We'll take your phone calls in a moment. Haven't talked about this one. I'm sure many of you noticed in fantasy, in which by the way I had locked into the Jameis Winston experience to beat Jason Feller. Yada, yada, yada. All he needs is nine points from Mike Evans if he plays tonight, and it looks like he will, to beat me.
Oh, fell. Because all Jameis got was nine points before he got yanked from the game. Yeah, the experience might be over. And got to wonder if the Jameis Winston experience is over. Yeah.
After taking a 10-0 lead, the Saints took a 34-10 lead. And then the Giants came back in this one. And we'll get to that situation in a moment. But the one thing that everybody's talking about, with all due respect to J.J. McCarthy's explosiveness off the bench, is the fact that Cam Scadaboo appeared to be nailed to it.
Six snaps played for Cam, all in the first half and then on top of it. boy the information men and women got a little birdie whispered to them on mass it seemed a lot of folks in the morning on sunday were tweeting out or posting out or threading out the fact that cam scadaboo was going to get fewer touches and naji harris was going to get some yeah i saw that and i immediately picked up naji harris to go against felly as well because I had some running back bi-week injury issues as well. But this is reality football we're talking about here. And in reality, Cam Scadaboo, you know, suddenly becoming useless or not used at all or benched or in a doghouse, that's a story. Because coming into the season, this guy's rehabbing, saying he was thinking of retiring.
He's back and he's, you know, flipping on the Fanatics Fest stage and John Harbaugh's like, you know, kind of laughing it off and then not laughing it off, but kind of laughing it off because, you know, Dart and Scadaboo are the tango and cash of the National Football League. Certainly the New York Jets. I mean, New York Giants, right? These are the guys that are going to lead the Giants in a battle. Dart and Skadaboo week one.
They looked unbeatable, right? Week two, Dart goes. Week five, Giants appear to be on the precipice of beating the Washington Commanders. Cam Skadaboo puts the ball on the ground. Four fumbles for number 44.
And that apparently was enough for the Giants. Or it's just the way the game played out. But Cam Scadaboo thinks it was a benching because he flat out said it. I got punished for what I did and I understand.
So I got to be ready when coach calls my name and that wasn't today. Was the punishment for the game ending fumble last week? Yeah, of course. What was the message from John Harbaugh to you this week after that? And did you expect not to have a carry at all?
I didn't expect to have zero. but I mean I was expecting to not play as much just like I did and the message is keep your head down and keep going. They understand the type of player I am and I just got to continue to do my job and do it to the best of my ability. You may be a master of the obvious but how difficult is that for you as the game in the second half is kind of getting away to kind of stand there and take this over? Yeah, it's hard but I've made mistakes and I've got to own up to them and if that is what they want to do is keep me on the sidelines because of that, I totally understand.
I can't make mistakes at this level of this game. And when you make mistakes like that, consequences are to be made. No rushes, no targets. Six snaps played all in the first half. It's not like they didn't get any production from the position.
As a bunch of players played and touched it, Najee didn't really get much run, actually.
Well, they were so far behind. Right. Singletary's there as well. Tyrone Tracy Jr. came up with his second career game with a rushing and receiving touchdown.
Becoming the fourth Giants player in the last 50 years to have multiple such games. The others are named Saquon Tiki and Ahmad Bradshaw.
So they got some production there. And then as the game got away, so did, I guess, thinking about Scadaboo. Because John Harbaugh was asked, is Scadaboo in the doghouse? Did you bench him? And he said no.
When did you make the decision to bench Cam Scadaboo as far as the running game goes? We didn't bench Cam Scadaboo. As far as not giving him carries? No, that was not by design. I mean, all those guys were taking equal reps in the first half.
We were trying to see who could make something happen, who could kind of get a hot hand and earn it. Nobody's really taking the bull by the horns. But clearly his playing time was decreased. He ended up having six snaps. Yeah, that's why I said it.
Because you're balancing it between four guys. Do the math. How many plays were there? And that was our plan.
Now, you can argue that. You can say, well, I don't like that. I don't like you divvying up the snaps between four backs. And I can tell you, I don't like it either. One of those guys needs to step up.
