One of them is not his fault. Marshawn Lattimore picked him off legitimately on one pass. And then Travis Kelsey gave up a pass off of his damn hands They kinda tipped up to the defender. And so Patrick Mahomes with two interceptions so far tonight Washington, without Jaden Daniels, has a Marcus Mariota out there. A Debull Samuel pretty much doing the same thing.
He caught a ball off the face mask. went up into the air and it was intercepted.
So Uh Quite a sloppy game here. I think a lot of people, including myself, were expecting the Kansas City Chiefs to just run right the hell through Washington. Washington's defense has been pathetic. And then you have no Jaden Daniels, and that touchdown is wiped off of the board. as they say, Rashi Rice did not.
Get into the end zone that he was down already.
So we'll see if the Kansas City Chiefs can go ahead and punch this one in. Andy Reid. Let's hear what he had to say before we even got to the game. Andy Reid is like, yeah, Washington. I know what their record is, three and four, but they're a good team.
We know they're a good football team. Veteran group of players that are good football players. And uh they've got a head coach that I Consider right at the top of of His profession at this time is as good as anybody. Yeah, no doubt about that one. The Kansas City Chiefs, this touchdown.
is is going to count. A Kareem Hunt punches it in. One yard out. Kansas City leads six. To nothing.
I told you about the Dodgers. Max Scherzer is here on the mound, has given up two home runs. Dodgers already with a 2-0 lead. Tiasco Hernandez. A hitting a home run into left.
Shohei Otani hitting a bomb into right. And this is what we can expect. Max Scherzer before the game. He was talking about how going into game three, he just needs to be on it. It's an ultimate chess game.
They're making moves, I'm making moves. That's just baseball, but it's been like that. For years, from like me for now, I understand how everybody wants to attack me, how I want to attack them. And at the end of the day, it's who you got to go out there and compete, and you got their strikes. Yeah, he well, he he threw some strikes that got deposited into the uh The stand.
So let's see what Max Scherzer has. He's already up to about 60 pitches here. in the third inning. I mean, if he can exit the game, giving up two runs and I'd say about, I don't know. Botch, you get five innings?
That that that's a success, right? Yeah, anything less than three or four runs over five is I'd say it's pretty good for the Blue Jays who have a good offense. Yeah, the last time we saw Max Scherzer in the World Series was for Texas. And surprise, surprise, he had to exit that game due to a back issue. It's just.
He's old. What the hell do you want from him? He's old and he he's still got something out there. He's not the nine innings. Let me strike out 15 guys.
A dude anymore, but Max Scherzer, you can still certainly trust him if he's healthy. In any game. The Dodgers are back at home. They tied this series 1-1 when they were up in Toronto. and someone who is happy to be back at home.
Nobody else other than Dave. Roberts, listen to what he had to say. about competing on its own field. I do think that coming home I feel that You know, we're back into a little bit of a rhythm offensively that it should show itself here these next three games.

I was out there for like two weeks. and I am coming home. I am tired. You know, I've been out in the sun. I need a haircut.
I need a shave. I'm limping around. You know, it's been two damn weeks. I was emceeing a soccer tournament in India. And so now I'm I'm at the airport.
I'm just trying to go through security. Batcha, my knee went off. I don't got no metal parts, I'm not RoboCop. My knee went off because my knee was like inflamed. Like it was irritated.
It set off the detector. Right? And so I go through the detector and they're wandering me around. And this is not America. They made me stand on a box to wind to kind of wand me down.
And so he's going over my knee and I'm just standing on the box. A, my knee already hurts. And now I'm standing on a box and the guy is is wanding my my knee down. And he's just like, what's the problem here? And I go, what do you mean?
Like, what do you. I'm like, my knee is inflamed. What do you want from me? And they basically interrogated me just for a couple minutes there, and I had to explain that. Brother, there's nothing in my knee.
It's just it's it's hurting. And I'm saying to myself, Why y'all botherin' me? Like, don't you want me to leave your country right now? Don't you just want to just put me on a plane and me get the hell out of here? Why are y'all giving me so much crap and I'm trying to leave?
It's not like I was coming in trying to smuggle something, I'm trying to leave with a bad knee. Yeah, I don't know how that even works because Nothing was metal. to be detected in the first place.
So at the same time How did that even pop up first of all? And then, two, if they're wanding in, there's nothing there.
So they're just interrogating you for no reason. past the point of there was a a misdetection in your system. Brad. I'm trying to leave y'all country.
Okay, I love India. I really do. I love India. But I'm trying to leave. Like if I was coming into the country.
And I'm setting off all types of alarms, and I'm coming in. Yes, send me, man, interrogate me. Say, go to hell back to America. Go ahead, do that. But not what I'm trying to leave.

