it being freezing. We got mounds of snow.

I'm very familiar with Western New York and Rochester. So I know what goes on. It's not unusual, but during the football game, when you got a Baltimore Ravens team that can damn near just put out 300 yards on the ground, no disrespect to the Steelers. I mean, y'all did it. It happened to you guys, the Ravens, if everybody is forced to just run the ball, would you not give the edge to the Baltimore Ravens as opposed to the Buffalo bills? Now I know a cook does not get all of the love and respect that he deserves, especially for a smaller back for the Buffalo bills.

I mean, Josh Allen pretty much said he doesn't get the respect that he deserves, but I'll tell you this. If I have to choose which team is going to be more successful rushing the ball, if there's going to be snow on the ground, how could I not choose the Ravens? Now we got time to get there. We'll certainly find out what the temperature will look like. Is it going to be a little bit of snow? They're not predicting snow storm. They're saying that it's just going to be cold with some snow in a wintry mix. Now, can you catch a football in a wintry mix? Yeah.

Are the odds better versus running? Eh, probably not. Take a listen to this. WKBW-TV. This is their weatherman giving the weather report for Sunday night's game up in Buffalo against the Ravens. Snow, cold air comes in during the day on Sunday. We'll have some lake effect snow showers, and it is going to be very, very chilly at the game. Temperatures in the upper teens for your tailgaters, cold with single digit wind chills during the game. Yeah, we don't know how much snow is going to be. There's just going to be cold. Now, you would say that, oh, Buffalo Bills are used to this. Oh, Buffalo Bills have the advantage. And I think about Lamar Jackson, and I know he plays up in Baltimore now, which is not balmy at this time of year.

He's from Miami. Now, what does that mean at the end of the day? Probably a whole lot of nothing. But and I'll give my prediction as we get closer to the game on Friday. But if there's snow, if you have to run the ball, Ravens all the way.

You know what? Let's listen to their head coach, John Harbaugh, coach of the Ravens, the man who told everybody that Lamar Jackson can be the greatest quarterback ever. That's what John Harbaugh said. Not me. If the guy wins it under the MVP, how can you dispute him not being one of the greatest QBs ever? I think he's already there, if you ask me. John Harbaugh was asked about the cold and how it will impact the game.

Listen, the game itself. No, you know, and, and, you know, it's we got as cold as we can in here right now. And it'll be colder here tomorrow when I get all the water shut off in here. So the pipes don't freeze. So we can be colder. So we'll have a cold. Love to be outside, but we just can't feels too hard and too frozen. But we'll get to work and we've had a lot of work in the cold, a lot of work in the wind.

And the elements are part of it. You know, the other thing is going to be the footing on their field. We're thinking about that too. We want to make sure we've got good footing on a field, it's a turf field and it'll be, it'll be hard and kind of frozen. So we're trying to think about all that, but really what we're thinking about is just executing our plays at the highest level we possibly can. Yeah, we know you have to adjust the game plan pending the weather. All right. They're not going to be playing in a monsoon and just say, oh, we need to hear the ball out 60 times.

You know, that's not how it works. It gets cold. You run a football.

Running a football favors the Baltimore Ravens. If I'm a Baltimore Ravens fan right now, I'm hoping that it snows. Forget the temperature. Everybody got to deal with the cold. Nobody likes playing in football weather where it's 15 degrees and feels like five. Nobody wants that.

Nobody. But if you got to run with the rock Ravens all the way, I would be hoping for some snow. Forget the rain, snow. Give me some.

Hickey, what are your thoughts? If it's, if there's some snow on the ground leaning towards the Ravens or you think it don't matter? No, I'm with you. Ravens, I think heavily because you have two legit threats in the backfield with Lamar and Derek Henry to run the ball where we saw the Bills run the ball really well last week against the Broncos, but can they do that again against what is one of the best rushing defenses in all the league in the Ravens? It's a tough test. And like you said, if it's tough to throw the ball, that is the weakness of Baltimore. So you think that absolutely favors the Ravens here in this game? I'm with you. I think the elements, bizarrely enough, even though the Bills are used to it at home, I'm with you. I think the, the elements actually favor the Ravens in this game.

