I'm gonna be rolling with you for the next three hours. Much love to everybody locked in all over North America. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia.

Super producer and host Dave Shepherd. He's coming to you live from New York City. And New York City is the home of another NBA draft where finally it took a year. It took about a month for us to wait for that. But Victor Wenbanyama went number one, took a year. And he finally went to the San Antonio Spurs.

That took about a month. So Victor Wenbanyama gets a chance to go to San Antonio and try to just start what is hoped to be an amazing career as another great big man for the San Antonio Spurs. Brandon Miller goes number two to the Charlotte Hornets. Scoot Henderson goes number three to the Portland Trail Blazers. Amen Thompson goes number four to the Houston Rockets. And his brother Asar Thompson goes to the Detroit Pistons at number five. So you got two brothers, two twins going back to back in the NBA draft.

You know some of these things you cannot make up. As we continue on with the show we'll talk more about the draft picks and some of the movement in the NBA. Earlier today I'm sure you've heard that Chris Paul is now a member of the Golden State Warriors.

He didn't even suit up, wasn't going to suit up for the Washington Wizards. And in turn the Washington Wizards get their hands on Jordan Poole who's going to be out there with Tyus Jones. And we know that the Washington Wizards with their young talent, they've basically been stripped down to the studs. We'll also talk about their draft pick who happens to be connected to Victor Wenbanyama. And so a lot of attention obviously paid to the Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile a team that's they're going to be in the pits for maybe a year or more.

But the the Wizards are trying to make some moves to finally get things back on track. Thank you to everybody listening on the free Odyssey app, A-U-D-A-C-Y. Thank you to people tuned in on your local CBS Sports Radio affiliate all over North America. So whether you're tuning in on a station called The Fan, The Game, The Ticket, The Score, whatever it's called, thank you.

You can listen on Sirius XM channel 158 and if you have a smart speaker just ask it to play CBS Sports Radio. I just told you about something that happened. Well a historic move tonight. Two twin brothers back to back.

Amen Thompson, Asar Thompson. And you didn't see them play at college because they participated in the Overtime Elite League. It's a pro league for kids in between that high school and college age. They're paid out.

If you're not familiar with Overtime, I don't know how to explain it. Basically grew from a highlight factory, digital and social media. And they built a facility right here. Shout out to Dan Porter, one of the founders. I know the founders. They built this sucker here in Atlanta to extend out into physical basketball games.

And so they are an alternative to college. They are an alternative to the NBA G League Ignite. I saw the two twin brothers play a couple of months ago. I couldn't tell you the difference between the two of them, but the NBA scouts, they certainly could. And so the brothers, they spoke after being drafted, and it's just, it's kind of wild.

How about we start with the first brother selected? Amen Thompson, number four overall to the Houston Rockets. He's joining that back cart.

Amen. This is what he had to say about going to the Rockets. It just feels great to be a Houston Rocket. You know, I thought I had a great interview, great workout with them. And I was just, you know, I thought I saw a family over there.

I saw a future in Houston, so it's great to be there. His twin brother Asar selected number five by the Detroit Pistons. This is what Asar had to say about when he found out he was going to the D. I found out when they said, when they said, when they said the name, like, I was like, oh, they didn't call. I don't know if I'm getting drafted. I seen the cameras coming.

I was like, maybe I am. And I was super excited to, you know, to get drafted by the Pistons. You know, I'm just happy to be a piston for sure. They became the first brothers to be drafted in the top five of the same draft, period, since, since the NBA has been here. The Thompson's also joined Lonzo and LaMelo Ball. They are the only brothers to go in the top five in the draft in the modern era. And so Amen Thompson, who's going to the Houston Rockets, yeah, it's going to take a while to remember all of this, but Amen Thompson, he talked as well about going back to back with his brother.

I mean, it's kind of cool going first. It means a lot to my family. I mean, it's all, we were going to be happy whoever went first, but I know it just means a lot to my family seeing like all the hard work pay off and has to go back to back, be the first twins in the same draft to go top five. I mean, it's, it means a lot. Yeah, the parents were right there on ESPN and they were obviously thrilled with the results.

