The phone number is 855-212-4227.
That's 855-212-4227. And about 20 minutes from now, we'll have a conversation. Frank Schwab is going to join us from Yahoo Sports. And boy, oh boy, we got a lot of NFL to get into with him. We learned about JJ McCarthy being out for the season following his torn meniscus.
Obviously, it needed a full repair. Not good news for the Minnesota Vikings as also Jordan Addison had to be carted or had to be carted off the field due to an ankle injury earlier today. And then minutes ago, we also learned that we got a trade in the NFL. Ryan Hickey, who's in New York City, shared with us that the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots decided to go ahead and swap a player for a pick.
Hickey, what the hell is going on? What happened? The Falcons are doing some good business. That's what's happening. They did something smart for a change, huh? They did.
They did. They're building their defense now after losing Braylon Trice and they are going for it. To their credit, they are going for a big time this year. The Falcons, they're bringing in Matthew Judon for a third round pick. This is the same Matthew Judon who just a couple of weeks ago when training camp opened up, he refused to participate. He's sitting on the sideline. He's getting into beefs with Gerard Mayo. They're having a little beef on the sideline. He's walking off the field. He wants a new contract or at least he wanted a new contract. And when you think about Matthew Judon, look, this man, a couple of seasons ago, he had 15 and a half sacks. This man can go out there and get you 10 plus sacks in the season.
But here's the facts. He's 31, 32 years old right now. The guy tore his bicep last year. And then he showed up to work with the Patriots, wanted a new deal because he's entering into the last year of his contract.
And it's like, hey, hey, you're on the Patriots. All he wanted to do is complain about all the cap space that they had. He's an older player. He's coming off of an injury.
And so he just made things real difficult. Now for the Falcons, this is a good move. And I'll tell you about their past rusher history in a minute. Let's just say it's been quite pathetic, but let's listen to Matthew Judon who has been a disgruntled player with the New England Patriots.
And now I don't know, will he be as disgruntled here in Atlanta? We'll figure it out soon enough. Just a couple of weeks ago, last week, Matthew Judon, he left practice and he told everybody, well, I left practice because I want money and I didn't want to be a distraction to the team. Listen to this. We had a conversation. I didn't want to be a, a distraction to the team. So, uh, I went inside. I wasn't, I wasn't participating in those drills that day. So I went, I went inside and, uh, then I got a, got a message.
So I came back and talked to the GM, our GMs. Uh, then I went back inside. Sorry, I'm animated. I talk with my hands where that's, you know, I'm gonna start talking like this and not be so animated. Oh man. Hickey, that sounds like something I hear in high school.
Like that's a kid describes detention or something. Hey, I'm not, I wasn't angry. I just talk with my hands. I'll just animate.
We'll learn some damn self-control. I'm just Italian. That works too. I'm just Italian, right? Can, can, can, uh, can Matthew Judon get away with that? You could try. He could maybe, maybe he's Italian. Maybe he is.
Take that 23 and me test. I feel like everyone's a little bit everything. Well, they split down in percentages now, right? Oh, beta 0.01%. Judon talks with his hands. 3% Italian, 3%. He said, coach Gerard Mayo, maybe 0% Italian. I don't know. He said that at the time, Judon wasn't being a distraction.
Listen to this. Judon is doing what he has to do. He's out here every day. He's in pads.
He'll be in pads today as well. He's doing everything in the meeting rooms and Oh, it was a hiccup. And I feel like we're on the same page and we're moving forward. I mean, every day it's his own day. Like sometimes I come to work and I don't feel like talking at all either, both as a player and also as a coach. So it's day to day.
And what I will say about Judon, he always brings great energy to the practice field, brings great energy in the locker room. And, and that is the expectation that he set early on. And I don't see it any different now. Oh, come on, man. What are we doing? What are we doing now? He doesn't have to worry about any type of distractions because quite frankly, he's gone. He's been traded for a third round pick. And he's, is he going to get a new deal from the Falcons?
Hell no. He better show up to work. And the Falcons man, they need him. The Falcons need a guy who can go out there and actually hit the quarterback. Cause that's something they have not had consistently since John Abraham.
