I exist. I am everywhere. I am at JR Sport Brief. That's at JR Sport Brief. everywhere I'm still trying to figure out how and Why all of a sudden on all days?

Today just ended up being Indiana Day But it is, it is all things Indiana. Botchard, let's see.

Well, what we got, we got the Colts, we got the Pacers, we got the Fever. Ain't no hockey team out there. Uh And no baseball team out there.

Well, yeah, we got the Guardians. What am I talking about? No, that's in Cleveland. Look at me. What am I talking about?

College? Does it Indiana the Hoosiers do anything? The Hoosiers? No, I don't know. I don't think the Hoosiers did anything.

and get ready for their football season. Ah No. No. Nothing. Just lightning struck and here we are.

Center of the sports universe. I guess the biggest story out of Indianapolis came from old miserable head coach, the old miserable, young miserable head coach. of the Indianapolis Colts. His name is Shane Steichen. Today He said that Daniel Jones, the guy that we're giving $14 million to, we just signed him to a one-year, $14 million contract.

He's going to be our starter. not Anthony Richardson. Yeah, the guy that we just drafted two years ago at number four overall. Yeah, we told him take a seat. You're not good enough.

This is what Shane Steichen had to say about how Daniel Jones beat out Anthony Richardson. I thought the competition in training camp was great by both of those guys. I thought they both competed really hard, and it was good to see them cheering for each other and battling the way they did. And you guys heard me talk about the consistency, and that's really what I was looking for. And really, the operation at the line of scrimmage, the checks, the protection.

The ball placement, the completion percentage, I think all that played a factor in it. Oh, okay, yeah. They just gave this guy they well, they already said they screwed up. Chris Ballard, the general manager, said he screwed up when he drafted him by throwing him right out there. Gardner Minshew should have got the start, and then they should have eased their way into Anthony Richardson.

They didn't do that. They threw him to the Wolves, and he threw himself to the defense. Shoulder first, head first. He screwed up. Not his fault.

Didn't play a lot of college ball. Coming out of Florida. Anthony Richardson was asked today about I don't wanna say being benched, but Bein' sold that It ain't his team to run right now. He says that he actually. He respects what took place.

You just gotta respect the decision. They feel like he's a benefit for the team, better fit for the outcome of us winning.

So you just gotta respect it and just keep working. That doesn't undermine any other work I've been putting in. It doesn't say that I haven't improved. I'm proud of the improvement I've made. Saying he's also proud of that.

So you just gotta keep stacking on that. Just keep getting better.

Okay. Uh I'll tell you this much. Head coach Shane Steichen, he said that he has improved, but he needs to improve some more.

Okay, all right. Really the operation at the line of scrimmage, the checks, the protection, the ball placement, the completion percentage, I think all that played a factor in it. I think Daniel did a great job doing that and I think AR has made strides in that area, but I do feel that he still needs to continue to develop in those areas. Yeah, he basically said his quarterback sucks. Man, I would have st and this we discussed this earlier.

Thank you so much as well. To Dustin Adams for joining us. He's a Colts beat writer. It's like everybody's on thin ice. Chris Balor, the general manager, is on thin ice with the Indianapolis Colts.

You take a look at Shane Steinkin. He looks like he is not getting any sleep. He looks like somebody who knows he's about to get fired tomorrow. Of course they'll wait until January to do it. This is this is probably not gonna end good.

If you have to tether your hopes. On Daniel Jones. Good luck. We already saw how that ended up for the New York Giants, and it didn't end up good. Good luck.

This just doesn't feel good. And then you get a message out. from the gent well, not the GM, from Anthony Richardson's agent, who pretty much said You know, right now they they're they're trying to think about whether or not to trust The Indianapolis Cults. Yeah, make my day. Make my day personally.

Ask for a trade. I'd love it. Make the situation even worse. Give me some drama I mean, we can't take a look at the Cleveland Browns every day, right? We cannot.

Good luck to the Colts. It I don't think it's gonna end up well for them, okay? Not at all. Uh speaking of of Indiana, I told you so many more things happen. Indiana all over the place.

Rick Carlisle getting a contract extension. Helps take his team. to the NBA Finals along with Tyrese Halliburton, don't expect that this year. That is not gonna happen. Not at all.

Oh, and also, the state of Bacha, how could we forget this? Not. Indianapolis. But we got Notre Dame. They got a new quarterback.

