If you're feeling down and having trouble getting up in the morning, here's a tip. Brush your teeth.

That's it. Often when we wake up, our brains go into planning mode, which leads to overthinking and stress before our head even leaves the pillow. Something simple like brushing your teeth can break that cycle and jumpstart your day. This tip was brought to you by BetterHelp Online Therapy, which connects you with a licensed therapist via video, phone, or online chat. Visit BetterHelp.com slash positive and save 10% on your first month.

This is your operating system talking, not your computers or your phones, but your internal human operating system. I'm feeling a little overloaded. Here's how you can ease my stress. Close your eyes or softly gaze at something in front of you. Now inhale for four counts, exhale for six. Keep repeating.

Much better. Longer term, there's BetterHelp Online Therapy. They'll match us with the licensed therapist we can connect with via video, phone, or chat.

If you need to know what it takes for a home to fit your budget and your family, Rocket, Rocket can. I am JR. This is the JR Sport Brief show. I'm here with my main man, super producer and host, Dave Shepherd. And I'm here with you. Thank you to everybody listening in every corner, every nook, every nook and cranny. When was the last time you heard somebody say nook and cranny?

It's been a long time, right? Well, you just did. Anyway, you could be in Miami. You could be in Seattle. You could be in Maine. You could be in San Diego. You could be in Hawaii, Alaska.

What's up to my friends in Alaska? You could be in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal. Hey, Shep, I said Toronto, right? Yes, you did.

Okay, good. If I didn't say Toronto, the calls would come in in about two minutes. You didn't say Toronto. Yeah, Winnipeg too. What's up, Winnipeg?

Anyway, I'll have all of Canada coming to whoop my ass. If you want to talk to me, it's simple. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. You can find me online. I am at JR Sport Brief. We've had a fun show so far tonight. We've talked about Alabama. Yeah, no playoff for them this year. I think we've known that for a few weeks now. We've talked about Cooper Cup. Unfortunately, he's done for the season or let me not say that.

Let me correct myself. He's going to have ankle surgery. He's going on injured reserve.

It's the middle of November. The Rams suck. What's he coming back for?

Anyway, Dallas Goddard also last night, he went down with a shoulder injury after he had his face twisted in the face mask penalty that was not called. And then we also talked about disappointing QBs. And so as we continue on with the show, of course, I'm going to take your phone calls. I want to talk to you about some issues with the NFL facilities, the stadiums, people, more and more people are complaining about the field.

They want grass. We got an NFL player who's actually suing a team in a league because of safety protocols because he got hurt. And then I need to talk about this. Like cryptocurrency. I know it's been a massive crash and people are worried about it. The whole crypto craze is also.

It's also affecting sports, arenas, athletes, and I don't know if we've seen the big crash yet. We'll talk about that. What we did discuss before the break was, you know, quarterbacks, disappointing QBs. We can go down a list.

I think it's simple. The biggest disappointment is Russell Wilson for a variety of reasons. The trade, the performance of Geno Smith, just how bad they are, three and six.

Just bad all the way around. So I want to take more of your calls. I'm going to talk to you about the grass. I mean, even Pete Carroll, he wasn't happy with the field in Germany. So it doesn't matter. The fields in America suck. The fields in Germany stink.

The NFL doesn't care about its players' safety. But we'll get into that right now. Let's get into this. Stefan, he's calling from Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, thanks for taking my call.

Sure. Yeah, to me, I mean, Russell Wilson, I agree. I think he's been pretty off the season, but I think Aaron Rodgers is massively disappointing. I think he's just a self-righteous, self-serving word that I'm not going to say on the radio. But, you know, with all the off-season shenanigans, you know, whatever you want to do in your off-season, whatever, that's fine.

Go for gold. But you're saying you're awakened and enlightened. I don't know what he's awakened to, maybe losing, because he's, I don't know. But is he the most disappointing quarterback this season, though?

Come on. Well, I mean, I think in the respect that he just doesn't care about anyone other than himself. And I mean, if I was on his team, I'd be disappointed that, I mean, you look at Tom Brady. Tom Brady will, you know, he took cuts, restructured his deal and everything.

And Aaron Rodgers won $50 million, yeah. I mean, if you want to win, like, you know, help your team out, you know. Okay. All right. Well, I mean, we all got choices.