Oh my God. I don't think John Abraham been gone for like 10 plus years now at this point in time, a matter of fact, the Falcons pass rush has been so bad over the past several years. If you look at an accumulation over the past five seasons, they have the fewest combined sacks in the NFL. A matter of fact, it's 23 sacks behind the next worst team.
Worst team is bad. They haven't had a guy get double digit sacks since 2016. It is 2024. They haven't had a guy get double digit sacks since Vic Beasley did it when he had 15 and a half sacks. And by the way, that was the last time the Falcons had a winning season. It's been a long time. Yeah. That's super bowl.
And I won't tell everybody the score. Let's just say it's been a long time. Best guy on the defensive line. Grady Jarrett blew out his knee last year. He's getting older. 30, 31, 32 years old. You bring in Matthew Judon.
He is 31, 32 years old, but at least he's going to help out right. If he's healthy, this is a good move for the Falcons. And this is a team that in one of the most ridiculous ways possible back during the NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons decided to take a quarterback after they gave Kirk Cousins all that damn money.
Yeah. They drafted Michael Pennix Jr. Number eight, when somebody like Dallas Turner was sitting right there. Now he's on the Minnesota Vikings. There was a lot of, there's a lot of, uh, let's just say confusion as to what the Falcons were doing. Why in the hell would you draft the quarterback for the future? And we know the quarterback is most important when you just paid one, even though we know that this man just came off of a, of a blown leg being Kirk Cousins, who also is not no damn spring chicken, but at least the Falcons will have a guy who's motivated. There's not a reason for him to sit out.
I expect him to show up and play. And more recently, the Falcons have had, had have missteps in trying to go out there and get an edge rusher. I mean, they brought in Calleas Campbell. How many more damn old guys can you just bring in and hope that they work? Calleas Campbell is like, he's on the edge of a time and every year now he's down in Miami.
Judon will play. And I got to give the Falcons some credit, a third round pick, a guy who can rush the passer, who is going to go out there and play for his next and probably last contract. Nothing to lose for the Falcons here and for the New England Patriots.
Let's be real. They ain't going nowhere. They're rebuilding.
And so to pick up a third round pick, that's a, that's a good deal to add some draft capital. And so when you think about this, is this a little bit of a, a mea culpa to the fans? No, this is something that the Falcons have needed, an edge rusher. And now they seem like a little bit more of a complete team. And then when you look at the big picture of the NFC South, you going to tell me that the Falcons, that they cannot win this division?
Let's think about this. The Buccaneers and sure. Yeah, they, they went to the post season last year. They beat the living hell out of the Eagles. You expecting that to happen again?
Probably not. They should be good, but they ain't no championship contender, right? The Saints. Saints suck. Even if fans don't like, well, the fans love the Saints. The fans don't even like Derek Carr. And do I need to get into an explanation of the Panthers?
I'm not going to get into a long one. They better hope Bryce Young is the guy. That's it. Dave Canales, they better hope that he can coach him or somebody else into the future. The Panthers are nothing but a, they're a waste of time hoping to show signs of life this year because they are on life support. If the Falcons are not competitive with the Buccaneers to win this division. And yeah, they brought in a new head coach. They have Raheem Morris, who's back full time. They got a new defensive coordinator coming in and Jimmy Lake.
This is a, this is a good year for the Falcons to do some building. They got a decent quarterback. They got a decent quarterback.
Damn it. They got a good quarterback and Kirk Cousins. He ain't playing in no preseason. They don't want his leg to fall off the bone, but he'll be out there. Maybe they got a future in Michael Pennix Jr.
This should be the first season. And this is crazy to say this should be the first season since 2017 that the Atlanta Falcons go out and have a winning season. And now they have Matthew Judon who should show up to work. And there should be no expectations that he's going to look for more money or a new contract because he has no leverage. He thought he had leverage with the Patriots because they're a bad team. They're going nowhere. They got cap space.
The Falcons. Well, they, they don't got too much money to spend right now. They can't afford to give this guy a contract extension unless they start chopping people around. And quite frankly, why would they give him an extension?
Torn biceps, 31, 32 years old, no need. And so Matthew Judon is going to have to come down to reality. Just last week, he sat down on a podcast. Of course he did. The Shut Up Mark podcast.
