My pleasure to be here with you tonight watching the National Championship game, getting to talk some football. I've enjoyed every second of it. I'm just sitting back and enjoying that ride, baby. Oh, well, thank you.

I forgot my train of thought, Jack, but it's OK. Anyway, as you mentioned, the National Championship is going on right now. Michigan leading Washington 17 to 3. About seven minutes to go here in the first half. Michigan got two scores right out of the gate in the first quarter. Donovan Edwards, two rushing touchdowns.

Big ones. A 41-yard rushing touchdown to make it seven to nothing. And then a 46-yard rushing touchdown to make it 14 to 3 Michigan. Michigan then also put another field goal up on the board. About five minutes and change left here in the first half. In Washington, we've been looking for the bombs. We've been looking for the long throws, the tosses. Michigan keeping them at bay so far.

Washington with only three points. A lot left in this game. We will certainly see what happens.

We'll certainly see what takes place. Just search JR Sportbrief and boom, I pop right the hell up. We have had a very busy show. It's been a very busy Monday coming off of a very busy weekend. We know the NFL regular season, it's done. By the time we see another NFL game this upcoming weekend, it's going to be all wild card action. Getting started on Saturday, ending on Monday night when the Eagles go down to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers. So we'll get into that momentarily.

We know about the news that has kind of come down throughout the course of the day. Arthur Smith, no longer head coach of the Falcons. Ron Rivera, no longer head coach of the Washington Commanders. Bill Belichick is still the head coach for right now of the New England Patriots. That might change over the next several days, weeks, as both he and Robert Kraft figure out what happens next for the Patriots. We talked about Tiger Woods, his relationship with Nike after 27 years, half a billion dollars.

That relationship is over. Aaron Rodgers says that the New York Jets, he's glad that this past season is over. He can't wait for next year. We heard from some of the players who will be participating in the wild card. We spoke to Lionel Willingham from 106.7, the fan in Washington, D.C. to learn what the hell is going on with the commanders.

What are they going to be doing into the future? So it has been a very, very busy show. If you want to participate, you can call up. It's 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I'm also everywhere on the Internet at JR Sportbrief. As we continue on here in this hour, obviously we'll keep you updated on the college football national championship game.

Michigan still leading 17-3. I do want to get into an NBA player, a future Hall of Famer, who let everybody know today that he was actually thinking of retiring last month. Wild stuff.

I'll tell you about that. But I want to stick on some NFL action. Because before we went to break, we talked about some teams that have been surprising everybody. I didn't think the Green Bay Packers were going to be in the postseason, one year removed from Aaron Rodgers. I didn't think Jordan Love was going to throw 32 touchdowns on his way to taking on the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas.

I didn't think so. I didn't think that we'd see the Rams in the postseason with Matthew Stafford leading away. I didn't think the Lions would be this good. God bless them for picking up where they left last year.

It's nice. But there is a team that appears to be going in the opposite direction. There is a team in the NFL that reached the peak last season and almost won it all.

And it seems like right now this season has just gone into a valley. It's the Philadelphia Eagles. The runner up to the championship last year. We know who walked away with it.

It was Patrick Mahomes. And here we are in a space right now where the Eagles are just rolling into the postseason. And when I say rolling, like a car falling apart. You know nowadays with these electric vehicles, if you have one, you know it. You don't hear that car coming. Electric vehicle, man, that car turns on, there's no engine, there's no blast, there's none of it. You could get, electric car could sneak up on you and you not know it's behind you.

The Eagles have done the opposite. They've come down the road like a car that needs repairs. A clunker. Something making noise, if it goes above a certain mile per hour, all it's doing is now shaking.

And you don't know whether or not it's going to get to the destination safely. That's where the Eagles are right now. They finished the season 11-6. They finished the season losing 5 out of their last 6 games. They lose to the New York Giants to close the season 27-10.

And then they almost lost. Jalen Hurts. This man, if you saw the photo, the video of it, let's just say his finger wasn't where his middle finger was supposed to be. It was dislocated.

They had x-rays and checked it out after the fact. And good on them, good on him and the Eagles. There's not a major injury, it's not broken. Jalen Hurts is okay. We'll have time to recover, especially with the Eagles' game against Tampa Bay taking place on Monday night.

He's cool. Jalen Hurts not necessarily worried about his dislocated finger. He says despite how bad they've been as a team, all they need is a chance.