Do I make $50 million and try to win or do I, you know, just say, give me 25? I don't, I don't know. I get you, I get you, Steph.

Yeah, Aaron Rodgers is a, he is a peculiar fellow. At the same time, I don't know if I'd put him in a disappointing space, but I got you, man. Okay. All right. Thank you, man.

Appreciate you. Paul is here from Pennsylvania. Go ahead, Paul.

Hey, Jr. Thanks for taking my call. Certainly.

The first thing I want to say is, you guys say Denver sucks, but I agree with the offense and Hackett, but the defense is lights out. Well, Paul, let's, let's save time. I mentioned that. Okay. Go ahead.

All right. So how much do you think of Nathaniel Hackett has to do with this? I mean, he looks like a fish out of water. I mean, I know the Russell suck and he's hesitating. He's got the happy feet. He's pumping the ball, pump faking, taking sacks, but the play calling just looks awful to me.

Yeah, we saw that held Derek Henry to 63 yards on 19 carries. That's, that's hard to do. You know what I mean?

So it does fall. I will agree with you. He is absolutely the most biggest disappointment. But my question is, how much do you think Nathaniel Hackett has to do with it? Oh, he plays a role.

He plays a role. I mean, but that doesn't, doesn't take away from that. I don't know how much you heard Paul, because I, I did mention the defense. That was one of the first things I mentioned in discussing this.

And I also mentioned Nathaniel Hackett. No, it's okay. Yeah, I just tuned in about a half hour ago. Yeah, no, we mentioned this at the top of the hour, so it's all good. No, there's blame to go around for everybody. But when you look at the circle, Nathaniel Hackett is probably going to get the boot at the end of the season. So I think we all know that much.

But when you look at Oh, yeah, absolutely. When you think about all of the circumstances surrounding Russell Wilson, like they ain't gonna play games. It wouldn't shock me. If and I don't know if they're going to bring in some some hotshot young guy, you know, or whether they want to go for Sean Payton. And why would Sean Payton want this?

Or maybe he does. But Nathaniel Hackett, we've seen the close losses. We see the offense. Everything about this team. Yeah, 6-1 score losses. Yes, everything about this team is underperforming. And that includes Russell Wilson, who you basically sold the whole house for and then you're not getting an ROI.

So yeah, absolutely. Pete Carroll looks like a genius right now. Well, yeah, he wants to tell you about it too. You know, he talked last week about it.

Well, he knows how to talk. Last week, he's like, Oh, yeah, now I got a quarterback who actually, you know, reads the plays off of his wrist. It's like, shut up, Pete Carroll. Come on, man.

I go to Germany and try to win a football game. Richard's calling from Atlanta. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, how you doing? I'm doing absolutely amazing. My man. I love the show, man.

Love what you're doing. I got two things to talk about. I talked about Geno Smith, and everybody talks about dismissing him and trying to be so anti Geno Smith. Still, you know, Smith used to be a heistman and hopeful about six games into West Virginia's thing. And I'm like, he sat on the sidelines, he absorbed his stuff and everything that he was doing. And now he's in there. I mean, it takes six years to truly be an NFL quarterback. I mean, it may take shorter for some other guys, but Smith absorbed all that stuff.

And now he's where he's supposed to be. So I don't dismiss Geno Smith. I don't hear anybody dismissing Geno Smith. I mean, who's not giving this guy credit?

Man, I'm with another sports talk radio and all they talk about is this one and that one. And I'm like, Geno Smith, that's how you get there. That's how you get there. I don't.

Well, I don't know if that's how you get there. This man is he's like two steps away. Let's be real. He's still two steps away from being a backup. He's he's having a great season. He started off with a great year. Let's see if he can continue it. We just saw them take an L out in Munich, Germany against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. And he looks like a different quarterback. And I think from what I've heard and I'm not sitting around listening to every pundit and idiot.

But the fact is, I haven't I haven't heard people, you know, killing Geno. He's he's had a great year. Yeah, you're right. But I just like this time. OK, it's this time. Well, I hope he can hold on to it.

I hope he doesn't owe any of his teammates money because the last time he did, he got punched in the mouth. He said, put his time in and now it's time to show the talent that he had from college. OK. Yeah. And I last time to talk about. Oh, there's more that you want to say.