And Matthew Judon told everybody what we all know about just business in general. He hated it. He hates it, especially when it comes down to football. This football and it's the football business.
They're two different things. I love playing football. I love my teammates. I don't like the business of football. Who likes the business of football? What player likes the business of football? Players have no leverage.
NFL players get chewed up and they get spat out. If you don't show up and do your job, they find somebody else to go out there and do it. You got to be smart. Where's your leverage?
I don't know. Maybe you got to be Brandon Ayuk. Maybe you got to go online and be a crybaby to get what you want. By the way, Brandon Ayuk, he's still a member of the 49ers. The 49ers have tendered him a new contract and they still prepared to trade him if he doesn't want it.
You can't always get what you want. For the Falcons, I got to give them a hand clap. I got to give them a round of applause because for a team that a lot of times kicks itself in the ass, is a joke, is a butt of jokes, they actually did something that has made sense. Matthew Judon, the newest member of the Atlanta Falcons traded to the, or from the New England Patriots for a third round pick in 2025. They probably have their best pass rusher that they have seen on this team in almost a decade.
That's saying a lot. Falcons go out there and win. A matter of fact, I am favoring the Falcons to win the NFC South. Buccaneers got to fall in place right behind them.
Congratulations for not doing something stupid like drafting Michael Penix Jr. Maybe that'll work out too. It's the JR Sportbree Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, we're going to have a conversation with Frank Schwab from Yahoo Sports. I'm going to ask him about this deal, the implications that it has for Matthew Judon, the Falcons, what this means for a rebuilding team like the New England Patriots. We're going to get into a team that, man, they are rebuilding people in the operating room. The Minnesota Vikings, JJ McCarthy, you know, we'll talk more about everything going on in the NFL. Frank is coming through on the other side. You're locked in.

The man covers all things NFL. Frank, thank you for coming by and thank you for bringing some of the breaking news with us, man. How are you doing? Well, how about you?
I'm excellent. What are your initial thoughts here now that we learned the Falcons are bringing in Matthew Judon for a third round pick? The third round pick goes to the Patriots.
How are you feeling about that? I think it's a great deal for the Falcons, who have been searching for a good pass rusher for many, many years now. It has been a while since they've had a dude that could just line up and rush the quarterback one-on-one.
Judon gives that to them. Still a very good player, even though I think he's passed to 30. I still think he can give them what they need. They're the clear favorite in the NFC South, and this just fortifies that to me. I think my main takeaway, honestly, is how bad are the Patriots going to be this year? Matt Judon is our best player, as sad as that is to say out loud. He's their best guy, and now he's going to be playing for Atlanta, and he gets a third round pick back.
That's great, but I would warn Patriots fans, this season is going to be tough. I think they want to hold Drake May back as long as they can, because the surrounding cast isn't very good. Just everything about the Patriots this year just screams to me that this is going to be the team picking first in the NFL draft next year, and it stinks for Patriots fans.
Who knows? Maybe Jared May is an awesome coach, and they really get a lot more out of that roster than I think. My main takeaway is, hey, good for the Falcons, but my goodness, it's going to get ugly in New England this season.
Yeah, Frank Schwab is joining us from Yahoo Sports. I mean, 20 years of winning is not going to pacify the fans. Four bad years is not enough? I mean, I don't think they're going to trade it, but at some point, you just don't want to beat 2 and 15. It just is no fun, like whatsoever. So, you know, yeah, you get a little bit of grace.
You get a lot of grace period. They had the greatest 20-year run in NFL history, but boy, are they paying the cost now for that dynasty, because it is just... This is the worst roster in the NFL.
I don't even think it's close. If they're not the worst team in football this year, that means somebody else near the bottom, like the Giants or Panthers or somebody else. Even the Panthers, who went 2 and 15 last year, probably almost went 0 and 17.
They were that bad. Even them, I consider them a major step ahead of the Patriots at this point, especially talent-wise. Well, Frank, you talk about the NFC South. You said the Falcons are the clear leaders. You discussed how the Panthers, man, it just... They're hoping that they can show some type of signs of life this upcoming season. Are there any teams that you look at this year and say, man, they could actually surprise some folks? Is there any team that stands out to you?