This is what Hurts had to say. We're going to put our hands on deck to do that. It's simply win or go home. Yeah. I mean the way the Eagles were going throughout the course of the season, you would have thought that they would have had a home playoff game. No, they got to go to Tampa and take on Baker Mayfield?

What? Yeah, and this is Tampa Bay. They won the NFC South, and I know the NFC South stinks, but they come out on top. Baker Mayfield is leading the way.

I know he wants to stick around in Tampa, get himself a long-term deal, long-term contract. And earlier this year, like early in the season, the Bucks, they lost to the Eagles, but this is a different Eagles team. The defense stinks. Throughout the course of the year, it feels like the Eagles were just, I don't want to say running on fumes. They were a tale of two halves type team. They played everything close to the wire, the Eagles. It seems like every game they got by by the skin of their teeth, they had to come from behind, and it seemed like at the end of the year, it caught up with them.

I don't know if they were in a lull. I don't know if they've checked out on head coach Nick Sirianni. I mean, even Nick Sirianni has had to answer questions about whether or not the team is done with him. Nick Sirianni has had to answer questions about, hey, if you don't have success here in the postseason, if you continue to look like an embarrassment, you might be gone. Nick Sirianni says, I'm not, I'm not worried about such things, but here's the deal. Here's the reality.

Here's the facts. Jalen Hurts dealing with that hand injury. By the time Monday comes around, do I think he'll be fine?

Yeah, I think he will. AJ Brown, he went down with a knee injury. And yeah, they say his knee injury doesn't appear serious, but God bless him on having an extra day to recover.

That's a problem. The defense, especially the cornerbacks, they've been hurt. They've been old.

They've been exposed. Somebody like James Bradbury, it seems like he left his best years, I don't know, with the New York Giants. Darrius Slay, God bless him.

It appears that he going to be on his way back. They've certainly needed him. The linebackers have been hurt. The pass rush that helped drive them to a Super Bowl last year.

Defensive linemen look like they've aged. Eagles aren't competing with no 49ers. It says enough right now that the Philadelphia Eagles have to go out there and compete with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We got a lot of teams heading into the postseason this weekend. We now know in the new NFL format for the playoffs, we got one team and one team only in each conference that gets a bye. And these two teams are at the top of the heap. You got the Baltimore Ravens and you have the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles were supposed to be competing with the 49ers this postseason.

And we have better teams right now who are on a hotter run than the Eagles. And Jalen Hurts, and I said this before the break, we talked about Justin Fields and how the general manager Ryan Polis wanted him to improve as a passer, how he wanted to get better. Justin Fields should take a page out of Jalen Hurts' book. How he's improved at every step along the way, dating to his exit from Alabama. Justin Fields this past season just looks blah. He looks like he hasn't improved even when he's been out there on the field. And Jalen Hurts, this season for him, stinks.

The turnovers, the interceptions, 15 of them. It seems like he's not necessarily going backwards, but he's hit a roadblock as Washington thinks that they scored. And it appears that there might be a flag. A couple of seconds left here on the board on the first half.

We'll give you an update. Yeah, Washington had a score that was nullified. Oh, Washington touchdown, holding on the defense, so that does count. Jalen McMillan, a three-yard touchdown reception to finally get Washington on the board. With an extra point, Michigan will lead 17-10. An 11-place, 61-yard drive that took four minutes by the Washington Huskies. The score is now 17-10.

Yeah, maybe Washington will come back and do something the Eagles probably won't this year. And that's win. It's the JR Sportbree show here with you on CBS Sports Radio, 855-212 for CBS. It's 855-212 for CBS. We'll give you another update on this game as they get ready to move into halftime with the national championship. And then, I do have to mention this, because this is news that happened today that had nothing to do with the NFL. It happens to do with a future Hall of Famer here in the NBA, who said on record that about a month ago, he considered retirement and that Adam Silver had to talk him out of it. I'm going to tell you who it is if you're not aware on the other side of the break. I do want to let you know that you should thank O'Reilly Auto Parts for all your car care needs.

Get guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I'm going to tell you who almost quit the NBA on the other side. We'll give you an update on the national championship game between Michigan and Washington. It's the JR Sportbree show on CBS Sports Radio.

It's the JR Sportbree show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. College Football National Championship is going down in Houston, Texas, NRG Stadium. And right now, this very minute, they're at halftime. Michigan leads Washington 17-10.

