General manager Joe Shane is going to stick around. The offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is going to now run the team. And I guess putting Jackson Dart out there wasn't enough to save Brian Daybolt's job. We're going to get into that momentarily. Matter of fact, Patricia Trayna Covers all things, New York Giants, and she'll be here with us next hour on behalf of Sports Illustrated.
So I'll have that chat. Also, so much going on in the NFL, including a Monday night football matchup. We got the Green Bay Packers. and the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, I mean, you got the Packers dealing with all these injuries, you got the Eagles coming off of a bye, and we're going to have a chat later on in the show with Luke Easterling, who covers all things football, for Athlon Sports.
Okay, we had Indiana, what a catch, what a game over the weekend. Indiana going out there beating Penn State. LSU.
Well, they lost again Alabama. Their coaches, well, their old coaches still looking for money. Joe Burrow, speaking to LSU. He's back to practisin. There's another guy from LSU, well Jaden Daniels doesn't look like he's gonna play.
in the Commanders next game. Looks like we'll get Brock Purdy back sooner than later. Patriots are rollin' right now. Buffalo Bills are takin' owls, the Steelers took an owl, Yeah, we got a couple of Pictures with the Guardians, man, they may be taking illegal L. Yeah, you got to be careful out there with that sports betting, folks.
Don't let it get you in trouble. We should have the rookie of the year. in Major League Baseball, ALNL. We should have that announced later on this evening. And of course, at the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history.

Keeping busy, minding my business, staying out of A trouble.
Botcha, you stay out of trouble this weekend. I haven't I did nothing wrong. I hadn't I'm clean. Good. I'm happy to hear that.
Great to have you back here. We're going to talk about a couple of individuals later on in the show. They are not clean. Amano Klase is not clean.
Well, he's been indicted, but we'll get into that. later on in the show, man. We got athletes out here just trying to alter and manipulate their performance, or for monetary gain for themselves or their friends. But we'll we'll get into that Later on in the show, of course, I mentioned we'll talk about Monday Night Football as we get a little closer. I kick off and in Green Bay, Wisconsin is going to take place in about two hours from now between the Eagles and the Packers.
But let's talk about the news that broke this afternoon. Take a listen to this, courtesy of CBS Sports HQ. We've got breaking news out of the NFL. Giants have fired head coach Brian Dable, according to our insider Jonathan Jones. The move comes a day after the Giants lost a 10-point lead, the final four minutes, and a loss to the Bears.
Giants are in the midst of a nightmare season at 2-8. Bad losses, big injuries. Notables include my league neighbors Cam Scataboo, Dave All exits after nearly four full seasons with a 20, 40, and 1 record. Giants offensive point air Mike Kafka going to be the interim coach. for multiple reports.
Wow. I was a little surprised that they fired Brian Dayball. But then we got this statement from the owner of the Of the New York Giants, or their owners. They got two owners, the Tisch family and the Meyer family. And John Mara Steve Tisch said, The past few seasons have been nothing short of disappointing, and we have not met our expectations for this franchise.
We understand the frustrations of our fans, and we will look to deliver a significantly improved. product. We feel like Joe, Joe Shane the GM, has assembled a good young nucleus of talent and we look forward to its development. Unfortunately, the results over the past three years have not been what any of us want. We take full responsibility for those results and look forward to the kind of success our fans expect.
These are difficult decisions, and John and I do not take them lightly, but we feel this is the right thing to do at this time and will allow us to move. forward. Damn. I thought when Jackson Dart got the call, when Brian Daybox put him out there, that they were going to give him some rope. To kind of progress things with the quarterback.
of his choosing. And we've heard so much over the past year that well, not even the past year, the past several months That Jackson Dart was selected because Brian Dayboll wanted him. And so, no shock that Russell Wilson ultimately got told to sit down on the bench and carry some water. Got a nice wife, so what does he ma what does he care? But now we see Jackson Dart, which we have, and Jackson Dart has been good.