Yeah, no one is the commanders, really. And I know that sounds crazy and maybe it is, but you look at kind of the template of the teams that have come from worst to first the past few years, almost all of them have drafted a quarterback one or two. We're talking about Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow and guys like that.
You can go back to 2012. It's a while ago, but Washington drafted a Heisman-winning athletic quarterback at number two overall, and RG3 took him to a division title nobody saw coming. I don't know that the commander was necessarily winning the division title, but if the offensive line is just decent, and look, that's the one real problem I have with Washington right now is your offensive line might be so bad that it really holds him back, but if that offensive line is just kind of below average and not terrible, I really like a lot of the other things the commanders bring to the table, starting with Jayden Daniels. I just think the world of him as a player, I think he's going to be an immediate playmaker, immediate impact guy. He's going to do a lot of things well for the Washington commanders who have a new coach, new GM, a lot of new guys on the roster.
They really turned it over a lot. I just think Washington is going to be one of those teams. We're going to look up in December and say, wow, they're in playoff contention.
I just think that they have that type of jump in them. Frank Schwab is here with us from Yahoo Sports. You talk about Jayden Daniels. Unfortunately, we learned JJ McCarthy is going to be lost for the season. There's some big expectations surrounding Caleb Williams, a lot of hype. Michael Penix Jr., I don't know, he'll probably be in mothballs for the whole season unless Kirk Cousins goes down.
We got Bo Nix, Drake May, you said they're going to hold off. Who do you think is going to be the best rookie quarterback this year? Is it between Caleb and Jayden?
I do think so, yeah. Caleb, wow. He came in with all the hype, obviously. He won a Heisman two years ago. We've known about Caleb Williams for a while now, but just seeing him do the things he did on the NFL field, I get it was just a preseason game and a couple series in a preseason game, but how could you not be excited seeing that? All of his skills are on display.
He threw on a run, threw from the pocket, plays with his legs, made improvisational plays, everything. You looked and you said, okay, that's why that guy was the number one pick. It looks so funny now that for a while there we're like, oh baby, Drake May is going to be the first pick.
No, no, no. Caleb was always that dude and he really showed it. So I assume it's going to be those two for best this year and going forward. I'm not against any of the other guys.
I like Drake May. I don't hate the Michael Penix pick as much as everybody else does, although there are some things that are very confusing about it. I think Bo Nix could be fine and a Sean Payton offense. All these guys really did look good last weekend, including McCarthy, unfortunately, was hurt, but I do think Daniels and Williams are just kind of head and shoulders above everybody else.
And we'll see. It's going to be a very, very interesting rookie of the year race. When you start adding guys like, you know, Marvin Harrison and Malik neighbors and who knows one of the running backs just comes out of it, Jonathan Brooks or somebody comes out of nowhere and has a big year. I think it's going to be a really, really good rookie of the year race, but this is, this is going to be a good classic quarterback, I think. Well, Frank, you mentioned, uh, JJ McCarthy.
He's been in the news all day, the past 48 hours with that, that's on meniscus. Now we know he'll be out for the season. Lost season for the Vikings. Is there any hope that maybe Sam Donald has a Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield type resurgence?
Yeah, I don't think so, but he's got the chance. Look, part of the reason Sam Darnold failed in New York and Carolina is both of those teams were no good around him. It's, he owns some of why he struggled with those teams, but he wasn't put in a good situation.
This is a much better situation. Kevin O'Connell is a heck of an offensive coach. He's thrown to the, in my opinion, the best receiver on the planet, Justin Jefferson, they're all over the lines out there. Like all the things you want, like the environment really is not bad with the Minnesota Vikings. The problems with them is they played a really, really tough division and, you know, Sam Darnold has never shown that he's an above average quarterback. Maybe he can be this year and the Vikings surprise. And I just don't see it coming.
I really don't. I, I'm starting to get a little, you know, that this team could be feisty at least, but that was based on JJ McCarthy taking over the starting job sometime in September. We saw what he could do last week. He actually looked really good.
I was pretty impressed. Well, Sam Darnold just, he's got to prove it to me. He's got to be, you know, a viable NFL starting quarterback this season, or this is his last shot. Like, yeah, I don't, if he fails in this situation, I can't imagine another team next year or the year after that saying, we really want Sam Darnold to be our guy. This is not going to happen. It looked bigger than I failed, saved his career last year.