Somebody needs to step up and be the back. And none of those guys have done that yet. And when one of those guys steps up to be the back, then they'll be the back. That's your answer. And that's as honest as I can be about it.
And they know that, too. And believe me, they're all hungry. They want to step up. One of those guys wants to step up.
Somebody's going to step up and take that job. We're going to see who it is. How much of that was a byproduct of the fumbling, or are you talking about just the overall results? I think it's been pretty clear the whole story. I mean, there's really no more.
I don't even know what else to say. I mean, that's the best answer you could ever get on that in a thousand years. There's not a coach in the world that would give you a better answer than that. You're not, like, thrilled with that answer. I've got nothing else for you, honestly.
John Harbaugh in the New York metropolitan area ladies and gentlemen listen um here's the here's the deal pretty good Scadaboo is without a doubt the biggest spark plug they got at the position hands down the only guy that when he runs in a certain way and he's successful at it that can electrify the offense and certainly the crowd in Giants Stadium MetLife or whatever right That's a fact. He's also fumbling too much. And it seems to me, you know, Harbaugh can say that wasn't the plan. We're splitting it four different ways. The game got out of hand.
We had to use our third down back. He's not our third down back.
So we had to put our third down backs in. That's the way we're trying to come back. You could say that all the way. And Ravens fans can also sit here and go, John Harbaugh lost track of his star running back getting the ball in a game. Really?
tell me that story i think john is coaching this team hard in the way that he he knows and right now that's scataboo put the ball on the ground too much i also don't know how he is behind the scenes in the locker room if he's reckless or what have you i don't know they've told him about certain things and then he kept doing it again so this is a way to finally you know, wrap him on the nose here? I don't know. But you got to let John Harbaugh, certainly if you're a Giant fan, you can't like it, all right? But you got to let the guy do what you brought him on for and see if it works out. But, I mean, with all due respect to everybody else, I mean, there's only one guy that plugs into the crowd when he plays in a certain way, and that's Scadaboo.
I mean, the team is better when he's out there. And certainly you can't have him not touch the ball in a game. I mean, that's just – now you're cutting off your nose despite your – teach him about turnover face. I mean, that I believe.
So you got to let him do his thing and see how it works out. sucks that they lost the saints at home i'll tell you that certainly when the division is wide open we talked about it off the start jalen hurts bless him hopefully he gets back sooner rather than later it does not appear to be this year the cowboys cannot put four consistent quarters together for their life right now the commanders can't tell time okay and they're taking on the commanders tonight are taking on the 49ers the best team in football arguably all right this division is wide open from week seven on out and going into week seven The Giants are best position than anybody else in that division So let's take a deep breath and see what John does from here. And what I think he needs to do from here is turn to his Michigan man and say, go for it. The Jameis Winston experience, and even Jameis refers to it as an experience, which means it's a roller coaster. There'll be times I throw it to the other team.
There'll be times I put up 400 yards. There'll be times that we win, and there'll be times where you're thinking, why are we playing with him? You know what I mean? The experience is also him singing Hamilton songs from the podium. I get it.
But they also got J.J. McCarthy for a reason, in case the experience would go a little bit south. And in this game, they decided to put J.J. McCarthy in. God bless him, his first throw was an interception.
I'm like, oh, you've got to be kidding me, because obviously I am rooting for him in the biggest way. He made me the happiest I have ever been as a Michigan fan, and I also know he is a champion. I also know he is a dog. And what we saw out of him, 243 yards after all that, in the fourth quarter, the third most by a quarterback off the bench in a single quarter since at least 1978. throwing average almost 50 mile an hour fastballs with the football he was finding it he was slinging it and he was cutting it loose which is what good lord how many times you hear that with all these quarterbacks who young quarterbacks in the league bo nicks cut it loose kid yep let her times just let it rip kid he came in it's just like even after he threw he threw on the other team let it rip so they're taking on the texans next tough assignment but this is where you put scadaboo back in and tell him don't fumble it let's go you let it rip kid jj mccarthy you're starting you let it rip and find malik neighbors find isaiah likely which by the way i think mccarthy did in the last second of the game and he was flat out interfered with flat out three saints draped on him but play better than the refs ref they are three two and one by the way that's the way sometimes i count down i stop with a two i've been told three two i've been told that many times Three, two, one, contact.