17-10. For a while there, it looked like it was like, hey, when is Washington going to score? Where's the where's all of the offense that everybody talked about so much with Washington? And maybe they decide to turn things around in the second half. We got two big runs, two huge runs in the first quarter by Donovan Edwards, a 41 yard rushing touchdown to make it seven to nothing. And then Donovan Edwards rushed for another one, 46 yard rushing touchdown that made it 14-3 Michigan with about 42 seconds left in the first half. Jalen McMillan, he's on the receiving end of a three yard touchdown pass from Michael Penix Jr. to pull Washington on the board with their first touchdown. Michigan leads 17-10 at halftime. Maybe Washington, the offense will explode here in the second half.

Only time will tell. It's 8-5-5, 2-1-2 for CBS. That's 8-5-5, 2-1-2 for CBS. Man, we have talked so much football today with good reason. NFL regular season is over.

We're getting you all set and ready for wild card weekend. We got coaches who've been fired. We got guy. Well, we got a guy.

Real big deal. And Bill Belichick, we don't know what his status is. And then this was surprising to hear today. Yeah, Bill Belichick might be out the door.

We have no idea. There's an NBA player who revealed today that he was this close to retiring this past month. His name, Draymond Green. At this point, I think Draymond Green, I don't want to say delusional, I'll use the word clueless, out of touch with reality. Not familiar with like what is actually going on.

So here's the deal. We know why Draymond Green was suspended indefinitely. It's because he's punching people and slapping people and stepping on people. He has no form of formal behavior of a basketball player. He's performing like an MMA fighter when the going gets rough on the basketball court and sometimes not even.

Like when he swung and punched a Nurkic in the side of the head for no damn reason. And so he's suspended indefinitely. We know that Draymond Green was attending counseling sessions.

We don't know the full details, the who's, the what's, the why's. But over the weekend, as a matter of fact, yesterday, he was formally, formally reintroduced to the team. And stated, reinstated. He didn't play the Golden State Warriors.

Unfortunately, they did something that they've done a lot recently. They lost to Toronto 133 to 118. Draymond Green was there on the bench. It will take several games in time for him to be reacclimated before they put him back on the court. I guess he hasn't been working out. I guess he's just been attending counseling.

But that's besides the point. The Warriors stink. They have a record of 17 and 19. Draymond Green missed 12 games due to his indefinite suspension. Chris Paul, by the way, if you haven't heard, Chris Paul broke his hand. And I think this is the sixth time in his career that he's broken one of his two hands.

I guess trying to get all them damn steals is not good for him. Now he's old as dirt. He also, by the way, looks washed up. Klay Thompson looks washed up, inconsistent.

That's what happens when you get older. And the Warriors stink. And then you got somebody like Jonathan Kuminga, who's like, ah, Steve Kerr, reports that Steve Kerr, you know, he lost, he's lost faith in me.

And I'm like, damn. Golden State Warriors, man, it looks like they need to blow this up. Look at Steph Curry in the face and say, man, what you want to do? You want to stay? We want you to stay, but we ain't winning nothing. And so Draymond, who's been pretty quiet for a while now since his suspension, the one that he said, you know, I didn't mean to hit Nurkic.

I didn't mean to do it. He had his first podcast today in months. It's via the volume The Draymond Green Show. And he talked about his return. He talked about the past several weeks. And Draymond Green made it very clear that what he did was wrong.

Let me get that part out the way. Draymond Green said what I did was wrong. And then he said, in the process of talking to Adam Silver, that Draymond had another thought.

And the reason is mind boggling to me. This is Draymond Green from his own Draymond Green show. I had a conversation with Adam Silver, Commissioner R. Lee. I just told him, Adam, it's too much for me. Like, this is too much.

It's all becoming too much for me. And I'm going to retire. And Adam said, you're making a very rash decision.

And I won't let you do that. You know, we had a long, great conversation. Very helpful to me. Very thankful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam, who's more about helping you than hurting you or helping you than punishing you.

Or, you know, he's more about the players. Oh, my goodness. I saw that. I saw it first. I read it first. I read the comments. And then I watched the comments. And I had to go, is Draymond Green this clueless? And the answer is, is yes. I wish. And this is the part that really sucks.

You know, we have so many athlete podcasts. The part that sucks is that no one, there was no one there. This is just him straight talking to the camera with a microphone in his hand. There was no pushback.

There were no follow-ups. Because my question is, you've had too much. This has been too much. This has been a lot for you. What?

What is that? What is the thing that's been too much for you, Draymond Green? Too many people have been punching you in the groin. Too many people have been punching you in the side of the head.

Too many people have violated you in a violent way. Like, what are we doing here? And we don't have that answer.