Go ahead. I mean, but just Saturday and who's the other coach and the other guy's name. But I'm just saying that who's the other coach that they fired? Frank Reich. Frank Reich. Man, I remember him when he was a quarterback actually playing football. Yes.

He was the one that Warren Moon won the game by turning some points down. But I'm just saying everybody has to come from somewhere. And now Jeff Saturday is the one that's on the on the on the thing. So let's just Saturday. It's his turn. Well, let's see how long he can last the season.

OK, maybe maybe he doesn't last into next year. It's just Saturday's turn, is it? Why?

Because Jim Erce said so. The possible. Dave is here from Alabama, your CBS sports radio. What's up, Dave? Hey, how are you doing tonight, Matt?

I'm terrific. What's up, man? Look, I may live in Alabama, but I'm not from Alabama, but I am glad that he's not in the college football playoffs because I've got tired of you guys, man. It's like Alabama is Alabama.

Everybody was talking about Alabama. God, let them lose. I'm glad Tennessee beat them. And I'm glad I think LSU beat them, too. Yeah.

Beat them by a point. Yeah. Good. And the thing about it is it's like this, right? When you when you're when you live in a state called Alabama. And I'm like, people just wear around these red T-shirts about how well that they did. I'm like, God, this team has to lose.

And I look for them. Lose it because the doggone governor is a falchion drunk anyway. Oh, OK. OK. Slow down.

I'm good. I'm just driving my big truck tonight. That's all your big. How big is your big truck? Fifty three footer.

Fifty three foot. What's in the back of that truck? Auto parts. You got auto.

I was hoping you had like a PlayStation five, maybe a Mercedes. I mean, not likely. Well, listen, I'm shot. Khan got rich off of auto parts. So maybe you can sell some of that.

I'll help you. Now we shall see. But another thing about the district quarter quarterbacks.

Yes. So when that man hasn't been able to get over that, he did not participate in the Super Bowl. His mind is stuck there. And that's why he's so disappointed.

He's trying to play hero ball so he could try to see Biko win or get in a playoff. Some kind of way. But it's not working for. Yeah. It's it's going to eat him alive. Thank God that he's making all this money. But that that that not playing in the Super Bowl thing, I think it screwed up his head.

It certainly did. And not only that. And then Russell Wilson. Oh, my gosh. That man felt just fell off a wagon. I mean, I'm not going to a wagon. I'm not going to write off his career.

And thank you, Dave, for calling from Alabama. I'm not going to I'm not going to say Russell Wilson. He's getting older. Have we seen the best of them? That's that's to be seen.

It might be a terrible contract, might. Eight, five, five, two and two for CBS. Dave had mentioned Alabama talked about how how thrilled he is. He called them red T-shirts. It's crimson.

I would think, you know, that he probably does. But anyway, yeah, they lost to Tennessee. They lost to LSU. Right now, they're in the eighth spot when you think about the college football playoff. And even in their last game, barely beat Ole Miss 30 to 24.

That used to be a team and a squad that they would just go out there and absolutely wipe out. Well, if you want to know what's wrong with Alabama this year, listen to Nick Saban after that last game. You know, sometimes you just got to do simple things better, you know, simple things like focusing on doing your job, focusing on the snap count, focusing on who you block and focusing on what your eye control is in terms of what you're looking at. You got to do simple things better. Damn. If he's saying that in public, I know he's cursing those guys out in private. While making 12 million dollars, not too shabby. It's the JR sport show here with you on CBS Sports Radio.

I'll take more your calls. And on the other side of the break, you know, we talked about Gino Smith. This man just played in Germany. He was out in Munich. Beautiful city.

Absolutely beautiful city with beautiful beer. That field that they played on. Pete Carroll wasn't happy with it. We saw Tom Brady slip on that field.

And then we also have an NFL player who is suing right now because of an injury on a field. We'll talk about it on the other side. It's the JR sport reshow CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. Hello, JR. My first time calling you and I find you to be an excellent guy to listen to. So good luck. I hope you never lose this spot because really you're so bright and intelligent and you cover it all.

And I'm very happy to listen to you. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. Who the hell is that guy fooling? All them lies.