How could we forget that? I didn't even think about them. Did you think about that? I am very bad with geography. Oh.

You you you knew that Notre Dame's in Indiana, right? Knew that? No. Oh, okay. Um, where did you think Notre Dame was?

They're very Irish, so I was thinking n northeast. You thought Notre Dame was in Boston or something like that? Like around Massachusetts, around there. Oh, damn. Yeah.

But now I know. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Okay. All right. Yeah, I've been out there, Bacher. It's uh let's just say it can get cold out there. Notre Dame.

Oh, no, Boxer, let me tell you something. Their campus, to the shock of nobody, their sports journalism department. Bacha, they got one of the best radio stations. of anybody in the country.

Well, I'm not surprised. They probably have to run the games out of there, and that's that's that in itself is probably. A six-figure deal, seven-figure deal. Botcha. Their entire media center and building is amazing.

It's great. Let me tell you something. Botcha, I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I say this. They have some of the best radio facilities that I've ever been to. including any of ours across the country, okay?

Yeah, that's true. A lot of stuff here breaks sometimes. Oh, okay. All right. Other than that, it's very nice.

Like, we're updating. Yeah, update.

Well, Notre Dame has been updated. That's a very nice Bacha, I walked in the studio. I broadcast my show out of Notre Dame studio a couple years ago. I walk in the studio. They got my face on the inside, welcome J.R.

Jackson. They got another screen on the outside to welcome me in. They left me a gift basket with a whole bunch of nice stuff. I'm like, this is nice. Botchu.

When I come to work here, you know what I get? Uh it depends. Nothing. I just I get a check. I'll take it.

I'll take the check. Thank you. And pay my bills. But anyway, Notre Dame also in Indiana. How about them?

naming a starting quarterback. Seday. CJ Carr. Wins the job. Over a kenny.

Minchy. Of course, Notre Dame is looking for a new QB after Raleigh Leonard. ends up in the NFL is now a member of the Indianapolis Colts. And so CJ Carr Who's every member of his damn bloodline coached at Michigan, won championships at Michigan, born at Michigan? He said, I've had enough of this Michigan stuff.

I'm going to note.

Okay, so he'll be out there. With Marcus Freeman. And we also told you about Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever. She tore her MCL. She'll be out for the season.

And then I guess the final story from today involving Indiana, big one. You had Andrew Luck. Admitting to the athletic. that he has some regret for how he retired, back in twenty nineteen Even though he was bleeding well, he He was using a bathroom and he was bleeding. He's peeing blood, had lacerated kidney, a busted shoulder, bad knee, ankle.

And he has some regret. Man, I wouldn't have no regrets. I got my ass kicked. If there comes a point in time where everybody, you you gotta know when to hang them up. Andrew Luck is Stanford educated.

He left at the right damn time. Eight eight eight seven ten four ISN. That's 888-710-45. for ISN. We talked about John Wall and his retirement.

He decided to call it a rap. After, well, 15 years, he was drafted in 2010, only really played 11 seasons. John Wall. decided to call it quits. Hey, let's listen to uh part of his retirement announcement from earlier today.

Listen to this. I've been chasing a ball since I can barely walk. Driveways, parks, packed gyms, 5 a.m. workouts. I gave this game everything I had.

Faraday. to Kitaki. John Wall. to the lead. Good.

It's John Wall. Every jersey I've worn meant more than just wins and stats. It was about representing something bigger. And it's something I couldn't do without you. To my family.

My mom, especially. Thank you for all your sacrifices. I hope I made you proud. to my teammates. Trainers and coaches.

Thank you for believing in me. And to the fans. You made me feel unstoppable. Yeah, well He had he had a good career, well Botcha, I could say, yeah, he had a good career. He was a five-time all-star.

That's a good career. Despite all the injuries, he had a good career. I would say great career. You got paid too. Great.

I feel like if you make an all-star team and you get a max contract, you got a great career. No, when I think about a great career, I think about somebody who won a championship. Right? No. Yeah, it depends.

I feel like if you're in like a role player and you won a championship, you had a great career. If you're a star, all star and you get a max contract and you still don't win, you still had a great career. You know what? You're right. He did have a great career.

He didn't have a championship career. Not everybody wins a championship. He had an injury-marred career. Which is why it's tough for me to say, Oh, it was great, 'cause at the end of it was just He's just hurt. Just bust it up.