Now, talking about Marcus Mariota, let's listen to Patrick Mahomes. He says Marcus Mariota. He says he can still go out there and play. And I know Marcus can play too. I mean, I've seen it firsthand at Arrowhead in the playoffs, and I've seen him play throughout my entire career and have a lot of successful games, including this year.
And so we understand it's still going to be a great challenge going up against a great football team and a guy that's had a lot of success in the NFL. Wow, Marcus Mariota could still yeah, as a backup. There's a reason why he ain't out there all the time. And speaking of people that can play, Lamar Jackson, been out since week four with that hamstring issue. Looks like he'll be back and healthy.
For the Ravens against the Dolphins this upcoming Thursday. John Harbaugh, I don't know if he wanted to talk about it. The answer is probably not. He discussed Lamar Jackson's availability for Thursday.
Sounds like he's good to go. Listen. I feel very confident. I feel very confident about it. You know, we'd expect them to be out there Thursday night.
Good. Yet John Harbaugh has sounded just so miserable over the past Of several weeks. You would think that he got. Like a Todd Bowles shot or something like that. Todd Bowles is one of the most miserable sounding people ever.
And I guess all this Lamar Jackson drama and injury And the injuries to the team, and I guess just their poor record has just sucked the life. out of John Harbaugh. After the New York Jets had a comeback victory. Yesterday, Justin Fields comes out and has a, well, his best game is a Jet against the Bengals. He still has not been named. The number One Hugh B. Aaron Glenn talking to the media.
Tyrod Taylor with a bad knee, a bad wheel. Aaron Glenn still is not giving any answers. Listen to this. This is about week, and we're going to focus on us. And um Listen, I have time to make that decision.

Botcha, did I miss a piss-poor team? It's just the uh. The Jets and the Browns, right? Anybody else got these issues? Uh with quarterbacks and just everything being bad.
Well, I mean, I gotta pick and choose who my QB is. Just them two, right? You could argue the Browns a little bit in there. Yeah, that's what I the bro Who did I say? The Browns?
I heard Bengals. I don't know. I'm going a little insane. Oh, no.

He's like, man, we went outside the tailgate.
Okay, it was cold outside, Bacha. People would rather go outside and tailgate and eat than sit inside and watch that crap football the Falcons were playing yesterday. There's probably better entertainment in the parking lot. You could get a pickup game probably that's more entertaining and close than the Falcons game was. You could find a a tailgate, you said?
Yeah, you can find like 15 people and place, I don't know, 16 people play eight on eight. In the parking lot. And it'll probably be better than the NFL product. I'm not disagreeing there. I had a couple of friends who didn't even go to the game.
But they went to the stadium just to tailgate and I'm like, what? And I said, What did y'all do? They go, We were just walking around. I'm like, What? Like what's the purp like botch I've been to plenty of tailgates in my life and in every capacity I have worked Okay?
So, people are giving me free food, or I'm interviewing people, and I'm working, right? I've never gone to a tailgate. Do I got to pay for plates? Like, how does that work?
So, like, are you hosting the tailgate or are you just attending one? No, my friends just went to a tailgate and I said, What did y'all do? They said we just walked around, and it was a great time. And I was like, huh? Like, what?
Like, are you walking around picking up plates from different people? Like, how does that work?
So I know people who have done this.
So they usually bring a grill, they bring all the food and everything they need. But they also bring like a T V. And radio, depending on what you're doing. I know what a tailgate is.
Well, I know, I'm just saying. If you ain't setting up, how do you just walk around a tailgate and have fun? Were you just pilfering? You gotta be like stealing from people. You just gotta find the most drunk group.
and be friendly. Freeload. Yes. Okay. That's probably the easiest way.
Wow. I don't got patience for that. Or you could look through the scraps. What? I don't know.
Like, I don't know if people are like, Hey, I'm gonna get rid of this. Do you want this? And you're like on the side and you're like, Yeah, I'll take that and then before they throw it out. That is super free.
So, how come I don't see homeless people tailgating? I mean, I don't see no homeless people just walking around looking for food. Wouldn't that be the ideal place? Yeah, but there's like a lot of security there and there's cops and you know In the the by football stadiums, definitely. Come on, man.
Here in Atlanta, there's no like one formal.
Well, there's Mercedes-Benz lot for the stadium. But the place is surrounded by a million public private lots. There's no security there. Unless you hire in security, ain't no security, there's a parking lot. Yeah.
So I'm surprised. That's a good spot to maybe, you know Uh Uh get free food? Yeah, I I see. Yeah, maybe my friends know better than me. I'm like, y'all are going to a tailgate?
Yeah, they're like, you're going to the game? No, we're just going to go to the tailgate. I said, okay, all right. Like not me I'll sit around and watch the Falcons lose on television. I don't need to walk around, be cold and freezing, trying to get free food.