I didn't really think that was going to happen. It can happen in a better environment, but this is it for Sam Darnold. This is, this is do or die for his career as far as wanting to be a long-term starter in the NFL. Frank Schwab is joining us from Yahoo Sports. You know, let's stick around in the NFC.
Let's go towards the West because obviously the 49ers have been competing and trying to win a Super Bowl for the past several seasons. We have heard ad nauseam for the last several months, several weeks about Brandon Iuke. Is he staying?
Is he extending? Is he getting traded? Now that we've seemingly got a little bit more clarity, you think he's just going to stick around and agree to a contract?
Probably. I mean, I can't look, it's probably happened behind the scenes, but I don't remember publicly where a player or two teams have basically agreed to the framework of a trade on a player. And it just was dragged on for two days because the other one team is negotiating still with that player. And I was good for Steelers, honestly, I'd be pretty upset. Like they were used in this situation.
They were the pawn. They were, Hey, yeah, go out and well, yeah, we'll try to work on a trade with the Steelers. And then they steal with the Steelers, bring them to the table and they go back to Iuke and say, well, you know, why not just re-sign with us? They're obviously dragging their feet on this because I don't blame them because they know they're much closer to a Super Bowl with Brandon Iuke than without him. That, that is not rocket science right there.
That is pretty obvious. He led that team in receiving errors by more than 300 last year, heck of a player. They're in the Super Bowl window. They're one of the favorites, one of the five best teams in the NFL, without any doubt, they should want to hold on to Brandon Iuke. And I think that this whole ordeal has just got, it just allowed the 49ers to kind of set the market, come close to what Iuke wants, be able to tell him, look, what are you going to do? You're really going to go, you're going to go catch passes from Russell Wilson and Justin Fields? Really? Is that what you want to do? Or do you want to play for a Super Bowl this year?
Is it worth an extra million dollars or whatever it is? I don't even know what, you know, what the gap is there. So I do at this point, at this point, the way this was dragged on and how does it played out? I actually would be surprised if Brandon Iuke is not with the 49ers this season. This is the most reasonable outcome. Well, Frank, there's another team in the NFC. They're trying to get back to a Super Bowl. They had a disastrous end to last year. It's the Eagles.
The most noise that we've got out of the Eagles is it was a beef between Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts. And now they're getting adjusted to the new coordinators and Kellen Moore coming in. What are your thoughts on what the Eagles will look like this year? They can't be as bad as they finished last year, right? I assume.
I just have a hard time shaking it, to be honest. Yeah, I look at the roster and it's fantastic. And they have a lot of talent and I like Jalen Hurts and they were a team that was 10-1 last year, obviously in the Super Bowl year before, but I just can't get out of my mind how bad they were. Like, as long as the teams are losing like last second by last second field goals, right? They were losing them to the Arizona Cardinals at home, blowing a 21-6 lead. They were losing to the Giants. They're getting absolutely positively boat raced by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs. Like, what happened to that team and have they reasonably fixed it?
I don't know the answer to that. I don't know that whatever was failing them late last season when chemistry, like that team, I hate playing body language police because you can go down some wrong roads there, but that team really does look like we just want to be done with each other. We just want the season to be over so we can go our separate ways.
We have no interest in playing for the Philadelphia Eagles for any more this season. They just looked like they had absolutely quit on each other. And have you fixed all that? Have you fixed the chemistry issues? Bringing in new coordinators change everything? Maybe, but it's still awkward to Sirianni. It's whatever happened to the Eagles late last season.
I don't know there's been completely fixed. I've said this all season. They are a team that their range of outcomes is they can win a Super Bowl or they could be the first coach, the first team to fire the coach. They could fire Nick Sirianni by Halloween and it wouldn't surprise me. It also wouldn't surprise me if they won a Super Bowl. Like, they have that talent, which I just don't know what to make of the Eagles.