I can only imagine, you know, how you feel when your kids going four and five in the draft. And I got to tell you, I watched them play for two hours. I, I, and I've watched stars.

I didn't, nothing to me, nothing stood out. I mean, they were, they were efficient. They were normal. They were leaders. They, they ran the team. They scored.

I don't know. Maybe I was doing other things, but they, they were just, I was just all their twin brothers and I couldn't tell them apart, but now I'll be able to amend Thompson going to the Rockets, Asar Thompson going number five to the Detroit Pistons. Told you their family was emotional. There was another family on hand tonight.

Victor Winbenyama finally went number one overall. And after he was drafted, he sat down with Monica McNutt from ESPN. He was flanked by his sister.

He was flanked by his brother. And it was an emotional affair. Listen to this. Tell me what this emotion, tell me about these tears. It's just accomplishing something that I've been dreaming of, you know, my whole life. Hearing that, that sentence from Adam Silver, you know, I've dreamed of it so, so much that, you know, you know, I got to cry, man.

Yves, Oscar, Victor's siblings, there were tears for you guys. What has it been like watching your brother in this pursuit? That's amazing. We are so proud. We're very happy for you.

We are happy for the family, for the friends, for everything, for the basketball. That's so amazing. Yeah. I knew that I was gonna tear in, gonna have tears because every time I thought about these settings, like with the first pick and everything, I got these little tears in my eyes and I knew that I wasn't gonna let them in my eyes.

Yeah, that's crazy. Victor, I do have to ask you though, you have been labeled generational talent. So many people are thrilled about your potential in the NBA. And you have said that you don't feel pressure because it's just basketball. How do you begin to leave your mark on this league? You know, I mean, you know, it's, it's a tough league. It's tough to win, to win this league. You know, many players have tried to win for years, for decades and haven't made it.

So my goal is I'm going to try and learn as quick as possible because I want to win that ring. Wow. And this is, this is the pressure time, brother. This is it. Victor, when Benyama has had one hell of a week, he lands in Newark, New Jersey, he's hounded at the airport.

Congratulations to the NBA for the great job they did just pushing him all week. Victor, when Benyama was on Good Morning America, sitting down with Robin Roberts, Victor, when Benyama was up in Harlem, New York. Shout outs to Harlem. I was going to say, I'll be back in Harlem, but that'll, that'll be inaccurate.

Shout outs to Harlem. But Victor, when Benyama is visiting schools in Harlem, he's up at Rucker Park. Victor, when Benyama is getting on the subway in New York city and he's throwing out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game, Victor, when Benyama is doing the media rounds, now that he's been selected number one overall, guess what?

It's going to be time for Victor, when Benyama to play. He seemingly is a, is a great human being. He appears to have a great head on his shoulders. If you heard the comments that we shared with you last night, Victor, when Benyama talking to JJ Reddick about just life and, and, and he's in control of, of his destiny and no one can, can, can work for him.

Like he can work for himself. You just go, well, damn, he has a great perspective to life overall, which in turn helps him with basketball. Well, now get, get the tears out. Have the celebratory dinner tonight.

Show love and share it and have it with your family, man. Now it's over, man. There's no more visits to, to New York city, unless you're the opposition. There's no more throwing out first pitches at the Yankees game.

No more subway rides. It's going to be about ball. And so now it's time to see, you know, in a couple of months, what Victor when Benyama does, he said that he's going to play in the summer league, San Antonio Spurs going to say, you playing in the summer league. I'm really interested to see real interested to see what Victor when Benyama can do, because all the media, all the interviews that was this week and it's done.

Now it's going to be time for ball. What are your thoughts on Victor when Benyama, are you excited to see Victor when Benyama, I think he went to a great team. He didn't go to a crap show. He didn't go to a place that lacks stability.

He didn't go to someplace that's going to get upended. He went to the San Antonio Spurs. I mean, who, who beefed there? Who had a problem with the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard?

It looked like Kawhi Leonard got a whole lot of issues, man. To some extent, Steven Jackson, a little bit. Steven Jackson is, is, is nowhere near.