855-212-4CBS. I tell you what's not a lie. Man, the NFL. I guess not.

But. NFL players want to play on grass. Sick of this turf. We've been hearing about this for years and seasons now. Like how many people have to get busted up and blow out an ACL at MetLife in New Jersey?

Homer the Giants and the Jets. How many players have to go out to SoFi Stadium and just come up lame on a non-contact injuries like DK Metcalf or JC Jackson? How many more of these injuries do we have to see?

And it's not just here in the United States of America. I'm going to tell you about a lawsuit. We got a player suing everybody and a mama right now.

I'll tell you about that in a second. But then you got Pete Carroll. Who just went out to Germany.

His team lost to Tom Brady. Pete Carroll was on 710 in Seattle and he was like, hey, we just went to Germany. We went to Munich and the field sucked. This field was it's a nightmare because you don't know when you're going to your footings going to give away.

And the fields felt wet and was soft on the top. You couldn't get in. You couldn't really dig in. Our guys all change their cleats and to feel better about it. But they still when you really power down and you have to dig in like pass rushers coming around an edge or trying to drive a tackle back.

The footing just isn't there. So you're always kind of on pins and needles as you're taking your footwork and even the quarterbacks, you know, it affects everybody. So you would think of the receivers and the DBs. Yes.

And that's a big deal. But can Walker hit the ground two or three times? You know, they're trying to make a cut because the ground just the turf couldn't hold them up and hold for him. So it's a little bit of a nightmare. It's really hard on the pass rushers.

They can tell the whole time that they just can't dig in. No. Wow.

Okay. The NFL says it wants to have games and in more European countries. They want to have a game in in Spain. Think they said they want to have a game in France. Okay, fine.

Go for it. They played at the home of Bayern Munich. I don't know how the soccer players get down, but Pete Carroll says the turf sucked and maybe it did. I saw Leonard Fournette throw a pass to Tom Brady and Tom Brady slipped. Could you imagine? If Tom Brady went out there on that damn route. And if he not only just slipped and bust his ass and then he tried to trip the guy, but I digress. Would the NFL change things up then? And sure, it's in Germany, but I think we get the point here. Or maybe not.

Maybe it doesn't matter. But could you imagine if Tom Brady went out there and tore his ACL while trying to run a route? Like we'd never hear the end of it. Similar to the players saying that we want to play on on grass. We don't want to play on turf.

This is crazy. And ironically, this isn't so much about the the field of play, but we have an NFL player. Who is suing the NFL. He is suing.

The Chargers. He is suing everybody who will stop and listen. His name is Aaron Patrick. He's suing ESPN. This man ran out off the field. He's trying to make a tackle. He plays for the Denver Broncos.

You probably don't know who he is because he probably doesn't. I don't think he has more than five career tackles. But he ran off of the field trying to make a tackle. And he slipped on a television mat.

And the mats purpose is to go ahead and and cover all of the wires and television equipment that's out there. And he suffered a torn ACL. And so he is now suing everybody in hopes of, I guess, getting some money. And that the NFL and the Chargers and ESPN that they didn't do a good enough job protecting him while he was out there. Now, if he was a superstar player, would he be doing this?

I highly doubt it. This is only his second year in the NFL. He's probably thrilled and happy to be in the league. And I guess he he sees an easier money grab here. And so he's going for the cash.

It's real tricky here. And oh, yeah, by the way, when it comes down to the actual playing surface, the NFL has made it very, very clear because they're supporting all of their findings with data. They're saying that the rate of non-contact injuries to the knees, the ankle and foot. It's the same, whether it's grass, whether it's turf, the NFL is saying, hey, here are the numbers. The rate of injury is exactly the same. And the NFL players are like, hey, no, we want to play on grass.

And the owners are just like. No, it's a matter of cost, if you ask me. And I think anyone who's actually run on grass versus run on turf, you feel the difference. Your legs feel the difference. You don't you don't wake up as sore the next day.

You're not taking the same type of pounding. And quite frankly, the NFL is being cheap here. It is a lot of money to switch over to grass and to maintain grass. And, you know, you do have certain stadiums that get used more than all others. So, yes, it's it's a matter of economics. It's all about cost. All things considered, the players should be on grass. But the NFL makes enough money.