They absolutely confound me. I think they're gonna be good. I think they're gonna make a playoffs, but I just don't know if I trust them anymore as like this Super Bowl contender based on what happened late last season. Wow. Frank, not that I expect it to happen, but wouldn't it be a hell of a story if Nick Sirianni did get the boot and some guy named Bill Belichick said screw this TV stuff.
I'm gonna go downstairs. Wouldn't that be an awesome story? I don't think he would, but wouldn't that be a cool story?
Maybe not for Sirianni. Hey, as somebody who writes about the NFL multiple times every day, I'm all for it because that would be, oh my goodness, what a headline that would be. Bill Belichick joining Eagles coaching staff for week eight or whatever it is. There's a lot of questions. Obviously, we know Jeffrey Lurie was stepping around Bill Belichick last offseason when he was trying to make a decision on Sirianni.
So maybe, but I don't know. I just honestly, I just don't know what to make of this Eagles team because again, they were, they were one of the five worst seasons of football over the last several weeks last year, which sounds crazy to say that out loud, but it's absolutely true. They were awful and they have to answer to why that happened. Frank Schwab here with us from Yahoo Sports. Now Frank, to kind of start to wrap things up here, we know we got the Kansas City Chiefs. They'll be competitive. What do you think of the next, I don't know, four teams that are in that space?
Four or five teams we should expect to see in late January? I think the Lions really, really high in the Lions this year. I think they went and attacked their weaknesses, cornerback especially. I think they're going to be really, really good.
I just, I trust Dan Campbell to motivate his guys. The fact that they got Ben Johnson back as offensive coordinator means that offense could be top five again. They're just, their team really without a weakness to me right now. I'm actually picking them to win Super Bowl. I think they're in my Super Bowl pick this year. I think as crazy as that sounds, I think the Lions are going to be really, really good this season. Look, the 49ers are fantastic, especially to get IU back.
No reason to believe they won't be good. I think everybody quit on the Cowboys too soon. Everybody freaked out because they weren't quote unquote all in like Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones says weird stuff. Why do we take him seriously? He just gets in front of a microphone and just rambles on for a while. We take a couple quotes.
We take him totally verbatim for his word. They were never going to be all in this off season. Yeah, they lost a few veterans. They lost some depth.
I get that. They're still the team that's won 12 games in a row, three years in a row. I mean, 12 games, three years in a row. I don't think the Cowboys are really going anywhere. I don't think the Ravens are going anywhere.
One team I think might jump up into there is the Browns of all teams. We need to see if DeSean Watson's healthy. I guess that's the one question, but they went 11 and six last year with absolute nothing, a quarterback all year. We think they're going to take a step back if DeSean Watson's healthy and can play even anywhere near what he was with the Texans a few years ago. I get there's a lot of questions with the quarterback position, but that's the only question with that team.
That is a really, really good roster. So don't, don't sleep on the Browns. I think that if Watson is okay, and look, we need to see it. If Watson's okay, that Browns give you the Super Bowl contender. I have no doubt in my mind that they have the roster to do it. And Frank Schwab joining us here from Yahoo Sports. Hey Frank, let me tell you something. If America gets a Browns versus Lions, a Super Bowl.
Oh my. We need to get canned goods together because at the end of the world it'll be happening. Right after that. I get it.
I totally get it. Who's America going to root? I mean, that's the underdogs. The Browns, the Browns, they sold their souls. They, they became one of the most unlikable teams in the NFL when the moment they got to Sean Watson. Thanks for Browns fans. I think they're good fans. They are good people. I'm from the Midwest. They're from the Midwest.
Yeah, I get it. They don't deserve that. But the organization brought this upon themselves that if it's Lions, Browns, outside of Ohio, I think 98% of people will be rooting for the Lions because of the Sean Watson stuff. You're right. That'll be, that has kind of been swept under the rug for the past two years due to his injuries and his suspension, but it'll certainly be back in the forefront if he's thrown around at the Super Bowl. But we got to get there first and see Frank.
We'll see. Hey, where can people follow you and all of your work with Yahoo sports? Yeah.
Best place is, uh, you know, yahoo.com obviously, uh, slash NFL, but you know, ex formerly Twitter at Yahoo Schwab, a good way to get me there. Hey, Frank, thank you so much. If we get that Super Bowl, I might shut it to you. Probably not, but I might, I'll consider it Frank. It'd be amazing. Wouldn't it?