Yeah, it could be, could be a disadvantage. And you talk about what the Buffalo Bills did. And I had mentioned James Cook. He rushed for 120 yards this past Sunday against those Broncos. Now, am I, am I running him up to 120 yards? Am I expecting him to do that again?

Uh, nah, not, not really. And the thing about Buffalo, it could, it could snow in the first quarter and then stop and in the field could clear up and then we have more snow. And then you could have the first half.

I get it so unpredictable. I mean, this was already a game that a lot of people, most people, this, this might be one of the best games of the entire season. And it's because we got two quarterbacks who are ultimately competing, not just to win a championship, something that, that not one of these guys have done at the same time as an, on an individual basis, both Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, they're both trying to get their hands on, on MVPs. Josh Allen is trying to win his first.

Lamar Jackson is trying to get his hands on his third, which is just ridiculous to think about. But all of that is for not because whoever loses this game between the Ravens and the Bills, they have to go through another off season of being good. They go through another off season of having an MVP candidate and winning 10 and 12 and 13 games. They go through another season of, oh yeah, well, we at the playoffs and getting ready to take on the Chiefs. It's crazy. One of these teams is going to go home.

That's the wild part about this. These are Super Bowl contenders, the Buffalo Bills and the Ravens, and somebody's going to be eliminated in the divisional round. I'm not all excited about the Chiefs and the Texans. Sorry, I'll be tuning in to see if the Texans can hang in there. I'm not expecting much out of that game.

I'll be tuning in on Sunday. Buffalo Bills. I don't even know. Hickey, what do they call that stupid thing now? They changed the name again? I know they building a new one. Aramark? Highmark? I think it's Highmark. Highmark Stadium. Thing has gone through like 20 different names in 30 years. Now they're building a new one.

I don't even know the name of the new one. Doesn't matter. Good luck to the Buffalo Bills and good luck to the Ravens. I'm going to give my prediction on on Friday. Let's just say I think the game is going to be very close. And damn it, they may have to redo who wins MVP depending on who wins this game.

I think that'd be an easier solution. Whoever wins this game between the Buffalo Bills and the Ravens, just give them the MVP. Even though it's for the regular season, it's been tallied up already. It's going to be a fun one.

It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We got Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen competing to advance to the AFC Championship game. We got a top six list that we'll talk about in about two hours from now and some of the best coaching jobs available in the NFL. I can tell you some teams that have terrible head coaching jobs.

And you know what? Speaking of quarterbacks, we're going to take a break. And when we come back on the other side, we're going to talk about a quarterback who declared himself eligible for the NFL draft in a few months. He's coming out of the great state of, well, I'll tell you on the other side.

Congratulations and welcome. It's the JR Sport Reshow coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. Right before we went to break, I filled you in that there is a quarterback who's going to be moving on to the NFL. I'll tell you who that is in a second. About an hour ago, we learned that Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, first year back in the league, gets the Chargers into the playoffs. Unfortunately, he watches Herbert throw four interceptions. He spoke to the media, and Jim Harbaugh told everybody, he's like, listen, I got to have a hip replacement. Not the worst or craziest thing in the world, especially for a guy who played a quarterback in the NFL. Not a crazy idea or thought to see that he's going to have his hip replaced. And then the other issue, and this is not something that's discussed all the time, you might recall earlier in the season, about halfway through, Jim Harbaugh had to exit the game with an atrial flutter of his heart. And so he is going to have a cardiac ablation this offseason to help settle that. And so not just all about football and draft, but a busy offseason as well. For, you know, 61, he ain't no old man, not by far.

61, you know, old man, not by any stretch of the imagination. But when you've played in the league and you've gotten beaten up and you got your ass kicked at these, these are some of the costs that you have to pay. So all the best to Jim Harbaugh. I know later on in the show, we're going to talk about some of the best coaching opportunities in the NFL that currently exists. Jim Harbaugh, certainly one of the best coaches that the league has seen coming off of a national championship about a year ago.

And despite how they cheated or what they did or did not do, still one of the best at any level of the game. And I told you, we got a guy in the college ranks. He is leaving the college ranks and he is now entering into the NFL. He is from the great state of Texas. His name is Quinn Ewers. Today, after rumors of $6 million being on the table and he can go get a new job, and have an NIL deal and all of this, Quinn Ewers is like, uh, no, I'm going to the NFL draft. And this is what he announced today on his social media, because of course everything has to be fancy and produced.