I haven't told that.
So, let's go. J.J. McCarthy, talk to me. Talk to me, J.J. You know, felt at home in terms of just playing quarterback.
You know, just being able to run the whole show and make protection calls and, you know, be able to throw the ball a little bit.
So, you know, it was a lot of fun to just be out there with this group and, you know, be able to attack this next week no matter what happens and, you know, constantly go back to the drawing board board and just get ready to get better. You also led the team in rush yards too, by the way. Yeah, that's not good. I know. But he was doing whatever he had to do and he almost had this thing pulled off.
Yeah. They came back. He almost had Tommy Carr and J.J. McCarthy pull it off at the same weekend. But the Giants are best positioned.
They're best positioned and I think their best chance is J.J. McCarthy and for whatever is a non-benching, benching, teach him about fumbling, not really teach him about fumbling moment is one game's enough. Scadaboo, let's see what you got. And let John be doing what he's doing. That's why Giant fans, you know what I mean?
Let's just put it this way. With all due respect, which means, you know, I'm allowed to say something completely disrespectful. I'm directing this to Giants fans. if Brian Dable, Pat Shermer, you know, Ben, don't call me Bob McAdoo, right? Any of these guys that pulled a move like this, would you be flipping out saying, I don't trust this guy?
You would. And John, you got to just let him, like, let him do what he's doing. And I know Ravens fans, again, The number of times where he lost track of Derrick Henry's carries in fourth quarters, you know, you lost track. It's a championship game. I know.
So it's kind of on brand, but this one I don't think is that. I think he was definitely teaching him a lesson, and he's not putting it out there in the press. And the only thing he's putting out in the press is like, who wants to be the running back of the New York Giants and hold on to the football in the process? Who wants it? the problem is he didn't give Scadaboo a chance yesterday which makes me believe he was teaching him a lesson because Scadaboo certainly believes it right?
Sounded like to me Cowboys still favored to win the East and that's because they still have they still have their starter right? They still have their starter Yeah, that's the reason why we should run away with this right now at this moment but I don't think that's going to happen. I think the Giants have a shot. For real. For real.
McCarthy, let's see what he's got. Problem is his first... Here, here's the problem here. Giants are positioned to go from here to win the NFC East way better at 3-2-1 than the 2-4 Cowboys and Eagles. And we're assuming the Commanders are going to be 1-4-1 by the end of the night.
If they're 2-3-1, then it's a jump ball here. Yeah, primetime dogs are 9-0. I got it. Problem for the Giants moving forward is they are taking on a reborn Texans squad. Game of the day, wouldn't you say, was the London game?
Yeah. Between the Texans and the Jaguars? Most well played, too. No sacks in the game. Each quarterback was lighting it up.
Well, there were takeaways, too. Came down to the end. There were takeaways as well. I mean, Travis Hunter became the first player since Brian Dawkins in 2002 and the fourth player ever to have a receiving touchdown and an interception in the same game. Problem for him is he also was popped for kind of lollygagging off on a punt that left 12 men on the field and was a de facto turnover back to Houston.
He didn't play a clean game. He did that back-to-back drives, if I'm not mistaken. and he caught the touchdown, and then the Knicks flipped over the defense. This is what we thought we were getting last year. That's what you want.
And why you trade up and spend the capital for him. Right. That's to utilize. I like seeing it. By the way, he loves playing in Wembley, because I called the game last year Jaguars-Rams.
He had his only 100-yard receiving game of his career in that building. Was that his first touchdown as well? In that game? Yes.
So, yeah. I think. I don't know. I know it balled out. I can't recall that exactly.
Rich, do you think that people in Wembley think that watching these games, the kicker and the tight end are the two most important positions in football?
Well, maybe after the last two weeks. There were, what, four tight end touchdowns yesterday, if I'm not mistaken? And then games ended on kicks, too.
So, on Cam Little one week, Fairbairn the next. That stadium's used to kicks. Hey, man, it was an entertaining game. And C.J. Stroud's like the rookie C.J.
Stroud now, right? He back. By the way, your dream. I know. Your dream of an NFL team telling a top drafted kid that they go in a battle with that quarterback.