I don't think they need to run around being cheap about this. 855-212-4CBS. Phil is here from Buffalo. You're on the JR Sportbree show. What's up, Phil? How are you doing?

Excuse me? How are you doing? Oh, I'm excellent. How are you?

I'm fine. You know, I finally retired. And now I have time to call you.

I'm the first time caller. But I like the guy when you opened your this series. I ditto him about you.

Oh, you did what? Ditto about what he said. Ditto? D-I-T-T-O.

Ditto? Yeah, what he said. Oh, OK.

This statement. Oh, oh, oh, the guy that said he likes me a lot. Well, thank you. I like you too. What's up? And I do.

And I never had time to give you a call. I'm happy that you're here. I have been a football fan. I'm a Bill's Mafia. A Buffalo Bill's Mafia.

I'm from Buffalo. What do you think about the Bills? Tell me. No, no.

I totally agree that the owners, because of money, they don't listen to the little guy that's saying, hey, I enjoy this better. That's what I love football about. I watch O.J. run. I was in the stands when O.J.

was running. OK, that's how much I watch football. And that's why I love football, because they can play in any condition except, you know, a thunderstorm, that kind of stuff. But other sports, you know, I watch other sports and it was like, oh, this has happened. We can't play the game.

No, football went on, even in whatever, and they played on grass. And if the players like that, the owners should listen. They make enough money and they should give their employees the benefit of the doubt. OK.

It's their thought. Well, thank you, Phil. Appreciate you, man. Now we'll go to the Bills. Oh, we're not finished yet? No, we're not finished. It took a while to get there, but we kind of landed a little bit there. Oh, my God. Well, Phil, we only have, uh, we only have, uh, a little bit.

All right, all right, all right. My problem is with the Bills. Please tell me the number one problem. I watched them go to four Super Bowls in a row, and I was happy. Well, don't tell me about that.

Tell me about the problem right now. Now I got the younger guys enjoying what I enjoyed. Oh, my God. We changed offensive coordinators. Yes, Dave Ball is now the coach. I'm glad he got the job at the Giants. I knew he would be doing a good job. Anyway, our offense coordinator is young and very naive.

And our last game against the Vikings in the fourth quarter, when he had the ball and they had... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, Phil. Phil.

They didn't know either. Phil is on hold. Phil is recently retired, and so now he has time. And so now Phil is, he's telling everybody about, you know, what he feels.

I want to save us time here, and I want to see if I'm accurate. Phil doesn't like the new offensive coordinator. I think, I think we get it. I want to ask Phil if that's accurate, and then I'm going to throw to the news with Marco Belletti. He's going to go into a diatribe about the national championship in Ken Dorsey, Miami.

So just be ready for that. No, he's not. Let's see. Hey, Phil, you're on CBS Sports, right? Oh, wrong Phil. Wrong Phil. Hey, Phil from Buff... There's so many Phil's here.

Phil from Buffalo. You still there? Yes. Okay, so simple question here.

So, because I got to move on. All right, I understand. Wait, wait, wait. No, it's a simple question.

It's a yes or no. Yeah, I get it. No, okay. Well, well, well, okay. You don't like Ken Dorsey? I, I, I...

Yes or no? He's got to get, he's got to learn. Okay, so you don't like him.

He's got to learn how to be a good offensive coordinator. Okay. Well, thank you, Phil. I appreciate you for calling from Buffalo. Thank you so much.

Okay. He's recently... God bless him. Hey, Phil, congratulations on retirement, man. Congratulations. Now he has all the time to talk in the world.

855-212-4CBS. There's nothing like retirement. You got to love it. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, JR, man, this is going to be cliche as a mug, but a long time, long time listener. First time caller, man. And I appreciate your show. Big time.

You have so much insight. I just want to give you props on that. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. The Brooklyn Nets played basketball tonight. That they did. Against the Sacramento Kings in Sacramento. The Brooklyn Nets let the Sacramento Kings score 153 points.

What is this? It's not like Sacramento did anything. I guess at one point this was just a track meet. I ain't watched the game. Sacramento wins 153-121.

What the hell? The Brooklyn Nets now fall a 6-9. There's still no Kyrie Irving. And this is what I just absolutely find hilarious.