Now, always been a bugaboo for Glass now. Those home runs that kind of pop up. It was a three-run bomb. And Toronto just put another run up on the board.
So Toronto leads the Dodgers 4-2. It's the top of the fourth with two outs. And uh Yeah, Tyler Glass now is trying to get out of this one. Abanda is up in a bullpen warming up. I don't know how good that is.

who got himself in some trouble again. His name Adrian. Peterson. He has spent the past several years. I mean, we can go back a decade.
He was suspended for that child abuse situation when he was in the NFL, hitting his kid with a belt, a tree branch. There was a domestic violence arrest a couple of seasons ago, a couple of years ago. He's had multiple DUI charges. He had one earlier this year in Minneapolis following. of the NFL draft.
He was at the Vikings draft party. and I guess he had a little too much to drink. and he got popped for a D UI. And so what's next for Adrian Peterson?
Well, uh Take a listen to this from CBS 19 News down in Texas. Developing news we're following this morning. Former NFL star and East Texas native Adrian Peterson is under arrest again, this time in Sugarland, just southwest of Houston. Police say the ex-Minnesota Vikings running back was taken into custody on Sunday morning, accused of driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Peterson will appear in court later on today.
Authorities say this case is still under investigation. Earlier this year, Peterson was arrested in Minnesota for driving 83 and a 55 with a blood alcohol level of 0.14. Bruh Right. All of this is preventable. You know, like the like, do you want to go to jail?
And I think as of this afternoon, I don't know what the update is on him now. But he was still in jail this afternoon. I'm like, this is all preventable, man. What you doing? Yes, it's very simple.
Don't drink and drive. It's very very simple. Just take an Uber. Take a lift. Ask a friend.
Ask a significant other. Can you please drive me? And it's just it seems to be a common occurrence now. Yeah, it sucks, man. I oof And thank God he hasn't hurt anybody.
Thank God he hasn't hurt himself yet. And I know when you're an active player, there are so many resources available to the active guys. when it comes down to to getting home. Like, I think the NFL players actually have, I don't want to say an allowance, but I think they do have an allowance of. Hey, I'm out.
I need to get home. And I don't know if that's covered via the league or the union, but they certainly have that. I don't know if that extends into. to retirement.
Now this I also know. It's been well documented that Adrian Peterson, he's also been dealing with some financial issues. And so, I'm not going to say the guy can't afford an Uber. I mean, you can afford to put gas in the car. I guess you can afford.
Uh in Uber. It's not good. Adrian Peterson, I think, is eligible for the Hall of Fame in, I think, 2027. And I'm not saying that he's kind of pushing himself out of the way or pushing himself out of the hall of fame. He's like fifth all time in rushing.
He won that MVP coming off of that ACL tear. In 2012, He's a freak, he's a beast, he's one of the NFL's great running backs. Um I I just don't know. Maybe they'll They'll delay him. On the way in.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has more legal issues. You just. You can't put a guy in a Hall of Fame and he's, I don't know, serving time behind bars. I don't know. That's kind of nuts.
Bach, you think he's still going to go in, right? He's got to. Just based off of his playing career and his accolades, he is arguably. top five running back of all time.
So He has to get in. Will they make him wait? Most likely, just because Like you said, there's there's the off the field issues. Here's, I told you these off-the-field issues keep coming through, okay? In 2012, I know that's a long time ago, resisting arrest outside of a Houston nightclub.
2024 last year played no contest to misdemeanor assault. After allegedly slapping a woman in Texas, he had to pay a $500 fine. A child support warrants dating back to last year. Two arrest warrants were issued. failing to appear in court regarding child support cases.
Debt issues. A Houston judge ordered Peterson to turn over assets. To help pay more than $12 million in debt. He has two DWIs this year. And so this guy is unraveling.
He has been unraveling. It seems like one thing is turning into the next. He ain't got no money. He can't pay child support. He's drinking.