I get that. Being able, so he's, he's not relevant here. He was a bit player for the squad. The San Antonio Spurs have been here just, they have the most stable franchise that the NBA has had here over the past 25 years. They developed European players. They developed players from Argentina and South America. They found guys deep in the draft. They have a coach who's led a team into, to win.

It's just an ideal situation for Victor when Benyama. Could not have gone to a better team in a better city where all you can do is just, just go play basketball and eat food, man. That's it. 855-212-4CBS.

It's 855-212-4CBS. You go to the Spurs, man, you, you're going to roll. And my reference to Kawhi was more so about his, his injuries. You don't, you don't have those problems, those issues. Showing up and just going out and playing. Dave is calling from Alabama.

You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, you mark my words. 10 years from now, people will always remember the name Manu Ginobili over victim Juan Benyanya. I mean, this guy is not going to be able to stay healthy. Wait, wait, wait. What's his name? Manu Ginobili.

No, I know Manu Ginobili. Who's the other guy? Oh, Victor. Victor who? I can't pronounce his last name.

You got me there, JR. Man, you got me good. Oh, well, I'm just saying, if you're going to say that people will never remember his name, at least attempt his name the first time. Okay. Yeah. We know Manu Ginobili and yeah, I think everybody knows Victor when Benyama. Is he going to go out and have a 15, 20 year career?

Probably not. That's part of the entry. I don't think the San Antonio Spurs would be upset if they were able to pick up, I don't know, one or two championships with the guy. I don't think anyone selects a dude and just goes, man, he's going to get us five championships. How does it work that way? It doesn't.

It really doesn't. And so another thing the San Antonio Spurs do, and so the detriment probably of the league, they've had no problem sitting guys down. Victor when Benyama, I do not believe he will be rushed.

Victor when Benyama will not be abused. He's not going to be put in a position where he's asked to just, you know, dribble and throw the ball up. Whatever he can do, they're going to have him go out there and do it.

But he ain't being thrown to the walls and he's not being thrown into a disaster. 855-2124 CBS will also give you a reason to tune in once again to the San Antonio Spurs. Satch is calling from Ontario. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, how are you? Very well.

Excellent, excellent. I'm calling from Hamilton, Ontario, Shay Gilderoy Alexander's hometown, and I'm really excited about Victor, not just, I mean, I don't really cheer for the Spurs. I'm thankful they sent us Kawhi up in Toronto, but I think he's a great ambassador to the sport. Right when you have guys that are just jumping ship and changing feet, this guy really seems committed not only to grow the game for the Spurs, but globally. I think he was a great pick up and I have nothing but excitement to watch him when he comes to Toronto, but the uniqueness of his talent is going to be great for the league in general. And the Spurs are going to run with him probably for another 10, 15 years.

Maybe 20, you never know. But yeah. What 7 foot 5, 6, 7 guy you know been around for 20 years? Sorry, say that again.

So what, let me, let me rephrase it. What gigantic human being, the size of Victor Wimbenyama have you seen go out and play for 15 and 20 years? Well, there was a guy named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I mean, he had a long career.

No, no, no, no, wait, wait a second. The size of Victor Wimbenyama. Well, I mean, how tall was Kareem? Kareem was 7 foot 2. This guy is a few inches taller. I mean, there's a first time. There is a, there's a difference, bro.

There is a difference. Have you ever been around somebody 7'1 or 7 foot tall? Yeah, I'm very active in the basketball community. I know a lot of guys that play professionally and I mean, I agree with you to an extent. But do you, but do you understand, just think about the NBA.

Yeah. You can have a guy who's 7 feet and then you can have a guy who's 7'1 and then you can start thinking about dudes who are now Chris Stapp's Porzingis. You can start thinking about the Boban's.

You can start thinking about the Bradley's. There's a big difference between being 7'1 and now graduating into Sean Bradley, George A. Morrison, Victor Wimbenyama territory. Massive difference. But Murison had a disease. He had, he was not.

Satch. Most dudes that big have a pituitary issue. But it's not about whether or not Victor doesn't have that. That's, that's a bad comparison, bro. I'm talking about, can you, Satch, be quiet.

