Not only did he just give up a two-run bomb to Guerrero Jr., now he's over here striking out himself. Yeah, I mean, we had Schneider saying, oh, we're not going to pitch to him. We're not going to pitch to him. We're going to walk him every time. And you just knew that was a load of crap.
As Shohei Otani strikes out here, it's just wild to me. We've never seen a guy. going out here throwing 99 miles per hour. striking dudes out. giving up home runs And then he has a chance right out the gate to kind of get some get back.
Bacha, could you imagine if he had a home run to answer back Guerrero?
Well, I wouldn't be surprised. It's just How rapidly he does it. That's the impressive part where it's like Okay, we've seen pitchers bat in the past past. But nobody could do this. where it's like, Okay, I'm gonna get a four hundred and 55-foot home run right after giving up one of my own.
So that's the impressive part. Yeah, they just well, I think last inning they did one of these quick profiles just to see how fast he switches over. uh from coming off the mound to puttin' his gear on to hit, And everything is Right there for him. You know, he's just taking swigs of his Gatorade or whatever hell he drinks. You know, he's drinking some fancy juice that.
That's probably not even uh available to the public. Bacha, what's what's that blue juice he's drinking? It ain't Gatorade, right? Uh Gatorade, Power Raid, uh some type of fuel or oil to make him run. Yeah, there's some uh shohe shohei juice not available.
Are for public consumption. And so, Shohei, I want to say this is crazy. Oh, Shohei's not having the. the greatest of knights. Uh when it comes to being at the plate, He's old for one with a walk and a strike out.
And then Shohei on the mound. He's pitched three innings, has one strikeout. And gave up that two-run bomb to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
So he got to walk in the strikeout. He hasn't hit a bomb. We know he's liable to do that anytime that he's at the plate. And pretty funny with that strike out there, Shane Bieber telling him to go ahead and sit down, A John Schneider. the manager of the Blue Jays, he was asked about walking Otani.
who was walked five times yesterday. John Schneider told the fib, he said, Yeah, we're gonna walk him every single damn time. You know, he had a great game, he's a great player, but I think, um, you know, after that, You just kind of take the bat out of his hands. And not to give away secrets, but that's pretty much what we should expect going forward. Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I guess you do take the bat out of his hands if you tell him to sit down on the bench. And Shaw Hiltani just struck out. Freddie Freeman is on base with two outs.
So we'll keep you up to date. On this World Series game as it continues on. Obviously, I don't expect no six hours and 39 minutes of what we got last night. Uh but this is this has been a Good World series.
So far. Botcha, right? I mean, it's been a good one. Any game that has An offensive explosion, the first one. A complete game.
And the next and then an eighteen inning game. That's already on pace to be one of the best World Series. Yeah, we're getting variety here.
Now we got Will Smith at the plate. And I can't believe this guy. He had to catch all eight team innings yesterday. You want to talk about if anybody's tired? This guy is back at it catching Short Hill Tanya.
They're like, listen, man, it's the end of the season. You're going to have a long ass rest over the entire winter. You know, just go out here right now and thug it out. It's wholly unnecessary for we to for us to sit you.
Now go out there And and get the job done, man. botching his knees, are his knees killing him today? Yeah, it's all ice, icy hot, Advil. Everything. He's on all of it.
Now, when you played baseball, what position did you play? I I started when I was young as a catcher. And then I was like, I really don't like this because my knees were slowly and slowly disintegrating so that I move to second and then right field.
So, you mean I've always wondered that. I'm like, how these guys are back here? Is squatting. I mean, is there a special way to squat where you don't kill your knees or your knees are cooked, period?
Well, most of the time now. They don't actually fully squat. They do. Two like basically knees on the floor. and they they jump from there.
So that saves a little bit of the pressure, but Their gear should have protective stuff on it, padding. Yeah, cushion. Yeah. It should, but most of the time it doesn't help it 100%.
So it's just. A lot of uh rehab and P T and band work to keep your knees loose. Brahm. I don't know how some of these guys do it. Yeah.
That's one thing I ain't trying to do. Sit down there and squat.
Now you got to deal with foul tips, and I just. And forget foul, yeah. Foul tips, the ball is hitting you. The baseball, well, the baseball is hitting you, of course. Then you getting hit with the bat.
I just, I don't know.
So you started off at catching and went where? Second base, I thought that was the easiest. That was way too short to play first, and then right field. just happened to be 'cause I just could read a flyball better than the other kids on the team.
Okay, not too bad. Not too bad. I'm just looking at Will Smith, going, damn, he pitched. He caught 18 innings yesterday. Butch, who does he pitched, he caught two games?
Yes. And that me that's not even counting the throws back.
So how many pitches did the Blue Jay see? he would have to throw the ball back each time.
So that his arm has to be sore too. I mean, for everybody that that put in work yesterday, he has to be I'm not going to say he's a. most tired out of everybody. And and speaking of this, This guy's not tired. He got a whole off season of work.
Y is that is that was Skeens? He's selling Kane's chicken? Yeah. He's if he's not gonna get paid by the pirates, he's might as well, you know. Find other ways to make money.