And now he thinks he's the greatest wizard of all time? Wes unsell.

Sorry about that. 888-710-4ISN. We got Theo. He's here from Baltimore, Maryland. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show, Theo.

What's up? Tay, I'd like to ask you three sports questions. And just just Looking at history. Number one If you had the money, which NFL team would would you buy into and the percentage? Number two.

Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Thro slow down, Theo. I mean, I let me let me answer one at a time. Is that okay? Yes.

Okay. You in a rush, Theo? No, no.

Okay, all right. If I had an opportunity to buy any sports or franchise, what would it be? Which which which team would you buy into if you had the money? NFL team? In NFL team, if I had the money, what would I buy into?

What, knowing what I know today, or just being blind? Knowing what you know. Oh, well that that'd be the well. Yeah, the Dallas Cowboys, they got the highest valuation. That makes sense.

Yeah, it does. You would have to have some big ends to do that though.

Well, you asked me if I had the money.

Well, that's true, but Jerry, of course, we keep the controlling interest. No, well, I don't. You didn't ask me about controlling interest. You said if I could buy a steak, if I buy a steak, I could do what I want with it.

Well, that's true, that's true too. Yeah. But uh Number two. Sayers, Brown, Sayers. Sanders.

O.J. Payton and Campbell. If you were a king, And you have to keep three of those. Which three would you keep? Oh man.

Well that's you're gonna make me judge off of of statistics, given the fact that Well, they were all in different eras. I was a kid when well, most of them played. And you named six. What am I supposed to do? Sit down and write these names down.

You said Gail Sayers, Jim Brown, O.J. Simpson. What were the other three? Walter Payton. Harold Campbell.

Sanders, O.J., Payton, Errol Campbell. Like you said, say as well. Oh, you put Barry Sanders in there, too? And you want you you want me to pick you want me to pick three of them? If you ha the draft Jim Brown.

Your brand will be number one. You can go. Jimmy Brown. What else did you say? Say you're not o not OJ.

Throw OJ the hell out of here. Not OJ. Why not O. J. Not OJ's.

I'm not personally, I know he's not here anymore. It don't matter to me. I'm not a fan of OJ. Even when he. He played.

I'm just, he did not come across to me as authentic. I like O.J. the same way I like Russell Wilson. I don't. They look like phonies to me.

And this is before OJ even, you know, allegedly went out and killed somebody. He just seemed like a phony. He was. That's a very, very, very different pers perspective on him.

Okay. You out another. Hold on. I got to pick another one. What's your last?

Just put Gail Sayers in there, even though it's a short career. What was your next question? The light next one. Oh my god. With the last one.

What would be your greatest heavyweight match. for the championship. in history. the two guys. You're top two.

And I know what would be Ollie. Yeah, Rumble in the Jungle.

Okay. Historically Which other champion which you have him face. Tyson. Um Yeah, Killinson. Which would be your absolute plan?

How can I save Jack Johnson outside of looking at his record? I saw Mike Tyson fight. I'd love Mike Tyson. That'd be an easier one. Tyson and Ali.

Yeah. That would be a better dream, a better drink. Absolutely.

Well, my duckets would be on My ducats would be on uh L A but I I'll just You know, but Tyson was a fury at the top of his game. At any rate, do you have hold before I let you go, Theo, and I have to go? Do you have ducats? Do you have some in a closet in your pockets? May maybe at one time I did, but Okay.

Now, not as much. But also, I like to end up by saying: you're at the top of your game, too. And keep. on doing it. Adios.

Well, thank you, Theo. I appreciate you for calling from uh Baltimore. Osiluego. Man, I haven't heard. Bacha, do you know what a ducket is?

I just googled it. I had no idea what that was. It was like a gold coin? It's money, yeah. It's old old money from a long ass Middle Ages.

From late Middle Ages to early twentieth century. Yeah, well. You thought you thought you were gonna have to drop him for what he said? No, I thought he was talking about like ducks on a pond. You know, ducks.

If I had to bet some ducks, no. Like, you know, they put all like, you know, all my ducks in a pond. Like eggs in a basket, you know, kind of like that. Isn't that an another cliche? Ducks in a pond or something like that?

Yeah, baseball. The RBIs. Yeah, the ducks are the ducks on the pond. Clear the ducks off the. Yeah, there you go.