Ten touchdowns, three interceptions, not too shabby. I mean, yesterday before he went out with a concussion, I'll get to that in a second. Two rushing touchdowns. Jackson Dart is the first quarterback with a touchdown rushing and five straight touchdowns. Games.
That also might be one of the problems. You heard a lot of the injuries that have uh plagued the New York Giants, Malik neighbors, Cam Scatterboo. We're talking about blown-out ACLs and broken legs and broken ankles. Maybe Jackson Dart, was doing a little too much running. This man has been evaluated.
for four concussions already the season. Maybe that's an issue. Maybe that's a problem. Maybe the New York Giants didn't do a good enough job, or Brian Dayboll did. in protecting Jackson Dart.
from hisself. And I guess what sealed it? I know what sealed it was that loss yesterday to the Bears. The New York Giants led twenty to ten with ten minutes left. They let the Chicago Bears come through and score fourteen points.
This season, the New York Giants have had four blown leads of ten plus points. Most famously, that disaster In Denver, Colorado, where they had a 32-0 lead and lost 33-32. You can't. Make this up I mean one of the things that Brian Daybold was asked yesterday after they lost to the Chicago Bears was Why y'all keep losing, man? Why couldn't you finish the game off?
Yeah, I mean there was a number of things today.
So there was, you know, all three phases. Just didn't get the job done. No, damn.
Well, I was pretty uh That was a pretty relaxed answer. Typically Brian Daybole answers you like you're walking him to the plank, or he's walking the plank like he's going to get thrown off of the ship. He's one of the more abrasive Short. Coaches, curt when it comes to speaking and addressing the media, not friendly. We've seen him get up in his players' faces and yell at him and he's throwing tablets.
He's he's pretty irate. Pretty miserable. You know, he came over as offensive coordinator from the Buffalo Bills. Maybe he'll go back to the Buffalo Bills and become their offensive coordinator. Again, it's quite possible.
But bein' a head coach it didn't seem like he had the temperament. God bless him, coach of the year, first year out the gate, goes to the playoffs with Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, and that seemed to be a too good to be true, and then they came crashing back down to reality. And the reality is, now that he got the quarterback of his choosing, he won't even be able to see him forward. He can't control the game. The game gets away.
He'd ticks off his players. He'd ticks off his media. Here we got another guy. who just seems like a baby version of Bilbalachak. Hey, I told you about the quarterback Jackson Dart.
Man, we may not even see him in the next game. that the New York Giants go out there and play. Dealing with concussion. He's a concussion protocol. Hey, Brian Thabol.
The guy that you just drafted out of old mist, the New York Giants quarterback of the future, we want his brain to work. He keeps getting hurt. What's up with his concussions, man? We've talked to you a lot about the number of hits that Jackson takes with running, not getting down, things like that. Is this one where you feel like it caught up to him?
Oh. This is the fourth time he's been checked for a concussion. He was sore getting up a week ago. Yeah. Um.
Yeah, it's un unfortunate, but You know. Yeah. Unfortunately got hurt. Yeah, it's unfortunate the guy it is. He's like, Man, what am I gonna say?
He's like, we got a record of two and eight. We just blew another lead. They probably gonna fire my backside tomorrow.
Well, what do you want me to say? We want me to put him in bubble wrap behind a line of scrimmage. What am I supposed to do? I'm trying to save my behind by having a quarterback out there. I don't trust Russell Wilson.
What the heck am I putting Jameis Winston out there to throw interceptions? I gotta roll with this dude. I thought personally that Jackson Dart was going to save the job. Of Brian Dayball. It wasn't enough.
And now the New York Giants will, with their interim head coach Mike Kafka, will now put out their sixth head coach, Since what, twenty sixteen? Like every other year it's a it's a new head coach, And so yesterday Brian Daybox was asked specifically. about his job and whether or not he was going to keep it, This was his response. Ryan, you are you worried about your job at two and eight? Yeah, I'm just focussed on um You know, these guys in the locker room.