We are not going to pay you what the market is paying people. We are not paying you a market deal just because we drafted you. Because you have not won the Super Bowl yet or gotten us close to it. your dream of a team telling that quarterback we are not giving you that second 50 60 million dollar a year contract we're going back to square one you pegged cj stroud as that guy to finally be your you know your knight in shining armor that dream's dead for cj stroud being that guy for you sir yeah he's getting paid and by the way good for him texans are texans are like let's see it And he's like, how do these first six weeks look to you? I would like to think I inspired CJ.
Oh, is that right? It was all Brockman. Oh, is that right? Get back to that rookie form that we all know. I'm completely.
Second overall pick form. Yeah, that pick by Travis Hunter was his first interception of the season. But other than that, man, he has been on point. An inspiration, TJ. Sure.
On point. And it's kind of funny. This is an overreaction Monday subject. Everybody should seek it out. They're 2-4.
Jacksonville's 4-2. Who do you feel better about right now? Jacksonville is just, I don't know. Their games in London didn't look anything like their games in the continental United States. For the second straight year, they're the ones in London for an entire week, fully acclimated to the time zone.
And a team that arrives on the Friday before that game, in which they're the ones there for an entire week, they lose. I don't get that.
so the Texans defense still is not the same thing I mean Basial Tootin did his thing and you know Trevor Lawrence 306 yards and four touchdowns it's the first time he's thrown for four touchdowns and lost in his career so by the way can confirm that was Travis Hunter's first career touchdown receiving last year and he had another one in Wembley and he's had zero anywhere else. He loves it there. He loves London. He wants the team to relocate. Trevor Lawrence and Kirk Cousins lead the NFL in passing touchdowns.
I mean, who would have thought it? It looks like it's going to be Houston versus Jacksonville for this division as Indianapolis is 2-4 having fired their general manager and clearly put their coach on notice. The Tennessee Titans, congrats to them. They're the ones who got the you know the Colts essentially to act because they just beat Indianapolis for their first win of the season it's going to be a Houston versus Jacksonville game this was technically Jacksonville's home game against Houston and the next time they see them they're at Houston week 15 they're taking a bye which they didn't do last year they went straight from London I think they went to Vegas last year, won that thing in overtime with the skin of their teeth, and then eviscerated everyone from there on out until they're lost to Buffalo in the playoffs. They're getting Indianapolis next at home in Week 8, at Baltimore, in a great Thursday night Week 9 opener.
At Tennessee, they take on the Giants.
So, before getting Tennessee twice in the span of three weeks, they can get right real quick. Jacksonville. They can get right real quick. And that game against Baltimore is going to be crucial because if neither one of them win a division, that could be a wild card situation tie break. Exactly.
Because the Ravens have got everyone else in their division above 500, too. Not the case for Jacksonville, which is good for them. But Houston next for the Giants and they can go to 3 Feeling good about themselves because after that can they get back to 500 off of their bye at the Chargers? I'd say so and then Houston's at Cleveland which is a big one too if neither of these teams win their division that could be a wild card scenario before welcoming in the Indianapolis Colts on a Thursday night kickoff. Baltimore at Pittsburgh.
And man, they have had the Chargers and Steelers number the last few years.
Okay, game on. Texans appear to be back. We'll be back on the Rich Eisen Show talking a little college football and also with our WeatherTech fan line. We'll be up for grabs. We'll take your calls in a matter of moments right here on the Rich Eisen Show.

It's on my last line now. What's up, Jeffrey? How are you, bud? How you been? Jeff.
What's happening? What's buzzing, cousins? Everything good? Listen, I wanted to say, first of all, It looks like they got a new car there in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I tell you. I don't know if Bryce is getting his job back.
But I wanted to ask you, Unc, which one is more surprising to you? The fact that the Rams are in the basement, the Chargers are winless, or that Cleveland is at the top of their division in the North, in the AFC North. Because remember, Deshaun Watson was supposed to be giving that job up week three. and everybody wrote them out. That's correct.
The Rams were going to run through the division, possibly 16-0. That's correct. I remember Chris Brockman batting that one down real quick. But which one is more surprising to you?