Nope, ducats. You talking about something completely different. Damn.

Well What year is it? Did we do the did we just do this day in sports history? We still have to do that?

Well, I think Theo was this day in sports history. He brought everything back, running backs from the sixties all the way to the nineties. Yeah. Like, JR, do you want to see Jack Johnson? No thanks.

No thanks. I mean, what am I supposed to do about that? I can't do anything about that. Anyway, hey, thank you, Theo. We appreciate you.

It's the J.R. Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast, on the Infinity Sports Network. He said he would bet his money I forgot what he said he put his money on. I'll come back. On Muhammad Ali, all his ducats, right?

Okay. When we come back, I'm going to tell you what ducats you can or can't put. On the NBA, because they just might be changing what type of bets you can make. They're trying to curtail some of the gambling by the people on the inside. I'll explain on the other side of the break.

Yeah, we'll formally do this day in sports history before we roll out. It's the JR Sport Brief Show Coast to Coast in the year 2025 on the Infinity Sports Network. What's on your mind right now? The song you can't get out of your head? That breaking story?

Or that conversation you just have to be a part of? That's the brand new song from This is a breaking news report. He shoots! He scores! That's radio happening now, connecting you to what matters most, exactly when it's happening.

From the airwaves to every device you stream on, radio is everywhere you are. It's local, live, and it's for you. Tag your favorite radio station tomorrow on social media and use hashtag National Radio Day to celebrate. That's hashtag National Radio Day. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief.

It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast. on the Infinity Sports Network. Eight eight eight seven ten four ISN is the number. That's 888-710-4ISN. We talked about a lot of the news that's.

That's basically come out of the state of Indiana today, whether it's Notre Dame and their new. Quarterback and CJ Carr, Daniel Jones. Getting a go-ahead over Anthony Richardson with the Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck. letting everybody know he regrets how his time ended. In 2019, with the Indianapolis Colts leaving the team high and dry, we even talked about Sophie Cunningham.

Who's just grown into a social media star for the Indiana fever? As she tore her MCL a couple of days ago, she's out for the season. Just let me know when Caitlin Clark comes back. If she ain't coming back, I ain't watching, okay? And then we got into John Wall and his retirement.

There's a lot going on. But there's also. An underlying story. Especially for all my people out there who like to make some money, people out there who gamble. Got some news that we've received.

We know that the NBA Has been dealing with multiple investigations and players involved in. potential prop bets. Guys like Turry Rogier. Or not not prop bets, but manipulation of their own stat lines to try to help people out, allegedly. Terry Rogier, Malik Beasley.

Malik Beasley missed out on a brand new contract because of his investigation. We know Jante Porter.

Well, the the brother Of Michael Porter, basically a two-way player in the NBA. He's been banned. you know, for working with someone to manipulate his stat line. He got the boot for it.

Well, apparently, the NBA and even Major League Baseball are prepared. To fight back. They want to start limiting some of the harassment to their players. They want to eliminate as best as they can their players trying to manipulate their own stat lines. They want to potentially ban prop bets?

Take a listen to this story from WUSA nine. In the DMV. The NBA wants to reduce the chance prop bets affect athletes' performances. The league is currently investigating three players for giving bettors information. One of them, Jante Porter, was banned for life last year after he admitted he tipped off a better information.

Now, insiders say sports leagues are pushing for federal gambling regulation before things get out of control. Oh, man, are you serious? And why might things get out of control?

Well, Michael Porter junior, the brother of Jante, who's been banned, opened up his Yap last week And said something that we all know, but it's one of those things that why the hell would you say it? Listen to this. You get mad at these dudes that do the sports betting. But think about if you could get all your homies rich by telling them, Yo, no, bet $10,000 on my under, you know, this one game, I'm gonna act like I got an injury and I'm gonna sit out, I'm gonna come out after three minutes. And they all get a little bad because you did it one game.

That is so not okay, but the f Some people probably think like that. They come from nothing, and all their homies have nothing. 100%. And they're like, bro, if I come out of this game after three minutes and y'all all hit on my under, we're all getting a little bag. You know what I mean?

And obviously, my brother went through his situation. You know, Malik Beasley's going through a situation right now. Terry Rosier was in some hot water. But the whole sports gambling entity, bro, it's bad and it's only going to get worse, bro. Like, we really do get death threats.

