It is the J.R. Sport Brief show on CBS Sports Radio. Thank you to everybody tuned in, locked in all over North America. People on the East Coast, the West Coast, down south here with me in Atlanta, my people up north with super producer and host Dave Shepherd, everybody everywhere. We're going to be here with you for one more hour. Thank you to everybody who tuned in from the beginning. I get started every single weeknight at 10 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Pacific.

Shout outs to people listening in Hawaii, Alaska, the guy who calls up from Europe. I appreciate you. Like I said, one more hour of the show. Congratulations to the Lions. They sit at the top of the NFC North so far to start the season tonight. They beat the Packers 34 to 20 and then congratulations to the Baltimore Orioles. They beat the Red Sox two to nothing. And the Baltimore Orioles win 100 games. They got the AL East on lock. They go into the postseason for the first time since 2014. So amongst all of the craziness in sports, of which there's always some.

I mean, the New York Jets are still defending themselves against Joe Namath and. You got Damian Lillard, it was reported today, you know, he he said, well, I can't get traded back to Miami, so I can't get traded to Miami. Can I go back to the Blazers? The Blazers said, no, we don't want you back.

And he traded him to Milwaukee instead. So it's a lot of wild stuff going on. And then this hour, I mentioned this last hour as well. I want to share with you Travis Hunter hanging out with the gentleman. If we want to call him a gentleman who hit him with the dirty play, lacerated his liver. They look to be best of buddies. I want to share their commentary with you.

I mean, they went bowling. They wanted to let you know that life is bigger than football. And so we'll hear from them this hour as well. If you, yes, you listening want to talk to me, it's eight five five two one two four CBS. That's eight five five two one two four CBS.

I'm also online everywhere at J.R. Sport Brief. Hey, Shep, you the game ended up being OK. You know, it wasn't a complete blowout like the the twenty seven to three at halftime. The Packers gave us some type of life.

But ultimately, Jordan Love, he got he got more to learn, you know? Yeah, I would agree. And again, he is I think he's actually exceeded expectation. I think most people feel pretty good about where the Packers are at. This is just the Lions here.

Obviously, you know, they draft gives really high. But David Montgomery is a proven running back in the Packers. They did nothing in the running game. And so, I mean, there was one point midway through the third quarter.

They had just a total of 10 rushing yards compared to the hundreds of yards that the Lions put up in Lambeau. And there is a momentum shift. You talked about Sacramento. The difference is and I would say it's more of a similarity when you hire the right guy.

All things are possible. We saw that with the Rams. J.R. Jeff Fisher, many people argue, is a Hall of Fame caliber coach, especially on the defensive side of the football. They could never get over the hump.

They were always seven and nine or eight and eight. Sean McVay gets there, gets to them to a division win and gets to the playoffs with the Jared Goff in year two. It's the Dan Campbell effect.

That's what this comes down to. And the Packers, Matt Lafleur, I don't know if this is the answer to long term, J.R. I know he's missed a regular season, but he's not the guy to really bring them over the top.

Yeah, well, I mean, between he and his brother, I mean, it's never really they never receive any any any love too much. But the Lions go into Lambeau. They beat the Packers.

This is the fourth straight time that they do so. David Montgomery, who Shep mentioned, rushed for one hundred and twenty one yards to go along with three touchdowns. The Lions sacked Jordan Love five times.

They were all up in the space without having to blitz early on. And so it was actually admirable that Jordan Love just put points up on the board at the end of the game. Unfortunately, when it it looked like they might get back into it, they threw an interception with Love. Jordan Love threw an interception and that was pretty much all that she she wrote.

And so this was a complete domination, man. Half time, the score was twenty seven to three. The Lions had two hundred eighty four yards at halftime. The Packers only had twenty one. That was at the half. And the man of the game, David Montgomery, three touchdowns tonight. He didn't play this past Sunday as the Lions beat up on the Falcons here in Atlanta. But tonight, David Montgomery was out there.