Well, I had the Browns on my sleeper list prior to the season, so I'm not going to go there. They're all surprising, obviously. I've got to go Chargers. Did you see them on set? No, I think Chargers.
I mean, their first two games were against Arizona and Vegas at home. If they drop one, they'd win the other. We knew they had a hard schedule. Winless? But the first two, let's get those off the board.
Get off to a decent start. But yeah, winless. Yeah, Jeff. I'd go with that. We just lost them.
There goes Jeff in Detroit, everybody. They might legit be 0-10. If you look at their schedule, that is not out of the realm of... They're coming off the bye. At Rams, home for Houston, at Baltimore.
Dude, if they lose to the Jets at home... I mean. Did they lose to the Jets at home? I know the Jets are better, but come on now. The Jets are playing better.
I don't know. How about Omar Cooper? I don't know if my brother or I haven't spoken about whether he's going. You guys going? I'm not.
Put the Corbett jersey on? Put the Corbett jersey on. Lee, my nephew, when he was younger, I took him to the game in San Diego to see the Chargers, Jets Chargers. He wore the Curtis Martin jersey, and that's when I was informed we were going to invite you in the owner's box, but that's just not happening. Omar Cooper had a nice night.
He did. Against New England. He did. Hey, listen, the Jets have got some young good players. Braylon Allen.
Beast. Yeah, he is. Big boy. Yeah. I don't know if I want to out Vinny Pasquantino.
I texted him about it, but I'll screw it.
Sorry. Who cares? But he shouldn't think that he's sending me a private text that that's fodder for the show. Oh, that's true. Yeah.
But he's very excited about Braylon Allen. And the way that he analogized who he is is quite something. At any rate, your Patriots took care of business at the end of the day. Indeed. 26-19, because the Drake May of the first three weeks is over.
He gone. He's not coming back. 844-204-RICH, number to dial here on the program. Gino snuck in the back.
So Jeff in Detroit was mentioning how the Michigan Wolverines taking on your Penn State Nittany Lions, a 3-0 game at half. Yeah, I stopped paying attention. I could not, you know what I mean? Like, this is my ride or die. I mean, two interceptions by Bryce Underwood.
I had one of my dear fraternity brother friends from back in college text me at halftime saying if Bryce comes out at halftime, I'm snapping the game off. I need to see Tommy Carr. And, you know, some of it's on Bryce.
Some of it was not. And I was wondering, is Kyle going to, with his own set of eyes, because Bryce Underwood, his body language going into halftime, it looked like he was miserable. and I you know if you're if you're looking at your leader and like that's that's that's tough to look at and Kyle decided to make the move that so many in the alumni base have been saying let's see what Tommy Carr looks like can we and we took the car for a spin and suddenly you know the run game's working and everything else was working in a way that we hadn't seen with consistency over the first couple of months.
So I think this is his show. With all due respect to Bryce, Indiana's next. Can't make any mistakes there. Because they're coming in off their first loss. They just stay in bounds.
I mean, I'm just going to say. Had Ohio State right where they wanted them. Listen, I am an expert on playing against the Ohio State and how best to beat them. Missing a bunny field goal. All right.
That ain't it. Giving up a sort of Hail Mary touchdown to Jeremiah Smith. That ain't it. That's not it. You make a mistake.
you are going to pay for it and if they make a mistake you need to make them pay for it that simple that simple and i do not know i mean i think josh hoover did he throw the ball a little bit too far out of bounds is that what that's he was pressured he kind of threw it off his back foot all he had to do was throw it all you had to do is throw it inside yeah it just kind of drifted Just anywhere near close to the eye in the end zone. He was under duress when he got right. I know. I thought they were going to pull that thing off. Sure looks like it.
That ball's in the air. You're like, oh, man, he's wide open. Charlie Becker apologizing to Ryan Day. I think you got the photograph queued up. Put that up there.
He apologized to Ryan Day before the game about the way he celebrated beating Ohio State last year. He's a good player. He is. And Day's a really good coach, man. and now he's going to have to really coach because Julian Sane is out for a good period of time.