But w what a way to kind of explain what the hell is going on. Thank you, Michael Porter Jr. I I had no idea that you could manipulate your stat line and help get people rich. I had no idea. It's sarcasm.

And for anyone who's not familiar with a prop bat, you might be more familiar with a line, where you can go over, under, team is going to score this many points. Probably more familiar with that. The prop bets is where you go, hey, is this guy going to have more than 12 assists? Is he going to have more than five rebounds? Is he going to have more than 30 points?

And it gets even deeper. Is he going to have more You know, points, rebounds, assists combined. Is he going to have this type of triple-double? I mean, there's a lot. that you could bet on.

It's like micro betting. And you've probably heard and seen about micro bets when you think about things like the Super Bowl. Is the national anthem going to take more or less than three minutes? You know, people bet on these things. What color shoes is this guy going to wear?

And so, yeah, a prop bet is literally something as simple as Hey, is this guy going to have more or less than five points? And if you're Jante Porter, You just go into the game and go, man, I ain't scoring five points. My ankle hurts. I'm sitting out. And you do have a lot of sports books.

who will say Oh, the guy's hurt? He's injured?

Well, when we're not counting this. No bet. Nothing. Zero, zip, zilch. but you can certainly go out on the court and still manipulate your numbers.

And so this is this is where the leagues are right now. And trying to eliminate this? You can only do this. With your partners. You know, the teams that you work with, the people that you advertise with.

That's a possibility. I just personally think. There is so much money involved.

Now I'd I'd venture to say Especially with the prop bets. you can bet and gamble. While the games are actively going on, You know, the game can move into the second quarter, and there's something new that you could go ahead and put your money on. I don't do do the leagues want to give this cash up? I know the sports books, they do not care.

It's one thing for the leagues to ask. Are they going to say no to the advertiser revenue? I just. I don't know. Bocce, you think they're going to succeed in doing this?

It's just too much money. No, it's too many moving parts where you have to regulate every single type of book. Every single time Yeah. and every interaction. It's just way too much.

to even Kind of logistically think about. It also makes it easier, and I get it from the league, and maybe this is them just standing on a hill. But it it it makes it easier for people to gamble. Why do you want to make it more difficult? I don't want to just bet on no over and over, and I'm not a gambler.

I don't want to bet on no over or under, but I can certainly say, oh my God, this is a game. Is this guy going to score more than 25 points?

Well, he's been on a heater. Like it's a couple of years ago when Joe Lambi actually pa played basketball. And he was going off every night was like thirty, forty points. He was just destroying everybody. To look at a bad team and go, oh, Joel Embiid is taking on the Charlotte Hornets, is he going to have more than 30 points tonight, or is he going under?

You know, it's it's a cool bet to go, Yeah, I'm taking his ass with the over. You know, he's going to have more than 30 points. I'm not interested in what the full line on the game looks like, so. The sports books, the leagues, they're gonna lose a lot of money. If they eliminate prop bats.

Now, if they're just doing this so they look good to maintain the integrity of the game. Then so be it. I mean, an NBA spokesperson put out a statement to the athletic and said, Protecting the integrity of our game is paramount. and we believe reasonable limitations on certain prop bets should be given due consideration. And so it may not be a full elimination.

I don't know. Maybe they'll say a guy has to play this many minutes before the prop bet kicks in. I don't know. We're going to find out.

Sooner than later. I just think there's too much money. And the league isn't stupid. NBA is not done. Major League Baseball is not done.

NFL is not dumb. They're going to keep prop bets. I'd be very interested to know what parameters they can put on it outside of Hey, somebody has to play this amount of minutes. I I don't know. We'll find out sooner than later, I guess.

Nobody's leaving money on the table. They waited all these years to embrace gambling. And now they want to put kind of barricades and and safety measures and bumpers around it. Good luck The cat is out the bag, the toothpaste is out the tube. You ain't putting it back.

It's a mess. And you decided to participate in it. Why? Is this going to make you money? 888-710-4ISN That's 888-710-4ISN.

It's the JR Sport Brief Show. On the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break. When we come back, thank you so much to Theo from Maryland. We're going to take a real look.

At a few things that took place this day. In sports history. We'll do that on the other side of the break. If you have any thoughts on gambling and limiting prop bets, feel free to call 888-710-4ISN. But right now, it's time for us to roll into a news flash.