His hip was feeling fine. He got busy. Three touchdowns.

A matter of fact, let's listen to him. The first one was in the first quarter. It put the Lions up 14 to three.

All of these pieces courtesy of the Lions radio network. Golf up under center. Montgomery, the loan back behind him reported in motion to the left. Gough turns, gives to Montgomery, left side finds a crease, spins into the end zone, touchdown Detroit Lions.

The left side just opened up and five followed his blocking right to the house. And then he had another one. This is still in the first half. David Montgomery, second rushing touchdown of the game. It made the score twenty four to three.

Golf up under center. Montgomery, the loan back behind him, second and goal from the packer to Montgomery again, cuts it left to the house, touchdown Detroit Lions. David Montgomery, second touchdown of the night. The Lions extend their lead. What a first half by this football team.

And then he had another one. This time in the fourth quarter, it made the score thirty four to seventeen. Fourth and goal from the one for the Lions.

Golf up under center. Single back is Montgomery. Gough takes turns, gives to Montgomery, straight up the gut, who put his way in, touchdown Detroit Lions. David Montgomery powers it home and the Lions extend their lead. Go Lions. Go Lions.

Yeah, Lions fans got people, got Lions fans calling me up. Jared Gough spoke after the game. You want to know who he was asked about? David Montgomery.

Listen to this man. Big him up. He was doing a whole job and another line was doing a whole job opening up for him. But even on the runs that weren't quite as clean, he was making something happen and was certainly kind of the engine for us today and getting us going. Shep talked about Dan Campbell. Hey, Dan, how are you feeling about this victory? That was outstanding. You know, that was that was a fun one for the guys. And, you know, I really it was a total team effort, you know, and it's easy to go through here and it's actually not easy to go through here and start picking out individual players. There's a ton of guys that played really well.

And Dan Campbell is like. Even when he subdued, he sounds like he's like on five hour energy drinks, like he had five of them at one time. I wonder what would happen. Shep, what happens if an individual takes five five hour energy drinks at one time? Do you like not go to sleep for two weeks? What happens? Do they got to go to the doctor or heart attack?

Like what happens? Yeah, you would think it has something to do with your blood sugar, obviously energy level. I don't think anything can have an impact on Dan Campbell. I just think he's revved up from jump. I don't know if there's any substance you can give that guy that is going to change his disposition. He is solid through and through.

You never hear him. So I know I know he's a little bit subdued there, but that guy just exudes passion, man. I would run through a wall for him.

I think his whole team would. Well, it's maybe it's just drinking coffee. Maybe just lots and lots of coffee.

And you know what? Whatever he's drinking, he's he's losing that fat because that guy is all muscle. Yeah, you don't want to see that dude in an alley between him and Rob Salah. Well, he's bigger than Rob Salah. Rob Salah ain't playing the league.

Except one's natural coach though. When do you have time to look at film? Are you like on the treadmill looking at film? I mean, well, we know one's not looking at film, JR. Who's not looking at film? You can't come out and even pretend to inspire the troops and want to get, you know, your your your confidence in that quarterback and have that be unwavering if you're watching film. The way he talks about Zach Wilson, he ain't watching.

I ain't talking about Rob Salah. What are you talking about? Well, you said he watches. You said you made a comparison. I'm talking about Dan Campbell. OK, but then you said, you know, how these guys look the way they do and watch film.

And I'm telling you, well, one, we know the answer. Salah doesn't watch crap. Well, forget about it.

We ain't talking about them losing. I mentioned him being Jack. I'm not talking about Zach Wilson right now. OK, so Dan Campbell. OK, so Dan Campbell, how he does it.