He's driving. Uh he has the perfect combination of uh of problems here. I I could see if these things start to mount up. that Yeah, he'll get into the Hall of Fame. Is he gonna have to be elderly when he gets in?
Ah, possibly, but You can't go in the Hall of Fame with all these. But Letty, you think they're just going to let him walk in and? 2027 with these issues, like live and in his face. These issues, as long as he's not. In prison or facing court?
Probably if he's in jail or has some sort of something hanging over his head where there's still a court date uh coming up, then no. And it's as stupid as that because of the simple fact that he is he's unquestionable a Hall of Famer. Like we all know that. There's no doubt.
So as long as he's not actually in jail or something is not looming, I think they'll brush all this away. And just kind of be like one of those things where, hey, Hall of Famers have had issues, have had problems. I mean, geez. You know, Lawrence Taylor has had more issues than I think a lot of people have had. Yeah, but he wasn't.
He wasn't in jail at the time, basically, is what it is, JR. That sucks, but it's the truth. Yeah, but I can't remember any, and I'm sure there was, but I can't remember a guy. Who was dealing with like legal uh uh looming legal issues. While he's being inducted into the Hall of Fame, right?
But that's what I'm saying.
So by the time this, whatever this is, this will be. Done. Whatever way it is. The way he's going, he's picking up like one or two, three things a year. And that's my point.
So if there's more and it's still mounting and it's still looming and it's still over his head, then yes, it'll cost him for however long it costs him. And the idea of he's got to get past it. If he's able to keep himself somewhat clean for whatever, how long a period it is, a year? I mean, like, it's not that long to be able to get from induction, you know, from getting eligible to induction and actually having the ceremony. Then you can do whatever the hell you want.
That it's sad, but that's that's basically what it comes down to. Yeah, listen, good luck to him. You know, we've had him here on the show. I like him, I've met him a few times. I like him.
I don't know him from a hole in the wall, but I. I've had positive interactions with him, but I don't know the guy personally, and what we do know about his personal life is not all that good.
So I wish Adrian Peterson nothing but the best. I'm hoping that him and his family, whatever the hell that guy needs, he gets it because uh I don't know how many DUIs you need before you hurt yourself or others, and that is not a game. There's certain people who have some of these accidents, and you do not come back from them. All the best to him and whatever the hell is going on. It is October 27th, 2025. If we go back to October 27th, 2002. Emmett Smith. He broke the NFL career rushing mark. Over Walter Payton.
Okay, he had 109 yards and a touchdown. Dallas beat the Seahawks 17-14. And at that point, he finished the game with 17 more yards than the late, great Walter Payton. Listen to Emmett Smith talk about breaking that record. He sat down with the Pivot Podcast.
That day going into the stadium, I knew in my heart it had to happen right then and there because we was going to be on the road two weeks in a row after that point on. And I didn't want to break it. On the road, and not be celebrated the way it needed to be celebrated.
So that day I was like, Oh my gosh, I was like in a zone. And I'm in it. in it to win it. Undeniable. Didn't matter who was in front of me.
I was going to run my ass off to get there. And I gave it everything I had. And my teammates was excellent. Even when I broke the record, I didn't know what to do. I was like, how do you celebrate this?
Because I've never seen it happen before in the middle of a game. Yeah, listen Emmett Smith is a cool dude. We've had him here on the show multiple times Emmett is a is a cool cat as well. Speaking of running backs, we talked about Adrian Peterson. Emmett ain't had no problems, okay?
October 27th, 2004. How about this? The Boston Red Sox. They won their first championship since 1918. They went out there and swept the Cardinals.

Can you believe it? The Red Sox now mobbing Chief Folk and one another between home and first. And as Ned Martin said back in 1967, pandemonium on the field. Bro, that was 21 years ago. Oh my god.