You know, they're tough losses, Dan. They really are. Everybody puts so much into it. The coaches put so much into it. The players.
You know, and it's painful when you have these endings. You know, you stick together. And you know, that's what that's what you have to do. They've had too many. of these endings.
Let me tell you again, four blown leads. Where they had a ten-point lead.
Okay, four blown leads. Where they had a 10-point lead. Their next game, the Packers are in action tonight against the Eagles.
Well, if the Packers lose tonight, at least they got the Giants next.
Okay, these Giants are 2-8. And they got help on the defense, but the offense has been carrying them. This is a lost year. for the New York Giants. And Brian Dayboll, unfortunately, he's not going to be there to to lead the charge.
Mike Kafka, he might stick around as the the full-time head coach. It wouldn't surprise me if the Giants decided to keep him around. You know, we hear names like Cliff Kingsbury maybe at the end of the season. coming through to maybe manufacture an offense that'll help out. A Jackson Dart.
Here's what it boils down to. I couldn't tell you of a Cliff Kingsbury who does have head coaching experience. Is he better than Mait Kafka? He has experience. He's worked with Patrick Mahomes.
You think about Matt Kafka, also working with Patrick Mahomes, offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs and their quarterback coach. This is what the Giants need. They need an offensive line. who can help keep Jackson Dart, upright. They need a healthy Malik neighbors.
Unfortunately, the New York Giants. are just in another reset. They're in another rebill. They're bringing in a new coach. and apparently the ownership trusts Joe Shane, to kind of lead them forward.
They got talent they have young talent. This year's just going to be another loss. Another high draft pick Another wasted season And typically when you think about the New York Giants, They they're one of the Blue Bloods. in the NFL. You think about them not being cellar dwellers.
Think about the Steelers and the You know, Stalwarts, the Bears. I know the Bears aren't all that good, but you think about the Bears. I'm talking about OG Classics. in the NFL. The Giants are right there.
But they have been a disaster. in recent years. The fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have been successful, even winning a championship last year with one of their best players in their franchise's history, Saquon Barkley, doesn't help things out. Brian Dayboll is gone. You'll get a job next year as a coordinator somewhere.
But he's gonna have to watch Jackson Dart. from afar. Brian Daybole, if you ask me Do I think he would have been fired at the end of the year, yeah, if things continued to stink? But his attitude His responses. You can't be that big of a jerk in public.
and an also be a loser as a head coach. is Thomas, coach of the New York Giants, granted a lot of injuries, a lot of young players, a Just a bad team all the way around. A record of twenty. Four. And one.
You can be tolerable if you are a or a decent guy people want to deal with. Bryant Daybull just seemed like a A jerk? On to the next one. for the New York Giants. and who knows if uh we'll even see the quarterback Jackson Dart out there.
knowing that he's been uh checked for a concussion four times this season, And oh yeah, by the way, one of those times, Brian Dable. Had the organization find because he wanted to uh check on his QB and get him back in the game. It can't even let the doctors do their job. And Brian Daybolt axed as head coach of the New York Giants. We're just going to waste away.
The remainder of the season. Good for them.
Well, not their fans, though. At least their fans could find something better to do on a Sunday. I don't know, go to church, play with your family. I don't know, take your kids out, go to a movie. I know people don't go shopping anymore, go to a mall, watch another football game.
A whole lot of better things to do than sit around and watch the New York Giants. Maybe not even Jackson Dart. Don't bother if it's Russell Wilson, okay? It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast, on the Infinity Sports Network. Hey, we're gonna have a conversation.
Patricia Trayna is gonna join us next hour. to talk about these New York Giants, okay? We'll get her thoughts on what happens next and did she see the writing on the wall when it came down to Brian Dayball. We're going to talk more NFL in a couple of hours with Luke Easterling. He's going to join us from Athlon Sports.
I mentioned to you, we got Monday night football between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. We'll get into that matchup. Joe Burrow is back to practicing. Looks like we're going to get Brock Purdy back as well. We got Buffalo and the Steelers some ugly losses yesterday.