I do not know. What I'd like to think as a head coach, and I wish more guys did this, is he seems to delegate properly. So good on him. And man, Ben, Ben Johnson, I believe. That's the guy that I believe was up for a lot of head coaching opportunities. The coordinator, that has a lot to do with their success as well. So he just shows up to work on coffee and tells everybody to do something else? I'm not saying he shows up to work on coffee, but what I am saying is he understands that a head coach in the NFL is basically a really good CEO.

And he seems to be like a CEO more than he does an actual football mind, which is what they need. OK. All right, since you brought up the loser, you must want to talk about him, huh? I'm over here talking about a winner, and you want to go a little bit deeper into the Zach Wilson woods. Well, I know you got a lot of calls, so I wasn't inferring that we should talk about Zach Wilson and Joe Namath. God knows Joe Namath is getting enough love these days.

I mean, he's all over SNY during a rain delay. I mean, I'm seeing three-hour marathons of Joe Namath. Yeah, well, it's not like the New York Jets have too much more to look at from the past, now do they? That's a good point, but if they actually have the right quarterback with that defense, they can turn the season around. They're only one and two. The season is far from done.

They're just stubborn to a fault. Bro, they're going to suck the rest of the year, OK? Let's put it this way. Zach Wilson makes Justin Fields look like Cam Newton in 2015. Say that again? Zach Wilson is so bad, he makes Justin Fields look like Cam Newton back in 2015, when he was the greatest force we've ever had in the history of the football league.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd go that far with a disparity. Oh, JR, it's night and days. Justin Fields can at least move the football. I'm not saying turnovers are his best friend. But he can move the chain.

Zach Wilson can't do that if his life depended on it. All right, OK. All right, bunch of losers. OK. Talk about positive things. Positive teams.

I've mentioned Ben Johnson. Yeah, but after you wanted to talk about Rob Salah. Sorry, that was a chance to pile on. God knows I haven't piled on today, so I should... You want to talk about that again, too? You want to talk about that? No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not going that direction again. OK. Is there anybody here that has anything positive to say on the line, Shep? Let me see. You got to think about it?

State of the bill, state of the bill. So, listen, we're talking weeks two and week three, so it has been positive for them. Brooks Robinson? Yeah, I know my guy Rick in Baltimore is going to be positive. Gilbert's going to be positive about the Dolphins, historically 70 points.

Well, good. So let's talk to Gilbert. Hey, Gilbert, you're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, man?

Out of Miami. Hey, how you doing, guys? Good evening. Great show like always, man, at this time. Let me ask you a quick question. Do you think that we should just cancel the whole season and give the Dolphins the Lombardi Trophy?

What's your point? They're the best team in the NFL by far, man, by far. They play without water. They could have very easily put 100 points on Denver. I know the week before that they didn't win by much, but I'll tell you one thing. They look great on defense. They look great on offense.

I mean, they're putting up video game numbers. Can we settle on the fact that they are one of the best teams in the NFL right now? I mean, there are three teams in the league who have undefeated records.

They are one of the three. Can we just sit on that and not just say, oh, my God, they're the best team by far? The 49ers look absolutely amazing, and they have a longer track record of success over the past several years than the Dolphins. The Dolphins look good without a shadow of a doubt. Tua-Tanga Valoa has been able to stay upright. He hasn't been knocked around like a pinata.

You are correct. They were able to score 70 points without having Jill and Waddle out there. But let's slow down, okay? And they're running the ball, and they're running the ball.

There's a lot of balance, a balance attack. Let me tell you, I understand what you're saying, and I really didn't think much of the turnaround with Tua. But I got to tell you something, man. This coach, too, I'm telling you, they're lighting up the league. And three games in, like you're saying, they're lighting up the league. Yeah, they are, yes. Well, we know that. They are. Listen to me.

Listen. They are one of the best teams in the NFL here to start the season. They are not by far the best team in the league. Let's see how things continue with the season. I'm not prepared to just go, Hey, JR, don't you think we should give the Dolphins the Lombardi? I'm like, come on, man. You know better than that.