He had to make a movie for the announcement. Listen, My entire life, I've dreamed about playing football on the 40 acres. And these past three years have been some of the best years I could have imagined. The relationships I built between coaches and teammates will last forever. Truly thankful for the opportunity to play football in my home state at the best university in the world.

With prayer and careful consideration, I'm officially declaring for the NFL draft. Oh my God. Why, why does it have to be so dramatic? Well, did we need a video? And I get it. I'm sure his, his agency, so are we going to do a video, come to the VO? Yeah.

Everything is just a whole production now. That might be the most produced thing that he ever produces in his life because going into the NFL, but what are you expecting from Quinn Ewers? I think this guy's going to be healthy. He had the shoulder issues this year. He had the oblique and we saw arch Manning come through and spell him. We saw the, we saw the big fumble in the college football playoff against Ohio. We've seen Quinn Ewers look good. We've also seen him turn the ball over and realistically we got an inkling of this. We were teased as to what Quinn Ewers would do last week. He was sitting down with ESPN, giving one of these introspective interviews about who he is and, and what we can expect and all this stuff going forward.

And this was just on Friday. He told everybody, I don't think I'm going to stay in college this season or next year. Listen to this. I knew I wanted to be back in Texas, but I think that was the moment that I really knew that this was going to be a great fit for me. Do you expect to play college football next year?

No, I don't. What have you thought of some of the noise about you sticking around college and going somewhere else? I hadn't even paid attention to it. I'm not really sure what's going on.

Yeah. What the hell was he going to do instead? He was going to leave football.

He was going to leave college football and go do what? Shout out to the plumbers out there. Was he going to be a plumber?

Shout out to all our Uber drivers and truck drivers. We just going to pick up a truck job. This man's already making money in college. He was one of the first athletes in college to get an NIL deal. If he says he's not playing college football, he ain't staying in Texas.

He's not going to enter into the, I don't know, the IRS or maybe the future. Did you hear they want to create an ERS, external revenue service? Did you see that? No, I did not. Okay. Yeah.

Well, is that in the same boat as the Gulf of America thought? Yes. Yes, it is. Yes. New ideas are coming in. Yeah. New, new ideas. Yes.

New ideas. I didn't think Quinn Ewers was going to go ahead and join that. Of course he's going into the league.

Of course. Now what he does in the league is I got to be honest. I'd be surprised if Quinn Ewers is playing for a team next year. And when I say playing for a team, I'm not talking about being on a team.

I'm talking about actually getting some playing time, getting some burn. We got 32 jobs, 32 starting jobs in the NFL. We got half these NFL teams. They probably want to get rid of their quarterback. We got so many confusing scenarios existing at the quarterback position. Look at the Minnesota Vikings.

They get smashed on Monday, embarrassed by the Rams. Now we got Sam Donald who was, was this was one step away from making major money. And now they're just like, ah, we can't get JJ McCarthy in here fast enough so he can hopefully just fully take the job from Sam.

Like that's how fickle things are in the NFL. Man, the Pittsburgh Steelers, they got to figure out, are we keeping Russell Wilson? Are we keeping Justin Fields? Will they re-sign with us?

You got Russell Wilson as it stands today. He's already putting out workout videos. I'm like, bro, come on.

Already? Is, is Hickey, is Russell Wilson kissing ass to get a job? Why is he putting out these workout videos? He can't help himself. He's been brutal and he remains brutal. Hey guys, every day is a new opportunity to make the most. So what, we got three months of this? Come on now, Russell.

Just work out in private. Everybody all about branding. I don't blame it. About Brandon too.

I am. And JR Sportbreef, go check it out. But Quinn Ewers, man, you think about the other prospects, the quarterback prospects in this draft. Cam Ward, it's Shador Sanders. You got Jalen Monroe. Quinn Ewers is in the back of the pack.

He might be the what, fifth quarterback selected? And you start thinking about this. This is backup city for Quinn Ewers. So you know what? I take it back. Enjoy every minute and every second of attention that you're going to receive between now and April.