Be quiet. I'm talking about, I'm talking about human beings in general that big. And so from a basketball perspective, I don't care if you have a disease and you are 7'7 or you are 7'6 like Yao Ming. My point is those five inches make a huge difference.

There's a difference from a guard perspective. Me looking at someone who plays guard at 6'5 plays guard and now all of a sudden is 6'10 and plays forward. Now take that same ideology and apply it to a 19 year old who moves like a shooting guard who is 7'5 and God knows is likely probably going to grow some more. And so my point to you, Satch, is you can look at somebody who is only seven feet or 7'1. I think there's another category when you start throwing three and four and five and damn it, six inches on top.

That's it. We haven't seen that before. And so you telling me we've seen Kareem.

Forget Kareem. We've seen Yao Ming. How did that go? We've seen Manouk Ball.

How did that go? Sean Bradley was able to have a decent career, but how did that go for where he was drafted? We haven't. And so, yeah, I have no idea what we're going to see for Victor Wenbanyama, but to start going 15 and 20, oh, should they be so lucky?

Should they be so lucky? I hope so. And so what is Victor Wenbanyama going to do? Give us, I don't know, 20 years of 60 games per season? I don't know. How many games is he going to play this year?

60, 65, 60 to 70? If he plays 70 games, I'm going to go, damn, Victor Wenbanyama played 70 games this rookie year? How many minutes is he going to play? Look, I've seen the highlights. I've seen the games in Vegas. I've seen him light it up. He's going to have even more open run in the NBA. Nobody knows.

We have not seen it. 855-212-4CBS, that's 855-212-4CBS. I'm going to get some more of your calls. And oh, yeah, by the way, Chris Paul already opened up his mouth about this trade to the Warriors. We're going to get to your calls.

We're going to hear from Chris Paul. It's the JR Sportbrief show, CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio. I love your show. Love listening to you on a regular basis.

Thanks for taking my call, man. I really like your show, dog. It's a great show that we listen to up here whenever we get the chance. Let me say I love your show, man. I live in Brookhaven, Georgia, right? And I'm the chance. Man, let me say, I love your show, man. I live in Brookhaven, Georgia, right? And I'm a truck driver. You make my night every night that you on the air.

I wanna say that. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio. 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS.

Gonna get back to more of your phone calls momentarily. We know that the big surprising news I should say from the NBA today was Chris Paul being moved and traded to the Golden State Warriors. A team that for the majority of his career, he's just been been a rival with in the Western Conference whether it's the Clippers or the Rockets or you know, even thinking about his days with with OKC, it's or the Pelicans or Hornets I should say. It's been a wild ride here and now Chris Paul with the Suns. He's he's now gonna be teaming up with the enemy and so Chris Paul, he's been going all around the country promoting his new book 61 all about his his family and he was in Winston-Salem where we know that he went to school and started at Wake Forest and he spoke to Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer who asked him about, you know, obviously being excited going to the Warriors and this is Chris Paul's response. Chris, what is your reaction to being traded to Golden State today? I'm excited. I got that question. I don't know how many times already so I'm I'm really excited. You spoke with Steph it sounds like already and how did that go?

It was it was good. Yeah. What do you think your role will be on that team? Uh to help us win games. Chris Paul not one for the questions today or maybe the questions could have had a little bit more more depth. Just a little bit. Just a little bit.

Hey, Chris, how you feel? I feel like **** I don't wanna go to Golden State. Well, what what do you think you're gonna do on the team? I don't know. They're gonna ask me to play center. Like, come on, man. We'll see what Chris Paul can do.

Let's see what else the Warriors do to round out that roster. 855-2124 CBS. Greg is here from Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio, the JR Sport Brief Show.

JR, the best sports show in the world, mister positive. Hey, gotta tell you, you're very popular in Michigan and the Detroit area. I was in a restaurant last night. Someone came up to me and said, they listen to you and they hear me.

Um thank you very much. Um you alluded to the Thompson Twins. I'm a twin and the Thompson Twin that's coming to. Wait a minute. Wait, Greg. Yes, sir. You've been calling, well, not that I would know. You call us quite frequently.

Always a pleasure. Yes, sir. You find out more and more. We had no idea you were a twin?