I don't know how long he's going to be, but he left in a sling. I mean, you could tell he couldn't. And the kid who came in definitely wasn't ready for that primetime game at Indiana. They got a bye, and then it's USC, which would love to put a Buckeye, you know, scarlet and gray pelt on their wall. I honestly also thought later on that night it was going to be a big day for the Carr family because when Tommy Carr scored that touchdown, running in a third and nine option play, held onto it forever.
I'm like, really? We got Tommy in the game, and we're going to run an option on third and nine, and it was one of those no, no, no, no, no, yes moments for me watching it because he runs it in. And then Brian Greasy is sitting next to Lloyd Carr. I saw that. Did you see that?
Yeah. You know, the championship quarterback of Lloyd Carr's only championship team, sitting next to him with his arm around him, watching his grandson score a touchdown in a game where we didn't know if we were going to see him in, was good for the soul. I understand I'm biased, but that was incredible. And I thought we'd see a great night for the Carr family. As CJ Carr in BYU, marching down the field in win or go home time, he was remarkable.
I like him. He's really good.
Okay. That Bachmeier is pretty good for BYU too. And every single time that Chris Fowler said his name, I thought he was saying Brockmeier. Brockmeier. Brockmeier.
But BYU has the lead. Notre Dame's marching down the field. And, you know, speaking about a bear, I can't believe I'm about to do this. Oh, God. Bear Bachmeier is dope.
He he is great And BYU is great to see what an incredible scene But I wondering if just because fans are coming on the field the officials just lost track that there was one more second left I can believe I talking about how notre dame was hosed in the same way western michigan was with the exception of me saying there should have been a second left on the clock which i still believe it was in michigan but listen how do we how do we after but the question is how do we after all of this from week one how do we after all of this still not have it right in college football because there was a second left on the clock. Yeah. And pass interference. My God. As the day is long.
Yeah. And the Big 12 apologized for it. Cool.
Sorry. That doesn't help us in the moment, right? In the same way, McVay's going to get another apology from the NFL for another thing that Josh Wallace was flagged for that he shouldn't have been flagged for. He'll allegedly get over. I don't want to get him in trouble.
But how do we get this wrong? a second left on the clock fans are running on the field it's like yeah go back to your seats and as a matter of fact the ball's from like the what is it in college football it's still half the distance to the goal right so it wouldn't have been it's not a spot foul in the end zone bottom line is Notre Dame should have had one more shot at it closer to the end zone even if you didn't call a pass interference which they did not they still won more shot and CJ Carr was on a heater at the end of that game but a massive seismic reordering of the college football playoff ranking this weekend as Georgia got taken out by Auburn Florida took out Texas again and now Texas is talking about giving more snaps to somebody not named Arch Manning Sark did say still the starter but the redshirt freshman is going to get more reps not going full scadaboo on him got it And it's BYU up to two. Ohio State up to three from four. Notre Dame only dropping two spots to four. Georgia dropping from one to five.
Indiana from five to six. There's Ole Miss. Texas Tech, UCLA, and Utah undefeated. Five undefeated. It's Miami, BYU, Texas Tech, UCLA.
Doing Texas Tech this week. and Utah.
So, let's see. First playoff rankings are released on November 3rd. Who cares? It's all just like, let him say this, that, the other thing, and then it'll just be like, we'll just reverse it for two people. We'll telegraph the way we're thinking until it doesn't matter that we telegraphed anything.
That'll be another thing where I'm happy about the 24. There's very few things that are going to be good about that. because honestly, Indiana and Ohio State, if there's 24 teams, right? They're both getting in. It doesn't matter if the toe was out at the end or not.
Now, for Michigan and Penn State, the third loss might be the end. Like, what's the cutoff of the number of losses that will be acceptable to get in? Three? I think three. Or is that too many?
I don't know. That three might be too many. You might have to. I don't know. Do three losses in the Big Ten are the same as two losses in another conference because the scheduling is going to still be different?
Yes.
You know what I mean? So now we're going to basically focus on not like who's one through four for the bye weeks and who's going to be eight, nine, ten because two schools that shouldn't be involved in all this are going to be 11 and 12. It's now going to be a conversation. Who's 20 through 24? taking some of these games out of the mix.
I mean, people will still spill onto the streets of Auburn because they beat Georgia. Right. As they should. It's not like it's going to, you know, and they're going to still jump out of the stands, BYU beating Notre Dame, even with a second left on the clock. These are all common.