Here he is, Pete McCarthy. What's on your mind right now? The song you can't get out of your head? That breaking story? Or that conversation you just have to be a part of?

That's the brand new song from This is a breaking news report. He shoots! He scores! That's radio happening now, connecting you to what matters most, exactly when it's happening. From the airwaves to every device you stream on, radio is everywhere you are.

on the Infinity Sports Network. Eight eight eight seven ten four I S N is the number. That's 888. Seven ten. four I S N.

Earlier this hour we had Theo call us from Baltimore. Thank you, Theo. I think we w we talked about everything from Jim Brown, a Jack Johnson. I'm like, damn, bro, how far are we going? You can't even beat anybody up for real now.

Well, that is going to be free on Netflix. Is that October? September we got Crawford, And taking on Canelo. Yeah, thank God. I'm sick of paying all this money for these stupid fights.

That'll be on Netflix. I paid for it. I should be able to watch it. Anyway. I'll be tuned into that in the year 2025, Theo, 2025.

But you know what? It's the end of the show. This is the real time. Will we really go back in history? Let's see how far back we're gonna go.

Because it's time for this day in sports history. Let's go. Back, back, back, back! Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore. But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again.

It's time for this day in sports history. See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything, and it was primitive and lousy, and we liked it. The JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. Oh, yeah, now we're going back closer.

We're going back close to Jack Johnson.

Okay? Because on August 19th, 1921. Tycop. Yeah, everybody's favorite baseball player. Not.

Uh He got his 3,000 hit. He was thirty four years old. He did it against Boston. He was the youngest player at that time. To reach the milestone, 3,000 hits for Ty Cobb.

in nineteen twenty one. Yeah, not the nicest things written about this guy over the course of history. And you got people who say it's fake. I would tend to think from a lot of things I've seen. Not this nicest of individuals.

August 19th. nineteen sixty five. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Jim Maloney. He threw his second no-hitter. In a season.

He went out there and beat the Cubs. One for nothing. Let's take a listen in courtesy of Major League Baseball. There have been only three putouts. by Cincinnati outfielders in this game.

Here's Ernie. Ground ball picked by Cardinus over to second out. Rose relays. The ball game is all over. Maloney's got a no-hitter.

A no-hitter for Milani, no runs, no hits, no errors, and nobody left. And there's the crowds gathering around him.

Now we're going to try our best to locate this kid. Yeah, that man had to go out there and he did it. Pitching 10 innings. Yeah, everybody nowadays is soft. Five innings, quality starts, six innings, quality.

Get out of here with that crap. Come on, that man had to go pitch 10 innings. To get a no-hitter. August 19th, another no hitter. in nineteen sixty nine.

As Ken Holtzman pitching for the Chicago Cubs, He no hit the Braves three to nothing. At Wrigley Field. Listen to this. All three, strike two. Here it goes.

Round ball. Backing up with it to throw the bank. It's a no-hitter. It's a nail hitter for Kenny Holtzman. Look at this!

Oh, brother! It's a no-hitter for Kenny Oltzman. Woo! Boy! And the fans are streaming onto the field.

The Andy Fran ushers and the police are having a terrible time trying to contain them. Hey bacha, if I threw a no-hitter, I wish there'd be that much enthusiasm surrounding it. But he got charged by literally everyone in the video. It was, I would say, a couple hundred to maybe a thousand people around on the field. Yeah, I want the enthusiasm.

I don't want all those people on top of me, you know? You want the color analyst to scream into the mic? Yeah, I want the color. I need him screaming. I don't need the fan.

That's when somebody accidentally injures you, somebody has a shiv. I mean, you never know. This was the 60s, okay? August 19th. Nowadays you can get into a WNBA game with uh rubber objects.

August 19th, 1965. Mike Tyson Oh yeah, he came back, he was in prison. He had that rape case against him. He was away for three years. Oh, how people forget all of us.

I mean, all these years later. Anyway, 1995 Mike Tyson. He took on Peter McNeely. Can he beat this guy up? It was over in 89 seconds.

I mean, McNeely's corner had to come in and save his ass. Listen to Mike Tyson knock another human being out. Mills lane. Stop that nonsense because they were starting to butthey. Oh, Tyson with the left took the right up.