And so what is it? What was too much for you, Draymond? The scrutiny? People questioning you? What was too much for you?

And what world here? And I'm not saying this is what he's portraying himself as. Are you the victim here? Have you been assaulted?

I think the answer is absolutely not all across the board. Now I got no problem personally with Draymond. I haven't spoken to him in years. Last time I actually spoke to him, I think he was still in college at Michigan State.

I think he just left school. And I know he had a problem hitting people. We've seen it play over and over again. Whether it's Sabonis, or his new friend LeBron James, or whether it's Nurkic, Donovan Mitchell, always looking for somebody to swing on, push around, kick in the nuts, drag out of the air.

You've had too much of what? Yeah, good on Adam Silver. Yeah, it would have been a rash decision.

It would have been a real cop-out. Draymond Green suspended, so he quits. Why? Because you can't punch people anymore? Because you can't kick folks? Because you can't play the game of basketball without assaulting people? Now I know there's a thin line between being aggressive on the basketball court and being violent. Most players can be aggressive without resorting to, you know, cheap back-alley tactics. And I guess we were to really learn who Draymond Green is if his suspension, or his indefinite suspension, he just said, I can't play like this.

I'm out. Draymond Green said he was also bothered that his actions led people to question Steph Curry and his own leadership. That, oh my God, Steph Curry can't control Draymond Green. Steph Curry, bad leader. Draymond Green said that bothered him. That Steph Curry, who was an excellent leader, caught some strays because of his leadership. I've learned one thing here over the past, I don't know, 18 hours. And that's that Draymond Green, you know, I know you're a little out there, right?

But today I learned that he is completely delusional. That being suspended for punching another dude in the head, and assaulting other people, slapping people, and punching Jordan Poole. That this suspension for him, which is now his fifth career suspension, that this was too much for Draymond Green. Well next time don't think about retiring. Next time don't just talk to Adam Silver about it. Next time, Draymond, just do us all a favor. Quit. Announce it on your podcast.

Just go away. 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS. Manny is here from Flushing. You're on CBS Sports Radio, the JR Sport Reef Show. What's up, my man? How you doing? I'm good, Manny.

What's on your mind? My God. Draymond Green is being Draymond Green. He doesn't know how to say be accountable. He's 33 years old. He's acting like a little boy. He's a little kid. Come on, man.

I mean, when I heard about it, I kind of started laughing because this dude doesn't get it. Yeah, I don't, I want to, and maybe, and I don't expect it. I was going to say maybe somewhere down the line someone will ask him the question, what was too much for you?

What was too much that you wanted to retire? Was this, the punishment was too much? Is the scrutiny that you're receiving is too much? It's well deserved.

You wouldn't receive it if you didn't behave the way you did. But I don't think anyone will ever ask him the question. Draymond Green will return. He'll be back. And this is also, I don't want to say up for debate, but should the Golden State Warriors keep him around? And then the opposite is, what teams would want him? I mean, is he going to end up on the Los Angeles Lakers?

I mean, I don't know where the fit is. There's just a lot of question marks about Draymond Green, his future, and ultimately the future of the Golden State Warriors, because all things considered, is it, is it time to call it a wrap? If I got to look at Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, do I believe that there's another championship there? The answer is no, Manny. I don't see it.

Yeah, it's amazing. You know, you think about this Warriors team. I mean, two years ago we thought, okay, this team had a shot, but now all of a sudden, you know, like you said, with the Draymond situation, Klay is not who he used to be. Steph is Steph, but he don't know how he's going.

He's up there. And they don't know how to manage their young players. I mean, your committee, Dominguez was complaining about minutes. Andrew Wiggins is struggling. I heard that he may, like the Warriors could open up for trade him. I mean, this Warriors team, I mean, they're a mess. I mean, it kind of reminds me four years ago when KD left, everything just plummeted with this team. Yeah, we're going to have to find out. I think we'll get an inkling as we move towards the trade deadline next month, you know, what will happen. Thank you so much, Manny, for calling from Flushing. And it doesn't help that Chris Paul, who is a trade asset, he got a broken hand.

He won't be ready to go for about another month, maybe a month and a half. And this I found absolutely hilarious. Clay Thompson was asked, hey, why do you have optimism about moving forward? And he's just like, well, you know, I'm here and Steph Curry's here and Draymond is coming back.