It would be, it would be. We'll catch you on down the line. Okay. Appreciate it. No doubt about it. That Frank Schwab from Yahoo sports covers all things NFL.
Uh, I agree with him. I don't know if I'm going to put the lions into the, uh, the, the Super Bowl right now. They can certainly do it. They will one step away.
And look, we saw what the Browns did last year with that defense and Joe Flacco taking over if Deshaun Watson is, I don't know, 80% of the player he was before he even got to Cleveland, then yeah, I think they have a chance and shot as well without a shadow of a doubt, but that type of Super Bowl, they should just call it the underdog bowl. I don't know what they call it, but it'd be pretty wild. It's the JR sport re-show here with you on the infinity sports network.

We make sharp durable blades and sell them at honest prices for as low as two dollars each. We care about quality so much that we do some crazy things like buy a world-class German blade factory.
Obsessing over every detail means we're confident in offering a hundred percent quality guarantee. Millions of guys have already made the switch to Harry's so thank you if you're one of them. And if you're not we hope you give us a try with this special offer. Get a Harry's starter set with a five blade razor, weighted handle, shave gel, and a travel cover.

It is the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the infinity sports network. Thank you much oh thank you so much I should say to Frank Schwab from Yahoo Sports for joining us in the last break. He covers all things NFL and I don't want to say the craziest thing he said because it's not all that crazy but he actually brought up a scenario where we might have a Super Bowl involving the Browns and the Lions.
Wow we'll talk about that for a minute at the top of the hour. Yes I will bring you a new top six list. Unfortunately with the injury to JJ McCarthy, the Minnesota Vikings, with Sam Darnold at the helm let's just say things are probably not going to be good although maybe Sam Darnold can go out and surprise us all. We also learned Matthew Judon is no longer a member of the New England Patriots. He's going to be on his way to Atlanta in exchange for a third round pick.
Apparently they are looking into some type of contract extension and so we'll keep you up to date with that although maybe it doesn't get resolved tonight maybe it'll take the rest of this week we'll get into that. Top six list at the top of the hour. Top six NFL teams that are screwed at the quarterback position but I need you to thank O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs get guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from their professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Hickey, Lions Brown Super Bowl. Who are you rooting for? Wow I would probably say the Lions. Yeah have to right?
Yeah I think definitely easier quarterback to root for for sure easier head coach to root for yeah I would go Detroit. If Dan Campbell wins a Super Bowl they got to have Kleenex ready right? That man is gonna be balling his eyes out oh my god he might be on his hands and knees crying that might be that type of waterworks. I think you're right yeah I didn't know where you're going there I think you're right. Well what do you mean Kleenex for what?
I had no idea. Tears? Tears? That like raining down from the the I don't know I had no idea cleaning up yeah just crying just crying and I think you're right he's very for how big he is that's equally how big of an emotional person he is. Well you know it's either gonna go one way or the other he's either gonna smash a wall in or he's just gonna be crying like this there's probably no middle ground with this guy none none whatsoever. He would be the one head coach that instead of getting the Gatorade bath on him he'd be the one like doing it himself to like players. Oh yeah he would absolutely he would he'd be throwing away.