Let's actually live in reality, man. It's still September. I know, what are we at? A day away? Two days away? Let's see, when is October 1st? Sunday? Yeah, October 1st is Sunday, man.

Don't tell me. The Dolphins are by far the best team in the NFL. They're putting up video game numbers. So, are they going to do that every week? If the Dolphins were dropping 60 and 70 every single week, then yeah, I'd agree with you.

But can we at least be realistic? They're one of the best teams in the NFL right now. Let's see if they keep it up.

And when I say by keeping it up, I'm not expecting them to say, Here's 50, 60, and 70 points. Let's see if the offense still moves and the defense does the same. 8-5-5, 2-1-2 for CBS. It's 8-5-5, 2-1-2 for CBS. Eleanor, calling from Connecticut, you're on CBS Sports Radio.

What's up, Eleanor? Happy to be here, man. I recently started listening to your show. I mean, I'm pretty tragicized after that game trade.

But on a positive note, as someone who's a Miami Heat fan, I know how great Miami journalism is. And I'm right now looking at it right now. And this game, I think it might just be probably the game to watch this weekend. I'm just absolutely enamored with what could go on. Wait, wait, wait.

Eleanor, Eleanor, I'm confused. Did you talk about the Miami Heat and then you're telling me about a game this weekend? Yeah, I'm sorry.

I'm out of the way. I'm talking about the Bills right now. Oh, but did you mention Miami or am I bugging? No, you're not bugging. I'm a Miami Heat fan, but I'm talking about the Bills game.

Because I'm a Bills fan at the end of the day. Okay, I didn't get that part. Go ahead. You're good.

You're good. Yeah, no, I was just kind of giving a preface of Miami journalism and I'm just reading through it all. I still can't believe how crazy this game is in regards to it. It is anyone's game and it is... It's the game.

What's your thought? The Dolphins and the Bills, that's the game that I wish took place on Sunday night. Instead, America's going to have to watch the Chiefs smack up the Jets. And so that one o'clock game between the Dolphins and also the Bills, it'll be a good one. I mean, there are two teams coming off of blowouts.

People are looking at the Buffalo Bills to go backwards. It should be a good one. I will actually, and it's not because I don't like Miami, I think Buffalo is going to come out on top of that one. It'll be a good one. Let's see.

Yeah, I think so too. I think my biggest thought is I want to see what Josh Allen does. I think that's going to be the biggest thing. It's going to be A, does Josh Allen pick through this Miami defense? And B, does this Bills defense finally find the antidote to the Miami Dolphins, what seems to be a train rush, really? It's not going to be easy.

And thank you, Eleanor, for calling from Connecticut. It is not going to be easy. We know Tyreek Hill touches ball. Tyreek Hill can take ball to the house. And, yeah, Miami's offense is certainly dynamic. And let's see what happens.

I'm only giving the Bills the edge because they will be at home. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio, 855-212-4CBS. And in continuing on some positivity, we're going to go to Colorado, where a guy who had his liver lacerated is now hanging out with a dude who did it. I'll explain.

Plus, I'll talk to you. It's the JR Sport Brief Show, CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. I would rather have Penn State, Michigan, USC, UCLA win the national championship besides Alabama. But I'm glad Georgia beat the brakes off of them in using their intestines as jump ropes for celebration.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. I thought we were being positive. That's not positive. That sounded like something out of Mortal Kombat. Hey, shut up. That was abusive.

That was painful stuff, man. Well, yeah, but this is the segue into how college athletes or student athletes are ultimately showing the example with your next premise of Travis Hunter & Company about how it should be said. Oh, so let Dave from Alabama be abusive, but the college students set the table.

Well, it's kind of what they're doing. I mean, I know Dave is passionate, but when you sent me this clip, I was really impressed with how mature these young men both sounded and how forgiving Travis Hunter is right away, considering this kid got death threats, which is unwarranted. Yeah.