We got some ugly things going on in Cleveland with the Guardians and some of their players. Gambling, allegedly. And we got a lot to get into. If you want to call, you can. You ready?
Here's the number: 888-710-487. four I S N That's eight eight eight seven ten four. 4ISN. When we come back on the other side of the break, I'll take a look at the phone lines. And speaking of coaches, well, this one, he got fired too.
And apparently he has $54 million. I'm going to tell you about Brian Kelly and what's going on. With LSU. And then we got this big victory with Indiana over the weekend. We got a lot to do.

4ISN. We talked about the firing of New York Giants, now former head coach Brian Daybole. And we're going to talk some Monday night football a little later on the show. Matter of fact, at the top of the hour, we'll get into the. Monday night football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.
One thing, and you know, I'll actually look this up because what else am I going to do? Botcher The weather in Green Bay, Wisconsin in Atlanta is exactly the same right now.
So Traditionally, I'd say, oh, so it's not bad in Green Bay, but how bad is it in Atlanta right now? You know, yesterday, I'd say about midday, it was, I had on shorts and a t-shirt, and it was muggy, okay? This was when the Falcons played in Germany.
So, this is about 10 a.m. I had on shorts and a t-shirt. The sun was out. It was beautiful. It was comfortable.
and we knew that the forecast said that the temperature was going to drop. Botcher, it is thirty two degrees right now.
Okay? The wind is whipping ridiculous outside. We got Arctic air here. and on my way into the studio, for I don't know maybe five minutes it snowed. Oof.
Yeah, we we we have perchance of snow tomorrow. In New York. Yeah, it it went from s fifty five to sixty, and it's gonna drop to thirty degrees tonight. Yeah, we went from seventy five degrees to twenty something degrees, okay? Oh.
What are you going to do? I didn't think that we'd be staring at weather here in Atlanta that would mirror the weather in Green Bay, but here we are. Just getting. All four seasons in 24 hours. We'll talk about the Eagles and the Packers.
We'll get there at the top of the hour. How about this? We got. We got one coach who got fired in Brian Dayball. I don't want to say this is hilarious, but we got another head coach in Brian Kelly, also fired from LSU.
He has a fifty four million dollars buy out in his contract. And there was all this talk about how he sent an email and he was willing to settle and He has rejected, apparently, all of the offers that LSU has presented to him. in in settling. And so it's gotten to the point where they're just like, all right, bro, here take $30, $34 million, take the money. and just go away.
And he said no. And then there's another instance where they're just like, Yeah, take fifteen this year and fifteen next year, and he said, No. And as it stands right now, apparently Brian Kelly. wants all of fifty four million dollars. of his buyout.
Now I can understand it. I'm not a tax attorney. I'm not doing taxes in Louisiana or whatnot. But you know what I don't want at the same time? I don't want you sending me Botcha, this sounds crazy, but if I'm him, I get it.
I don't want you sending me thirty million dollars. That Uncle Sam is automatically gonna take half from. You know, that doesn't make sense. Like, what do they think? He's stupid?
It's like the lottery too. Where it's like if you you take the sum and then you lose half of it and taxes. It's just realistically speaking. You don't want to do that. Yeah, you know, you don't.
And so I I looked at what they reportedly offered Brian Kelly. Uh to just take the money and go away. It just did not seem reasonable. Like, still spread the money out over a span of time. but just giving him a lump sum and just saying take this it's like no man so I mean, in that regard, I'm with Brian Kelly.
Yeah. I like paying my well, I don't I don't like paying my taxes. Uh, I pay my taxes. And I'm happy that uh I guess Brian Kelly is is considering his own taxation, so Things are not too well for LSU on the football side of things as well. They lost.
To Alabama 20-9, so that continues on. And while that game was going on, Botch, I went to State Farm Arena to see the Lakers on Saturday night. and Luka Donchich and whatever was left of the Hawks all the Hawks starters it feel like they were all hurt And um The Lakers got blown out. They officially lost by 20, but they were losing by seeming like 30 points. And I know it was the first game of their road trip, but I'm I'm sitting there watching the game.