Over the weekend, as I do weekends, I broadcast up in New York on WFAN. And I had people hit me up telling me, oh, Brooklyn Nets now play defense under Jacques Vaughn. Now that Steve Nash is gone. Like, what? Like, you don't understand that Kyrie Irving being gone is why the Brooklyn Nets probably performed better over the past week.

And so where are those people at tonight? Please let me know if you know what this human being looks like. Terrence Davis. This man dropped 31 points for the Sacramento Kings against the Nets. Yeah, Terrence Davis. He would walk by you right now. You'd have no idea who he is. Kevin Durant had 27 points for the Nets. Edmund Sumner had 18 points. You probably don't know who he is either.

And this is just the sinking ship. He's been good for them. Who has been good? Uh, Edmund. Not tonight, but... Yeah, you know who he is. I didn't ask you about you. That's fair.

And that's all just the sinking ship. Terrence played at the University of Mississippi, I believe. Davis, right? He played in the SEC? Davis who? Terrence Davis. I don't know, man. I don't know where he went to college.

I don't know. You know, he's barely been in the league. He don't play that much, I know. Jared, the Kings are playing well, man. Like, you know this. They're a good team this year.

People are sleeping on them. The Sacramento Kings? They're average, man. That's good for the Kings. Yeah, they haven't been to the playoffs in what now? 20-something years?

I don't know. They're like doing their best impression of the Mariners. Minus 2022, of course. Yeah, they have the longest drought, the Kings do, of any team in the NBA not having gone to the playoffs. And good, you know what? Yeah, good for them. They ain't gonna win nothing. I mean, well... You see, this is the part that sucks.

And my apologies to all my friends in Sacramento. The Kings are okay. Are they gonna get into a play-in or something like that?

Probably, maybe. But this ain't it. Like, something still has to happen. It's not, oh my God, we brought in Sabonis last year. Now, we gonna make some moves.

No, it's not happening. Poor Sacramento Kings. Anyway, 855-2124 CBS.

That's 855-2124 CBS. Matter of fact, after giving up 153 points, the man who replaced Steve Nash, Jacques Vaughn, that's what he had to say about getting the asses kicked. Give them credit. They basically kicked our butts. We all were a part of it.

I'm a part of it. And we got another game on this trip. How will we respond with this last game on the trip?

I don't know. They got the Portland Trailblazers up next, so I guess Damian Lillard will go out there and cook them. Brooklyn Nets lost to the Lakers with Noel Lebron. They give up 153 points to Sacramento. You got Portland coming up next before they return home. And oh yeah, guess what?

The soap opera isn't done because Kyrie Irving, we don't know when he's coming back. No idea. 855-2124 CBS. Phil is here from Chicago. What's on your mind, Phil? Hey, Phil, you're live. Hey, how you doing? I'm good. You are about two seconds away from not being live.

What's on your mind? No, when you were talking about the underperforming quarterbacks. Yes. I think Matt Ryan's name needs to be mentioned. Yeah, but it's the expectations, though. So he's playing behind a crap offensive line. The offensive line isn't even allowing them to have a typical running game that they would have with Jonathan Taylor. Yes, he just had a great game.

But I think most people would look at Matt Ryan and go. Yeah, he's past his expiration date. He's still okay.

He can perform but ain't you ain't getting nothing else out of him. It's over. Okay, I'm sorry. I feel like I disappointed you, Phil. I mean, yeah, but I expected water out of the coat this year. I thought Matt Ryan was going at least get us to the playoffs.

Well, I don't I wouldn't I wouldn't do that. I mean, if I have to think about the quarterbacks that they brought in. It's like they're just going through a carousel of of let's pull in veterans and see what we can squeeze out of it.

And none of it's ever worked. Yeah, I feel bad about Frank Reich. But it was the NFL, man. Well, you're a very empathetic human being, Phil. You're a good guy, huh? Yeah, I mean, I like Frank. I like Frank Wright.

I mean, he brought in Carson Wentz and he could turn him around and. Man, you're a nice guy, Phil. Keep being nice. Okay. All right, brother. Thank you. No doubt about it.

Don't be a jerk like me. He's like, yeah, yeah, I feel bad for Frank. Right.