So here's the background in the deal. I'm sure by now everybody remembers Travis Hunter in Colorado, that Saturday night game that went on and on and on and on and on. At one point in the game, Travis Hunter went up and he was knocked late into his chest, into his ribs by defensive back Henry Blackburn and Henry Blackburn took him out. Travis Hunter had to ultimately leave the game. He had to be hospitalized. He had a lacerated liver. And so we don't know when he'll be back. We assume sooner than later.

It's already been a few weeks. Now, today we learned after the death threats and Dion Sanders telling everybody, hey, you need to go ahead and leave Henry Blackburn alone, so on and so forth, that the two dudes hung out. Like they actually met in Colorado. They went and played bowling and, you know, they had a little bit of a chat.

And a matter of fact, this is this is some of it that they posted online. Take a listen. Go ahead.

Let people know who you is. You know, it's OK. Henry Blackburn, you know, play CSU. We just we just played last last weekend or last Saturday. You know, I was just making sure my my my my guy straight, you know, just making sure he good checking in with him. We talked after the game on the phone and then do the DMS and stuff and made this happen for the people that love to see negativity. This ain't a negative video, man. This great positive. And you know how we get. And I feel like if that didn't happen, we wouldn't be here right now.

So it's a blessing that that happened. So now we can we can show people the other side of football. Football is just a game at the end of the day.

And people were the people that play it. So we're going to get hurt eventually. You just can't look at it as negative. It's something that's good coming out of it like right now. This video is something good. That's coming together. Something good that came out of that injury or that football game. So. All right. Something positive came out of them getting together.

OK. Whatever helps. Eight five five two one two four CBS. It's just nice that, you know, at least this guy can walk around without death threats.

Like, is it really that serious? He hit the guy late. He hit him dirty.

But he ain't trying to kill the guy. Eight five five two one two four CBS. It's eight five five two one two four CBS. Rick is calling from Baltimore.

How about the Mo's? Rick, you're on CBS Sports Radio. Hello, JR. Can't give you guys enough plaudits for the job you do. You're fantastic. Thanks.

What's up? Yeah. This is like a dream.

I don't know. I don't know how to describe it. It's just it just is great, you know? And these guys play these young ballplayers love to play the game. They've got a great manager and Brandon Hyde.

He's a player's manager. And, you know, I hope. Let's see how far we go. You know, OK, well, just just for you, Rick, we're going to hear the final call from the game again, OK? OK, sure.

All right. Thank you, Rick, for calling from Baltimore. Anyone who's not familiar, the Orioles haven't been to the postseason since 2014. They win 100 games. They clinch a victory tonight against the Red Sox, two to nothing. And they're going back, man.

It's been a long time coming. Here's the final call from the Orioles radio network. Listen to how happy they were.

Happiness. One and one, two outs, bases clear ninth inning, two nothing else. Here's the 1-1 pitch. Ground ball out to third base. Arias has got it.

Throws to first. And you can celebrate, everybody. The Orioles in 2023 are American League champions. It all culminated in this.

It started with a rebuild. An incredible 2022 season. And then you make it to 2023. And the Orioles, they are the Ailey's best. Fireworks all over the place. The Orioles celebrating right in front of second base as the bullpen comes in and they will join the party right behind the pitcher's mound.

It's going to be a party all night long in Baltimore. You better have a good excuse for your boss. No school tomorrow.

Just a celebration of this 2023 Orioles team that has clinched the American League games. Who needs an excuse? Just just do what you want. Don't show up to work. Don't show up to school. Who cares?

There'll be more days to make up. Danny's calling from Santa Clara. Your CBS Sports radio. What's up, Danny? Well, can I have the speaker on?

I'm sorry? Can I have the speaker on? Do you want to talk to me on speakerphone? Yeah, it's on right now.

It's cool, right? No. No. Your phone. Your phone isn't good. Why? Why do you want to talk to me on speaker? OK.