It is a T V behind me. And I'm like people are really interested in in Alabama, L S, U S, Alabama's whooping their ass. Like people uh like look at Donchich's Trying to put the Lakers back in the game, and people are like, oh, Alabama, LSU. I'm like, come on, LSU is going to get their ass whopped. And that's what happened.
Well I can't blame him just because... It's a regular season basketball game. I know it's the Lakers. I know it's the Lakers. But there's a lot of basketball and not a lot of college football.
And there's still a very, very, very small percent chance that LSU could have made it run somehow. Who's looking at LSU right now? All the people, and shout outs to all my people in the red baton. Shout out to everybody in Baton Rouge. Who's paying attention to LSU?
Like, they're thinking about who their next coach is going to be, how much money they got to pay. Their governor is sitting around going, Oh my god, who's going to foot the bill? Hopefully, not my taxpayers. He's being a complete jerk. Ain't nobody thinking about LSU football the rest of this year?
Yeah, I was about to say maybe James Franklin, Lincoln Riley, Lane Kiffin, maybe some of them.
Well, they're going to get millions of dollars. They don't count. Yeah, no. But other than that the regular fan, you shouldn't be. Yeah, who cares?
I'm like, come on now. Like, why do I want to turn somebody botcha?
Somebody turn to me and go LSU help me like I do not care right now. You ask him. I turned my shoulder, I looked at the score and I'm like, Man, whatever. I'm just You turn back around and watch this basketball game. I do not care.
I'll tell you what I did see. This is pretty remarkable over the weekend. Speaking of Penn State well, not Penn State, but James Franklin. Indiana, that catch By Omar Cooper at the end of the game, that toe tap. That ended up counting.
Indiana led. They gave up the lead. Looked like Penn State had a little bit of victory, but then I guess if you're Penn State, All you do this year. is loose. And so Fernando Mendoza connects with Omar Cooper And a matter of fact, forget LSU and their negativity.
Let's hear some positivity. This is play-by-play. This is that touchdown by Omar Cooper. This is Don Fisher from Indiana Radio. Mendoza.
In the backfield, back to throw. Pressure comes again, throws it to the end zone. And a catch is made. Is it a touchdown? Unbelievable.
Omar Cooper with a grab and he put his foot down. It's a score for Indiana. Yeah, that was a pretty cool catch, man. Everybody, catch of the year, catch of the year.
Well, hell yeah, catch of the year. Indiana is now 10-0. They got Wisconsin up next. They almost blew the lead, but this just uh this builds character. You're showing you have the ability to bounce back in the face.
of adversity.
Now we got Fernando Mendoza. who is a a candidate for the Heisman. We'll see how it bears out over the next several weeks. He took the extreme. Me?
I'm not willing to die on this microphone. I guess I'm standing up. Nobody's hurting me. I'm not going to be injured. Maybe I can.
Bacha, what's the worst that could happen to me? I could choke on air, right? Uh choke. Cramp A lot of things. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, but a cramp is not going to kill you. But if I choke, I can stop breathing. Fernando Mendoza is getting hit by 300-pound guys. He said he is willing to die. on the football field.
So yeah, I mean physically I feel good. I would say I'm a larger quarterback but to see what the defense, special teams and offense, especially the offensive line when they're going through battling every play, I can't stay on the ground. No matter how hard the hit is, no matter how much it hurts, when seeing those guys, when seeing Charlie Beckers over there, my roommate, or seeing Omar Cooper Jr. take a hit on the scene or seeing, you know, Pat Coogan, Khalil Benson battling their butts off, I know that I'm gonna put my life on the line for that team and I'm gonna die on that field. I will never sub myself out in that instance and I would die on that field for my brothers.