Yes. How does it feel being a twin? I'm fraternal. We're night and day. And I'm a voracious reader and my twin is more into sports and he's more physical. I'm more cerebral if you will. He's more into sports than you? You talk to me multiple times a week.

I'm because of you and I'm getting into sports a lot more. I just love the way when you're talking to Satch and you were spot on. Seven feet to seven six is a big difference. Well, and it was more seven one, seven two to seven five but I mean still, sheesh, there's a difference, man. Yes, there is. Yeah. Um what I wanted to call about is the Thompson Twin that's gonna come to Detroit. Like you said, you alluded to it. You didn't actually say to the the Detroit Pistons. Um they're a work in progress. So, hopefully he stays excited. But with all that's going on and you're right Chris Paul wasn't very loquacious but CP3 is the if you will. Um you're right.

Those questions were pedantic and pedestrian at best. Um but where's LeBron gonna go? Is he gonna possibly go to the Warriors?

Can you see it happening? Oh no, man. And what if I saw it with AD? Look, I look, I I. Okay. For for the money, I don't know if if that's gonna fit in. I I don't know.

I look, I I'm not gonna put anything past anybody. Chris Paul is in the final year of his contract, right? Right. I think we would have to wait for LeBron James. We'd have to wait for the conclusion of this season for LeBron to say, A, I want to leave and then B, he's also made it very clear. He wants to play with his son and who knows? Maybe I'm I'm sure he wants to play with both of them.

Is it realistic? I don't know. Maybe. So, I don't I don't see LeBron going up to the bay to play for the Warriors. No, I I don't see that. Look, it could happen.

Anything could happen but I don't see that, man. JR, I trust your judgment. Everyone go for your dreams and please everybody remember Agents of Inclusion. You can make a difference just like JR. Well, thank you. Love you. Thank you.

I love you too, Greg. Thank you for calling from Michigan. Plugging the Agents of Inclusion podcast which by the way, we're gonna be filming a podcast live for everybody in New York. We're gonna be filming a podcast live from the New York Red Bull Arena.

Ironically, all of my friends here in Georgia from Atlanta United, they're gonna be playing the New York Red Bulls and so we'll have an opportunity to have a conversation with two of their unified athletes from each team just allowing people with and without intellectual disabilities to just go out there and play soccer. Should be fun. I'm gonna have me a good old time. 855-212-4CBS.

It's 855-212-4CBS. Andrew is calling from DC. What's up, Andrew? Hey, JR. How you doing man?

Good. So, yeah, I just wanted to talk a little bit not only about the Wizards draft but like kind of the excitement as a as a long time fan of the Wizards. I mean, it's just been mediocrity over mediocrity and you know people there's a lot of fans that are a little you know disappointed that we're like taking it down to the studs but I mean to what two three years ago we had a twenty-five win season. It's not like we're you know.

Nothing forever. Yeah, it's it's just been the same old same old and you know Michael Winger came in and what one month on the job has completely changed this team. Pretty excited. I mean, Tyus Jones coming in.

Jordan Poole. You know, I probably not gonna win more than twenty-five twenty-six games but I like just all the changes that they've been doing. Um talking about the draft. It was it was necessary. Yes, I mean, getting rid of Beal, it needed to happen like like he's been a great stand-up guy in the DC area but it's just time to move on. I mean, that contract with an albatross. I mean, what are you supposed to do with a fifty-one million dollar contract? I mean, you can't do anything.

On a guy who doesn't even play. Yeah. Exactly.

He played 60 games this year. I mean. Yeah. Well.

So, you know, and I'm excited. I don't know much about this guy Kula Bali. Um I was kind of hoping that they would get, you know, Cam Whitmore from Villanova. Um I'm kind of surprised that they passed on. He was supposed to go like top ten and when they dropped to him. According to Victor Wenbanyama, his teammate, Bilal Kula Bali is someone that should have been drafted in the top five not just the top ten and so either way, the Wizards are in a prime position here to rebuild with assets. Uh are they going to win a lot of games? No.

But everything is strictly going to be about development. Thank you so much, Andrew, for calling from DC. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I'm going to get some more of your calls on the other side of the break. We're going to talk about a few more of these draft picks.