I just saw uh Brandon Ingram hanging out with with Glory, his girlfriend. And I'm just like, Okay, all right, great, they they're kissing in public. You know, Bacha, I saw them last week. in the bowels of State Farm Arena. they were to themselves and they were standing next to a sheriff.
And I don't care what nobody's doing. I just found it interesting. I'm like, is Brandon Ingram kissing Glorylla? Glorilla was on the internet a couple years ago. saying she had a crush on Damian Lillard.
I just, is it open season? We got Clay Thompson and Meg the Stallion. I don't know.
A Anything can happen in the NBA. That's the great the greatest sport. NBA, drama.
Okay. Well, Justin Herbert is with some beautiful women now, too, right? Yeah, Madison Beard. That that that was true. They didn't they met at a chess competition.

I can't believe he just turned twenty nine years old, but but here he is staring at the face of thirty. And last night, well, the Celtics got their first win against the Pelicans. But Jalen Brown had to exit the game. with a hamstring issue. And but today He went on social media.
It has nothing to do with his hamstring. Jalen Brown kinda teased the live stream. Of him getting a haircut.
Now, why is this anything, any type of relevant?
Well, it was just last week, last Friday. The New York Knicks were taking on Jalen Brown, in the Celtics. Jalen Brown was on offense. He went to go to the basket. He was being defended by OG Ananobi.
In Jalen Brown's head rubbed up against OG Ananobi's white New York Knicks jersey. and it left a black mark on OG's chest, which made everybody go, Wait a minute. Has Jalen Brown got the dye in his hair? Does Jalen Brown have like Beijing in this hair. If you're not familiar with Beijing, it's It's what folks put in their hair to give em a nice hairline to cover up some hair loss.
And he just basically let a whole lot of turtle wax Onto the dude's head.
Well, all came off his head, so kind of embarrassing. I don't know why you'd have that in your hair during an NBA game. Uh But he did. And so the jokes have been absolutely Hilarious. And Jill and Brown used to have a flat top.
And then he moved to the Braids. And then he brought his hair down to, you know, um a fade or whatever it might be. And now I guess his hair was thinning enough, he said, Let me put some product in it. And so today, an hour ago, he did an entire live stream. where he made jokes about his hair loss, And then he cut all his hair off.
And Jalen Brown, he blames just one city. For all of this, it's the city that he plays for. Listen. I blame Boston. You had the civil rights afro for a minute.
I'm playing boss. 10 years of stress joint. 10 years of stress. The media, the f the championship. God caused this.
Oh, okay. Botcha natural, right? He's dealing with high stress environments in Boston. They called him the gold ball. Yeah, but if if I made wh how much money he's making, I don't think I'd be stressed about basketball.

Well, he's still a human being. At some point in time, the money becomes normal, right? That's true.
So the pressure could be. I think it's more of the uh pressure from the crowd each game rather than the entire season and just him being a player itself.
Well, it was what, a a season ago, before Tatum got his deal. There was a point last year where Jalen Brown, had the biggest contract in NBA history. Five years, two hundred and eighty five million. Dollars. Yeah.
Uh how stressed do you want to be? He says everybody in Boston stressed him out where he lost his hair and went bald. And you said how much money does it take to not be stressed?
Well, Jalen Brown decided to be a jokester. He said, I'm calling LeBron James and leaving a voicemail for him trying to get advice. Listen to this. Co-red. They caught me slipping.
I need to know turkey or no turkey. And I ain't talking about no cheese sandwich. This is some real s bro. Call your little bro back. We put all that in the past.
All right, Jalen Brown, not not much of a comedian. doing ball jokes about LeBron James. Yeah, well, we know LeBron went bald, and he did like the hair transplant thing. And I remember at one point in time with the Los Angeles Lakers. There's that famous video Bach, do you remember when Lebron was wearing the headband?
And Anthony Davis like some he got hit in the head and his hair moved or something like that, and Anthony Davis had to tell him your hair is out or something like that. Do you remember that? I remember it briefly. I think I don't know if LeBron had like temporary like Hair. put in, but like it it slid and something happened there.
Yeah, something slid. Anthony Davis had to tell him, Hey, ya, fix your hair, fix your hair. And I'm just like, what are we doing out here?
Now LeBron James is basically completely bald. His hair is as low as we we've ever seen it before outside of, I think, maybe a couple of times in Miami, where you still had hair. and our gellin' brown continued about turkey, where You can get a hair transplant for ridiculously cheap. You can book a flight. You can get new hair, And it'll cost you less than anything you do here in the States.
This is what Jalen Brown had to say about going to Turkey. I'm cutting this. Shifters is in a builder. That we ain't we ain't going to Turkey. No, turkey.

About an hour ago, so I don't know. Not my hair, I'm not not gonna worry about it. Just, um We'll find out sooner than later. We don't know if he's going to be on the basketball court. Uh but we'll see.
The jury is still out of whether or not he really went out and shaved his head. But certainly a lot of jokes about his His hairline. Oh my God. Even Matt Barnes is in on this. Yeah, Matt Barnes is saying that there is an issue in the NBA.