It's good now. Wait, hold on, man. Let's wait.

This is the first time I ever made a call. So I don't know. So now that my speakerphone is on. It's OK. It's OK. I'm just I'm just letting you know.

Typically, speakerphone is always worse than not holding it to your head. But what's up, Danny? OK. Anyway, I want to talk about the Texas Rangers. Why they're going to win it. Because when I heard Bochy say this spring that the pitching staff he had over there was top bar none. They kept picked up Chapman. And I don't know if you notice that he won six or seven games right now. And Bruce knows how to get those two designs ready every other year for three times. And at the end of the year, you know, that's when you've got to play your best ball.

And you think they're going to win it all right there. And it was wrestling in high school. I had my arm broken once.

And me and the guy were friends after. But some coaches teach moves that are going to hurt people. You know, and they've kind of eliminated some of them in the sport in high school.

But, yeah, it was a little bit more. Some coaches, they had their doctor, Dr. Payne, some coaches will call that, you know, because they taught moves that hurt. How long? How long did you wrestle? Four years in high school. And nothing after that? None in college?

Nothing like that? No, no, I didn't. I was going to go on the Army, but I went I drove off Highway 1 and I was in a coma for a couple of months. And then I just stayed with some kind of work.

But, yeah, I was a big I always will kind of want to be a broadcaster. Excuse me, sir. Go ahead. What did you say? What was the last thing you said? Oh, I've always wanted to kind of be a broadcaster.

And I thought, oh, I thought you said something else too. Yeah, a broadcaster. Anyway, like 10 years old, I used to know the Dodger lineup up and down and and that my uncles would get a big kick.

But I just said, hey, Danny, who's your line up? You know, more Wilson, Willie Davis. Maybe you can be an MLB manager. I got to tell you, I'm not as enthusiastic as you are about the Rangers, but we'll see soon enough. If they if they go to the World Series, call me back, OK?

OK. A twenty dollar bet wins me three hundred and twenty if they win it. All right. Good luck.

That was a good one. Thank you, Danny. No problem, man.

No problem. Thought he's like he wanted to be a black guy. I'm like, what? It's like, what?

You want to be a black guy? I don't know what that guy was saying. Max is calling from Cleveland. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Max? Oh, man, what's going on?

I'm laughing at that last little part. But I had a quick question that I thought provoking question really. So through the first three weeks of the NFL season, I would say, well, people would say that the Browns have the number one defense because of the points allow third down conversions. And, you know, facts, all of that. My question to you was, why do you think it is that Taylor Swift got more sports media coverage this week for attending the game than the Browns number one defense? Why do you think why do I think Taylor Swift got more attention than the Browns defense? Than the Browns, period. But our defense is number one. I don't see why we weren't talking about a lot this week.

Let me explain something so far. I think unless you have an NFL team that is blanking every team that it plays, I don't think it matters after three games what a defense looks like. I love to look at stats.

I love to look at numbers. I personally am not entertaining points per game yards allowed per game. I'm not doing any of that until we probably get to the fifth game of the season. And so that's that's just me personally. And so I get it. If you from Cleveland, I assume a Browns fan want to hang your hat on what the Browns have been able to do thus far, then then that's great.

Me? I don't care. Like, let's let's get a little bit further into the season before I start saying this is the best that or best this.

I mean, that's not the case. No different than the Dolphins. Let them bring up a whole lot of other teams for points before I start going, Oh, my God, this is the greatest show on grass since we saw the greatest show on surface. Is that reasonable?

Yeah, that's definitely reasonable. These next two games are tellers, too. We got the rain. Okay. Niners. Yes. And so let's see what they do against both of them, especially the forty niners with with all of their weapons. And so, look, man, Taylor Swift is one of the biggest recording artists on planet Earth.

And if you were to probably poll people on Earth, I think more people would be familiar with Taylor Swift than the Cleveland Browns. All right. That's all right. Thank you. Thank you.