We'll talk about it with Pate when he joins us, I believe on Wednesday this week.
so but i do i i do believe um barring injury uh tommy car is your new start at the university of michigan you're good with that oh yes result i'm results oriented and hey i'll just say this to bryce underwood through the through this the camera right here uh bryce young got benched he was number one overall he got benched now look at him jalen hurts the most famous college football benching this century benched by the arguably greatest coach in the history of the sport quarter of a billion dollar contract professionally so head down and if you walk out the door and transfer somewhere else because jalen hurts did eventually leave. I get it. I totally understand it. But there but for the grace of the football gods, he could be under center against Indiana. Or Ohio State.

Listen, when Caleb came back and he's just like talking about, you know, his hamstring and what the reporting was and this and that and the other thing. And I thought like, okay, just he's a little too online for me. And then I saw, you know, his comeback video that he posted, you know, and he'd only been gone, you know, from week two to week six.
So he missed games three, four and five. I'm like, OK, he's on. He's got a team to do this and he's just online. And this is the way he feels. He feels disrespected.
And it was the butt of a lot of jokes. Not here, though. No, not here. but i was like but online for sure that's what i said last week in in basically saying why is he arguing with the media right okay you know what he's saying you know unless you hear it from the boss man or you know me the horse's mouth don't believe it so somebody then asked the horse's mouth and he goes nay i will not answer see what i did right there a little dad joke mixed in with a a sports take at any rate listen if this is what it takes for him to get ready for a game and then we see the results like his return in atlanta don't change a thing man don't change a thing 30 for 36 305 yards passing he's dealing man dude he certainly was that guy who texted overreaction Monday wanting his fantasy bucks back from me caping for Colston Loveland. 18 bones.
All right. I'm not giving you a darn thing. He found Loveland for his first touchdown. He completed all 26 of his attempts when the Falcons failed to generate pressure. Oh, man.
And when you do pressure, we'll just run away from it and make some sick play. He completed his first 12 passes. That's the most by him at any point in his career. And I'm mentioning all this stuff because it is unique. Not a lot of players do that.
But it's also maybe his superpower is his accuracy. 83% completion percentage. 83. Luther Burden, 95 receiving yards. Loveland, over a season high, 65 yards.
And then the run game. Kalmanungi out. He had almost 200 yards, what, against the Jets a couple weeks ago. In comes Roshon Johnson, everybody. Exactly.
defensively they took their foot off the gas seemed like it because they were all over michael pennix in the first two three quarters i thought they were bringing in uh tua at some point he spent some time in the blue tent right off the bat then he made it a game he got some fantasy points for anybody who was uh starting him or kyle pitts or drake london not not bijon i mean the bears took Pigeon out, didn't they? Didn't they? He didn't rip any monster 60-70 yard runs off. What do you have, seven fantasy points?
So, Bears have re-entered the chat in the NFC North. Vikings coming off of a bye week. They're taking on the Indianapolis Colts. Oh boy. The Packers are taking on the Lions next.
That's a big one in division and conference. while Chicago starts off week seven on a Thursday night or at home against the Patriots who have won three in a row. Wow. Let's see what happens now. What a fun Thursday night or Caleb versus May one versus three in that draft class.
Nice. And tonight we see number two in that draft class, the commanders against the 49ers. We'll talk about that on Tuesday's program with Kurt Warner. He's moving up a day because he asked and we're kind enough to say yes. It's Kurt.
It's Kurt. It's Kurt. Yeah. You know what I mean? Say no to Kurt.
I mean, it's a Hall of Famer. Is he finally going to answer if Justin Herbert's done for the year with being effective? You should keep asking. Kurt Warner, Cam Hayward on the show as well. And Chuck Lorre.
Oh, yeah. Two and a half men. Nice. Among many other items. The king of comedy.
Not named Rupert Pupkin. That's a reference to a Scorsese movie. It's a great movie. Thanks for listening to the Rich Eisen Show podcast. You can watch and listen to the Rich Eisen Show live weekdays from noon to 3 Eastern on ESPN Radio, Disney Plus, and on the ESPN app.