Soak it in. Because realistically, most, most college quarterbacks, they going to end up like Will Levis. If they even get a chance or an opportunity to play. Will Levis had to sit in that green room. Will Levis had to sit in that green room. Hickey wasn't, it was in Kansas City, wasn't it? Yes, it was. You're right. Yeah, because we were there.

That's why I remember it. This man had to sit around for a day and then another day to figure out where he was going to get drafted. Will Levis' claim to fame as an NFL quarterback. Let's just say his transition into the NFL, his claim to fame is eating mayonnaise, getting a mayonnaise deal and turning the ball over as the quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. Now I'm not putting Quinn Ewers in that same category, but what team is throwing him out there as a starter? I mean, if he has success, it's going to have to be years down the line when somebody gets hurt and they go, you know what? We got to put Quinn Ewers in the game and let's just see what he can do. And maybe he'll sink, maybe he will swim, but the majority of quarterbacks, I'm just being honest, everybody ain't Brock Purdy. Everybody can't be as lucky.

Quinn Ewers, he will be carrying a clipboard for a few years. So congratulations to what you did at Texas. Unfortunately, it didn't end on the highest of notes.

At least you made some money. And I can tell you this, he will not be making a $6 million as a quarterback in the NFL next year. Congratulations for the success you had in college, for the money that you made in college and good luck in the NFL. It's a competitive space.

You got to compete for starting jobs with guys like, I don't know, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson. Welcome to the league. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Robert is here from Michigan. You're on the J.R. Sportbreeze.

Show us up, Robert. Yeah. Hi, J.R. Como estas, mi amigo? I see you. Oh, muy bien.

Gracias. My question is this. If the Cowboys drafting at 12, if Ashton Gente is there, do you think he'd be a great pick for him? I don't know if I want to get a running back that high if I'm the Dallas Cowboys.

I mean, they need so much. We saw Rico Dowdle have more than a thousand yards rushing this past season. We know Ezekiel Elliott didn't help out. What did he what did Ezekiel Elliott do this year? He do anything?

What do you do? No, I don't think he did. OK. Yeah. He played as much as me and you. If I'm the Dallas Cowboys, I'm not I'm not getting a running back. You know, I may try to fill out the offensive line. I may try to get another wide receiver, you know, outside to help out with Lamb. I'm not all that reliant on cooks and whatever the hell his future might be. The Dallas Cowboys got holes to fill. And I don't think running back is interchangeable as it is.

I don't think it's an investment. Yeah, I see. OK. And then you can also there's so many defenders this year as well. So many defensive ends and Abdul Carter will probably be going by then.

But yeah, the Cowboys got better things to do than just draft a running back. Ain't no Saquon here, OK? Yeah. Well, thank you, Robert. Thanks a lot. OK. Bye bye. Thank you, Robert.

Thank you. Do you agree with me, Dallas cop? They got so many holes. I'm not picking a running back.

I don't care how many yards he had this year in Boise State. B, P, A, best player available. So I'm with you.

They have they have holes basically everywhere. Whoever the best player is that I think they're picking 12. Yeah. Take him because even even running back.

Anybody with you. Anybody but a running back, right? Yes.

Yes. Because I Jesse's good. I mean, I don't think he's going to go in the first. I don't think any running back will probably be graded as a first round pick. So we've been shocked. I mean, Jameer Gibbs was a surprise, right?

That's true. Always some team that goes, hey, we need a running back. Let's just pay a running back a lot of money. And then he's he's I don't want to say he's small, but for a running back, what is what is Ashton, Jesse, five, nine? I believe he's five, nine.

Yeah, man. And you saw him up close and personal. So he was he was smaller than what you envisioned, or was he built? Of course, he's built like a truck, but smaller, definitely a little shorter than I thought. But he's like a fire hydrant, like you said, like Maurice Jones. Sure. Like he packed. Oh, wow.

I mean, really more. OK, that's maybe a little bit skinnier up top, but yeah, his legs were very powerful. I'm sure you know, it's one thing to do that at college.

What do you do when you get to the NFL? What was the other guy's name? The muscle hamster?

He hated that name. Oh, yeah. Oh, was he playing Ohio State, right? Am I Martin? Yes. Doug Martin. Yeah. For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That's right. Hated that nickname. That was another short one. I can't even say short ish. Hickey, I think I might be taller than him. What taller than him?