Maxwell calling from Cleveland. I know a lot. I bet you Taylor Swift. Well, this is this is factual.

Taylor Swift has more fans in America than the Browns. There you have it. I mean, is nothing else. Marco, you you're a Swifty, right? Oh, yeah. All over that. What's your favorite Taylor Swift song?

You know, J.R., I'll let you in on the secret. I couldn't tell you one Taylor Swift song. And if you played it, I don't think I would know that it was her or I've ever heard it. I don't know them. I think I know. And don't play any of them, please. Damn it.

Don't don't don't do it. I had a feeling that might be coming. Yes. I think I think I know. Maybe three, maybe three off the top.

Really? See, I thought you're a little bit more, you know, finger to the pulse. I realize that I don't know what's going on in pop culture, but I just don't care. It's not like I've avoided it. I just don't know it. And if it's not going to be in my face, I'm not going to see it. Here's this. You know this one.

You ready? Shake it off. You know that one. Do you know? Yes, you do. If you play it, maybe chef gave you.

You already put the embargo on him. Now he's on the phone. You know, shake it off is shake it off.

She repeats it. Is it in a movie? Is it in a commercial?

Then I got a chance. It's probably in a movie and commercials. Yes, that's probably why you've heard it. If it's that, then then I got a shot.

Otherwise, I have no idea. And then there's something about something about being a bad girl or something. And you want to be bad something. And what's the only bad I know is Michael Jackson. Oh, yeah, I know that one.

That one I got. I'm not going to I'm not going to hum the beat for it. This is shake it off. You know, this is from.

Yeah, I got little kids. This isn't shake it off. Yeah. I mean, I have no idea. Sing. I had no idea.

No more, no more, no more, no more, no mas. All right. See, there you go. You found the avenue to get one.

You know, you put it in a movie or a commercial. I got a shot. I got little kids. My kids love sing. That's the pig from Sing. I didn't know it was Taylor Swift. See, I don't know what the hell sing is.

That's a movie. There was two of them. There's a singing pig. Yeah, there's a singing like pig and koala. I think that's Matthew McConaughey.

Oh, wow. See, I know the one with Chris Rock and Adam Sandler. What was that one called? The zoo one. Zoo.

The zoo one. No, the animated film Madagascar. OK. Is it like Madagascar? I didn't see Madagascar.

Little older. So we haven't gotten there yet. So this is Marco. This is Jera. Can I can I play this for 10 seconds? This is Taylor Swift's original hit song and her come out party when she was like a teenager. I don't know this song play.

All right. Girlfriend, she's upset. She's going off about something that she said. She does wisdom.

She wears short skirts. Oh, my God. Oh, that was her. OK. Yeah, I didn't know that was her. I didn't know that was her. This was her breakout song.

Sorry. When she was a teenager. Yes. Well, what does she know? She's what? Thirty one now. She's all this.

No, the poor, the poor. Eighty nine. But she's got a late birthday, so she's thirty three. She's two and a half.

She's three years younger than me. She's been out since she was a teenager. Yeah. Yeah.

Two thousand. Because when I was because when I was graduating college, you were listening to that. That's when she was big. She was huge in 2000, 2000.

I couldn't remember what 2000 and what 2008, 2009. But when she really blew up was the controversy with her and Kanye. When Kanye got on stage, Beyonce, Taylor was winning all kinds of awards. And it many people got on stage and he said, hey, Taylor, I don't need to mess your thing up. But Beyonce got the best album or something ever.

Right. And it was a great look for Beyonce. It was a great look for Taylor. It was a terrible look for Kanye. Well, everything is a terrible. He's walking around Italy barefoot with this naked lady like, oh, no, no, no. No, I'm not saying I'm not like you're wrong. Like, oh, no, you can't. Like, like between him and Antonio Brown, I don't know who's crashed worse or did it at one point.