Down goes McDealy again. McDealy's hurt this time, Steve. He's very hurt. He can barely stand up. In his flight, he's got about 30 seconds left.

They want Tyson to go to the neutral corner. What's going on? The wrong one. Oh, that was not correct. That was not correct.

That was not correct. He quit. That's it. He quit. McNeely has quit.

He didn't quit. His corner threw in the towel. He didn't quit at all. McNeely didn't quit at all. McCoy didn't quit at all.

He put his heart out. It doesn't matter. Your corner throws in the towel. Your corner quit for you. Over.

Done. I like how they said, oh, he's hit by Mike Tyson. He's hurt. Yeah. Yeah, most people who have been hit by Mike Tyson were hurt.

Yeah, except for uh Jake Paul. And he made it. August 19th, how about this? twenty eighteen. Damn, this guy's still playing too.

Novak Djokovic. He won and beat Roger Federer. at the Cincinnati Masters. And that doing so, He won. All nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.

Now, what the hell is that? Those are the minor tournaments. You know, outside of Wimbledon, the French Open, the US Open. Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid. Italian, Canadian, Cincinnati Open, ahead of the U.S.

Open, the Shanghai Masters, the Paris Masters. No back joke of it, you just... He wins everything. Take a listen to him beating Federer. History is made in Cincinnati.

Novan Djokovic becomes The first man in singles to capture all Number nine Masters 1000 titles. It's the golden master. Seals. in America's Midwest. What an achievement.

for the Serbian superstar. Who finally Gets his hands On the trophy. Man. And now he's still out here playing. Like he's getting ready to play in the US Open.

What are we doing?

Now it seems that he is also maybe has a little bit of a Health concern. He got beaten doubles. Let's see what he does in the U.S. Open. Come on now.

Bacha, he's like. Tom Brady at this point. I wish Jokovich would just go away. I feel like Djokovic only now cares about the main the main tournaments so he like he kind of like Cruises through all these small ones, like you said, and even still. He finds his way in the final four, it seems like every tournament.

And the only reason why he can't win. is because there's now two other generational talents playing beside him. Alcaraz and Center. Yeah. He just wants to beat him.

That's all he wants to do. He just wants, hey, let me pick up some more. Majors, let me beat the young guys, and then I could tell them how good I was. Just, dude, go away, please. Every time I have to listen to him say, hey, he did this with Federer, he did this with Nadal, I'm like, and he's still playing.

Have a seat. 24 Grand Slams won by Djokovic. He's. Trying to add to it. And there you have it, folks.

A few things that took place this day. in sports history. Yeah, he might be that guy that I'm like, man, bro, just sit down. I'm trying to think. There's not even an NFL player that I look at and go, man, I'm tired of him.

Is there an old-ass NFL player sticking around? Rodgers? Rogers is probably today's era, but. Adam Vinatari stuck around for a long time. Yeah, he's a kid.

But nobody really hates him. Yeah, people don't care about the kicker. People want to see the kicker play for as long as possible. You start getting Morton Anderson out there. How old is this guy?

Every time the kicker comes out, they tell you his age. Oh, this kicker is. 55 years old, you go, yeah, yeah, shout outs to the old guys. We need more old ass people playing. There's no, is there an NBA guy, Chris Paul, right?

Sit down? Chris Paul is like serviceable. You know, Eudonis Haslam was one of them. Tom Brady was serviceable, too. I got sick of looking at him.

Yeah. I feel like the NBA There's the only person that's really just been old and useless. Is there's a couple DeAndre Jordan.

Okay, yeah. And then Donnis Haslam. Haslam is he's done. Haslam's on TV. He's done now, but when he was with the heat at the end of his career, it was play a coach.

Play a coach. Yeah, I don't believe that. Yeah, nah, he was. He was player coach. That's exactly.

You what's not to believe? Just become the coach, then. No, no, no, no. I'm telling you, they wanted him in the locker room. There's a difference.

There's a difference between showing up in not a suit and tie. The coaches don't even wear that. Bacha, there's a difference between being in the locker room. You got a little bit more respect. And you could snitch.

Udonis haslam in a different space being a coach versus a player coach. That's. basically what he was.

So. Hey, we'll see. We'll talk about some more old guys at some point in time. Hey, shout outs to Destin Adams for joining us. coming through to talk about the Indianapolis Colts, their quarterback decision.