Dan well, l listen, man, I don't that's why I don't play football, man. I don't need nobody hitting me. I ain't dying for nothing. Not on the football field. You can throw that completely out the window.
I can tell you somebody who does appreciate them. We know you don't want him dying out there. It is Kurt Signetti. Yeah, this contract, or excuse me, this is a coach who ain't going nowhere. They just gave him an eight-year, $93 million deal to stick around in Indiana.
Hey, how do you feel about your quarterback, Kurt? Fernando never ceases to amaze me. He's so deep, he's so intelligent, he's such a good and caring, giving person. That you know, he's an A every single interview. And he'd be a huge success in anything he decides to do.
one day when football ends. I mean he's just a special, unique person. And it's all real. He's willing to give his life, we heard that part of it. Wow Amazing.
I told you they got Wisconsin up next. Indiana expected probably to once again be number two. In the college football playoff rankings, as it starts, well, we'll get the second edition. to morrow. Wild stuff.
Eight at eight seven ten four I S N Eight eight eight seven ten four I S N Here we go. We got Lou from Rochester. You on the JR Sport Re Show. What's up, Lou? AJR, haven't called you in a bit, but listen, This is the ball firing.
he's really the thing that would write Buffalo's passing game. Uh 'cause he knows Alan's palance and he knows passing. That's why he lik dart so much. But but who Joe Brady does not know passing. He's a run guy.
And it's really like putting Alan out of his rhythm and stuff that If the bills take like a hit to the bucks and tucksons in the next ten days, all kinds of crap is going to fly here. And McDermott was even asked at his press conference today if he's got any intention of bringing the bull back in some kind of Sense, but he should bring him back as the offensive coordinator so he can do the job. This is one thought, and thank you so much, Lou, for calling from Rochester. For anyone not familiar, Brian Dayball was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills before taking a head coaching job. With the New York Giants.
Lou mentions Joe Brady. Joe Brady is the current offensive coordinator. For the Buffalo Bills. Joe Brady, regardless of how you feel about him in Buffalo, Western New York, this is someone who has had quite a few conversations over the past few years. You know what with The other teams about head coaching possibilities.
And so Joe Brady might be out, whether it's a good reason from the Buffalo Bills, he got a new job, or maybe he just gets the boot. And so there's an expectation, I think rightfully so, that Brian Dabo may end up back. With the Buffalo Bills, where he had success helping to develop Josh Allen. That's one of the reasons why he got the job with the New York Giants, because he worked with Josh Allen. And I gotta tell you, in some cases that seems pretty hilarious and pretty played out.
It seems like one of the pathways to being a head coach in the NFL is because you worked with a particular quarterback. You groomed a quarterback, and now you can find the next great QB and you could help him out. How many times have we heard that and that turned into absolute Horse crap. I mean, or whatever crap you want to talk about, crap. It happens a lot.
Like we'll talk about Colin Murray. Kyler Murray is basically getting pushed out of Arizona right now. And he was Cliff Kingsbury's guy. How's that working out for him? I mean, we now see Cliff Kingsbury.
He's in Washington with the Commanders. He's worked with plenty of quarterbacks. More recently, Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels is dealing with injuries. Like some of these coaches, man, y you you can be a miracle worker.
working with a Q B and then that fixes your reputation. But come on, I think there comes a point in time Well you also have to know how to lead a team. From day one, I don't think anybody looked at Mike McDaniel and said This is somebody that I want to follow. And now he's just just pretty much beat to hot hell. Over his His delivery.
Like, if you're going to be a coach, you've got to be a coach. And sure, yeah, what they say in public versus what they say in private, two different things. But I think sometimes you can get a little bit of a gleam of of of what somebody is or who they are. just by how they respond to things publicly, even if sometimes it is more of an act and tryin' to keep States secret. Secret.
You know, we know Bill Belichick was more than a one-sentence guy. He just couldn't do it, didn't want to do it publicly. But not everybody wins enough to to behave the way that he did. And now that he's been losing from his time with the New England Patriots up until now with North Carolina. It it's it's warrant then.