Likes Frank. Right. And he pardoned Carson Wentz.

We both heard the same sentence, right? Listen. Let him be a great guy, man. We got enough jerks out here.

Let a let a good human being be a good one. And Carson Wentz is one of them. Carson Wentz is a what? Well, he's Carson Wentz is one of the jerk. You ever met an ex teammate of his that had anything nice to say about him? Oh, nobody likes that.

OK, I'm glad we're on the same page. You think he talks? You think he talks to Nick Falls?

Eight, five, five, two, one, two, four. CBS Bill is calling from Florida. What's up, Bill? What's up, guys? Hey, first time caller. I'm on a national show. CBS is awesome. OK, thank you. Two seconds. Jason Tatum is amazing.

Imea Doku screwed up as a human being. The new guy, the new coach, Mozilla. Correct. He's doing a good job. I should go to Celtics and get. Oh, I'm just kidding when I say that. OK. But but I think that. The Celtics.

Tatum is coming into that Kobe Bryant Jordan type. You don't think so. Finish now. Go ahead. Humor us.

Go ahead. I know I'm a Celtics fan, but no, but I think I think for real, I think you know what? And Jalen, good guy, good kid. Tatum, good guy, good kid. They deliver no drama, no Kyrie.

And I was like, I love seeing Kyrie suit up in Celtics. Did you? Why? I YouTube it often, but I'm glad he's gone because it's no good.

And luckily, and then you got Marcus in those other guys that are doing their thing. You know what I'm saying? But anyway, that's not why I called. I think why I called is because I really enjoy this show. And but you had other great points earlier and I was listening to it.

I'm just unfortunately a little too screwed up to remember what you said about 20, 30 minutes ago. But but Celtics come on now. They're number one in the power rankings, according to some polls.

Who's better than them? And I know some teams are a little injured, like Giannis has been out. Yeah, the Celtics. And thank you for the kind words, Bill.

The Celtics are doing exactly what they need to do this season. That's when it's amazing. Excuse me. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cut you off. I apologize.

No. What did you say? I didn't hear you. You said it's a surprising start is all the Celtics being 11 and three is a surprising start with a coach that's not email. And the whole thing, you know, the way that the talent, the talent is still there. And you can pin a lot of that. And you mentioned his name. Thank you, Bill, for calling from Florida.

Thank you for the kind words. You can look at Jason Tatum. He has evolved. It was just a matter of when for Tatum watching him play basically his rookie season. I remember him going at LeBron and there were some games and series and some plays. He was giving LeBron the business. And so to see his growth here and now going to the finals and come out of that and and be even better.

What I'm impressed with is that for a dude who's taken about 10 threes a game, he shoots 50 percent from the field. Like he might be. And it's early.

So who cares? But he's in the MVP conversation. It'll probably be between him and Luca. And, you know, I don't know, maybe Donovan Mitchell gets it. If the the Cavaliers, it's going to be whoever has the best record. And it might be the Celtics. So it wouldn't shock me if this man walked away and said, hey, I got an MVP award. Is it going to move the Boston Celtics closer to a championship or title?

I'm not so sure. Things are very, very open right now. Just all over the NBA. You've got to deal with injuries and you know what happens with Philadelphia. James Harden already hurt Brooklyn Nets.

Hot trash. The Bucks. A lot of their guys, their shooters aren't even playing yet. Chris Middleton isn't back.

He should be back, I'd say, before we get to mid-December. So it's it's a good thing. NBA is wide open. NFL is wide open. Major League Baseball.

Oh, Rizzo just got paid. Even baseball. It's nice when you have parity in all of these sports.

Don't have the same damn teams winning all the time. Nice to get a switch up here and there. I know Tom Brady is on his way back and Aaron Rodgers looks like he's on his way back. Let's switch things up every now and then, OK? It's the J.R. sport re-show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. We're going to take a break.

I want to get some more of your calls. And speaking of switching things up. Sometimes you've got to know how to play it safe. Sometimes you make a change and you try to be progressive.

It kicks you in the ass. Crypto. Yes, crypto.

You heard correctly. This is not CNBC. This is not The Wall Street Journal. But crypto is having an effect on sports right now in a big way. Athletes, teams, even arenas. I'll tell you what's going on on the other side.