And I saw a video, a response online. Someone found a commercial of old Dan Marino, old Emmett Smith, old Randy Moss and old Jerry Rice filming a commercial where they had on their traditional uniforms. And they said, this is what Clay Thompson sounds like talking about their old back, because at this point they're all old. Steph Curry is in a world by himself. You're old and inconsistent coming off of injuries. And Draymond Green has just proven to be completely a nut.

It's the JR Sport Reshow here on CBS Sports Radio. Marco Belletti, what the hell went through your mind when you heard Draymond Green say, I almost retired because this is too much? Two things. One, you're a liar because I don't believe that this that actually would lead you to retire. I think you'd walk away from the contract.

So I don't buy that you even thought this for half a beat. Two, I also don't understand why the suspension is over. You suspended him indefinitely. You said to get counseling to see that he can get through whatever issues that are leading to him acting the way he is on the floor and being flat out, I mean, violent and a danger to other players.

And the first words out of your mouth is I contemplated retirement because this is too much. What the hell made you think that you can put him back on the floor? So the suspension was a farce. I blame Adam Silver. I blame the Warriors.

Nothing changed. You sent them away for a three week vacation and Draymond Green is going to be Draymond Green. And he told you that in so many words. It's too much for him.

Now who punches him in the head and sets him straight? I'm not an advocate for violence. This is all in my imagination. It's not real. I'm not advocating for it. Maybe he gets punched in the head and then he really retires.

Maybe, right? Forced retirement? Like I said, I don't buy any of this. That's why the whole thing from the start, I had a little bit, this is my fault I guess, I had a little bit of hope when they didn't just suspend him for four or five games and just took it where this is going to be Draymond being Draymond, they actually said, you know what, enough with this. We need to step back. You're in definite suspension and we need to see some growth.

I actually thought that it would take some time. They didn't do anything. Three weeks they sat him down for 12 games and then what? You get to come back and do whatever the hell you want as soon as you come back. It's nonsense.

It's garbage. And they hid behind things that are actual real issues with people all over the place of mental health issues. And they hid behind that to give you, we just don't want Draymond on the floor for a couple weeks. Yeah. I always found that to be quite a farce because we got a lot of, what does he got?

Anger management? I would guess so, right? I mean what else? And the NBA hasn't disclosed. They always just said his other issues.

It's like we don't know these other issues. Look, I don't know his personal life, but from all accounts, he seems like he's fine off the floor. He seems like a normal functioning human being the majority of the time. So that's not to me mental health. That's you're a jerk.

There's two different things. So again, I don't believe that you've changed. So basically what you're telling me is, yeah, I'm a jerk. I shouldn't have been a jerk, I guess, but you know what?

I'm going to do whatever I want anyway. And it's easy for them to justify, well, he seems okay because he was always okay. He's fine when he's off the floor. Yeah. He said that over the years when he's been, I guess, a little too aggressive. This is the way that we won championships. This is the way that I've played.

This is how I've garnered the success. Well, now y'all suck. And now the team is old. And now Klay Thompson looks washed and you ain't the same guy either.

And now you, it's, I'm real interested. This is one of the storylines in the NBA I'm really looking forward to. What happens over the next month with the Golden State Warriors and really the next month Chris Paul got a broken hand. This guy comes back from the suspension. Klay Thompson is so inconsistent. There's, there's, there's no way out of the woods. I think things are going to continue to get worse before they get better for the Golden State Warriors.

I don't think there's no magic bullet out here getting ready to save them. It's the JR Sportbree show here with you on CBS Sports Radio 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS. If you want to holler at me before I have to absolutely roll out. It's the JR Sportbree show here on CBS Sports Radio 855-212-4CBS is the number.

That's 855-212-4CBS. A college football national championship. It just came out at halftime. There's about a little less than 13 minutes here in the third quarter. Michigan leads Washington 17 to 10. Michigan has the ball.

Let's see if they can go out there and extend the lead. I also need to let you know this. We talked a lot of NFL tonight.

I will get back to your calls in a second. I need to let you know that you can stream the NFL on Westwood One for free sponsored by AutoZone. All season long you can listen to every Westwood One broadcast of the NFL live on the NFL app by asking Alexa to open Westwood One Sports or on the Odyssey app. Get in the zone AutoZone. AutoZone's free battery testing and charging is available for free at your local AutoZone.

Get in the zone AutoZone. Restrictions apply. Right before we went to break we talked about Draymond Green. His comments earlier today.

He had one of his first podcast appearances in months. And he basically said yeah back when I received the suspension or when the incident took place I told Adam Silver that this was too much for me. That he was going to retire.