Okay, sometimes just just don't be a jerk.
Sometimes that helps.
Okay, that's some Jarrett wisdom for you. Hey, Lou, thank you for calling. From Rochester. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
You know, next hour, we'll talk more about the Buffalo Bills, them losing to Miami. Yeah, we had a couple of teams that took some ugly losses yesterday. The Steelers included last night. Sunday night football, Aaron Rodgers just kind of sucked. He was just terrible.
All over the place. 888-710-4ISN. We'll get to more of your calls on the other side of the break. But I do want to talk about. Another quarterback.
This guy looks like he's on his way back. Man, we might have two QBs on their way back. I'm going to tell you and talk about Joe Burrow. And also, Brock Purdy. It's the JR Sport Reef Show on the Infinity Sports Network.

888-710-4ISN. Let's go to Maryland and talk to Todd. Todd, you're on the J.R. Sport Breeze Show. What's up?
KJR, just curious to know, I got a couple of questions about college football and baseball money.
Okay. Ah, okay. Um first of all Um I guess is it going to get to the point where The university with the most money will be like the Dodgers. And just being A number one. I think we're already in a space like that.
I had a conversation earlier today with a buddy of mine who went to Indiana and we talked about the turnaround from their football program and said, you know, I asked the question, I said, where's Indiana getting all this money? where all of a sudden they can now allocate resources towards the the football program. And then we talked about How you have a school like Oregon and their proximity to Nike and Phil Knight. You know, they can pretty much say, Hey, we want to get people in here, and you have some of the biggest donors. I mean, we can go ahead and look at.
Like calipari, being down in Arkansas. And yeah, I think the name of the game, whether it's college or anything in life. Money talks. And if the money's going to talk, people are going to show up, including the student athletes who can now make cash. Absolutely.
I got you. Good explanation, Gail. But second question, just my final question, because I know you have other people. is um Yeah. All sports are receiving money like baseball, football, basketball, hockey, Oh.
If all the sports are receiving money, Um Yeah. Hey, Coleman, you got me, huh? Oh, you okay. It's and listen, Todd Papp is Hey, listen, they pay me to do this. It happens to me every five minutes, so don't worry about it, okay?
I hear you, brother. All right, I'm going. YouTube Todd, thank you for calling from Maryland. He's like, I'm I'm out of words. I'm just like, hey, they pay me to talk, so I mean.
I'll do the talking for you, Todd. You don't have to worry about that. Eight eight eight seven ten four I S N That's 888-710-4ISN man. College athletics ain't nothing different from anything else. Like money talks, and we heard that, let's put it this way.
We heard this from Nick Sabin. when he decided to walk away from Alabama, Nick's Sabin made it very clear. That the conversations that he was having with recruits, him and his wife, and families, it used to be, you know, this is what we're gonna do for you at Alabama. We're gonna set you up for your future and your life and your education and the scholarship. and he said he knew it was time for him to leave Alabama.
when students, student athletes or quotation marks, would sit down in his living room and families would sit down. And one of the first questions that they would ask would B How much you goin' pay me? Like what's my salary gonna be? How much cash am I gonna make here? at the University of Alabama.
Like how much money am I getting? And so yeah, if you can throw around a bag of cash That you can go out there and get yourself some high-end talent, and we know. There are halves? And there are have nots in the world. That's unfortunately the way it goes.
And specifically and The case of business.
So, yeah, college programs that can throw away some money, throw money at students, yeah, they're always going to be in a good position. Speaking of college, this man won the championship at college. Threw a bunch of touchdowns in college, got a Mahisman in college, went to a Super Bowl with a bumass football team. When he hasn't been hurt, and that's Joe Burrow.
Okay, the Bengals, they lost to the Bears last week. We all know about that horrific loss: 47 to 42. Running back Chase Brown is chiding the defense about how bad they are. The bangles are the bangles. And if you think about your borough, Well, he's been going with that turf tow.
We've had the look at Jake Browning. O and four.