They were hanging out. Yes. Yes. Well, didn't you see Chandler Jones in Vegas this morning?

Talking about McDaniel's. Yeah. Not one of his final moments.

Didn't he say that Aaron Hernandez didn't commit suicide and that would. Yeah. Yeah. It is very disturbing. He almost didn't even finish the sentence and he broke down.

He also said that he doesn't have a speaking relationship with his brother John right now either. I don't know. It's sad.

Nobody knows what's going on with Chandler Jones and all the best of him. I mean, we could talk about all these the Kanye's of the world, Antonio Brown's and like they these guys got they got issues. So I don't I don't wish them nothing but the best they they need not to have cell phones and social media. They need people close to them to maybe be checking in on them.

But man, you burn them bridges. It's it gets tough. It's the JR Sportbrief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, JR? Man, I want to first by saying I love the show and thank you for keeping so real on so many different topics. Call in now at eight five five two one two four.

CBS is the JR Sportbrief show here on CBS Sports Radio. This portion of the show is brought to you by Wesley Financial. Are you stuck in a timeshare and want out? You can contact Wesley Financial Group now and get a free timeshare exit information kit at Wesley Financial Group dot com. Unfortunately, in a few minutes, I'm going to have to exit.

We have some callers here on the line that I do want to get on before we have to roll on out. We've had a good show talking about the Lions beating the Packers tonight, 34 to 20. We talked about the Baltimore Orioles going back to the postseason for the first time since 2014.

And they're doing it in style. One hundred games, one. Up until now, they have a chance to add to that in the W column. And then also just capturing the American League East. Not expected. You would have thought it would have been the Yankees, somebody else, but not the O's.

They did it. Eight five five two one two four CBS. Let's go ahead and talk to Rick from Pittsburgh. You're on the JR Sportbrief show. What's up, man? First of all, we have to give a shout out to Travis Kelsey for reviving that young lady's career. Obviously, she was a struggling artist.

And before she started dating him, you know, no one really knew who she was. But what I really want to talk about is the AFC East. Do you think the Bills and Dolphins game coming up is going to be a prelude to what we see? You know, possibly going deep into the AFC championship run or.

Well, it could. Yes, I mean, these are these are two of the best teams just in the AFC. So I don't see any reason as to why it wouldn't be a potential matchup that we see later on come January. I know they end the season against each other and that'll probably have some type of way or go some type of way towards determining the division. But no, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if either one of these teams were hanging out deep, you know?

And I know it's early. Look, the Buffalo Bills have been hanging out in this this AFC divisional space, AFC championship space for the past few years. The Dolphins haven't been there and it's been due to injury. And so I know it's it's easy to be excited and Dolphins fans should be excited about the potential.

I'm not trying to be the negative person here, but there's a reason that the Dolphins ain't been hanging out in the same place as the Buffalo Bills or as the Ravens or the Kansas City Chiefs who we know are the top of the totem pole. And it comes down to injury. And so, man, they could source 60, 70 points.

They could light it up. I'm just hoping that they can stay healthy throughout the course of the year. But yes, it's there's potential for it to us specifically, though. Yes, of course. Yes. If he goes down, they're done.

I would say that for most teams in their starting quarterback. Yeah. Yeah.

Look at the dress. Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah.

Except for their guys. Thirty nine years old with a history of cap problems. So he's about to be 40 and we'll see what he does on the way back. Hey, Rick, thank you for calling from Pittsburgh, man. Yes, sir. No doubt about it.

It's the J.R. sport we show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Man, it's been busy. It's nice to look at teams when they can turn things around. And then you still have the the Jets who just always got to hope and pray and wish they could do a whole lot of it.

It doesn't doesn't seem like it's it's going to happen. Hey, chef, thank you for another good night, man. Thank you as always, J.R. Of course. Look, we'll be back tomorrow and we're going to get you all set for all of the football that's going to happen over the weekend. I feel good for the past two weeks.