And Adam Silver talked him out of it for making a rash decision. It's like come on. What's too much for you? We don't know what's too much for him.

But whatever it is, he sounds nutty man. Like come on. You ain't no victim here. You're the one who's been doling out punishments. 855-212-4CBS. Ralph is here in Miami. You're on the JR Sport Reshow.

Go ahead Ralph. Good morning JR. I mean good afternoon JR. You're no longer in the morning show.

But anyway I want to say really quick. I don't believe that his word or sincere JR because in a way for him to go to a podcast and sit down and really say that. To be honest with you, he's not even giving any detail why he said that he had too much. So I think he's just doing that just for the media attention.

Just dream on being dream on. Just coming back. Just trying to get people to notice him again. That's why I feel like he just brought that conversation up. That's my point for you JR. Well thank you Ralph. Appreciate you for calling from Miami.

Much love. Yeah of course he's doing it for attention. Why else would you sit down with a camera in front of you? Why else would Draymond have a podcast? Why else would Draymond work with Turner Sports which is now Warner? He does want the attention. I mean who the hell else is sitting around in the NBA Finals while the team is winning getting their asses whooped.

Giving you after game reports. Like he wants to be involved in media. He will be involved in media. Draymond Green is a dude who's talked about new media.

But here's the thing. There's certain elements of media I don't even think he understands or gets yet. It's not so much about athlete talk directly to fan. I mean there are details. There are questions. There's follow ups. Being challenged at certain points. I mean therein lies the difference I guess I should say between just someone who does quote on quote media versus someone who understands journalism or balance.

It's much different. Chris is calling from Alaska. You're on CBS Sports Radio.

Hey how you doing? Last time I called you was this time last year when the Seahawks would go deep in the playoffs. Well we're not going to talk about that this year. What are they doing this year?

Oh they're going to regroup and revamp. But what I want to talk about is Draymond Green when Adam Silver called him. He should have said hey you know what we don't want you playing basketball anymore. Why don't you call up my buddy Gary Bettman and learn how to skate and play some hockey in the NHL because they allow fighting every game. So you'd be perfect in that league. Okay.

Well maybe Adam Silver considered that. I don't think so though. Anyways that's all I have. Take care. Well thank you Chris for calling from Alaska.

Thank you Chris for coming through with Comedy Hour. Thank you. Yeah no maybe if Draymond Green learned how to skate you know be six foot six seven whatever he is skating around punching people in the head.

Yeah it might work. I'll tell you this much. Bob Meyers had the right idea to leave the Golden State Warriors when he did because the Golden State Warriors are just I don't want to call them a disaster.

I really want to know what they look like over the next month. What happens with Draymond. Does Clay continue to stink. There's just so many question marks and this is this is the funny part that Bob Meyers is now contributing to ESPN. And earlier today we learned that Bob Meyers is going to be working with the owner of the Washington commanders to help them find a new executive before they find a new coach. Or maybe even I don't know keep around their current GM Mayhew. And so Joshua Harris the owner of the new owner of the commanders he basically explained why he added the former executive from the Warriors.

And this is what he had to say. Bob Meyers is a winner like who wouldn't want him on your team trying to help your franchise. He knows how to identify talent. He knows how to build winning franchises winning cultures and he's obviously not a football person. He's not been around football but he's an amazing sports executive and I'm really happy to have him helping. He'll be around as an adviser to me. He's not going to be involved with X's and O's but he'll be involved through the search process and beyond. As it relates to the Washington commanders helping us build an amazing franchise an amazing culture and a winning culture. See look at that transferable skills you know one from a GM president to advising on how to find the next one.

And so maybe as Chris from Alaska just said maybe I'm wrong. Maybe maybe Draymond skills can be transferable if he learns how to skate. I'm sure throwing a roundhouse will work out. I don't know if we want to put Draymond on skates.

He's also been known to you know maybe throw a couple of kicks that that would probably be lethal. We don't need that. You've been listening to the J.R. sport re-show here with you on CBS Sports Radio Michigan just kicked the field goal Michigan now leads Washington 20 to 10. There's about 11 minutes or so left here in the third quarter.

Let's see if Washington can inch closer and walk away with a victory. Either way we got a lot to talk about tomorrow with this man Harbaugh. Is he coming? Is he going? Is he staying?

That'll be another question regardless of whether or not Michigan wins. Jack thank you for a good night. Appreciate your help okay. My pleasure J.R. No problem. Listen folks if you missed a minute of the show hit rewind on the free Odyssey app.