Okay, we have the St. Louis Cardinals. David Fries, I remember this because he won MVP in this series. He had a game tying two-run triple with two outs in the ninth. And then he hit a walk-off home run in the 11th.

It has gone. Yeah, the Cards were taken on the Rangers in that World Series. That home run by David Freese, it forced a game seven. Of which the Cardinals went out there and won.
Okay, that was in 2011. October 27th. 2013. This guy's still balling. He's still playing.
Matthew Stafford. He had a one yard lunge. He jumped over a bunch of lime, and there was 12 seconds left. I'm Calvin Johnson. 329 yards receiving.
You heard me correctly. 329 yards receiving. As the Lions, yeah, they won a football game. Over the Cowboys, 31 to 30. Matthew Stafford.
He threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Johnson. Who had the second most yards receiving in NFL history? And that set up the winning score. And listen to Matthew Stafford fake the spike for the lead. 40 yards and here is Stafford's pass and Calvin Johnson stopped at the one yard line.
The Detroit Lions, no timeouts left, time is running. They're at the one and Stafford says come on in. Reaches over. Touchdown! Yeah, all of this, and the poor guy, well, not Matthew Stafford, he's still out here trying to win another championship.
All of this, we got Calvin Johnson already in the Hall of Fame, and the guy wanted to retire. What a world. They're playing for the Lions to do that for you. Not now. Huh?
October 27th. 2015, Alex Gordon. Kansas City, not the Chiefs, but the Royals, you get a game-tying home run. One out in the ninth inning. Eric Hasmer hit a sacrifice fly against big sexy Bartolo Colon.
That took place in the 14th. And the Kansas City Royals beat the Mets 5-4 in the longest opener in World Series history. Listen to Alex Gorton. Talk about his home run to tie the game. You know that bat before with Salvi, I saw him quick pitch, so You know, I wasn't expecting that and I wanted to make sure when I got in the box I was ready to hit and you know he tried to quick pitch me and just Left the ball right there to hit, and with a guy like that, you can't miss pitches that he gives you to hit, and you know, that's what happened.
Hey, you can't miss? I bet, well. New York Mets ended up uh They lost. Let's put it that way. Butcher, that was a disappointing year, right?
It was like, oh my God, the Mets are actually going to do it. And then. No, it didn't happen. It didn't work. It went from Murftober being the greatest thing.
on the baseball field ever. to him slowly and slowly returning back to uh normal form and making defensive errors. Yeah, I mean, what do you hit, like six six games? Six straight home runs, right? Six straight games.
Yeah, six games in a row with a homer, including. Game was it game three or game five against the Dodgers and then every game against the Cubs. Yeah, he was stretching from the divisional round to the NLCS. He was rolling. And that game won.
Between the Royals and the Mets, that game took five hours and nine minutes. DT, I'm doing too much.
Okay. Anyway.
Those are a few things that took place this day in sports. History. Right now, I don't know if we got history being made. Toronto Blue Jays still lead the Dodgers. four to two.
As they get ready to move into the bottom of the fifth, Of the Dodgers are going to try to. Step up to the plate and put some runs up on the board.
Meanwhile, in Kansas City, Washington and the Chiefs are currently tied at uh seven apiece. Travis Kelsey just uh hauled in a reception. Yeah, I don't even know how long that was. Looked to be about 40-something yards. as uh Kansas City is now threatening.
Are right inside of the 10.
So let's see if Kansas City can get some points up on the board, whether it be three or six. I will see. a sooner than later. And so, yeah, this is Sports Equinox. And we've also had some bad news.
Looks like Pat Sertan has a A chest issue.
So he's going to be missing some time for the Denver Broncos and that amazing defense. Uh that they have And then we also see Carson Wentz. His season is over. We saw him wincing in pain. last week, well, apparently he's gonna undergo season ending surgery.
To fix a left shoulder issue. We saw him wincing, yelling, screaming. He was in obvious pain. JJ McCarthy expected back. A very, very soon.
The Minnesota Vikings in next game is going to be Sunday.
Well, actually, this is going to be their bi. Yeah, so actually, this Sunday. against the uh the Lions.
So let's see if JJ McCarthy can stay healthy. Because uh this team Is certainly running out of bodies. Max Brosmer would be the backup quarterback. If JJ McCarthy goes down again, and I don't know how much confidence you know, anybody would want to have in that one. Barely have cost confidence and or Carson Wentz, anyway.