What was his name again? Doug Martin. Yeah. Doug Martin.

Short period. Yeah. He hated that name, but he was built like a truck. What was he? Five. They don't even have his height on here anymore.

Tomorrow, man, he's scrubbed from the Internet. Yeah. Maybe that's why he's not in the league, even though he's older. He's five. He's another he's five nine. He was good.

So, yeah, you can you can bust ass at five nine. I mean, come on now. We had Darren. Darren Sproles was one of the most exciting NFL players that I've ever seen in my life. He couldn't see over the offensive line. When this guy got the football, you knew something dangerous or ridiculous is going to happen. And regardless of how they got him of the football. But a running back today? Yes. We see what a running back can do for your team.

All right. We see the importance of having a Jameer Gibbs or at least having both of those running backs healthy. We can take a look, obviously, at what the Baltimore Ravens do. But not every team is out here trying to run the football. Gente to the Dallas Cowboys would be one of these glamour plays by Jerry Jones. But quite frankly, we know that Jerry Jones is full of glamour plays a lot of a lot of style, not a lot of substance.

It's just the facts. Eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. We are going to take a break. You know, speaking of rookie quarterbacks in the transition, this guy has high expectations because he was selected number one in this year's past draft or at least last year in twenty twenty four. Caleb Williams has some thoughts on what he wants to see the Bears do when it comes down to the head coaching position. Yeah, a rookie.

He's got just finished his first year. He already has thoughts on what he wants out of a coach. We'll hear what he has to say, and then I'm going to give you a response.

The phone lines are also open if you want to give me a holler. Eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. You are listening to the J.R. Sport Brief, the J.R.

Sport Reshow here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Oh, Caleb Williams, he ain't going back to Cali. He's he's from Cali, or at least that's where he went to school. Caleb Williams, he ain't going back to Cali, but he is trying to get his hands on a new head coach. What? Rookie quarterback has influence like that.

I guess if you're asked the question, you just go ahead and and give the answer. Last break, we talked about Quinn Ewers. The man is leaving the Texas Longhorns, thank God, because now it's Arch Manning time. I've been waiting to see what Arch Manning can do. I just want to see him and light it up in college next year.

Enough of Quinn Ewers. He can go carry some bags and a clipboard next season. I'm eagerly looking to see what Arch Manning can do. Meanwhile, we just completed the rookie season for Caleb Williams, who, by the way, was drafted number one overall, didn't have the best rookie season out of the quarterback selected. That would happen to be Bo Nix. And you also think about Jayden Daniels with the Washington commanders.

Those are the guys who've had the best years. And by the way, it's still crazy to think, Hickey, am I living in a dream world? Is Jayden Daniels still playing?

The commanders are still here. Am I bugging it? The Cinderella shoe still fits, if you will. Oh, my goodness.

Oh, my goodness. Now they're going to get, they're going to get blasted, right? You think like no chance. No, they got a chance because they put up points, but they did, they needed their kicker to come by and basically almost not kick the ball through the uprights against Tampa.

Come on. I think the spread right now is about nine and a half. Would you say the Lions win by double digits? Because that's like, yeah, that's like an ass kicking.

That's a touchdown and a field goal. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. I give him 10. Okay.

Give him 10. Do you want to make a wager about that here on the air? They could be closer. I think they'll be with, I think they'll keep it within, I think they'll keep it within single digits.

Okay. I wouldn't be surprised. What do you think Caleb Williams is going to be doing during the game?

Cause he ain't playing. What's he going to be doing? Well, I hope he's not getting catfished again. That's what I really hope. Oh my God. Oh, hope you guys new numbers secured. Well, some kids, so some kid reached out to Caleb.

Think about this. Caleb Williams is a starting quarterback for the Chicago bears. The Chicago bears currently do not have a head coach. They are looking for a head coach. They've interviewed Mike McCarthy and Pete Carroll and Aaron Glenn, who's obviously the defensive coordinator for the Detroit lions.

They got Ron Rivera into the building. Ben Johnson took a look as well. Caleb Williams got a random text.

Hickey, what was it? Someone saying that they were Ben Johnson? Exactly that.

Yes. Some kid got a hold of Caleb Williams number and text him and said, Hey, basically this is Ben Johnson. It's not out there. It's not public yet, but I've a, I'm going to be the next head coach with the Chicago bears. And, and Caleb Williams response was just really coach. Oh, okay. Well looking forward to it.