How about the one who decided to show up in sequence? We're going to talk about Grady Dick and there also were some moves that did not happen. Zion is still a pelican.

Guess he ain't moving. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. Thank you first off for making my drive from the south side of Atlanta to the north side every night bearable. I always enjoy listening to you man.

Intellectual and introspective. I appreciate you. I just started to listen to you about 6 months ago. Man, I love your show.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. You know, so many moves have just been made, have taken place over the past week. Uh today, Chris Paul goes to the Warriors. Jordan Poole goes to DC. Bradley Peel, Bradley Beal goes to Phoenix. Chris Staps Porzingis goes to Boston. Marcus Smart goes to Memphis. NBA draft is tonight.

Some of the deals that have not gone on. Zion Williamson. He's still a member of the Pelicans.

He has not moved. Scoot Henderson selected at number three overall in the draft of the Portland Trail Blazers. Scoot Henderson is a blazer. So, what does that mean for Damian Lillard? I think it means that Damian Lillard is going to be on his way out. Scoot Henderson spoke after his draft selection. He said, yeah, I spoke to Damian Lillard.

Listen to this. I'm hoping to get to play with Dave for sure. Um special talent, special guard.

Um so, one of my favorites to watch, you know, especially film wise and uh just to pick out how he moves off the court as well. So, yeah, it'd be cool to play with him. Yeah, would be cool to play with him.

Would be. Is it going to happen? Yeah, I don't think so. Damian Lillard made it clear a few weeks ago. I'm not, I'm not trying to stick around on a rebuild. He's been loyal forever. If you want to borrow a phrase from him, he's talked about being loyal to the soil. Well, now he's going to have to look out for himself. He's going to have to go elsewhere. He's going to have to politely ask to leave and that's pretty much I think what the Portland Trail Blazers have wanted.

They they didn't want to be the ones to move him out unless it was mutually agreed upon. Blazers not trying to alienate their fan base and and and someone that they love. I was just in Portland over the winter time.

Well, I think maybe even January. Yeah. They love the man.

There wasn't a bar or a restaurant or a street that I didn't go to where there wasn't a poster or a toy or an emblem. He is the guy. Sham Sharania talked about Damian Lillard on the stadium and he gave an update as to what might come next. As of right now, all signs point to Scoot Henderson being there. I'm told that several teams including the New Orleans Pelicans, they reached out to Portland about getting Scoot Henderson and Portland simply refused to move him and showed no interest in moving him. And so now you have to look at the future of Damian Lillard who we've been talking about his future for weeks and the the concern of his future and him potentially departing Portland.

If this team remains as is and if they remain young with with these collection of youngish guards, I'm told a timeline for where the future will land with Damian Lillard likely extends now between here at this point tonight and the start of the agency and potentially even into free agency and just seeing exactly what Portland is able to do and if Portland is unable to make a meaningful move and enough to improve the team, Lillard has made it clear behind the scenes from what I'm told also publicly that he doesn't want to come back into a rebuilding situation, a situation with young players, a situation with with guys that clearly they're trying to make their mark. He wants to be on a more veteran laden team. Yeah, we know.

Yes, duh. He's sticking around for that. He's about to be 33 years old, man. Send him to Brooklyn. Brooklyn got all the picks and the talent. He's talked about playing with bridges. He likes bridges and he went to see the just send him to Brooklyn or send him to Miami.

Like let's not just tiptoe around this. Damian Lillard in Portland is going to be over and he stuck around for so long. They went through the Lamarcus Aldridge.

Well, this is now your team, Damian Lillard squad and then for a long time, they stuck with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum like this was a low budget Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Well, now let's let's come to reality. It's over. It's done.

It's a wrap. You just heard from Shams. Give it, give it another month.

Maybe less. Damian Lillard is going to be the hell up on out of there. 855-212-4CBS. It's 855-212-4CBS. Kosta is calling from Toronto. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. What's up Kosta? JR, how are you sir? Thank you so much for taking my call.

You're very welcome. I thought tonight that the Raptors took a greaty, greaty dick there. Six foot seven guard.