Okay, not me, I'm not an architect. They want to build. A 40,000 seat stadium. In a skyscraper at the top of it. Huh.
Why do I feel like we're on the road to interstellar? Is that what we're doing? Um. That sounds cool. No, bro.

And stuck a stadium at the top corner of it. That thing is about a thousand feet tall. And then at the top of it you you put a a stadium. I don't know.
I I I I gotta tell you, I I'm intrigued. I don't think it'll ever happen. I think it's impossible, and a good chance that it doesn't work. But if you're telling me it's there, Would I go check it out? I mean, I ain't going to Saudi Arabia.

Well, do you have to really break ground? I mean. You're up in the air.

To fit, I would say, like six buildings. But I think part of it juts out from the building. And I don't know, maybe it goes up instead of going out. I mean, if you. Yankee Stadium, I think, is what?
It's about 46, 47, right? The new one. Yeah, roughly. Yeah. Yeah, and it takes up a city block.
Yep. But it's not round, it's not perfectly round. The majority of the seats are on the line, and in the outfield, that home plate part is. kind of goes straight up. I guess if you make it perfectly round, It doesn't have to technically take up a a city block or kind of jut outward.
I'm still not. I think you might need the city block. I don't think that would be the sticking point. Like I said, I'm all for it. I also find it fascinating.
One, this is not going to happen. I just, I always struggle with technology, but like, it's almost like, you know, yeah, we'll get that to you in two weeks. No, you won't. That's not going to happen. But if they do build it, Think about what they do with it in 2035.
Because you're talking about a giant... Block. With 50,000 seats or whatever the hell it is, who's coming back? Oh, Saudi Arabia got to use it for something, right? What?

See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything and it was primitive and lousy and we liked it. On the JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. October 28th, 1973, Gail Goodrich. He had 49 points, and he also had seven-footer Elmore Smith.

Well, I keep getting emails and text messages from people saying, Victor will never break that record.

Man, let's see if Victor Wembanyama can block 20 shots in the game. All he needs is 18. I don't know, we'll see. October 28th, 1978, Bobby Orr scored his last NHL goal against the Red Wings. He was playing for the Blackhawks at the time.
Blackhawks, they lost the Red Wings 7-2, but Bobby Orr, it was his final goal. Listen to the man talk about it being done. This is news coverage of him calling it quits. It was Bobby Orr's first goal since January 1977 and but for one, the last for the man whom most judged to be the best hockey player ever. There were some hours, even days, of elation.
Maybe this latest comeback would work. But it was not to be. The knee, which had felt the surgeon's knife six times, finally said no more, and today Bobby Orr retired. Um Very, very happy that I Did I attempt it to play again? I now know for sure that My leg.
Cannot handle playing. I'm disappointed. But I am relieved. I would not want to through the rest of my life thinking, well, maybe there was that chance. And I don't know.
I'm no longer able to play.
Now, well, you know, he's one of the greats of body. Father Time catches up to us all. October 28th, 1993, Ron Francis, he became the 38th NHL player to score 1,000 points. He had a goal. And the Penguins lost.
So come back. Unfortunately for him, well... They lost, but Ron Francis, take a listen to him going into the Penguins hall of Frank. I still think today the best team I played on was 1993 and we didn't win.
So to be honored with some of those players and it brings back all the memories of all those great players.
So it's really special for me to go into this Hall of Fame. October 28th, 1997, the NBA They hired the first woman to officiate a major league male sport. It was decanter. And Violet Palmer. I remember this in 1997.
Listen to Violet Palmer being inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. What a big deal. You know what, Veronica, this is surreal. It's extremely humbling. You know, it's a little different for a referee, which, you know, players and coaches.
They're kind of used to this. But for referees, we're so used to being the the negative part of of our game because obviously you can only be 50 right 50 wrong when you're 100 right so to receive all of this i'm i'm soaking it in i'm i'm just like Wow.
So I'm extremely humbled, I'm extremely honored. To be with the class of women that I'm being inducted with, it's just incredible. Yeah, listen, Violet Palmer, she ain't take no crap. I remember that. October 28th, 2016, Russell Westbrook, he did something amazing: 51 points.
A 51-point triple-double. Oklahoma City Thunder, they beat the Phoenix Suns in overtime 113 to 110. It's the first 50-point triple-double since Kareem did it. In 1975, Russbrook had 51 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists. Listen to Westbrook's go-ahead, layup in overtime.

If we have to think about the here and now, the Toronto Blue Jays, they lead the Dodgers 2-1 here in the bottom of the sixth, but the Dodgers are threatening.
Okay, there's one out, the Dodgers have two guys on base. A runner on first, a runner on second. They just took Shane Bieber out of the game. And so, well, let's see. Who's that?
Was that Flaherty out there, Bach? Who's that? I did not see. I am staring at a Volkswagen.
Okay. Yeah, I think uh Bieber might be done. Yeah, yeah, Bieber Bieber's done. And so we'll see what happens. The Dodgers are threatening here, trying to tie the game up, and maybe even.