Turn the tables. Yeah and you know what outside of maybe the offensive and defensive linemen he is probably bigger than everybody else on the team that that's probably a fact this man is a huge man former NFL player former tight end Dan Campbell still built like a truck and look if the Lions go to the Super Bowl yeah I would be rooting for the Lions I certainly would you know I'm rooting for them I know right now they're dealing with this injury uh Jameer Gibbs is hurt dealing with a hamstring issue right now but their head coach ever the optimist Dan Campbell he feels he feels good about it he spoke to 97-1 the ticket shout outs to the people all the great people in Detroit I like the people at the ticket Dan Campbell said we good with Jameer Gibbs we good. Two days ago my phone's blowing up I got all these people uh hit me up about man what happened to Gibbs what oh the guy TA it's done you know all these reports are out and I'm like okay so anyway I think we're gonna be fine here all right so I think we'll be good. Nothing to sweat there was a lot I don't want to say concern the man ended up being a pro bowler in his first season there were a lot of people saying oh my god how the hell did the Lions select a running back at 12th overall when they took him and hey here we are man's a pro bowler he has certainly earned his keep and Dan Campbell old gambling man Dan Campbell the man who went to an NFC championship game last year the man who was one step away from a Super Bowl Dan Campbell said I think we can be even better. I'm not an idiot you know and we got to keep this train going and uh you're only as good as your last game your last season and uh we got more we got to push for but the fans have been unbelievable and they really have embraced this. Man Hickey what there was what was the lead last year like like 25 24 to 7 24 7 at halftime the largest blown lead in the NFC title game he said he's not Hickey you I'm not going to tell that man he's an idiot I will not I will not I'm not either I'm staying far away from those words that dude will you'll bite my kneecap which one is it snap your kneecaps bite your ankles which one is it uh no definitely bite your kneecaps and then take a chunk out of you coming up to um yeah get knocked down on the way back up biting the kneecap there aren't too many introductory press conferences that I remember I remember what the hell he said and I remember Nick Sirianni stumbling over his words are there any other press conferences that you remember that are actually notable by a coach I couldn't tell you a word but I hate to say this this looks terrible oh Adam Gase oh that's with the ice holy smokes looked like he had like a double espresso before he went up onto the stage but that's what came to my mind I'm sorry what were you thinking it wasn't words so I thought about his facial expressions who are you talking about well I'll stay in New York I remember being impressed with Joe Judge's introductory press conference I said wow this guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about this guy's gonna bring order discipline to the Giants like they actually know what they're doing um that lasted like five games and then I was proven wrong but I remember like oh that's it sounded good you know I don't remember I remember a lot of people were enthusiastic I don't recall his words either I do remember Ben McAdoo suit another former New York Giant coach people made fun of his suit they said hey you're the head coach of the New York Giants they and he's a he's a big man he's still a big man they said his suit was too big what are y'all doing it wasn't tailored enough I guess right wasn't tailored at all oh what are you swimming in that thing he got got it off the wall he's a football coach what do you wear a suit for that's true don't care and I it's coaching kind of filed suit oh yeah I guess people you got to pick apart anything the man can't wear a tailored suit then there's a lack of detail he's not detail oriented you got to make a first impression hey these these things matter they really do and so hey good luck to Dan Campbell hopefully he goes back to another NFC championship game and can hold on to the lead maybe he goes to the Super Bowl and Lions fans they deserve it man they have sucked for ever they deserve something nice it's the JR sport re-show here with you on the infinity sports network we come back I'm sorry I'm not talking about anything nice I'm gonna tell you about some NFL teams that are basically screwed this upcoming season and it's because of their quarterback top six NFL teams screwed at the quarterback position in 2024 it's a new top six list I do it every Wednesday the JR sport re-show the infinity sports network don't move Christy Pierce-Rampone here former member of the U.S. women's national soccer team three-time gold medalist two-time world cup champion and part of the 99 team that won the women's world cup igniting passion for soccer everywhere on mom to two teenage girls and quality time together is prime time we love to cook and I have an obsession healthy one of course with cooking utensils where do I turn Amazon prime to get them fast and when they arrive where do I turn to prime to stream the best cooking shows and then for dessert what do we do the rampone team streams each of us gets to be the captain and pick the show right now we're all over British TV part of a prime subscription I think a trip to the UK is in the future and of course we'll get all we need for that trip from workout clothes to raincoats from plaids to luggage from travel guides to umbrellas from streaming to shopping it's on prime visit amazon visit amazon.com slash prime to get more out of whatever you're into that's amazon.com slash prime listen as selenia tells us why she chose to vaccinate her daughter I definitely felt like the pros far outweighed the cons the diseases that I am protecting my child against they're still here and at the end of the day it's my job as a mother to keep my child safe talk to your child's doctor and learn more at yvaccines.com brought to you by Merck you sit in traffic now but later there's an ice cold reward medulla the mark of a fighter you've earned this rich golden lager with a crisp refreshing taste because you know all your patience is paid out in gold you remain calm through haunts bumper to bumper and people yelling come on you are a fighter and medulla is your reward medulla the mark of a fighter trick responsibly beer imported by crown import chicago illinois