What's your comments about? I haven't seen him play well. I believe it was Kansas Jayhawks, wasn't it?

Yes, correct. He's a Kansas Jayhawk. He's from Kansas. He wore a stupid outfit today and I guess a reverence of Dorothy from Kansas. He's a three-point shooter and so now it's going to be up to everybody to see what else he can bring to the table.

Now, another thing, Masai Jerry, we have him as a genius over here and he's pretty smart guy. What are we going to do now with Van Vliet and Ojian Enobi and Siakam? You think still the Hammers are about to fall or is he going to be packed with a new coach too? Van Vliet is a is a free agent. I think you're looking at a Toronto Raptors team that it's it's going to be inevitable that that you got to start flipping some dudes, man.

I think that's just what it is. They ain't they ain't winning no championship. I'm sorry to say with Pascal Siakam leading the way Scotty Barnes yet to develop like they need to have and bring in assets that are going to win because ultimately we know this Toronto isn't necessarily going to go out and sign free agents. They're going to have to either a draft somebody and they haven't been that bad where they they they couldn't draft somebody or they're going to have to trade for someone and so yeah, the Raptors are just they'll walk in construction site at this time.

I understand sir. So do you see any trades going down at Enobi gone or yes, I think the guy who probably has Scotty Barnes. You probably don't want to give up on him too soon. And Enobi is probably the best bet to be moved, but I would say at some point over the next 2 years, I wouldn't be shocked if two out of their three young guys goes not you know what let me rephrase that. I think you'll probably hold on to Scotty Barnes, but by the let me let me break it down even simpler for you by the time the Toronto Raptors are back to competing for a championship and God knows when that's going to be.

I am almost certain OG and Adobe Scotty Barnes and Pascal Siakam will not be teammates. Oh wow sorry Costa drive safe out there. What are you doing? Oh right now. I'm just sitting outside.

I couldn't sleep. I drive a big truck in a construction company. Are you ever planning to come up and visit us over here? Yeah. I've I've come to Toronto. I haven't been in maybe about 4 years since before the pandemic. Oh, they they call it here a rumor has it because they call us little New York here little New York. Well, a little apple.

Yeah. Toronto is big and clean and it's nice and beautiful. It's I don't want to call it a hidden gem, but there's a lot of people who haven't been up there. If you ever get a chance to go to Toronto, I say do it. Hey, Costa. I'm looking forward to swinging back man. Thank you. Hey, thank you so much for taking my call. I love you man here. You're on the all star team.

Oh, well, thanks. I'll take that. I need I need all star bonus money and for Grady Dick. What is he? What is he going to wear every game? What's tonight? A one one shot?

You saw what Grady Dick had on right? No, you didn't. No, no.

I'm too focused on making sure we have the others who actually matter in this draft sound wise. It doesn't matter. Does he ouch? I'm sorry, but you know, it's not what he said. You gotta flaunt yourself like that.

You're trying to send the wrong message. Well, it's it's not what he said. It's what he wore.

Oh, that's my point. It's big old Liberace sequins, bright red jacket, the bright red shirt. If all the my neck would be itching if I had a sequin shirt on, I don't know what he looked like. You know Brian Boitano? No. Figure skater.

Got you. You look like a figure skater. No, Johnny Weir. No, this is Brian.

This is extravagant. Got it. Well, when I think of figure skaters, I think of Johnny Weir. Well, I don't. Well, let's uh well, let's let's slow. Oh my goodness. Whoa.

Sorry. Whoa. Oh my goodness.

What happened? No, I'm looking at the draft here and man. Oh, wow. It was like a a breaking news trade or something. No, no.

I'm all right. You just saw Amari Bailey just got drafted and uh he's about to go viral and and not because of uh you know what he's wearing but because of who he was with just FYI chef. Oh my goodness. The internet is about to go nuts. You thought Grady Dick was uh you know kept capturing attention. Amari Bailey was just drafted out of UCLA by the Charlotte Hornets and he was in the crowd not in the on the floor and when he got up and was congratulated by I assume his uh his partner or girlfriend, whatever she was.

She's about to go viral. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. T-Mobile's network can help keep you connected to all your favorite podcasts when you're out and about.