Okay, we have to look at Joe Flacco, what they traded for one and three. Let's do some simple math. The Bengals are one in seven. with an old Joe Burrow. They got a record of three and six.
Well, it appears that Joe Burrow Well, he was back on a practice field to day. and that he's aiming for a thanksgiving return. against the Ravens.
Okay, Joe Burrows speaking for the first time in weeks. This is what he had to say about that return with that busted up foot. You determined to play this year and do wins and losses leading up to when you could play Matter. Yeah, we'll see how these next couple weeks go. You know, there's a lot that goes into it.
Like you said, there's a lot of variables that you have to consider and. We're just gonna see how these next couple weeks go, see how it feels. How tough would that be to be potentially fully healthy but still not hold yourself back from not playing, given all the work you've taken to to get ready to this point? Yeah, we'll just we'll see how the next couple weeks. Go see how it feels and make a decision.
Like I said, a lot of variables that are going to go into this and The number one is is how it's feeling and and my health.
So We'll just take it day by day like we have been throughout the rehab process. Given your history in Baltimore via division game to come back for that game. Fairy. Is that your target? Yeah.
We'll see. We'll see how these next couple weeks go. No, he wants to take it one day at a time. And you think about the Ravens, or not the Ravens, you think about the Bengals, they have a record of 3-6. We saw the Steelers lose last night.
They're five and four. The Ravens are 4-5. We've heard about Lamar Jackson and company saying that they just need to go out there and win out. Bengals are 3-6. The Browns are 2-7.
Ain't nobody thinking about the Browns. But if you're Joe Burrow, of course, if you're healthy, you want to go out there and play. Yeah. Are y'all making the playoffs? Are the Bengals going to get close again like last year and miss out?
Tell me, Joe. Tell me. Yeah, you know, our division is wide open. I think Pitts Pittsburgh's five and four at this point. We play them this week.
So, you know, everything is still there in in front of us. Very rare that our division looks like this. But it does this year, and so I think we'll be at least in it until the end. Is it fair to say with the wild cards that the best path forward would be winning the North? I think it would be very difficult for us to be a wild card team.
this point obviously a lot of A lot of football to be played, but you know, I think that's difficult. I think our best path would be win the division. Man, are they are we expecting them to jump the Ravens and the Steelers? While the things have happened. But I guess if you're a fan in Cincinnati you you got to look forward to something, right?
I don't think they're going to do it. I think they'll end up missing out on the postseason. I mean, last year they got all so close, had to turn things around at the end of the year, and it didn't matter. I think we might be staring at the same case. this go around.
So at least we know that Joe Burrow will be back hopefully sooner than later. And he didn't want to put it in the ground and put that stake in the ground and stand by it, but it appears that he he wants to be back out there on the field uh when the Ravens and the Bengals go at it. On Thanksgiving. And what a good day to return. Why wouldn't you want to come back?
On that day. Speaking of coming back, we got another guy. the quarterback.
Well, Brock Purdy, I guess he's going to be back Sooner than later, as well, for the 49ers. They just lost to the Rams yesterday, got smoked. forty two to twenty six. This is what I expected. From the 49ers.
not all season long, but with no brackburdy, Man, you got Matthew Stafford out there throwing four touchdowns, playing like an MVP. And Mac Jones, three touchdowns, one interception. But it appears that it doesn't matter what happens, They're gonna tell Mac Jones, Hey bruh, Brock Purdy is back. Go ahead and take a seat. And I think they got about fifty plus million reasons why.
Brock Purdy is going to be the starter. We'll hear from Kyle Shanahan, the head coach of the 49ers on the other side. What the heck is going on with Brock Purdy? Is he coming back? And speaking of the NFC, We've got a big Monday night football matchup between the Eagles and Packers.
They're going to get underway in a little bit more than an hour. We got so much more to do. It's the JR Sport Re Show here with you coast to coast for the Infinity Sports Network. Listen up, football fans. You won't want to miss this.