Good luck. You know, your game on Sunday. And it's just like, what? He just, he believed it. People out here getting scammed.

It's not just your grandma getting scammed. We got NFL quarterbacks just getting text messages and believing exactly what it is. What are we doing here? Anyway, having said that, I don't know if you believe in Caleb Williams, but he did speak to the media. And matter of fact, he was on the St. Brown podcast, by the way, is still playing at what point do you stop and just focus in on the playoffs. But anyway, Caleb Williams, he talked about what he's looking for and a head coach, man, worry about throwing the ball. Listen to this strong-minded a leader of men.

So do you feel like, sorry about that. Do you feel like your coach, you want your coach to be like offensive minded or you want a big picture? I want to have the coordinators like, like selfishly. I want an office of minded guy so I can build with him and, you know, be with, be with that coach for the next 19, 17, 15 years. And so I can also learn and grow and, you know, things like that from him and what he's seen and what he, you know, what he's gone through with, you know, maybe other QBs have been around. But if we get a overall like grand scheme coach and is good with time management, good with the clock, good with control, helping control the game, just because, you know, I mean, I mean, it's a big factor, obviously. And in our game, when we play our first time at y'all's place, big factor is being able to help control the clock and then help and find the right guys to win championships. Biggest cliche.

This is what happens. What did he say that was so damn groundbreaking outside of the fact that I wouldn't even that's not my job. I would have said, what are they looking for?

I don't know. I'm not hiring a head coach. It's my job to show up to work and get better as a rookie.

Done. That's it. I leave it to management to bring in a coach like that's your boss, man. Why are you talking about what you want to see in a boss?

Somebody who helps me grow and leaves me alone. That's it. Let's go win a championship together.

Making all these ridiculous points. And then it was suggested to him, but I'm just like, Hickey, I think leader of if I have to hear leader of men one more time and I'm probably going to hear it 50 more times over the next three months. Leader of men. I'm sick of hearing that. I think it's growing on me to where it's like the most not growing on me per se, but like it's to the for me, the point where it's like the most overused cliche leader. He's a leader of men.

Oh my goodness. Has there been a head coach ever hired, Jar, that wasn't a leader of men? They all leader of men, right? There's no women there, are there?

That's true. A leader of men. Now, whether or not you happen to be a good leader of men or a bad one, I don't know.

But this is the new, this is the new cliche talking about coaching. You need a leader of men. Hickey, let's put that on a shirt and sell it. Would that be a hot ticket? Like on a hoodie in the front of a hoodie? Leader of men, right? No? I think if you put like Dan Campbell's face on the back, I think Lions fans would eat that up. Dan Campbell?

What, them screaming? Yeah, I think he's a leader of men. I think people call, would call him a leader, a leader of men. I'm going to sell that shirt and I'm going to see who buys it, Hickey. Oh, I like it.

And I want to see where they were. Could you see people like thousands of people walking around stadiums just as leader of men on the front? I think for certain coaches, absolutely. I think Dan Campbell would be one.

I think, right? There are certain coaches. Leader of leader of men. I'm sick of that. How about you just be a good football coach? I feel like that has a, there's an interesting connotation attached to that.

Like you can bark and yell and make men listen to you. I don't know. Mike Vrabel, leader of men. Mike Tomlin. Okay.

X's and O's. Oh, we don't know. He's just a CEO.

And like, oh, just, just cut it out. Either good coach or not. Leader of men. Hickey, I'm not a leader of men.

I'm just minding my business. You're a leader of man. You lead yourself. Yeah. I'm just a leader of man.

Just myself. Leader of, leader of a man. Put that on a shirt.

Leader of a man. No, thank you. No?

No, no, no, no. I think I'm, yeah, I think I'm going to avoid that. 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. We're going to take a break. We come back on the other side. Speaking of Mike Tomlin, you know, when I was gone yesterday, he basically said, don't trade for me. Don't even waste your time thinking about it. And then we got Jimmy Butler still running around, trying to be traded. What a disaster. We'll talk about that. I'll get to your calls. So much more to do. The JR sport re-show coast to coast, the infinity sports network. Leader of a man.
